"Don't you get it? The woman and she would Andre person someone wouldn't get some liberal stuck sitting in the group. I'm sure the pearls were clutched from sea to shining sea. My goodness, What did he just How dare you say that? How intolerant and Yeah, they would get all in a tizzy. Bob. I appreciate the phone call. That's a great story, And that's a great joke. No, I had I hadn't heard that. That's the thing about radio is you you? That's why Right. People listened to three hours of rush. They knew something indeed. Learn something and you'd laugh at the same time, and you didn't want to miss it. That's why you'd sit in your driveway until the commercial break so you could go in the house and turn the radio on. I didn't want to go in the middle of a monologue and then come back in and the house and go. What did I miss? You get those driveway moments constantly. Labor. Just a couple more things will get them or your phone calls. I promise for getting to you, I I collect signed books less so now because last year you can't go out and get book signed anymore. There's no book signings. But I have about 1000. Maybe 1500 signed books. Has when I worked in think Thanks. I was getting book sent Get books sent there all the time in working in politics. There have just piles of books everywhere The Nazis dream because you could burn them all. Whether the left would love to burn my book collection. But I occasionally would buy Signed book rather than Get a book signed by somebody. And Rush Limbaugh was one of those people that you know, you just don't see very many books floating around signed by him, and I wanted to buy one. But I wanted to make sure was real that I like. I know David Libai. He's a good friend. I know both snored. Liza, good friend and I have two other friends who work for rush in New York. And I could have Technically asked them to get me a book signed, but it just It felt Wrong? I don't know. I don't want to exploit that. I assume they get that all that I just don't wanna be that guy's Hey, Would you get me a book sign? What if I send you a book where you get it? Pester them and everything. I just didn't want to do that. It's it makes me uncomfortable that do it. So I see on eBay. There's a copy of the way things ought to be. Signed. But I don't know. It just wasn't comfortable with a signature just didn't something about it didn't sit right. So I sent the link to David Limbaugh. And I said David This looks like your brother's signature. About five minutes later, he writes back and says. Rush says no. Okay, Well, that's good enough. I didn't You can have all your certifications and letters of authenticity you want If Rush says no. Rush says no amount of months later. Another one? Because there are very many of them out there. I saw another one. This one looked better. This one looked real. This one look like somebody who wasn't you know who just signed it, not trying to trace it or trying to do it by rote. And I said it to him. Says, Uh, Rush says yes, it send it to his brother's brother gotten right back to him. Yeah, that's that's my autograph. And so that's the one I bought like. That's better than any p s a certification that I could never get. The other Rush Limbaugh autograph story I have is when I was at the old station. They hired me, but I don't know why they hired me. They didn't want me there from the very beginning. They did not want me there, and they made that abundantly clear that six months in to the job, I'm called into the station manager's office. I didn't know what was going on. Like, all right. The guy doesn't really talk to me. And so I didn't know what was going on, and he proceeds to ask me. Do I even really want this job? It's like that's kind of weird. It's a Nice way to start a conversation with somebody who just kind of hired, But okay, I said, Yeah, I do. And he went on to lecture me about everything I was doing wrong and how it just any remember, he said to me to give you this book. And he had a copy of See I told you so. Limbaugh's second book. He says. This is signed by Rush Limbaugh himself. Hey, came to town. It was an event and he signed it. He handed it to me personally, and I wanted you to have it. So I know you collect side books, but I also want you to have it as a reminder that you'll never be as good as he is. Like. Thanks, Coach. Put me out like this is great. Let's do you want this job? You suck at it, by the way, and you're never gonna be any good. He gives me this book, and I'm just sitting there going. Why don't you just fire me is what I'm thinking. Like, Why? Why am I here and from that moment on, I didn't particularly enjoy working there, but I wasn't going to give them satisfaction of quitting. And so I leave the office and just illustrate how You see that guy was Go back to my office and I open the book and I think, Well, at least I got a signed copy of the way. See? I told you so. This is pretty awesome. I open it up. And I'm looking for the autograph. There's no autograph in it, and what he thought was an autograph was on every title page of the book. There's the title of the book, There's by Rush Limbaugh. And then there's a Printed on the page. Clearly not written in Sharpie raining or pen at His autograph is on every copy of every book. It's like buying an old baseball card where they have the assimilated, simulated autograph on the card and saying, Well, this is signed by Babe Ruth. Like Really? It's from 2000 and seven. It's gonna fake autograph on there. But that's my memories of that place. Those people and Russian like just so funny. It's so funny. I ended up giving that book to Brett Hollander, who had similar memories of that place. We'll get to more your phone calls coming up in here. I'm gonna give you some good news. We all need good news. Dr. Ed Lazear, Cosmetic and advanced Industry of Baltimore. They've reopened for business, baby. You no longer have to put off getting that million dollar smile you can once again..
