"Suppose all we can say at this stage is, you know, it's incredibly exciting and, you know, he's a brilliant horse going forward, isn't he? And the right horse in real world is finished second on the ratings. So it has a decent to it. He's won it comfortably. And now he's such a short price for Asuka and on they go. And, you know, we need these stars, don't we? So fingers crossed. He can remain unbeaten and become a real champion. Like frankl. Yeah, I would certainly agree with that. Perhaps alcohol free and he did the race as well, by the way. Maybe she'll improve. And step forward. Or maybe that's as good as alcohol free years. I say that because the Sussex stakes are going to be really interesting. We don't know what crevice is going to do and we don't know how native trail gets on. I still have my suspicions about native trail. But however, all of that pans out and plays out. A three year old is going to be taking you on. And it could be a superstar three year old. It could be the Caribbean absolutely slays them at royal ascot. It could be the native trail does the same thing in the Irish 2000 guineas. In which case, you're building up to this really exciting match between two exciting three rules. There could be another one to immersion on the scene in the meantime as well. And so there could be high class miners. From the three year old generation taking on by eat and giving them something to think about. And he has to give them weight. And that will be intriguing to see. That'll be really that'll be very exciting. Especially with the strength and depth of Charlie I will be stable, you know, he's got so many aces, hasn't he in the pack and he's falling. He's got so many friends. And modern modern news yesterday was just ridiculous in the French 2000 games. That was insanely good. And another. Yeah, and could easily win the RS 2000 guineas at the weekend with native trail, although again, there's something about net interest rate that I'm not entirely happy with, but it's just started nagging down. I have a lagging down the back of my mind. I don't know why you had to go for the trial. Kree bus was going for that. And it was on paper, the creep is going for it. And then they swapped. And that's a message that's just making my spider sense tingly. So I don't know, I'm a little bit concerned about him. Cue him winning by 15 lengths of the car, and then all doubts are quashed. But there was a really good point by our good friend Declan ricks. Made on talk sport two. On Friday, when I was presenting coverage from New York. By the way, well done to you, what an incredible week they had. It feels like a month ago, but what an amazing week your cat and they've also produced the Derby and oaks favorites. Uber about to talk about. But Rick C likes a good old rent. And this one was on point. He said, what the hell are newbury? And for that matter, racing doing. Where is the promotion? For the best horse in training. Yeah, you have a point there. This is Rick's point. I'm just relaying it back. Relying. I could easily still want to put that wouldn't be fair on rixi. But it was a terrific point that he made. You know, we're talking about how do we get more fans into racing? How do we get more people interested in racing? And with the visual displays that you have now, like with video, advertising pitches all over the UK and now all over Ireland as well. You can do like a brief Montage of him winning. And just blowing the opposition away in his two group ones last season. They see on beaten by Eid at newbury, come racing, or watch him on racing TV. Before it switches to sky. And an ITV. The Saturday. Where was the hype for it? Where is the building up of it? It was none of that. None of what you would expect. It was a little below par. The only hope you were getting was from a show like this and to their credit to racing TV. And ITV. And it's in there, it's in all of our interests to provide it. But it's definitely in their interest to because they want people watching. But I didn't see it. I didn't see an enormous amount from the BHA going. This Saturday, the unbeaten baid put his record on the line in the group one lock inch. See, the best horse in Europe in training, this week, only a newbery. None of that. None of it. I think we get stuck in our little bubble sometimes, so don't we in racing. Oh, for sure we do. It's kind of like, yeah, see the bigger picture and think outside the box a little bit and try and engage the masses and try and get them in and build up the anticipation. Like boxes, for example, isn't it? You know, like, there's a big fight coming out. There's so much bourbon, you know, excitement around the fight, but you know, similar and racing, we've got the horses tell the stories, don't they? They've got the, we've got a huge star of the sport going forward. You should be selling me. You know, selling the sport, isn't he? Because of his potential, his greatness. And it's not like, it's not like the horse can talk, so it's not like I'm expecting a press conference where by each step. And does a Conor McGregor and he says, I.

"So it's a fascinating race. Wouldn't be surprised, the best and incredible one or he's in the other side. I'll sit this one out. See, I would unfold just plenty of time to get involved later in the day. Plenty of time for these horses to be back in other races later in the season. A 100%, and also whoever wins this race. Well, you already have three of these horses in your tracker because excellent book jumpers to follow 2021, 2022. So they're already in your tracker and you're like, oh, God sex. This is ridiculous. I didn't buy a book. So the three of these horses could be running in a four runner race at the helmet. It's a brilliant book and showing a profit already. But the key point to make here is the previous winners this race. Grand cru, 2011. It was a very smart horse and ended up being sent off favorite from memory for the RSA. It didn't work out. Native river took it back in 2015. Thistle crack in 2016, elegant escape in 2017, santini, 2018. We'll skip one and then go next destination 2020. Because you just bend stats to your will. And what it is that you want from them. So it's a race well worth watching. That is the 1240 at newbury. We were covering this meeting for talks for two today McKenzie Declan Rick's Lizzie Kelly and Rupert bell. I'm a self and the ground was definitely good to soft. It did rain, but newbury drains very well. So it remains to be seen how much rain there is overnight and how much it affects the track, but they seem to think not very much. They seem to feel that it's going to be good to soft for the remainder of the meeting and we'll see how that works out. The one 15 kaluki. Heads the bedding. And I made a joke with the kaluki traders about this, going, well, every final full on podcast listener, who's watching ITV and racing TV is going to be going kaluki of their own horse. To which they responded LOL, by the way, we actually offer customers a free bed of kaluki wins. Whenever he runs, so if kaluki wins free bet, so get involved with the kaluki sportsbook. Kaluki or should spell this out for. Kaluki or on Twitter, clicky sports book on Google and you can watch out. Although I think they've decided to duck going out and actually being on track and taking bets in the ring at newbury in a Newcastle because of The Rain. To which one of them made a comment that I can not repeat. But it's there for you in the WhatsApp group. Kaluki team, and you can all read it there. So he heads the billing for Philips. The resurgence of Philip Hobbs says, mister gilardi, chuckling away to himself somewhere back on the show next week. Paul Nichols has. Go with that why not? Killer clown for Emeril is probably the horse that I'm just about leaning with, although grand saucy, I thought it was very, very interesting. So break it down for me, my man. I'm probably going to throw good money after bad on grand sulci. Second run after a wind up, whereas a hood, Harry skeleton on board for Paul Nichols. What's your thoughts? Yeah, I like kaluki. I think he's ready to last time I was on and you mentioned that the new sponsors. I think I mentioned the whole stream by Philipp hub. So I think the conditions are ideal for them, so I think he wants decent ground and I don't think he might get three miles. He was of course in distance when his chase debut last year at the early affliction in November and then he actually finished the next destination in the race. We've just covered the grade two John Frank and novices chase. Obviously acts well at the track. Last time we see him was over two and a half at newbury. And he is also kind of the falls between two sto and so there's two mile 6 trip is absolutely ideal for them. While steel and Philip was struggling throughout the season, kaluki was one of the consistent runners obviously disappointed in the field, but any Iran better than the results in the Reynolds sound. He's been first three laps in the end by remaster. Again, he traveled well. And he on both occasions that he shaped to me like he wants to go back on the left hand of the track. So he didn't do much wrong at all when he was just touched off by export the tape at this truck over two and a half back in March, or the extra couple of fail on stable and form decent ground. I think everything is very much in his favor. So I'd expect him to go well. The one I thought was the danger was killer clown leaves, touched upon. He finished 6th in the old royal chase. Honestly appearance. And I thought this is working out really well. It run reasonably well done quite a bit, it's actually been a brave man's game last week stayed on when he looked like he was going to fall away midnight out of obviously when the party power got funny and industrial balls ago today at newbury. So it's pretty rock solid form. I think this is back down in grade slightly to killer clowns level. And again, he's tried three miles a couple of times and possibly this truth be done. We don't see it very often, but two mile 6 around the new stages race over this road trip. I think that could suit him. He's got TPUs onto the first time. Obviously, not the desired effect today for Paisley park. Hopefully I'm a little bit more better looking. I can seek a little while I'm going again. I think a flat track and decent ground suits him. So I don't understand why they're towards the band. They'd be my two against the field, but I'd be with kaluki. I think it would be a great race, and he should be there or thereabouts. And you're not just saying that because of the sponsors, you're saying that because kaluki genuinely has a very good chance. And it's a good point to make that this is one of the few fellow policies who actually was consistent last season. So if he can build on that with.

"Darren knows what's up. That man knows what's up. You talked about your friend watching. That's something that Steve Melissa has emphasized so many times over the years on racing TV. I think Lydia his love was saying, you might have 5 bets in the space of 6 months. Like he will just wait until the time is right. And it's all about price ground train to form everything being right. Everything has to be right. And if it's not, it goes just sit back and wait. And if the horse wins, his attitude is, oh, well, my verdict was justified. I was right about it. And it's okay to be right about it without having a financial involvement. And the big thing is MS that you know you're doing it right when you can say to yourself, if the race was running again tomorrow, I'd have the same bet again. Yeah, there was a cool. There was a quote from James Willoughby that I loved and made me really sit up and think before you place a bet. On whatever horse you're backing at whatever the price is. Just imagine the horse gets beaten. 17 lengths. Would you still would you still place the bed? That's the question. Exactly. If you replace the bet, if the answer is yes, it's because you think the price is right and you think the conditions are right. And you're willing to take the risk. Every time we place a bet, we're rolling the dice. If it's a flat race, you're always going to get boxed in. If it's a jumps race, your horse can fall. And your horse can get boxed in as well. So you are rolling the dice each and every time you do it. And it's your money. No one's forcing you to place a bit. You're the one who chooses to do so. And you made a very complimentary remark about final foreign podcast listeners. The Oftentimes, the listeners to the show aren't so much waiting for Rory or Paul Ferguson to give him the gravy. It's nice if Rory or Paul or Matt tombs or Lucy Rus for that matter. I could go on and on and on mentioning names. Verifies their own opinion and then boosts that, but you're kind of coming in with your own thoughts. And then you're listening to the show to find out what one of the lads made of this. What's the assessment of the weekend's action? What's the assessment of the race? And so the final question that I have for you about the Bedford chases, he's clearly very exciting. He's going to be 8 when the goal cut comes around to what he'll be fit and well remarkably Henry could have the first and second in the market again. After training the one to last year, but what did you make of the race overall? Because you've got Bristol to pulling up Ronald page, Declan ricks was asking a question, Ricky's on with those on talk sport too on Fridays. And he has to really a question on Twitter. Was it a case of that the jockey just Charlie deutsch just ease down on him or was it a case of that he just got obliterated? What was and when someone gave him the official comments intriguingly enough from the ATR app he goes, you don't already buy into those comments. Rick Steve doesn't care. Doesn't play a fiddler. He just calls it out as he sees it. But what was your as a race reader as a pro better? What was your assessment of that race? Never took Bristol seriously before the race even started. All this kind of emotional stuff about how many wins and this time of year and all that type of stuff could look no chance. He's ten. He's finished. He's coming up against the horse who's 7. He was one 7 times at a 17 runs, that started, you know, hurdling as a three year old in France. And it is absolutely on the upgrade. And you can't expect another horse who is under downgrade. And I say, respectfully, because, you know, it has had a great career. But the judgment call that you have to make is like in any sport that this trajectory for this horse is going, you know on the up. And this trajectory is going down. And then it's a very difficult job to train horses that are getting that little bit older. And, you know, they become a little bit cute. They might need to do more work. They might change the routine day. There could be loads of things that could be going on. So yeah, I didn't entertain it. I wouldn't have got a couple of texts or whatever on Saturday morning. What do you think the three to one Bristol? I said, good luck. I wouldn't be taking it in a fit. But that's very easy for people to say after the race. So I'm not trying to rain on anybody's parade. I'm just trying to say here that what we saw was a potential star performer is the loads of very good reasons from the jockey's perspective and how the race was written, your deal, and you're dealing with one of the best in the business in terms of Henry and the race unfolded in a way that would have suited up your tar. It's a particular type of track and there aren't any undulations or cumbers in it that can change your race. So let's just look at it for what it is. And I wouldn't really have a goal at anybody else or what happened in the race. I think we just saw a particularly good horse. Yeah. But a 100% echo everything that you said, I'm intrigued as to what second season chaser comes through. Because they tend to have very good records in the gold cup. And maybe maybe it's changing house for the king George, but the sentry has won three miles two and a half. That's the crucial thing. And even that was a plutarch. If you go back to march and you look at his defeat because there will be people who go, well, hang on a second. He was beaten manilla indo fair and square. And he had Rachel blackmore on his back. Surely this then means he can't win a gold cup. I don't necessarily agree with that because the way Henry was talking about emphasizing what you and I saw on the HD pictures on racing TV that he has strengthened up that is backend has strengthened up at the power comes from there, and that he looks like a tighter and stronger horse this season. You're going to be dealing with a very different animal..

"Hurdles and then if chases what you want to do, you're chasing sooner rather than later. So if you do two, three seasons of war hurdles, they tend to jump flat. You know, on horses do get away with it and you do get horses or kids winning top class chases, but it's not. It's not ideal. And I'm also not a fan of switching up what's defense is halfway through a season, depending on how they get on. I think you'd probably come up short in the long walk. I'd like obviously a minute. You know, he's been an absolute fashion horse over the years, but he's just looking a little a little bit low what we've seen in the last year or two. Even taking his issues into consideration. So given his age and given the fact that he doesn't click on demand these days, he's probably got his work cut on, but I'd rather see him on a really good race and finish in the frame and the long walk and stay over hurdles than for him to finish 5th and then go chasing. Not like to see that. I agree with you. This isn't for me. You know, it is entirely up to connections. And I would never be in a situation where I say you must not do this. You pay, you pay the bills, you make the call. But personally, I prefer not to see him go chasing at his age because I don't think it's massively beneficial. I think he'd be I think obviously he'd be able to you could play some to win with the reference as well too much trouble as an office. And then you're not that far away from me to be able to run him in veterans chases. Qualify for veterans chances in January. Yeah. So you want to give them an easier time with things. That's a way of doing it. But the very fact that you can say that sentence, he could run in veterans chases in the spring. And he hasn't seen a fence is maybe a sign that that's probably not the ideal thing to do. Yeah, exactly. And look, it's not a 14 situation Williams raised eyebrows when he said that the punches sound first of all. I could chase them beforehand next year. Yeah. What? But he did and started. He started his career over fences that season. It's a different story. I completely agree with you, if you're going to start over hurdles, particularly run twice over hurdles, and then go, oh, let's go chasing. It's different if you start out over fences and do an about turn bouvier style and go actually maybe we're better off of our hurdles. That's it completely different topic. And it's a different thing because you're learning about the horse and going, you know, might be better to do this. This is a stairs hurdle champion. We're talking about. He's clearly not at that level, but it was interesting to hear both Aidan Coleman directly after the race. Andrew Campbell is an absolute gentleman and an absolute legend. And as you said, it's not for us to tell them what to do. But in terms of betting and backing the horse, this is the conversation that we can have. If Andrew decides, they want to go chasing. That's fine. But he was saying just how well the horse was working in the lead up to the race on Thursday. I was pundit and ruper bell was presenting I was presenting on Friday. He was my pundit with Declan Rick's casting, and we had Rachel king the Australian jockey. Sorry. The English jockey who's based in Australia now has a full blown Australian accent bidding for history when the Melbourne cup and beyond the second woman to do so. Oh, max dynamite. How you should have won. How you should perform the Mel Bronco. But I really don't like the idea of let's go for another hurdle race and then go chasing when he's gonna be ten in the new year. It's just not the way to do it. But Aidan Coleman was saying, look, maybe he'll improve from this race and we'll see what he does in the long walk. And I would love to see him come back, but I think you either stick with what you have or don't I think changing now would be a bit of a dilemma. I saw Ricky getting into it on social media. Given Harry skeleton, the what for? For example, on getting slammed by bulky Lee. And a number of trolls, you know who you are. And a number of others. I have to say that he was very confident about chambal without surname. And he I think at the time, you could get 5 to two, because I think at the time he was 5. And that was Friday. He's ended up going off two to one favorite for the race. And that in itself tells its own story because I would like to deal with will obviously give fusion ruthless full price. But I want to deal with the puzzle that is surname. So he's drifted in the bedding it's not the first time we've seen this, he drifted like a barge when he took on LTR and slammed them. He won this race last year when being vindication horse we've already talked about, but he's now been pulled up, pulled up, had wind surgery, offered 252 days, comes back for this. Pulled up. And while he was very bold and prominent early on, he has folded like a cheap texture. How worried would.
