"What Bill O'Brien's doing. Okay. I could see that. Yeah. Overreaction. Sorry Bill went to the playoffs. This year. You trade away DeAndre Hopkins and you were bound and determined to get David Johnson involved in that offense. And they did. And they still got their break. Speed off. Now you have Baltimore, which I just talked about in Pittsburgh, which I just talked about because you've made that type of a trade that caused that type of attention to your team. Sean Watson's expectations have changed after he signed the extension. You are looking at a situation that if you don't find a win in the first four games of the season, and even if you end up in one and four, you're looking at a situation you might not be able to get out because the media Questions, the fans, the family, those questions being asked over and over and over again. Your offensive like you traded for Lammy Tons of with your offensive line still isn't good. He's getting hammered back there. He doesn't have anybody to throw to That's gonna permeate. This is the type of thing this type of start. You have a rough start. This is the type of thing that could make a season unravel. Not the bill of Ryan's in any danger at all. He seemed to grow more powerful Europe to Europe here, I think probably owned the Texans. By the time 2023 comes around, you're gonna need to Shawn Watson. You're paying him all this money. You're gonna need him to bail you out. This is a bail out now. I think this is almost reckless by what Bill O'Brien did because you want to protect your quarterback. You want to accentuate its positives, not just rip it all off. I don't think he had to do this type of thing. And he did it so far. Don't look very good. This is this is an under reaction. This team has a very tough schedule. I mean, you look at the first six games for seven games. I already played. Kansas City got boat race. Ravens Steelers Vikings Jags. Okay, Titans, Mike Gravel will grind your asked dust in every game and then the Packers. Then use your looking at a hellish first half of the season. If you're the Texans who employ next Go to the Eagles candidate.

"A complete team what a quarterback who has never got an MVP. Devote. Again Russell Wilson. Has Never gotten an in Vp vote but we saw Sunday. How good is as we? As we've been seeing for majority of his career at this point if I ever put my finger on a right now and you asked me the NFC team that was the most impressive that has a guy that you feel confident with enough that can win the super bowl is the Seattle seahawks and what they did on defense with Jamal Adams really took it over to bowl. I got him going to Tampa in February jig Stephen. Final thought you see what I'm saying? See what I'm saying see what I'm saying see how old he sounds and his delivery his presentation when it comes to the CEO's, we didn't hear that what he was talking about the Catholic we saw passed this. Well, you know he's just trying to set me up but nice. Hey. Biz Your argument was very profound. Let me say you was absolutely right and your argue was very profound about the Seattle until one thing why are you bringing up? Josh Corden, come on we don't want to be cruel. We wish him nothing but the best but calm they don't. You just don't. You Know How many? Lipid say if we got Josh Gordon Stop we just gotTa. We wish him nothing. We hope that he comes back but you can't depend on him. You can't do that. I am. But I said but but was the requisite word in that whole twice. "Depression, where in it's very hard to turn down nine figures. So I totally understand that, but I mean Hello, Brian. The fact of the matter is It is not done a greatjob surrounding Watson with talent and DeAndre. Hopkins has a huge game in Arizona, just too poor for their salt on the wound, and I've always said about the Hopkins trade is If the Texans you know, he had three years left on his deal. He wants a new contract. I understand Houston's annoyance. I also understand if they Valued other players more than DeAndre Hopkins with that kind of money, and you want to pay to Shawn Watson, you want to pay some of the other guys. I'm not saying I agree with it, but you can understand the thought process. It's a theory. It's a way to build a team. But what is inexcusable? Is not getting a first round pick for Hopkins. That is inexcusable and X. Ted getting a washed up David Johnson as the centerpiece of the return. I mean, that is, you know, we had a touchdown Thursday night, but last Thursday night I should say in the opener, but I mean, that is tough. That is tough. And if I'm to Shawn Watson, if my team falls again to the Ravens really very well might It's going to say the Texans are at home, but no no home field advantage. Sorry, but it's ah, It's it's its own, too. And if I'm dead, John Watson, I'm beginning to second guess things that's for sure. I don't think the Patriots Our second guessing picking up Cam Newton off the scrapheap with what he did in week one against the Dolphins. And that is your Sunday night game, Patriots and Seahawks coming off both teams coming off. Very impressive performances, and I think what the Patriots did with Cam Newton. Obviously has generated a lot of conversation throughout the week, but It really is just a continuation. Of what they've always done with Bill Belichick and Thea offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. And that is they adapt to the personnel. Hand over the last couple years, the Patriots have become a more run centric team anyway. They draft Sony Michelle in the first round. They franchise a guard Joe Tooni. They have a tight end James Devlin. He then leaves and they signed another tight end folk. They've sorry, full background that they have a full back a fulltime fullback and James Devlin. He gets hurt last year, which really hurts their running game, And then this offseason, they pick up another fullback who Opted out of the season, but still they value the fullback position of all things. They drafted too tight ends who are blocking tight ends in the NFL draft this year? So the Patriots for a couple years. We're going in more of this run centric style. Cam Newton is really just a continuation of that. He certainly looks healthy to state the obvious. I don't think you can carry the ball 15 times each game and still be standing upright. Never mind. Bye week, 17, But I don't even know bye Week seven and Patriots of a much tougher test this week against Bobby Wagner and Jamal Adams, who I think are two of the hardest hitting players at their positions. So Noone will have to throw the ball more this week. But I think he's up for it in this more motion style offense that the Patriots obviously never ran with Brady. They've tailored their playbook to fit Newton. And he went eight for eight. Monroe out past his last Sunday eight for eight to know the Dolphins defense left a lot to be desired. But that's perfect. Right to state. The obvious you can't do better than that. So That would be very optimistic for the Patriots about what week one showed me And most importantly, of course, is that Cam appears to be healthy. And that is so important for the Patriots, who Are not giving him a lot to work with. At the skill positions. You look at the wide receiving group. With Newton. It's Edelman. Then, after that, you have no keel Harry, a first round pick in the second year who woefully disappointed in his first year and actually spent most of it hurt. So he's the number two guy behind element on the depth chart, and then you have a whole bunch of flotsam and jetsam from Dimier Bird. Tio Jacoby Meyers, who's like an undrafted guy. Gunnar Olsavsky. Whoever that is, is listed on the depth chart. I mean, the Patriots. Do not have weapons, So it's more of a run. But, you know, I think Cam Newton is more Capable of making do with that than Brady is at the end of his career, because with Brady it's lineup shotgun four wide five wide. Let's go. Precise precision. Noon. Obviously as much, however freelancer. He doesn't need that kind of precision. So I think it benefits them anyway. So a great start is Patriot career and of all, the Seahawks fan. I want Russell Wilson doing what he did Sunday every week, and I don't just mean his performance. Anybody would take a four touchdown performance lighting up the Falcons. I'm talking about. Throwing the ball. 35 times. I want to see Russell Wilson, throw the ball. Around 30 times each week. He's one of the best quarterbacks in football. This is a league in which Joe Burrow is throwing the ball 60 times on a weekly basis. Obviously, that's far too much. But Russell Wilson should be throwing the ball between 30 and 35 times on a weekly basis, and I know that the Falcons have a weak secondary. So maybe that's why Pete Carroll tailored the game plan for that, and against the Patriots, who have a much better secondary. Maybe the sea Oxy get back tomorrow there run for style, but that would be a mistake. I think because you want to put the ball in the hands of your best players, right? Groundbreaking. You want your best players to touch the ball. Well, it is groundbreaking for the Seahawks because they haven't really done that yet, and especially last year as Wilson's developed into this elite pastor. It's just become so apparent that they need him to throw the ball more, then me, they need him to throw the ball more. And look what happened last week. 22 yards, four touchdowns picked up 15 1st Downs. You know, 38 points. It was just a dominant Offensive performance. The Seahawks have the weapons decay. Metcalfe. I mean, they gotta put the ball and Russell Wilson's hands more. So that's the big takeaway from the Seahawks. Throw the ball with your best player. Darla, bald and MVP candidate and it will work out. So it's a very fascinating Sunday night match up this week between the Patriots and the Seahawks. It caps it highlights. I think the week to slate across again a felon to help us further break that down coming up on their side. We welcome in Tower. Sullivan, who writes for the NFL and covers the NFL for CBS Sports and CBS. H Q. Getting his thoughts on Sunday night match up the woeful performance of some Belichick disciples, including Matt Patricia, who I Know if you saw it this week, but had one of the most atrocious excuses for a poor weight gain performance that I've ever seen Thoughts on Joe Burrow and also Ravens Texans. We break it.

"Stevens Has not adjusted well against his own defense. They struggled when Nick Nurse employed it with the Raptor, and they're struggling to make the adjustments. Erik Spoelstra in the heat this round as well, but overall, I think the Celtics are a team that this this locker and blow up, I think is I take that as a positive sign, and I think it's a it's a potential rallying cry for them. Versus a team that's falling apart at the seams against Miami Heat team that has just been on a roll. I mean, they have been a machine. They've only lost one game so far this postseason. That overtime game to the Bucks when Eunice got hurt, I mean, besides that fluke ATF. Lucas loss, The Heat has been unstoppable. It's there so well coached. Everybody's role in Jimmy Butler is the best player in this series. Just how every time he won a playoff game, Can you imagine how dumb the 76 years must feel for letting him go? I mean mad, So that's they take nothing away from the heat, but the pressure is certainly on the Celtics tonight. 8552 and two for CBS is your number were also getting you ready for week two of the NFL season and tomorrow we do want to remind you it's an NFL on CBS doubleheader. On the CBS Sports Network with the early Games, highlighted by an NFC matchup between the Giants and bears, along with the Broncos scoring off the Steelers than in Game two. We have Patrick Mahomes and defending Super Bowl champion chief's taking on the Chargers or the Ravens taking on the Texans. It all starts with J B and the guys on the NFL today at noon Eastern nine Pacific tomorrow that Sunday On CBS, so maybe not the sexiest Calender of week. Two games, but still some interesting matchups as you see. What's happening on CBS tomorrow? I think Ravens Texans in the four o'clock window is a very interesting game and you talk about the pressure is on. If I'm to Shawn Watson meet after how my team performed. And weak one from the Shawn Watson. I may be starting to have some second guesses. About signing that mammoth extension with Houston. You didn't have to. I know it's nice to get paid, especially In this economic depression, where in it's very hard to turn down nine figures. So I totally understand that, but I mean Hello, Brian. "Contains the raw like he's been doing since he's Kentucky man this team serious now they serious and when these why receivers continuing to develop being gets more and more confident and we know who being. Robbins, as Burgee is leading games we guys they can make plays, Benny Schnell ran for one hundred, thirteen yards last night, and Dan. Grazziano you know what? There's a famous line Jerry Krause said that organizations win championships not players and I think back to a year ago when Rothlisburger got hurt people sitting on this set, who said, you know what they should just give up on the season start thinking. About starting with a new quarterback and all the rest of that they doubled down on their own team right they made that trade for Minkah, Fitzpatrick we all questioned at the time they counted on getting back and competing this year, and at least through one game, they look like they had that exactly right and it gets back to that philosophy. You talking about Jerry Cross, they believe in their organization. Marcus talking about wide receivers, there's no team that's drafted and developed receivers better than Pittsburgh has over the years. We see the running back depth in case, connor can't get all the way through the season as has been the case. The one thing that could set them back is rothlisberger if he if he's not healthy and even earlier in his career, he's never been a guy that you can count on to play all sixteen games but Pittsburgh believes that if these back that there are a real contender Baltimore's great pick to win the super bowl but they're going to have a harder time with Pittsburgh this year. Head to head and in the division standings and they had last year and bear in mind there's only one team that's going to get a buy in either conference. So those are not easy to come by and it could wind up making a big difference. So that was the early game last night. Let's get to the lake game which ended in crazy fashion titans broncos in Denver several players choosing to stand others choosing. To kneel teammates showing support picking up on.

"Back. This defense is going to continue to make plays put the ball in his hands and shut down the best players for the opposing teams like like you mentioned has six yards on fifteen carries. Do you know no fifteen carries gene eight? Of. Those were negative play where he was in the backfield. The penetration the guys up Front T. J. Watt. But do pre Tam Hayward Bush in the Middle Meka Fitzpatrick on the back end every level has a guy that could be a game changer. So now you point to the fact that they were good last year when it comes to record and an. Opportunity to get in the postseason. Now, you add a hall of Famer in big being Hussein seemed to catch his stride as the game went along. Why wouldn't they be in the conversation? Obviously Baltimore's in their division and we know what Kansas City is. But if you ever count Pittsburgh out the way they plan defense and with Big Ben Controlling at the helm. That'd be crazy for you to do. They are firmly in the conversation Yeah Jeff Saturday. I'll just keep giving this stat over and over again they were eight and three last year and Games in which they scored at least eleven point eleven. Ben. Rothlisberger should do that in his sleep. So is there a big three in your mind Jeff Saturday in the AFC? Absolutely, and we could go. We talked about a bold prediction of the steelers possibly winning this division. I don't back down from that you're talking about a Guy Ben Rothlisberger one, hundred and ten and ten when the steelers allow twenty points or fewer last season with no quarterback.

"Khanna Green Great stuff with Scott Hanson. We went a little bit longer, thinks his excitement just gets you all pumped up for the football season is positivity is well. I got to get your thoughts here because I think you're very good on the B s meter in detecting B. S When DeAndre Hopkins last night tweets out grateful. I thought it was a clear shot that I'm grateful. I'm no longer on the Houston tax ins. And usually you don't hear anything negative about DeAndre Hopkins. Heck of a story heck of a football player. And he doesn't use to get caught up in all this stuff. But he was put in a bad situation this year where he got traded, where he shouldn't have been training. If you are going to trade him, they should have got more back for him with the tax. And so he's in the drama situation. The only time I really had some blowback on something that he said was when he took some sort of shot about the 20 for nothing lead that they did blow last year. Like, Dude, you are a part of that You shouldn't be mocking it and making fun out of it. That was during the pandemic at some point. So I was actually watching Jimmy Fallon after the game last night, and I was on my couch all jacked up after the football game, And then eventually Jimmy Fallon comes on. So I watch that in the background before I actually passed. Have my couch. I wake up at 3:30 A.m. Eastern, I go. Where the heck am I a little bit of a football hangover? Even though I didn't even have a single alcoholic beverage last night and then eventually take the 56 steps from my couch to the bed, fall asleep and then woke up. I don't know. I think I look up this morning like 88 30 something along those lines so I did see, though, on Jimmy Fallon DeAndre Hopkins is on now. Nothing was crazy with DeAndre Hopkins on Fallon. It was a classic like fluff interview. Nothing else that you could really expect. I think the roots were actually making songs about the football players that were on. I saw in the hazy memory that I have from basically falling asleep on the couch and kind of watching with just putting something on the background, not want to go to bed yet. I remember seeing McCaffrey on there, and Hopkins. I don't know if anybody else so I did see that Dove Kleiman, who covers the NFL, he tweeted out after the Hopkins tweet of grateful Major League shade from the Andre Hopkins. Well done. So, Hopkins he fires back saying no, You are all reaching. I was on Fallon tonight. Dream come true. I'm from more blessings. He s meter? Yes or no. DeAndre. Hopkins was throwing shade at the Texans last night. Or this was I was just grateful to be on Jimmy Fallon. That is Total B s. Okay. Total B s. First of all No one likes. Jimmy found that much to be tweeting grateful afterwards and second of all. There's no way that was not a hidden little veiled shot at his former team that's traded him away. There's no way he was just happy to be on Jimmy Fallon show, and that's why I tweeted that like I'm not saying he isn't happy to be on Jimmy Fallon. However, if I'm in that position where I could just I'm not DeAndre Hopkins. Obviously I'm not doing one of those crazy talk show host comparisons where I think I'm a much bigger deal than what I actually am. But for example, I've been on some shows or fat content picked up by let's say SportsCenter or NFL network and I go man That's really cool, like so grateful for that to happen. If I'm just trying to go on that think you're I've been a guest on on a talk show that grew up listening to something along those lines. You would tweet out like really grateful. Let's say from put beyond Really grateful to be on Jim Rome show and tagged Jim Rome. You wouldn't just tweet out grateful. And if you are DeAndre Hopkins when you tweet out, just grateful in your old team just got smacked on the opening night of the season on Thursday night football on NBC game if that's was your intentions, Grateful to be on Jimmy Fallon. You should have said that because it's very ambiguous. And I tend to agree with you, Mr Khanna Green, and I think that was an astute observation an obvious observation. That DeAndre Hopkins who play the Nice Guy Act here, he was basically said, Hey, Bill O'Brien. You want some come gets on, and that's what he based. I think afterwards to somebody said, Hey, you know, DeAndre, this tweet really doesn't look so good. And he had to, like, Pull a hammy trying to come up with some excuse, and he was like Jimmy Fallon. I just love Jimmy film. That's what it is O R. Or or or or he just goes, you know, let me play into the game here. Let me just say now it was Fallon. I'll use that as the excuse. When in reality you were saying, Hey, Texans, not it out on you guys lost. I'd even play yet, but I'm going to throw some shade. You're away. Now the Cardinals have the 40. Niners Week one. You better play well. And then if I'm a Texans player, maybe not too, Sean. But, you know, maybe if on Jacob Martin, I don't know some of scared Texans player. Even though you shouldn't be doing much talking after the performance that happened on Thursday, however, people have short term memory. If Hopkins jobs a big football late, and the Cardinals don't get a victory on Sunday, will any Texans players three back out grateful? Probably not coming off the loss. If I was the Texans player, even though I like DeAndre Hopkins and think he should be on the football team, this could be worn out. Maybe out in petty social media fights. Maybe Bill O'Brien, I'll tweet grateful. At this point has so much power there and no one could do anything anyway. Yeah, I would not be grateful to have Bill O'Brien running my football team. Okay, if he's coaching it, he's not the worst coach in league is not the best coach in the league. I goes to the playoffs. I think that's a Super Bowl winning coach. No, I don't know. I think he's a Super Bowl Earl manager. I can't even say it without chuckling. That would be fun. If I don't even big O'Brien has a Twitter..

"Shawn Watson at avoiding obviously bad line play last night. Yeah. You know, he was pretty good. You know, there's one player remember that he got out of a sack, but it was still like he scrambles off the leopard with still a minus two. You know a lot, but for him to escape. The initial sack, you know, was pretty spectacular. To me when I look at somebody, especially last night for the text, and, you know, I remember one key snack sack. It was just a miscommunication. You have the live backer standing over the center space on the line of scrimmage in the centre goes left a linebacker. Kind of just positive for a second. Okay, I'm gonna block it just takes the middle so and you know what? Summer on watch, and I mean he holds the ball. He's one of the guys that great for us, you know, he holds the ball longer than others. And I was kind of interested to see how much that would change because over the years the last three years with Watson and DeAndre Hopkins watching that 74 big time throws 22 of them went to DeAndre Hopkins, but also 20 turnover worthy place went in line to DeAndre Hopkins. So in my mind, I'm thinking, okay. Maybe he's going to be more disciplined to get through his reads and his progressions and this will help the office. I think they have good weapons. That receiver so even after last night, I'm not too concerned. I think, Watson. This is how he plays. I want to see him play Mork consistent throughout the year, but he's gonna have okay games. Then he's gonna have these spectacular game it and we'll watch him do that, But I think they do still have enough weapons for him to get it down..

"The young quarterback that you're trying to help get to the next level is never going to look good. And I think again last night that's a Texas team that they went up seven. Nothing and then would totally and took a nap for two quarters. You think that maybe DeAndre Hopkins could have helped out a little bit on some smaller Chiefs quarterbacks last night. Especially on a night where Frank Clark was a demon off the edge, and to Sean wanted at no time whatsoever whatsoever. In many instances, it guess what helps. Just chucking it up and giving your one of your best wide receivers in football a chance to go make a play that helps Also Last night, the Chiefs defensive line kind of owned the trenches and again harassed Shawn Watson for much of the night. Guess what can't happen that You know Bill Brian's been in charge of building offensive line. He's traded away a lot of assets. He's traded away a lot of pics to do exactly that. He spent money on that offensive line that can't happen last night. I'm not saying it's all on Bill O'Brien because the players have to play and Watson can be better in the offense of line's got to be better in all of those things, and they were beat by a championship team that could be on its way to another championship. But the things that happened last night Actually shouldn't be happening. Like the Texans offense. Should it be completely zero? For two full quarters and whatever they did in the fourth quarter is meaningless because the game was out of hand. What shouldn't happen is the offensive line not giving to Shawn Watson time. What should happen is in on the fly, tried attempt at trying to figure out who's gonna fill in for DeAndre Hopkins because there's gonna be nobody that actually does that well. The one good thing about last night was David Johnson, who obviously comes out of Arizona and he's injured and he is He is a guy that cost too much, and the car does want to get rid of him and treat him away in the DeAndre Hopkins deal. That will that will give you a little bit of leash if David Johnson becomes a very productive back both on the ground and through the air. He carried for 77 yards caught another 32 yards. So had over 100 yards last night running and receiving good that helps ease it a little bit. But again, this is a matchup between two team that could be the two best teams. The AMC And it wasn't really much of a fight. It was 24 to 7 by the start of the fourth quarter, and then you know the fourth quarters kind of meaningless at that point in time. So I I think the pressure on Bill O'Brien's going to be events this year. I think the speculation on trading away DeAndre Hopkins is going to be never ending. And I think that all of these roster decisions that Bill O'Brien's made They need to pay dividends in a big way. Considering you just gave the dish on wanted all of that money. You better have a roster around him. That can help get him to the next level, which is deep into January, which is not just one of the A. C South. That's not enough anymore. And that's going to be much tougher because the Tennessee Titans are on the com and went to the championship game last year. 855 to 1 to four, CBS. 855 to 124227 Twitter, DEA on CBS Morales watching last night's game. What was your big takeaway from the From the Houston Texans side that Bill O'Brien continues to not get it? And a perfect example D A. The game last night, I believe was 24 7. Third quarter made way through Texans approaching mid field. You have this Shawn Watson. It's 1/4 and four. You have not been able to slow Patrick Mahomes Lair and the Chiefsoffense and what this Bill O'Brien do. He punts where he saw in the second quarter. Remember, and you read from his own territory on 1/4 and inches trusted. His offense got it that ends up leading to a scoring drive. It's those kind of moments that separate and swing games when Bill O'Brien is coaching them of being outclassed versus guys like Fella check and Andy Reid, etcetera. The game has changed. The game has evolved. It's no longer about being conservative. And if you have the Shawn Watson and are paying him this kind of money, and you know that you're playing the best offense on Planet Earth in the Kansas City Chiefs in their building and you're already down 2047 in your chances of stopping them coming back and you being a little play catch up or minimized. You cannot be punting in that situation and Bill O'Brien's lack of field for a game circumstances. His theme and the other team at this stage is alarming If I'm a Texan fan And to me, that is the biggest takeaway. Do you think he was scared or scarred after last year's playoff game when he was up bigger than try a fake punch, and it didn't work? Maybe, but not the fake punt it, That's the thing. It's, too Shawn Watson, right, like we're all in agreement here that the show Watson's trajectory is that he could get to a situation where he's a top five quarterback in football. I mean, he's he's a blossoming young store, and I understand you know of the Andrea Hopkins there, but Then draw play, even if you drop pass interference, but having time to Kansas City in the Red Zone yesterday, D ay, where they kept gold for the fourth down, trying to make sure the game got put away by three touchdowns instead of kicking a field goal. They I think they got through penalties there at a pass interference, like those are things that can happen here, and Bill O'Brien just doesn't get it. He continues to not get it. I don't wanna hear about scars from last year in the ABC playoffs. Figure it out, man. It was such a discrepancy coaching yesterday injury can't see the search fog in front of his face and circles around Bill O'Brien. Maybe read looked like he got stuck in a really small dunk tank. It was like this dunk tank was right around his face. It was all fogging up in his own way. I'm thrilled to see what Andy Reid does. Without the monkey on his back of Haven't won a Super Bowl. I feel like now he could just go out there and let her rip in. Of course, he's got a quarterback to be able to push all the right buttons. Just imagine the freedom Reed must feel right now. I got my ring. I got my trophy. I've got my spot on Canton and I've got the best quarterback in football and we just drafted Clyde Edwards, a layer who looked great in in week one. Let's let her rip. I mean, I just feel like this year could be A little bit like.

"Million. I love DeAndre Hopkins. I think he and Larry Fitzgerald probably have The best hands like old school hands. Just they're so strong with their hands. But, man, I mean good for him. That is an enormous Contract for a wide receiver. Did I read somewhere? He has He doesn't have any drops, or he's got the least amount of drops of any receiver in the league. I haven't read that. But that is not surprising. Take that. I think I read that his kids made. They didn't drop one ball last year. His catch radius is enormous. And I'm telling you when he gets his hands On the ball. You just can't dislodge it mean he catches in traffic. He catches that when they're thrown low. He just makes unbelievable catch is he's not the fastest receiver and league, but he's a really good athlete, and he can run. He's not. It's not like he's a possession receiver always had great respect for his game. He's he's been all pro in each of the last three seasons. It's seven years in Houston, right? And in those seven years he got 632 passes for eighty six hundred two years and 54 touchdowns. This guy I mean market. Is on his way to the Hall of Fame. So good for DeAndre Hopkins and you talk about Skyler Murray having a guy that now? I mean, he's got several guy think Arizona is a dangerous, dangerous team this year with what they do on offense and the guys now surrounding color murder to prove your case. They've Hopkins Since 2006 has 225 Straight straight receptions without dropping a single one. He leads in that category among active receiver since 6 2225 straight catches, no drops. Didn't know that And I'm like, No, I'm not surprised, not surprise and he's blowing away number two guy Randall Cobb, 121, Michael Thomas 116 Tyler Lockett 1 11, So he's doubled up those guys all good receivers, But none of those guys maybe with the exception of Mike, Mike, stop Michael Thomas. Has the ability to catch the ball. I mean, all receivers in the league have good ability to catch the ball. And then there's guys that just just have a unique ability with her hands or just natural ball. Catchers. DeAndre Hopkins is one of those guys. We should talk briefly last three minutes of the show for five minutes. Excuse me that You know, the fires have played not only here in Colorado plagued our state, but also in California. Now the story is a couple expecting a baby. Set out this past Saturday morning to share the news of the child's sex by setting off a smoke bomb. It would send plumes of pink or blue smoke. Rising into the southern California air. Well, it went bad. And now 21,000 people have been forced to evacuate because of that wildfire unrealized. Yeah, gender reveal. So. They said that one in 2017 that in Arizona, Rick It happened and The guy got. I think he had a Mr mean let me look at what he so it was 2017 off duty Border Patrol agent shot a high powered rifle at a target packed with an explosive as part of a gender reveal. Igniting a fire in Arizona that groove 47,000 acres in Kaz more than eight million in damage, So he got a misdemeanor. He was sentenced to five years probation order to pay 8.2 Million and restitution. How do you pay it back? A 0.2 million and restitution. I, You know, I probably couldn't do it. Yeah, little by little would be my insurance paid for that. Probably Some of it may be right. I mean, that's like, how do you pay that, like you would take? Most people could never pay that back in our lifetime. This fire that was started Saturday as of last night. It's barely contained. It's already burned through nearly 10,000 acres. As I mentioned it is forced more than 21,000 people to evacuate their homes. What do you just feel terrible. You know, as your baby's gender reveal you should Wow. I think we just vote to end all gender reveals from here on out. Do you think I was already sick of him, and now they're doing damage. They have gone a little over the top with them. It just seems like everyone has to do. It was the first gender reveal. It's been like a decade or maybe a little longer. I mean, this wasn't a thing, though. It's relatively new, right? Yeah. Is that about right to this extent where they have where they pull up some sort of, you know. Creative stunt that I just mean, when was the first Like gender review. I think it was Canada says here the earliest one was the late to thousands around. 2008 was the first one that they've seen. All right, so that's been about a decade over a decade. I never did of gender reveal. I don't want a thing when we had our kids. I mean, they were thing when I had mine, But I just assume find out as soon as I could. I just stood in the back yard with a bullhorn. What girl? Turn turn. Yeah, I mean, you know, No, I mean it. Just Yeah. What? Nothing, Rick. No. One nothing. And The ads. We drove our covered wagon work and just told the people that were there at the bar. Hey, listen, I'm having our idea. I did smoke a cigar. I did to my only cigar of my life until the day my daughter was born. Almost. I mean, I got green really fast, like really mean. Like, Like fast. I was sick. I felt like I got high off a bit. Like I felt that one cigar It was the cigar it believe me. It was a cigar. I'm just not a cigar smoker, and it Yeah, I felt weird. I didn't inhale it or anything..

"The curtain going up on the 2020 NFL season and we keep repeating it bears repeating. He doesn't feel like it's NFL game week. But it is the buildup the anticipation, not Where it typically is because of the pandemic and the wonky exhibition games and all that, But there's still paper to be handed out in the hours before. The kick off of the 2020 NFL regular season one of football's biggest stars. He's right now as we speak, crossing the teas and dawning the eyes on a record setting contract. Now, if you've not been paying attention, you'd been following some other things. And perhaps you have missed this. Let me give you the condensed version of events. So we have now been told that the Arizona Cardinals are finalizing a mega contract extension with newly acquired DeAndre Hopkins. It is expected when everything is done, and everything is kosher that this will make him the highest paid receiver in pro football. He's in the high rent district. He was already well paid. But now he's in a different part of the galaxy, and in no money it is anticipated. That DeAndre Hopkins contract is going to exceed what currently is in the number one spot for wide receiver money. And that would be Julio Jones. Keeping up with the Joneses, The Falcon wideout, a $22 Million on average. So if you do the math on that the matter math DeAndre Hopkins we don't know this officially officially But from what we're being told he will make more than 22 year is that 20 three's at 24 million. Who knows we we've already seen some other big contracts that have been handed out here recently in this lead up to the start of the NFL regular season, So here's another one. All right now, keep in mind that Hopkins was already under contract his old contract with the Houston Texans through 2022. The contract was transferred on over. Could be ST there and 40 grand in the Grand Canyon state, the cactus state and all that. So let us discuss the question. What is your take away from this latest big money extension specifically, though, for DeAndre hopping, so I've got the full Moon Express train and squeaky And we will lock all these things together. That number one There is no closing the vault. I have determined I had an epiphany. There's no closing the vault for the gold reserves in the NFL. They know that even though the sports economy Is not great. Right now. The global economy in general is not good. That they still got resource is right. Despite the pandemic, with a bunch of businesses closing a global recession, the industrial complex of sports is still handing out contracts like snicker bars on Halloween. You get one you get, I'll give you a whole handful. Why don't you get a whole handful? Patrick Mahomes? He got the $450 million deal, which is really 141 million Guaranteed in Kansas City. Mookie Betts in baseball. I know that's a crossover story, but Mookie Betts $365 million fully guaranteed over 12 seasons toe where Dodger Blue and now it's DeAndre Hopkins turn to scratch off his lottery ticket. Right. Scratch off lottery Take their It appears the sports leagues as they are operating because off their TV sugar daddies, they are immune. Two pandemics. And recessions and all the things that affect the rest of us. They'll have to worry about like they can only be killed with the blood of a virgin on a full moon. That's about the only way you can take down these sports leagues. It's unbelievable. Now, the second thing here. All right. People are going to react this and then I'll be too much reaction causes the Arizona Cardinals. They're not a high profile team. But this is not without uncertainty for the car. Doesn't I imagine this will be met with a shoulder rub and a foot massage by the football establishment media. And while I will certainly agree that DeAndre Hopkins is on the express train, Jude to Canton, Ohio. He's the conductor. I too, don't you hey, hasn't done squat. As a cardinal. Now That doesn't mean he's not going to be amazing, But Arizona is paying him based on what he did for the Houston taxes. They're not paying him based on what he's done in Arizona. There been thinking he's going to continue and there will be a seamless Transitions kind of like when you have wooden floors, and some of the floor has become damaged. You have to replace them and you bring in a contractor and they're able to line them up. And then they polished them and you won't even tell the difference. If if it's done right now, Hopkins He's got many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many chances in Arizona will be there this contract, depending on the guaranteed money. He's going to be there for the next I would think four years most likely and guaranteed money. But he has as many grabs of the football in a red birds uniform as blind Scott and beer drinking Brian have so in that regard. Right, not knowing exactly how this is all going to play out. That is what's risky business Now it's limited risk, but it's still risky business. You're taking a guy that had success filling up the stat sheet in Houston. And now he's in a nuke division in a new conference playing against different teams on the regular You're not, You're not going to go against Jacksonville twice a year. In fact, there are there's no punching bag like Jackson. You're on the punching bag in the NFC West. You're playing for the punching bag in the NFC West. And while the likelihood certainly is that DeAndre Hopkins will continue to tear up the NFL, he brings the swagger he brings. The PA's as to the.

Deshaun Watson endorses Houston Texans' potential Antonio Brown pursuit, even if the franchise hasn't shown interest

"Brown now, so there was some videos of him working out with Russell Wilson earlier this offseason. We've seen Antonio Brown working out with Lamar Jackson. Now to the Texans, maybe have some interest. We know their quarterback DeShaun Watson looks interested. Shawn Watson responded to a tweet from former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson. And what Shad Johnson tweeted a B to the Texans would like a prayer. Emoji link, I guess praying it happens. And this John Watson's tweet was basically a Mame of you know, Drake looking like, Really, I'm intrigued. I got intrigued type of look. Here's the reality. But the Texan sign Antonio Brown, then shame on Bill O'Brien. You cannot justify signing a bee in the same off season that you shipped away DeAndre Hopkins for nothing for David Johnson's contract in a second round pick, You cannot trade away the game's best wide receiver and then bring in a guy like Antonio Brown. Who is a locker room cancer. You can't do it. You can't justify it. Let's ignore the off the field stuff with a B and the suspension that's likely coming to the guy. Let's just talk about what he did the last year and 1/2. From alienating himself in Pittsburgh and missing a winner Go home Week 17 game. You then going to the Raiders and hurting himself by freezing his foot off. So then having an issue with the NFL helmet rule. To getting into with Mike. May I threatening to punch the guy? You secretly recording Jon Gruden. And then releasing a video after the Raiders finally released him and maybe be like I'm free. I'm free as it playing for the Raiders, making $15 million was, you know being kept in, you know. Unlivable conditions that Antonio Brown was in such a terrible life situation. He's finally free. That's what you get on the field, or, I guess technically off the field with the Raiders last year. We all know about the alleged crimes, and this guy has committed the lawsuit she's dealing with, so he's facing a suspension and you're the Texans and you're going to sign Antonio Brown Anthea traded away, arguably the game's best wide receiver. Who has never been and off the field malcontent who has always done the right thing in the Houston community, You can't sell Texans fans on Antonio Brown. If you traded away, DeAndre Hopkins, you just can't do it. Why would you trade away Hopkins to take a chance on Abie, who's facing a suspension? And we all know at some point Something's going to go wrong because it always goes wrong. For Antonio Brown. I mean, you cannot At any under any circumstance signed this guy. When everything we've heard from Bill O'Brien is he wants character guys, Bill O'Brien's cliche lines in every press conference. I've been out with him smart, dependable, reliable, tough football players. That's what we want. Antonio Brown is the opposite of every trade Bill O'Brien says he wants to be the biggest hypocrite. GM Bill O'Brien signs Antonio Brown. You can't do it. You just can't I don't care. Baby wants to play for nothing that sends the wrong message to the entire locker room. You traded DeAndre Hopkins. You gotta live with that. You deal with brains and cooks. You have will fuller Let's go figure it out. Yeah. Kenny Stills, Kiki cuties motivated to come back and play well in his third season. You made your bed now you gotta lie in it. Bring in Antonio Brown when there's going to be a condensed training camp. You think this guy's gonna follow social distancing guidelines? No shot Antonio Brown. We had every strip club in Houston by week three. It's called for what it is. He's the last guy the Texans need right now. That's the type of signing that alienated the entire locker room.

But you on change my mind I really think. Just be one through eight in the West in one through eight in the east in the bubble. If we're serious about safety that brings the least amount of people into the bubble and we're sixty six sixty seven games in the regular season. That's a lot of games. And if you're a team like the trail blazers and you want a chance to compete for championship. You had it sixty six times all ready Jalen. I know you don't agree. Where exactly are we? So we're going to California el Segundo AB- like what two miles from the airport? Exactly yeah I mean it was the most. This is the easiest drive ever made from the airport and season to just so you know the whole theme is heart of a hero and we're really trying to identify People that are changing the game and and that's who were having an inviting on season two of the Pike Aston. You probably more than just about anybody. I know are changing the game in a multitude of ways and I and I wanna get into that so you are truly a game changer. Speaking of the game game changers. Have you seen the movie I have in before I even get into that? I mean I just WanNa share on August the impact you and your family out on my own life and just how much a fan of yours and incredibly sincere. I've watched forks over knives yet more times than I can count Shared it with more people than I can count And you don't want. We got a chance to connect few years back. It was a terrific thing for me. No I've been a big fan of yours for a long time to be here being everybody. You surreal well. I I'm flattered. Thank you and so in the game changers. You saw it. Did you like it. I love that movie. Yes in fact. You're so intimately viable that but I'm having to stop myself showing you a clip. Because it's almost every time someone comes to my office injured in this subject. But of course that would be lost on you because you set the record for most I think most downloaded most downloads of a documentary ever and they broke it in a little over a week. It's remarkable and it resonates so strongly with me for so many of the reasons that it also resonates with you of course But even as somebody's building business it was really important for me to see this You know growing up we were very much exposed to the got milk campaign. I mean that was something that was a big part of culture and and maybe less so today but you know the use of athletes to promote a particular type of animal-based protein with something the California Milk Board. Did you know very well And and that was something that because of my own background and interest in the milk industry. My family was doing I paid a lot of to the got milk campaign with came time for me to start my own company I. She hired the original sponsor of that campaign. I'm Jeff Manning on the California Milk Board. He had left since you grew up on a dairy farm. I grew up in the city. Okay on my dad's a professor and we He he didn't like being in the city and so he wanted to have a place to recreate because he grew up in the country and so got a farm Very early on in my childhood and he's kind of entrepreneurial so ultimately we get wholesale cattle there Dairy but but he rate so To went back and found the person who who wrote the original mandate for the got milk campaign of someone named Jeff Manning on the California Milk Board and that led to that campaign with milk mustache. And you know Bo Jackson Derek. Jeter et CETERA. And so I asked him to come work with me so we were together for a number of years creating the future protein campaign that we have here on the go beyond campaign and it's been been remarkable woman named Beth. Moskowitz has brought in more athletes. I can count Really remarkable career having or you know deandre Jordan Deandre Hopkins Chris Paul. They are now getting behind the idea. That a plant based Diet is the best performance and so game changers just nails that yeah and and there's a scene in there with the Tennessee. Titans football players and chastity. Morgan yes is cooking. I think some burgers on a grill. Those beyond Meat Burger. Yes we love the the Morgan's and all they're doing and I think that's just a great story and you're seeing that Clifford throughout the NFL particularly NBA. Where lightness quickness is so important you seeing so many. Nba Athletes turn to a plant based Diet for no other reason improve the performance. They also love the social aspect of it. They love the disruptive Challenger. Let's let's not do things the way we used to do. Let's bring something forward in this. World is a little better for for their kids. The challenge the status quo. Yeah there's a big big part of that

"O'brien have traded De'andre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals. Four David Johnson. In addition the Houston. Texans will get a second round pick and the teams swapped fourth round picks and we were actually recording the show when this news broke. Here's our reaction. Oh Yeah Ring Ring Ring Ring Ring. So maybe bill. O'brien is not a horrible general manager. I told you we had to wait. I can't believe I was the only one that liked what he did. So anyway. So let's get to the point. The Andre Agassi. We beat he's Arbel Jenner manager the the Arizona cardinals were. They're giving up the Audrey Hopkins and taking David Johnson. Ambrosia horrible Jenner. Magistrate of the celebration. Brennan was and then give you guys some shock. Time deandre Hopkins going so now. The Texans are losing De'andre Hopkins paying all of David Johnson salary. If Bill O'Brien doesn't fire himself as general manager like by tomorrow than the Texas got to do something. This is insane so just just to clarify ought to you were they. Were giving up whether getting Johnson was already a terrible deal but to add to it they are straight away the best receiver in football. Are they getting for rebuilding onto SEAN WATSON'S ROOKIE DEAL? What are they doing? David Johnson playing wide receiver. Remember when I joked that they were trying to Laremy? Tunsil affirmed picking the Shawn Watson. Not that far off. Not that far off. They had to be getting first round picks back. They have to be if they're not then. This is an unmitigated is he is he is he. Is He still working for the Patriots? According to John Maclean Houston Chronicle Deandre Hopkins in a fourth round. Pick go to the cardinals for David. Johnson. A second rounder in fourth rounder. That's terrible deal for those fourth router is next year. The second rounders this year. So they're they're getting. They're giving away the Andre Hopkins in the fourth round. Pick David Johnson and second round pick this year and they'll get a fourth next year that is horrific and they're taking on David Johnson's full salary. I mean I don't WanNa be jerk reaction here but that might be the worst trade of all time. So basically the Texans picked up the Texans basically got an extra second round pick and traded David Johnson and Deandre Hopkins. Straight up since the fourth picks. Kind of cancel each other out. David Johnson Dodger Hopkins almost straight up. So basically the Texas got David Johnson. The second round pick deandre Hopkins. And you're getting Hopkins for three more years left on his deal right so you don't even have to give him a new contract right now. Is Major League Baseball punishing the Houston? Texans like what is what is going on. Why don't and also I mean we're ripping the Texans. What a great. You don't last twenty minutes for the Arizona cardinals incredible. They don't David Johnson salary and got the Andrea Hopkins back. Do you think other. Nfl take kidding me. Other health teams are going to pay to put it in phone lines at the at the Houston. Hq just so they can get through bill. O'brien because I guarantee you fifteen other teams. They're trying to call. Houston and work out a deal Bill Bryan but he was on the phone with. Steve and I just want to make it clear. I am giving Bill O'Brien and I was going to twist this around the say I was in his favor. Read the terms of this trade shipping off the Hopkins. And saying I'm off the Bill O'Brien bandwagon. This is this is literally insane. The big winner right away. Those Murray you know how John Jay Hopkins Larry Fitzgerald. Who's dying to get back to the playoffs? It's been so long. He's GONNA retire soon. You have Christian. Kerr you have tenure drake. I mean this offense could be insane. Nfc West is loaded by the way. Great News Brinson back to tweeting. Nonsense I would. I liked him better and didn't tweet. Tweet is actually pretty funny. You're doing this on everybody. From the BRINGER tweeted bill. O'brien's work from home. Stint OFF TO. A bad start. That's really good. I I don't I don't get stunned into silence much. I don't know what's so what on Earth would possess you to do this trade. Well good news is. He doesn't have to talk to the media so he doesn't explain himself so the thing is. I would say dumping money but then they just add it all that money by bringing in David Johnson Trading Andre Hopkins and just brought in draft picks. Because you want to get cheaper and add draft picks. I could at least maybe justify that but picking up a worse talent who cost just as much money. So you're not saving anything on the salary cap and you're really getting plus a second round pick. I mean this is not. I don't want to call it the worst trade in the past ten years but I mean it's all about the worst trade in the past fifty years this is. I mean this is bad as like the Babe Ruth Trade. What what do you think is this? Is this worse than the Herschel. Walker cheat or the or the the Ricky Williams draftee trade. This is a terrible terrible terrible trade and less. There's a mystery first round pick or a couple mystery first round picks. There's no excuse for this trade hopkins. It might be the best wide receiver football. He's under contract. David Johnson is a back who clearly has lost a step in his dealt with injuries..

"Maybe we just talk about MAURICE. Sarah's now looks like he's going to be the slot receiver for the Redskins. Washington's offensive line is in terrible shape out. Smith is going to have to get rid of the ball lickety-split forty times it gets Tampa Bay because you know, the bucks are going to put points on the scoreboard. I think MAURICE Harish ten catches for one hundred twenty four yards last week can come through with another big catch rate this week. I would go with him as your number three receiver and your PR league. Yeah. He would actually be my number two in this situation. The only place I would argue with you there is I would go with Brita over Troy Kwan Smith just because of I think we'll be a lower number of pathogens for drew. I don't know if you've seen more than four targets for trick one. Which is kind of what he's been most of the year. You're just hoping he's a touchdown. I do think breed is more reliable than trick one. The only problem is breed. It doesn't catch many passes. And he doesn't get a ton of work. He's only at fifteen plus such as once the season and he did not reward fantasy owners that game. When he did it. He had less than seven fantasy points. Eight five five two one two four two two seven is the number. We're heading to my hometown sweet home, Chicago goose's on I on fantasy football. Hey, hey, what's going on guys pleasure to always be able to talk to you on a Saturday night? This week was my wheel and deal week. All right. Let's hear it must win situation. So I made a big trade I have cook and deandre Hopkins by and so I I gave up Hopkins, and I got back Al, Sean and Gerald that put me in a position where now I need to figure out who my third receiver is going to be a half a point p p r. And I'm going between I've got NBS alshon. And now, I'm trying to decide whether I do Humphries Gerald Ridley or guardian and a half point PR. And if I can ask you a quick trade question. I'd appreciate that Blake when you can answer that one then I'll answer your receiver question quickly. So we can get to the trae question. I'm going to go without Sean, FitzGerald and vow this gambling. You just traded for these two receivers. I actually don't like the trade with Hopkins I would've tried to wait one more for options. But I get that you're in a must win situation. Gus but I think MVS alshon and FitzGerald receivers got you must win. So I I really had to do it. But I I hear you. So so here check this out. I've got an option where I can get Mahomes, but it would cost me James white in a backfield situation y had David Johnson Duke Johnson Chubb carry on a Mike Davis and my three receivers are watching Trubisky and rivers. Do I make a move there? Do I need to make a move because I love my home. But I'm pretty I I don't know if I should make it because I think I I could make it. But I don't know what do you guys think about who is your quarterback? Now, I got watched intra Bisky and rivers. I'm kinda just going with best match up right now. I think if you hold onto those guys, and you go with the best match up there James white is worth more than Patrick wells. And let's let's face facts. Philip rivers this week is taking on the Oakland Raiders. You just saw the great Nick Mullins did to the Oakland Raiders he had three touchdowns as Philip rivers gonna have he should have at least three he should have a big game. So you don't need Patrick Mahomes this week, and it'd be nice to have Mahomes on your fancy team should be Shawn Watson schedule when he comes back from the by. It's it's pretty good his last game against Jacksonville's until we seventeen here. It is Washington Tennessee Cleveland, Indianapolis, the jets in week fifteen and then week sixteen probably is next tough match-up at Philadelphia. I think you will see the Shawn Watson play just fine. I don't even know if you need Mitchell Trubisky on your team, but I know that you're a bears fan. So you might. I want to carry them along. And I just don't think you're gonna be able to trade anything for Mitchell Trubisky at that point. So don't love to trade for goose. But I love his quarterback death. He does not need to trade James white who might be the fantasy sleeper of the year. A lot of people waited a long time to either pick them up off the waiver draft him. We were talking about James why does the sleeper during the preseason. And he has certainly benefited both fantasy owners and the New England Patriots. All right when we come back to I on fantasy football on CBS sports radio. More of your calls. More question marks at running back Sony, Michelle area Johnson. We'll talk about Chris Carson in that Seattle run.

Troy Kwan Smith James white MAURICE Harish Patrick Mahomes Philip rivers deandre Hopkins Mitchell Trubisky Washington football Gerald Ridley Sean Shawn Watson Tampa Bay New England Patriots Oakland Raiders Redskins Brita Sarah Nick Mullins Chris Carson

"Whatever the score is it will be closer than seven and a half on either side. No game. But since you're putting me on the spot our three wide receivers are going to go. They're going to go crazy. Well, a lot of yards after catch somehow. We are going to win. Twenty seven. Ooh. To twenty six. Oh, a one. I like it. All right. I like that pick. I like it a lot. I don't know if we're gonna score that many points against this defense against I think we could win. I think we definitely cover. I don't see them. I don't see them blow. It are we lit up the bears bring them on. Yeah. So did you see before I make my pick? Did you see the? Deandre Hopkins throwing shade at that exhibit on our this week. I did not. So I've actually if you read the full quote, and I was given completely out of context when the reporter mentioned it to deandre Hopkins, and he said exhibit Howard's initial quote was that. Hopkins is a good receiver. He pushes off a lot. But he's you know, he makes fantastic are amazing catches. So the reporter said exhibit on Howard says you push off a lot and deandre Hopkins responded with who's exactly on Howard come on. Which I well. No, I'm just saying I mean, so now there's there's some shade being thrown you think Howard really steps up in this game. This'll be I mean, he's probably going to be matched up with the most of the night Xs a grown ass, man. He does not need bull bulletin board material to make him play. He's he's going to he's going to go out there and shut well and try his best. I hope so. But you know, I mean, I love Howard. I think he's he's more than capable cornerback business. You know, you you can win more than you lose. And you could still give up you know, one hundred yards and three plays. You know, when you could still swat seven balls away from him, and it still looks bad up one hundred yards. So I don't know. I Hopkins is going to get his he's pretty darn good. But, but, but you know, I'm all right with it. I was not all right with the pass interference call that was one thing from the from the lions game that happened on Sunday. There was that one the passenger fares call on xavien Howard that led to their field goal that made an eleven point game was basically sealed the game. That was the one though, though he did have his hands on his hip and brought him down a little bit. No, you're that was McCain that brought the guy down by his hip. Right. Right. That one like like in live action. I'm like, what are they calling? But like in super slow MO I'm like, yeah. I can kind of see it. It was a little ticky tack especially with the game on the line. I don't know either way. Anyway, I mean, they call they call. The thing to call them all the time. So yeah. So I would like to see I'd like see Howard bounce back and have a really great game against against Hopkins. So I'm gonna pick. I know there's a little bit of a segue there. I think our defense shows up. I think it's a little bit of a low scoring game. I think our defensive mad. I got I hope they're mad. I say we win this one. Twenty two seventeen dolphins. All right. I'll take that too. Yep. So all right. We'll see how we go from there. I don't have much more to say about this one. I don't really feel great about it. But I'm gonna I'm gonna take the dolphins. I'm gonna this. I mean, it's all I don't I hate to say the season is dependent on this game because it through it formed four that's not. I mean, that's the end of the world. It's not but the back half of our schedule is murder. It is. But the team the teams that looked really good in the you know, there's that Jaguars game. Wait that doesn't the Jag as daunting. Jags Green Bay and Minnesota are not as good as they were last year. Minnesota looks like they're starting to fire their good..

"Get a great player that you you assure yourself you try to assure yourself of one great player and maybe you have maybe of one great player one useless player but it doesn't matter you sort of has you've got the one yet right so the best example if you drafted digs in thelander ray aetna that would that i would have been the best i think that's the absolute best one not only because you would have had one great player but you would have had two great players and for a while that was the case in houston if you had gone deandre hopkins and wilful or on the same squad those two guys were tearing it up with shawn watson in detroit if you have marvin jones and golden state i think both of them were attainable with picks aroundoutside the top fifty depending on your lee scoring system and carolinas' if you had began the year with calvin benjamin and devon funchase on your team you were probably moderately happy and then when benjamin got traded the buffalo this before you hurt his knee you would been jumping out of the room because you would have had two great receivers on two different teams but those are the only four that i found where multiple receivers on the same team have been good for fantasy purposes but again the point wasn't necessarily that they both had to be good the point was at one of them had a great and i think you got that with carolina you certainly got that with minnesota we'll vo ones sorry detroit and used yet detroit yeah you didn't have to do it with houston and this is part of the problem with it is that the great receivers that you took early they're great you don't need to have the the backup to them now you don't but if that guy a gotten hurt then you would have had a great player there and that was kind of my point it's like not only are you drafting a player that you think of the mid rounds could be good you know that's where i thought about sarah williams i was dead wrong but you also got a guy that if the first guy you drafted got hurt will all of a sudden now you've got a much more valuable player than the one yet after the mid rats and i.
