"Back the country. Everybody who goes to a wall has to be very English. One glide oveess wail of what is happening there. You're watching history, by the way, potentially history history. Now, you don't know this. I'm going to give I'm going to chat. Splaine you guys. What's going on? Venezuela was run by. A Kook by the name of Hugo Chavez, he since passed away. Maduro was kind of like a second in charge. He took over there an oil rich country, probably the richest country in the world when it comes to oil reserves. They have used socialism and power to essentially suck that country dry of any of its its wealth and take it from a middle class upper middle class South American nation to virtually nothing they have destroyed that country socialism. It's what's not for dinner because there's no food now on Guido comes along. He's part of essentially, they're congress, right? Let's go with that. And he's like, hey, I've only been here for forty five days. But we all know this is a joke. These elections we've had joke. I think Dick's our constitution. I can run this thing. He's leading an up rising, and it's been slowly. But surely over the last several months and years happening, and now it's really taking place. But when you're going to have something like this. You need a few things to go away. First and foremost, the world needs to address you as the ruler of that country right now or the president or whatever most of the world is the free world. Secondly, you gotta do it. Right. You'll don't want them. You want the military on your side? But what you don't want is the military to actively participate. You want them kind of off to the side. And you want enough military that should he Madero keep some of the military, and they get a little froggy that your side of the military may down. But outside of that, you just kind of want them off to the side. And you want to be able to say the nation overthrew you not the military. There's three ways this thing could go most people tell you to one Madero stays bad guy a buffoon as much as he is bad right to Guido. Right. He ends up being the man who's the ruler. And he sets the country on a much better path or the third yet not talked about, but needs to be talked about some general sitting there going. Hey, I got a great ideal Venezuela. Why don't I take over everything right now? And we'll. Put everything under martial law for the next six months, while we sort this mess out and then our turn power back to the people. And as we've always seen in the past power rarely goes back to the people, and why would the military stay with somebody who has essentially robbed the country of anything that out there. Why simple reason money money money? If you're wondering, why will the military support Madero if the people event as well, clearly one change, it's because the military is involved in all types of lucrative business deals. If you go to restaurants in Caracas when their food shortages, you will notice there. There are people that are eating in these restaurants, and they're not the regular people. They're they're members of the government. There are members of the military. If you have a business in Venezuela and say you want to build an additional space to your business every contract, you try to get goes through somebody in the military. So the military has their hands in everything. Yes. In everything. So that could be one of the reasons why. These dictators south Sudan their dictator their their leader is announced it, right? Finally said all right. I give up they got into his house, and he's kind of under some half ass house arrest, and they find millions upon millions of dollars of cash while the rest of the country stars socialism, if I'm Trump on pitching, socialism all day. But again, what's happening there, this this potentially is history and people should be watching this and Pompeii oh said today. Hey. What we know is Madeira wanted to go, but the Russians talked about it, it it got to the point where the the airplane was gassed up and the bird was ready to fly, and they talked him out of it. There is the geo political side of things which simply is Russia likes the fact that there's a big oil friend, and they like the fact they had their fingers in South America. And they've got an ally there whether the rest of the world has been shunning them over and over again, what will we do? Apparently, according to John Bolton, many others nothing right now is off the table. Nothing is off the table. Is it potentially us getting involved? I wouldn't think so at this moment, but I'm not going to say that's not potential. You never know. And in weird way, we're proper already kind of involved because as much as Russia has funneled some stuff. I'm sure to the military and some money and whatnot just know this. We have probably three. Through third and fourth parties and several other countries have gotten some things to them. They're folks there as just in case, but it's history. And it's something we should be watching paying very close attention to three two three five three eight twenty four twenty three. At Chad Benson. Chadbensonshow Twitter tweet at us a lot of stuff to get to tonight. Congressman David Schweickart is gonna join us. We're gonna touch on this with a touch on potentially. What's going on in Arizona with not only what's happening here with immigration, but with these sweeping potential asylum. Rules changes that the administration is trying to put out there. Will it help won't it help? Plus, if a structure is there a deal there to be had two trillion dollar deal? And just if there is how how we pay for that. I'm just curious smidge curious on the two trillion. I like it. I like the thought of it. But how we get in that two trillion dollars. That's a question that needs to be asked. And that could be a win for all of America and win for the Democrats. And it went for the Republicans. Everybody wins for the first time and who knows? Along three two three five three eight twenty four twenty three at Chadbensonshow is your Twitter. Hey, what do you want to spot a burglar? Hopefully, never. But if you do you want to catch him outside don't want them getting in your house too late. Then that's where blink comes in indoor outdoor camera. Motion activated absolutely incredible easy to set up wire free sets up in minutes. Couple AA batteries will last you up to two years, and I will tell you this. They have a live feed option. He can download the blink smartphone app. It works mazing. You could see what's going on outside Asia house as well as inside your house. Protect the things you love in a way that is just revolutionized the way home security is being done..

"Is the most of the house of representatives David Schweickart who when I asked him what was going to happen. Now, he said we're going to crazy town, and no one has ever been more, right? Hit trust me. It wasn't a difficult prediction now. You know, what I think that it was to the extent that is crazy as it's gonna get. It's gonna keep going, and you you didn't overstate it. You were a hundred percent, right. We are seeing craziest things in a long time with the rhetoric that's going on with the accusations. There's cable news networks that were tying the Ethiopian plane crash to the Trump shut down or the government. It's insane. Welcome to modern media. Look, you're an interesting situation right now where? News media functions become the reaffirmation media. So if you're know left, you go watch MSNBC, if you lean writer, libertarian, you go watch FOX, and you basically consume what reaffirms you will. If you're on the hard left today. And the base of the party. It's day and night fixation on the president. I mean, just as burning fixation so everything must have a tie to the president to basically satiate that desire when you look at the realities of what's happening. There are some good things that we still see happening in the economy. The growth is still very good this deal with China continues to and it gets finalized. It's going to be even better is the president's plan of growing us out of debt. Have does have the possibility of working if we don't get our affairs in order what the debt still growing? It's it's more. The math is more complicated are the driver of the debt. And this is one of those things it's just driving me to the edge of just incredible frustration 'cause it's no one wants to really hear it is demographics the reality. We're getting older a society. If you take a look at our increases in spending, it's interest. It's so security. It's our health care entitlements. And it's because we're getting older. But think about this. We had the Treasury Secretary in ways and means yesterday, and the Democrats are the world is coming to end the economy is horrible people don't have jobs, and those of us on the Republican side saying, do you see how many people are employed full employment? Just stopping for one moment the first five months of the fiscal year. Now, we're five months in revenues are basically matching last year. So even with the big tax reform revenues are equal. So where did the hundred and fifty billion dollars of borrowing requirements for these first five months and its function? It's are spending. Now a lot of that spending. Is it was right now is being driven by the growth in social security and Medicare but also in defense and a bunch of other programs, but we were being told last year that revenues were going to collapse. Right. Actually right now. They're absolutely stable. When you look forward to what needs to happen. We've talked about the so often, and you talk, and I thought of you I when I heard the the comments by a OC saying, I wish you wouldn't be thinking about me when you hear comments from mayo just don't do that. I just wanted to see the look on your face because she was advocating basically abstinence from having children because it's bad for the climate. And what you've been talking out as we are not having babies any more, and we are digging ourselves deeper hole because we are not going to have the workforce to support the older people. Well, look, it's just it's a simple math problem. The earned entitlements. So you've earned your social security you've earned your Medicare. That's part of the societal contract. We that's the deal there page you go program. Today's worker is actually paying functionally for today's retiree because the money was gone, and it was never actually balanced. So you know, we tell you you have this nice account the account is on paper. You know? I it's just what happens in nine years in America when we have to workers and one person in retirement. Yeah. It's it's a scary pro on a smaller scale is that a correct analogy to stay on a smaller scale when we look at the fall of cities like Detroit and the bankruptcy when they got themselves in pension problems because when they were a growing city, then they shrunk. They didn't have the workforce paying into the pension systems to support the people that were drawing from the pension system and having been on the multi employer pension commission this last year, the numbers are actually brutal. I mean, they're not bad. They're brutal. Even city of Phoenix here. Right. It has a unfunded liability in their pension system. That really worries me keep kicking the can down the road for a decade down the road. Like, we're gonna pay it off over time and just increasing that deficit and not fixing the core problem, and you get these crazy plans like saying, well, why don't we issue a bond to fund the and then the bond is debt, but the bond has a different win. It's just math. And and the reality of it is you had lots of pension systems back in the late nineties when there was the dot com. Bubble that had a couple of really good years. So, you know, the politicians so they could get union love and other things basically raised the accrual rates in those. And then a couple years later those things crash we went back to being normal. And and there's one of our all our real problems is at some point things to go back to the mean. So what do you do a society when you must have growth, do you change? How people are able to work. Do you actually change tax policy regulatory policy and trade policy to maximize growth, you've changed incentives to actually stay in the labor force if we know long-term growth is absolutely crucial. It's more than just what we did with tax policy and some of the things we've done now, we're trying to do smart regulations. It's got to be all up and down the policy chain. That's actually really an anathema to lot of folks in the left. A lot of folks and left need someone to blame. It's their fault. There's a boogeyman. I do have to give you this a little bit complicated for first thing in the morning. If you listen to what a lot of the Democrats are saying is we need to take from these rich people, and what they want to do is give it to their rich people, right? Medicare for all if you really take a step back and think about it is we're gonna tax lots of people and what we're gonna do is. We're going to provide lots of revenues lots of stability to the folks that are in the medical world that are are supporters their supporters. The thing. That's most dangerous about sort of a collectivize nationalized academy is the technology that disruptions think of the phone. You have in your pocket right now. All of a sudden the smartphone gets rolled out within just a few years. It's everywhere. If government has sort of absolute control of these things, we're all still carrying around flip phones. Because you start to stop the innovation you, stop the disruption RND goes away. It's more than that you create like a protected class. So in the hard left's world, we we'd still be going down to blockbuster video. Yeah. And that's that's even a better analogy. I wanna ask you about. Then I gotta take a break. We're going to ask you about the free trade agreement what we're going to do with that. And I also want to get into some of the details with you about the vote yesterday in the Senate the house passed their version of emergency declaration, and then and then if we have a moment to even talk about Christ's church because. Absolutely someone that is actually I got trapped there for a week once. Okay. And had really interesting experience. We'll do that congressman Schweiker with us. "Shutdown by introducing the topic this way. Jerry, thirty three of the partial federal government shutdown, frankly, there are some ridiculous. It's not flat out funny. Parts of the shutdown. But a new report from the FBI agents association is quite sobering. In that report one anonymous FBI agent says, and I quote, the shutdown has limited any ability to operate. Wait. What we were told that essential personnel would continue to show up during the government shutdown, especially those keeping us safe like FBI agents. So what gives well even though essential personnel are expected to show up without getting paid. That doesn't mean they have money to actually do their jobs. Some agents say there's no money to pay informants. And they've lost several sources who've worked for years to penetrate groups and target subjects. Others say the shutdown. It's been a major setback for drug and child abuse investigations. And still another agent says that a division investigating the MS thirteen th street gang. No longer has a Spanish translator way. You mean? The same dangerous MS thirteen that Donald Trump warned us is crossing our border without a wall. The same way. Wall that's holding up reopening the government. So that we have money to fight MS thirteen. I know don't get me wrong. By the way, the Democrats are fully participating in the pettiness to. Here's Arizona, congressman David Schweickart talking to Chad Benson last night. It's a little hard to come to conclusion. Come to a decision come to a compromise. When functionally half, the debate doesn't actually to any meetings or doesn't return the phone call law enforcement doesn't have what it needs to keep us safe. And they're acting like this grow up get your act together compromise and.

"Problems for FBI agents in public safety and undercover FBI agent in the southeast saying he's had to put child-sex-abuse suspects on standby without the funds or manpower to go after them and other agents saying they've run out of money to make fake purchases of drugs and guns. So they can arrest gang members the FBI association saying the month long shutdown has delayed critical training and delayed a number of counterintelligence investigations. So what he's talking about Andy there is FBI agents association, which is made up of fourteen thousand current and former agents, they released a report and a lot of agents anonymously reported some things are kind of disturbing. They have no money to pay informants quotes, we have lost several sources who have worked for. For months and years to penetrate groups and target subjects this according to one joint terrorism task force coordinator other agents say the shutdown as you just heard it's been a major setback for drug probes child abuse investigations other agents are warning that the shutdown has eliminated any ability to operate. That's a quote from this report and official investigating the MS thirteen street gang, which of course, the president likes to talk about an absolutely a threats. Says the division. No longer has a Spanish speaker who can communicate with informants, which is a problem if you're talking with people from central and South America, and Mexico. Yeah. That's a problem about five thousand of the FBI thirty five thousand employees are staying home because of the shutdown all are going without pay. So well is there any movement? Is there any movement on the shutdown at all? Here's congressman David Schweickart on. With Chad Benson last night. He says negotiating with the Democrats is next to impossible. It's a little hard to come to conclusion. Come to a decision come to a compromise. When functionally half, the debate doesn't actually show to any meetings or doesn't return the phone call. So how much longer does he think is gonna last if you would ask me a month ago? I would have said, oh, this will just go on a few days every single member of leadership on the democrat side Republican side have voted for money for security walls in the past. They voted for a lot more money than this. So what's happened? All right. So what's it gonna congressman David Schweickart on with Chad Benson last night? And you know, what you know, what a lot of people are focusing on the state of the union. The stink in state of the union address. Yes, it's important. It's constitutional it should happen. But it's not important as making sure that we have money to operate operations that help protect us from MS thirteen street gangs and child molesters and terrorism. Honestly, it's gotten absolutely ridiculous. People need to just stop acting like children. I think last I don't think it was. I don't think I was misinformed last week. When in my sharper point commentary. I suggested that my kids who can't manage to get through five minutes in their shared room without somebody tattling on somebody really are more mature than a lot of the politicians in Washington right now figure it out people be grown ups. Okay. Six eighteen now KTAR then. It is time to head back to the one of the grownups in the room.
