"Able to get the job done. But i don't know that dame trust his help so many people like nancy mccullough made enough mccullough. May chris middleton. He's a he's a lower tier number two but is he pulled up the top number twos and real number twos. Not the fringe batman. But the ones we know we're shirley robbins. And you look at the paul george who shirley rob into kawai you look at the chris. Middleton who shirley robinson. Chris stops shirley. Robin to luca and you look at c. J. c. j. hangs right there with autumn casts points per game rebound for game a little bit lesser assists per game. He's right there in the middle but as points is a little bit higher so we don't sit here and act like cj. Mccullum is just a slouch. That's what we're not don't do. But he's not getting a job done in congruence with dame so dame has to go either because he does not trust or allow. cj to get the job done or cj ain't good enough to the job done one of the two must be true because slick there was a splash. Brothers khris middleton has the opportunity to go out there and ball but it is only never dane never c. j. time is not the lice gambro's time abbott result dame gotta go because the combination of damon the squad that he has typically been paired with. Isn't getting the job done. I'm not gonna fall. See dave mccullough. I'm not vote. Norm powell. I'm not gonna fall. Gary trenton company when gary trent was there because i thought gary trent will the quality player in the role he was playing but whatever combination. It is ain't working indus-. I think danger go all right so no. He shouldn't go because there's a third option to you. The options that you presented one that he doesn't trust those that are around them or to that they're not good enough they'll have that correct just starting to say the third is is damian. Lillard good enough to get it done as the catalyst the champion tab and don't just fall in love with characters what we fall in love with stories for all that lebron is accomplished. What's the greatest thing that lebron is a copies going back to his hometown. Being down three one and winning a championship and damian lillard story is the one of the great stories. He's the guy that came out of oakland but he didn't play for the soldiers the lebron and the gray eighteen soldiers. He played for the rebels and then he didn't go to. Unc or do kerr louisville or are ucla. He went to weaver state and then stayed there four years and yet somehow it was a lottery. Pick and then somehow was rookie of the year over. Anthony davis and bradley beal and then goes to portland. Portland which to your. Your point like has not won a championship. Since bill and then he becomes a number of other things a six time all star in nine seasons a six time all nba selection. And the question. Now is and we've talked about this in other segments. You need to be an athletic freak. You need to be that. It's overwhelming dominant two way player in order to lead a team to a championship in this day and age. That's not damian lillard. He is maximized what he is as a player. But these are all of his accomplishments. Now if you go to the other side and you look at what. He has done individually. he's never wanna scoring title. Never won an assist title in fact the only two categories that i could find that he has led the entire league for a season. Our field goals missed and minutes played. So i can look at this. Two ways i can look at it as damian. Lillard is being under served by the team around him. Or i can look at it and say you know what damian lillard is a great player and looked at one of the great point guards of this era but is he good enough to be the face of a franchise that wins the championship. Or does he. Much like steph curry. I believe need the right perfect pieces around him in order to get it done but in any case if he leaves to just to get that title then he ruins his story and it ruins everything else that he's accomplished if i'm dame dollar who first of all i'm hot one hundred and listening to y'all but to i'm here to save the day dame Don't go anywhere say steel. I know just told you. It's not working so go but that's not how you handle your problems in life or in basketball out. You know why. Because i've seen some teams worked out first. Let's start with the premise. That nba especially late. Slick always talks about the freak the freak of nature these naturally athletic guys. That are taken up these championships. Yeah we could dive a little deeper in the last decade basically who wins championships teams that got to top five players. Let's be real about it. If you want to look at the warriors win her the heat call. Whatever you wanna say about lebron and kyrie seminar the last ten championships. You can look at those guys and say man. They got some top fis on them squash now. There are some exemptions. And this is why i won't dame lillard understand be an exception. Don't always follow the rules. Because in milwaukee told janas to dip remember what happened. You ought to stay still and it came to him and toronto. I'm sure kyle. Lowry was sitting in these milk. And he got the right hip to slicks point. What about going back to your days in dallas. Remember that when you was the dallas mavericks fan before you became a laker fan out show and boy dirt sitting there and then finally came to him but outside of that the general rule is some top five or guys close to that are going to be the ones that win. So now you look at this blazer situation and there's only two options as a not in that category where you're going to be able to get it because you ain't got to tough is this would be real even if you want to squeeze daimiel in there. Good luck with that. You can't do with cj because even if they got game like that they're redundant owner court. There's a lot of redundancy which undermines their efforts. So i'll just look at it simply like this if daimler i'm starting to think about not only the game but the game within the game which is my legacy which is my brand and my iconic status. I wanna keep this singular. I wanna keep this tightly wild by staying in portland and doing what you honest is because of would would've listened to us. If you're honest with elicit y'all i should say now's would've been gone forever. Quest not to what he just got so look at recent history and realize you got it in you. Maybe you need to switch it out for somebody else but you stay in portland and making come to you so i think there's a lot of i take a lot of issues with what you said. Okay i love the first thing. I don't think it takes two top fives. Except i think the whole thing is an exception. Think the tanzanian davis ron. Anthony davis on the brown. I think steph and k. d. outside of that that's only three titles right. Miami dwayne wade was a day day. One way was number. They didn't win and he stayed there in declined but he was still. Don't think a top five player the spurs. They'd have no top five players at the time they were the spurs squat when steph one and beat the cavs. They didn't have to top five players. they have steph. You're making my point why he's just saying. I thought your work is. The rule is top five to five. You're gonna win it but there are exceptions and you give me the list now. There's a list of exceptions right. 'cause my second point which is within that list of exceptions. I think it's a little bit of what slick was saying. Maybe it's coincidence. Maybe not i think you have to be a big. If you're going to do it alone if you will. I look at dirk whether you look at jaanus whether you look at. Tim duncan before. Tony parker and manu really became tony. Parker manu whether you look at zeke wise not a big but at sixty seven. He can play big. I don't know that we've ever seen a a one or a two guard or those hybrid. the daimler's like the alan iverson snapping. Monday in stephens. One point was stuff now. You have the clay in the draymond. Neither.

"Debatable if he is the most electric player in the nba. It really is debatable. Lie you can look at miranda. I think miranda edge out in terms of electric with young legs but when you look at the way russ plays the game. He is as electric is mirant or anybody else that we would look at and being the most electric player that doesn't mean efficient. That doesn't mean i'm becky. Certainly this guy can light up the court with the way he plays and he plays hard. I have no problem sitting here saying that russell westbrook puts them in a great position to get into the nba finals and challenge for this upcoming season. And i suspect that that electric ability that electricity is why. He's in a lakers uniform because it sells because they want to win the press conference because they want to suggest look the numbers. The mechanics of this just doesn't work. We've talked about anthony davis ron james. And the we're talking about trying to keep them healthy through the course of the year. Okay and they haven't been. They weren't able to seventy two game season and yes. They wanna championship in the bubble. After having three months off after having a truncated season not having to travel during the playoffs that worked in their favour for where they are certainly worked in. Anthony davis favor and now you're going to deplete your bench. You're taking all of these guys. The top four guys in minutes played this year. Who because they were able to keep this boat of flow. Even with. Anthony davis missing half the season and lebron james out for an extended period of time. Those guys carried the water. Those guys still kept this team in position to still make the playoffs. Have to be a play in game but they still keep them above water. Now you're gonna take all of those pieces away and you're gonna add at a thirty three year old russell. Westbrook who one of the reasons mac that he doesn't finish at the rim as much is because of all those knee surgeries. He doesn't have the same lateral ability. Dead he wants had so everything's straight line will straight line works in transition. It doesn't work in half quickly adding another guy at thirty three to a team that has already old with thirty six year old. Marc assault thirty four year old west matthews thirty six year old. Lebron james thirty one year. Old mark morris. I mean this is the over. Thirty crew does no dirt on them. Rick we've seen that not sustain itself over shorter now. this is the problem. You're not giving me a team in the west. That is better than the lakers. Where right now. And you have to factor in the injuries only injuries to kawai joe-marie. The problem is there's nobody in the west who's proven to be better than the lakers. Not better than lebron. Anthony davis who when they play together in better who the phoenix suns. Other teams. Down to two one two. Lebron anthony davis in the series. The team that was the era of the the the bucks down to to the to the brooklyn modern brooklyn healthy enough to zero. Didn't get hurt. Then we're talking about planet or the sons better than the lakers beat the jazz. Finish the jazz off without kawhi. Leonard like depth and versatility is a is a hallmark of teams that are winning the championship. The toronto raptors were the better team than golden state warriors. No but they were the deeper healthier team when they won the teams that got to the finals. This year with the phoenix suns. In the milwaukee bucks were they arguably the best teams on paper no but they were the teams that were able to stay healthy because they had depth and versatility where they have their stores. The lakers depth. That you love to talk about. And i agree. They were younger and deeper with coups monteiro. But did they really perform rick. The lakers only got. I believe the seven see. They had to win a plan thriller. You know just to get the seven hundred when they wanna championship. They did won a championship. Yes but last year with the injuries to lebron during the regular season did that depth. Give them anything Who's ma. I joked on this on undisputable kouzmin was as unreliable as the wifi in my basement and got upset and whatever i get it. But guess what he's reliable. That's why lebron said get the hell out of your not delivery russell. Westbrook does deliver. You know this lavar knows so russell..

"It's establishing right like you you care about rachel summer so you're invested in. What's happening to her. Even if like the surrounding her seems a little frivolous and goofball. What like. I think if clermont's in this mode of like i'm telling too many stories at the same time and i'm a little distracted and unfocused in it's it's just a little too madcap which i think. He does a lot across a lot of his books often. I think i'd almost prefer here. Then when he's being very serious in very dramatic and very like melodramatic almost because like. I don't love these. But like i i had a good enough time these like. I don't know the breezy enough and it doesn't maybe it's just because i'm tired of the like the very serious very growly people you know no quarter asked. None given claremont That him doing the breezy thing. At least like i. I appreciate that in like have a little bit more fun with that because the other the other one is so exhausting to me the other mode like we'll get to know for sure. There's there's a tone to it that he's actually appealing. I i mean. I do like to their their stuff. Actually like twenty four allow more than twenty five because twenty four is all about the seattle crew being Basically there with saturnine there with so saturnine is the universal majestic okay. I don't know how much we've dealt with in the past. But she is. She comes into play big. Time in. like. The alamo. Renown davis ron which i referenced. A lot in the eighties. Marvel unlimited unfortunately But she like overseas the omni verse. Okay the omni verse in marvel is the collection of marvel maltesers to. That's where we really start to get this idea of okay. All of these versions of earth's that the mutants that excalibur team has been traveling to set your like the one who oversees all of that. And that's kind of where she resides. Okay so the excalibur crew is kind of on her plane there on her dimension there in her level in the starlight citadel in saturnine in particular is like the phoenix is something that is a threat to realities. That is what i watch over. That is what i try to protect. I need the phoenix okay. So that's kind of the crux of that issue. And it's actually quite fun. Because you have rachel summers dressing up as kitty pretending to be her. You know with with half hearted charm writes In lockheed of course you know getting inter-business and then all sorts of hijinks ensue. It's very up. Alan davis's alley gets to return to all these different captain britain goofy characters on that issue. Actually think is pretty successful as an excalibur issue. It's twenty-five where it's like ogle. Actus is here but it never feels like a galactic sized threat even though we're allegedly were backing them in her own reality. You know. I i like this one I had fun with this. Even though at some point. I absolutely lost the thread and what was happening. One hundred percent lost entire touch with like who was what what players were like off of each other towards the and then i got the vibe of what's going on you know. 'cause collectors comes in his. I'm going to destroy the phoenix because the phoenix is the only thing. That's a threat to me. And then through a really long complicated process. "To Davis. Ron Elving. We've heard hours of emotional testimony today. But can we just take a step back and talk about the historic nature nature of today to impeachments for Donald Trump the second Senate impeachment trial. What do you think the impact the sum total impact of these impeachments are for Donald Trump and his legacy years? Largely this impeachment is going to replace the other in the memories of most Americans. I don't think most people were terribly Clear on exactly what went on in the first impeachment it had to do with a phone call in the Ukrainian leader and it had to do with President Trump's concern about facing Joe Biden well placed concern as it turns out. And his attempts to dislodge the order to disrupt the Biden campaign. Early on, It was a little confusing. It went on for days and days. It was technical. There was a lot of legalism and we couldn't hear the phone call. We never got to hear the phone call. Well, this time we saw it, and we saw it again and we saw it again. And we saw it again. This video that has so much impact. This is a little bit like watching the twin towers go down in 9 11. You saw that video again and again for years, and in a sense, we've never stopped seeing it. So that's what they're going for here. They're going for something that transcends all the legalisms that transcends all the sense of who's right and who's wrong and just shows people how horrific January 6 was inside the Capitol and then tying that back to the president and tying it back as Nina was saying, all the way to last summer. His longstanding campaign to de legitimize this election. Well before was even happening it well before anybody started mailing in balance, the president was trying to de legitimize any result other than a win for him. Where is the country right now on this impeachment because I think of the first impeachment. It felt pretty sharply on partisan lines, right? You know, Republican versus Democrat but how you voted was how you viewed it. Does that hold true with this impeachment? There is still a great deal of partisan divide with this impeachment because, as you can see from the Senate chamber, many of the people on the president's team the people of his party are reluctant to turn on him. They believe in many cases, I don't know about the senators. I think a secret ballot of these senators might come out really differently from what we will see when they do, eventually voting public. But But in the country, there are many Republicans who tell pollsters they think the election was stolen. Maybe most of them maybe most of Trump's voters really still believe. This election was stolen just on his say So. So, yes, On that basis alone, You're going to get a sharp partisan divide in their reaction to this impeachment but fair to say that Donald Trump is still the leader of the Republic, the undisputed leader of the Republican Party. In the absence of anyone else, and there couldn't be anyone else. It can't really be Mitch McConnell, especially since he has decided that the election was legitimate and he doesn't go with the president on this After this. This This assertion that the president so insists on and because it feels better. I think for most Republicans to feel like they won and somehow it was stolen by the Democrats and the media. They would rather deal with that. Then deal with what actually happened. Let's turn now to camera case if we can, Tam Thanks so much for being with us. I made a actually turned out to be not so short A list of things that I thought I knew but were sharpened for me today. The writers were 58 ft from the Senate chamber. Um House members and senators had to sprint to safety. And they were very blunt calls for vice president Pence and Speaker Pelosi to be killed went there and there was a gallows assembled on on the lawn of the Capitol that was in theory intended for the vice president. Um, So yes, Those are things that we learned. I think one thing that stood out. They played a lot of surveillance video from inside the Capitol. Piecing together where members of Congress were where the insurrectionists were. And there was video of Mitt Romney, leaving the Senate chamber and Officer Goodman, who is now sainted for diverting the insurrectionists away from senators away from the Senate chamber. Officer Goodman. Basically, you don't have sound but telling Romney to run and Romney turning around and running and to see Senator Mitt Romney, running full speed was stunning. Yeah, And and we should note I had failed to appreciate until seeing the video over and over again today. Uh, how opulently armed so many of the rioters were. In addition to using American flag poles as weapons. They also had bear spray and actual real live things that we would recognize as weapons and shields and they were wearing tactical gear and helmets and they came ready to fight. I think that what Democrats the house impeachment managers were trying to do today. Was build a case that all of those very prepared heavily armed people were there to do. President Trump's bidding on do that Their presence could have been anticipated and headed off and then later today in the later part of the arguments, arguing that President Trump could have done something to stop them once it was clear what they were doing. And that they claim it at his behest s O. They went through a syriza of tweets from President Trump during the day this video that he released where he said he loved them and he understood where they were coming from a tweet later, around six o'clock, the last tweet of the day. Where he essentially said, this is what happens. This is what you get when you don't let me win. Not exactly phrased that way. But when all of these people's votes as he sees it, we're disenfranchised by the results of the election not being overturned in Tim, What do you make of the focus that House managers seemed to put on? On the prominence of vice president Pence. In the events saluting him is a patriot. Thanking him for his courage. On In their judgment. President Trump and the video makes it clear that he was a target and a tweet from President Trump sent while the capital was under siege. Captain criticizing Pence. It was clear on that day that pence was a target. You know they're both holding up. Hence, as someone is a defender of the Constitution and a hero for for following his duty in a way, I think that is meant as a contrast to President Trump on doll so they're holding up the Capitol police as people who were attacked for defending the capital and defending the American way. There were a lot of injuries among the police officers. Who were defending the capital. A couple of died a couple of since taking their own lives run one of the things that struck me throughout the day that we received in some of the pool reports from Capitol Hill reporters is some of the most flattering comments about the House impeachment. Arguments came from Republicans, even Republicans that have said they will not vote to convict. The president have praised sort of the quality of the case and the articulate nature of the case. And it begs the question of you know how how steep of a hill does the president's defense team. Have to climb here to make an equally compelling case, especially since quite frankly, they didn't make such a great impression in the first day of this trial..

"The bench for the L. A Clippers. 40 of them gone, They're gonna have to make that up and play and defensively they have to do the job of keeping the Lakers out of transition. I'm gonna keep it simple for L A Lakers. Don't get hurt. Keep Anthony Davis Ron James Healthy because the bottom line is they're going to be the number one seed anything. If they were the number two. It doesn't really matter because there's no home court advantage. Keep those guys healthy. Get them some minutes with some new guys make sure they do not get hurt and be ready in two weeks. Get to those new guys. In a moment. Let's get the starting lineup of the Lakers are the quote Unquote home team will go with visiting Los Angeles Clippers and Reggie Jackson, who came over. He was bought out by the Pistons in mid February, signed with the Clippers shortly after that played nine games will be technically his second start of the season. Patrick Beverly, who one of a number of Clippers players who had left the bubble. Came back in quarantine. He was available to be able to play today. We should see him for a few minutes later in the game will be Reggie Jackson to start along with Paul, George Kawai Leonard, Marcus Morris senior and Evita Zoo bots in the middle of the seven footer for the Lakers. Contagious Caldwell Pope. As Avery Bradley opted out of returning for the rest of the season and coming down to the bubble, so he will be the starter with Danny Green in the backcourt. LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the ninth and 11th top scores in the MBA this year, and Javale McGee in the middle. We mentioned Bradley, he opted out so that elevates KCP to havea. A chance to get some major minutes here with Lakers and also Rajon Rondo, just second practice down here in the bubble broke his thumb and he's going to miss the next 68 week. Frank go looking for a guard combination. Probably gonna be a game. The game match up match up thing Jr Smith has looked good Dion waiters as well. And Alex Caruso, another guy that's played well all year, so I think he's got plenty and reserved. To fill that guard situation. So we mentioned Reggie Jackson. It was a new name.

We had so much pitching depth, and you know, with with Gossage their sparky Lyle fro and Iran Davis. Ron Davis goes into played there in Oakland struck out nine role as a reliever. He brought some gas. Ron davis. Yeah. I remember him real, well, John three strong and through hard. And you know, he was just wild enough. So you get the bad is like you gotta be blue bit thinking that this guy might not know where to go. You know, Fred I want to touch I want to touch on something before before we get you off air. You're appointed a giants director of player development in two thousand seven and some of the players you, and I talked about that were drafted in that era. Buster Posey, Matt Cain Pablo Sandoval. Joe panic is in a few minutes here. Tell us how your thoughts were coming into that organization. And then all these players now that you're watching a big league level almost ten years in the big leagues. How did that make you feel and how are the things going back in that day? What you know? When when we first got BUSTER. I mean, here's a guy played a little bit of shortstop. You know, he's a good athlete. We're everybody was thinking, you know. Well, he he can place in third place from short, you know, when he's not catching. Then all of a sudden knowing my gun, see hall of fame type catcher and bump Gardner can hear what Matt Cain. What we saw was. That was a handful of really good players that as as in development. You just kinda wanna stay out of their way. Don't give too much things to think about because they are so good. It's like Griffey. Yeah. You just put the Europe Armani, but say, okay, go out there, and you're hitting third and and see what happens. But those guys that they understood the game and they were hard workers. You know, we'd have early work a lot. Because of just the timeframe you haven't spring train, and they never missed. They were out there all the time, and they were leaders, and you could tell by their they were baseball rats. They they understood the game. They knew what were they should be worth throw the ball. I mean, it was like having a coach with these guys. They're all what twenty one twenty two years old at the time. Yeah. Yes. Wow. Well, we we got to cut you off or my producers giving me the old chicken wing. It'd be like our. Talk straight avenue. We're gonna have another ties some good stories. We appreciate your time again and Greg catching up with you. Fred stanley. We appreciate it. Thank you. Thanks a lot. Fred this good stuff. How about that lineup? He was thrown out there vita. "All the time. And when you do that with a lot of these great players have you did it with Kevin Durant or Steph curry, and they didn't have to share the ball and had it all the time you'd see similar numbers. But STAN I feel like a jerk because this dude is on a tear of Wilt Chamberlain per proportions. I don't like watching it. And therefore, I'm less impressed than I probably should be with all of the scoring because of what you just said if I gave giving the number here. Stan let's just say that I give blank number of players in the NBA, exactly. The numbers of touches and usage rate. That James harden has how many players are doing. Exactly what James harden is right now, not many. I would say curry Durant. You know, Anthony Davis Ron Brown can't handle the ball. Lebron could do that wherever it is situation. Like that the only difference is LeBron even though our harden gets a lot of assists. Lebron is truly to me a little different because he's a pass first guy who scores a lot of points hardens of score. I guy who will make plays for other people. But LeBron would rather pass the ball. So I don't know if I could see him putting up fifty nine and he did it in the finals. Denise what when he was playing against the warriors. And they were losing. But he was taking all the shots. The Kobe games wasn't. He doing that. Will he wasn't getting these numbers? I mean, these numbers are astounding. I mean, who we really haven't seen what he's doing, you know, since we'll Chamberlain so, but they're not Chamberlain esque, by the way, these would have been this stretching games would have brought Wiltz average down. Well, it's funny. Let's just be clear. On that. It's funny, Dan because he's averaging fifty two point two points per game harden is over the last five tied for the second longest streak of averaging fifty NBA history will Chamberlain his first one hundred sixteen games. Yeah. And and we'll head a five game stretch at the in in one thousand nine hundred sixty two he had a five game stretch where he went sixty something sixty something sixty something one hundred and then they held him to fifty eight the average seventy point two for five games. So anytime, we say something is Chamberlain esque. It's not. Scratching good role for some. I think your appetite for Eminem's might be Chamberlain s. Harden was twenty eight point seven points per game against the the warriors last year. Your awful, I wasn't talking about hard. And I said LeBron a few years ago when he was taking all the shots donlevatar. It's rich is instill in my material. It is Jimmy traina stealing my material get outta here man was that any them a media writer. I think at out of New York who I haven't the likes to God's like I. This is the pivot of God's in. She just give you the whole. Yeah. I care. I care. And you think when she gets back to DC, she just rebounded. I was impressed. She was very intensive. She took some propaganda. We had from the categories that explained our position as ranchers on the border, and what we want to see them. Do. She didn't hand it to a staffer. She took notes while we were talking. Okay. Put it in her notebook. Indicate she made sure the under secretary was here to hear some more about it. I you know, I do think she's on the job don's pushing back. He's making sure that she does her job. Okay. So what exactly do you guys want friend Peggy Davis? Arizona ranchers right now on AM seven hundred live in Washington DC guys want besides border patrol on the border. Out here. Mandatory e verify it'd be great okay vote. Yeah. Tucson get out the vote. We can't afford to have Pearson. Cinemas our next Senator you brought that up because I look at this. And I'm not a fan of Martha Martha doesn't like to talk to me. She doesn't answer questions. But you guys, I'm not scary. You guys come on. I'm a nice person. Right. I put I shower, I call my hair loss. I dunno. Your your. Yeah today. It's true. Martha literally hasn't been on the show in three years. She won't return emails phone calls or people won't do that. And it's because she's flipped locked in. Oh, she was offered ACA. She was against the wall. She didn't like Trump and all of a sudden when he starts winning she jumps on the Trump train, which is fine. You know, I have no problem people make mistakes, it meant, you know, what I screwed up and you realize he'd be this good. I see what he's doing. But she won't say it. So you have her running from her past and cinema hunting from her past. And again, I I. Eat three pounds of dog poop or ten pounds of dog group. Well, we work with Martha pretty closely. Yeah. And in my eyes Tommy, well, I've never heard her say a bad word about the president. And she has been forthcoming with her feelings about DACA in the past. And in honest about it, and I think it's because of her military background. She just really wants to see that people who serve their country. Have you know, Cava? A bit of a leg up. I I get and I get that. So is it just Docker Scipion in the military because that's the sense. I get I'm just going to say. That's sense. I get is. It's her soft spot for the military more than anything, and we don't agree on everything. Yeah. But she she's very accessible to to us. When we when we need something. She's very accessible. In fact, we ran into her yesterday at the airport and had little visit with her sometime. Tell to me sometime I will do that this week. How's that? I've seriously. I appreciate that. I will let us know that John Kyle was appoint she broke the news early to. Yeah. Yeah. Well, we she learned it where we were standing there together. Joshing a text and then okay? I'll put some pressure on and get her to talk to you. But I really think has she done anything to help border security and people want to know this stuff. She really has. I mean, she hadn't been in office three weeks three weeks when she had twenty two legislators down there and Q including Mike McCall okay in Carson cinema. Was there that day? And she actually had me come to Washington on the thirteenth of September two thousand sixteen and talk to her subcommittee on border and maritime security, and and do a talk on the failure of defense in depth strategy. So she did all this, but has anything actually come of it? Well. That's I know she's only one person. That's that's the problem. I didn't even have a democrat in the room the day that I testified in front of congress not democrat in the room disagreed that defense in depth is a failed policy, but they want open borders, and you're you're just fighting tooth and toenail to to stop them. He really can't change it all by yourself. It's a complex problem. It's been going on too long. And there's no will in Washington to change it. And and Fred and Peggy Davis Ron Cannon AM seven ninety have that has Kirstin cinema ever reached out to you guys. Besides that. No, no, no, nothing. No. And she was Douglas a couple of weeks ago, but t didn't reach out to us. Oh, she was she told someone she remembered all of us, and when she came down there, and we were very helpful. But she didn't reach out to us at all. So Liam Marquez Peterson. Yes, who I'm not a fan of shockingly enough. I you know, she was on the show active. She didn't know what. Chain migration wise. She never liked Trump. I mean, there's all over Facebook. She posted all kinds of crap like herpes in never goes away. And it comes out she's against the wall. I mean, everything open borders everything. And now, unfortunately, she's the one that could possibly take Martha's places. She goes against. Another nut anchor Patrick. Yeah. Well, we have met with her. She has reached out to me met with her a couple of times. I, you know, I just think we have to keep in mind that we do not want an Kirk Patrick. So again, it's the, you know, no matter what you dog poop, you're gonna wind three pounds or ten pounds. Yeah. I think I think Leah is becoming more educated about the border in education is a fine thing. And I I do think that because she's met with us. She's getting a little bit different perspective. So, you know, I'm I'm hopeful in and I'm definitely going to support her her talks with us. She's not an open borders fan. Really? Yeah. When Trump said the wall, I had her in the head of the Tucson, Hispanic chamber. And she was against the nice said, why are you against Walt traders had trade happens on roads and rail lines? I'm not gonna stop that stuff. Yeah. What it is what it is. So you you met with her? She's not doesn't seem to be an open borders person. No. She was pretty supportive. Ranchers. I hope so I mean, how could you not be right? It makes it's it's mind boggling, I definitely I'm gonna supporter. Okay. Because you have to because the other one is just insane is absolutely not a good thing. Okay. And last one. I ask you all the time is the wall going to help in places. It definitely is needed. Would what if they came to you came to come to you? But we don't live on on on the border. Yeah. We're twenty five miles north. Do you think your friends though that are on the border? Yes. Well, absolute, okay. With the big giant wall? Well. Some are some aren't. But what people need to understand is so much of the border doesn't even have a row. Yeah. The agents can't even get there. You take Chilton's west. And there's a four wire fence it isn't. It's ancient. I mean, it doesn't mean keep cattle from going back and forth into Mexico. Something needs to be yes. To change. A serious problem mayor, and they need something. And I knew for one as an American and I consider myself a patriot. I have no problem with putting something there that Dillion aids. This is ours. This is yours. And that's that stay out. Exactly. I hope it happens. Listen, you guys are awesome. We do have to actually meet up in Tucson. We do. I know anytime he goes on on the radio station. Just let me know. All right. Just let me know I'm getting yelled at by a one year old and a five year old every day. So I'm that's why I'm enjoying my time here. So we'll continue Fred and Peggy Davis. Thank you so much for the perspective. Yes, vote the right way felt the right way. If you're not going to stay home the most.
