"How is it that you hear these things the young man how is it that you do not welcome everyone is in a heart in thank you for that introduction this odd little longer than I definitely work hi it is because we have a very ship were you to pay on the we normally get I'm making it relevant to us were right we become participants in cultural touchstones for our families and our communities it's not just about out looking at art on the walls but really about what it does for us in the patina of cultural experience that we can apply to others I think I'd say it in light of that overall philosophy of the show I cannot think of a more wonderful guest to be able to have today and one personally I think I think like many of you of my generation you understand probably what I mean the iconic actor Radha miss pariah is our guest today whose performances and you just heard from kung fu in some of the most popular and influential television series and films from the late nineteen sixties to the eighties continue to inspire a new generation of young people as the young quite chain gang income flow from nineteen seventy two to seventy five in his John Edwards junior on little house on the prairie throughout the second and third seasons Mr Perot because this is a remarkable ability to transport young viewers and yes like this post into his characters in influencing them through the rest of their lives Mr prize joining us today to be able to speak about his remarkable career and also introduced a wonderful new reboot of the confluence series which is going to be released in twenty twenty one through the CW network which is a partnership between CBS and Warner brothers finally again we can do ourselves surround ourselves in that fabulous world of Kong brick floor thinking again before action I and I think more than any other time in our history possibly we need that now Rodham as per welcome to speaking of art thank you so much for having me it's an honor to be here I it is an honor for me to be able to speak with you and it's such a great pleasure like so many in our audience Reuters I grew up watching you and I I chose my words carefully because you know like any great actor the idea to be a proxy for the audience you were able to do that it it seemed effortless it was poetic it was the right series at the right time Nixon's trip to China the opening occurred in February of two seventy two just before the series started I can't think of better timing for series but it was the overall one hundred and your parts in that series I love going back and forth I love the retrospectives going back to the monastery where you are and senior development and you placed this post as a twelve year old a thirteen year old in that monastery so seamlessly I want to thank you for that and I mean no my listening way so again welcome to the show and and I'm just so delighted to be able to have you here to talk about your career well thanks you know my voice is a little different than it wasn't click so that was interesting to hear that by the way the real those are some you know two of the classic clips that the defined the the beginning of my character in the show so and you've you've lauded me with so much praise honestly I I didn't write it you know it's the writing that was so fine and that and and the vision of the producers Jerry Thorpe and Alex Beaton who put that show together it is it is the real group effort and I was lucky you know that I got to play that role I had a strange destiny with David carotene as it turns out I didn't realize that at the time my mom and he came to California in nineteen sixty three they were flown out together by Universal Studios to do they were scouted off the New York state where they were working and they brought to LA Empresa LA and and they yeah I guess spend a couple days you know in each other's company doing that and then years later when I was cast in the show she said you know she has to preserve producer so you know you're casting my son who's not totally Chinese so we could you casting is the the lead is David Curtis at all David carotene and they were you do you know David and and she said I I know where he lives and they're like J. okay well greatly so that's my mom's name okay so anyway it but then but then something is the as well that's just one little thing the second thing is that the episode that I just did prior to being cast on the show of night gallery which I'm sorry if I'm stepping on things you're gonna detailing toward forgive no no no no okay love just happens so I love it yeah yeah well silence silence no secrets no was one of the two paintings that rod Serling presented that night for the the the broadcast of of of that episode and the other painting with that sells a secret that was when I was in and the other painting was something called the phantom farmhouse which starred David McCallum who is previously from man from uncle and David carotene playing a mystical Bob flute playing treehouse treehouse dwelling mystic kind of character will I think that that real of that film was probably screened by Warners and the producers of kung fu to see a day who would be a viable contender and when they were finished watching they said and there's another thing on here with severity but never did Orson Welles when we just you we have time Jim let's just watch this next twenty minutes and yeah and then they screen the new screen that up so that my god I think we just found our kid that's that's what I think happened so this interesting kind of mix of destinies and then of course those both playing the same character anyway I've rambled on I'm cutting into you know now just was interviewed me I'm just rambling sorry about that you know you are free to ramble and the fact that we Harlan boll the wonderful you're wonderful publicist I worked with for pretty much since I've been on the air for fourteen years well and he is an absolute absolute gem and I I promised him I wasn't to keep you past the first half hour but you so generously just said that you could stay even longer so I'd be bloody fool if I didn't take that opportunity so I I I will take it from my audience as much time Radha says you care to give I am absolutely delighted that you did this is an art program and I often talk about paintings and all that so I need to ask you and I know that you were you know you're you're young when you're on that night gallery but did you get a chance to maybe keep that painting from that set from silence no secrets no while that would have been interesting to inquire about that I didn't have the where with all at the time even believe that I could even begin to ask for something like that so wow yeah no I don't I'm sure well I'm not sure but I hope it exists somewhere I hope somebody has it on their wall of yeah I know no that's not the rest of the question is very interesting no and by the way I'm into art I love art so I'm willing to wax poetically about as much art as you would like to throw my direction so to see well I just wanna I wanna ask you a question right off the bat with that what type of card particularly attraction what do you collect it hasn't been the kind of work you have always been drawn to a how important is the art tear on your make up today well it's in my DNA for starters my father gave me my father Eugene Farrar is credited as the originator of what we now know as spin art yes and in nineteen fifty eight and fifty nine he was on to to our national TV shows network shows called what's my line and I've got a secret with his painting machine and he was kind of thumbing his nose at the art establishment at the time because Jackson Pollock was you know god at that moment and and and people were accusing Jackson Pollock Pollock just throwing paint at it at a campus which of course is not true he was you know Pollock is a genius and very sophisticated my dad wasn't too shabby himself but he was trying to say that technology his statement was technology now enables everyone to be able to produce modern art because with my painting machine you turn it on you throw painted it and voila you turn it off and you have this fantastic piece of abstract art and he demonstrated that at least two shows so anyway so that's that's just one of the things he did he was actually very fine painter as well and and so it's in my DNA he didn't raise me but oddly when we got to know each other better and as when I was an adult I found that there were a lot of similarities in our creativity in our thought processes which is interesting because you know he wasn't around influence me but yet but yet so at the end of the term DNA comes comes into it really taught me a lot about how much is nature and how much is nurture bye bye just some things conversations we had and some of the he invented something which I also invented separately and we both compared notes so we came up with the same invention yet protecting every technical thing about for early an early version of jumbo tron the wind before they were you know LCD TV's I thought that we both techniques that would that would allow that type of displayed to happen and and and we both had the same time and anyway so that was kind of interesting but it does so that art is a part of my life I'd like I guess broad spectrum I have in front of me in a very very very old Japanese painting of of gosh the name all the sudden why did the character just slipped my mind I'm so sorry but it's it's the what would be the being of our solar system there's a character in in Japanese lore that is the person who is the consciousness of the solar system so he's sitting with his elbow resting on the earth and looking at the other planets circling around and it's done on a piece of wood framed in bamboo the old piece of my mom had her collection and it's really lovely lovely piece and then right next to that I have a very kind of a some some people find it difficult to look at but I think it's beautiful abstract sort of peace that has well I can't go to detail for something you can't see but basically after piece next to that and it speaks to me I've got some other figurative work around so I kind of got some pretty collecting stuff plus I like ethnic of some ethnic guard I like masks selling Japanese no mass I don't have a large collection these things these are basically things that I called from my mom's collection when she finally divested herself of the forty five years of hoarding that she did as a as a quote unquote collector hand and when I helped her out with that a few years ago before she passed away I was able to take a few things that I loved that had actually I had to have grown up with that were around the house when I was a kid and she said yeah you can have that S..

"My website forty three three Prager you thank you on behalf of Prager you giving a lot of calls hanging oneself for example let's go to Katrina M. L. A. hi Katrina so grateful for you thank you very cut it means a lot a listen how do you know so much about thinking actually I'm a psychologist so I was just curious when I found out about well the war again and also check and make Jack girlfriend Lauren what I was that they die by hanging by a belt to a doorknob and so after that I was the traditional way right yeah well you know what I don't believe in tradition well let me let me understand how do you hang your how do you hang your first of all I know I know he didn't have a bill but how how do you hang yourself I don't I don't deny that you're right but I looked up Anthony bird dead during the during the break and they just said he hanged himself there there was no there was no detail how do you actually read more detail what level one I'm trying to because of the because sometimes I deal with suicidality so I you know that the questions that I would yeah do you have a bell do you have a one right but how do you do with the doorknob right what kind of the sort of this discerned is that one of the four of us breaking your neck and the other is a form of psychic slow suffocation so if you if you pull away from the world your construction yeah way and slowly you lose consciousness so it's a form of of X. at it developmental for application so hang hanging should not really showing it's not really hang king it's suffocating well I think it is like the western you know when you see the westerns lined up and everything but but not like that I think you're right I think it's sort of your former trying all just out of curiosity or what do you believe happened with him I actually believe he did it I believe I believe so what is going to a regular jail I'm doing a prison upstate aware of among your that he was going to get you come up but one way or another I think they were going to take him out and I just don't think you go bad but the shame of that happening to him I took the easy way out right well thank you for calling and thank you for listening makes perfect everything makes sense that he was murdered makes sense and that he killed himself makes sense what doesn't make sense is why a prison is so poorly run but I believe given the example of of the walls of the West Virginia prison where the the the order mafioso walls the guy Bolger it was it was murdered this this should not this should not happen this society wants this it's sort of like we oppose capital punishment idle time for it but the society it seems to pose capital punishment but has no concern about the the inmate then being killed by other inmates that's press in in effect on American society said we can kill them but inmates can then that's not good it's just not good all right and let's go another expert on on hanging Todd in Sarasota Florida high yeah I wouldn't exactly say I'm an expert but hi yourself with your shoe lace and then how do you how does that work well you just plug the shoe laces song part Slipknot around your neck and then as your as you slop against it'll cut off the flow of your carotid arteries and you're basically started bringing of oxygen have you heard of it happening what what the hell not good luck David carotene in the closet I don't know I'm just asking that eight one of the top in the closet so we passed cell the shoe lace I don't know what the low no no well that's why I am I'm asking if you'd heard we're any but I'm not that denying it I'm just curious if if you have an example but I'll tell you this obviously that's what the coroner would have to tell us I mean that is it's inconceivable if if they say he hang themself then they will know how he did it right he didn't hang himself and then move his body he hang themselves so they found him in the hanging position for these fix seated position that's the way that's the way it works I think Richard M. at Chino California hello Richard yeah Rachel listen to you for years first time caller all right I wanna hear what you have to say you know your former corrections.

"Don't want to hear anymore about this but there is so much more to say because I am slowly but surely I've taken if I was at a ten yesterday I'm now at a nine on how sure I am that Jeffrey Epstein actually killed himself new information coming out that makes me question Hey it certainly adds fuel to the fire of some of the conspiracy theories but I'm still under the idea that he killed himself and they had no help doing so and it wasn't a hit just because people have motive doesn't mean they'll automatically set what we're gonna take him out not the way it works but there are few things that have come out that you know thank you question you got to wonder for example Jeff we have seen hang himself with a prison bed sheet I thought you said yesterday that it was paper thin that's right that's what that's with the former prisoner said but apparently that's not true are the guy six feet tall he apparently killed himself by kneeling toward the floor and strangle himself with a makeshift noose that he tied on the upper part of the bunk turns out at six hundred thread count he said it's a Gyptian cotton yeah that stuff is made to last so you got to really know you got a picture this in your mind he T. ties on the top bunk of a bunk bed he's six feet on his knees just standing there and so he's got a lean forward and really lean and push forward on his knees to get any reaction at all you got a really want this I think it's actually easier than you think it's like he he put himself in a sleeper hold and then he he died that's that's how that's how it works I see you think it's a sleeper hold like come model the again the giant used to use a world class championship wrestling yes but a real karate sleeper I don't know if I'm buying that or not yeah I I I I think that you have an instinct to survive that kicks in no matter how much you want to go I think it's one of the reasons a lot of people take the quickest way the most violent way and so this kind of thing his only option I have a feeling that given his nature of I can beat anything I don't know I'm not sure I buy I I actually I would be interested in no but I actually think you can do this slowly and not not as painful she she slowly cut off the oxygen to the brain I'm kinda like David carotene dead at the end he was trying to do the auto erotic asphyxiation very much so yeah yeah what a way to be caught we've all been there no I I don't think that we all have been there but some have has it been yeah I don't know if I buy this or not all right so same concept though yeah yeah there's some other things the staffer say they attempted to revive the guy was taken on infirmary inside the lock up that he was transported by ambulance to a hospital is pronounced dead there there are serious serious irregularities at the facility according to William Barr the U. S. Attorney General the other part of this you got to take into account this guy is in the prison there is a guy who's probably targeted by fifty people a hundred people because he has dirt on them I also have a a supporting story to that are we gonna find out something about prince Andrew you know if you're I've heard that name thrown around time with that scene yeah boy that's a bad luck for the royal family well you know prince Andrew's case the freight of the family he's a champ of the of the royal family over there so he's really not that relevant have it's still really bad luck and is still a prince yeah well maybe is first name is prince last name is Andrew I don't know here's another suspicious thing Jeffrey have scenes death was announced on four chan HM that's right it's the H. chance for trans better before officials actually announced it authorities have been looking into that how did the four chan know how did somebody know before it was officially announced your city fire department look into whether an employee posted about Jeffrey at Steve's death on the notorious internet message board prior to it being announced to the public is everyone on four slash eight chan but you and I yeah I've never even heard of it I don't even know what it is it's the seedy underbelly I guess so I'm I don't think it's a hardware some part of the dark web it's not part of the light web about forty minutes before ABC news first reported up Steve's death on Twitter somebody posted still unverified details on four chan saying don't ask me how I know but if he died an hour ago from hanging cardiac arrest screen cap this because it'll be gone soon that message posted thirty eight minutes before the very first information about it came out after publishing the post other four chan users egged on the author when they express doubt the original poster added more information to the discussion board including a detailed breakdown of the procedures used to resuscitate abstain which suggests the poster might have been a first responder a medical worker or otherwise privy details about those efforts to save the guy if it's up there how did they now I'm on four chan are you really I hope is that allowed in our company maybe it's not a it's a band board save banded it's dumb looking in it well it looks like a lot of reading I can do is just a page full of words this is the same exhaustion I get when I open a book you do tend to wear out very quickly I hand you a book an automatic you almost sound asleep there I I hear the snoring sound yeah you got to work on that I don't know how you got through coming at this book effective people go to this this it looks this is not fun I'm on the current news thread one says what's next or whether another white supremacy terrorist okay whatever that mean aren't there you go less helpful I I I don't is very hell I don't who posted that but what an original thought that is I'm I'm sure nobody said nobody said that yeah yes this is four chan okay and you add on top of this is another story Jeffrey have seen told me he had dirt on very powerful people New York times reporter the overriding impression I took away from our ninety minute conversation was that Mr if they noticed honestly number of rich famous and powerful elite and had photos to prove it he also claimed to know a great well you know I don't know if photos really mean that much I have photos of wheat me with quite a few celebrity types over the years that I've met but I don't know them I just Hey let's take a picture before you leave they also claim to know a good deal about these people some of the potentially damaging or embarrassing including details about their supposed sexual proclivities and recreational drug use so one of my first thoughts on hearing mistrusting suicide was that many prominent men and at least a few women must be breeding sighs of relief their whatever he knew has gone to the grave with him so we now have we have people saying that yes in fact he did say he knew a lot about a lot of people you know what the sad thing about that is there with the reality of it is let's say the guy still alive he can say anything he wants about anybody it I mean anybody and people will believe it now because it's likely it's probable nobody could take into account the fact that this guy might just be a wanna be and what he's saying isn't true so if you're in the once again we have another case of if you're accused you're guilty if if somebody's name comes up in connection with this guy or he mentioned journey you're guilty doesn't matter your pet a file that is a dangerous place to be in the world that is not what we want in this country and no I'm not worried that my name isn't as black book never met the guy as far as you know I hope so yeah but that said that I mean think about this did you think about the power that that guy would have held which is another reason why I have to question what one would you off yourself I mean you probably eventually felt I mean we had when the mir was held up to his face I don't think he did I think that's I am pretty sure that I don't think he felt bad at all I think he felt bad he got caught I think he probably thought he was gonna get out of it I think he thought he would work his magic go back to his magic island and everything will be just fine because this is no big deal whatever the case but think about the power that guy held all he has to do is mention your name and it's over yeah it's like the ending of untouchables when Kevin Costner takes the judge aside and told him his name was in al Capone's ledger when it really wasn't but that's how I got them to switch the juries so I got a fair trial that way sent out upon one well no that was just pure documentarian out actually all right coming up if you don't have a driver's license or have a reason to go to the DMV god help you talk about that coming up next bill Jackson's checking on traffic.
