Robyn Pfaffman: Abrupt Events Surrounding Potential Trump Indictment

"Happening in New York. It's something's going on. They canceled the grand jury for the day. There's a lot of rumblings that things are taking a very bad turn for the DA and nobody really knows what's going on. What do you make of all this? Well, it's interesting. So Alvin Bragg, out of the blue, suddenly the indictment is on ice. Can you imagine the faces of the managers at the mainstream media in the newsroom when they learned this was in the last couple of hours that, oh, nothing's happening today. It's on ice again. We told all the grandeurs to sit down at home and not to come in. I mean, the faces on the managers of the libs that run the country's newsrooms. I could just literally see their faces because all they want to do is get Trump, get Trump, get Trump, you know, it almost reminds me Todd of like, remember back in the day like the hostage crisis, day one, day two, you know, Ted Koppel and nightline, day three is Trump going to be arrested in handcuffs. And it's interesting to me because I think Todd, you know, just off the top of my mind is I say to you all the time and to your audience, they don't understand Trump. This guy is in his late 70s. What is the 76, 78 somewhere in there? Trump has zero to lose. He's a millionaire. He's had his three wives is 5 kids, lost count on the grandkids. I think at last count there's ten. And then, you know, so it's like arrest me. I dare you. Just do it. And he's, you know, kind of called their bluff. I think he's just put a pin in their Goodyear blimp balloon and the whole thing has gone poof. It's very anti climatic. I really, really think it's one of these arrest me, I dare you. He's going the full queens on them. You

Alvin Bragg Prefers Releasing Real Criminals to Commit Crimes Again

"And see a little bit of Tucker Carlson's reporting last night on what this really dastardly district attorney has been doing from day one when he became district attorney out of New York City. Even as Bragg has been single mindedly focused bragga graduate of Harvard college, on Donald Trump and his crimes sending money to a porn star, he has been not only ignoring real crimes, but downgrading felonies to misdemeanors and letting actual violent criminals out of jail as quickly as possible. On his first day in office, first day, Bragg consistent with the ideas of the man who paid for his campaign, George Soros issued a memo explaining his office will quote not seek a sentence except in cases involving homicides, economic crimes, and a small number of felonies. That was great news for people who commit violent felonies, including rapists like Justin Washington, Washington struck a deal with Bragg that allowed him to serve just 30 days in jail under the theory that his rape was really just second degree coercion. So he got out quickly and when he did police say this same man sexually attacked 5 other people in The Bronx. He even tried to rape a homeless woman at ten in the morning. Okay. So in another case, a career criminal who was arrested three times in four months for serious crimes, including assault and aggravated harassment, skipped court. And when police finally found him and hauled him to court, Bragg's Bragg's office let him go in January of last year. Guess what he did when he got out? He murdered a woman.

Mike and Mark: The Broadway Investment Model

"Think about it. The Broadway model is so weird. You know, I invested in a musical for which I now have a Tony Award on my initial one, the musical of her best musical Tony Award and investors get to buy a Tony, you know, for the pleasure of having invested too much money in it. But the model is really strange. You know, there are people who invested $35,000 in wicked and they now are up to over $5 million in return. If you score a hit, you invest in a hit, you can make people that invested in, well, phantom from day one because the longer a show runs, the more it recoups its investment, how many shows how many shows have a GoFundMe like that. How many shows are doing grassroots funding at the outset. Oh, I don't think that GoFundMe model has reached Broadway. There's too much too much. I meant that. I don't really mean. I meant that kind of a way of categorizing the degree where a show starts and needs investors. Do all shows start out like that. Investors in order to get, I mean, typically you get an investor pool and because shows now, I'm sure Cinderella is, I'll bet the capitalization on that. 'cause it's expensive. 2020 $5 million, every penny of which is going to go down the drain. It's sorry, guys. Oh no, they'll lose all that. And that's a crypto of Broadway.

Why Jennifer Sey Walked Away From Her Role at Levi's

"That theme of sacrificing children continued into what happened with you at Levi. So tell us your story of what it was, what awful sin you committed under the conditions of the pandemic here in America. Well, I lived in San Francisco at the time, which is a very left leaning city, and it had very much aligned with my values or what I thought they were up until that time. But in March 2020, when the schools shut and San Francisco was the first city in America to shut schools, they also shut playgrounds for close to ten months. Basically, anything kids could do was not allowed. And I was very outspoken about this being wrong from day one from March 13th, 2020, even before that, really. I asked questions on social media. I attended school board meetings. I wrote op eds. In defense of children, it was very clear from the first that the risk was very age stratified and that this was going to cause more harm for our kids. While being completely ineffective in quote unquote, slowing the spread. And in San Francisco's school stay closed for 18 months, disrupted for two and a half years, and we are seeing the impacts of that now. And like I said, I was very outspoken about this. I was warned, time and again, that I needed to stop. So let's get into the details. So tell us the first instance, what were you told by the powers that be? And what was their justification for curtailing your First Amendment rights? So I did not get a call until September of 2020. So I've been at it for 6 months and hadn't heard anything. And to be honest, I was sort of waiting and wondering when I might. My peer, the head of corporate communications called me, we were all working virtual, so nobody popped by the office. And she said, people are noticing your social media. You need to remember that when you speak, you speak on behalf of the company and I said, I don't. I'm a mom. I don't have the company or my title and my profile. I'm a mom of four public school children, and she said, well, people don't like it. And I said, I understand that. I don't see really why that matters. Your kids are going back to school at in person private. Why can't I advocate for the same for public school children? She didn't really have an answer. She asked me to hold the line. I said, I don't really know what that means. And I said, this was a continuation of advocacy for children that I'd done in regards to children in the Olympic movement in sports, and it was too important to me. And I would keep it to kids, you know, I wouldn't branch out beyond that to lock downs and all the other things I was opposed to. But that this was too important.

Robyn Pfaffman: Justin Pearson Should Wear the Uniform of a State Rep

"Justin Pearson is a new state representative, he's like one of these black power dudes, got the big power fro and he is perpetually offended about everything. Actually gave out copies of the 1619 Project on day one of his time at the state House, and now he's catching fire because he's breaking dress protocol by not wearing a coat and tie. Instead, he's wearing this West African garb, which I've been it's basically a blouse. Right. And so I have given this a lot of thought. And what instantly comes to mind is a lawsuit that I covered many moons ago in Atlantic City, New Jersey involving casino workers, specifically Todd, cocktail waitresses, and these gals signed up to be cocktail waitresses to where the uniform where they worked. And some of them packed on a couple of pounds if you know what I mean. One, too many donuts later. And the casino got rid of them or put them on ice or whatever was going on. And these women sued and guess what they lost. You know why they lost? Because when they took the job, they signed on the dotted line that they were going to wear the uniform at their office and their office happened to be a casino, which leads me to airline pilot. When you sign up to be an airline pilot, you also agree to wear the uniform of said airlines. You can't come in there and wear whatever blouse or shirt or fig leaf you want. You know what I'm saying? And so my issue was this guy is, I know he's trying to make all sorts of statements and make this an entire racial thing. Which by the way, the woman who didn't let him in was, as I read it, was also black and she's just trying to follow the protocol,

Lara Trump: Donald Trump Isn't Worried About Nikki Haley, Opponents

"We're just really getting cranked up in the election season, but president Trump out there on the campaign trail. We know Nikki Haley's already thrown her head into the ring. Even though she said she would never run against the former president. But it looks like president Trump not all that concerned, especially with the low polling numbers. Yeah, I don't think he's concerned at all. And actually, if you look at the numbers themselves, the more people who get into the race on the Republican side actually may benefit my father in law because he's garnering about 50% of the Republican support at this point. Any time he is matched up against a potential opponent for the primaries and the more people you have get in actually they're going to split that other percentage of the vote and it looks like it could be an easy win for him to become the Republican nominee if that's the case. Obviously Nikki Haley has thrown her hat in and I'm sure we'll see many more do the same thing. But I think he probably not concerned because he knows that the American voters are really smart Tod and at this point we have seen the degradation of our country in such an extreme way over the past two years since Joe Biden and the Democrats took over the country and I think as we head toward 2024 my goodness if we have a country left at that point, people want somebody in there who has done the job before who they know can execute, get things done quickly and quite frankly has faced the swamp head on like he did for four years and despite all he had against him look at all the accomplishments he had. So I think he's running on his record and I think he is relying on the common sense of the American people to know that there is no time to waste. We got to get to work on day one and get this country back on track.

'Guilt by Accusation': Alan Dershowitz on His 'MeToo' Experience

"People will consider you a very prominent liberal were accused of these things to the point where you wrote a book about it and tell us what happened to you if you would. Well, I was totally false accusation. It wasn't one of these gray areas. As well, they had sex was consensual. It wasn't it. I never met the woman never heard of her. It was a completely made up story. And I said that from day one, I said from day one that wouldn't be any photographs that wouldn't be any witnesses. This is not a gray area case. In the end, I said right from the beginning, I would be totally exonerated and everybody would understand this never, ever, ever happened. Now I want to move on to helping other people who have been accused. And I think this is a pandemic in the United States now. I know a lawyer in Los Angeles, who says she writes a hundred thousand dollar check once a week on behalf of prominent Los Angeles people. People just walk into the office and say, well, I'm going to accuse this guy unless you pay me a hundred grand and of course it never happened, but paying a hundred grand is a lot better than suffering a $1 million worth of publicity. So it's called extortion. I'm not a lawyer, but this seems to me, we know it's wrong, but it isn't it criminal. It isn't it extraordinary. It won't stop until the false accusers go to prison and there are lawyers who facilitated them, go to jail. You know, it was Eric Hoff, for the great street philosopher who once said, they started harness causes. They then become movements, then businesses, and then rackets. And the me too movement is all those phases. And the real victims of false accusations are the real victims of sexual abuse, because when people start making up stories, then the credibility of the whole movement comes into effect. So I think I'm a strong supporter of the real me too movement, but I think there ought to be another me too movement. Me too. I've been wrongly accused along with so many other people, and we have to fight back. The reason

I thought you had some of the best commentary on that. I'm a Trump supporter in 2024. And I am disturbed and bothered at Lindsey Graham's proximity to Donald Trump. Let's play cut 47 and then I want you to react to play cut 47. I am for Trump, not because of the flaws of anybody else. I'm for Donald Trump because I know what I'm going to get. We need somebody that on day one can get this country back on track that can secure our border and bring order out of chaos. Somebody the Russians and the Chinese fear. Somebody that can take the fight to the terrorist. They Abraham accords the result of Donald Trump in pressing the Arabs and Israelis. He is the best solution to the problems we face, not because of the flaws of others, but because what I know he can do. Does he believe that Pedro your reaction? I don't know, because Lindsay has built his career online to people and probably lying to himself. But I think the bottom line is exactly what you said at the outset that it's not a good sign that Lindsey Graham is in such close proximity to Trump. And the idea that Trump needs Lindsey Graham's support in order to win South Carolina that argument just seems to not make sense at all. And if that's true, that actually means that Trump has bigger problems than people, I guess, are aware of, right? If Lindsey Graham is critical to your success, that's not a good sign for your campaign. So really, there's no rational reason for the right to make excuses for Lindsey Graham's proximity to Trump. And I think that Graham is among the most pernicious in the GOP precisely for the reasons that I outlined the other night on Tucker Carlson, but I can actually go a little bit more in depth here because I have more time. But again, people look at people look at Graham and they see this kind of goofy character who's ultimately harmless, but he's not

Rep. Jim Jordan Shares His Top Priorities

"The top of the agenda for you here in the House judiciary committee? I mean, you're off to a fast start. What are the top priorities for both oversight, but also making sure that we hold the Biden administration accountable? Well, the first priority is the border with why we had our first hearing immediately after that hearing that you just referenced there where we organized. We held a hearing on the border situation. And I think there are three fundamental questions. How did it happen? Why does it matter? How do we fix it? How it happened, we all know that. This is intentional, what the Biden administration has done because on day one, Joe Biden said, we are going to stop building the wall. We're not going to we're going to get rid of remain in Mexico to people seeking asylum. And we're not going to deport anyone. And then you get this flux influx of people, this unbelievable number, never seen in the history of our country, record numbers, month after month after month, 5 million 2 years. So that's how it happened. Why it matters is what we really tried to get across in our hearing on Wednesday where we had a father who lost a son to fentanyl. We had a deputy sheriff, excuse me, a county sheriff who talked about in his 38 years in law enforcement. Two years ago, he said was the best, the border situation has ever been. Today, it's the worst. I mean, it literally what he said. And he said, it's the worst because all the people coming across, but the crime, the cost of communities, the cost of schools, the cost of local hospitals, the cost of the entire country. The cost to our system, and then the focus on processing these individuals, what to Biden administration is doing. And then you can't catch the fentanyl and everything else in the smuggling and all the bad things that are happening coming across in outside the ports of entry. So that was why it matters and then of course what we're going to do in the committee is fix it by passing legislation that will immigration enforcement legislation that will change the policy back to the policy, frankly, we had under president Trump. That's what we're going to do. Joe Biden may not sign those bills, but our job is to pass them and show the country what actually works. So that'll be a huge focus. And then, of course, as you mentioned, the oversight because we do believe that our government now has been turned against the people and in many ways is targeting the very people it's supposed to represent and that we have a double standard of justice in the country.

"Let me start with a newsmaker and never give an inch. At the CIA, when you took office, you immediately began to look into the Russia report that was used ambush Donald Trump on the 1st January 6th, which you write January 6th, 2017, is the 1st January 6th. That's when Comey Brennan and clapper plus you not knowing what was in the document because you hadn't been confirmed, basically sabotaged the next four years. And you did an after action deep dive at the CIA. Would you tell people what you discovered about the intelligence community, Russia report that became the Russia Russia, Russia hoax? I was asked to go to Trump Tower on January 6th, 2017 for what may have been one of the most remarkable meetings. I was still just a back bench congressman from Kansas awaiting my confirmation process. And there you have director Comey, Heather FBI director Brennan head of the CIA and Jim clapper, the head of the DNI. Basically tell the president he's a Russian asset. They've got this document that became known as the Russia ICA. It was the foundational document that Adam Schiff used to lie to the American people about the Russian oaks, the fact that our administration was cuddly to Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump was a Russian asset. It was false. It was based upon a series of lies about this Steele dossier that was later used in the fisa courts. And I now can see they were convinced that they were telling the president something they knew had no foundation. And I saw it. So when I got to say, hey, not quite on day one, but very quickly. I gathered the team that had done this work. It was actually some really talented analysts, but they had gone around the most senior leadership in the analytic department two of the three most senior leaders there who came to me and said, basically, we were xed out. We were crossed out of the process. Director Brennan went around us. And I came to learn that director Brennan knew that the Steele dossier wasn't worthy of inclusion in the ICA. He kind of went back and forth. It ultimately ends up in a footnote of the ICA. That was the compromise, but of course we know Hugh. We know the history. Jared's book and Kellyanne's book were very good, even though the last two would like to strangle each other. Yours is the best because you're the only national security official who served from day one to the last day for secretaries of defense for national security advisers for chiefs of staff. Is that a recommended operating procedure, mister secretary? You mean in terms of turnover? Yeah. That is, that is suboptimal to be diplomatic. I retain some of my diplomatic skills, I suppose. No, you really want to make sure you get the right team on the field from day one as best you can. Doesn't always work that way, but that transition. Every time there was a transition to acting Secretary of Defense or a confirmed Secretary of Defense or as we switched out national security advisers, it meant a lot of relearning a lot of tracking back through ground that we had already covered different ideas. Maybe that's good. But my recommendation, it preferred solution would be to find the right team as early as you can, get them on the field and then drive as hard as you can towards your objectives. It is, I was a Secretary of State for a thousand days you. I needed another thousand to complete the mission set.

Yeah, you know, he was hurt last year. I think that's some of the reason that he dips a little bit, but yeah, he looked really, really, really good today. He looked excellent today. Yeah, on the one that you timed at 5.7 came accord, the Patriots special teams coordinator was actually cheering after that one. He was like, he was like, oh boy, what a pun. That was a heck of a pine. Julia, you mentioned the ball kind of corkscrews off his foot a little bit. It's a little bit funky, but you can tell, and Julian's got a big leg. He's got some big college numbers in terms of distance on some of his punts in college, but Bailey clearly the leg today. I think was even an untrained eye like myself when it comes to punters. It was pretty clear who had the better day punting the football today. Yeah, I'm looking at it here. So Julian's best punt was four four 9. Jake Bailey, and that's of 6. Jake Bailey and 8 punts only had one punt that was less than that. It was four three 8. Julian, you're right. The rotation off his foot's pretty funky, and there's a lot to like about that, but Jake Bailey's on another level. He's on another level he showed that again today. Yeah. Good punter. Good punt of the Patriots have. All right, so that about does it for our recap of day one, a patriots mini camp Alex and I have both written notebooks or take away columns about day one on 95 the sports up dot com for Alex and on CNS media dot com for me and we'll both be out there again tomorrow doing the same thing and we'll talk about tomorrow and Thursday to the Celtics game tomorrow night. We'll talk about this on Thursday show a day's two and three of mini camps. So that is a wrap on the Patriots, but we do have to do a boss in sportsman in a little bit. There's a lot going on in Boston sports outside of the Patriots. And I'm glad we got to do a solid 55 minutes on the Pats. We needed that. But now that we have to get into the Boston sports, I don't even know where to begin. We start with the brunch. We start with the bruins 'cause they deserve it. They want the headlines. They make the move during the NBA Finals instead of three weeks ago.

"Now it's June. Let's see what it looks like in November. Let's see what it looks like even in September, but people keep asking us, does it look like the fastballs got more zip on it? Does it look like Mac Jones is making a year or two leap? Does it look like he's improving? And with all of this other stuff conceivably not going necessarily his way around him, McDaniels leaves, you know, that sort of thing, he's still getting better. And he's still really leading the troops. And I think the number one thing that you can take away from this spring is that Mac, I think is ready to lead the charge, right? He's ready to lead the troop. The question is, is will the rest of the group come with them, right? Well, the other 52 guys on the team come with them, but I have no concerns whatsoever about Mac Jones ability to lead them back to the playoffs. I think it's more about what's going on around them at this point. Yeah, and to go back to your original point, I think a lot of the sky is falling discourse. And I'm somebody who's participated in this because I believe it. I think a lot of the issue is you have a second year quarterback, a guy who's still learning is still developing. Why are you putting a patchwork coaching staff around him? And I still think that's a concern. If Mac truly is great and I'm talking about, you know, exceeding the ceiling expectations. If Mac really is that dude, right? Right. Maybe none of it matters. Yeah. Maybe he just overcomes it and just says F this, I'm gonna do it myself right. Like maybe even with bad coaching, he can still develop himself. I don't know if that's the case or not, but it's all tied together, right? It's all tied together and you worry about max development. So to see him, you know, again, it's one practice, but if he continues on this trend, I think then the conversation becomes well, did we, you know, miss analyzed the coaching staff or is he doing this in spite of the coaching staff, not because of them? I think that becomes the next step. But it's all tied together, really. Yeah, I pretty much everybody is reported on the throw to trade Nixon at this point. But that throw to me and we had a great vantage point of it. And if we were able to record still, that was at the portion of the practice where they shut down the cameras and we weren't able to get it on video, unfortunately, but Alex and I were standing like maybe 5 to ten yards away from Trey Nixon, not even when he made that catch and it fell right into our laps as well. And to see him hold the safety in the middle of the field and fit that ball over the top of Jonathan Jones and before Devin McCourty could get over the top. Having that ability to get just enough zip on it, but also have that touch and that accuracy to drop it in the bucket. That was the type of throw that with all these questions about arm strength and has his velocity improved. Once I saw that, I was like, all right, I think we're in a good spot now with Mac Jones in terms of the physical development of his arm strength velocity body, whatever you want to talk about it in year two because that was an absolute dime and that was.

"Called, it's got a phenomenal record and he's taken four of the last ten renewals. Is that right? At least three. Patrick Mullins has won two Derek O'Connor one of Manila rocko, got rose JT McNamara, one of the greatest amateur writers of all time. And Lisa O'Neill, who, of course, is superb. She got a Tiger roll somehow to victory because Tiger roll back in those days used to love to hit a fence. And he hit one really hard that day as well. So you need a really good amateur rider on your side. For some reason, the O'Leary's won't use Jimmy Carter. I don't know why. It's a bit beyond me as to why. So Jamie is going to be on board bray size. He's the best jockey in the race. He's the best jockey in the right thing. And the O'Leary's are going to O'Leary. They're not going to use them who the hell knows why. So possibly the lease O'Neill will be on board, maybe Barry O'Neill. But Derek O'Connor has been booked for vanilla. And I think the fact that he's a potato race winner who has won and has got plenty of experience over fences with Derek on board, that moves vanilla up the list for me. He becomes my selection. But I completely get where you're coming from with one roll for it. And you can be sure. It's going to be rob James, Lisa O'Neill, Barry O'Neil, one of those are going to be on board Rommel Fred and their series. So yeah, watch out for really talented amateur jockey to be on board. Who is your best bet of day one of the cheltenham festival, Lee McKenzie? I'm going to go for the tide turns and the race that you want to be called the Fred winter. Race 6 whole day one. And I think that the race that he ran in last time out, although he's a beaten long, long way that I think, as you say, running him to get him a handicapped for a race at the church and first of all, and I think it's worked because although he's got quite a big weight, he's got a lot of class and I think that will be one of many winners during the course of the week for Gordon Elliott. I agree. Best bet of the day, Melissa Jones. Slightly less obvious outside of the main grade one races. I think at the prices, fantasticus and the ultimate is the one for me. He ticks more. It takes a lot of the trend boxes and of course Nigel Davis bosses are in great form and this horse is a real progressive sort and I think around ten to one ten to one Mark. He's a sporting better the day for me. I definitely think you'll go well against this opposition and yeah, he's hard to fault in the handicap. Like we said a couple of the market leaders a few negatives about them and he just looks the right type for the race and of course another British winner we hope to continue the great winner. Another British wedding. Another historically Melissa rather than another at this year's festival. So it could be another day. Yeah, me too out of three at that point. Hopefully, anyway, fingers crossed. Do you know Richard Johnson said in his retirement interview on the final for a long that during cheltenham had got so bad on the Thursday that if he wasn't riding in a race, they just walk out of the.

"The BHA have welfare concerns, then dropping the race from four miles to three miles 6. That really solves them. For goodness sakes. You want it down a bit further. Three and a half. No, don't no, leave it at four. Jesus Christ. 30. I think it was all calls, wasn't it? By that one. A few years back where they read it, the horses were so exhausted coming down the hill. There was hardy anything left standing. And the sewers got all the jockeys into the wilderness. LeBron, wasn't it? It was, yeah. The problem with that though is that if you've got a race that's a demanding test of stamina and the conditions turn up testing, you can't blame the jockeys for continuing to try to do their best and achieve the best possible placing. They get bad for not doing it then. What are you doing? I didn't understand that at all. It was crazy, really. If there is an issue about jockeys continuing the horses at a time. I mean, you could actually argue that in a number of other races as well. You shouldn't have carried on with that. At the second loss, so I really felt for the jockeys on they were trying to do was ride a win or get placed at the cheltenham festival, but this time, yeah, still three and three quarter bars are still a similar extreme test, isn't it? As you were implying there. But it's also a good race these days, isn't it? We've had some seriously good gold cup type horses running. Yeah, native river. That's right, went on to win the gold cup. So let's celebrate the fact that this is I think a much better than it used to be. But I remember the first time I commentated on this race at halfway, I'm not kidding. There were two fences between halfway. There were two fences between the one jumping in the lead and the one still going at the back. Two fences. And it run it 5 full on pace. Ridiculously quick over four miles. Clearly, there were some horses that were never going to get home in a race like that. I never quite understood why the jockeys rode like that anyway, but I think now you're getting quality horses in it. Not just national horses, but potentially, yes, gold cup horses as well. Statler up there at the top of the market with Rome wild Fred. It's just lacks a little bit of experience for me. I think he's only around a couple of times like the fences. I think he's got potential to be a decent staying horse. A seriously good saying horse. But I think the thing about Rome while Fred, he's got loads of experience over fence. His second in the Irish national and therefore and I know he's going to stay. So when they turn it into the home straight, I'm not going to be thinking, is he going to get up the hill? Yes, he'll get uphill, no problem. Well, I'll tell you one potential answer. Is the head gear? He usually wears blinkers. I don't like backing horses where blinkers. But in his case, he wears them all the time and they work on him. So I put him down is just one of those slightly quirky horses who needs them, because they've worked time after time after time. And I think they'll work again. Or be another winner for good nearly. Yeah. Just remind us of the name because you slightly dropped out there. Romo Fred, Ron wild Fred. To when they at the last race on day one, rom wildfire mentioned for nearly a, I think he wasn't at his best last time out. I think you'll see a better run today, but the thing about remote Fred is he ticks nearly every ball, the headgear box I don't like, but if a horse is wearing headgear in the hope that it will improve for blinkers, then I'm always a bit suspicious until I've seen that.

"To, like, this happened with champagne fever, who was 60s plus. On that fair and ended up running in the supreme anyway. If you want to, just take advantage of the crazy prices on the exchange. But these days, the exchange tends to be that little bit tighter. And it does tend to guide. So if he's that price then, I think we can pretty certainly say he's not going to run in the spring. I think so at this stage as well, isn't it? Like we said, it's getting so close to me to now it just seem a key sign there. He will be going to the other race. So yeah, so that does change the complexion of it. Obviously, doesn't it? And we're going to have dice that dino up front. We think making the pace and it's going to be a strongly run affair as often supreme novices hurdles are fully balanced as an excellent record in the records and his backers will be confident of see the horse hasn't been beaten before. Has one way of going and they'll be hoping that he'll be set in sail up the hill and put in rivals under pressure. The one concern about him I have, perhaps, is maybe a bit of temperament obviously that you could say the same about Jon Bon, couldn't you, he's got quirks. Of his own, but does its own yet to be tested where the tongue tie and the last two runs on soft and we know the forecast is going to be drier as it gets to the festival and the ground is going to be quite a bit better. We think leading into it. So those would be just a couple of negatives for me on that horse's front. I've always liked John Bond. I think he's a real player here. I think as long as he doesn't boil over in the prelims and I think Nikki Henderson was saying in the stable tour that he would be doing everything he can to keep a lid on him, keep him cool and crucially with all his energy for the race itself. He's won a couple of steadily run affairs. He's shown a decent turn of foot. A lot of people were keen to sort of crab in, weren't they last time saying, you know, we worked with tough to end, et cetera. But I think he's done a little wrong with me. He's up there with the best of the British and of course is stablemate constitution hill. And on the book he does have a few pounds to find with that rival, but for me, the doubt with him is sand down form and he induced in the ground. He ultimately has been impressive and a couple of shrewd anti post panzers have got big prices on him. Haven't they? Including Michael Buckley, who's going to massive bed on him at 33s? Well done, sir. Indeed. And, you know, he's a beautiful horse and he's got plenty of talent, but that just would be a question mark for me. With regards to him, you know, like I said, he could he could blow them away, couldn't he? But yeah, the sundown. I think any of these three to cut across you could perceive blow them away or just perhaps it's going to be a really tight finish because dice of dynamite actually is the highest rating of these, which is intriguing. So he's one 5 two constitutional one four 8 Jon Bon one four 5. But let's be honest about it. Does it dynamos had two runs over hurdles? He has run in the Moscow flyer, which is important because that's a race that men who was second for tour and douvan all running before coming to the supreme. Constitution hill, the sand down and aspect that you bring in there, I think, is very interesting. I love Sam down as a race course. Sand down novice hurdle form when it's soft and heavy. Nah. Not for me. Jon Bon is the horse. I think should arguably be favorite. And I think we asked, I should say, I asked Nikki Anderson about John Bond and why he was taking him to haydar, and he was saying he's giving me a headache to them. But he was basically saying that he's very, very busy. And you wouldn't give him two bob for constitutional hill if you saw him in the morning. But when he works, he's a machine. And the same with John Bond but John will just gets very, very worked up. And that he needed to run him at headache and then let him down to then build him back up for cheltenham. And I thought he did really well to win. I didn't get the criticism of him. The thing that concerns me about Nikki and we are recording on Saturday is his form. It's very difficult. You can try and make excuses all you want about, oh, he's not running his best resources. I think it's 17.

"Hello, lovely to be with you. The life is the meeting is finally falling into shape. I think we're getting a better idea now, which causes are going to run in which races aren't we? Because up until now, I think part of the problem has been not so much tipping horses to win races and trying to second guess the trainings, specifically one trainer in Ireland. Initials WM. Yeah, trying to get inside the mind of William Mullins is it's one for psychological experts, I think. We are also joined by now a final frontal podcast favorite like you are the Melissa Jones. Welcome to before breakfast. Production of iheartradio. Good morning. this is laura. Welcome to the before breakfast podcast. Today's tip is for all those households who are starting new routines a school resumes. And maybe as workplaces start bringing people back in person as well. It won't be perfect on day. One new routines take time to establish. That's okay as long as you approach the rough patches mindfully. My kids start school after labor day. So we are not quite back yet but i have lived through enough back to school seasons to know that those first few days can be nerve racking this year. We've got three kids starting new schools. There are new start times new end times. There will be new transportation arrangements after being under scheduled for a long time. The kids have all sorts of activities that they would like to plus. Did i mention that. My work travel is starting up again in september. It's a lot to sort out. But here's the thing not everything has to be perfect on day one the first day back to school. We'll definitely have its challenges. Somebody is going to forget something. A bus will be late. There will be drama but it will be okay. By the end of the day everyone will most likely have returned to the house. The rough patches can be sorted through those challenges will inform the next day schedule and any tweaks that needs to be made things will come up and become more clear over time and all those realities can be dealt with in the moment. The problem is that when people assume that everything will go perfectly or that we can solve all scheduled problems ahead of time. We can wind up out of sorts when life doesn't go as planned a late bus isn't just a late bus. It is a sign that everything will be chaotic all year. Long so something big needs to change like nixon and activity changing school apparent making a big change at work. Well maybe but most likely things are going to be better tomorrow so there is no need to interpret a rough first day as anything but a rough first day and there is no need to spend months worrying about potential scheduled glitches. That might happen weeks in the future. You will still be able to solve problems weeks in the future and so you will solve those problems. Then that said there are some things that can happen to make the first day of a new routine go. Better for instance. If you are returning to your office this fall. Maybe on a hybrid schedule. Perhaps you don't want to make your first day back the same day. Your kids go back to school. The first day of school is a great day to work from home. that way. You won't be stressed when a bus was late. You can do a run of the kids getting ready routine without adding timed version of yours on top. If you are starting new lessons or new activities trying to time the start for the second week of school might be better than aiming for the i. I would also suggest planning something really fun for the first weekend. After the school year starts that will stretch the vacation feeling a little longer. I am reminded. How in the past the miss america pageant was always the weekend after labor day in atlantic city. It was an excuse to keep the summer season going a little bit longer. You can channel the same impulse buy planning a family beach trip or a bike ride or even apple picking for that first weekend. Apples often hit their peak around september. In many places where they grow so plan a family beach trip or bike ride or even apple picking for that first weekend. Those apples hit their peak around september in many places where they grow. So that is a nice transitional activity that has a little scholastic element to it. Even if you don't put the apples on your desk in any case day one won't be perfect during this back to school season. So be ready for that but there are things you can do to make day one more fun and those are well worth doing in the meantime. This is laura. Thanks for listening. And here's to making the most of our time. Hey everybody i'd love to hear from you. You can send me your tips your questions or anything else. Just connect with me on twitter. "It's the time of year that that's going to get a lot better so in some ways the both of my problems will get better with time But it was just a bit of a strange week when these two situations where suddenly. There's you strange splits. That i'm having to navigate but between my user bases where Like i just don't like it. I i just feel as weird and i. I want to try and simplify things as much as i can. And so it's like on the one. Hand the for the i e feature with iphone sizes. It's like well. I just won't implement it right away. I think for this feature. It's like implemented right away and just you know. Hide it from you know. Just turn it off. Went on some devices and turn it on another's and not worry about it too much like i thought about. If there's other ways that i could go around doing this and trying to get around the memory limited work really hard in creatively. And i did a little bit of that. But ultimately spending too much time worrying about minority and especially diminishing minorities of users. I think sort of coming around to the realization that That's it's okay to be. Have them have less of a rich experience as long as their experiences. Reasonable appropriate good but I need to focusing on the ninety nine rather than the one. In this case i think is makes a lot of sense. Yeah and the bigger. Your app is that you're dealing with and your pretty big The more that affects should play into your decision making because the more people are affected basically. Yeah i think the stakes of getting wrong p feel so much higher and i think Th that caution is appropriate here. In a way. That if i was for a lot of my smaller apps from years gone by and it's like i do something and it affects denver center people in that ten percent of people who's actually just like ten people it's not a big deal In quite the same way So that's bad. It's it's it's it's it's a brave new world of quiet update coming into looking down into september al have minor updates probably For the first time. "I've been running out of main phone for for a long time. And i i love it. Works exactly like. I would hope that i see more pictures. You know if my kids smiling faces rather than like we off framed things. End seen pictures of people's midsections or things that are you know unflattering framing But if you have a you know one of the older phones i can't do it it just. There's no way that i've been able to find that. I'm able to get the vision framework to run in less memory. Even if i provide like a tiny version of the image if i scale it down to sixty four by sixty four pixels and see if it would still run like no it whatever reason that it always goes over memory there but it's a strange thing to communicate then to my users because i'm getting in my release notes or in my what's new section. I'm going to say. Hey there's this cool new thing but only if you're running these particular phones or if you you know dealing with the y. where now you need conditional. Ui based on iphone version. Not just based on ios version And it's kind of awkward. And i still think i'm gonna go ahead and go do the feature but in a weird way. It makes me slightly inclined to emphasize it less obviously or potentially even like the strangest thought was in the. What's new area of the app like a tab shows you. what's new is like twenty two like an if conditional there and it's like what's new. It's different if you're on an iphone ten are or if you're on an iphone seven which seems really funny and they kind of strange that if you know to to users you know one of them imagined a household one of them has ten are one of them has an iphone. Seven ten our look at the school feature and the other person opens it up. Download the app download. The exact same version from the app store opened. So they're what's new and it says like it just doesn't say it says the other little bug fixes and performance improvements that i did in the app and it just seemed like a strange situation and one that i'm still trying to think through but that one feels much more of like a communication question of how do i how do i communicate this to my users. In a way that doesn't cause confusion or problems rather than one that is quite as sort of problematic is the first one with widgets sizes. Yeah that's you're you're really hitting tough problems today like i say like faced. I faced the The fear of such differences many times Both recently and throughout the past developing my audio engine. And i always think like whenever i attempt some kind of fairly sophisticated processing on the on the live audio stream. I always think well this. This might not work so well on the iphone. se or the first which is basically a success Or on the iphone seven. Or whatever. And i always go back and try it and i'm always surprised like oh actually this uses like two percents..

"There's more discovered another interesting bifurcation problem in in which smith these last few weeks without finishing the topic to discuss and that is so one of the features that Which smith has is a way to display image from a selected album in your senior photos. So you pick your favorites pickup shared album. Whatever it is that you like to do it. Just sort of cycles through pictures random through that throughout the day and it's a great feature. It's probably my my second most widely used widget. It's great Unfortunately it the way that it had been working previously than. I would just take the picture that i would take the picture and center it in the in the view And sort of fill the space with it and this means that sometimes you'd have you know awkward things where you'd be cutting people off out of the picture or focusing on their midsections rather than their faces and things because it was just censoring it and this isn't it was unfortunate but it was fine in some ways but given updates i'd done recently. Was you know having a face detection system in it where i try and lets you first single pictures with you. Choose a particular picture like you're making a photo photo frame You can automatically have it sort of zoom and pan to focus on the people who are in it. Because i think very often. That's what people are using this for research. I use it for us. I want pictures of my kids. My wife my family Henry thought who will. Why don't i try doing this. I as an optional feature for the album system where you can have it do this. The focusing on people automatically sounded great. I went had served built this feature out. I'm saying there testing on my iphone. Twelve mini That's my bourbon use it. It's that an antenna are my two main development devices that i've been using was developing it. Everything worked great on the system was performance. It's fast it's like everything was good Getting ready to ship it. And so then. I started doing my compatibility testing phase and started running different devices and most of them. It ran fine and if they get running it on an iphone seven Suddenly the app Won't update at all and is showing me the evidence that the system is being is crashing essentially. And i see this because you end up with this kind of placeholder view You y for your widget if you've ever seen it where it's the all. The text is been almost blurred out or turned into lines. It's not like a sad mac or a bomb. Yeah it's very similar to that if you're a widget developer you know this look and it's like oh no something crashing and in this case i was able to connected to the exco do do do..

"That's only available on the latest and it's only you know the biggest size so even then it's like you're really. I think you're appealing to a pretty small group with that And so if you could do it without making things. Weird are worse for everyone else. Sure go ahead and do it. But because you can't i don't think it's worth including that at all and i would say don't include it until maybe i was fifteen has very high adoption. Yeah i think. That is the the unfortunate reality. I feel weird doing it though. I'm like mr day one. Like this is what i do is a new feature comes out and i'm like they're on day one making shrum. You know adopting it as soon as i can. I mean that's the whole reason. Why would smith exists in did well is that it was there on day one and it feels strange that this big new thing one of them significant features for the fall in the i would say this fall. The way it's shaping up. There are relatively new not new develop relatively few new developer features. I was fifteen. One of them was like near this. This new widget size on the ipad but it is kind of weird to not do it. But i think you're right and i was ultimately. I think where. I'm heading is going to see a was at. The app is still better on. I was fifteen for the ipad because now widgets can go on your home screen and you can have small medium and large just like you could before and that you know i can put it out into the world with good support for those making sure that i'm like i've been going through and optimizing the app for the ipad in a way that i didn't really before because it was such a small proportion of user base and so it worked because it's just like swift. Ui app and it works reasonably well when you just kind of like blow it up onto an ipad..

"I suspect that would be my only hope. But i mean anyway the anyway so turns out though if you do that and i was fourteen and you say the which it supports no widgets The entire sort of widget system falls down and then if chip at all awkward. So i'm left in kind of this awkward place where i had this feature that i want to add but in adding it it sort of creates this weird separation issues for myself with a subset of users and specifically its users running iowa's fourteen because people running iowa's fifteen they get the great experience. It should be as expected. But if you're running iowa's fourteen like right. Now the best i can do is i can put a another widgets size in their say i say it supports extra large and large say and so on iowa's fourteen it would or when i was fourteen just provide large I wouldn't provide them together. Sign misspoke and provide iowa's as eight supports large. Dan support extra-large. And then on iowa's fourteen. There'd be this entry at the end of the list that doesn't actually do anything. Because there is no extra large inserting. You'd probably have a message in there. That just says like which not support it on your device or something like that Which is confusing and inelegant and problematic in a lot of ways and really been struggling with this this this week because on the one hand i kind of want to make sure that a good platform citizen that i am adopting the new technology Has it comes out but at the same time. It creates this weird problem. And i suspect for a substantial amount of time i was fourteen will be the dominant platform that the app is run on Probably at least until the end of the year i would guess And so it's kind a tricky place. I don't necessarily make the experience. Worse or more confusing or problematic for people. And i was fourteen but i also want to take advantage. It's featuring i was fifteen. And so i'm kind of stuck in in in in some ways. It's just this weird tension between wanting to benefit relatively small group of users. I don't the i've had is not a particularly widely used platform for wade smith which is largely. I think because it's on the ipad and i was fourteen. We're kind of awful. You don't have them in the in the today view and you can't put them on your home screen and there was a lot of problems with that and it just fair enough. That was where apple epa went. Amazing and i was fifteen. I love having them on my home. Screen there They've actually look really cool. And the way that they've sort of deal with portrait rotation layouts and stuff is very clever like it's awesome but I i wonder if it'll i if not having extra large on i was fifteen caused me to be a problem or a disappointment to people But yeah that's the struggle that i'm dealing with and then i have another one..

"Welcome to under the radar show but independent ios app development. I'm marco arment. And i'm david smith under the radar is never longer than thirty minutes. So let's get started so you get finished your share play implementation okay. I'm so glad that this This summer i did not i. When one of my topics i did write down really see was that Couple of ideas for she share playthings. Because that seemed like the big hot new feature was fifteen And you're making reference in case anyone hasn't noticed it didn't isn't listen to. This knows this. I believe now that you're play won't be shipping with iowa's fifteen At least in the initial version. So i'm very relieved that i decided to shelve those projects out for the future. Seems like that is not coming anytime soon. It's my sense. Would be my my inkling though i will say there's probably a sign that the beta that they just released pending it's beta six probably getting very close to the release candidate Both in terms of where we are you know. We're recording this in the middle of august and so it's probably close to final end. It also been the fact that this is when they announced that they're sort of punting that out into a subsequent release makes me think this is pretty much the release candidate Or very close to it that we're getting to now where they're saying. This is what it is and so it's probably getting close to the time to you. Know like apple internally is sort of lock things down and so it's probably just a good reinforcement for us it if it doesn't work in beta six it probably won't be working on day one so just be aware of that. Yeah i would expect the same thing this is. This is almost like you know the they reverted a lot of the safari..

"But when you just look, it's like it's it goes like this right, from from right to left like the height wise like, well, it's crazy. How large that human is? He he walked out today with Michael. When you yeah, here I say it was comprable. So, for whatever. All right, let's move over to the defense. We mention that the secondary had a really nice day today. I thought, if we had to give a practicing lawyer of the day ball away, I would have given it to Adrian Phillips. I thought the guy was everywhere. He was all over the tight ends, he intercepted a Cam Newton past late and practice. He broke up another pun intended for Johnny Smith earlier and practice and smothered Hunter Henry a second time. A couple of reps earlier, it was a bad, a bad, stretch for the Patriots offense there, to close out practice with cameras at quarterback through behind the receiver through over the head of tender born and was intercepted by Adrian Phillips. That was sort of the stretch that people are pointing out with Cam having a rocky day, right? Where those laughing. Three or four reps where where he seemed to struggle a little bit. But Adrian Phillips, I thought really showed us that. Hey, Kyle Duggars here, he's going to be a big part of this defense this year and into the future. Jalen Mills is here. They gave him some money but Adrian Phillips is still hanging around and I think he's going to be a big part of this defense. Yeah, you know we talked about him as potentially a border player just with the emergence of high old bugger and is there enough room for the two of them if he's going to play like that it opens Duggar to play more on the back end and move around the formation. Like we talked about yesterday with what is a second-year jump going to look like so that's you know, Adrian Phillips being a guy who has a big campus is so encouraging for the defense. And yeah, I thought he was great today. I thought Duggar looked really good today, I actually walk down where we were if you ever go training camp or like up on a hill behind one of the end zones where I walk down the hill, and we're basically like right on the back line at the end zone and I was watching Duggar closely was just log. Safety individual safety work and he just looks more refined than he did last year, which is obviously what you expect from a second year player. You know. It's not to say he wasn't refined last year, you can see the growth. And that's certainly scary in a good way because I think a lot of what he was doing last year was just based on instincts and now he's sort of adding to the toolbox in that, you know, everybody talked about this year to jump for Kyle bugger. He's setting himself up for it. It seems like very well looks great in the uniform to looks great. Grilled straight in 2323 is much more that thirty-five. To me is always been a call back number. Now, like 36 lawyer milloy, that's the safety number 23 is a great number for him. I think that's a great fit. I agree. I'm in college. I go to look nice out there today as well, but I watch talk about the outside cornerback competition too, because we saw JC Jackson, Stephon Gilmore was out at practice as a spectator. He's still on the list, he came out after the first place..

"I'm sure you can hear the background is unhappy about something. But anyways, we had to get back from training camp and made it a little bit difficult here with the timing, but we're here now and Alex both. You and I were out at each campus morning a slow start practice, but I thought things picked up as we got into the second half and towards the end of the day, still kind of an extension as of minicamp as Bill Belichick spoke about on Thursday, kind of a glorified walkthrough to begin with. But then we got some low Red Zone work or we got into real seven-on-seven, some competitive 11 on 11:00 as well and and we can get it sort of the biggest wage. Away here in a second that I had. But just overall impressions of the first day of training camp and being back out there. Yeah, Bill talked about picking up where they left off and the defense certainly got the message. They were the better unit in the spring and they were the better unit today. A pair of turnovers they probably could have had a couple more, Jalen Mills dropped an interception. And I think this is going to be the tone this year. Is this team will go as far as this defense is going to carry them and they look like they might be able to carry them pretty far. So have to be encouraged by what you saw from the defense. I don't even necessarily think the offense played poorly. The defense just was that good witch without pads is saying something to me. Yeah, the defense of secondary in particular I highlighted in green Phillips but I thought had to just found a locking down both Hunter Henry and John who Smith but I don't know. There's two ways to look at this house either. We can say this wasn't my biggest takeaway but since you mentioned it we can say that it's a consumer. And the secondary looked significantly faster and significantly more on point than the receivers that the receiver is still look a little bit slow out there. Right? I thought the war coverage a lot of this practice, and we've seen the secondary, especially guys like Jackson, and Mills and Phillips and Jonathan Jones and Miles. Brian, really put the song apps on some of these guys. So, that I think, either you can say the second, there is great. Maybe the receivers are still a concern. You know, you gotta go either way with that, but by biggest take away from today to get to the Office, Max was, I thought that this was another decisive win for Mac Jones today. Now, cam let off drills. He was the guy that was primarily working in with the starting offense, right? With the starting offensive line Pickler. But I thought when you look at, again, the things that we talked about so much with this offense, timing Rhythm, anticipation, ball placement, accuracy, all these types of birth, Things. There was one quarterback that I thought did that more consistently than the other and it was Mac. I thought that he put the ball in really good places more than cam did. In terms of getting through the progression, not getting the ball into the right place and going through it that way. I don't know how much we can put into this yet because until the pads go on and real football begins cuz there's going to be a a physical element to this that I think is going to heavily-favored Camp, right? Once the past the point and he can become a runner at times and he can use his physical ability in the pocket and all those types of things that we're not going to hit a quarterbacks and practice. But you understand what I'm getting at 57 Kuala, physical..

"They're in a war. They're trying to win and they don't care who dies as long as they win because it's a war. The republicans think they're playing parcheesi. They think it's a parlor game. They think they can go over and look get the instant replay video see. We'd really got really we get. We got a touchdown. Really really really. That's the republicans so much of the time. David show david charles pretty good. I liked to david sean. Here's some david sean. They wanna put you through a sixteen hour presentation over two days focusing on this as if it were some sort of blood sport and to what end for healing for unity for accountability. Not for any of those for they. Surely they're much better ways to achieve each. It is again for pure for raw misguided partisanship. That makes them believe playing to our worst instincts somehow is good. They don't need to show you movies to show you that. The riott happened here. We will stipulate that it happened and you know all about it. This is a process fueled irresponsibly by base hatred by these house managers and those who gave them their charge and they are willing to sacrifice our national character to advance their hatred and their fear that one day they might not be the party in power. They have a very different view of democracy and freedom from justice jackson and shown. Basically goes on an illustrates. He says that we don't have don't have the clip. I'm maybe i'll get it for tomorrow. Probably need to make it part of the show opener because it was so good. He says we don't fear democracy. We embrace it. Why is it that the democrats are afraid. The american people will make their own choice again. The democrats know that they can't win at the ballot box. They know that their ideas are generally speaking losing ideas. He hits on this idea that there shall be no trial by legislature more simply trial by legislature. The bill of attained reflected the framers belief that the legislative branch is not so well suited as politically independent judges and juries. When the senate undertakes an impeachment trial of a private citizen has clearly understands to be the case here supported by the facts that the chief justice not providing and mr trump is not the president. It is acting as a judge jury rather than a legislative body. And this is exactly the type of situation that the bill of attained or constitutional provision was meant to preclude. It is clear that disqualification from holding future office the punishment. The mouse managers intend to seek. Here is a kind of punishment like banishment and others. That is subject to the constitutional prohibition against the passage of bills under which under general designation bills of pains and penalties are included cases include. Cummings experts say garland and this brown case the supreme court. Three times struck down. Provisions that precluded support of the south were supportive communism from holding certain jobs as being in violation of this prohibition thus the impeachment of a private citizen in order to disqualify them from holding office is an unconstitutional act constituting ability painter. Moreover this is the exact type of situation in which the fear would be great that some members of the senate might be susceptible to acting in the haste. The house acted in when it rushed through the article of impeachment and less than forty eight hours acting hastily simply to appease the popular clamor of their political base. The very kind of concern expressed by mr hamilton and federalist sixty five. So he's exactly right. There's the idea is that we're not supposed to be tried in the legislature. The legislature is a political animal. We don't want to have political trials in america. The reason that the chief justice is supposed to preside when the president's on trial is because otherwise. I mean he's the only one who who is impartial to the president right so the whole thing is is you know. It's a sham. How else do we say it right. It's a show trial and is not intended for any finding of fact it's not intended for any purpose of justice. It's for one thing and one thing only and that is to try and move public sentiment against donald trump and if they can to prevent trump from running again but ideally if they could do both you know to prevent them for ryan again and then make sure that no one would want to. They really win now. David shown by the way. Somebody's putting the thing in here won't be there friday and saturday he again. "Righty so welcome back the show and so for those of you who Our new again this is listener slash viewers reported just a reminder Shoney's monitor be good if could help with that the The video was of course entirely mid. It was like a master class emotional manipulation right knowing that all hundred of the senators were there that day and all hundred of the centre's had experienced some level of either fear or concern and again and those aren't paid commercials davidson. Thanks for asking. Those are two organizations that i support and i believe in and i think that you know the self promotion. Gene isn't one i have. We're going to have paid commercials at some point. Probably not on the facebook But those are two organizations that i support and anyway so i figured i'd just give them something instead of just always the self promo in the break anyway. The video was entirely emotional manipulation right. That's what it was designed to do designed to hit those senators and to have them get in touch once again with whatever fear or emotion. They felt that day. That was the intention of it now. It caught the republicans totally off guard because they thought yesterday was about jurisdiction. They have a preparation to respond to that but they weren't prepared to respond to it yesterday and so good move on the part of the democrats. Republicans off guard. represents joan goose from colorado. Was the other impeachment manager. Who spoke yesterday. Here's a little bit of what he sounded like like everyone of you. I was in the capital on january. Sixth i was on the floor with lead manager. Ask like every one of you. I was evacuated as this violent mob stormed the capital's gates what you experienced that day. What we experienced that day. What our country experienced. That day is the framers. Worst nightmare come to life. Presidents can't inflame insurrection in their final weeks. And then walk away like nothing happened and yet that is the rule that president trump asks you to adopt. I urge you. We urge you to decline his request to vindicate the constitution to. Let's try this case right. And so they were arguing. They made up this thing. They called the january exception and the basic argument that the democrats put forward. Is that if we can't impeach somebody after they were out of office than all that would happen for people to commit crimes as they would just resign on the last on the last day and they would be scott free. Well the problem with the argument. I live sound good. They even made it sound somewhat. Convincing the problem with the argument is simply this. Why does impeachment exist. What's at four impeachment exists for public office holders who are not subject to regular criminal prosecution because of their public office. So if you commit a crime and you're a congress person you may not be prosecuted for that crime in the same way that another person would because you're in congress so impeachment for that purpose if you're not in congress then the regular criminal laws apply so the idea that if you could just resign then you would have. No penalty is baloney. Because if you committed a crime you committed a crime. It's being office that shield you from typical normal prosecution which is why impeachment exist and so the argument that they're making is that if you can't impeach people who are out of office then people would just resign and get away with it while it's not true and i think if we're going to have go back and start impeaching people for past crimes. We ought to probably start with Maybe with bill clinton for sure would obama administration with hillary on benghazi. I mean there's a lot of past office holders who've done stuff Maybe we ought to just go back and let's just do. Let's complete the nixon impeachment. Why not Yeah i mean how far back do you want to go. so it's it's baloney but the the president did hire a good attorney. David sean one of the things that came up yesterday during the thing they were kept touching his head every time he took water. You take a drink. And he puchased cover. Top has head right but hand on his head ba. Why is it going on..
