"I'm Robin James and it is two more hours of Monday night trivia, all the bumpers are in honor of Scottie. There won't be calling in anymore and I'm missing already. We were worried, but now thanks to Dennis, who took the time to go to east Chicago, Indiana and check it out. Sadly, Scotty no longer with us as of February 9th, rest in peace, Scotty, and I know you love that in 1957 on BJ. So 888-876-5593 88 88, Raleigh. The odds are that a company's stock will go up 70% if they do this, do what? All right, Don and Beloit, what do you think? Hey, Riley, how are you today to take my call, you know? Sure. On this night, I got a kind of a good laugh for you too. Because I think we all need a laugh, but I'm sorry, you know, what sets you apart on a night like this is that your guys are all family. I mean, it's all a big family that's thanks to you. It's your credit to you and your listeners. Yeah, so credit to them believe me. I'm just the ringleader. That's the easy part. And I thank everybody who calls and will all miss Scottie. I think what sets it apart is that you got people that all recognize quality. We don't recognize quality music across all genres and he wasn't encyclopedia. Just in the cyclopedia of knowledge about this. Absolutely. You mentioned hullabaloo, the show hell of a loo, right? Yes. I mean, that was Sammy Davis Jr., of course, right? Well, it was many, many, many people, obviously. Oh, I didn't know a lot of people hosted it. Sorry. Absolutely. No, and Sam didn't host it. He was on it, occasionally, but had been on it, but no, absolutely not. Well, you know, you're listeners make this show, because you bring it in as a family. And that's why it gets to us. Anyway, thank you so much for what you're doing. Oh yeah. Yeah. I got a funny, I got a funny joke to throw this all together. But I think my answer, I was like, Donald, you know, I was thinking initially the split, but I heard Donald was wrong. So now you've got Don from Beloit. I think I got the right answer, maybe. Because I went through this myself a few times, but I think it's one of the company announces layoffs. No, I'll God, I hope that's wrong, but it sounds pretty true, doesn't it? But that's not it. Oh, well, my other guests was that I think any company that wants to move forward, they should put a big giant poster of Charlie Rich in their boardroom. I'd be an interesting would bring it all home. Yeah, boy. I'll raise a glass to that. All right, good deal. Thank you for calling. All right, appreciate it. Yeah. And hullabaloo of course was the answer to shindig and steep ender who was involved with it, the dreaded Tammy show. I say that because of what a fiasco that was. He directed it, but I think Sam Davis did a couple of them, but it was everybody with Jerry Lewis and Petula Clark and David McCallum did a couple in Frankie Avalon. The announcer, though, was Johnny Holliday. A big top 40 jockey KY and other stations as well originally from Miami. Okay, 888-876-5593 88 88 Raleigh. And Marla was in Jackson. Hey, marlowe. How you doing? Not very well. How about yourself? What do you mean? Yeah. I mean, I was listening to the radio my radio fade out so bad. And when the other young lady were talking, I thought, something happened to Scott. He died on February 9th. When you sign that out. Well, we sent Dennis. My pilot friend Dennis from Colorado, he flew in, he spent three days there, and he told me today he found out for sure this morning. Scott on the phone, y'all was talking about y'all trying to get it. He's trying to get his insurance and stuff. Exactly. And I know, and that really worries me because it was right around that time. Right, and you know you was weird. I mean, I'd be hearing it. We're in a sky there. Do you have a car started please call this, and then oh, man, that's a shocker. Well, absolutely. And like I say, I've seen no bit, and I've been searching for an obit. And I feel like I feel really bad because I was off that week he died on the 9th and you know John stroke was on the second, so I was off, and if he was listening that last week, it was just replays. So that was in favor when he passed away. Yes, February 9th. Yeah. Wow. It's a reason to remember the jacksonians passed away. You have, I was going to tell you about. And he was original last week. Oh no, what was the deal? What he died from? Cancer, I believe. And he played on it. He was leg good top for he playing on that hooker to the new. Oh, really okay. Yeah. He is king folks in Cleveland, Ohio, lose some people. That's right, we got the record deal with way out records. He was original. He passed away. I'm sorry. How old was he? He was 86. Okay. All right. He was kind of older than we were, you know, when he played when we got the group together the street. You know, he was original. Right. Bob and molten, bob and Morton. Oh, I'm so so sorry to hear that. Yeah, I've got to go and really be missing there's not my thing when I heard you talking about that. And I went for she will come and radio was fading out so bad because it had been thunderstorms here. Right. When I was young on this guy. Yeah, we all are. I just don't think I can do a scene. Let me know. Well, thank you. You know, I mean, the only problem. The only comfort is he's in a better place, but the rest of us are left here behind, and that's the tough part. And Syria, you see the mouth of the word dance. Yeah. I thought I called and she was sorry to hear about it. I know you've been trying to find him. Where are you? All the time. Right. Well, now we know what this happened all of a sudden, you know. I'll talk about the insurance. Yeah, that would be going here. And he was

I think it's scene at the very end where all were the like pallets walkway in that big story wherever they are oh no. I was a huge prisoner family prisoner fan, Morgan. I am not a number. I am my name and McGoohan. He also did a couple of things with Disney. They're not spy. He did a lot of, uh, masterpiece theater style kind of pieces towards the end of his life, you know, playing kings and royalty and Shakespeare and all that Columbus Yeah, and the one I loved the one I love. Morgan was when he was the head of the military academy and the cannon blew up. So he was a master didn't want for times. Yeah, he didn't. He didn't want girls in the academy. "To the Morgan Show. I have three people who want to speak to David McCallum. And I've got roughly only 13 minutes to get them all through. So let's begin with Michael from Boston. Good evening. Hello, Michael. Hi. Good evening. How are you? All right. Um, I have a question for Mr McCallum, um, as a fan and as a season ticket holder, ticket holder at the dentist Playhouse here on Cape Cod. Um, David, we used to go all the time. And I remember you in several Plays and in consecutive summers, I think, beginning in 76 I remember the most trapped very clearly, uh, and several other romantic comedy and most of them being comedies, But I wondered if you remember them if you remember playing Cape Cod. In the seventies and early eighties. And if you did theater, remember a series that didn't work? Uh, called the invisible man, and I think It had a short run of 13 weeks or less. And maybe this is because you participated in summer stock. Or did you do this theater just to recharge your batteries or as an exercise? I mentioned the invisible man when I introduced David, but Uh, David, if you could answer his question. Well, invisible man is one story completely separate had nothing to do with summer stock. Summer stock was some of the some of the most wonderful years or months that we spent together as a family. The Children were very young. We had a lot of friends along the routes in theaters were great. I love playing Dennis, Massachusetts with the best And, you know, one night Hawk crew when a record a lot of fish and that this big table always big fish on them, and I didn't know what to do with them. So I was the one that was again did the life because I know how to feel the efficient get it ready cooking and then they cooked it and then a great time. I think was a bit oily, and they should guide But no, we had a wonderful, wonderful that every year many, many different place, I think Curl. Shelley and I held the record for the number of times going back to that circuit. And there was Dennis, Massachusetts, We went down to Palm Beach. Um, that I think when I started, there were about 12 years. Maybe more. And then it's slowly dwindled over the years, the theater's closed Until there were only there was Westport. I think and Dennis? Um, yeah, very, very few. And then finally, it just collapsed. Well, a gun. Quit was another wonderful theatre. And then John Land. Thank you. Good Hope, Michael. Goodnight. Thank you for taking the time to call. Let's go to John. Your next here in the Morgan.

"Victims in our thoughts and hearts for many people this day matters because they lost someone on this day, and it's important to them that we never forget. I'm Dan Watkins. They're welcome back to the Morgan Chauffeured only on WBZ. Am, Morgan. I'll be here to midnight. Uh, Jordan will be joining me attend Jordan Rich. And Barbara Feldon joining This show The Morgan show at 11. Right now. I've got David McCallum and we are about to go to Brighton. Brighton, England with Britain. Uh, quick little segment of Boston where Harvey lives. Hello, Harvey. Hi. Hi, Morgan. This is Harvey and brighten. Hello, Harvey. Hi, Morgan. I'm not a great fan of yours. I love you. I love yourself. Thank you. Oh, no. Did my accountants on tonight also speaking to him right now? Always, David. I'm a great admire of yours for probably over 60 years. Oh, great. Yeah, I know you've had a long career, but, um, I remember seeing you probably remember this. I'm never seeing you in the six finger. You remember that episode of outer limits? Well, I was going to forget it. I got to work with Joseph Bonanno. You know, Road Psycho? Yeah. Body needs that was one of the most inspirational. Stories I've ever come across. And, uh, I love you for doing that episode, It opened my mind to the universe. I look a lot of you for doing that episode and his character name was Gillum. Walser Gillam with the character that he portrayed Yes. Well, alright, very interesting because when we were shooting that at the very end he gets in the machine. You know it. It takes him forward and back and all that. No, no, wondering at the way Yeah, exactly. We're trying to figure out what's the best way to end it that he end up with just a little pool of water on the seat monkey or what it is. But let David finish the story. He gave up on himself, which was, uh, the simplest and most simple way event ending the whole thing. Yeah, I guess coming back. People was probably the most important thing. You did another. You did another outer limits as well, Did you not David? Yeah, That's funny things unknown. Who is it was Cedric never people. Yeah, you did. Time time tilting with barber, Russian Vera Miles, Yes. Wow and I You've done a lot. Also, That's just a thimble full. Of the work this man has done on the big screen and a little screen. And you're still doing a lot today. I admire you still have it. And I'm I'm going to ask this question because when you and I spoke a couple of weeks ago the line this up Uh, you mentioned that most likely they are going to be using you less and less. I You still going to be involved? If the show maintains its momentum. I used to going to be involved within C. I s. I've told them Morgan, whatever they wanted to do. I'll do And if they want me to do more, I'll do four. But with the pandemic and with the budget for the keeping the whole crew safe testing and everything to CVS, and everybody has had to cut down on the number of shows. They produced and ducky is a character is very interesting, but I think the younger and the new members and the people that are coming in now Two NC A as the program. I think they take precedent so well, you know things from the past. All right. I'm going to ask you to bring him One more back story tale. And all right. Um, Harvey. Goodnight. Thank you for your call. Great talking to you. Thank you. YouTube. And you mentioned there was this episode. Kind of Berlin. You're on season four, or 5 to 6. Where If somebody wanted to know. What a young ducky looked like. And they ask Gibbs. So what did he look like? And you're not pleased. That they referenced. Your man from Uncle characters. Alien Corey active. That's what keeps said He looked a little bit like alien curry Aachen. And you didn't like that. So if you want to tell my audience why you didn't like hearing that I think there are certain conventions and and, uh, the writing of plays and even books. And I think there are certain when you're writing a book on one particular in one particular style, or when you're doing something television program and that particular way that has certainly conventions and you don't cross From one convention into another convention, and I think the CIA's is they're wonderful. Semi documentary story about what the true and CIA agents do in order to keep the Marines and the others were with the Marines safe and Healthfully, and I would, you know, prosecute them when they commit crimes, And that's what the story is all about. The man from Uncle was a fictitious thing on NBC way back in the past. Friend had nothing to do with then CIA on nothing to do with reality for that matchup jump from one convention to another just for oil. It's a was sort of cheap joke. As far as I'm concerned, which people loved Until I was proved wrong in the end. Well, let me ask this and then I'll take my break. The movie that came out about four or five years ago. With Henry Cavil and Army actor. They brought back The title. The man from Uncle There were very few similarities and that movement and that team spoke to Robert or I or anybody else associated with the show. They just when did that movie and they did a very like job. She was beautiful and gorgeous and wonderful, knew how to wear all those clothes. But Apart from that, you know, there wasn't nothing extra special about it, and certainly no reference to what we did. And I didn't. I did not like That the character of Aleah Koury Aachen What super strong No one's going to the motorcycle over their head and throw it at somebody. Well, I mean, it was nothing to do. Uh, you know, it was just the name nothing else, right? And I.

"However, A small movie a long time. A girl. It was cold Day to remember. Yes, and and you played the system Wireless operator on the top Katic. There are I believe it was the first review made about the Titanic. And But it was just very, uh, like like old movies, and that's one of my favorite and there you did very well on that movie. As was interesting concert. Remember it well. Um, I ran because I drove out to Pinewood and they had built a huge section of the ship on the back lock, but the angle it was when it was sinking, and it was the most Impressive said I think I've ever seen in my life, uh, even better than the sets on Cleopatra, but that sure so real so real. Because I heard that they used the new technology in order to fill those, uh, parts, you know, with the Dutch chairs, removing as a secret Chevy as ship was seeking. You have the And the chairs and the tables in the dining room. It was very Breathtaking, I guess, but it was clear the movie people saw the other Titanic. Um, it's a very interesting and sobering, um, difference to actually sit down and watch. Tonight's remember and those people that liked the film that Titanic should actually watch, and I remember because it's it's very educational and teaches you a great deal. And a night to remember depended much more on acting. I'm not knocking Leonardo, the Caprio and Bill easing or any of the other performance that made that movie, But they didn't have the special effects available to them in 1959, so they depended on acting. What a novel idea. Yes, well, yeah. They had an extraordinary group of special effects people that created the images and remember which are quite defying. And of course, when we were in the water, you know, bride is one of the people who survived, so he managed to get himself onto the an upturned lifeboat. And we shot it in the rice. That leader which is the little reservoir in the north of London, and it was only about 10 degrees warmer than it was in the Atlantic and the ship sank. Remember being very, very cold in that water. You know? Wow. Yeah, because I heard that they used to do kind of technology to film. Those scenes with the The first ER drifting up and back there. It's quite dramatic, and, uh, also were that, uh, the cast that already young and Bernard Fox with that movie, too? Yeah, That's how I don't know to remember. Yes, it's funny. Bernard Fox within both Titanic and a night to remember. Really? Yes. Oh, Forward. This is Yeah, uh, major career Titanic's on Yeah. And yeah, Before I go, Uh, Morgan, I want to thank you so much for shining your light for me on the The turn Easier. White SOG pokes out added by Elvis fresh weight. And, uh, I Googled it on Spotify and I got a A lot performance. Uh, him doing it? He did. He did it just like Tony White. Very white did it? I told you it was seen large. Parts. I've seen him do that song live many retirement Vegas. Oh, wow. Yeah. Okay. Well, thank you for taking my call and And then again, we're thinking of the The people want involved in the 9 11 so, Absolutely thank you. All right, David. Take care. Thank you. Paul and Quincy. Your first with Ray Flynn. Yes, Screening Morgan and, uh, Great swim by Paul. Hey, look. Last week you were at a event down and mash be, um, Sounds like it was a fundraiser for the governor. He and you had a lot of, uh Races for Governor Baker doesn't It doesn't bother me that he's a Republican, and you're a Democrat. Could you give me some specifics? Not an answer, like he's stun a lot of the schools, but not a lot for the elderly. Some specifics as to why you endorse him. What has he done? That's so great. The last four years that you're endorsing him something else If you wouldn't mind. Well, Paul, I don't know whether specific is important for my point of view. Because that's not how I vote. That may be how you vote, But that's not how I vote. I don't look for the person is perfectly compatible. You know, with the way I think you know, I'm an old man now, and I've And through some real real tough times. And I've seen the city girl I've seen people change and I've seen communities in transition. So you know you go with What is best for the collective good. No. Charlie Baker. Let me tell you something. When I was mayor of Boston, Charlie Baker was administration and finance. Under. I guess it was Bill Weld. And he came up to the apartment house. And he sat there and talked to me for about three hours. And he wanted to know what's going on the city because I had been an elected official in Boston for many years, both as a state representative and as a city councilor. Well, I talked to him. Principally above what I believe. And one of the things that I was talking about that had a big impact on him, apparently was my commitment to the homeless. I did a lot for the homeless people, not fan fears. I'm not Press releases are not any of that kind of stuff. Just I mentioned this guy that was the homeless guy. Any date. And I saw him die. His name was Jimmy the broom. If you check the paper, you'll see that Jimmy Broom was quite a tragic character home her every homeless person. Well, anyway, you know that was motivating factor with me, and I told Charlie Baker who's just coming in to be the top person under governor welds. And he said maybe 78 10 years later. He said, one of the things that have the greatest impact on his political life. Was listening to Mayor Ray Flynn. Talk about the homeless. He thought he was going to talk about finances because he was the head of administration and finance. Charlie was And he said he talked about the poor. He talked about the homeless. He talked about the needy. He talked about people didn't have any housing in all this. And and and Charlie almost started crying Really when he when he told me that story years later. And you know that we're like, What can you answer that? Can you answer the question? No, no, no. I mean the question. Not the way you wanted some way I want to wear you understand that. Well, it doesn't sound like stand. I'm not answering the question The way you wanted answered. I'm answering the question. I I vote for the person on their character. On their their what? What's important to them. I don't go checking around to see what their picture what their position is on income tax and and all these other things, they all change. You know, they all change, you know. So if you change with the times, look at Joe Biden. I mean, you know, I've known Joe Biden when I played professional basketball down in Wilmington, Delaware. You know his? He has changed dramatically. Take my word for I know him. I know his mother. I've seen the change. I'm not being critical of it. I'm just saying the top people change from the top of it. Have a good night. Thanks a lot. All right, Paul, and I think, yeah. Weren't listening. Because the man was answering your question. I think with pinpoint accuracy, but let me go to John and Dorchester. Hello, John. John John.

"Peter kay does your comedy recognizes trying to get into one person tonight. You one perseus base very exciting for you. I just have excited. I was when you said still. I remember that episode of sapphire and steel. Which was a sideline thing. We've joanna lumley. Yeah and david mccallum and the great escape as well massive fan up and there was one episode that really stuck with me whether it was faceless man it was hide all photographs. That was terrified. He turned to be a faces and at the end of it. They said oh we have to. Do we find we have to do is never appear in and the other photograph. Forget in your life which nine seventy five would probably be. Now it'd be an issue you've never be quits in iphones and up. I'm not gonna do that so and you work in weaver. Tom cruise mission impossible five five now down three to five in three. Yeah i was. I was mad. Go right. we're writing hot fuzz in office one day and i literally said this is ridiculous but i actually said in an interview when shaun of the dead sort it was doing well and some journalists are what are you gonna go after hollywood now like something that people cross a bridge and they never come back and and very adamantly said no. I'm not going to go off and do mission impossible three it like it was like a film. I made up like people make a video game. Nickel death kill seven and it just like a really rubbish film. It didn't even exist. And then like six weeks later j.j. Abrams caught up because he'd seen literally just ensuring the dead and he said i enjoyed the film when he said. I'll see if that guy wants to work with me and said you wanna be in michigan and on on. I told the mayor that. I wouldn't have you got i No and then the next thing. I was overdoing like three or four days on it. That's all it did but it was very strange. Suddenly had this massive speech. On the first day greg long rambling exposition about some weapon or something. And i couldn't fuck into and crew. Tom cruise and ving rains came on and he was so patient with me. Because i just kept messing up because i was like won a competition to be in a film and i i really trying to hold it together and eventually i did and then the fourth one is sort of a little more used to things by and then the fifth one we're gonna make next year and it's it's interesting. He's a very interesting. Yes your character or tom. Tom cruise i know he's he's he's extraordinary person. Everybody kind of ever made sim kinda just goes and a lot of people have an opinion on him but everyone does met him kind of likes it. because he's very he's sort of built for what he does which is to make movies and be a big star and that seems to be his is rosen and he does it very very well and he's very generous and extremely professional and lovely and you kind of like you me him and you come away so i every time if ever he contacted me in any way of very sort of pigeon arrives with his little d- on i get very excited. Still busy is a mind-blowing blowing or is it just seemed natural to you that you are now in star trek and then obviously when doing spaced is all about paying homage. These genres is it. Mind or is it just happened and it happens over very long. Jump into a very hot bath without lowering yourself and your scream head off. If you lower yourself in very gently you'll just above. And i am a state of just because it's very strange but also you realize that it's just a business. I don't know it demoralizes itself as you enter into it so once you once you're sort of parts of star. Trek is amazing because the sets are incredible. And we're very excited about what we're doing because it's star trek and you know no one ever loses sigh of that but it is also a job and just sort of get on with it. I threw up on this on the last one. Really violently i was at twice actually was poisoning but i had to do a scene in the film where i had to run across this long space hangar and i have to sort of let kirk come about through this whole economy. I'm trying not to say that. And and i if it was benedict. Got an actor coming in and i had to sprint down and it was. It was a massive set in plyer in california where they where they they built. The spruce moose. This was what was it. Called with the preschools. This bs they build that plane there and it's a gigantic hanger and they build sets there.
