"It just got busier during the whole morning. You know, why people said if there's a chance want he's gonna get hit in the head. I'm gonna see I don't want to miss that. Oh, look and there's a table top Christmas decoration. My cousin was all over that streamed. It on Facebook live every day. I know I know she's giving me. What's her name? Cousin Dee because indeed we've met several times she's looking at me several times like little like Irina, shoot an arrow. Yes. I am. Yes. And just so everybody knows what happened. What I promised was that we were going to shoot an apple off of the head of Dave, Sean. And it turns out that the lawyers and the insurance people do they took a dim view. They did not think this is nearly as exciting as funny as I did. Nothing could have gone wrong could have gone wrong could possibly happen. What could possibly happen? I think we answered that question on my on my first era that I shot great big at jar at a giant poster. We had a big giant poster of shawny, and we put the apple on top of that. And I think my second shot went right into the cheekbone. Yep. Yep. Underneath the left nostril. Yeah. So. Possible that maybe something Conrad. Who could say well got close very close to my arrow, number three graze the arrow. Apple greatest grease. The I knocked it did. In fact, knock it off the top of the poster which was the top of my head. Right. Right. And if I had had a chance to practice a little, you know, a couple of minutes, we'd really didn't have time for that. I'm positive I could've gotten the arrow right through middle. The owls accurate is the gentlemen were the man. Those guys were unbelievable. Actual actual archers championship house like the number two guy in the state of Illinois was there and those guys were shooting arrows into the arrows that they show. Yeah. Linda their goals? I and then split the error in the ball was already there, which was really cool. But just we just had a million laughs the whole four hours. I was laughing much easier though after eleven thirty. And that's the other part of this. I never told Schwanke what we I had no idea. What was going on ever said? Don't worry. I've got a giant poster of you nothing to worry about the whole morning. You're sitting there so quietly. I had a job to do. I know John do but he's not saying, okay. So what's your plan with this? Nothing. I don't think he wanted to know to be honest. I walked in. You had the smile on your face tossing an apple very nonchalantly walking around the rooms. Setup was incredible. To was rearranging. The chairs just make sure that of spectators. We get hurt. I didn't want. Anyone get hurt? Right. Never mind me dog. All's well that ends well. We had we had a lot of fun Elton. Jim Turano is out there. He's always a million laughs our annual singing of twelve days of Christmas was as horrible as it is ever here. Somehow, you think it can't get any worse. But yet somehow it does get worse every year. Now, we either started that editor at the tree time a year or two ago or at the paramount theatre he started here at the paramount. Yeah. That's when I was the first year that we had to fourth year. Maybe we've done this now. And as I say each year worse and worse and worse. So we continue to set new records. We did lowered the bar not raise the bar, the Canterbury carolers who were out there with us were hilarious singing with us and sang so beautifully throughout the whole show. So thank you. Thank you to everybody who came out. We had the cast of Holiday Inn from the Marriott Lincolnshire. They performed live. They were great just everybody. And thank you to tree time to Laurean Joe came from tree time the owners out there. They could not be nicer they practically rearranged their entire. Store to make room for the crowd that comes out for this. So it's very very nice of them. Very very nice of all of you who came out to to watch the show slash C. Shawny get hit with a. I did happen to notice that the crowd reached its apex. At at a time. No, no. And then it just kind of filtered out. Well, that's because the pizza also arrived. That's true. That's true. Shot the arrow at you at your picture your life size picture Louisville. Noughties showed up with pizza for some people were like screw this show. I'm going. I was sitting here and watching this stupid stuff. Well, I could be eating some announcer. You know, what else is great though, seriously is that you know, the area where we have done the broadcast the audience is free to roam around and look at any for righty right of Christmas items trees decorations and still here the show and watch the show. It's a wonderful morning. We had a ball. So again, thank you very much. They were. So that's that was the start of my week. Last Sunday yesterday, I interviewed Martha Stewart she was at Soldier Field at the United club there. They have this big wine and food expo that she puts on it's going to be an annual event for Martha Stewart, but she was there, and she did a big cooking demo and I sat down and had a one on one interview with her. I'm going to play that back here on the radio this coming Wednesday. I'm going to be filling in for Rokon and really play back that interview Wednesday the day before thanksgiving. So you can listen for that. And we'll have it on TV tomorrow. So here, I, you know, here's you know, that would be two things in a person's week that would be more than fulfilling shooting an arrow at your old, buddy. And interviewing Martha Stewart that's a good week. But no on Wednesday night on the WGN TV primetime special that we had my job was to ride around in an actual. Army tank and crush stuff. We had we we we crushed cars. We crushed furniture. We crushed major appliances washer dryer refrigerator freezer couch, the tank just goes over it like, it's nothing. Collapses. And it's hilarious to watch. It. We had the largest pumpkin grown in the state of Illinois. I think it was like a thousand pound pumpkin that was out there that we drove over with the tank the army tank. Smashed to smithereens. You smashed the great, pumpkin. We were smashing pumpkins. If you will. Smashing pumpkins. But the highlight the piece the resistance of the whole thing we had two of our WGN news vans. That were no longer in service. They were going to the junk yard, anyway, frankly, they were pretty beaten up, and we put those side by, sir. We crushed to to WGN news trucks. Crushed with the tank. So the silly this aside of. Crushing stuff with a tank. Can I tell you that that was the most fun thing I've ever done in my life. That's awesome. Oh my gosh. That was so much fun rolling over that. And barely feeling it in a tank like that I imagined. We felt it when we went over the vehicles. We felt it pretty good. Well that would. Yeah. But when we refrigerator when we crush, hop Kano, piano, refrigerator, freezer appliances, certain me, it's like it was like nothing. It was like nothing at all. Draw that assignment, by the way. I I don't know how they picked me to do that. But I'm glad they did. Yeah. That's cool, man. That was fun. It was cold. We were out at the dupage county fairgrounds. And who who were super nice, and you know, so hospitable. Letting us do all this crazy stuff on the on the dupage county fairgrounds in Wheaton. It was cold out there for sure, but I'll tell you what I have never felt more like a man in my life. Like, I said that picture of you standing on their arms just way in the air. Like, I felt like general Patton. I just keep picturing Bill Murray and strikes. Exactly, it's it's I can't even tell you. What a feeling that is you're in this tank. I was actually driving the tank. There was a driver. There's one area where the driver sits in one area where the tank commander, I guess, you might say sits on top of it, all and. It was it was so much fun. And you know, what anybody can do it. There's a company that's called drive a tank dot com. And you can rent the tank for parties for whatever occasion. And you can you can do exactly the same thing. We're going to be seeing more and more tanks going up and down expressways. Now, I've already I've already traded in my. Traded in my car. I drive I go look now. Drive a tank. Yeah. If you go look in the parking lot downstairs right now. You'll see there's a Camry. There's a free and my tank do not run over them. I can park any where I want to. Now just kept picturing a new victory. Auto records commercial. Battletank may maybe worth money victory. Auto wreckers provided the carpet by they.

"Just like i did last spring i don't see a big difference i have seen a few more home runs in the normally see from him just sort of anecdotally i didn't write it down but i i have seen a little a few more longer shots than normal joe likes it but your co i don't see a big change i don't mean games it's been nothing special so far let's the all plays out very early but you know you've got its lower those expectations i'm gonna talk to start out starting sunday and see if there's there too i don't see a big change in the swing but i'm not an expert so let me talk to some guys and find out okay i'm one more uh injury pedro stroke little calf injury we have not seen him pitch yet they were going to hold them back anyway because of his workload uh do days away from pitching in brandon moral a few days away from getting is is he got hurt they're just holding it back and he's going to pitch in five games all that's it for brandon moral um berman all seven to the world series so moral only two we haven't seen yet all the others basically three yesterday grim wilson all those guys we'll still looked really good onetwothree inning out of him so those are my notes thank you you got it here by kid as just yourrage hours at espn shy cubs so it was selling your earlier dave sean felt for me been conroy to list the player from each mlb team doesn't get talked about enough for the cubs he mentioned jose can tana in here's this prediction the best starting pitcher on the cubs in eighteen will be can tana not yu darvish or john lester oncall had vets are already along with my prediction desert the right of listening to the show you must have been go ahead what's fair would because you know since 2012 was awaken tana is twelfth in mlb and war for pitchers twenty two point eight you're more the names like now again this is it sometimes just in terms of games up because war you accumulate right and now but it's a testament to a guy being able to stay healthy in pitcher he's got more than strasbourg more than an darvish more than lester more.
