"With the Cajun cannon Bobby a bear with talking about the lines on the saints games thus far Debbie Debbie L. Bruner gumbo opinion poll do you want sports gambling in Louisiana you give us a call five a four to six so one eight seventy or Texas a five a four to six so one eight seventy seems to be inevitable every single time it comes to the legislature in Louisiana Bobby seems to get less and less opposition I think it's just a matter of time now it's certainly everybody said if you don't do it now you're just going to sit there and watch Mississippi make all the money as all Louisiana travels across the border to to go and do their bedding and certainly in a situation like corona virus with the massive amounts of revenue that have been depleted from the state in terms of their gambling in the ability to go and do that over the last couple of months you this seems like a pretty opportune time for another revenue stream for the state yeah without a doubt it's all about the lobbyists to and then how much stroke and how much you have in the legislature your legislators I'm looking at a light the video poker poker lobby lobby sent out with the video poker they're very strong and this takes away from their revenue so I mean it is just listen there is going to get done it's not gonna make an unbelievable difference were bought out why did we wait so long but it's gonna be something positive anything positive where all of a sudden you can help out the taxpayer Louisiana goes a long way I thank you for lines and then I brought this up at the break which used to show his significance of the St when they put play a Los Vegas on Monday night September twenty first it marked sixty years since the first Monday night game there could be some of the cast on ABC and ESPN so here's fifty years of Monday Night Football I know we all know that you know we'll be celebrating fifty years the saints football so fifty years Monday Night Football and then I felt things that much of the same damn against the raiders and before going to the line does that come look at the Packers and if you look at don't you remember this game you probably you probably played in this the last time the clubs met in New Orleans it was primetime Sunday night football October twenty sixth two thousand fourteen that was asked with that we'd be the Packers forty four to twenty three worries is almost perfect twenty seven of thirty two eighty four and a half percent three hundred eleven yards three touchdowns a quarterback rating of one hundred thirty eight and a half well I can see what we watched the Packers forty four twenty two you remember that game it was sure I do two thousand and twenty six that was dominated the Packers got humbled there yeah that I remember they were pretty banged up at that point to defensively not so much offense we Mike Daniels was injured in that game I think clay Matthews plane but he was not right but you know listen any given you you put you put your breeze on prime time and if you go back and look at history's probably gonna have a big game right just kind of how it's always been on those nights in and yes certainly listen I I was just you know five and a half points being favored you know I thought was was a fairly substantial number again that's going to change most likely before that game pops up let's go to the phone lines we've got James in Mary Jane's welcomes for stock it does take a local man listen I'm I'm mobile where we'll see you then and I'm I'm open but he's right but I'll keep looking until players others want to know what I'm going to look at the last time we played them back in two thousand that meaning the pitches when they had grown to twenty seventeen and will grow only he was he was gonna blackberry doubles as a bonus for this year was not yes he did burn Alex Anzalone on that the ball I'm down the silence it was right in front of us and never forget this is probably I want to say thirty forty yard throw in that would dismantle managing as a lonely fell down or something Gronk when it can be installed but but hopefully Avalonia media more experience now I think I was alone again hang over here in California right now if he's healthy he has gotta be healthy and how we gonna stop Gronk I mean all I mean when I when I look at this language Jerry cook I mean how you finish the season what do you know of the plan you could go look a group policy of all you have to look at whether right now it has a reporter with dot com raised I'm not gonna take that away no they have one acres last year Tom Tom Brady's gonna have weapons also just think that things are better team so there also and dissolution areas already a station one at some stages so the little one a lot some thirty two personnel that will be three tight ends and they'll probably L. I think you could live around they'll probably have the best retirement package in league you know you got to get back to tell you this game another advocated three tight end you better be able to stop the run and they going three targeted you got a billion there you got a beast out in the trenches low man wins and all that because.

E. you know cove it has also I had some issues you know families you know T. as far as difficulties that arise from that expression you know with custody so if you had to cope with you know related questions are we we're you know we'd like to address that because you know SBA the P. Better Communication Through Letters

"Debbie Ronca is President of Sequoia coaching a Certified Life Coach. Speaker and disc profile trainer with John Maxwell team she is also the author of the family letter how to intentionally develop a culture of honor encouragement and value with your loved ones a bestseller in nine relationship in Harrington Categories Ronco wants start a global movement. So other families also benefit on the family wetter. We're going to talk about this today with Debbie. Debbie welcome to the show. Thank you so much for coming on. You are locked them. And thank you for having me of course so debbie for a lot of our listeners. That might not know what a family letter is. Could you go ahead and tell them what the impact of a family letter is and really what they could get out of it? That's a great question. Read on the family letter was basically something that we started as a tradition in our family years ago when our kids were growing up we had the intention of teaching them how to use their words To be encouraged others to be able to use the words to bless another person. And you know. Sometimes it's really hard for kids especially to verbalize. They feel a little embarrassed or uncomfortable. So we've found that using a letter was the safe way to go. That's great So I myself actually have done something like a family letter before in my family. It's not quite what you do But it really helped teach me how to express myself to my family in a healthy way and really be able to communicate and open wider doors. Is that the same hope that you are looking for with your letter. Absolutely the whole intent really is to let the other person know why their loved valued in celebrated and when you hear that from other family members it really just builds wonderful foundation of trust and connection and a bond and read what we did specifically is. We made it a tradition on our birthdays. We thought why not birthdays the day. Everyone is celebrated right so why not let that be the day that we received this letter and so we taught our children from the time they were young and of course we made the what the intent that had to be in the letter? Simple so they could do it and you know when I speak at women's events I always tell the moms don't worry about the grammar. Don't worry about the punctuation year teaching them how you used the words and you don't ever want to make them feel it has to be perfect because it's coming from their heart and of course as our family grew and I say read. We've been doing this now for over thirty years and after thirty years our children thirty eight thirty seven and thirty five. They still want their letters. I mean it is a big tradition in our house. Love that I love that. That's fantastic. Could you dive a little deeper into the content of these family letters absolutely well like in the beginning we make it really simple for the kids because we want them to right so it really? You need to not just tell the person you love them but why because when you specifically say why it goes deeper you know. It's just not the Cliche I love you but when you hear why and then you want to celebrate their gifts and talents you wanNA recognize Any celebrations in their life and of course as we got older we expanded that. So Ah Chris. Reflecting on the past year of this person's life were on their birthday. And you know everybody walks through a dark time trial a difficulty and we write about that in the letter like Geez. Jonathan I remember when you were going through that difficult relationship and the way that you handle bit really made us proud of you. You showed a lot of kindness and compassion and so we actually recognize encourage. The person helping walk through difficult times as well. That's really nice to hear. I think a struggle that a lot of families go through not just with something like this but milestones for any of their children is. When do we start you know? When do we put him on a bike? When do we teach them how to do this? When would you say is a good time to get your children to start being engaged in this? When we started the letter read. Our children were five and seven while and then we had an remind you that the letters were short but they were learning how to communicate and we had our third child when he turned five. We would always do this moment of re writing letters and reading the letters at our dining room table so he grew up here in his father received letters his mother his brother and sister so when he turned five he said. I WANNA DO LETTERS. I want in and so he actually turned from the Observer to the writer so he started as early as five and I believe the power in at read is the consistency like we chose birthdays. And so we know every birthday we're gonNA gather and have letters and of course being a mother and a father. We've added the mother and father's day letter in there too. Oh of course you have to make sure that you've got a little extra recognition for all the hard work you do for raising your children It's the best gift. Jerry Seib really love those letters absolutely so I think like anybody else. Not all of our lives are rainbows and lollipops. Right kind of goes through a hard time and sometimes that hard time is reflected onto our family. How can the letter be used as a catalyst for accomplishing forgiveness? Or even reconciling some things in the past one of the best ways that I think he can open up. The line of Communications is through the power of a letter. I would think that you would agree with me read. Don't you feel that when a relationship is broken? One of the most difficult things is to be able to come back and talk face to face because there's so much hurt and there's so much wounding and you still wind up fighting and you don't reconcile but I feel when you can write in a letter. What you like about that person. What you love about that person that you've missed the relationship that you're sorry that they disagreed you know. Can we start again? I believe you can maybe crack a door open. That has been slammed shut for years and that could be the beginning of the communication. Because it's a safe place to see if you can open that door again and we have a great story with our children. They were seven and five at the time at that time. We were doing Christmas letters as well. And you know how children are they. Can they argue? They fight and they wrote their letters and nobody knows what's written in the letter to you. Read it and my daughter wrote a letter to her brother saying that she was so sorry that he was mean to her and he she wished that he could be a nicer brother and my son and in his letter to his sister wrote. I know I haven't been a great brother and I know I've been hard on you. I'm really sorry. When they both read their letters. They looked at each other and they ran over and they hugged each other and Oracle. The letter gave the voice to the prop room. And so I know children can do that. I really believe adults can do that. And you know in this crisis time read. I'm really thinking hearts are being tender is D- A lot of people are klaren teen. A lot of people are thinking about really what is important in life now. This may be a great time to write that letter to that broken relationship and try to restore it absolutely. I think as many people would agree with me. A family is very important especially during these times. That's really who you're GONNA hold dear. You have close. I know I personally have been talking to my mother way more than I have before during this little walk down. I'm sure this letter can go even further pass. Your family can not absolutely you know. I believe everybody in life should receive a letter from someone so I really think if you sat down and thought about it you may have that teacher that mentor that business partner that neighbor that Fran and somebody who's impacted your life that you could just take time and write them a letter to let them know how they impacted your life. It would mean the world to them

Gone From Home: The Disappearance of Susan Mcfarland

"So huck and and Mary. Elizabeth Smith had three children. There were fifteen thirteen and eleven and then their youngest daughter Susan was born. She was born on New Year's Steve in nineteen fifty eight now because she was born when her mom was forty and a data's forty eight. And there's like eleven years between the third and the fourth worth child. Susan was often tease. She was an accident now. Her response was I was a bonus huck was an FBI agent. And he had received a letter of congratulations for the birth of his daughter. Susan that was signed by the FBI Director J Edgar Hoover as an adult. Susan kept him framed glitter on a wall in her home yes. She grew up in Missouri where her older sister. Anne was responsible for baby sitting her quite a bit but as you got older her and decided it was fun to hang out with her baby sister. She was an easy going child and very affectionate with their family so an sometimes took sue along with her or even under dates. And it wasn't a problem you know at least not for. I don't know maybe the guys didn't like it but her thinking maybe one time time okay. Circumstance are less date well. After an moved away for college she frequently had sue. Come visit her on the weekends. The other students at our school loved sue. She was like everyone's little sister. susie big brother Harley had a daughter named Kristen when Assu was just five years old and when Kristen stayed with her grandparents they paid sued to keep her busy but as they got older the age difference really diminished and soon became good friends with her niece. Kristen Sumit her best friend when she was thirteen years old sandy row. Sandy and sewer inseparable spending spending time hanging out at a local bakery and attending high school classes together. Su worked as a lifeguard at a hotel. Swimming Pool in the Summers and Sandy would sit by the pool with earn play cards when the pool was busy so sue was just an upbeat energetic type of person she was always busy doing something finer bonner. Planning something fun. One thing the girls left to do was to shop. They could shop for hours and not even spend much money they also like go to the movies. Sue Play tennis but Sandy never got good at sport. Even though she tried sue was a really busy kit. She ice skated. She was a hockey cheerleader. And she also served on the student council the PEP club and the French club. She was also a really big reader sometimes sometimes reading one or two novels a week even during the school year but suicide human half draw and certainly far from perfect especially as a teen. She could be rebellious. She sometimes with skipped class or went home for lunch and just didn't bother returning to school after lunch but she got away with a lot. She was talented at making elaborate excuses. That are teachers and parents usually believed so sue and sandy graduated high school together in nineteen eighteen. Seventy seven sue then went to a private girls' college in Fulton Missouri. Sandy stayed in Saint Louis and went to Washington University so they are less. Listen two hours apart. So they're able to visit each other pretty often. Yeah but when sue announce she was majoring in accounting. Her friends were pretty surprised. She seemed to fund fund to be a serious number crunching office person but sue really enjoyed accounting. She was fun and adventurous but she also was very disciplined organized also. She really admired her dad. who had an accounting degree? So after graduating in the top of her class suit took a position with Santa the energy in Amarillo Texas while she was working there she got her. CPA and the next summer. She traveled to Saint Louis to be Sandy's maid definer Sandy's marriage would last only four years but soon would always be there to listen to her and give her advice then ensued took a second job after working for a while with Santa Fe energy. She moved to Midland Texas and had a position with N run run. Yes the notorious company but at the time it was well respected. It was a good company. This is before they had their slippery slide. Yes now after six months of working with Enron. She is transferred to their headquarters in Houston and in Houston. Sue spent a lot of time with her former sister-in-law. Debbie Debbie had had been married and divorced. Sue's older brother Pete. Souza would go to her nephew soccer games and she had shopped the Debbie on the weekends she left to shop for clothing and and she dressed nicely so she set up an exchange with your friends and Murillo so that they ought quadruple their wardrobes by sharing so in nineteen eighty seven. Sue took took a position with southwestern Bell Corporation in Saint Louis her position and the people she worked among their lead her into a more glamorous life if she started attending charity Events Dinner Parties and Gallery openings and she was happy to be back living near her friend Sandy. They began spending more and more time together having lunch taking aerobics classes which was a big thing at the time she was also reunited with her niece Kristin during this time they were only a few years apart and became good friends so they went out on the weekend nights and sue was happy to pay kristen's way because Sumeida good it. Salary and Kristen was still struggling but a suge close to thirty. She began to worry about finding a partner and having a family. She told a French French. She wanted to have kits and she'd like to stay home and raise them while loving husband would work to support them and they live in a nice suburban house and and then she met Rick Mcfarland and he seemed to fit the bill of the Kinda guy she wanted at least to begin with. Yeah so rick was the second son of Dick and and Mona McFarland of Kirkwood Missouri. When he is a young kid the family moved to Saint? Louis he grew up in webster groves with his two brothers. David David and done in high school. He is a big water polo player and he worked on the staff of the school newspaper. He went to southwest South West Missouri State University in Springfield after high school but had difficulty concentrating so while he was here his diagnosed with attention deficit disorder and put on medication. And with the mets he was able to maintain a B average so he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration nation and got a job with stockbrokerage company. Shearson Lehman. I did pretty well. There drove a beamer. Had a carriage Charles lived in an upscale port town right so from just hearing that you'd say Oh this is a pretty great guy. Why would you because he's got a BMW BMW? Well it seems like a good prospect. He's got a job right. He's having heard anything. Says he's a jerk right. That's what I'm saying but you know like everybody else. He did have issues but he was pretty good at hiding them for most people. He did get in trouble one time in college for stealing but the charges were dismissed. One of his former dates said that rick made her very uncomfortable after they had two dates his because she told him she didn't want to see him anymore but he persisted calling her to the point where she was afraid of him and then she caught him hiding in the bushes outside of her house stalking getting her concern. Yes but of course. Sued doesn't know about any of this right and sue and Rick had actually attended the same high school all but they didn't really meet each other until they bumped into each other at a party in Saint Louis. Rick was much quieter than Su so they seemed like kind of unlikely unlikely couple when they began dating but to sue she felt like she hit it off with him again. Not not to demean sue. But we've already talked about how she's hitting thirty and she's thinking like time is running out so maybe she settled for something not quite the top of her list list. Yeah that's what a lot of people close to her. Actually thought bird. No he review would do in a pinch enough. I'd go that far but I guess she didn't seem like she was head over heels like he was you know her prince charming but thought he would do you would do when he seemed like a nice stable guy but he wasn't nearly as clever or witty. Assu you know sue was really fun but you know. Rick seemed like he could be a good match for her. She could be the outgoing one and he could keep her grounded but still sandy and kristen thought that sue probably was settling a bit with Rick just because she wanted to start a family and she was getting being older

The FBI said this evening that it had identified seven suspicious packages addressed you prominent liberal and democratic political figures over the past previous or the previous three days that contained potentially destructive devices. The bureau initially said it had recovered five that were similar in appearance. And bore the return address of an office. For Representative Debbie, Debbie Wasserman Schultz. The packages were addressed do billionaire George Soros, Hillary Clinton, former President, Barack Obama former CIA director John Brennan. In care of CNN and former attorney general Eric Holder. The FBI also said it was possible that additional packages are mailed to other locations. Director Christopher Wray said this investigation is of the highest priority for the FBI. We'd have committed the full strength of the FBI's resources and together with our partners and our joint terrorism task force. We will continue to work to identify and arrest, whoever is responsible for sending these packages. We ask anyone who may have information to contact the FBI do not hesitate to call. No piece of information is too small to help us in this investigation. Law enforcement officials involved in the investigation. This is absolutely nuts. And everybody and their brother is, of course, condemning whoever is whoever sent these packages. The person that's short a few pins of a strike is obviously behind this kinda thing. Nobody wants to see this. I I like what Marco Rubio had to say about this Susan.
