"Find anything else out over there. Breaking news. They actually conducted this experiment on the moon. Okay. Okay. In 1971, astronaut David Scott conducted Galileo's famous hammer and feathered drop experiment on the moon. Galileo had concluded that all objects regardless of mass. By the way, that means you referenced Galileo earlier. Galileo literally thought I'd be that close. Literally, it says you're regardless of mass, which was my whole entire argument. Fall at the same speed. However, the resistance caused by the air can cause a feather to drop slower. Well, on the moon there is no atmosphere. It is a vacuum, so the object should drop the same speed. See for yourself in this video. I watch the video. And they fall at the same speed. The hammer and the feather. That's legit. That's a good win. I needed a win here this fall. I remember because the first physics class you have when they talk about gravity they hit you with that and you're like, no way. A hammer of feather or a fucking because I believe gala was the apple, right? The apple fell hit him in the fucking thing. That was Newton. That was Newton. Yeah. Hit him in the head and he was like, now why that just happened? Yeah. And then we get to the point when they bring up. I think my teacher was like a fucking airplane, like 7 47 and a feather fall at the same rate. You're like an idiot. Yeah. And then you're like, oh yeah. The idea that the golf ball and the astronaut are two completely different weights and there's nothing to do with when they would fall. No, my argument that because the golf ball is lighter, it should stay up in the air longer, is just incorrect. Yes. Okay. Day one physical class. Stuff. I get that it obviously feels like it should be the other way around. Clearly. Because there is like some sort of gravitational pull you would think that some things would be the same. Similar. And it's just not, yeah. For whatever reason. That's how this universe is. Are you mad at us? No. I think he's thought I had it. In the bag, it is day one physics stuff. But that is a shocking fact. They had to go to the moon and test it. True. That's a good point. And said this like 300 years ago, we're gonna test this shit. They had to go to the moon. Before they get an answer, what can we do? We gotta do this fucking astronaut in 1971. You have to hear him. He goes, well, look at that. Like they were all shocked. Like that's a big scientific discovery. Yeah, so until 1971, nobody had ever proven that, and they had to literally leave this planet, which no one was ever done before. Go to a different rock and try it out. So what a cruise ship be heavy in space? The one 6th of the weight. Yeah. That still isn't I'm not wrapping my head around it, unfortunately. You'd have to have like a crane holding this cruise ship, and then a feather, and they'd bulge just fucking drop at the same time. Yes, same exact shape..

Senate Control Still Unclear: 2020
"Come on members of Congress in Georgia, faring pretty well on election night, But there are some new faces goingto Washington from our state as well. First of all in the sixth House District Democrat Lucy McBath, defeating Karen Handel in a rematch between the two in the seventh, which encompasses for Sy thing, Gwinnett County. Caroline Bordeaux, edging Republican Rich McCormick. Now the Democrats who won reelection Sanford Bishop, Hank Johnson and David Scott. Republicans returning to Washington include Buddy Carter, Drew Ferguson, Austin Scott Barry Loudermilk, also Rick Allen and then Jody Hice of the 10th district. No faces in the fifth District Democrat Nike, Mo Williams, easily winning John Lewis's seat. And then, of course, Republican Andrew Clyde victorious and the ninth District in North Georgia, considered the most conservative district in the state. We are still waiting on the result of one of George's US Senate race is the race between David Perdue and John S off remains too close to call. We do know, however, that Republican incumbent Kelly Leffler and Democrat Raphael Warnock will meet in a run off for the other Senate seat. We're not thanking his supporters last night, you for pushing me one step closer. Of the Senate because when I get there you will go with me. Your concerns will go with me. Your issues will go with the runoff for the unexpired term of Senator Johnny Isakson set for January 5th Republican Congressman Doug Collins of Gainesville coming in third in that race.

"Inskeep in Washington, D. C. If you are listening to this network on election night or afterward, we will not declare a winner in the presidential race until the Associated Press does. One of the editors at the center of that decision is the Ape's David Scott. There's this moment. It's not long, just a couple of seconds. When we make the decision to call a race call a state that's going to put one candidate over the top of 2 70 for those three or four seconds. You know that small group of people it AP and our decision desk. We're the only ones who know who the next president's gonna be. David Scott leads a team making the call on election results and because there's so much anxiety over how and when the winner will be called this year, with president raising false claims about fraud, we asked David Scott, how the process works. We start with research. We're looking at what happened in the state in the primaries. What's happened in a state over history? How often is a state voted for one party or another? How many people are voting in advance in a state? And then we look at our election survey AP Vote Cast We do this huge survey of the electorate as people are voting Right up through the point the polls close on election day and that gives us another rich source of data to understand what's taking place in the electorate. And then we wait on the poles to close and the vote to start being counted and in some states that the races aren't closely contested, were able to make a declare a winner. Call a race right, a poll close And in some states were able to do so early in the vote count, because the signal we get from that vote count is clear. It's not possible for a trailing candidate to catch up and in others we have to wait. So when is the earliest in your memory that the Associated Press has been able to call a presidential race on election night? So in the last seven elections, we've been able to call a winner on Election night or by midnight on the East Coast. Four times three times We had to wait for later. The earliest was in 1996 at nine PM when Bill Clinton won reelection over Bob Dole. This is interesting when you say that on three occasions you did not have the winner by midnight on election night because you are reminding us that it is not automatic legal required or even necessarily ordinary to know the very night of the election, who won That's right. It's not unusual in 2000. Obviously, AP never called a winner in that race between George W. Bush and Al Gore in 2004. We had to wait until the next day, because there were provisional ballots that had to be counted or at least we had to know how many were outstanding. Before we could declare a winner in the race between John Kerry and George W. Bush. And in that case, we determined the next day that there weren't enough provisional ballots outstanding in Ohio. For Carrie to catch up. And then in 2016 just four years ago, we had to go deep into the early morning, and it wasn't until 2 29 am that we're able to call the election for Trump. But I think you make a good point, which is just because we don't know By the time we go to bed, or by the time the late local news is on doesn't mean anything's wrong. It's not a sign of fraud or malfeasance. It's probably an unfair Expectation that we would always know on election day before the pandemic, and I think it's certainly an unfair expectation now, especially with just this huge boom of advanced votes. They take longer to count and again. That's not unusual, and that's not a sign of anything going wrong. It's just democracy at work. Suppose were after election night, and one candidate is saying this was fraud. The election was stolen. What is the practical effect of that? Well, what's their evidence? We're going to look hard at everything that comes in. And if there is actual evidence that something has gone wrong, we're gonna look at that. We want to do that. We're reporters were journalists were telling the story of the election. Voter fraud in this country is astonishingly rare. That doesn't mean we close our mind off to it, but we start with that reporting question. You want to call the race when it's definite, But maybe not when 100% of the vote is in, so you're trying to make a calculation about when this race is decided, for sure. Is it going to be harder to make that call? Given that you may be looking at states where you just don't have in modern decades anyway? A record of quite so many people voting all at once? The honest answer is no. Because we're used to this. There have been many states five coming into this year that conducted all male elections that took weeks to complete their vote counts. We're used to working with that..

"The market made given robin Joe and Jerry Markley while last till David Scott bring me down there's David van camp it's got rob I'm glad your positive okay we've been getting some good news some healthy signs and I know it sounds I don't to be insensitive to the desk number okay I mean we know and we expected this was going to be the roughest week that we've seen so far yeah and so far that is true but there's other news that's coming out that would be positive things that I guess we were hoping for yes well one this was just coming out in New York there were two hundred corona virus patients hospitalized yesterday that is the lowest amount since March eighteenth so that does suggest the whole flattening of the curve thing they do say look there there's still work to be done of course but the other good news was what Dr Anthony Fauci was saying is that the death total estimate is significantly lower than what they talked about last week because remember I think it that was a sobering moment when they said the new estimate was somewhere between a hundred thousand two hundred forty thousand deaths because of corona virus that's been lowered pretty significantly he talked about it on the today show this morning models are really only as good as the assumptions that you put into the model but when you start to see real data you could modify that modeling the real data for telling us that it is highly likely that we're having a definite positive effects by this mitigation things that we're doing this physical separation so I believe we are going to see a down turn in that and it looks more like the sixty thousand and a hundred to two hundred thousand but having said that we better be careful that we don't say okay we're doing so well we could pull back we still have to put a foot on the accelerator when it comes to the mitigation of the physical separation okay after what he said okay Scott I want to start with you because you kind of just went well okay say it just say it out with it I I don't know why it's wrong for anyone to question him go wait a minute how do you blow it by that many how is that possible the experts to put out the number yeah you guys they put these things together the scare the hell out of everybody when you're looking at two hundred and forty thousand people dying and they're like well because the mitigation well the mitigation is been going on for what three weeks now depending where you're at yeah we're just not getting to this point you know so I mean I don't know you want more you're like well just apply the standard I just feel like we're in a position right now in America where is not that we cannot we're not qualified to question authority what they say goes it must not be questioned it's like when you're a kid you can't question authority don't question the cops don't question your teacher to question ministers don't do this but then you realize that some point time while they were wrong I'm going to question him okay and it's okay to hold your feet to the fire that's my point I guess okay and again I'm not I don't wanna disparage this guy because I I like be him personally yes price I don't think you know from two hundred forty thousand dead people the sixty thousand well that was the highest ticket well what what it what do you remember from that year I remember hundred forty thousand dead people that's what I remember well there's a couple things okay one being they're saying people really have social distance more than they had anticipated absolutely agree with that yes do you agree with that well I do agree with you I caution that if people are social distancing all I can tell you about is my world I haven't been anywhere right so in my world are people taking it seriously yes that's what all these people are saying and that's great and I hope that to be true but from images that we've seen whether it be Florida or New York or a number of different places it didn't seem like people or social distancing and there was actually a lot of people online ripping one another for not social distancing and but I'm not I'm not saying they lied saying okay I'll put it this way I've heard different people that have worked in businesses where they do models okay Scott Adams was talking about this because he used to do it would be if you had a boss it was say here's what we want to do can you show us a model that would indicate this in other words you would show a model that would support what someone already wanted to do I'm not saying this happened here with the CDC at all but if you want to have people take this serious because you don't want the pandemic to take out a million people in the United States you have to show a model they'll show if we don't take this serious this is what's going to happen so is that possible that happened here it's.

"Also the way that you sell into these these large consumer brands CMO's is kind of have to have relationships. Kind of is what it is. Right. You can't just by Google ad words. So what ends up happening is they're they're good market motion involves these very expensive outside sales directors that have high OT, ease and are very relationship driven plot. But those people are not super technical necessarily. So also involves a bunch of sales. Nearing as well. Plus a bunch of the our behavior. So like you addle that up. And so now what you have to be doing is selling very large deals, so their pricing has to like in order to get the technology into the organization requires all this expensive human. So then the pricing has to be has to pay for all those expensive human like the software might be very cheap in. And there might be zero marginal costs associated with like serving another customer. There might actually not be server costs or whatever. But the reality is just in order to get that software into the organization you have to pay for it. And so that's why saying like pricing can be related pricing can be driven by costs of your software. That's kind of the whole point of software engineer ship is it's operas kinda cheap or expensive to make wants to then. Yeah, it's pretty cheap to scale. But the the installation of it may be expensive. And this is actually where you can have sources of advantage of like. If you're gonna market is awesome. Like, a good example of this would be call tricks. Right. So if if obviously how SAP, but one of the things that's most amazing about fall tricks is their sales organization their sales organization runs out if it's Lee high or Provo or what have you? But I mean, they their go to market apparatus was as or more excellent than their their initial engineering routes, and it actually was the engine on which the organization was Bill because they were able to scale up their go to market on fifteen hundred dollar ASAP deals with like, you know, inexpensive sales reps in in Provo or Lee high wherever it was. And then what that did was that made it such that the the business was able to to create this engine, which then they went up market and started competing with like the medallions in what have you the world? But. But also what they were able to buy by virtue of the fact that they're good market was so officiant, they actually had actually impacted their pricing like they could underpriced other people because they didn't need to charge as much in order to pay for bunch of expensive sales people who only having five meetings week because they were able to sell lower ASP deals over the phone with one or two meetings in their reps for having twenty five meetings week that actually allowed them to bring down their pricing, which of course, just her help their win rates as committed competitor. So anyway, the point is is that like being awesome at go to market can actually be like a lever in. Like, an enterprise value creation. Not just from a revenue acquisition standpoint from all sorts of like it gives you optionality for all sorts of other great stuff and having a good inside sales team to to help accelerate that. Yeah. For sure like Scotts down. Yeah. If you like David Scott does a really good job of talking about. This of like, you know, the the orders of magnitude David stock is a partner of matrix. He's you know, he's kind of like the. He's like the gray haired, professor of like SAS pretty much you should read his Zo, his longest four entre. Preneurs I spoke at he had a conference called zero to one hundred there was him myself that seventy shots from Zaman. And then I forget the gentleman's name from from Zeus. But essentially like David Scott talks about this a lot about how like different servicing models have different costs outside outside service model is ten times as expensive as as a mid market inside service model. So if you can figure out how you can sell.

"News. Officer Clayton was one of my most dedicated loyal and committed officers. Yeah. Is eight forty four and coming up at nine o'clock here on Arizona's on KTAR news. It's Bruce St James panel using you're going to talk about this officer who was killed. And now this guy was arrested for texting while driving hit the officer the suspect in this case, I don't know if that's the proper terminology. We know he's the one that was involving accident is alleged to have been texting while driving. Not impaired even heard any argument of impairment, but distracted. Yeah. And I said he was arrested for texting while driving, which is not a crime. He was not it's not a crime in the state of Arizona. It is in the city of Phoenix Tucson city of individual cities, do but we do not have a statewide law. But I come back to and and I'm not opposed to the idea. I get the sense of of a law against it. I just don't think it changes behavior. Jamie. You you the mention you know, who's going to be the first. Person that that that she tweeted is going to introduce a law, and this officer seem to ban texting. Speeding's against the law to. Yeah. But could this get it done? I mean, I I mean speaks against the law, and and nobody drives fifty five on the on the officers are able to enforce that law. If it's not a second. David Scott a secondary which the first primary offense secondary offense. Here's the problem. There is I am aware of this. I it drives me nuts. I see it. And you know, what when my phone vibrates or something and I'm driving down the road. We can look at it. It's pavlovian. Yeah. I wish I didn't. I I'm technically distracted while I grab it. Yup. I I think I'm in the vast majority people, and whether it's illegal or not is not going to stop me from reaching for the phone. Well, one of my arguments against anti texting and driving law is, you know, there are so many things that being a parent. I know this. There's so many things that can distract you behind the wheel. I mean, what are you gonna you gonna make a law for everything like, you know, no turning around and looking at the kids know eating the wheel, no shaving. Yeah. But this is not to but distract with it. I was driving down the fifty one I live right over here south on the fifty one a couple of weeks ago. And there is I won't say what department a law enforcement officer. And you know, the traffic block, you know, what I'm saying? They're the only one doing the the speed limit everybody. But I as I pulled up next to him. I I saw the officer looking down to his phone while he was driving. Yeah. Okay. I mean, there's no not angry at it. We all do it. Will they law fundamentally changed people from looking at their phone? Maybe it won't. But maybe it doesn't hurt. I know there's a there's the Salt River police department a law enforcement community and family screaming today because somebody could not look at their phone, right? And ended up killing a police off which is distracted driving which is against the law. Already. Understood in Arizona. Yeah. I dunno. I dunno. None of it solves anything. But maybe it might make some people feel a little bit better. If if this log it's finally pass. And like I said before I'm one of these people it's argued against it because there's so many distractions. But right distracted is you know, why you're distracted may not be the most important. All right. Bruce, St.
