"Royal ascot 2022. It is. Day 5, et cetera, and Mark Milligan from time form is alongside me, Mark. Welcome back to the show, my friend. Hello there. It's also always a sad day. I think when we get to the last day of our Alaska because tremendous meetings coming to an end and everything just goes a little bit lucky afterwards, doesn't it for a couple of weeks before we get rolling into July. So what we're trying to do is go out on a high and get at least 6 winners. That is asking too much. Easily. Easily 6. We're gonna shoot the lights out here. Let's go. So the first race is the Chechen. And Alfred mumming has been on the short list for this for quite some time. After blitzing his rivals on debut at leopard stone and will indeed run, he's currently four to 6 6 to four on. For the coolmore team, he's by Dubai out of best in the world, which makes him a full brother to snowfall. So no pressure on this young fellow then. And he's the chosen one for ballet Doyle. There is the deep impact out of rhododendron, but that horse is, as far as we know, is not going to line up. It's all about Alfred mummies. I think he goes Darby weekend instead, augustin wrote in our be completely honest with you. And say, I'm not particularly interested in taking on Alfred morning's and I think the only way that you could back him is to put him in some sort of multiple be that a lucky 31 or an accumulator. Or a double, but just what was your take? Because we actually haven't spoken about him. What was your impression of his victory at leopard stone? Yeah, my take is pretty much the same as yours to be honest. I thought he was wildly impressive on that debut. And I'm certainly in no risk to take him on in this spot for all that he's likely to go off and odds on favorite. As you say, east bred to be a superstar, isn't he? And he looked every inch a superstar in making that winning debut at leopardstown. Anything O'Brien had a lot of debate or beaten relatively short price in this couple of years ago didn't he but I don't think he showed quite the latent potential of Alfred mornings prior to the race and.

"Year five when Samsung's added to the tax rolls there'll there'll be 10 times the size of our largest tax contributor on Day five now On the practical side you ask about. It doesn't mean the county's gonna receive any money. Currently, the 1288 acres is all in the AG exemption. Right? And the county receives a dollar per acre right now. Each year on that property, guys, I'm not kidding. We get $1288. On the one hand right now, with Samsung coming in, even with us, offering them the rebate. One year five when they're fully running, Williamson County will receive $2555 an acre. Wound in year five, and that's with the 90% rebate goes out. I'm telling you, the revenue that will be generated. Um it's going to be amazing and listen incentives that we offered Samsung Words less than what Travis County offered when they brought in Samsung. Because I got to tell you, Samsung is a great world partner. We saw what they did in the main er ist We've seen what they've done in their local community and guys for me. It was about national security. And then it was about securing educational future for kiddos and Taylor. And I'm telling you, Can I tell you about two pieces of the agreement? Yeah. Go ahead. Yeah, Absolutely So. Well, one that Mayor Riddle put in there, and I thought it was just brilliant for the city of Taylor is each year and this is aside from all the taxes and all the benefits each year, Samsung will contribute a minimum of $300,000 a year. Each year for the next 30 years and together they will decide which non profit that goes to is that the boys and girls Club is that Mills on will Right is the white to They get to do that each year now in the county agreement, and this really matter to me, and it really mattered to commissioner Rust bowls as well, too, But we put in the county agreement that Samsung must hired 24 interns a year. For the next 30 years Now, I was told last night by the Vice president, Judge 20 Force of minimum of what we're going to hire. So my point in telling the story is we're pouring back into the kids and guys. We haven't even talked about the economic value to the school system more point back into the kids, but what I want to see is that high school senior intern for Samsung Want to see them go off to college. Then I want to see them return home and maybe have a place to work for the rest of their life. Huge, too. So you go there great Corporate partners, and we're proud of the agreement. No doubt about that. Are we getting ahead of ourselves Because it's not a done deal yet Correct? I mean, they're still considering a couple of other cities. Uh, do you feel like it's a done deal? Well, let me say this. I know that the decision is imminent, and I feel like Williamson County and Taylor. Only good place. Yeah, I know. It's not a done deal. But guys, let me tell you something. The reason why I'm on your radio station this morning, so I can brag about the deal, and I can brag about the company. There are great corporate partner and I want them to do business in our community. And, yeah, I think we're going to land the project. I'm totally against this judge because this is going to make the line at Louie Mueller barbecue even longer, So I am anti Samsung. That's a good point in that regard. There you go. Hey, judge and broke. Uh, do you know they're Louie Mueller is also working on a special recipe of the Korean Barbecue also received the commitment last night from Texas Beer company that when we do make them joint announcement that they're going to have a Samsung blue can and ready to go. So there you go. That'll work, Korean barbecue and a broom When you guys how can they stay away? Can't go wrong with that. Hannah Judge. Thank you so much. We appreciate you be safe out there. The honourable judge bill gravel from Williamson County. Excited man right there. He was very excited. Jump in at 51283605 90 Italian.

Millions Miss President Trump and His Leadership
"Sure Millions of us Miss President Trump very, very much and his policies. And, uh, when you listen to what he says, and you'll notice, I conduct my interviews. I want my guests to speak, particularly a former president, United States. And, um How sensible he is. How rationally is and how, of course, the media try and create A monster out of the man. But when you listen to how he thinks Through what he says. Whether it's Afghanistan, the border, the Middle East, the election and so forth, and so on. Makes an enormous amount of sense, even at the end when he's talking about generals Very few of the guts to mention Robert E. Lee. He's not supporting Robert E. Lee. He's not supporting the Confederacy. The mental midgets around America. This is what they want you to think they'll twist What? Look, They do it with me. And I'm on here three hours a day, five days a week, explaining myself over and over and over again, but they want to twist what you said, because they don't want to argue against what you believe. And who you are. They want to create strawman and foils. To create hysteria. Because their arguments are losing arguments. They're not appealing to the American people unless you can turn somebody into a boogeyman. Which is what they try to do to President Trump. And so you hear them talking about Robert E. Lee that many people think he was a great general. Many people think he was a great general that the Confederacy would have lost a lot faster. Among those was Abraham Lincoln, who thought Robert E. Lee was a great general. Ulysses asked Grant, who thought Robert E. Lee was a great general. He was running circles around the union generals until Ulysse says Grant finally showed up. Which is President Trump's point. Lincoln had to fired general after general till he found Grant and he was advised not to take Grant. But he took him anyway. He took

"Off in practice, we're kind of like offset from where they kick, so we're directly behind one field, they're kicking on the field to Jason from. It's just a really tough angle and we're like, up a hill will be up and down, I believe. Actually, I don't know if it's going to be different this year cuz of covid-19 May from 98 five, The Sports Hub, wrote a good piece, this afternoon that the Celtics may just want to stand Pat. And I know that that may nauseate a lot of Celtics fans and probably rightfully. So but no especially now they especially now that they lost out on lawns. Oh, you have, you know, are you going to sign Patty Mills for big money to our multi-year deal? You're going to sign, you know, some of these other names. Jeff Green, right? Whatever. And it's like you're just going to blow all your money signing. These guys who don't put you over the top, you're just that's just kind of walk again. It's just Gordon Hayward again off or overpaying guys cuz their names and you're not looking at the big picture if they can just stand. Pat signs of one-year deals, Isaiah Thomas has been up there, which has been out there, which would be awesome. I think would be perfect signed to a one-year deal. You put juice on this season. You have no long-term commitment Tatum Brown. And Horford are the only three guys. They assigned be Beyond this here and then I think there's some guys with rookie options, but those are the only three guys they have money Committed Pig. Beyond this year, they're going to have a Max lot in the summer of 2022. That's a great free agency summer. Bradley Beal. Perhaps, Kawhi Leonard and I know that you know this gives life span slash back. So we've waited for the free agents before, it's not a great plan, it's a better plan than Patty Mills. It's a better plan than going for mediocrity. Again, I I think anything short, be all you got to do everything in your power tool and Beale, anything short of that. Even if it means kind of kicking the can down the road, I hate saying that. Cuz I've been saying for years too selfish could should get more aggressive. This isn't the year to be aggressive or free agency class sucks. Don't commit yourself long-term to anybody just try as much as you can to get Bradley Beal especially now that alonso's off the table. I like Lonzo your reason why I like Lonzo off cuz he's a great pastor and he's a good Defender, right? And he's not a type of guy like Marcus Smart and I think it was Chris Mannix who has had the report earlier today, but some people Brad Stevens among them. I've definitely soured on Marcus, Smart jacking up. 20 shots of game, right? That's not the Celtics know that that's not sustainable for them. If they're going to be where they want to go Marcus Martin, he's the kind of buying to a row and I've always loved the Marcus Marr was best for the Celtics even though they played different positions and sort of like a Draymond Green type of role right where where your mate you're facilitating, your rebounding you're playing defense. All these types of things down, Alonso fit that mold a little bit more. He's great, transition player, great passer. I also watched him at UCLA when I lived out in L A. So I'm a little bit a little bit biased. When it comes to life, Lonzo ball, cuz I did see him live at college, but I, I thought that would have been a good one, but he's going to Chicago. Go ahead and jump over and burned down here now. So go ahead and jump over to the Celtics seal and this handle, and they're going to have a free agency special with all the free agent news and how it pertains to the Celtics and everything like that..

"I think a four or five unit player for them. Last year in Vegas. He, he didn't play defense in Vegas last year. He only played specialty, right? Weird. But yeah. No. He's, I mean, he's a guy with an extensive special teams history. Yeah. So he said if you're, we talked about this last year with Brandon Copeland like that felt like the signing that was going to be that that you know, desk linebacker fourth or fifth linebacker, /, special teams a strong and I think that MacMillan is going to be that type of player for the Patriots this year as well and that they always have a spot for a player like that, right? You're going to be a backup Mike and you're going to play in the kicking game. We got a spot for you if that's going to be what they're going to do. And they always really cater to those types of linebackers size players that can run that can play in space. They can make tackles the dead asleep bodes well for Specialties. So did I and X? Yeah. In the difference here cuz you brought up Copeland and it's not you know, not a bad name to bring up, but the Brandon Copeland was 29, right? Yep. Mcmillin is twenty-five. So you do have that short term, special teams potential but I you know I don't think it's unrealistic to think you could see some development from require McMillan and see him develop as a player. The other interesting thing, you know, you talked about them finding these guys who are may be misused elsewhere and McMillan talked about this today. He overlapped with Brian Flores in Miami. I believe it was for only one year, it was in 2019. And then a Vegas last year, but he said, he kind of already understood the system and he, you know, knew the the, the, the Bare Bones of it and nuts and bolts of it. Yeah. Miami was Flores off. And on the flipside, the Patriots got to evaluate him in their system essentially in a system very similar to their so you know you can't help but think they have a very good read on what this guy can be when they brought him in they must have had an idea a plan when they brought him in. Yeah, same with Matt judon with spellcheck talked about this morning and we're going to talk about this in a second just while we're looking forward to and wage. Are going to be have our eye on once the pads. Go on tomorrow for the first time. But Belichick spoke this morning about Matt judon and said basically everything that we're going to ask him to do here. He was already doing in Baltimore. We might call it something a little bit different or we might have a little bit of different terminology than what they did, but he was asked to do the same, you know, techniques and the same things that we're going to do here off the edge operate in a pass-rush package. You know, all these things that Matt judon did with Baltimore translate directly to what they do with the Patriots. So that's why they gave him so much money and that's why they feel like he can hit the ground running. So a lot of these free agent signings as you would expect. This was not we talked about this when they did it. This is not a spending just to spend instance, right? This was calculated spending spree, where we offer guys in here Patriots. Did that what they wanted to do? Right? And I think that that's really important. Now, the last few minutes here. Alex, I want to discuss birth. We're looking forward to tomorrow and the rest of the week. Once the pads..

"Like, quietly just goes about his business and just gets open every single day. 6 a.m. to the hand practice during team drills. I mean, he is the best route runner on the team. Still, I think he's not the most explosive or the, most dynamic route-runner, I guess. Kendrick. Born kind of gives him a run for his money now Entourage. The pier route running ability, but I still think I'd give it to Jacobi. I still think he's going to have a big year. I think having Nelson Aguilar on the outside to give them some speed. Element is really going to open up the middle of the field for him. I had a great day out there today and import Jalen Mills had some tough times, it covering him inside. Well what's interesting about Jacoby is Jacoby was. So so Aguilar had the fourth day. Born had any of the second or the third day. Yeah, we're had the others but Jacoby was probably the second best receiver all of those days, right? Have a bad day. We were just waiting for the Jacoby date the brake and then he had that today and that's going to be fascinating because again that's all Personnel, you're really only going to use two receivers most of the time, all three guys will play. But you're only going to use to most of the time and I'm going to have to be an odd man out and they're going to make it that group a trio of Aguilar born and Meyers and I know you're hesitant to make a girl or the odd man out. I think it might be a little more realistic. And we realize yeah not the way he's performed which is the overall picture. They are making it really tough to figure out who the odd-man-out is in that group because all three have been outstanding to start. Yeah. And that's a good thing. That's a good problem. Yeah. Oh great. Well now not a bad thing at all. I just I really hope that Josh McDaniels gets real creative and runs that fight that group of five out there of a garage or born Myers Johnny with Hunter Henry, right? And you can use jaanu, sort of a tailback HVAC type, to have some sort of backfield threat and maybe even handed him the ball off. Hand the ball off, excuse me, to John it a little bit, just to give that as a threat..

"I've talked about that, so I don't know what that is. But yeah, if I'm telling you which guy do I think has the better path right now, it's Wilkerson, I like wilkerson's chances a lot more faith in the first week, but I'm not going to write Zuber off and I even if he doesn't make it, he's just kind of a unique player and I do think they try to get him back on the practice squad if they can, I don't think they're one bad Camp. I don't think they'd be dead him entirely but there's just going to be such a roster crunch a wide receiver. They're going to have to get creative if they want to keep them, right? I mean you don't keep a player on this team. I mean, I know people are going to say, Well, they're kind of keeping Gunner on the team for returns, but I don't know if you keep a player on the team, if you're already keeping Gunner on the team, just to return punts, like, you can't keep a just a primary guy to return kickoffs. But that is something that I have noticed that and Belichick, in the past is just thrown Brandon Bolden back there. Something like that and just gone for ball security, right? And don't mess it up. But in terms of trying to be explosive off, ma'am. Make returns JJ Taylor, especially as a punt returner has really struggled in practice. He's moved a ton of punts now. Kick returns in kickoffs are definitely a little bit different, right? It's a different type of skill to feel the kickoff, then it is a punt return or a plant, I should say, but at the same time, I don't know if I kind of thought that maybe JJ Taylor could do that and be that sort of kick return, explosive return. Option kind of like, what Dion Lewis was like when he was here. I'm not sure if I trust JJ Taylor based off of what I've seen to get back there. So if they're looking for an explosive kickoff returner it's definitely building can go back there and feel the ball and not fumble, right? I mean he can do that but if they're truly looking for an explosive guy back there than Zuber seems to be the best option..

"To think of or I'll try to think of another example that to say that with but the point is is that he's not heat word watching him against guys like agholor Kendrick, Bourne, Jacoby Myers, we're watching him up against the Patriots starting secondary from periods of time and he is hanging holding his own on all these things. And that is really think very impressive and like I said he runs very very good routes. He's got explosive. Yep. Ability. And he also has the ability to play in the kicking game and if you're going to be wide receiver for we're wide receiver 5 on the depth chart, we know Gunners going to return kicks. You must have a role in a second game or you're not you're probably not going to make the team and you're definitely not going to be active on game day. If you're on 53 and you don't have a role on special teams and your wide receiver for or wide receiver 5. So make sure that he's rapping with the special teamers. The fact that he's playing with guys that are going to be here in are going to be regular figures on the offense. A lot of arrows pointing towards Christian Wilkerson and I am in my notebook that when I spoke to people that were sort of in those players, only practices like the ones out west or the ones here locally in Massachusetts. A lot of people, a lot of trainers, those types of people hyping up Christian Wilkerson and sometimes you don't look too much into those things and you say oh you know they're just typing up their guy and they're just trying to get him out there in the media, but he's really lived up to the job. That I was hearing about him over the summer was at. This was a guy that was coming a guy that was playing well in the practice squad last year and is now playing well and Training Camps. So we'll see if you can keep it up once the pads come on. But he also had a pretty good camp from what I recall down in Tennessee. They they were pretty surprised or that he got cut and it wasn't really a surprise was just that they had some they have a very, very deep wives your group not so much anymore but last year they had Corey Davis. AJ Brown Adam, Humphries, you know, they, they had a deep group. So, it wasn't necessarily that Christian Wilkerson didn't deserve a spot, they just didn't have a spot for him down here. They they definitely have a spot for him, right? If he can play like this and I think he's going to make the team. But what does this mean? I saw this in the chat Bill Belichick was asked about this this morning about n'keal Harry. He actually took some positive things about nikhil Harry's progress, and we're talking about Wilkerson potentially filling out this depth chart..

"That from him. In these few practices, then we did last year so you know, I can't point to something today and say, well, that was a jump but it's been a steady improvement over the five or five days of Camp. Over this pre padded, you know, part of camp. And as Bill will say, this is the teaching. And the teaching. Comes to an end. And he called what did he call the padded practice? Actually have it right here, something like a real football environment. Yeah, real okay. Yeah. You'll football. Type conditions was his quote, this morning will be play will get used to playing in more real football type condition. So this is when we're really see tomorrow, how some of that Cam Newton stuff translates once, you know, Corners can jam is wide receivers linebackers can jam the tight ends and upset that timing a little more. But, you know, he put down a good base. He put down a good base over these last couple of days, he did I think everything that you hoped he would do and we'll see where he goes from there, right? And a lot of people, I think, assume that black quarterbacks things don't really change for them in the pads, go on because they're still not getting hit in practice but the speed of the game around them really accelerates once you get the pads on and the physicality for the receiver in the windows for the receivers. Now you got safety is coming down on you and you got Windows closing faster and everybody else is moving a lot quicker. So even though the quarterbacks are still in the red non-contact jerseys them Not getting hit, we really are going to learn everything that there is to learn once we get to that point. Now is Cam today. I thought that today was one of his lesser dead is certainly but not not a day where I'm sitting here saying, oh no, like did they can't start this guy, but he didn't make one throw to Jacobi Myers and I wanted to talk about Jacoby Myers here in.

He does not have to give any updates at all in the preseason. Not until the regular season does he have to put out on the steelers organization as an official injury report. But here's what tomlin said had a number of guys at nissim work for a variety of reasons. Most of which we've been talking about. He's i gave ben rothlisberger the day off for personal reasons. He's been excused by me. We look forward to getting back tomorrow. Other guys that are working their way back getting back to us. We'd expect those guys to be back in a short number of days so there you have it from the head coach himself. Mike tomlin speaking of pat farm. Ethan tight ends. He was asked can he block. He's already shown his athleticism he's already shown his ability to catch the ball run. Good routes he said quote. It's hard to show. You can block with only helmets on. My job is to make catches in block ends and block linebackers. I've had a good couple of days but the real work starts tomorrow. The pads go on. And i've got to prove i can block defense events so pat farm youth. I mean the sounds like a pretty humble kid. We'll put it that way. We'll put it that way. So in iran during his session he was asked basically or he was asked about. Hey you know what do you think about. And she's me what. What do you think about like run blocking. He's said look that they don't they being the steelers. They don't draft a running back in the first round to have our tight ends not block so in other words when they drafted nause harris first overall we have to understand we are going to block and he was then given a follow up question which was how do you feel like you blocked last season and would you have to become a better blocker. Here's what he said. Quote absolutely. I feel that was something. We were all terrible at last year as you saw in a lull in the running game period as a complete unit off offensive line and tight ends. I feel like we all should do better including myself. Yeah if you want to get paid and you want to perform and you want to be amongst the best you've got to be able to block. Yeah that's a pivotal part of our focus this year and so eric hebron along with the tight end group are really putting it that emphasis on blocking on improving the running game. It's alfredo robertson. You tight ends coach. We've heard from canada from adrian klemm. And we've heard it all the way up the coaching staff. And even to our rene the second team president. They are focused on blocking and getting the running game going. We'll see if that plays out or not. And i think tomorrow wednesday is going to be a step in that direction. One way or the other. We will be here for you. No matter what to talk about the pittsburgh steelers the training camp practice. It was if you're curious what their schedule is. This week The steelers don't really make this public. I don't feel like it's that big of a deal to tell you but i will anyways When you're looking at the practice schedule this week. They practice wednesday thursday friday and saturday in their off on sunday. So that means that you will be getting a lot of jeff hartmann this week. Some might say ugh. That's horrible and some my day. I love jeff. Doesn't matter i'm going to be here no matter what so. Make sure you check out my. Let's ride podcast tomorrow. Wednesday as well as the training camp. Recap podcast later in the afternoon and evening and make sure behind the curtain dot com or one stop shop for all things pittsburgh steelers as they get ready for this training camp. "This is Seattle's Morning news, Dave Ross with Heather Bosch and Chris Sullivan. Pfizer is working on a booster to tackle the Delta variant and not a moment too soon. Let's call him the doctor, Dr Gordon Cohen, MD. And Dr Cohen. You were telling me that Your son had a close encounter with Delta. Yeah, it's sort of interesting, And by the way, I have permission from the people involved in this discussion to talk about this. One of my sons was going on a trip with his girlfriend and just prior to Them leaving the girlfriend's roommate got infected with Covid. Despite having been fully vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine. The girlfriend then went and got tested for Covid and was negative and so off. They went now the girlfriend was also fully vaccinated with the vaccine, as are all my sons vaccinated. Anyway, they went off on their trip and three days into the trip. They both on the same day got sick and the girlfriend tested positive for Covid and my son tested negative and the PCR test. He actually had an entire entire viral panel, And he tested positive for rhinovirus, which is one of the viruses that cause the common cold. So it's sort of interesting that he got a common cold during the non cold season while his girlfriend got covid. Now it turns out that there was a study published in the Journal of Infectious Disease. Actually, just in March of this year that actually shows that human rhinovirus, which is what he had Blocks replication of the coronavirus itself. What that's sort of interesting because it creates a sort of complicated situation for testing. Because there's actually a false negative rate with the test. False negative means that you test negative despite having covid whereas a false positive means you test positive, But you don't have covid. The false positive rate is really close to zero. The false negative rate has been reported anywhere between like 10 and 30%. So he tested positive for rhinovirus. We know that he had a strong exposure to Coronavirus. Was it possible that the rhinovirus was suppressing the replication of the coronavirus such that the test couldn't pick it up. But he in fact Had it now, are you? Are you saying that the rhinovirus binds to some of the same receptors, the covid wood and access almost like, uh, an inoculation? Well, we know that there are virus virus interactions that take place in epidemiology, especially when it pertains to respiratory infections. So not that it's blocking anything per se, but rather that the the presence of the rhinovirus can actually interfere with the replication kinetics of the stars Kobe to virus When you look at it in the cells that line the respiratory tract, and that's what they have found in this study out of the UK But it still represents an interesting dilemma for testing because if you have somebody that tests positive for the rhinovirus, it's still possible. I guess that they could have the coronavirus, but it's just There's not enough coronavirus by sea. So the rhinovirus the rhinovirus could actually for purposes of the test anyway, be masking the presence of the coronavirus. Yeah, Bingo. That's exactly right. In the end, he had symptoms for a few days. The problem is the symptom for a common cold are really almost identical to those four. Coronavirus, especially in somebody who's not really ill and being that they're in their twenties. They didn't get that ill, but they certainly were symptomatic. But he was able to get a another test on day seven and it was negative, and according to the CDC guidelines, he could stop his period of quarantine as long as you had a negative test after day five. I'm glad things worked out. Okay for your son Gordon. Dr. Gordon Cohen, MD Doctor Cohen. Thanks very much. Thanks, Dave..

The sky was clear. The afternoon was perfect. He strolled through the university of leuven campus. Until he found a vantage point it was an ideal spot to watch the sunset. But that wasn't exactly what the professor had in mind for months. Meese in had been obsessed with the miracle of the sun. So yeah yeah so your new york and merle. Last time we talked you really interesting background. Mature like a professional dancer Yes actually my first career was dancing in a ballet company. And i believe that everything that i know in life and business. I learned in ballet class all right now. You can't just run by that. Let's so what are these these things. Let's start with the life. We'll go to sales after that. Well it's it's very. It's really very similar. What i learned in ballet class was warm up. rehearse perform. That's what i learned in ballet class because when you are a dancer take expat ten years to train a ballet dancer and you take a ballet class every single day five or six days a week and when you're training you take two three four classes a day and you do the same thing over and over and over again and that you learn your technique you learn your craft when you have a performance coming up you don't just run out on stage and start dancing practice were first and then and only then after you have trained in you have learned your craft and you have rehearsed then you perform. I think that it is true. It is a life lesson and it is also a business in sales lesson because unfortunately when it comes to sales so many people just start with the performance. They're just winging it on stage and they're making it up as they go along and unfortunately that's why it doesn't work for them

The Last American Vagabond
"day five" Discussed on The Last American Vagabond
"This is the new thing. they're building. Find the courage to say no now. Meanwhile when victoria daniel andrews says there's only nineteen active cases as were forcefully arresting pastors. For being being outside but quote we must assume assume that there are further cases in the community. Okay so now there's only nineteen which by the way it should be enough to go back to normal but now we just now we're just gonna assume there might be more danger. Did i not tell you this would happen. Whatever they can do. They're going to keep this going quote. It's moving at velocity. That has not been seen anywhere. You the thing. They're assuming is there. That's really intelligent. And our country over the course of the last twelve months says the uk is a huge concern variant. The even though we don't have a lot of cases and we haven't seen this. We're gonna sue probably there until we noticed something and then we'll justify the fact that we never ended the thing we shouldn't be doing in first place and as derek points out grocery stores with long lines as people are star are freezing to death in places like poor. Shouldn't you know. I'm being facetious but horrible way. I'm sure people probably are literally in what's going on out there but people are freezing. People can't feed their families because of what's going on in portland in texas and what we're seeing is police guarding garbage cans to stop people who can't feed their families for taking food that was thrown away just below this. You could see star wilson one of the modern the jets seeing right here that she's on day five or no power it's just this is sickening and going back to the point. Remember that this is something that the government failed you on. They failed they did not do. This is texas alone but realized there did not do what they should have done to. Make sure that this didn't become the problem that it clearly became because they failed to do what they're supposed to do. Wild screening up masks and focusing on the things that gave them power and resources and funding and happily taking your tax dollars to not do what they were supposed to lost my place..

The Daily Meditation Podcast
How To Manage Stress, And Adapt To Change
"This is episode two thousand two hundred and twenty. Six of the daily meditation podcast. I'm mary medically and welcome back to dave five. We are mid week in our series. And i wonder how you're doing with your quest this week if you're new here every week we do a challenge where you go on a quest to take you a little more deeply into today's theme well on day five of our theme to manage stress triggers. You're going to be guided in a meditation to focus on one of the biggest stress triggers out there and that is how to manage stress from job loss or loss of any status. Having to do with how you view your self image so this could even do with a volunteer position or a few go to school not participating in a sport or activity or something where you gain a lot of value and a source of your identity so your challenge is to look for the opportunities in regard to stress. There's usually a hidden silver lining that. I'd you may not notice right away because you could be so absorbed in managing your stress but in hindsight when the dust settles you can usually find opportunities. That weren't there before even if you had to learn a hard lesson you've gained so much value. And that makes you a little wiser and it also usually requires you to reach out for additional resources that you may not have had previous to the particular stress you're experiencing today with the corona virus. Many people have changed the way they work. Or if you're a student out there the way you go to school you might not be able to go to the meetings where people looked up to you or take part in sport where you stood out and you gain so much value from being on a team. Many of you have reached out to let me know you feel like you're going through a bit of an identity crisis. I want to share a message from my fellow meditators. This is from kim who's reaching out from baton rouge louisiana and kim says that she is stuck at home. She says that even though many people tell her how lucky she is that she's able to finally work from home. She feels like it's a big loss in her life. She says when. I wake up in the morning. I don't feel that same urge to get up and start my day. I feel a sense of drag feeling stuck at my makeshift desk in my home. I miss seeing my colleagues. I even miss things such as the rickety chair at work and the coffee maker. that never worked correctly. I miss connecting with people. I realize how much of a sense of identity. I gained from simply being in a different location. I felt like when i would go to work. That i was up to something important that i had a mission that i mattered. And now i feel like i live in the shadows. Thank you so much. Kim for your honesty for sharing your heart in this message. I think we all feel a little like we're living in the shadows because we're trying to be so careful with the coronavirus. I take a walk at least once a day. Where i live and i was just noticing the other day how it now seems normal to see someone approaching and to distance myself as far as i can from the person so this is definitely a different way of life that we're living and even if we're out there among people were still most of us being careful trying to distance ourselves as best as we can. So that's what this episode is all about and asher guided in today's meditation. I'm going to guide you to feel a sense of opportunity or freedom if you're experiencing a loss of status or a sense of feeling as though you're not able to be fully who you are so as you get ready to settle yourself down and meditate set up street and closure is

Covid-19 Antibody Drug Cocktail From Eli Lilly Cleared for Use
"Well, I I met Dr Heath last week. Finally in person. I've been a part of the monoclonal antibody study that u A B Did. It's medicine that was given or not given either got the placebo or the medicine from Eli Lilly. And I understand now as we were talking about this doctor this past Friday that that medicine Is now actually being given to patients that come in sick. I just missed that window of decision. And so how is that going? How are people responding? And what is that medicine? So there's a couple of different medicines that are available there. All monoclonal antibodies, which is basically just an antibody, or an immune response has been created by a drug company. And you and many other people who contributed to these studies helped us determine that in particularly high risk patients, this decreases Hospitalizations by 70%. And so when we think about all the people who have had severe disease from this virus on by numbers of people that have passed away from this virus It is really a major breakthrough of giving a treatment in the outpatient setting very early in the disease course to try toe, decrease the severity of the disease and let people have a mild or course of illness. It's my understanding is that the way the drug works is the spikes on the actual cell of the Corona virus are what causes the replication in this drug attacks that and stops replication so beyond day five or six is it too late then The Corona virus is already you know, been passed that stage and has replicated Well, we sort of think about it is the horse out of the barn yet and if we can get it into people within the first five days that is most beneficial, but were actually allowed to give it in up to the 1st 10 days. After that, 10 day point, you start to have so much inflammation in the body that giving more anti viral or antibody type medicines may not be as beneficial and so our goal is to get people diagnosed as quickly as possible, referred as quickly as possible and treated as quickly as possible before the horse gets out of the

A Man of Wealth of Taste
"The quest for immortality the urge to escape the inevitability of death has long been a preoccupation for us as evidenced by the ancient sumerian poem the epic of gilgamesh the oldest example of written literature known today in the poem written sometime around eighteen hundred bc in mesopotamia. The titular gilgamesh part hero part. Arrogant demi-god undertakes nordic Mission to find the secret to immortality ought to being confronted by the inevitability of his own death though we might not be demigods like gilgamesh his desperate refusal to accept the inevitability of his fate is a deeply human one and something that many of us can sympathize with whether we elect to place our hopes in the promises of religious teachers or in the invention and imagination of our leading bio gerontologist those that studied the mechanics of aging throughout many of us. Who haven't contemplated the possibility of existing forever in one form or another however although some of those may want for it being mortal israeli portrayed as something desirable and at the very least. There's something that can only be achieved at a great cost from the burdens of connor macleod in his pursuit to become the only remaining highlander to the pitiful efforts of melmeth the wanderer to convince another soul to take on his pact with the devil in return for another one hundred fifty years of life. In fact we take great pains to dissuade ourselves from wanting it. Perhaps this is simply to provide some comfort in the face of such a futile desire. But it doesn't stop us trying back in october this year. A team led by tel aviv. University professor shy f ratty published the results of an extraordinary study in the journal aging study to determine the effect of pure oxygen on the aging process involved placing thirty five adults over the age of sixty four in a hyperbaric chamber and giving them pure oxygen for ninety minutes a day five days a week over the course of three months through this process of frats team found they were able to successfully limit the build-up of senescent cells in the body cells. The today's to the point where they can no longer replicate leaving the body. Susceptible to many age related diseases incredibly not only to this delay the aging process but actually reversed it. Aubrey de grey. One of the best known by. Oh gerontologist has long insisted that medical technology will one day allow us to control the aging process. Even making the stunning claim this back. Two thousand and eight that the first person who lives to one thousand years old is already alive today through some however who'd say that this person isn't just a live right now but they've already lived to be a thousand years old. You're listening to unexplained. And i'm richard mclean smith. It was sometime in the seventeen. Seventies that counted adema marie-antoinette's personal attendant. I met him for her. It was his is most stood out. They were like nothing. She never seen before his teeth to were immaculate and all the more noticeable for being framed by such a thick head of luxury jet black hair and his clothes were simple they were nonetheless made from the finest materials decorated with the most exquisite jewellery. It wasn't a period. She assumed would be accompanied by a certain steely if not arrogant countenance however when she finally plucked up courage to approach one afternoon at the court though was penetrating so too. Was it soft and inviting despite everything countess. It heard about the man. It was quite something to see him.
