"I'll take care of the boys tonight. I gave the boys every option of everything they wanted to do. And they said, we want to go to Dave and buster's dad. We want to play video games at David buster. Went to Dave and buster's. And we'd spend $200 playing games. Been there for like three hours. And I don't know if you know about how David buster works, but at the end of it, you know, you get all I'm familiar. You earn all these tickets, and then you get to cash your tickets in for prizes. The value of these things are outrageous, by the way. Like, you think more than enough and you're like, that's what I'm getting for this. Dude, okay, I like legit spent $200 on games and the best thing we were getting is like a little rubber football. All right, that's where we're going. Come on, that's the one of the biggest scams going. It's a massive scale. So my little guy Lou is starting to have a breakdown. Because and here's the other thing. They put like an Xbox in this store, right? And so the kids looking around and he's like, he literally buy the Dave and buster's in order to get the Xbox. I think that's how that works. I mean, I said Lou, you have to spend a $150,000 here to have enough tickets to get that Xbox. And he's starting to break down. He starting to have a problem. And at this point, this young man, who I don't know, he looks over at me. He sees what's going on. My 9 year old is happy and satisfied. My 6 year old is unsatisfied with the entire situation. He had his eyes set on that. Brand new Xbox. This guy looks at me, looks me right in the eyes. You know what he says? There's more of us. That's an excuse me, because I didn't really hear it. He's a GP, there's more of us. Than there are of them. Hell yeah. I said, all right. And then he handed me his card with all his tickets on it. And he said, we're not gonna spend these. Wow, what a let you little guy get an extra prize. So shouts to Cody from Kentucky. I didn't expect to hear him. There's more of us than there are of them at the Dave and buster's in Times Square on a Friday night. But that is what happened. Fun moment. Thank you guys for listening. "Cheese theme secret. I will reveal it to you when we finish recording, but I've already told the listeners. And maybe I'll re listen to this and rewatch it on YouTube and see the secrets. And did you know that there is a Chuck E. Cheese north of the one 70 here in Los Angeles on Laurel canyon near the 5? Yes, yes. There's actually a fair amount of Chuck E. Cheese is still open here. Some of them look one closest to me in K town, has closed, but I believe the Burbank one is open. The ego rock mall is definitely open. This is on brand. It seems to be right near a coals. Of course, yes. Yes. Is that the building? It's on Laurel canyon, so it might be okay. It closes at 9 p.m. this evening. It's in sun belly. Okay. I'm glad that there's so many. I went to one in New York City a couple months ago. Filter. Oh, disgusting. That is part of the problem. And neon lighting. Sometimes. The lighting is harsh. Harsh, because if it were darker, the animatronics would look more real. And there is also a lot of black light action, which does not service knowing what is going on on the floors of the restaurant. Is what I'll say. So it seems like again, and then there's also that very popular video game Five Nights at Freddy's comes out about haunted animatronics. And so there is this research interest Aaron factor once again is getting his hopes up. He's like, oh, maybe this is it. Maybe the rocket fire explosion is gonna be popular again. Unfortunately, in 2013, his factory explodes. And along with, it explodes. Due to and it's unclear because air infector, you know, it's harder to get. He says that the factory exploded because of rust worms, which I don't know if I don't know enough about that to know if that's a feasible excuse to why a factory would explode. But it did explode. Okay. And he loses most of his robot inventory. It's way down. And so when he rebuilds it's at least it's not the haunted Chernobyl factory anymore, but it's still a smaller version of mounted factory. Yeah. Trouble. Meanwhile, at Chuck E. Cheese, in the mid 2010s, they start to try to modernize. They're not doing as well. They're closing down some locations. They phase out tokens. In favor of kind of a more David busters card system. Sure. And they have and it's around this time that I think is 2016 that I truly entered this world as a journalist, where I was doing some I was going to the Chuck E. cheeses in the greater Los Angeles area. And I met this amazing.

"Forecast yesterday, citing a severe and unexpected slowdown. The hard sell to our marketing. How many hard salts as their art in my main was doing, I think is 100 million fewer cases than the volumes estimated and may have something like 65 brands saying, Oh, you mean there are only 10 brands on shelves back in 2018. Now there are more than 65 of them out there, And this is the glut. Tim This is the big blood. I don't know. If you have this. This is value Add. Don't laugh. This is serious Him. He found that he did. You know Tim, there would reverberations? No. Because you had companies like Ball Corp. Which makes the cans actually down today by about 2%. Because of concerns here that there's this big glut Silicon Crown Crown Holdings was down 3% today. I should have picked some of those. Yes, I should have picked those instead of Gamestop. But to be fair, Gamestop was lower most of the day. In fact, it was down more than 10% earlier in the day. We covered the earnings yesterday, but, hey, we talked a little bit about getting some clarity on that turnaround plan. Investors didn't get that on the earnings call, which went under 10 minutes. They didn't even hear from Ron Coleman. No questions, but shares recovered to finish in the green, hired by close to 2/10 of 1% can't keep a good meme stopped down. Gamestop, Meanwhile, that's also up is basically most of the FX markets versus the US dollar actually dollar index up by about 2/10 of a percent this on a day where yields go lower that bond auction. I know Taylor's going to talk about it, but we see the British panel by 5 10%. We see the Swiss franc also powering high success, said the euro was even higher that as we see the we start to push back against stimulus start to talk about reducing their bond purchases, But don't call it tapering madam. My God doesn't want you to call it tapering. Meanwhile, we're looking at also on the downside. Dollar goes lower, but actually so, too does oil off by more than 2%. Now, remember, this is China big step coming from China trying to reduce the prices they're trying to add to its all. Really exercising some of its oil reserves. Pumping into the system supply goes higher W. Kruger's lower $67 is where we trade Brent crude off by 1.8% $71 is where we trade. We already had settlements, steel on the higher side condominium and we wish we have to show that up to a 13 year high. Tell that to Ball Corp at the moment. Meanwhile, also Nat Gas on Uh, that not on the board. It's on the board. We need to sometimes click it and you need to click to show the higher ones. Unfortunately, But go go to G M m and go and play with it Palomino up to 13 year high. I mean, we'll see if Green when you look at sovereign bonds, money poured into European bonds on the back of the E. C. B, moving back from their bond purchases. But not as much as many had thought. The good news is we did Alan Mini, Um, on the European close today, Caroline. So we got you Can you can say aluminum. Let's take a look at bond yields remain quickly before we migrate back to the earnings movement. Down 4 to 7 basis points across the board below 1 30 below a 1 90 on tens and thirties. Alright, affirm earnings out here. The chairs are really all over the happier they were down, then they're up relatively flat here. Looks like they did beat revenue coming in at about 261.8 million the street was looking for about 226.7. That's the average loss per share coming in at about 48 cents. Share here. Gross merchandise volume a key number that a lot of people look at $2.5 Billion. That's up about 8.7% quarter over quarter. Over all these numbers, at least on the first glance here appear to have beaten the street estimates here. We'll keep an eye here on any guidance and forecast. Not really seeing it here again. These are your fiscal fourth quarter numbers were a firm. Cheers up about 3%. I'm also keeping an eye on David Busters reporting earnings after the bell those just coming across the second quarter earnings beating estimates MPs coming in higher than expected share, surging more than 6.5% in after hours trading. David Busters net revenue coming in at 52 or $777.6 Million, Yes, really interesting. You guys, I think all this we recap here we do the horse race of the individual earnings, But it really was the day of Some of the economics Carolina think you did it very well with the baby this morning. What That means is you think about maybe divergence of between the global central banks and hints of maybe slowing down that pet program. But steady. She goes under the been managing to walk away from still means a little bit, but not Fronting the market to suit it too much of a degree that what Lagarde said. Lagarde said she's not for tapering, said the lady, Lady lady, not to Margaret Thatcher, she says. I think she is here, taking a leaf out of Margaret Thatcher's book. She will not be returning. Meanwhile, though, well for Thatcher Eventually she was basically a decade in power. But but we will say they look at what's happening in China. If you look across the board, this is a global story of whether production prices through the roof. This is an inflation story. But we're not seeing that the monetary policy is having to change too much on the back of it. Yes, it's a great question. This global question of monetary policy. But back here in the U. S. There's still that question about tapering when it happens, in which asset prices will be most effective. You still see the market shaky without real clarity here and certainly what those prices continuing to move higher for producers. The question is, to what extent does it get passed on to us as consumers, especially as we get to the holiday season, and shipping costs don't seem to be going down whatsoever at all. That's going to do it for our cross platform coverage of beyond the bell. Join us tomorrow. Same time, same place on Bloomberg TV, Bloomberg Radio and on YouTube have great Thursday. "Seattle. Right now it's 46 Come on news time. 607 Last year's NFL season played in empty stadiums taught one Seattle Seahawk, a few things about gratitude and about being a professional. We learned more from his story, and here's Cuomo's Corwin Hate. The National Football League has already announced this fall of plans to again play with fans in the stands. Seahawks receiver Tyler Lockett tells me he never griped about last year's unusual conditions. Sometimes we don't really realize how good God it until we don't have it anymore. And we almost didn't even have a football season. He says. The empty stadiums helped define the differences in how certain players get motivated. You had none of that stuff that was gonna get your adrenaline pumping or anything like that. Could you still be able to perform at the highest level? And I think that's what everybody got to see is without any fans. Players still are performing at the highest level. Some people perform even better without fans, reflecting on the pandemic has led locket to join a program sponsored by micro band Most Valuable Protectors, workers who kept essential businesses covert safe lock. It is honoring a Seattle area Safeway employees Wayne Fisher or being able to protect us in every customer that comes in Because cleaning and sanitizing is important, and sometimes we forget about that until we're putting a pandemic where everybody has to quarantine. Tyler congratulated Wayne via Zoom and is treating him to a Seahawks game this fall at a presumably packed Blumenfield. Corwin Hate Co Moh news and more covert vaccination sites are offering incentives as a way to encourage people to get the shots from gift cards to discounts on food more from Kemal's Steve McCarron's. It wasn't the free gift card that drew Bob Geren to this vaccination set in Auburn, but he could definitely understand how 10 bucks to David Busters could sweeten the deal. Americans respond to incentives. Morning. More sites are offering them is vaccination rates start to slow. It's getting in the way of not having had the vaccine sweet alchemy, one of two businesses giving a discount to those who roll up their sleeves and a mobile clinic in Seattle's You district vaccination. I feel like a stone the answers to try to get us back to normal. Um, I'm all for it. Let's see. It says Expect the trend to continue. The idea is I didn't twofold. One is It might be that motivation for someone to get back. So he did, coupled with It's good business, but some are not too enthusiastic about the practice. Leo Morales tells me incentives may not be effective in changing people's minds. If they're set against getting vaccinated. Another is they may backfire. So, um, you know, he if you offer incentives to get vaccinated people who are hesitant, maybe suspicious like, why are they paying me to do something? That's good for me anyway, Morales says communication and messaging or key and reaching more people. The Asia Pacific Cultural Center into coma started offering $25 gift cards to Fred Meyer is a way to get more people to its clinics. Center's executive director tells me it is too soon to know if they'll actually work. We have a little money to do it, and so we way started to do it. So why not if it works, and maybe other organizations going through the same thing? Come on here to members of Rose City and TIFA, who admit engaging in damaging and destruction in Portland over the year last year, sat down with a B C's Nightline this week to defend their tactics get more live from Kemal's Carleen Johnson. Well, their faces are not shown, and they don't give their names nor admit to recent threats against Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, but they defend the year of violence and destruction downtown. One of the reasons that people will break windows is a lot of times like symbolic of the way that the city will protect. He went on to say the way they will protect wealthy business owners but not protect people. Now, of course, they get much of the blame for the last year of chaos, property damage violence. For these anti racism, anti fastest fascist, far less organizer's in the business owners downtown who suffered all this are increasingly fed up. So his mayor Wheeler, who recently asked residents to take back their city. Be the eyes and ears of the Portland police. Tom Butler Come on, come on His time now is 6 12. Seattle City Council members and homeless outreach providers are now questioning the mayor's strategy on clearing out homeless camps. Five camps in city parks have been cleared since December. Then we get more from Kemal's met mark of its city crews clear what was left of a homeless camp that had existed for more than a year at Albert Davis Park, the city, citing safety concerns. Shooting a recent propane tank explosion and fire, But it wasn't the city's hope team that made that decision. The hope team replaced the navigation team that used to order cleanups. It was the parks Department. Over the last four months, five camps in city parks have been cleared. The city Council members and homeless outreach providers say they want to know who's making that decision. What's the criteria? We want to know? How are those sites being prioritized? What is their model for selecting them? What and what are the criteria that they're using? In a virtual council meeting where no one turned their cameras on During the discussion? Those questions were asked of the mayor's point person. On homelessness. She said she didn't know but the actual discernment process I can't. I truly don't know It isn't that I can't answer it is that I truly do not know, she said. Individual departments like the Parks Department are making up their own criteria. We also ask the mayor's office. What is the criteria for these recent camp removals? In our city department. Deciding which camps to remove. The mayor's office has yet to get back to US. And council members were upset that the Seattle Public Utilities Department was given $100,000.6 months ago to install some form of ST Sync for people to wash their hands. But still there's nothing to show for it. The speed at which we need to get these sinks stood up cannot be under scored. Brother. The city has kept water faucets turned off because they can't meet the CDC guidelines to keep the faucets sanitized during a pandemic. Now there's a shit. Gillis outbreak among the homeless camps and washing, say County health advisors. Could help prevent some of that in Seattle. Met market which Cuomo news come all these times, 6 14. We checked.

"Yeah, I I question the motives underneath the the gaps that it is underneath. So, you know, it's a nice environment for an animal cuz after a long day of swimming in a circle, it could observe people drinking orange julius, right? Who does birth? See what's happening at the David Busters later in the day. It's a very stimulating and when you think about it, yeah, there's a tunnel you can go through at the at the Mall of America and then and then the fish and the and the Animals they're they have sharks they come and then they they go over the hump and I'm coming right at you. So it's I mean, it's pretty cool, but it can't be a good life. But I do wonder about like the Monterey one where I know that I know that the part of their thing is to stop the extinction of these animals. So, yeah, it's it's it's something that I've pondered this entire ethical quandary. I've pondered it my entire life as an animal lover girl like and as someone that wants to see animals do I go to a zoo to see it? Like is it an ethical do is it ethical is any Zoo. Ethical like because these animals are existing for 2 a.m. Entertainment, so ultimately that's not ethical but also like it's part of conservation to have to trap an animal and show it to children. I don't know why. Well, it's sort of pays for itself. Yeah, you know, but the the the the heart behind it is to make sure that that there's still another kind of that animal, you know for like an elephant in a zoo. Hopefully, there's like thirty in the wild. I don't know. Right right and I will say that That I did go to the Wildlife Park in San Diego once and that was amazing. Now. It felt like it was big enough. And there were fences in between like where the lions are being kept and where the zebras are being kept which felt rude cuz they were next to each other. That's horrible except for the fact that cuz they feed them they don't have to hunt the zebra's yeah, it's still like if you put me in a cage next to a cage full of all of my ex-boyfriend's emotionally speaking and they're all just telling me why they don't love me. So I have seen orcas in the wild and this was one of the coolest things I've ever met. We went on a boat. It was like there were two they were there were two sections on the boat. You can go upstairs and downstairs. Okay. Well, I'm guessing sixty feet long and It was on the coast between Washington and Vancouver, BC. Okay, and on this trip, by the way, right behind me right behind my curly hair is a painting. I did of humpback. Whales. Oh, very nice..

Could he bring Alexa? Into the White House. Well s election not allowed. No, but Yeah, I wouldn't think I am plug mine because you made me fearful of it. I was. Well, that's the Alexa. Do you unplug your paella time? No. Where do you leave that plugged in? I leave it plugged and I didn't even know it was a security threat. Shit. But now they do, say 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I want to go to your new place in Black Hawk and get some secrets. And you tell me about that Bella time. I guess I had to be a way around that, and it's not even safe, right? Yeah, it says this is what it says. It says an alternative would be to set up a special gym area with its own network just for the pellet on separate from the White House. It's not the first time the Secret Service has had to adjust such concerns. Former first lady Michelle Obama report He has a modified pellet on without a camera or a microphone. And there is in the basement because so when gold not the place that I read it this weekend via turnkey did have a fella time. So how about it for the Chiefs the first game on Sunday. Not good for my back, though. Yeah, sure. That is not good, especially when they want you to get up off the saddle. Yeah. Barney stayed out of his saddle That hurts. I can't do that. That's a good point. But it is That's what I do like you said, And you I know you do this on the on the treadmill, but You just put something up, Thereto watch And you're you forget you're doing it. After a while. I fooled myself into thinking then all of sudden, you've been on it for an hour now. Okay, Good. Now I'm done. So, Yeah, But then my my home's guy could cost. I got a little woozy. Get off this. What's going on? What happened to my homies? Maybe the bills will with the Super Bowl. A couple from South Carolina. Allegedly. I wouldn't have sex in a place like this but allegedly had sex on a Ferris wheel. And were arrested after police found a recording. Honey site Erick and Lorie Harmon. Both 36 went for a spin while riding a glass gondola of 187 ft in the air. In Myrtle Beach. Uh, that being so who was on top, but who was on the bottom? That Ferris wheel? I'd rather be on the bottom. First of all, that's gonna be a drop. Now you say I would not have sex in a place like this. I like to tell you not so subtly suggested they then they grab. Why would you say something like that's true? What do you have A. You have a fear of heights or 187 ft in the air. If if you're on top. I don't know You're you're not built it in. I can tell you that. Go to New Heights. 187 ft. Here's the other thing, though. This one's to me now, this is really where I wouldn't Another clip allegedly showed the couple having sex in a community pool. A community pool. Yeah, that's disgusting is very kind of thing. I'd rather have a really run a Ferris wheel in the community pool. So the question is how many other riders Uh were and I'm not saying the same. That same twosome. How many other writers were on the Ferris wheel? Yes. Uh, it doesn't look at the picture here. They actually have mug shots and they got they got arrested out of this. They were charged with indecent exposure. And participation in preparation of obscene material. Malicious injury to personal property. I don't know where that came from. Maybe that was because of the fair. I don't know, but it's so this is in Florida. It's serious South Carolina. Oh, the Gamecocks got you. $18,000 bond cheese. Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach. You know this area? Well, okay, jeez. Whether I mean whether I assume there are other riders on the Ferris wheel. Yeah, would be your reaction. If you saw isn't safe. My racket just would be like so. You know what depend My reaction would depend on how attractive the couple was whether I watched another whether I went away attractive couple. She's got the nose ring going. Yeah. Yeah, that must have been planned before there wasn't like a spontaneous thing. All of a sudden you get to the top of the Ferris wheel. Well, The other thing too is you know they were drinking, so they couldn't have been that safe, especially for the one who wasn't belted in. Well, they're probably neither rebuilt and this is some of the Ferris wheel. When you get you could make the each individual car kind of flip over, right. I hate that. Well, that would be really how interesting with happy No, that is not for me. I'm a lot like that. That way Gravity would be tested there. Yeah, you were on top. Flip it over. Well, then you're in one of those in closed ones Right now. That would be different if you were in one of those in the closed ones. Then you'd be OK. "It's just not connected to those things. And I wanted to be I've learned that and I think the best way of describing his. I'm seeking for a way to describe you here this afternoon as I was. I was meeting with my pastor a few years ago and And I was talking about some of the silly things that I worry about, and he kind of chuckled at me as he should have in my maturity in life. And he said, You know, winter some of the things that you're aspiring to just don't matter, And he wasn't suggesting that they don't have significance. And there's something wrong with people being accomplished. He wasn't suggesting that But he did tell me, he said, Look out my window and I looked out his window. I don't lean a little bit. I'm looking out his window and I see a dumpster. But it's a dumpster for donations. But this this Dumpster was sitting there and he said, See, that's where everybody stuff goes. In the end. So it goes in there. To see how that stuff isn't really important. You know, I thought of Mom and Dad and I thought of the transformation that they went to into focusing What's the most important but see once we know what's important. That's just one part of it. You know the when, when the person was telling what she was telling me freedom and untethered that didn't mean that she knew how to live it out. It means that she was feeling how she wanted to feel. And so once we set our sights on freedom and independent in time freedom and we're focused on what's most important to us. The next step is we have to know how to do it. We have to know how to implement It doesn't just take a good idea. It takes a profound implementation. Put those two things together and you have a life fulfilled, so I want to pivot. I want to pivot to how do we implement No, we haven't met. And I'm gonna I'm gonna tell this story. We're gonna get to the other side of the break. I know I'm running out of time in this segment, but we're gonna continue this, but I want you to think about during the break. Dave and Buster's David Buster, So I took my kids to Dave and Buster's several years ago, and if you're not familiar, it's this big arcade man for kids and adults. That's my best way of describing it. We go to Dave and Buster's, They have hundreds of games. Hundreds of games. Little overwhelming. My kids start playing games. And guess what tickets come out of the games. Just little take it to come out. I've no idea what therefore, we had no idea. They come out and Camden was playing a game like the price is right wheel and he spends this thing around and it lands on 1000 tickets. And if you've never been to David Busters Or or someplace like that. I can tell you $1000 is a lot. It's so much the sirens go off employees for David Busters. Come over there jumping up and down. Everybody celebrating. It takes a good 3 to 5 minutes for 1000 tickets to even come out of the machine. It's nuts. He had this popcorn holder like a popcorn box holder that full is overflowing. And guess what? Guess what Candid did after he won 1000 tickets. He did not leave that game. Right, and that's what we do. That's what we do is that if we find a way to accumulate tickets, and it's comfortable, and it feels good, even though there are hundreds of games available, you stick with that game, and my oldest son, Braxton did the same thing. He found three or four games where he was getting the most tickets. Right, and he started accumulating those tickets. He started accumulating those tickets. Just like anybody that started their first job starts accumulating their nest egg. They get those tickets. They get a match, maybe from the employer. They start saving into the T Spn before one. Can they start building those tickets? Maybe you're not situation and you're done building the tickets, and you want to know what it means. You want to know how you're going to confer what you've accumulated into retirement. Give my team a call. 3018500 63. We're gonna build your retirement income plan 3018500 63, But on the other side the break we're going to talk about How David Buster's in the experience, I just started describing fits with what you're going through right.
