Donald Trump Confirms Big Announcement Coming on Nov. 15

"I watched his speech last night in Dayton, Ohio. There's a lot of really weird cosmic universe stuff happening with this election and with Trump. They were all convinced he was going to make a big announcement last night. And while he made an announcement, the announcement he made in Dayton, Ohio, actually specifically vandalia, Ohio, the announcement he made was that he's going to make an announcement a week from today. So there is an announcement about an announcement. But you know what he did that was pretty smart. And shocking to Trump watchers who think he has no discipline, he was very disciplined. He said, I'm not going to detract from the midterm election. And because he's going to run, he's going to announce that he's going to run. I don't think there's any question in anybody's mind. And you know what I got after watching his speech last night? A sense of familiarity, a warm feeling of remembering what it was like when he was the commander in chief.

Women race political clock, cross state lines for abortions

"As state policies on abortion become more restrictive one patient shared her story with The Associated Press If I can help someone else with my story then I really hope it does help When Monica eberhart a mother of three from Columbus Ohio learned she was pregnant again She had to travel across state lines to get an abortion navigating a patchwork of laws enacted since roe versus wade was overturned I absolutely can not afford another baby whether that be financial Or mentally Ohio has banned abortions once fetal activity is detected around 6 weeks Doctor Katie McHugh with the women's med clinic in Dayton says they have been referring hundreds of patients like everhart to their sister facility in Indianapolis 120 miles away There's a sense of desperation and a sense of they feel so lucky that they got in just under the wire but what about all of the other people Indiana lawmakers recently approved a ban on almost all abortions that will take effect on September 15th staff say they'll help as many women as they can until then I'm Jennifer King

Moving From Action to Administration With LTG Jerry Boykin

"You as a man of action. I mean, you're just a gregarious guy. You love big, you talk, you're there. You want to be an action. That's what about you the force to start with. When you started moving toward the more administrative roles, how did that for someone like you how did that make was that different? Was that almost a more difficult challenge? Oh, yeah. I mean, it always is, especially when you're sent from being on the front lines with the Delta force up to The Pentagon. You know, that's like being thrown off to San Francisco bridge or something. But you know what, what was good about that was, I. Actually was only only the staff therefore a little while, and I got sent over to the CIA. So I spent a couple of years at CIA running covert actions there to CIA. And so it kind of put me back in the fight, so to speak, and that was a great assignment. And I got to tell you, don't ever say anything bad about CIA around me, because they are, they have some of the finest professionals in the government. And then when I came back for my second tour at The Pentagon, I wound up going over to the Balkans running a task force there to capture war criminals, remember after the Dayton accords, there had been an agreement that all of the war and factions would turn in the people that were identified as war criminals, but they didn't do it. So I was running a task force out of Sarajevo that was capturing war criminals and that was that was a great assignment. I mean, I really enjoyed that. And then I left that job after about a year and came back to take over all the green berets, but I got to tell you, I just kept getting put back into those positions where I could feel like I was still part of the game.

Auto Parts Store Employee Shoots Customer After Being Attacked

"It feels like all weekend I saw videos of violent violent activity in stores in shops in bodegas in restaurants and fast food joints, people are assaulting and attacking clerks going behind the counter in some cases, it's not working out so well. For the criminals who are assaulting the store clerks, in fact, two examples, one of them in Dayton, Ohio, my old hometown, where there was a woman who attacked a worker at an O'Reilly auto parts store. And the woman just started beating the clerk from behind the counter. She pulls her out into the area, starts, I mean, she beat the snot out of her. Well, the woman who was getting beat retreats behind the counter pulls out a gun and shoots her. So one minute, one minute, the woman is beating her, you got to see this video. I will hold on Yuri before. We'll play it here in just a moment. I want to get to it. But after the woman who was doing the beating gets shot, now she's laying their bloody saying, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. And the clerk with the gun is saying you're sorry? You're sorry. Still kicking her.

Becoming a Radio 'Talkmaster' in 1978

"But now the mailroom that was right up my alley. And I worked for a guy named Grady who loved talk radio in the local talk radio station. And so I fell in love with talk radio listening to folks like Brad clay and bob queso and all these great great colorful provocative talk show hosts. This is way before talk radio exploded the way it has around the country. And I decided to try to take a tour of the radio station to see what it looked like. And I got in my beat up pale blue Volkswagen bug and drove over to Cincinnati's street over in Dayton near the university of Dayton arena. And got a tour of the radio station and I saw a memo on the bulletin board that said, we're still looking for that young talk master. That was what they called talk show host back in those rather pretentious times. And I thought, well, I can do that. I could talk. So I knocked on the program director's door and I said, I can do it. I can go on. Give me a shot. And he said, well, kid, the guy who's on the air tonight has the flu, I'm supposed to cover for him, but I don't really want you. Why don't you go on and go on air? Now I think 17 and a half years old, scared to death. And I started ranting and raving. I didn't just say I was pro life. I said, their baby killers. Fry them. I'm pro capital punishment. Fry the bait. I mean, I didn't know what I was doing. I'm yelling and ranting and raving. And they hired me. The next day, they said, you got a job. And I became a talk show host in 1978. What are we now? 40 four years later. And I'm still a big mouth on the radio, probably not much more sophisticated than those

"Mike gibbons, it's you again. We're on right now in every major market in Ohio, from, of course, Cleveland and Columbus and Cincinnati, including Youngstown and Dayton and Toledo. And I even include Toledo in the Ohio market because even though they're in Michigan fans there, they're still part of the state. Where are you strongest in the state? Is it Cleveland? Is it northeastern Ohio? Just there's got to be a place where you're doing better than others. Well, the last poll we had, we are ahead in every major metropolitan area. And we're actually in the field right now. We should know something more later today. But to be honest, we were ahead in every major metropolitan area. But the race is tightened up. And we expect to tighten up. I have being attacked from every quarter and I first started this year, I said, you know, we seem to get a pretty good response when I'm out there talking to voters. How come we're not doing better in the polls? And they go, Mike, you don't want to be first to the polls. Well, now I understand why.

The bengals start this sunday against me to sold out and we'll talk a little bit more about that later on but first let's head to high school football scores for week three but first a little tidbit of news. The eastern cincinnati conference recently decided to go to a one non conference schedule meaning. They'll be nine conference games and there's ten schools so everyone's gotta play each other which you know if you think about it you look at the negatives and you know maybe you wanted to schedule a tougher. Non conference slate to get some points and maintain a playoff spot. Which i get that but then again the. Sec is pretty jam-packed whitten woods turpin kings. And there. I think you know nine conference games. That's a great idea that for everyone has to play each other at least once so you can expect that next year not this year. We haven't fully hit into conference slate but there are a few games. Volleying some leagues. But we're going to start with the non-conference tilts. I followed up with a thursday night affair metal. Dale had a forty to nothing lead against hillcrest at welcome stadium. And that's how the line one forty to nothing over hillcrest in a game that was supposed to be a gmc opener for princeton at home. Turn out to be in a way non-conference till that dublin coffman and dublin kaufman not allowing the visiting broadcasters. That would be me to make the trip. The vikings scored thirty four and answer points to close a half and take it from dublin. Coffman forty forty fourteen. The host shamrock scored the first and last touchdowns of the game but princeton route off. Forty four points in between to go to three. You know elsewhere. Ross defeated value coming from behind. Twenty one seventeen waynesville rolls over bland. Chester forty two thirteen monroe. The History of US Presidential Transportation

"First us president of any sort to fly in an airplane was theodore roosevelt. It was rather short flight as airplanes at the time didn't have a very long range and it was probably one of the more dangerous. Flights ever attempted by president sitting or former come over after this short sightseeing flight. Us presidents didn't do any flying. It would be another thirty three years before an actual sitting. Us president would get on an airplane. The first airplane designated for presidential use was purchased in nineteen thirty three it was a douglas dolphin amphibious aircraft and it was operated by the us navy as there was no air force at the time. The co name. It was given was r d two. It could seat four passengers and there was a small sleeping compartment. The interior was custom made for presidential use with leather seats. It was stationed at the anacostia naval airbase in washington. Dc until nineteen thirty nine and during that time it was never once used by the president to be fair. Fdr was in a wheelchair and getting in and out of an airplane especially a small amphibious plane was probably something that he wasn't keen to do however he did eventually take a flight the very first airplane flight by a sitting. Us president took place on january. Eleventh nineteen forty-three when franklin roosevelt flew on. The dixie clipper was a commercial boeing. Three fourteen clipper which was operated by pan. Am he flew fifty five hundred miles to the casablanca conference in morocco to meet with winston churchill and charles de gaulle. The flight was done in three stages any flu rather than took a ship because it was considered safer than risking german u boats in the atlantic after the trip the army air force didn't want to rely on commercial airlines for presidential transportation. They proposed the president. Use a modified. C eighty seven liberator express heavy bomber. The plane was dubbed the guess where to when the secret service reviewed the safety record of the plane. They rejected it. For presidential use. The plane was used for carrying the first lady. Eleanor roosevelt however on a trip to latin america. But it never carried the president. The secret service then approved a douglas. C fifty four skymaster which was a transport plane used in the war. It was named the sacred cow ended. Had sleeping quarters are radiotelephone and a lift for getting roosevelt in and out of the plane in his wheelchair. The only time you used it was to travel to the yalta conference in february of nineteen forty five. This plane is on display at the museum. At the wright patterson air force base outside dayton

"Still don't know how you jump that quick from non scholarship football remember. Dayton does plan d. one but non scholarship football. I don't know how you make that huge of a jump. I don't see dayton dropping down from the atlantic ten. So i think the sites would be big east or bust laws. The goodness it would take a lot of moving pieces in the right direction. But again i don't see dayton moving to f. b. s. football. It's a great program though even though you know again non scholarship but really was that matter lau to the players have matters 'cause they don't get athletic scholarship money. I think they get academic money but they got so question to what do you think. The chances are building a new football stadium and the old fairgrounds be nice. Spot spotted the corner of stewart and forty eight. But i don't know if. I see that happening either. I mean think about parking being parking is kind of a tight around there. I mean it'd be nice to see. But i think the chances are slim to none on that question three. Do you think the dutch lions program or another club will go pro again. Dayton dutch lions. There was that spell where they were in the us l. pro which is now us l. I don't see it happening. The dutch lines. I mean things can change. If there is an upswing and everything i like to see more people check out the dutch lions because you know it is good soccer product. It's a local soccer product. I mean men's and women's are represented women season not too bad this year men season. It was rough but now they played through. So that's the big thing honest-to-goodness. I don't see the dutch lines trying to go. Pro dow will be dating pro soccer team ever again. Never say never but where. You're gonna play if you go in a league that's asking you know pro stadium or bust or you building it and yes you're going to have to build it because i mean the finest fields around here are high school fields. I mean you could make the argument play. Welcome stadium well. Are you going to be able to sell out. Welcome stadium and you're going to be. And i had something. That's kind of an ace up my sleeve. Which is i had a really good mentor. And where i worked. Which was actually at the city of the in. The commission office with commissioners in the mayor had a great mentor. Who wasn't even in that office. But she sent me this thing on twitter and said have you seen that they did down in florida. We should do something. Like that. Here in dayton and you should lead it and it was that little. Push that little nudge from women that i really respect that kind of just gave me the the go ahead that i needed to go and interest to the larger community before you set out and started actually implementing. What was your idea and your head of what you could achieve with the table. So it's funny. Because i actually have the document. I have my speech. That i gave to the the the room and i can remember walking onstage and just like i don't know if they don't they don't go for it it doesn't happen but in my speech specifically say something along the lines of like. I don't care how we do this like you guys decide. I just think we should do it. And i've kind of always held that belief like it's not really for me to decide like anything on this project like. I'm just a doer. And i like see a goal and

"Twenty twenty one twenty two will range from three hundred dollars to thirteen hundred depending on what these schools carry so those sports ohio high school. Carry your charge that money. So you know you you start to think about. I mean the smaller schools have less sports. So it's not going to hurt on them. i mean. Let's take my twin valley south panthers in west alexandria so the panthers kerry football soccer volleyball boys and girls basketball wrestling trying to think of it from getting anything track baseball softball and i don't think they carry tennis. So there you go. I may sports. I route off. That's fifty per so for the smaller schools. Don't have that many sports. You know it's it's up. It's not going to be that you know that pricey whereas if you carry a lot you're going to be a lot more but then again you have more students therefore you have more money coming in so it makes sense if you think about it. I mean you're not guaranteed a playoff spot. I mean all but football. You are which that's awesome news. We talk about soon for all sports except football. You're guaranteed to go to the postseason. Depends how are you go type of thing. The dues will be renewed annually by a finance committee. The oi just say and any modifications will be recommended to the board by the executive director in the future. Dues will not hit over one hundred bucks per sport. So that'll be the most right now. It's fifty bucks. So what does this mean. Instead of charging during playoffs well member schools will no longer pay for a tournament. Entry fees bowling linux fees gulf green fees wrestling white management fees. The membership do is all inclusive. Meaning you carry the sport you pay it. So students scholarships will be reinstated for next year..

"In fact. You have a lotta pitchers that threw shutouts at martos. Salazar has the lone win for the one of two starters. He went five innings last night. gave up. both hits walked three struck out three his era ads zero his average against them one twenty five although that fifth any he did start to get a little bit trouble most results were flyouts and he gave out the double but nothing happened now. That that's a dragons one for nothing carson lindell who is in the bullpen. He gave up two earned runs and one and a third. Try to remember. Lyndale came into close the first game or if he was the first pitcher to give up runs i believe he was the first pitcher j gilbert went in any he gave up two run home run and walked one struck out to lyndale walked three and your highest batting average against dragons pitching thus far to fifty and lindell and gilbert so far. It's been nice eddie. Demaria's came in for a third of an inning walk to struck out one. Jc keys to and a third one hits one win. He took the win. An opening night francis bill garo one game one inning. One walk one k. Jacques punt shoe one game. Two innings three walks five k. So again two games in the dragons. Have all i gave up those four runs to great lakes and the first game. Shut him out on our two header last night and now facing the loons again. There's not a lot to talk about two games. But what i can tell you is this looks to be a pretty dynamic team means so far the hitting has done its job. So far. the pitching's done its job. Just four runs in two games. I think if you're a baseball pitching coach or manager. You'll take that in a heartbeat and all four. Those runs came off actually. I'm not sure. I think most of them came off home runs. I know gilbert's two run home run dead but not entirely sure on lyndale. I know there was a home run. Hit but so far hits. It's a great start. This is a team that you know should do. Well why did it take me a triple a. east. I don't care about that. Take me the highway central eventually. What a load. So again the series continues. Dayton can clinch a split now worse than split tonight. If they win. I also did find out that from the broadcast yesterday on radio. Which by the way if you don't have hd radio..

lindell lyndale Lyndale two games gilbert fifth Jacques yesterday fifty carson lindell j gilbert eddie tonight first pitcher Demaria five k. first game francis bill garo one k. one

"I believe the saturday games on tv. Not sure about. Friday sunday's game will be on tv at two. Oh five against the lug nuts and then it's off to south bend for six so far so good for the dragons. This team seems like it can compete very well as high as high a central man. I miss the mid west league name. High central's too stupid. Just you know. it's not. It's not a league name. It's just this is where you are. So let's look at the stats for the dayton dragons. Two games in. Nl two games. And that's not a lot to talk about but so far early empreseas evans. Second baseman quincy mcafee. He's only hitting five hundred. On the season he's got three hits six at-bats two runs scored. Four rb is a home run. He's been watt three times struck out. Once that's very promising eric yang the catcher. He's batting three seventy five. Victor rubies three thirty three. Quinn cotton is three seventy five three of eight four three. Rbi's and you have jacob hurtubise. Who is the fastest player and the red system. He's got wheels. And i can't see that blistering speed at deir ballpark. The left fielder batting one sixty seven have or his on. Base percentage is at five hundred. He has been walked four times. He struck out three times and he's two for two and has stolen base department. The dragons are three of five and that whole category as a team they tell the first basement to fifty michael yani who has yet to play the outfield. He has been the d. h. both games. he's hitting three hundred with five strikeouts to rbi's and miguel hernandez has started the season. Oh for nine so a little bit rough start for the shortstop but so far so good. Those are pretty nice numbers there now. Can i get everyone involved all players. That'd be great brian ray. In his first game he only went two for four with that three run home run. Didn't strike out a single time you also have burial bautista. Who got the start of right field. He went one for three in the opening night game. That's the only dragons played this far. Stand the lineup. Thus far as now look at pitching side again like i mentioned. This is a dragon steam. That's played a grand total of two games. So let's pull up that era. There are two with high year as and again. It's based on how many are runs. You give up per nine innings. So that's why it's not. Oh my god these guys suck no. It's because they haven't reached nine innings. Not close yet so i mentioned lion. Richardson got the start went. Three innings walked three struck out.

"To the table sticking with the cincinnati bengals. It's time to talk about the new stripes so before the new jersey's were introduced about a couple of weeks ago. The bengals have worn those same jerseys since two thousand four with the color rush coming in two thousand sixteen. I believe so. These new jersey's are out and they've been out for a while and i've been meaning to talk about them but i haven't but it's time to talk about that now. This is from fox. Nineteen and cincinnati w. x. i. x from jared golfing it. It's the dawning of a new era and since bengals history and the new looks were introduced. April nineteenth it's been a while which Yeah sorry about that. Did like the video. They introduced so tell you a little bit about it and it was in an old parking garage. I believe and it was made by cincinnati company with the bengals and chad johnson involved which was really cool nece- and personally i like him. I really liked. The new looks that it is simpler. It is cleaner. There's not as much going on on the sides and around the caller this is a clean. Look there's some people that far mentioned it's boring but i like it. I think it represents a new age in cincinnati bengals football one of the new touches. I really like is not seen on television. It is the paul brown inside the neckline. I think some really really nice touch. There are stripes now tiger stripes on the shoulders. It's not like the old jerseys. I really wanted the bengals to reintroduce the you know the ones they wore. The super bowl runs in the eighties. I like those a lot. But i like these to the details released by bengals on twitter. Look like this. The name has removed stroke from the name. Plate mentioned paul brown signature inside the jersey. There's new pant designs there's a tiger stripes on the side of the pants. Bangles are on front of the jersey instead of the be logo. Which lot of people don't like that logo myself included. But i forget who made the comment that there is no over team in america using that logo. So that's why the bengals use it. So fair enough. I guess because there are teams that use the bengals the bengals face and i think there's teams are the jumping bangel from the ninety s as well trying to think five. Remember them off top my head and i really don't but trust me. There are the stripe pattern redesign on the shoulders and simplified. It's just one color. The ridge numbers a new font. It's still got the rounded. Look which. I'm not a big fan of i liked the old school block numbers and letters. But that's just me. These are fine and on most of the ends of the numbers..

"Getting more picks in the third. Excuse me the four frown and moving down. Ten picks picks and with the second round. Pick the forty-six pick overall. It is the former fairfield indian and the former clemson tiger jackson carmen offensive. Tackle coming aboard. So yes it was true the bengals. They went after the big wide receiver in the draft. Which again i'm fine with. And then they pick jackson carmen. So again farmer fairfield indian and on the twitter graphic used by the bengals. It's twenty three miles from fairfield. Ohio to paul brown stadium which i never would have guessed that far but hey silvo being a local kid get into play for his local. Nfl team now. I know that doesn't automatically equals super bowl. Success doesn't even equal regular season success. I know that. And the reason why i bring it up because it's a nice point. It's a nice local sports. Point which know. Cincinnati radio is covered. I mean again. Cincinnati sports radio. I think head and shoulders above dayton sports radio but then again when you have the one show and most of it's about that school in columbus. Yeah so that's my take on it. You can have different. Take you control me on that. But not gonna change my opinion. So jackson carmen. The offense tackle taken in the forty six pick. I like that pick because a lot of the picks of the bengals. We're thinking about the offensive line. We're taken including alex would was taken by the raiders. The very first pick so which. A lot of people are really raiders of all these things you need. You pick the offense lineman. I but you know raiders. Don't care what you think that's always been out davis's strategy. He doesn't care what you think. Does things as the third round pick number sixty nine. Insert your nice comments here. It is joseph osei defensive end. From the texas longhorns which i like that i mean his athleticism should be a really nice touch. Other defense event the fourth round there are three picks for cincinnati and the first one is defensive. Ed from two lane cameron sample. That's the one hundred eleventh. Pick eleven picks later the bengals go for. Lsu's defensive tackle tyler shelving and this is from the cardinals through houston and new england and pick number one thirty nine. So this is seventeen. Picks from tyler shelving the offensive tackle from east carolina dante smith round five. Pick one forty nine. The bengals get the replacement for randy. Bullock and kicker evan mcpherson who is shown on a social media video on twitter kicking a cap off a bottle on the goalposts which hopefully it means accuracy. It's a great thing route. Six two picks for the bengals pick number one ninety s center trae hill from georgia. Which would be nice. Because cincinnati recently declined. Billy prices contract extension meeting after this year. He's out of there unless the bengals have a change of heart. I don't see that happening. But billy price will most likely not be a bangle in two thousand twenty two so trey hale will come in..

"I have decided to talk like this for all by episodes. Because why not do that anyway. Hello walkup jeff. So to twelve of the cincinnati dayton sports podcasts. The nfl draft sound effect is from the nfl. It's used under fair use and the cheering and booing was from free sound. So what give credit to their sound effects before i get ding forum freecell dot org and the nfl Figured why not start off the episode talking about the bengals. Twenty twenty one draft have little draft of my own and you know what hits completely accurate so let's go ahead and start talking about local since dayton ohio sports we'll start off with the bengals two thousand and twenty one draft now of course the draft is come and gone and depending on who you read. There's been varying grades of the draft. My over four prussian of it solid draft. I like the pigs of the bengals made. It took me a while for me to fully. Get on board with jim archie. Not because you know jomar chase is a table player. No he's quite the opposite he's got to be a wonderful wide receiver and i think it's something the bengals did need however you know. I really wanted police will. If you're being compared to anthony moon yose who's one of my favorite bengals players you being compared to him. You know i. I understand to watch jabbar. Chase brings to the table. I really do. And yes. the bengals did address the offensive line in the draft. But let's go through the entirety of the twenty twenty one cincinnati bengals. nfl draft. So have you remember last year. Twenty twenty draft the bengals pick joe burrow who started this season then went down against the washington football club there after the bengals had halftime lead once he left for good that season the bengals were never the same. I'm surprised we still beat the pittsburgh steelers which yeah that's still great does look like borough. We'll be back for week..

"Schnur on this bright state. Athletics part of the community guy. Sorry faculty the don't like sports. You can't really take that away from dayton wright state said. The athletic department serves as a front porch for the university exposing many student athletes to the campus. So let's say you're getting the right state off six seventy five and you go off nor fairfield exit you head towards the left. You had north towards campus. What's the first thing you see. That's right states. You might see that whitewater tower by forest lane. Sure you might see those buildings but more than likely. It's the nutter. Center the home of right state basketball. That's the first thing you see. You might see the mills morgan pavilion. Which is where the basketball team practices. But that's what you see. I if you come out the main way the nutter center. If that's not more of a front porch to write state. I don't know what is so there you go. The exposure university gets from athletics. A hanson's the schools brand recognition making degree more marketable beyond just the dayton area. Athletics acts as a major connection. Point between donors and other areas of the university individuals identified in our door. Donor management system as men's basketball season ticket holders have given fifty seven million dollars to write state much of that going to support students outside of athletics. So fifty seven million right states sends about ten million for athletics. Yeah you got forty seven million dollars a profit there and again much of that going to outside athletics to support the student athletes so right state has one hundred ninety four student athletes competing on a eleven teams which i thought there's only ten. There's men's and women's soccer volleyball women's basketball baseball track and field and golf. Men's golf think. that's the ten. Am i missing something. I don't think i am. The university's athletics program ran a deficit for thirteen of sixteen years between two thousand five and two thousand nineteen according to a review of athletic department budgets by usa today and twenty nineteen. The athletics budget was twelve point. Four million dollars. What still is in bad about one point. Nine million in revenue came from ticket sales donations and licensing revenues which i have stood up of rights day athletics for the longest time. That's one thing. If i could just tell the athletics department i want to see more right state gear in the area. Okay i wanna see right. State gear next to dayton flyers gear. There's no sense. Why i it's no sense that i have to go to the beaver creek. Meyer for right state gear and the kettering buyer doesn't have any least not the last time i checked. I mean this podcast has never been about taking away from the university of dayton. Great tradition great fans and. I never want to see that end. I've always been about why can't rights. They have a share of that pot. You know why does it continue to be. Where right state can't have that piece of the pie as well like i said. I don't wanna take any pie way from yuji again the histories there. The fan supports there. I never wanna take that away. Because i'm proud of what you d is done and i'm a proud employee of ud athletics. I just want more for right staff lakes as well. You know what i'm saying. That's that's my whole thing so but that might be another episode for another time.

"For dayton their senior day smashing win against saint louis. Which by the way you fall dayton nbc on twitter. You saw that. They shared a video of saint. Louis coach travis ford tumbling down a hill towards their baseball stadium. Okay first off if you're saint louis. Why are you uploading that video. Why are you doing that. I can't stop watching it. But it pops up when i look at dayton. Mb be on twitter. When it pops up. I just watched that video of ten minutes straight. Just like why did you upload this. I'm not saying dayton should have shared that no i i think that's fair game especially when you dismantle saint louis like that and and they're at large bid dreams. Why would you upload something like that. Sorry this is taking the pain away from listening the flyers get dismantle by a three and fourteen fifty four thirty eight of the half ninety seven eighty four in the game. So let's look at the standings now for dayton like i said twelve and eight overall eight seven league play and some of those losses salad six and ten saint joseph's two and nine and fordham to eleven. So yeah three of those losses. Come to teams at the bottom of the table. If the season were to end today dayton would be would that be one three four five six seventh seed in the tournament right now. You gotta tie for first saint bonaventure. Vcu guess for the flyers two next. If you said saint bonaventure no lean new york. You would be correct. That's scheduled for march the first so a monday game time to be determined according to this. So yeah how'd you come back from a loss like that to a team. That's been at the bottom at the table. And just that loss stung for me. I know it stung for flyer. Faithful out there. You don't have to tell me that and then you know carrying on local radio first time. I've heard local sports quite some time saying how dayton's a bad team and everything and it's like now it's inconsistency you know i wasn't expecting the same run that the flyers last year i wasn't but we're talking about losses at fordham at they gets lasalle at saint joseph's three teams at the bottom of the table..

"And now it's time to talk right state versus dayton. I know your immediate thought. Oh great this hacks going to talk about it. Why can't anyone just shut up about it. Well because it kind of is a big deal. Let me tell you. Between wright state and dayton it's about on a good day maybe fifteen minutes apart. I mean just separated by thirty five. I ac- think there's no reason why wright state in dayton shouldn't play in everything in fact i m pro you d and right state play in everything and you know what all announce broadcast anything with right stay dayton you can put a stitching team like knitting team together for right stay dayton. I'll broadcast that. You know right state dayton some great rivalries and their. Unfortunately there's a couple that can't be reintroduced this time right state having no softball team. That's out and i pray. That temporary caught but i don't know dayton never had swimming well. My time of falling sports statements never had swimming. Rights states had the program but right state naveh have swimming team. They haven't for a couple of seasons now. So what happened this past week earlier. day in fact right state needed a photo to face since youngstown state wasn't able to come in from northeast ohio. You know all that lovely winter snow and ice. Yes you can make fun of the meteorologist's that said oh we're going to do like twenty billion inches of snow but you know that's a tough job and you oddly can't do it then you know. Give them a little slack. The going off models that change constantly whether it's such a changing. Why am i talking about. Whether i'm sorry anyway. Right stay was supposed to take on youngstown state for two and that couldn't happen. So the raiders wanted an opponent and they got one the dayton flyers. Let me tell you about both these volleyball programs. We'll start with dayton the one team to beat in the atlantic ten really enough in the ten. Not every school has volleyball and fat. I think a little over half do and the rest. Don't it just feels like volleyball doesn't have all the teams involved in it. Which i always thought was weird but whatever yeah coach tim horsemen great guy and also great coach and the dayton flyers just absolute great volleyball program. There's history there and just strong now. We look at the wright state raiders before allie matters tenure started at w. s. couple years here and there were vice. They volleyball was tough but most of the years whereas with alli matters taking all of the program for the first time ever they won the horizon league regular season title last year and got an at large bid back in the playoffs. Which was the first time ever for rights did athletics corn to their social media. Team so yeah. It's an open up program whereas dayton's been strong for a long time now right states getting there so you have to strong programs collide and.

"Now however if you go to a school let's say miami's berg. North mont valley view twin valley south. It'd be nice if we see some hockey fans in west alexandria but who knows you go to a school. That doesn't have ice hockey. There's your option. Some of the differences are instead of going by la rolls. It goes by usa hockey roles which makes sense. I mean your high school students but you're not really playing with a high school team. You get what i'm saying. There i help you. Because that's as clear as i can kind of explain it but dayton stealth there in the ohio scholastic hockey league. You might remember that league being called the greater columbus high school hockey league that tons of letters. Now it's just the highest scholastic hockey league which i love the name g. h. s. c. h. l. dot net. The old league site now just called the o. S. h. l. which is a lot cleaner to say anyway. Going to the varsity side. Things the dayton steph where your top seed and i saw this dayton-style team once before against spring borough real deal. Coaching great players really good offensive attack us very balanced. It's a tough team to slow down and in fat. No one could slow. Down the dayton steph as dayton flies to the cbj cup varsity championship over the hilliard wildcats. Sixty two so congrats go out to dayton. The path the dayton took while they got a first round bye they took on the westerville wildcats war. Cats excuse me. The wildcats are hilliard. Which is different parv columbus anyway. Westerville war cats which i love the name yes three high schools westerville if you follow columbus high school sports but none of the three offer hockey therefore westerville. Has you know you've hockey program. You play in westerville. You could play with the war. Cats also really great color scheme to rag gold. And i think black my favorite color. They're your tastes my very anyway. Westerville defeated the northeast storm. Seventy two to move into the game against dayton and the war katz had little response against dayton's high flying offense it was dayton eleven westerville one on the other side hill. Your took down newark and the generals five to one again probably one of my favorite color schemes and just just all around naming the newark generals course newark. Outside columbus towards the east olive-green something jerseys had stencil like military stencil thoughts. But most new ones. Don't but i dig the name so they they did a nice job with identification there anyway. Hill knocks off newark five to one before newark off prowlers. Six to one believe ph. A is Pinton is at pickering or is it pickering. Can someone let me know on that. Anyway dayton one six two two against hilliard at the ice house to hoist. The cup means dayton scott. A brand new shiny trophy like i said seeing the stealth.

Seventy ucf five and one temple for one two lane four in three with houston east carolina three and four tulsa cincinnati. The bearcats are three and eight in the women's basketball side of things. What utah state. Oh and three memphis. Oh and thorin. Smu again who've had their season because of covid they finished. Oh and two and wrap up the college basketball. Look men's basketball. In the american and the standings favorite houston six and one which is all states foreign one tulsa five and to smu three into ucf. That south florida three and three memphis to into temple two and three east carolina one in three two lane. Ucf and cincinnati at the bottom of the conference all with one in four records and the bearcats are three and seven so so far those six local teams. I have say rights states probably having the best those division one foes dayton women having a good start to year but again kovic slow them down for two weeks and four games. Postponed dayton. Men's are starting to get back into the rhythm of things and they picked up a nice win against duquesne at home. miami. It's been a tough year and oxford for both sides. You have xavier. Men's basketball off really hot and non conference play two losses in conference play. Knock him down a little bit but still good year for xavier Cincinnati yeah the. You've it's gonna take some time to gel and now ocoee. I told you we'd be covering hockey in this this episode now. I haven't been broadcasting hockey for a few weeks now and yes. "We pull up and see that. The red hawks yet to play a conference game but they're three and three overall and the last game that the redhawks played you have to go back to december nineteenth. So yes a little. Bit of rust for the hawks. They fell in a close at bradley. Sixty nine hundred sixty eight and the game against the university at buffalo at millette hall isn't in the conference record. So i guess yeah. They are on the schedule again. Ninety two sixty two bulls won it easily at millette. So apparently that does not count in the mac record and also some games got shuffled around the non conference games against defiance college which is a non d. one foe northwest ohio and bellarmine university. A brand new division one foe from louisville. Those games are cancelled. Won't be made up the conference games against ohio. Bowling green and at central michigan are postponed. Meaning they will try to make those up. No professo- in fact. The red hawks will face the bob cats. It'll be at athens. Ohio however on january twelfth next game is listed for january ninth one against northern illinois. And now we had to the dayton flyers. I got my first look of the women's basketball team this year. I run official replay. I should talk a little bit about that as yeah normally i sit towards the the visiting bedside but this year. It's a little different out now towards e flyers bench. Which i mean for me. I mean i'm still on the court so it's not like it's a big change. Sub slopping sides woo. Let's talk about for an hour. Yes let's but yeah so where we don't walk in the tunnel anymore. We go in the west concourse to get down to the press row. Which is i know kovin. I know the changes. I'm complaining about the changes. It's just it's weird to see how sports have evolved to get a chance to play with. The coronavirus is all. i'm saying. So the flyers women's team had a lot of games cancelled and my first one watching the flyers. Was the ten opener against saint bonaventure. A game of the flyers. One fifty six forty seven and then the duquesne game was on. Cbs sports network and the flyers one at sixty four forty eight. That was a game where i thought the fliers played better than against saint bonaventure. I really thought that you did a great job. You know slowing down duquesne and just frustrating them getting physical in there. I've thought the fliers played well against duquesne and also in that broadcast which with officials replay. If there's a national broadcast going on. I get that feed. And i get to see by the broadcasters are talking about. Apparently duquesne hasn't had a home in pittsburgh like a permanent home since they remodeled. I thought they were supposed to reopen that but probably kovin through renton that so we'll blame. Covert on that. What's next for the women flyers. Well a trip to georges friday. We'll be at george mason. That's in fairfax virginia. And then sunday..
