"The eagles nest owned by a raymond bear zoo. I think you pronounce his last name. Bear zouk let me tell you something man. We in an era of reveal the age of transparency is is all around us. Sides have been chosen lines have been drawn and people are who they are proudly are who they are. Okay if you have not gotten to the point of being comfortable with who and what you are. I would simply ask you. What are you waiting for. Okay please come join the party. Live your truth and nobody can use your truth against you even know they absolutely will okay on social media. But you'll be fine because the truth doesn't hurt unless it ought to right and the truth about the eagles nest in wyoming is that they're homophobic and that's the truth that should hurt them probably won't because the people who attended establishment probably are extremely homophobic. Too now remember. I said we are in the age of transparency. We are in age of reveal. The universe is forcing everyone to be that true selves be who they are. Some of us are doing the work on ourselves practicing various forms of mindfulness exercises. Going to therapy meditating submitting to our higher nature to be the best version of ourselves matter of fact for those folks like me on that journey. Let's repeat this mantra from my sister. Debbie brown actually posted this on instagram. This morning repeat after me. I love who i've been. I love who i am. I love who. I am becoming okay. That was for those of us doing the work trying to be the best version of ourselves. That wasn't for raymond barre zouk in the eagles nest in wyoming because they are being true to who they are but they aren't being the best president br best versions of themselves and they shouldn't love who they are in this current moment. Okay i know we tell people not to be hard on themselves. But that don't mean we can't be hard on them. All right in the nethon wyoming need someone to be hard on them because those individuals over there are hurting other people see. They are selling shirts in. These shirts are them being honest about how they feel. And i guess is good when people are openly bigoted. Because then you know we're not to go and who not to support in the eagles nothing wyoming is making it quite plain where they stand. Let's go to the hill for the report. Police motorcycle bar has reportedly decided to stop the sale of a shirt. It carried that bragged about shooting members of the lgbt community and included use of a homophobic slur according to the cowboy state daily. A photo of the shirts sold at the eagle's nest located in cheyenne wyoming when viral on social media over the weekend the shirt featured an image of a man pointing a gun. Along with the words quote in wyoming. We have a cure for aids. We shoot effing f words. What i think the question should be. Why okay i understand the what but why why is so much we all have to do in our lives. It's also much healing. We need as individuals. I got too many things after. Forgive myself for too many things. I want god to forgive me for to be concerned about what anyone else is doing. Especially to this extreme. I'm going to encourage folks to shoot people via apparel because of who they are sexually attracted to not so fun. Fact in fact is not even not so. It's nothing fun. I remotely fun about this fact. The eagles nest in wyoming is an hour from where a gay college student named matthew. Shepard died after being brutally beaten in nineteen ninety eight rest in peace. Dad brother sending healing energy. It is family always nineteen ninety eight. There was this level of homophobia in this area. And it's now twenty twenty one and the same energy that got matthew. Shepard killed is now on a devil. Damn t shirt being sold in the eagles nest in wyoming. Hey this is america. The land of free speech. I keep telling you. That's one of the biggest. American lives ever told speech. Ain't free bra. I mean you may have the freedom to say what you want to say with. There will be a price to it at some point. Sometimes you pay that price. Sometimes somebody else pays the price because of your so called free speech. Let me explain. Eagles nest have these t shirts. They are encouraging folks to shoot gay people if someone sees shirt and is encouraged to go out and shoot a gay person. Guess what the person who gets shot. Pays the price for your so-called free speech and hopefully the person who does the shooting go the prison that person to his paid the price for your free speech. Freedom of speech is not free. There's a cost to everything that comes out of your mouth and someone will pay the price and in this situation. Why why. I really don't understand his level of hate okay. You don't agree with the lifestyle fine but to wanna see someone shot because of who they wanna sleep with like. I don't understand i i. Don't i don't understand homophobia the same way. I don't understand any other forms of prejudice. You wanna kill someone because of who they choose to sleep. You are selling t shirts encouraging folks to shoot people just because of their sexuality who a person sleep sleep with. Doesn't make you jackie. So why do you care. We really have to start asking homophobic people. What's the real issue. Why do you care about where that man is. Putting these pena's why are you constantly thinking about where that man is putting these penis. Why are you constantly speculating about where that man is. Putting his pain is. Why do you care if someone got two daddies. Why do you care if a man is in touch with their feminine side. Why you care if a man wears lace underwear. Why do you care. If a man likes his prostate tickled listen. All you homophobic people you know was gay. Caring that someone else's gay okay. I got a theory that homophobic men think about men having sex with other men more than gay men think about having sex with other men. Why do i think that. Because i damn show here. Homophobic men talk about who other men may be sleeping with. More than i hear gaming. Talk about who they sleep. With the eagles nest in wyoming. You should be embarrassed. Okay please let remark give the owner. Raymond bear zouk two biggest. He he he. You stupid dumb. It's never this serious. My goodness just simply not all right all right. Well thank you for that donkey of the day. All when we come back. We got the positive. No.

And i know we hear the term like a pivot in my career. I'm going to pivot in my life. But i really love how she brought it down to earth and also into like the inner work that happens as you pivot and how we take care of ourselves through a pivot like physical pivot and a career or even in her case you know in relationships things like that but yeah we talk about just leaving. Not dream job in pursuing. You know something that she really always wanted to do. That has Been connected to her personal growth and spirituality and we also talk about just being super mindful about consumption which was so interesting. We talk about it a lot and just to have it reflected in her like routine on the daily. He's like very very strict with herself. And it just allows her more space actually here. Her own thoughts yeah. That's like my obsession. Yo literally being mindful of media consumption is my obsession. I was just doing lindsey miley cyrus. This twitter banner. It's like covered in skull crossbones cobwebs flying demonic angels. I'm just like what's going on here. So just what are we looking at. Why are we looking at. What are we listening to me listening to it. How is making us feel something that we talk about a lot and then i really felt like this was the part that i really needed to hear which was really powerful was talking about finding joy in the healing journey. And you know some of us can be so caught up. And i'm saying this as one of you in doing the work in doing the self help in doing the spiritual you know To do list. That you know are as healed as pop. Almost just like he's perfect little specimens they're doing just all the most beautiful thoughtful things with them. Because i think there's a difference between having kids and being afraid that you're going to maybe make the same mistakes as your parents did or something like that. Oh yeah and then the other side of that could be knowing what you experienced as a child and knowing what felt really good. And maybe what didn't feel really good and then trusting yourself trusting your intuition as you raise your kids to to be what you needed as well for them so yet. Debbie was goals. When you say she allowed her her son to really be in his feelings on allow him to feel what he was feeling and then checking in like the next moment. Just being like okay. How are we feeling now. We all have favorite thanksgiving memories. Tommy we will start with you. Some of your favorite. Thanks giving memories. Yes oh my favorite thanksgiving i mean. This is my favorite thanksgiving memories out. You know they. It's my father. He you know he was that guy. Just tell you. Some is very difficult to When it's time to have dinner and of course you circle up. And you're getting ready to pray. And that was my dad stain. You know he was that guy. And i oh my god and to try to step in and fill. Those shoes is so difficult for me. Every single thanksgiving. I'm like i can't. I can barely get through the prayer. Because i keep thinking about his him because he used to do it effortlessly and just just do it. And now it's like you know. I'll be thinking about the night before. Gotta gotta do you know. Now you know my mom will be right next to just speak from your heart you can handle and i do it but you know my pops is always on my mind. So yeah. that's my good point. Tommy you know. I think the holidays. It's difficult for a lot of people. It's a lonely time of the year. And i think the pandemic being that you know some people can't even go home for the holidays has made it even worse. You know the ones elderly parents Yeah it dealing with this. So i think we need to just remind everybody self care to take care of themselves and and grateful it thanksgiving. I know we don't need the fourth thursday in the month of november of this year to remind ourselves. Yes it'd be grateful for. Every every day is a gift especially this year this has been a challenging year or sure half for sure and just yeah so when you said that. Tommy i thought about you know. There's so many of us who lost their parents. There's so many people out there lost loved ones recently this year and last year. That family member was with them. Given you know what. I always talk about. I always talk about when you look around. Who's in the circle wasn't in a circle. You know who serve that was hip previously. Got you you just. You can't take it for granted. You know what i mean. I encourage people when we won't be altogether this year. But i always encourage people to you know. Stop mingling with the same people in the family doing during thanksgiving dinner. Move around so you can so you can. You don't mix it up with other family members. I and it's necessary. You must be talking to families. That's real nice and like each other top. That's why not science shows the my family you don't ask don't mean staying you'll group and look across to him. You know i'm not going not your family. You know mary you know you gotta you gotta get your wife's family to to me okay. I got that going on. You want everybody interact with your own issue. Do you know what. I'm gonna miss this year. Talks. i'm not going home for the holidays for thanksgiving. But what i'm gonna miss this year though. The best thing about going home is going to my grandmother's house man to be able to do that and still have your grandmother and all her brothers steal living and i love this. It is and it's just sitting around in the yard. We will and we will sit out in the yard and watch other people. Pull up that you haven't seen in medicine. Good time. i enjoyed it. That's my favorite part. It's nothing it's nothing like it. Thank you want the cygnus the created. Yes maybe take it credit. I love it. Well you know my favorite just like you brought up your dad. I mean My mom of course you know. She reminds me of your prank phone calls. She was the one responsible for bringing the dressing. Everybody was waiting for helen's addressing every believable. Who wrong on the grown people were grown. men would get up. Put a chair beside her and asked for her recipe. Talk but anyway. Yeah i that my mom's dressing coming up at twenty minutes after the hour. "I'll do what you're doing because I wanted to be able to sit next to her. There was only three people in the trombone section Shannon. Bill crutcher and me. And I said the first day I. Sat next to Bill said, Bill what what are you playing? 'cause I all I could hear was. and. He goes I just play letter F- The whole time. Okay. So Shannon was the only one that really play but I did learn how to play Tequila. What's that? By Donna but I and I yeah, I learned how to play. That is really fun on the trombone because you can. You do this big slide, burn it, and then I could never reach the the last position. Yeah seventh position because I was too short, my arms didn't extend. Janet you wouldn't you wouldn't use a calculator for the year. I was in a band playing trombone for few months of my life very poorly by the way very poorly playing the trombone I'm speechless. Where are we know God i? Don't know if anyone even listening anymore. Well, listen I'll tell you where we are Chad. Light has gotten level three security clearance don't get excited. Well, we'll because Angela. To say the words I'm sorry she will not apologize she keeps saying. Our official position is one of apology like she's like will not just say we are so sorry. I love it. When like Kelly is just patiently trying to coach her to say like just to make conversation and she's like, where are you from Ohio? That's nice. Just. Does not want to be talking to these people now now, and also by the way in the meantime, creed has found out that Debbie Brown. Did Not show up to work last week. "Never too much for a community are never too much for for for the people in the family that you love now. Anybody who listens to the breakfast club for years knows I am a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. I can't wait to watch us play the Rams this Sunday night. But if you listen to the breakfast club are my brilliant ideas podcast And you also know I've talked about my struggles with Anxiety and depression. In fact, I wrote a whole book about it called shook one anxiety playing tricks on me. That book is actually more of a journal that I was keeping while going to therapy, and I share a lot of my lifelong struggles. That's not a book club, by the way, is just letting you know that I've dealt with anxiety and depression so long and I had to document it. Okay. I go to therapy once a week. Usually third there Friday. That three I have a sacred purpose. Coach a salute out there. Walk around my yard. Barefoot. I hug trees. I do breathing exercises. I got to come after I got Stevie Dee. Okay, I got Jim's the stones. I charge my crystals by the full moon right through my sister, Debbie Brown and Karma Bliss. The moral of the story is I do whatever I got to do. Stay mentally healthy out here, period. Okay. I totally understand how Dad feels. I had two friends commit suicide in June weeks apart. Rest in peace to Jasmine waters. Rest in peace, My man, she killed Cardi from Angola, and it didn't hit me until August, Okay? And when I said I had to Doc ass weeks in August. Lord have mercy If I hadn't been doing the work on myself all these years, you know what that was and why it was and more importantly, how to deal with it. No telling That would have turned out. So when I say I always stand Dak Prescott says he he was going through. I totally over stand what that brother was going through. Okay, but one person who didn't have any sympathy for what was going through and didn't over stand. I seem to understand what Dad was going to was Fox Sports to skip Bayless. Okay, had this to say and regard the Dak Prescott revealing his struggles with his mental health. Let's listen. I'm going to ask our audience to feel free to go ahead and condemn me. If you choose as cold blooded and insensitive on this issue, I have deep compassion or clinical depression. But when it comes to the quarterback of an NFL team, it's the ultimate leadership position in sports, and I write about that. You're commanding an entire franchise. What's the roster announced? 53 still 53. But I think they've got like 15 guys, but but you're commanding a lot of young men. In some older men. And they're all looking to you to be their CEO to be in charge of the football team. Because of all that I don't have sympathy for him going public with. I got depressed. I suffered depression early in Cove it to the point that I couldn't even go work out. Skip Bayless, Let me be the first to tell you shut the f up forever. Do you know that yesterday was national suicide prevention day? Literally yesterday? Okay. Shanti does pose that, you know. Ah, it was literally was yesterday. National Suicide Prevention day when you made those comments It was on national suicide prevention. Do you see how the universe works? The universe wants us to have this discussion. Okay, People like you skip you cause folks who may be dealing with depression and anxiety. He killed himself. Seriously. Rhetoric like that causes people killed himself. See the reason I talk about my mental health struggles. The way I do is because one speaking about it in the form of therapy for me and helped me feel better about myself into. I want other people, especially black. People like me to know that they're not alone. So when someone like that Prescott who millions of kids look up to because he's the black Starting quarterback for the greatest football franchise of all time. The Dallas Cowboys. Nobody can dispute that during the topic elected when that brother decided to be vulnerable and let everyone know what he's going through that gives the rest of the village script. It might make someone on the ledge day 00. Jack deals with anxiety. Oh, Dak deals with depression. Oh, and you want to go get treatment for it? Oh, he went to a therapist. Maybe I should do that, too. But then here comes folks like skipped bail is with the lame ass age old. Ah, take that Having mental health issues is a sign of weakness. By the way. That's one of those old patriarchal way that thinking that have to be deconstructed like men are taught to apologize for their weakness and women are taught to apologize for their script. Okay, F all that all right. When I feel like crying, I'm going to cry and tears were not signs of weakness. Tears assigned that you've been strong too long, and maybe it's time to talk to somebody when Dak Prescott says, because he put out a statement on the Dallas Cowboys website, he responded to what gives said he said being a leader. Is that Prescott? I love these words, he said. Being a leader is about being genuine and being really If I wouldn't have talked about those things to the people I did. I wouldn't have realized my friends and a lot more people go throw them. He also says I don't care how big a person you are. If you are not mentally healthy, and you are not thinking the right way, then you are not going to be able to lead people to write. Wait, dropping a close bond for Dak Prescott. Every single word. He said. It was true. Okay, Jack, my brother. No true awards have ever been spoken. You are a true leader. You know why you're a true leader, because great leaders don't tell you what they do. They show you how it's done. And that's what you were doing right now. By sharing your anxiety and depression with the world. Two things I want you to take from this donkey today. Okay? Number one. This is a prime example of why you have to be careful who you share your weaknesses with because some people can't wait for the opportunity to use them against you. Okay? And number two. The only way we will eradicate the stigma around mental health in the black community is the share our stories. We have to share our weaknesses and our difficulties because that Khun B. More nourishing toe. Others in sharing our qualities and successes. Please let remark give Skip Bayliss the biggest hee Hee Ha Hee! Ah, you stupid mother! Are you dumb? All right on disrespect my quarterback. Okay. Salute the carriage. So uncharitable actually got me a football autographed by Dak Prescott. Not just that Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott and a bunch of other Dallas Cowboys you having had a couple of years ago, But this isn't about the Cowboys. This's about team mental health, right? That away from me is about about team into help. It is always about the cowboy that it's about team into health as well. And I just encourage everybody to do what you have to do to stay mentally healthy. And don't let anybody tell you that you're weak because you are sharing your difficulties in your.

Why they've behaved the ways that they always have believed the things they lead win some of those belief systems come from Are they antithetical to what we claim to believe that you know that that can Austin happen when people are concerned notice idea that Like you said earlier like love thy neighbor, it's like we'll do I take care of my neighbors take care of my community. Do I just stand up for other people's children there such thing as other people's children you know. "The next day, we kicked off with presentations, talks discussions, whatever you wanna call it by phenomena, women. I one was Debbie Brown. She's the founder of bliss believe that is her company, and she actually never really knew about Debbie Brown before this retreat. And so it was really cool to get to know her. I mean I at seen that she was a speaker and the speaker announcements she her. Herself did a career change. She used to be a radio personality. And now she describes herself as being a communicator on a mission to connect people with the world's inside and outside of themselves. I think that's really, really important because the reason that I've been able to this kind of this guiding light inside of me that his been helping me, you know, that, that is God. But that's also I think we're all given inner thoughts in our feelings that are all part of our alternate purpose on this earth, and whatever that is. But it's really hard to figure it out. It's very murky, sometimes you don't know if something that's on your heart is necessary to do or it's just like a, a wish that's fleeting passing by that. You should just ignore. And so I like the work that Debbie is doing because I think it's really really important. So I wrote down some of the colts from her session. That's out to me. I'll read them to you, because I think they're so important. She said by. Simply being yourself. You give others permission to do the same so-so true. I think the more of myself I am the more share my journey. The more people come up to me, and they're like, you know, you've inspired me to do this. I see my friends popping up with side hustles. I'm like I don't even know you were working on that. You like doing, like, so it's just crazy and I'm going to continue to do that, because that truly truly do believe that it gives others permission to do the same. She also said purpose cannot be found in a weekend of vision, boarding purposes, not being paid or famous purpose is using your unique abilities to be of service to people. Let me say that again purpose is using your unique abilities to be of service to people. And she also said, if you find yourself feeling on fulfilled. You're not standing in alignment with the full realization of your purpose. And this is starting to sound very Oprah right? But it's deep all is deep. The reason why we go. Through so much on satisfaction in life is when we are in misalignment with what we're supposed to be doing a firmly believe that the tricky and hard part is that it is so hard to figure out what you supposed to be doing and then and then you could be doing it, but they're mundane parts of everything. Right. So let's say you're standing in alignment with your purpose. You're doing what you've been called to do meant to do, but, you know, one day you're just having a day where you're bored with it all, then you start to worry like, am I really am? I really doing what I meant to be doing. So all these are questions that is important to ask yourself challenger, self and reconnect center ourselves so that we can get the answers to that. Because I it's difficult. There's, there's so many distractions you can start questioning yourself and I believe that's also why people start and stop so many things halfway where they don't see things through because they don't censor themselves. And so right in the middle when they're about to really make some progress there like this not work. You let me stop. Some other hustle, so pay attention to that. And finally, the last thing I started that she said is purposes, not limited to what you do for a living. It's how you apply your gifts.
