"You're willing to. Build it. We Need New Hockey Barn a hockey arena to get in a minor league team. Soccer I? I like DOC stadium I liked that situation for Dayton Dutch lines, I think that's a perfect base there. But if you're talking USFL to, you might want to look at your own venue I. I mentioned to Michael That longtime ago. Rumors that the Dayton Dutch lions, we're going to build on the northeast corner of Yankee Nicic seventy five, which if you go by that, often you know a lot of trees. Also South you hospital cross away and date mall not too far either there's a lot of shopping to do around there. That be pretty nice place I mean most people drive six, seventy, five north or South, and they'll see it I mean, it's kind of Nice now again, this is suburbs not entirely Dayton Ohio. That Centerville or Miami's Park I think it's more Washington township but that's not important. We need a place to build. And I mentioned get together I feel like. Sports, fans there. I mean sure there's bars and everything, but there's not like one thing that unites all sports fans together. For me I I like any sports and I'll talk sports with anyone. You know this podcast exists. So there's proof that can. And the third point is be proud of Dayton like I mentioned Dayton has a lot going forward and yes, it's a little bit tarnished because downtown's all these places are shutting down while the Arcades building backup. That'd be a nice place for Sports Storm Hint hint out there. I mean fifth third. Fifth? Third. Field did a lot of great for downtown now at Stay Air Ballpark I mean that that area's very nice. I think something like that for another sport would be quite nice. But that goes back two point one you need to build a before they come so. But Yeah we can have sports as paradise here in Dayton Ohio. And I think we can get it done but we need everyone to group together and. Just, like sports loved in Ohio. You know it's not just the Gateway of America but you drive by it's like I. Heard of that I think they made flight there or something. So there you go. That's my whole take on its. Can Agree, disagree. I mean, you can have your own opinion on it. You can think I'm total wack job and saying no Dayton doesn't have any business being in sports. I mean I have the opinion that you're the job for saying that. But Hey, you know there's that. Just got a notification on my phone Antonio Brown suspended eight games. But he's not. With a team..

"She does she does a lot of stuff? It's amazing how much she covers in Cincinnati as well, but it's hard to keep track of law, but she. But at the same time I think I remember that year. That was probably the year I started with both Dayton. Dutch lions so But yeah, I always admired what the saints did and I always stop the owner Dave Sadder. Why was a good guy and a guy that wanted to see soccer grow in Cincinnati, so I doubt Dave Dave had definitely had the passion. to make that happen. Obviously! He didn't have the resources that you know the family had and. They came in and. kind of took over the show, but at the end of the day. You. You know kind of what what we were all. We were all chasing there which is. Soccer, really mattering in the city, and absolutely does now with with FC Cincinnati. Now let's talk about the move from Cincinnati to Dayton. Like So. That was an interesting one. You know when me Cincinnati I got announced. We were all kind of like okay. Craff what? What. What does this mean for us like? How are we going to compete? You know how we deal. Even from a you know from an advertising standpoint. We're obviously not gonNA. Spend at the levels that you know. The lenders are going to be able to spend to put billboards everywhere in advertising we. We ran we. Shot Her news and Made our own. like thirty second ad that we ran a few times during formulate matches. on on Channel Five's. I remember. That was, and that was a big thing for us to pull that. Aw! And now you have you know this. New Club coming into town that has much bigger aspirations, and and a lot deeper pockets to where they can put up a billboard you know on every street corner and run radio and television ads like crazy, and so it was just from that point, it was like well how we gonNA. Keep with us. So I didn't know what the plan was and then Saturday. Called me up one day. Hey, so. We are going to take the team up to date. I think we're going to rebrand. We'll probably GONNA rebrand to the Dynamo. That was the name that already resonated resonated in in the city. especially soccer can be. Mad. So I it worked out because at the time. I lived. In Trenton. I would like halfway between Cincinnati and Dayton. Easy choice for. Mar Head coach actually lived. in Dayton that entire time and what's driving all the way down to downtown Cincinnati like four days.

"Why yes. That is a new opening for this podcast. And the previous to episodes had new openings as well and this still is the podcast talking local Cincinnati and Dayton Ohio sports. Thanks for joining this podcast again. Episode One forty six great to talk with you and some good news to talk about today. A lot of it's bad but I I'd like to start off with a big. Thank you to my previous guests. That had on the PODCASTS. That would be Chris. Collins LARRY HANDS GET Steve Baker the voices of Rights State Dayton and Miami athletics. Lots of fun learning from three broadcasters that I respect and three broadcasters listen to a lot during the fall and winter seasons that be football and men's basketball so a lot of fun if you go back and listen to them except Soad's one forty two for Chris Collins one forty four for Larry Hands Gin and the last one one forty five four Steve Baker. Get a lot of fun. And hopefully we'll get to some more interviews for future episodes during this quarantine. Well I mentioned. We're GONNA talk about the bengals draft. We're going to save that for last. Actually because there is a lot of news to plow through and this episode and we'll start off with some bad you know summer season. What's the sport you think of the most? It's probably baseball but soccer's in there too while to summon up no soccer as the league's of the WPA ESL IN USA League to decided no action for twenty twenty. How Cincinnati Dutch? Lions already called off the season. It's about a week or two before the US L. League to made the decision but that means no Dayton Dutch lions no cincinnati sirens and no soccer action west Carrollton fairfield or highland heights. Now there was something I thought about. What about the Ohio Valley Premier League seen any news as of yet? But if I do see anything they'll be posted on social media and then we'll talk about on a future episode awfully though still be some action but while see so. Yeah that stinks. I was really looking forward to seeing. The women's team signed a bunch of looks to be really strong athletes on this Dutch. Lions Squad and Dayton Cincinnati. Great rivalry I don't have to tell you. My feelings about that Dayton in the Columbus Eagles. I think that'd be a great rivalry to none of it. No women's soccer. No men soccer although I will mention the WPA ESL is looking at fall action. Yes I said fall action now of course in the fall. What do you think of when it comes to soccer in Ohio? It's high school or collegiate and the ending of the MLS which by the way they pushed back. They're starting date as well. So yeah the WPA is looking at fall soccer. Which I don't know how that will work to be honest with you and I'll tell you why and I mentioned it. College soccer if the athletes are college bound. If they're on a college team how are you going to be able to fill up teams? I don't know I mean I. I liked the thought. But we'll see I do also want to bring up something that the Cincinnati sirens are doing. They posted this on social media. May the four so a couple of days ago the sirens and the Cincinnati swerve are running a food drive. Keller Williams Pinnacle Group is partnering with These Cincinnati Swerve in the sirens and our national read day this year by collecting your non perishable food items and delivering them to local Food Pantries and need the collection date is Thursday may fourteenth so next week. Please have your items out on your porch that morning for pickup of course if you're in Cincinnati area you know that helps in Dayton area. I think you have to drop it off somewhere and be sure to light your agent or favorite player. No you want to participate so each out to the players of the sirens and the swerve to say. Hey I want to donate nonperishable foods. Which I don't know if they make the drive up to Dayton for that so their personal gold two thousand twenty items for the food drive so contact on twitter since sirens and I really like that. So hats off sirens and swerve and hopefully it goes quite well again. That's next week. The fourteenth Thursday the fourteenth so non perishables got any extras lying around. That aren't expired. Donate they'll do a lot of good so no summer. Soccer this year summer baseball never hand is still on however you have to wait until July first the prospect league where the I league to push the starting date back to July first and then think about a week afterwards that Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League did the same thing July first now in the Prospect League. This season was scheduled to start late. May the twenty eighth of May from correct the Great Lakes June fifth. This pushback cuts half of these schedule out for the Great Lakes. Prospect League be close to half. A season goes in until the first week of August for the Great Lakes. You play the championship mid August. And that's it for the prospect. Goes I think a week longer. And then that's the end of summer collegiate round here so some are ball currently still on schedule and now we'll talk about Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball. We'll start with the majors. There's been a couple ideas tossed around by the brain trust of rob Manfred and everyone trying to get the sport back in action. Here's the latest idea that MLB tossed up. And this is from Matt why? Rick from NBC Sports Dot Com Slash. Intesne this is under the nationals category. Although Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred has maintained that he fully anticipates a sport will return in two thousand twenty. There's been few indications as to. How are where that might happen? Scroll down a little bit. A couple of paragraphs under this proposal O. B. will toss out the American League and National Leagues in favor of three ten team divisions based on geography teams would only play against the other clubs in their division completing a regular season schedule of about hundred games before playing in an expanded playoff. So again just to recap no. Nfl No al. What does that mean for the D. H. R? All three going but the D. H. Rule meaning pitchers don't bat or one going to have a Pitcher Bat. I think the way the sport has been trending unfortunately D. H. rule will probably be in fact for all thirty teams. Which I al. It's another day at the Ballpark When you're at Al Ballparks you have the D. H. role but normally. You don't have that so I don't know I mean. The roster has been expanded to twenty-six not just for doubleheaders but you know twenty-six throughout the season. That is nice so maybe we'll work. I mean D. H. is pretty much everywhere in Baseball College baseball. You have the ages. You rarely see pitchers hit high school's a little bit different D. H. is can go four position players. Like if you have a leftfielder that's extraordinary and feel but batting He's a little work. He put the pitcher in there. Who's batting like four sixty or something like that? So I think I think that's how they're gonNA roll with it. I don't think the article actually says that look at the previous paragraph nope nothing about that all the divisions and who's into the visions. Well we'll start off. In the Central Your Cincinnati reds will be part of this tended team unit along with the Cleveland Indians. Meaning Ohio Cup all the time a also with the Chicago cubs and the Chicago White Sox. Theme Milwaukee Brewers St Louis Cardinals the Kansas city royals the Minnesota twins the Detroit Tigers and the Atlanta braves. I saved a line of last. And I'll tell you why there's a lot of people say why not Pittsburgh well Pittsburgh's in the east and will cover the two in a minute but obviously Cincinnati to Atlanta. It's a straight shot down seventy five so I get it and plus historically if you look at the rivalries. I mean reds dodgers. That's not happening reds braves there so there you go so I'm not I'm not losing sleep that Pittsburgh's not in compared to Elena but I I like that mix I really do. There's a lot of local teams and travel for Cincinnati. You're going as far as think. Kansas City would be the farthest may be Minnesota. Actually Minnesota would probably makes more sense and the closest for Cincinnati. Just up seventy one for Cleveland or Chicago for that matter so the reds will get familiar faces in the cubs the brewers and the cards and also the Indians. Because it's you know interleague play once a year. I kinda like it. I mean still not crazy about the al going away but geography. The pretty much makes sense. Would you like to know who's in the East okay? It's The New York Yankees and New York mets. The Boston Red Sox The Washington nationals. The Baltimore Orioles. The Philadelphia Phillies the Toronto Blue Jays. The Tampa Bay rays the Miami Marlins and the Pittsburgh pirates the Florida ones. You can make the arguments central but no I. The central is pretty much midwest so I have mid West and Elena I like it so and in the West while the rest of the teams and mentioned but let's go over those the Los Angeles dodgers of Chavez being the Los Angeles Angels of Los Angeles The San Francisco giants the Oakland Athletics. The San Diego padres the Arizona diamondbacks Colorado rockies Texas Rangers Houston Astros and Seattle Mariners. So yeah that's pretty much a given pretty much your NFL West is intact there you're al. West's thing most of its intact. I like you can spell certain word that a won't say 'cause I don't WanNa have to say this is a podcast with dirty language but you can spell a certain word with the Al West gaps. It's kind of funny but there you go so yeah I like this because it allows teams to play in the home fields eventually whereas the previous plan all thirty teams. Go Zona although that's still on the table according to this article and according to ESPN but because player driven backlash against a no visitors allowed biosphere the has forced MLB's hand to actually look into it. So yeah again that Article Matt Y Rick Plead. That's how you say that from NBC. Sports Washington I kind of liked that idea. I mean I've once sports pack now so I can start working again. That'd be great but I like it I. I do like that idea and geography wise in east the trip to Florida's GonNa Really Stink for Your New England New York teams Toronto thanking about it. But same time it's fairly packed in Pennsylvania's Got Philadelphia and Pittsburgh there so that's pretty nice. Rivalry yeah I I like the idea. What what do you think you can chime in? Get some more interaction on this podcast. That's what I like so that is MLB idea latest idea. We'll go through. I don't know but hopefully so because like I said I. I really need sports back because Spin. A little tough of album..

"Donations. They'll go to detective del. Rio's family and I think that's all I really WanNa wait a minute. Nope it's springtime. We have such a beautiful day today. fifty seven degrees in Dayton. Mostly sunny a little bit chilly with the wind but hey is a great day. The Dayton Dutch lions women's team of the WPA ESL has released their home schedule for twenty twenty starts off of May Thirteenth at seven against Cleveland Ambassadors. May Twenty four five at Sunday against the Columbus Eagles. Nfc in fact for the five. Home Games are Sundays. May thirty first at three Detroit Motor City F C city of see. That's the team that won the division last year. Great Lakes Vision. I believe Pittsburgh. Afc The newcomers to the conference. June twenty-first at four and June twenty eighth of one Sunday Dayton the Cincinnati sirens definitely. Come out to that. Speaking of the sirens they also released their home schedule. Please don't tell me. They got rid of that tweet. They got rid of that. Tweet excellent while as you might know. The sirens have moved from Lakota West Fairfield high school this year. You doubt the big high school right behind. Jungle gyms so go catch a sirens game and before after that go to jungle gyms. That's where all the good food is. Good Food I mean. There's a lot of international. They have a fire truck with hot sauce. How can you not like jungle gyms? Yes there's a eastgate slash bacteria one but I don't know I heard. It's not as glamorous as the favor one but there you go so yeah. That tweet has been erased. Hurry so I feel like even more of an idiot while we pull up the sirens schedule. The Ohio Valley Premier League. We haven't talked about them in a while. They mentioned their ten teams playing twenty three men's soccer recently it was determined the Vpn a women's division of you twenty-three soccer's well and they announced the first team to play said women's division the Lexington Land Sharks the Lexington Kentucky team. We'll have not only immense team but a women's team I think that's outstanding now. Granted I don't see the Cincinnati Dutch lions joining this because they don't have a women's team. I forgot noise. Gate gets rid of the West Spring. Sorry sirens maybe team to be neat. Maybe the swerve swerve. Well now. It's still sirens. But I think the science will be in that mix so yeah definitely excited to see the O. V. VP L. Giving opportunities to both men and women and as the teams are announced. We'll talk about them on the weekly podcast so I want. I want sports and sustained to succeed. Yes the fiber story it still coming. You're confused and but I I really want everything to succeed around here. So that's why I talk about on the spot cast the Lexington Lands Shocks Your First Women's division team in the VP L. And I believe they'll announce more as the weeks combined but can't be too too late because again the season starts in. May think start may but yeah definitely looking forward to. That still. Haven't really pulled up the schedule. That's my fall on that..

"Practicing you can actually see into the court and all that stuff so also really cool too because whether it is the four public or the pub open to the public meeting rooms or the broadcast studio everything kind of see another practice area and then the basketball operations people can hit a button and it just curtains come come down like James Bond and blocks you from seeing the court. It's amazing ooh neat. And I hear that there may be also branching into podcasting a little bit there. Yeah I mean. I don't have specific plans but I do know that they're doing more podcasts. They're doing more Just television streaming. In general they have more than twenty different channels channels that they feed out of that Facility for the Pistons and they're just looking at all kinds of different options to get the word out about the team. You know I think a lot of people forget that so much. Sports Media's actually team control than actually produced by the team itself and a Lotta Times your sportscasters and things like that they're actually they're actually usually employees of the club and so this facility though is up and running now are they actually using it As their primary media broadcast studio and yet it's good to go it's interesting because they have direct can activity to Lca which is really Caesar's arena little caesars arena which is important for them because she was really built as the home of the redwings and the Pistons I mean. Let's just be honest. It was kind of an add on right there. Like it's it's still to this day. I think feels more like a red wings facility than a Pistons facility so having that connectivity is really important for them to have their base of operations it also has direct connections through the facility to the League and then they're also using giant data cloud from Microsoft so they actually have a direct link to Chicago as well so that they can get all of these huge files because if you're dealing with video and audio These really big. This is not sending word documents. The Detroit Pistons dropped home game in embarrassing fashion one. Thirty three to one. Nineteen to the woeful Washington Wizards this after defeating the Houston Rockets in Houston on Saturday night. Joining us to talk all about that. In a couple of other tidbits of sports news is Fletcher Sharp Fletcher one hundred thirty three points a lot of points to give up to a team. That has a losing record. What gives now having thing I j Drummond of really kind of hurts them on the defensive side they don't have a rim protector? Also a Kennedy inside maker has to play way more minutes and and as you've probably heard and everyone else assert high feel about thon maker. That's not a winning formula for the Pistons so to tell you but they they were out. Drummond was out Tonight's propor- in Houston yet will the difference of that is The rockets were also missing Russell. Westbrook and other the players and not to Russell Westbrook is like is like the game changer for them. But if you put the ball on James Harden's ends enough nights he will shoot you out of a game even as great as he is as a player Let's let's not forget the last time we saw them. In the playoffs they blew a game. By missing consecutive twenty seven three pointers he was main culprit open missing. Those of them wanted mentioned that Andre Drummond is out with an I- issue related to an allergic reaction. He had to eating Avocados while he was in Mexico. which I think is kind of an amazing little anecdote there what's the prognosis for both him and Blake Griffin has also been out? When are they expected to return to the lineup on Andre Drummond? I'm not sure honestly more to that. I feel like if you getting infects me Eating Avocado you know that you're allergic to them. And maybe eighty eight something Avocado in it. But like that's really not a good look for. You may not even talking about sports but it's not a good look like I'm allergic to seafood. I would never eat something that had seafood image. That know that I would swell up as for Blake honestly. I'm not sure what he'll be back but I think he should sit for a bit longer even if he is good enough to go quote quote unquote because he's looked really really like a shell of himself most of the season and I don't want to. I'd rather him come back on a percent health and then come back eighty percent and then get hurt again. A and B. pushed even further back like we. The business want to try to make the playoffs. That's not gonNA be the way to do it. Don't keep rushing him back and hoping that you know it doesn't it doesn't break down. 'cause he's nearing into his NBA career so the Pistons are next action on Wednesday when they host the Toronto Raptors the defending NBA Championship AH NBA champions. Excuse me Fletcher. Let's shift gears to soccer Detroit to the FCC. Last week announced new head coach for its Women's team which kicks offs play in the spring. Sample rain is the new head coach. What do we know about him? Pleasure Salvatore Sam Perrin. I know him the women's soccer but when Michigan Stars I went from being. FC Sparta Michigan. I I wonder spartans. F C than the became part of Michigan again than the became Michigan Stars. F C neither Michigan's SC. But when I made the name change they hired him as a coach and they're trying to Redo everything saying he used to work with Dearborn Stars. Which one of the more prolific Michigan Premier Soccer League sides actually made it to the US Open Cup proper second around which means since they're not a part of National League? They qualified all the way from the regionals so they played I think a total of eight games TMZ that eight or seven games that tournament just to make it to the proper round. They lost to the Dayton Dutch lions which also used to feature a Michigan Blair jodel ass from the upper part of Michigan but ease really good tactical coach. Nothing super special but I do know. After his first season with Michigan Stars he walked away away from program. Because he's like I want nothing to do with this program so he knows right from wrong he understands how to properly run an organization. It's not going to work. He would not be a part of it so the fact that Detroit city finally brought him in let me know that at least he has his head on straight tactically. I'm not sure how how he's going to fare in the women's League I do know that lansing as of late has kind of run the women's League so if you really want to go to the championship to the regional finals it goes was through lansing. I feel like he has had to do that if he wants to try to. To take them to that level how the Supporters reacted to hiring. Pretty good. Normally people hear about people being a part of other teams in the league kind of grumble but once they become part of the trade city they all. That's forgiven. There are plenty of players for example who played for stars played for in Arbor Cornell like fan favorites so yeah hearing that He. He's coming from the stars even after a break to come to Detroit. People are like we can look past so years before as long as you deliver for us now and should mention d. CFC will be conducting tryouts for the new women's team in January also last week week. Staying on Detroit's City F C. US Soccer the National Governing Board for the sport approved DC and the Michigan Stars To play A professionally in the national independence soccer association or Lisa. Anything jump out at you about that. Fletcher it validates that they're officially a professional final team. Now on this last year they kind of were professional quote unquote. They were planning a professional schedule. They're using some freshmen players. But they eight. We're not really a part of the professional lead but now now they've been officially added Denisa officially validated by the US neither officially in fractional ranks. Thanks Detroit City and the stars and analogous season professional soccer professional outdoor soccer games in the state of Michigan which is really good to see and and finally going from Michigan's best sporting team franchise professional sports team franchise to its worst. There's a rumor floating around around that Amazon. CEO Jeff bezos will be binding the Detroit Lions in sometime in twenty twenty since we Plan this uncalled Fletcher. We just got news that from the Lions Organization that they're bringing back. Gm Bob Quinn and head coach Matt Patricia for yet another year of Futility what What do you make this? Jeff bezos rumor though the forge won't sell you'll have to literally wait for all the fords to die before they sell but if they they were to sell to Jeff Bezos who as in immense amount of money to off to ask for. I feel like it's a chance for the lions maybe to be moved from Detroit Troy and the reason why I think that is had 'em at Amazon. Come to Detroit and actually stayed in Detroit in some. It was built here for them for you. Believe like Yup aright. He has a reason to be here but because he tried to get on here in Detroit very much push back and we're like great. He's not here. You might just penalties be petty and so you you know what that's cool. I'M GONNA come here for a year and I don't look for someone else. Take this team and honestly safely die. Hard like lions fans. I don't really see who would be bothered so much Thera people who've been clamoring for like we get the lines to stop playing Thanksgiving like they played for Thanksgiving forever. That's like a staple of thanksgiving. I giving a tradition gets Turkey. Gets a macaroni and cheese. Get some Greens Watson Line potentially get blown out there. People are willing to give up bat tradition bear. I guess they don't really want the team here. If that's the case like Jeff be just be. It would be the person to do that because he had enough money to buy them as twenty eight them somewhere and his enough. Yeah I guess persuading the actually get people to want. Listen to him about a stadium idea. I don't know But I don't even happening so I don't see the Ford selling I think before afford unikely lions until like. NFL stops being all right Fletcher. Sharp is our sports correspondent. You can find him at tell us. Detroit Roy Dot Com Fletcher. Thanks so much as always patriot. Okay I've got a pop up 'cause bold take man like people we want. Jeff Bezos to save us and then all of a sudden flashes like Yeah J. Jeff Bass Oh by the team and then just move it away. That's ice cold ice cold. Well I mean he could do that or he could buy by the team. I mean this is all assuming he does it. He could buy the team and do.

"We want to hear from you. You're encouraged to Email extratime MLS soccer dot com for tweet at extratime radio. With me comments questions orients. Hey, this is Schmidt. And you're listening to extra time radio. Never back on extratime radio. That was not David Goss reenacting those Marley Mondays than he was just telling me about in in Boston. And so that little island feel you know, it's sleeting and snowing and everything else throughout this country. Well, we hope that puts you in a good mood that you relaxing somewhere on this thanksgiving weekend, listening to us extratime radio. Siriusxm channel ninety four and MLS soccer dot com. We're down to our last segment here the mail beg. But before we get to the mail bag and the and the questions and David you'll you'll you'll take us through that. Just let's get through some news notes from the from MLS world real quick, we have GE graduates players who graduated from the generation of this class, which is even bigger this year because now they're no longer covered in the expansion draft protected. Correct. So if teams want to keep David Bingham of San Jose, cocoon Amano Marcel gotta with Vancouver and Erica Valetta. Of seattle. If those teams that I mentioned one to keep their players. They have to protect them as you mentioned head of the expansion draft award season is well underway. Chad Marshall, as we mentioned defender of the year the other big one so far AT and T rookie of the years Tetiaroa can deli. We had human immolates works of the year. AJ dela Garza for his work and Michael parkers Philadelphia union. They're the XBox fair play award winners. Then we had Columbus Crew announcing that they have changed their USO affiliate. They're gonna go with the Austin Aztecs as opposed to the Dayton Dutch lions. And Gregg Berhalter says the reason is you look at the operating budget the philosophy the aspirations of that ownership group in Austin, it's fits pretty well with ours. And he wants the players to be in an environment where they're expected to perform expected to compete for championship. So it's also a team with a little bit of pedigree, which you can't always say for a brand new team. But it's the, you know. Reinvigoration of the former Austin aspects club in similarities a lot of people feel between those two cities and those two clubs in the concepts. And a lot of people are excited about that connection. So interesting Columbus would go out of Ohio way from Dayton and happy to go out and Austin to Austin teams have been making moves this week with the options that are that are usually up around this time, Colorado say goodbye, Edson Buttle, Marvell Wynne, and Danny Milonga who only four years ago was the first pick in the super draft Kansas City. They let go of their two goalkeepers the first insect can go keepers. They're on the lookout for for keepers, Chromebook Gandhi. Grynbaum and Peter Vermes has basically it was because of injuries Chromebook didn't perform and what hurts here's this Chromebook nine seasons with Kansas City. And this is what Peter for me said the almost respect for the guy. I just think this isn't the place for him whatever he's going to do. I think he needs a clean slate, and it's not going to be here after nine seasons. This isn't the place for him. I think last year was his. Shot and he wasn't able to take advantage of it. And I expect them to go in the Steve Clarke tally hall style. Finding an American goalkeeper overseas who could come in and do a job Houston. They keep Alex. Lopez and Germain Taylor, Moore comings and injured driver up, but the big news with the dynamo Giovanni seventy say who's the coach of the New York cosmos, former MetroStars legend in MLS, he declines the opportunity to pursue the dynamo head coaching position as we understand now maybe down to five candidates because he's quote, happy in New York. According to Chris Kennedy of the Houston dynamo. I don't know if it was me, and I'm running dynamo. I would I would deny that's very say ever inquired about the it was interesting that they mentioned it. But I think the one thing is he has more control there in terms of being technical director and coach rather than just being head coach Caribbean combine happening January second to fifth in Puerto Rico. We'll see if any molesters come out of that. Montreal impact. Get a new technical director atom bras, who's from Montreal former player on the disciplinary front. Sebastian Fernendez gets another two games on top of the two. He already had. So he'll be out for the first. Four matches of the season. Remember, he bumped more Geiger at the end of that Western Conference knock round match. And there was Robbie Rogers release the book pass to get in our book club list. It's his memoir called coming out to which we do have to get back to unfortunately, round an MLS playoffs hiatus of sorts, but we will get back to it. We promise New York City of see unveiled their away jersey a lot a lot going on so much for quiet thanksgiving week. And then. Stadium. There's some developments their past the first two initial votes. Exciting. Now, it's going to be on the full Jin city council, December second December sixteenth. Those of your next key dates to watch in that in that quest. And then a little thing that I think is going to interest people EA sports out some stats about the fee fifteen game. And it's fascinating David thirty four percent of players became pro soccer fans after playing the video game. I think I think we can all feel that it's definitely a gateway in in the US right now. And especially for the community that becomes soccer fans. This year one hundred twenty hundred twelve percent increase in the number of people playing with them unless clubs which is significant top five most clubs that people play with what do you think actually probably saw the graphic New York LA Seattle's of the first three but not in that order, Casey and Portland, Chicago and DC go and the top goalscorer Clint Dempsey. A ton nine point six million goals. Here's a great goal score. So the questions we go and now the mail bag. I really questions comments. We have Bryan Abernathy in Charlotte. And he was just telling us as usual listening t- TR in the car while he's driving. We've now now we're on Lipson and our feeds coming in hopefully, better more convenient. And he mentioned that after few minutes of mindless joining from Simon the gasman comes out of nowhere with an objection shock, and I almost went off the road. Whatever new system, you've got makes it feel like you guys are in the car with me and David scared me when the driver site speaker suddenly erupted so throughout your thanksgiving weekend. Please watch out and be careful when driving and Lou hands to hands on this on the wheel as you're listening to extra time when you're listening to Simon sensationalist baloney is what he what he called really. And then we hope forget it. And then we have a comment from Mike STO who me and him. Enjoy interacting on Twitter quite a lot a Mexico fan. And he says that you're harsh. Mexican players. And Emily's you always under sell them when players like Gonzala, Pinedo and Kubo. Why do you hate Kubo open? A technically gifted I think he's too slow for the style. And yet he wasn't shooting this season with Ozzie Alonso. Basically did all the work for when he basically had the opinion is great coupon. Toda's I think he's a goal score. But I think he's he's limited. He's style of player where he's going to be a poacher type. And you know, he doesn't have the extra speed. He doesn't he's needs to be in the box on the right team. He can be great. But how many how many teams that we talk about where we say? That's the one thing they're missing because it's the hardest thing to find. And you look at what BWI has done for the red bulls. You think he could be a similar player to be WB fair enough? I agree. But if you told me if I had my pick I try to get the guy who's stronger than everyone in fashion, everyone better in the air than everyone at the guys who are great goal scores. You have there have that it factor. But they're just I don't know. It's more. If we'll see I think we're in different camps on him. I think he's a special player. We'll have more debates for sure when it comes to MLS Cup. We're going to find out those two teams that will be in the final on December seventh. We'll be previewing that on Monday, the next edition of extratime radio. That's when we'll hear you'll hear us next. In the meantime, hope you hope you have a great thanksgiving weekend for David Goss. I'm Simon board. You listening to extratime radio. Siriusxm channel ninety four and molest soccer dot com.
