The rundown of Saturday Games for Week 15 of the NFL season

Quarterback Kirk Cousins passed for 460 yards. Great to win, great to come back. I had no idea it was the largest NFL history. Something like that doesn't happen to average people. So I'm proud of the way the group did that. Receivers, KJ Osborne, and Justin Jefferson combined for 280 yards. Minnesota now 11 and three, the colts four 9 and one. I'm Tom mccabe. Next up, an AFC north battle where the ravens push for the division title suffered a setback in Cleveland. Craig heist is this one. Deshaun Watson threw for 161 yards and a touchdown winning his home debut as the browns upset the ravens 13 to three. Watson hit Donovan people's Jones with a three yard scoring pass in the third quarter capping off a 91 yard drive. He says the browns played well in all three phases, special teams, defense offense, played complimentary football as defensive way. We went against a great defense. You got to give them credit. But it was special to be able to get this video in front of the fans. The ravens rushed for 198 yards with JK dobbins, rushing for a 125. I'm Craig heist. It was really, really cool. John, do they do this? Because I've never heard of the fan of the year with the NFL team. They do this all the time, or is this something new? And what is the process now? Is it voting up through week 15 or how does this work? You know, I don't know when the voting stops. I'm not sure on that. And I think this is the third year of it. I'm not positive on it. I don't think that much has been really made of it before because of the COVID stuff. So. It seems like it's a bigger, bigger thing this year. And bills mafia is known for being very passionate, having a very active fan base. What can bills mafia do for the voting right now for you? Because you're in the running for the league wide NFL fan of the year. What can people do? Look at bills mafia do to help in that regard. So I guess if you go on the NFL website or if you just Google NFL fan of the year, it comes up and it has the lineup of every team's fan of the year and you can just click on my picture and vote now and you can vote all day. It doesn't seem to cut you off. So I give you so if you take me to the Super Bowl John that I can just keep hitting your name again and again and again and again and again. All right, we got a deal. I'll be honest, John, I'm looking at some of these other contenders. You got to use a walk in the park. It better be. Sure, that'd be nice. I don't even know what I'd win, but I'll take it. How great would it be that, you know, Bill zeldas, John Lang from Niagara county, wins fan of the year and the bills are in the Super Bowl. What are your thoughts on that one? That would be the coolest. Yeah, absolutely, yes. That would be just amazing. And I know you were, again, you were in Detroit for the bills browns games. What are your thoughts? Speaking of bills mafia, what are your thoughts about all of the different ways everyday members of bills mafia just average folks digging out guys like Josh Allen, Dawson Knox and making sure they actually got to the facility in Orchard park to go to the game in Detroit. Yeah, I tell anybody the bills mafia where the craziest yes and the hardiest yes, but we are also the most generous fan base that there is. If there's a cause or something that needs to be done, it just seems like the bills mafia people step up and it gets done. It's just absolutely amazing. That's something else.

"I think that when you look at the NFL game, what you have to understand is what happens in college is going to come to the NFL eventually. Yep. I don't watch very much college football. I know Nick probably watches a lot more. But since when the quarterbacks dominate the college game, they don't. What dominates? Talent and the ability to get off the field once in a while. Georgia won that national championship game because they have a lot of weapons and they have some good guys on defense, fast guys on defense and they were able to stop Alabama enough times. That's what the game is. And so to me, when you look at it, the patriarchs don't have enough viable weapons where you can spread them out or scheme it where the defense has to cover these guys and make it easier for the offense. That's what makes your offense unstoppable. That's what made the bills unstoppable, not Josh Allen. It was the emergence of Gabriel Davis and Cole Beasley. And Dawson Knox and Isaiah McKenzie, along with stuff on Diggs, you put all those guys out there. What the hell is the defense supposed to do? Somebody's going to be open to get or at least somebody's going to have a good matchup. You know, why did you know why did San Francisco beat Aaron Rodgers? You know, one of the greatest quarterbacks that we've ever seen. Because they had a good defense that could generate negative plays and cover the packers. And so to me, the Patriots right now, their issues are about not enough weapons to make the defense respect them and make them tougher to defend. And not enough speed and cover guys and guys just can create negative plays on defense. You up the Patriots talent level and those areas and I don't know how long it's going to take, but you up there their ability in those areas and the Patriots are right there with any of them with Mac Jones. I agree with you. Look at all the teams that are left, right? I mean, the rams, they go out and they get OBJ to help with all the other weapons that they already had. You look at the niners, not a good offense, like Jimmy G is not good, but we stop with the Jimmy gioli does his win stuff. Yeah, all he does is win win his special teams comes up with four miraculous plays in a playoff game when his defense is playing out of their minds when they can run for 200 yards. Yeah, he wins because he stays out of the way long enough. But they have debo Samuel who, to me, is one of the best offensive players in football. When you look at obviously the AFC, Jamar chase, going to the Cincinnati Bengals, change that offense, even though I still would have liked them to pick an offensive lineman in their O line as trash and they gave up 9 sex last weekend..

"I feel like Gilmore got the number one guy, they trusted him to take the number one guy by himself, but we'll see how much Bill how much faith maybe it's more about Jalen mills, and it is about JC Jackson, but I'm interested to see if there is sometimes when they put Jackson over on Gabriel Davis and roll the coverage over to jaylen mills was to fond digs. Yeah, and I do think they have started to play a little bit more man in the past couple weeks and maybe that was the bills kept threatening that seam. Gabriel Davis caught the touchdown. He should have had another touchdown. I thought mills got a little bit away with holding slash pass interference. And I'm surprised it didn't go back to that on the final play. So yeah, we could see more of that. That's a good call. I mean, if they, because I think the Patriots, they know everybody was like, oh, they play a lot of zone, and then of course they zag to that and play a little bit more man and mix in more man. If they do go more man in this game. Yeah, I think that's a good call that you put you put Jackson on Davis and then sort of bracket stuff on Diggs and then make Josh Allen throw underneath to make a living with Dawson Knox and, you know, whoever else he has. Right. So moving along, 'cause I gotta get out of here and go to my kid's hockey game. So the bet online for this game, patriots are favored by two and a half at home, Evan, I don't know if you've made a call on this game yet. Which way are you leaning on this? I also feel a little bit skeptical of the Patriots in this game the same way you do. But I look at that last matchup I look at what Josh Allen has put on tape the last couple of weeks. And I just don't see him having the patience and the ability or just the trust in himself or whatever it is to take a profit. To just take the underneath stuff and dinkin dunk his way down the field, he wants to hold the ball. He wants to extend plays. He wants to push the ball down the field. And I think that plays exactly into what the Patriots want him to do. If you want to play that type of game, I think they feel good about their coverage guys holding up and their pass rush getting home. So I really feel like this game is all on Josh Allen's shoulders. If he's willing to take the underneath stuff and take a chunk at a time, instead of trying to hold out for the bigger play in Buffalo will win. They had a ton of success throwing that little hook or curl route underneath the defense last time they hit it a couple times for some big plays. And then he just was reluctant to throw it, right? He threw it once or twice and hit some big ones and then he never threw it again the rest of the game. So it doesn't have that faith or that ability that we're with all to do that. I'm still skeptical because I still haven't seen him do it. So that's really where this game comes down to it for me and if the Patriots can bait him into holding the football then I think they'll win again. Yeah..

And i think you solid eagles tight ends did against the chiefs last week and they should have had an even bigger game if they gave got hurts the touchdowns that they got total. So maybe there's gonna be a rough stretch coming up but let's just keep it short term with knock the rough stretch though it's going to be a top twelve guy and we live jacksonville jets. "You know, the bills just finished having the most successful offense in franchise history with Basically little to no production from the tight end position. And so when you look at that you go okay. Can you have a great offense without a great quarterback? It probably rare. Can you have a great offense without a great wide receiver? Probably rare. Can you have a great offense without a great tight end? Yes, you absolutely can so becomes of it. I never look at the tight end position as being a massive, overwhelming need. In regards to Zachary. Be okay with it. I'm fine with it. I'm not interested in giving up a significant asset for it. I know what that curses at this point in his career right? He moved the sixth player. He's someone who I think, ironically, would potentially become more important of an acquisition. If Cole Beasley actually ends up retiring as he mentioned on social media as an aside right if that ended up actually happening, then I think exactly. It actually becomes a more important acquisitions because the world he feels especially on third down, making sure you can move the sticks. But he's not a dynamic down the field stretched right and he's not giving your offense a Massive upgraded dynamism, so I'm okay. Getting him. I'm not going to lose sleep if they don't. Yeah, I I think I'm right there with you. I I I'm leaning into the Dawson Knox. Uh, Growth, I guess, right, like third year for everyone, I I will die on this point that third the third year of any player in the NFL is really the year you find out if a good player can be an elite player, and oftentimes the same can be said about average players Turning into or or or, you know, basically, um, you know, replacement level players turning into good quality starters that typically will will present itself in year three, and I think it's a big one. Yeah, I think you probably right. With Adam crowd Worst here on W. G. R. Adam, I said before about wanting to drill on the bills with you. What do you want to do with their running backs? They didn't add. They didn't draft Travis Ctn. They might have wanted to But they did not end up doing that. You have met Brita here to join Singletary and Moss. What are these guys worth to you? Oh, man, you know No, not not a lot. I mean, they're going In the mid rounds rounds night. I think around nine is where Moss is starting to go around 10 and I just don't and I as a bills fan, I love the fact that like They're not pounding the ball with their running backs. But you know as a fantasy guys, I can't believe that one of the best offenses in the entire league has a running back corps that we can't draft. We can't feel comfortable about. You know, we get them and it's like You know, we're super excited. It's like our fourth or fifth running back. Yeah, muscles going in the in the ninth round. So you know, I think it's a situation where what I've been doing is I've kind of been, if a, uh in the mood to kind of dressed some of those bills running backs if I need maybe I'm running a zero RB built and I just need some guys to get me some some carries week. One week. Two, Um You know, I'm going Moss, and then I'm going breed a little later on. I think Singletary's had his shot just to kind of be the guy there. I think he's just a running back. Just another guy. So To me. I like Moss because I think they still think he can be can be the guy. They didn't dress. Anybody significant. Um and Brita. You know, some people said maybe maybe he's got dead legs like maybe he just You know, he just he's done in the NFL. But, you know, two years ago, he was so explosive for the Niners. I mean, he was one of the one of the fastest touchdown runs of the entire year. He's not. He's not old, So it's a situation where I like mosque. If I'm going to take one in the ninth. And then you know, breed is free. You can get greeted with one of your last picks. Because, you know, I I think Singletary doesn't offer anything that Moss can't give them. But Brita offers that, you know, kind of like that third down, pass catching role or that big playability. That you're never going to start him with moss and single tier there, But if Singletary goes down in Moscow's down, he could be that that that flex guy for you, especially in the best ball, you know if he could. If he can bust off one or two long touchdown runs this year hole, we'll find a starting spot for you a couple weeks. Adam Dawson Knox So we can say we did the whole offense. Any any value Do you think they get Zach Ertz? I think hurts. I mean, I'm the one asking the questions as opposed to sometimes on our podcast where it's back and forth. But I'll just say, I think Hurts plays in the league. I mean, I think we all think Philadelphia wants to be rid of them. And that hasn't happened yet. But it's not like he's gonna tell exact Hertz is going to go host jeopardy right? Like I think he I think he plays in the league under a different contract. Maybe that's here. And so He is relevant to me and fantasy. I mean later on For sure. Like I would love birds to come to come to Buffalo. I think he would be. He would be excellent. Um, he's trying to. He's only 30. He turns 31. In November, like in tight ends can play a little bit longer than most people think He's only 30. He had three elite years before last year that whole Philly Situation was just a debacle. So if you just write off last year and thinking, Well, it's 30 years old. I think you still got something left in the tank. I think he'd be great for them for attempted to pick up. I think he's so good or could be still so good. Dawson Knox. He's all value right? Like he's going super late in in most Non. So I play FF PC. We started premium and most non turning premium dress. She doesn't even get drafted, You know? So, um, he's been working with what like a hand eye specialist or something to catch the ball like He's all he's all value. You know the problem There is, You know, I just can't see the bills force feeding him into a into a role where you would make him a top 12 tight. Andrew in the top 15 fantasy tight ended unless there was an injury or unless something happens to Colby easily, but He's young Titantic three or four years, usually to to develop. He shown flashes great over the shoulder diving catches against New England running people over against sentence in ATI, So he's shown the ability it's just being consistent and the bill showing showing that that trust in him. You really don't want to hear that One of your key pass catchers is seeing a coordination specialist. Sure, I think that isn't what you want to hear. Well, let me ask you about one guy who's not on the bills, but I think it's kind of a polarizing. Player right now prominent player in drafts. Were you here? Yes, I'm all over it. And no, thank you. It's too late, and that's Ezekiel Elliott. So most players seem to think it's vital to get a running back in round one. Not always. There's different strategies, of course, but Elliott Can get up into the top five. I mean, think of what he's been. Prescott gets hurt and sort of, like last year almost doesn't count. Maybe But then you know, he's not very efficient. Actually. Elliot, you're a big Pff guy. I know. Elliot is not a favorite at Pff. Maybe Pollard's even better. And you know you just he might be. You might rank him outside of your top 10, in which case you'd never draft him. So which is closer to how you feel. Yeah, I, uh, would certainly did your draft him And it's not even because I mean you could I would. I would buy the argument that Tony Pollard's better better than Zeke Elliott, but it doesn't really matter. Right. So Zeke's the guy there. He makes a ton of money, and I don't think six that bet again. It's a situation where He's not old. Um he's had a ton of carries. He has, but I think it's a situation where I think he may have mentally checked out when deck was down, and the offense couldn't old line was just decimated with injuries. He went from a guy that never fumbled ever in life. The fumbling like six times over the course of two games. I think he was just mentally out of it. Um, and he was dealing with a little bit of an injury there to power got in and got to start head over 30 fantasy points. So he's a guy that I that I would definitely take again. I'm a two base drafters. He's at the end of it cure for me. Right now. He's going, um as the sixth overall pick in the first in the first round, I would put Barkley ahead of him. I would put Henry ahead of then Camara Cook Christian McCaffrey. Um, Jonathan, I think he's in that right there with the Jonathan Taylor. Tyree kill spot. Um, you know if I took Barkley and we've talked about this all the time, If I took Barkley, I would absolutely target Tony Pollard. Because I think Tony Power is one of the very few handcuffs. Um How physical Hollister could be. And I certainly saw last year that Dawson Knox took a step forward in the physicality department Marketing department. I showed that to you, um So Yeah, there It gives him some flexibility and Hollister's I think Is a component to what they would like to have at their disposal. I'm not saying they're going to go this way all the time, but to have that in your toolbox on any given Sunday, you get into a game. It's like, Wait a minute. Wait a minute. Look at what they're doing. We can get 12 personnel now and crush him right now. In this serious and away you go, and that's the kind of tempo so they can't sub. And you gotta you gotta have that ready because when you you know if If it's Lee Smith. It's very different matchup problem than it is with Jacob Hollister.
