"P W b A P Does home we discussed disrupting illegal gun trafficking. Now the gun lobby wants you to believe that cities that are the toughest gun had the toughest gun laws still have the highest rates of gun violence, as was pointed out by the group we had today in our roundtable. The the violence is so they argue. Why do you need those gun laws if they don't work in cities that have tough loss? Well, that's a That's a question that I'd like an answer to all I heard. Was. Let's do more government programs. Let's throw more. Of course, this is the Democrats answer to everything. Let's throw more money at it. And let's crack down on gun dealers. If I heard the word dealer once I heard it 50 times, Good friend of mine has ego Gun range, two locations here in Dallas. Great guy. You won't find a nicer guy. More honest guy and the owner of Ego Gun range David Princes with me, David. What did you think? I mean, I can't even I don't even know how to start a conversation on what I just saw. Uh, I have to believe the same thing you do is just the gun dealers was mentioned a lot. You know you not talk a lot recall with a period of time and we've said over and over again. We don't have a lack of laws. We have a lack of law enforcement. And you can't have law enforcement unless you have more police officers, So I'm glad he's turned somewhat around and saying, Look, we can't enforce laws police officer So let's Hire more police officers. What's kind of aggravating to me is all this federal money is now going to have to go to these five cities, Six cities that he named over and over again of doubt. You know, they've defunded their police. So now the rest of the nation has got to Tony up to help them with their crime. And it's ridiculous. I mean, they've laid off defunded their police. Villainized their police. And now we, the rest of the country who believe in law enforcement are now forced to support their Corrupt. City governments, So it's just it's sad. The gun dealers you know, there is a law against that for a long time. He did mention it. A T F doesn't have the personnel to prosecute them, and that's that's been true. The police department can't go after the firearm trafficking. I don't know. In addition to a shooting range, you sell firearms. Um all types of firearms. You do background checks. You do everything you're supposed to do under the letter of the law, and most dealers do so. I guess his point and I'm still struggling, trying to make sense of what he said in those lucid moments he had behind the mic. I'm still trying to figure out what he means. Well, you know these bad drug drug dealers, these bad gun dealers. What did he mentioned? 5%. I mean, you already do everything under the law. He was making the argument for exactly the opposite of what All those cities have done. You need more cops. You need more law enforcement. To inform Of course, he went off the rails. Do that Sugary, sweet liberal left. Well, if we just had more basketball goals or a summer work programs, we wouldn't see these crimes. What What the what is he talking about? Yeah. I mean, I don't mind The devil's workshop, according to his mom, and that's at least we got that part out of him. That was lucid. The, uh you got to keep kids busy, which is great, But the rest of the world has got to pay for it all the United States that have good programs and healthy families. Are going to have to go in and pay for all of this. Um, he just Yeah, See, now it's all I can say. You know, I think you're probably right. David Prints owner of Ego Gun range. Um I appreciate very much your coming on at the last minute. Uh, you know, I can't imagine. As a as a reputable state of the art gun center like you have having to listen to this, and he just he seemed to throw everybody into the mix because he doesn't have a plan. David Prince. Thank you so much, my friend. I appreciate it very, very much. I am totally out of time. My email is literally levitating. Um,.

Like off the top of my head. Let me tell you our last thing. Actually, Esparza. Everything feels me when you're far away is the penultimate line from her poem Incense. And we chose this title for the anthology as the language not only elucidated a current state of presence during the pandemic, you know, kind of for all of us. But it is also we felt it was prescient for the marvelously following line. That enter poem doesn't old thing? No. When a new thing will come So we were so happy to find that title in her poem. We really thought it fit and I just wanted to mention that the exhibition of the selection of the student work in poetry that's up in the rail yard is so huge and dynamic We hope that lots of people will take the time to go over and look at it, But you can just see it if you drive by you see these cool images, and we also have this marvelous anthology that Axl has available for sale. And Ah, beautiful cover, and like I said it collects all the student artwork in the poems and the poems are just exquisite. I mean, we really were so impressed with the student work and so grateful for all the time they put in and all the time of the teachers. Put in, and it's unfortunate that we really only met a few of the students who came to the live opening, and I never worked this way before in the last year, Probably lots of people haven't on Lee over. Zoom. I'm I'm used to teaching workshops, you know in person, and it's just not nearly the same. So But I love it. You know, I've been reading it and looking at it. It's like Wow. Who? Where'd this come from? You know, it's it's time, but it's space. I mean, it's very, very evocative it so it's a great line to use. On a cover of a book. Um, we say kids very generically here. What are the ages? The students. They were nine through 12 graders. I don't think we had any nice break. Do we have any nice? Greater scary? I think they were to 10 10 to 12. Big kids, Big kids. Yeah, Yeah, they are. All right, students. We don't We shouldn't take kids, students. All right, big big students. 10th, 11th and 12th graders. Jerry, where? Where can I get the book? "Party that believes in democracy. Or Authoritarians party based on big lies, conspiracy theories and in fact movement toward violence, and I hope the Republicans make the right decision and come down on the side of democracy. Or they'll be canceled out, right? Yeah, because if you support Trump, you voted for Trump And you outwardly voice that bin you're canceled. See that to me is not dissenting debate. That's dictatorial censorship is what that is. I mean, when used as intended executive orders. What are they? What are they supposed to be for toe Help mitigate a crisis. Right? Um, democracy. That's the best answer. And in to rule by executive order, continually like Biden has done in the last 10 days. That's not democracy by anyone's definition. Um all right. I'm sorry. That's the way I feel it, Z Ruling a nation. Especially like the United States by executive order is not democracy. It's a dictatorship. Andy in Farmersville, Andy, how you doing? I'm doing and her probably better than you are. You probably have all the nerves. You know, It's not it Z tell you it's not the pain that keeps me up at night. It's just wondering. You know the process How that works. Well, I've had five I'm 37. I've had five my first one night was a 13 months old. My last one was in 2014. And as a kid remembering what it was like. And the last one that I had. Pain management. They have down to a science now. Others. Yeah, they get you ahead of the curve, So you don't You don't ever get really bad and paint. Wait a minute, do five open heart surgeries and a stroke. So you obviously have had some kind of Wasn't a genetic issue or or what it was. It was a congenital birth defect. Okay? All right. I had a bad day or itself. As though they've replaced that a couple times now, and I've got a porcine valve now and hopefully when I go to have that replace, they'll just be able to float it and not have to crack me open again, like like you're talking about Yeah, I'm not looking forward to that. I've had Red bones wired, and that's never a fun time. Well, like the wife color that you have talking about it. The recovery the next day. It's what I was gonna disappoint I was going to make. They're gonna want you to walk and I won't why I was comfortable. But their recovery time way up. So I mean, a zoo much is it? Not what you want to do it help! I know we're all praying for you. Well, listen, Andy. I appreciate, especially coming from the position that you're coming from five open heart surgeries and And I'm just facing one. So, Andy, I appreciate the kind words and the background. I appreciate it very, very much. Let's go to Steven in Grand Prairie. Stephen, how you doing? I'm doing good thoughts and prayers are with you and on Lee suggestion I have is that you put a sign on your door that says no comedians allowed because that fella won't say here. Uh, I've got a pretty dry sense of humor. I'll try to ratchet it back a little bit. Okay. Well, I'm gonna make three points and I'll let you comment on him or first one is. Where are the We're on all these appointed judges. Standing up against these executive orders like they did during the Trump administration. Right Clicking is my wife is for all these people had time to go to rallies get involved in the foundation of your politics, the school boards Hey, man, City Council's a man all that because until you start fixing the problem at that level Enjoy the ride. And in my third point is for the people who are giving the money and you know, I've I've heard your callers what I do when I get Money like my last $600. I got I go by 6 $100 gift cards. I take him to my church. And they given to people who are honestly you need because I'm doing fine. My wife's retired. We're okay. We don't need the money, but at least my church gets it to people who do need the money. And was that Best wishes on what you're going to go through and I'll let you respond. I appreciate it very much. Yeah, I I would like to know where those conservative judges are as well because by my reckoning there no conservative judges out there. There may be a few here and there but for the life of me, they don't. They don't show up when you need him, so I would agree with you on that. And those I mean these executive orders. I mean, they can be, uh, they can be reversed. They could be They can expire, obviously, but, you know, they carry the weight of law, you know, and you talk about what you're doing with your $600 check. You know, I had an interesting conversation yesterday. You've heard me talk about David prints. He owns Eagle Gun range on, but I think David had a family gathering and And I don't know, you know, tossing and turning and up and down, And I just need to go throw some rounds through that Beretta. So, um, I went out to his other location. And method manager out there. Damn Vita, and I'm telling you what man, you would be hard pressed to find a guy that was more accommodating than Dan Vita and I went out and took the bread out and ran about 50 rounds through it, but We got to talking about raising money for fallen officers, and you know other people were chime in in about, you know? Yeah, Yeah, really. I truly believe. Based on you know what I saw out there legal gun range and some other things. You know, before the federal government got in the business of being your daddy churches, just like you're talking about Steven. In different groups. You know, they you know, they picked up the mantle of of, you know, taking care of those in the community that had fallen on hard times. And you know, if what I saw a loud yesterday it was in the afternoon was any indication. No, that spirit of Americans still out there and you know we were damn it..

"Just if if you could get that I'd appreciate it. He incited. The mob to do what they did? Yes. So, basically, you're saying those were Trump supporters? You don't know that. You don't know whether Antifa was injected into all of those people. You don't know if in TIFA or other anarchist groups were involved, you don't know. And now represents state representative Kinzinger from Illinois. He's a Republican. Along with Pelosi. He's now calling for invoking the 25th amendment to remove President Trump from office or Congress will start impeachment. And you all know why. Let's go to Brad in Fort Worth, Brad, How you doing in Fort Worth? Good afternoon. How are you, sir? I am well, thank you. Temple, Quick points and I went it. Just tear your reaction. What's going on today is nothing more than our elected leaders trying to pour gas on an open flame. And it's dangerous. Yeah, I didn't do. This is the tip of the iceberg. I'm afraid the Biden administration is part of their platform that indicated that they're going to go after the Second Amendment. Either directly or indirectly, and that's particularly dangerous, especially right now. Um, Item three. And I don't wanna play this down at all. Or dead on a snowy day and D C. That's a slow day in Chicago. Or a slow day the rest of the country. And I am for people like me and I and I don't know. I don't compare myself to radical have a breaking point, also and there and it's and they're getting close. They're getting close. And there are millions like me who are being pushed and they're close as well. And I just want to get your feedback on this. Well, first of all, Brad, I have said it and I maintain that every law abiding, responsible man and woman in this country should be armed. Because you just never know. You don't want to be a victim. Certainly, um, I've carried for years and not because you know, I want anybody to know that I have a firearm. I don't want to be a statistic. I don't wanna be a footnote. In some rag newspaper. Um, you are you're wrong. First responder. A to least until the police or other law enforcement can get there. What do you do? In the meantime, talk him to death. Swing at him with a nine iron. So as far as the second Amendment goes, we got to stay on top of that. That's one of the most fundamental rights every law abiding American hands in this country. Is the right to keep and bear arms to make sure they're not victims to make sure their families they're not victims. I talked to David prints all the time about this. David is a good friend of mine. He owns ego, gun range and You know if you're looking for a firearm or how to use it training and you gotta give me a call. No, that's not a cheesy plug it just the truth. Aziz far as The four dead anyone? Killed or dying because of something diminishes all of us to some extent, and I'm not trying to get S O. Terry can all for philosophical on you. But there's no reason why that woman should be dead of young one. She was a veteran. Um, there's no reason for it on if Joe Biden wants to infer, and that's exactly and Joseph. Do you have that sound bite yet from the news? Okay. Play that real quick. Go ahead. No matter what Ted Cruz does next, he's gonna have a huge group of people are gonna oppose him. No, no, no, no. The one Joe Biden talking about Trump inciting everyone while you get that I'll go to Michael and Michael, where you calling from? I'm somewhere in Kentucky, right now headed back to Texas. We've been a pair of rally in Washington. Give me your perspective, be our eyes and ears. If you will, Yes, our first the president had asked his supporters to come and the women for Trump it organized. They got to permit and Told us that we would be the at the White House to hear the president speak, and then we would Go to the capital. And so the gentleman that you spoke to earlier I think his estimates were right. There were hundreds of thousands of people, probably somewhere between half a million people. It's the biggest crowd I've ever been in. It was very peaceful. It was a lot of people common values, a lot of camaraderie. And so we were all walking to the capital. We got to the capital and I got to that wallet that pool where he said he was arrogant and my wife and I decided to move forward closer to the capital. And as we were approaching the steps to the capital, there was a crowd of people barely moving, and there was a row of people coming back, and we saw some elderly people, probably seventies early eighties. And there were tears in their eyes because they have been hit by tear gas. And then there were some young Children that were around 10 years old, and they also had tears in their eyes because they've been hit with the tear gas When we saw A young man who had a flash bang device, blow up in his face and have done damage to his mouth and he was bleeding badly. And in a string of people coming back, and the crowd kept pushing up and people and we kept hearing these can inspiring and seeing the smoke from the tear gas and We heard reports of rubber bullets being fired into the crowd, and I couldn't see anything happening to justify that behavior on it was infuriating. Myself and the people around us watching peaceful protesters coming Or ah, Peaceful assembly for redress of grievances being fired on and treated like they were enemy combatants. And there were some people that were pressing up against the police. Along a US stairs to the side of some scaffold. It was very narrow. And we watched when I don't know exactly when it happened. But finally that calling began to move up to the Capitol, and they reached The patio around the capital. And then people began appearing from the opposite side coming from the back of the capital. So my wife and I we walked around to the back of the capital. It was open pathway. There were no police. The police have gone back to the doors. We're standing in front of the doors of the capital. There were a lot of people up there on the patio around the capital. There was no violence. There was no altercation between the people in the police. It all was very friendly. We took some pictures, and then we decided we were leaving. And I guess after we left after swim, somebody decided to break the windows and Because there were no police in front of the windows. Somebody decided to break the windows and go in and this horrible tragedy..
