Seattle Mariners open the 2021 season

"At T Mobile Park fans will be back into the stands and our Mariners insider Shannon Dreyer is here. Theo, tell us what we could expect the season first, You must be pretty excited to see the fans back. Oh, yeah, It's absolutely thrilled to get to see people come into the ballpark, and I really didn't know until they weren't there. Just the impact that they have and the energy that they bring to a stadium and then just, you know the idea that this is really the first kind of mass live event in Seattle. Since the end of March last year. Ah, a lot of excitement surrounding all of this. This should be the year where all the agony of the previous years is finally behind us, and the team can start to sing. Yeah, you hope so, you know, Unfortunately, under the original plan, that's absolutely would have been that year. But last year season, which was to be a developmental season, the opportunity Get the young players. We all full season in the big leagues and get their legs under them turned out to be just two months. So you know, I I don't know how much they can accelerate through this year and by the end point to be where they hope to be. It's you've got to be realistic and realized how much was lost last year. But being down in spring training for three weeks, they think the imagination does start to wander a little bit because we saw some great performances from not only the young stars they're going to start the season with the big league squad, but the ones that are kind of come come up during the year. So, Yeah, I think that at the very least, I think this team should finish very strongly. And I think people should have a good feeling about it. When will the West Seattle Bridge be fixed, and how much will it cost?

"Has been nearly a year since the West Seattle Bridge closed down because of the cracking concrete, and now we're getting some prediction on when it might be open again. Here's Chris Sullivan, and that prediction is the end of June 2022 that is the target goal for returning traffic to the West Seattle Bridge, But that's about a space Civic is the city can be. I would like to be very, very specific about the time and date when you will be able to drive across the bridge. I cannot give that to you today that Seattle's mobility director, Heather Marks, who also also cautions West Seattle residents that include herself that even when the repairs are complete, that doesn't necessarily mean the traffic is going to immediately return. This is not a repair where we're just going to drop tools when we're done and open up the bridge, too. Traffic. We want to make sure that this is safe and we want to be able to measure and see how the bridge and the repairs respond to additional live load. Drivers should expect that the lanes to will open little by little over the days and weeks after repairs are complete, primarily just for safety and to prevent backups. We also need to think about how to create the conditions under which when we open up that first lane Everybody doesn't you know, heard to the bridge and we have backups from follow. Right, Fareed I five. So we need to think about that to the city has reached the 30% design Fresh Holden milestone on this project, and the request for bids went public yesterday. It's gonna be an interesting partnership. The way that they're doing. This is that they're bringing the contractor on board at this point. That will allow the contractor the winning contractor to work with the city on final design, from 30% completion to the end that allows them to see any potential problems and design as they're doing it that also helps speed up the process. It's expected that the repairs we will begin in November, repairs to the lower Spokane Street Bridge or also included in this contract that needs a little shoring up works and cracked filling, and it also might need some repair to the center locking mechanism. Mark says. It is possible that there will be times when both the high and the low bridge will be closed the same time, But she expects those to be brief. To the extent that we have to close the low bridge. We're gonna aim for weekends or holiday weekends to make sure that we're disrupt. Thing as few people as possible. Now, Speaking of that low bridge discussions are ongoing about how to allow more access to that lower bridge on call. Medical workers have been added to the list of people who can use that bridge while racing to the hospital. But they end up getting it a photo enforcement ticket and then have to prove they were an emergency call to get that wiped away. Not really the most efficient way to do things. Seattle police have told me that automated photo enforcement issued more than 7500 tickets in the 1st 15 days of February. That's just a two week period. But since then, and more the word has gotten out. The city says that more than 2000 fewer vehicles a day are now using that bridge, which means okay, maybe we have a little extra capacity. And there's a big push right now to allow people who need life saving medical care like chemotherapy or dialysis to use the bridge, but The problem is Terminal five, is going to reopen for business on Harbor Island next year. And so the city is worried that if they allow more access now, they'll have to take it away later and they don't want to do that. They don't want to carry that. Briscoe start opening a lot more. We'll be exactly because they're going to see significant amount of freight traffic. And because of that, they're going to see the capacity go away. As for the money, the dollar figures in all of this $175 million is the budget. That covers the repairs to the West Seattle Bridge. The lower Spokane Street Bridge also includes the money already spent for the showing process, traffic mitigation improvements being made in West Seattle. The monitoring work city already has about 124 million of that, and it's aggressively looking for Mawr's, according to Sam, Zimbabwe, the head of the Transportation Department. We're moving are a lot of different paths forward. We don't project that funding is going to be the challenge that Holds us up in this, but we still have some some fresh holds across and make sure that we have the resources needed to bring this resource back online.

Whitney Houston's national anthem still the gold standard 30 years later

"The Super Bowl this year is all about who is the greatest of all time. But there was a Super Bowl performance 30 years ago, which may never be topped. CBS is anthem. Mason looks back. It's the gold standard for national anthem performances. Whitney Houston's rendition before Super Bowl 25 at Tampa Stadium. The year was 1991. The Gulf War had just begun. 27 year old Whitney Houston, who'd already had eight number one singles was dominating the charts. Houston's musical director, Rickey Minor produced the arrangement. I went to the school of Whitney and everything that I've done since then has been With my doctors degree from the University of Whitney. She took her inspiration from Marvin Gaye. The first thing she said, was You know. Have you heard Marvin Gaye do the national anthem for the NBA All Star Game. He said. It's something about it that I feel like it would give me more time to really express these words and let them linger a little longer. So instead of Oh, say, can you see? It was old saved can use C minor took the version to the Florida Orchestra, which was tapped to accompany Houston at the game. They took notice of the tempo change right away. Everybody was a little taken aback. A little like what is this? It's so different. It was Mary Corbett, second year with the orchestra as a violinist. You play it before every concert, So we just have it memorized. So when we played this new arrangement, everyone is sort of like what's this? Houston later recorded the vocals in L. A. Minutes after hearing the accompaniment for the first time she listened Nodding her head. And then after hearing it one time, she said, Okay, I got it. Just once. One time. The Star Spangled Banner is not an easy song to sing. The range of It is really tricky because it starts low, but it ends up high. Oh, sir, you know, And then it's the Rockets red glare. You have have to have that passion in there. There's some video of a few singers where they didn't get it quite in the right place. And the Rockets red glare sounded like like a like a rooster crowing. I mean, But the NFL was concerned about Houston's version. I think that they just thought it was too different to do the Super Bowl. We're at war, People will hear this and say that's not my national anthem Operation Desert Storm had just begun in the Middle East NFL executives asked Whitney's manager, her father, John Houston. Get her to change the performance, but minor pushed back. I said to John Houston, either I'm doing this or you have to call Whitney and say that you're gonna pull me off of it. Because this is what I believe is the best representation that will give her wings to fly with knees, version one out and she didn't just fly. She soared. She always said that was one of the most special moments in your life. It really changed the tone of the national anthem and I miss her every day. It still gives me goose bumps. I just got these bumps to listening to those last notes. That was gorgeous, really one of the only few times at a game I ever remember standing up and crying while singing the national anthem by myself well, with Holly in the in the Living room. And I still almost teared up again. It was just tremendous for the time.

"They say with cases as high as they are you just everyone you come in contact with outside your household could be contagious. Right now, Looking at 40 E four degrees outside the Carters Subaru Studios taking a look at the rest of your Thanksgiving Day forecast here is Carol seven. Pinpoint meteorologists. Nick Allard. Happy Thanksgiving. We have some missed. We have some drizzle out there this morning with quite a bit of cloud cover, But here's the thing. Expect most of Western Washington to be on the dryer side this afternoon. Just mostly cloudy skies. You don't see a lot of sunshine, and you could still see a raindrop or two through noon and then this afternoon. Think again across the Puget Sound region were pretty well dry outside of a random Sprinkle here and there at the coast, you could get a few light showers or Sprinkles and then also closer to Bellingham. So the majority of western Washington would be more driving. Wet highs. Seasonal right there in the upper forties with mostly cloudy skies tomorrow I expect to go with some fog early, You'll go for some increasing high clouds and then eventually some rain by late tomorrow night. Little bit of that early into Saturday, but I don't think you'll see much for long. And then Saturday and Sunday dry out for some some shine at least a little bit of sunshine on Saturday. Call it partly to mostly sunny on Sunday, but then high clouds increase again. And then you see some right overnight Sunday and early Monday Tuesday, Wednesday would seem or sunshine, but it looks cold in the overnight hours attempt in the twenties and thirties. Thank you, Nick. It is coming up on 8 14. "Morning news. Dave Ross with Colleen O'Brien and Rachel Bel is here to introduce us to the idea of destination education. That's right. Well, I think a lot of people are tired of being in the house. If you have kids, and you're doing the role of, you know, working your job, being a parent and also being their teacher, you might be desperate to get out of your house. According to this New York Times article. Ah lot of hotels and resorts that have been doing really poorly because people aren't traveling are kind of shifting and making themselves into little school getaways that they're calling school occasions. It seems that you can just add any word to Casey indication. How about a skunk occassion? Whatever you want, So the first example they give us at the Great Wolf Lodge, which I believe we have one of those around here. But they're talking about the one in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains on they set up what they call a schoolhouse. So it's just a big room that has these glass dividers. And they have desks that are 8 to 10 ft apart. And the idea is you can come with your kid and put them in that room. They have somebody that's their monitoring so that you know they can get the kid set up with the WiFi and help if anything goes wrong. And then you the parents can go work or play or do whatever you want. They have snack breaks and break time activities that the person leads them in, and it costs $85 a day. How fancy can this get well at the W Hotel in South Beach in Miami, which is usually a huge party destination, they closed in March and they're going to reopen in November. And do the whole family thing so you could pay extra for a private tour Personal trainers. If you wanted to exercise and P E class is for the kids on they provide WiFi a sound system and their desks are in poolside cabanas so that your kindergartener can learn by the pool That should help you focus. Yeah, and then also in Florida, the four Seasons Orlando Resort. They are doing a similar thing. But six kids in a room also like with with space, so It seems like they're in a lot of good destiny. I mean, there's one in Daytona Beach in San Diego. It's called recess at the pool, and it includes s'mores and rental bikes. So it seems like there's a lot of options again. As long as you have the money for it. It sounds kind of fun. Sounds like one big party. Speaking of parties. No one knows at a party like the people of Berkeley, California, Where could they have now banned junk food of the grocery checkouts? Oh, God, I love this. I grew up about 2025 minutes from Berkeley and and that's was a place where I learned to be a teenager and do bad things. But Berkeley. They normally do good things, so they were the first in the country to add that soda tax. On what they found through. That was that three years after they put it in place, kids were drinking 52% less sugary drinks. So what they're doing now is they pass us ordinance that's going to start January 1st all stores that are over 2500 Square feet. So these air like big grocery stores and drug stores, they can no longer have. You know when you're up at the register there, sometimes that impulse counter. Yeah. So, like the many kind of fridge with soda and sports drinks in it, and all the chips and all the candy bars that you know you're used Tio. That's all going to be gone, so they have to replace that with healthier food, and so it couldn't be no added sugar in the drinks. Let's see. It can't have too much salt in it. And it has to be governments with no added sugar, fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, lagoons, yogurt, cheese, whole grains, You can still get all the other stuff. You just have to go to the middle of the store and find its rightful place to get a bag of chips or candy bar. So the idea here is that people impulse buy. Carrots and sour tasting mints. Yes, I love this because I have to say when I am on a little road trip for a weekend trip, and I stop into the store to get something to eat. 85 90% the time I want something healthy, and I walked around and around and around her and, you know, it's like it's harder to find something healthy. I mean, outside of just going to the straight, you know, fruit and vegetable section, which a lot of that stuff it's not cut up. It's not prepared. I mean, I always and struggling to find a healthy snack, especially at a gas station. So I think that this is great Isis. This it would be putting Healthy grab and go stuff at the cash register, as opposed to the sugary, unhealthy grab and go stuff. Exactly. I think that it's a good idea because it's not saying you can't buy a candy bar some chips, it's just making it less convenient and let's face it. We all don't have very good willpower and let's face it even more. It's these corporations that are putting that up there in your face to make you think this is what you need so If you want to walk to the middle of store and get something that's your choice, But I think that we should fight against the corporate entities to kind of make us think we need this because it's just so close to us. So why not make the good food? Mork convenient to buy then the bad food? Exactly. So I have a feeling that this might catch on. Because Berkeley seems to be the trend setter. I think, if not Berkeley, it was San Francisco that, you know, banned plastic bags first, so I think that this starts in the bay Area all these things, and then they just kind of drift up the West Coast. Well, maybe Berkeley is not so crazy after all. Yeah, Stay weird, Berkeley. We like you. Rachel. Bill. Thank you, Rachel. Thank you. Age 53. That's traffic time. And for Chris Here is Emory Martin. We've got a collision and silver Dale heading south bound on northeast Wag away that is currently blocking the right hand lane right near the I five interchange. Within 167 still heavy from about 180th in Kent, with delays at a new castle and typical slowing on south bound five as driver's head into alder Wood, Cairo Radio, Real time traffic a memory, Martin So how are we enjoying our sunny day? If you're in the fog, you're asking yourself What? Sunny day? Well, there's Hayes here, too. So it's making the sun pink.

"Dave Ross Northwest Corner. Is Washington. Never Friday. You could tell us Friday when you hear that thing, because it means that historian Felix Penelope's going to join us for all over the map, which is a quick look at stories behind the names of local places. And this week we have distinctive monuments at places called four Lakes, Spokane planes and horse slaughter camp, which commemorate as you might gather from the name a violent chapter in Washington history that unfolded more than 160 years ago. Although Felix Hey, Dave, Yeah, these monuments are all related to battles between the U. S army and indigenous people. In the first week of September, 18 58 there near Spokane. They're all worth pulling off the road to take a closer look. Back stories complex with the basic reasons or tragically simple. What's now Washington was native territory for millennia for about the 18th thirties on settlers and natives came into often violent and deadly conflict over land. Resources and really the future, especially after a hasty treaty pre processing early 18 fifties. Now the monuments themselves date to the 19 thirties In 19 forties, they commemorate what's commonly known as the Indian War or Plateau war of 18 58. And this was essentially the last sustained armed conflict between indigenous people and the U. S Army and what's now Washington. The tribes involved included the police. This will can the cord Elaine, the Yakima now the battle of four lakes took place on September 1st 18 58. The monuments right off. I 90 near Cini. It's on a little side street now. But that side street actually used to be the old U. S. Highway 10, the main East west route across the northern United States. Now. On the in the battle, a few 100 U. S. Army soldiers fought several 100 natives. From the morning into the early afternoon, Several natives died that no American soldiers did. The monument is a jagged, pointy triangle. I think the old stretch of highway 10 might be cooler than you, then the monument. It's like this little living museum of what an old highway looked like from 100 years ago. It's really It's just so bizarre. Looked like it fell out of the sky and landed there in this now kind of back part of the of this neighbourhood there along the highway. Now the battle still can planes took place about five miles north of four lakes on September 5th 18 48 that monument, But you used to be in the middle of nowhere alongside the old Sunset Highway, which is now highway to And it's since thanking forties. It's been across the street from Fairchild Air Force Base, and it's a striking design. It's the stout pyramid made of stones. And when you stand there, looking west of the open plains stretching away from you, it's a really stirring spot to think about what this area was like before any settlers came. It's just it's it's a It's a kind of gripping a gripping vista there. Now in.

"News this is Dave Ross with Colin o'brien and Chris Sullivan and joining us for another week of financial adventures is a senior business analyst Jill Schlesinger you vote you've written that we're seeing a fundamental change in the economy we we saw of for example J. crew gold go bankrupt other retailers of course are struggling this this appears to be accelerating the timeline for businesses that were already in trouble that's exactly right I I interviewed a marketing professor for at peace for CBS news Sunday morning yesterday and I found it interesting he with his name is Scott Galloway and by the way super smart guy he's the one who predicted months before it happened that Amazon would purchase whole food so he's very good at trends and he said something that seemed to make a lot of sense to me and he said this pandemic okay this pandemic is not necessarily a change agent it's an excel around two trends that were already emerging so you know he said the day before the pandemic he said the department stores were in the seventh inning of their lives and now they're in the bottom of the night and clearly the retail industry is going to be transformed xcelerated we know the online world is taking over obviously Amazon and Walmart and target are beneficiaries of that but in target's earnings last week I found it interesting their foot traffic was down online sales of two hundred seventy five percent from the year ago period well so what does this mean for people's jobs who becomes most vulnerable in this sort of what what sort of moving towards an online economy well I mean in some ways I've always thought that retail workers have been some of the most nimble in the US work force you know a lot of people who worked in stores that actually ended up closing find themselves have skills that are actually valued customer service now you may not be feeling so great about your customer service about you know online with that with sort of an interface between you and your customer but it's still valued so I think that they're going to be jobs that are lost we know that when the monthly jobs report comes out on Friday we're gonna see that twenty million people lost their jobs in April's ten times we've ever seen in the past and we know that some of those jobs are going away forever but some of those jobs some of those people are going to come back and work in different industries in different ways maybe in transformed companies that need people who know how to deal with people and I think that I sound like Barbra Streisand in funny girl about dissing people people who need people but I think that there is something about this environment where those of us who are good at communicating at may find it we have somewhat of an advantage over some people who even have technical expertise because communication is going to be even more important in the post covert world because we're not gonna be able to just walk up to somebody and talk to them in the same way yeah you know people who need people are the luckiest people in the world yeah it's true I just would like to put a plug in for the great CBS corporation because I happen to have CBS all access and the other night just to suit myself when I was feeling kind of down I did watch the first hour funny girl said thank you to the corporation and paramount for that it's interesting the way this has actually turned business models upside down or at least change the perception of the because Airbnb one seems like a charming way to get yourself immersed in local color now it's just you staying in a stranger's home right it's so true and you know what it is it's it's I'm sure that this is our reaction in the moment and it does not mean that Airbnb is going away it may mean that we think about it differently it may mean that the company should be valued differently I think about that even with ride sharing you know it you know obviously these businesses have taken a huge hit what will maybe instead of taking a cheap remember or lift to work maybe now walking to work actually sounds like a really good idea and maybe now the scooter and bike sharing is a much better idea and maybe I'm gonna have to carry wipes with me to do that but nobody feels particularly comfortable getting into a small space with a stranger right now that is going to change I know that but it may be that we come out of this period and saying well you know what maybe it was kind of cool not to do that maybe I could save myself a lot of money I've heard some stories just about for rift that people are kind of getting into this mode where you know my kids are you know they're they're millennials and they kind of like the idea of thrift and maybe that's not so bad it's kind of great did not spend quite as much money going out to lunch every single week it's kind of great to have that money go into my savings account and I'm there's a revaluation of some of those notions that perhaps our little eight we'll see if they last I mean I I am encouraged by a lot of the the lessons coming out of this yes being prepared this seems to be in vogue again right oh my god it's like I used to be like the the nagging aunt jail and now I'm jealous of you because true true I did you have your emergency reserve and have you done your will where's your bit of about but you know I could be a nudge it's true now I'm your gentle nudge reminding you that being prepared to pay off the debt you know what you can't prevent bad things from happening right but you can make it a little bit easier to go through these times if you are prepared it's not that you're not gonna feel anxiety we're all feeling anxiety you're not gonna feel anxiety over the those pieces of the process CBS senior business analyst and knowledge thank you deals those injured thank you Jill a gentle nudge thank you eight forty one sales morning news and coming up next we have magic messages to get to this is car radio Cairo radio seven ten E. S. P. N. N. A. M. seven seventy KT eighty eight tuned up to log Washington the open for business a landing page with a list of local restaurants and service.

It's funny like I guess I feel like I've seen a Lotta movies and in this environment I I don't really get that jazzed for for a character finding himself. I guess are for me right right because you know because you know the work that the character having not found himself is scripted. It's like it created by someone. Yeah it makes total sense. My favorite another one of my favorite moments in that movie is when they're watching Leonardo Capri they're watching Rick Dalton's clip from FBI and like that's the most realistic actor Shit. Who'd how could you be willing to? That's just like what George Clooney did with South Park. Yeah yeah he's the voice. Yeah I love your show. Can I be in your show. And they were like yeah. You can be in our fucking show. Yeah Man Yeah Okay. So seven seven in fight club or two big ones. The oceans movies are big ones. Yes it was a really big one for Emme was twelve monkeys that in a long time that deserves a reward. Totally I for some reason. Oh Yeah I'm like working on a thing that sort of sci-fi Vieille and I was thinking about Brazil and I just yeah I love Terry Gilliam across the board. Same here man. Yeah probably all do a rewatch of those too soon. Oh Oh yeah Brazil. I've seen more recently twelve monkeys. It's been like a decade since I've seen. Oh Man Yeah should watch it. It's I feel like I'm the reverse. I have seen it recently. I think. Oh Oh actually. I know exactly why I was on the road somewhere somewhere where no one else. No one live there like there was. It was weird that there's a club or wherever I was was and so just during the day I was like all right. Well I guess I'll watch. TNT just like on fifteen again. The ultimate hotel like I watched so many I watched seventy percent of so many law and order episodes hotel on tour. I know that's a thing that's like a real. That's something I really love watching specifically law and order order in a hotel room it is hotel TV. Yeah it's for that because I also don't have a TV in my bedroom here which is sort of like a thing. My wife and I made the choice to your good idea but now when I'm on a hotel when I say this is about us like we used to be in our twenties when we would go on vacation we'd have like a hotel room be like. Yes the dog. Fuck we got all this show got towels we got everything. We need each other's brains out thirties like who tv air-conditioning ordering in order. We're going to leave. Close the blinds room service totally really watch law and order all day so yeah watch twelve monkeys on TNT and you know somewhere in the Dakotas or something like that. It's always crazy. I find myself when I'm watching a movie that has like I'll be like watching top gun with commercials and be like I own this on. DVD only probably find it on my phone watching unbroken totally. But instead I'm just going to here like I love it. I love it when they blew bleep out the curse words in a movie. I've seen seven times already. Yeah totally So I've seen twelve monkeys recently and Brad Pitt is like so I mean. He's so good at playing crazy and it's also a specific kind of crazy. It's like a very twitchy person and and I'm like you know I don't have near that bad of mental illness but I have really bad anxiety and like I will like get very fine. Drop getting towards their end in this specifics of how he liked delivers sentences and response to people. I was like God Damn Dude. I'm like yeah. It's a great choice it's research it's thought out. It's obviously yeah totally effort into you. Just really don't expect someone I mean. Maybe it's because I don't know I I'm going to say something that maybe doesn't seem related but it will come back. I feel like not on this aright motherfucker and everything to make perfect sense. We talk forty minutes about drinking in the middle of the Brad Go Gaga. I found myself sort of not understanding the world and pop culture in a way recently. It's it's newer and and not just because I'm older and I'm like out of touch. Because the categories of the world are are the categories that people and things fall into seem muddy in a way that they weren't for me and I realized. I think that one way that people people were who grew up in the nineties were raised is that that era was very much about putting people in categories. Like this is is a punk band. This is a whatever and I do think in my mind. I divided between a leading actor and a character actor and we would talk talk about like Brian. Dennehy as the greatest character actor right right right and so I like unlike this with politics. I'm like you know if You if you are pro choice than you are pro gay marriage and stuff like that all these waters are getting money and I do think. The younger millennial generation in Gen Z.. Way Better about the reality that life is grey areas. Why I think I think the the word that is emblematic of the younger generation than us is something that we never even thought of is the spectrum? Yes and it's whether it's a sexuality spectrum are like this band goes across spectrum their punk but they're also electronics. This person is straight but also yes. This person has is a What's the word? I'm looking for a typical Norway typical. But there's the spectrum it's just just binary yeah yeah and it's not there's just it used to be good and evil everything even movies cinema like art. All was this or this this this and now I think we're learning and it's always. He's been true but now we're able to address more and just be like this really unlock that for me. Yeah yeah totally and for that reason I think like it is confounded. Bounded me a lot in my life and continues to what I what I said at the beginning which is which is that. Brad Pitt is a great character actor like literally even as I'm saying it and I know it. My brain doesn't really process it because it doesn't feel like a thing you can be right right. Can't be Bo Jackson. You can't do both. Yeah right now especially like with a like it used to be TV star or movie star right now. Everyone does whatever now. Like doc doesn't Espresso commercials. I'll tell you what though if I'm such a fan at this point that have if there's a Brad Pitt starring TV show. I'll lose my shit I tame. I just don't know if he would do it. Yes it seems like he's winding down and he's like just doing whatever he wants. That's another thing. Is there an element of it. You think that's like did. His disguise just always have great reps. He had always had great reps or or personally and I believe that he also has great taste. Yeah like due to the amount of you've just knowing the high he has such a high batting average yes with just great making him choosing great projects even the shit that he's in. That isn't great as I burn. Earn after reading. And you're like well. It is a Coen brothers right. How are you going to say note or Mr and Mrs Smith which is like Super Fund? His wife at the time. Yeah it's just like we're GONNA put put a fucking second wing on our house and our kids can be on set with US fucking league twelve weeks. Yeah Yeah right we hang out for four months and we play action stars suited each other. We're GONNA have the most sex ever this year. Yeah exactly yeah totally and yes yeah. So he's like I just recently rewatch inglorious bastards. That's a big one. I remember how good that movie is how much I like. Everyone in it and then and I'm watching it and when when Brad is introducing like right this is the fucking media. This movie Has Disney cartoon in that movie. He somehow how has contorted his face to look like a one thousand nine hundred fifty or I'm sorry. Nineteen forties wartime black and white cartoon person. Yes literally the shape of his Chin and how how we talks out of it is like your Popeye. Bro Nazi he's got sort of like a big extra square jaw. And he's saying Nazis all the time he so fucking cool. Well he's got the worst of all right haircut in that movie and he looks like walking million dollars. I really do wonder it. Is it true. Talent in Hollywood would to pick good projects just as a person who has basically a non acting career like a non-career not to shoot myself. I I like haven't even put much effort in yet. I've had I've been in it a little bit. And so I've like been asked to do a some things and I've read the scripts. Listen done my best. You know. But that's a skill to just think you're like you read a script and think about the director and who wrote it and who else is in it and into a match be able to imagine in. No it's good that's crazy right not possible. I couldn't even like this. I'm at the level where I couldn't imagine passing on something. This is absolute salute garbage. But your boy likes to work totally but I also think nowadays there is you can do share stuff and people get it. Yeah people matters like people get it more. People are just like I'll watch everything that Brad Pitt's in if he makes a shit movie I don't care and it's not going to hold a like back in the day. If someone did a commercial you'd be like what the fuck is right now. It's like Jon. Hamm is doing a home state. You know what I mean like. H And r block like why live fucking don draper. Yeah totally little cameos. I'm always so like all your cool. You're right what are some of those. Oh I'm not remembering rapid. Smaller roles are yeah especially later in his career early on. He's in well Brad Pitt. Even in a movie that I have no like. He's in meet Joe Black movie that I I never thought it's it's worth watching just to see the ending. The ending is one of the most host insane like surprises at nowhere here in alien in Mitchell black. He's the devil. Yeah I think he's like the devil or a ghost or like a reincarnate like and he's there to like take a guy away like bring him. He's like the grim reaper. That's what he is he's okay and he's like all this weird shit about it and doc will spoil the ending for the year like there's this he's like in love with him when he's definitely falls in love with a woman he can't be with her because she di no they like have this moment where they're walking away from each other and they're like decided that they can't be together but they each take turns looking back and and the other person's not looking and it's sort of like that class and then like Brad like looks back across the shoulder. She's not walking. She's continued walk away so he turns back takes. Two steps into the street gets absolutely creamed by two car hit by one going way which launches them to another one across the street and that one hits him back the other direction wild and out of nowhere you don't expect did they have in and it's just a crazy ending movie as soon as we're done here I'm GonNa just play the ending for you on Youtube watching the whole movie just to get to them. I I think the other guy weird well. I'm glad he's okay. I was genuine. He lived uh-huh life. He does all his own stunts. That he's like Jackie Chan. I like about you see the credits. Where bad dive into shopping carts? Whoa he was also the key grip on this weird was Brad Pitt in that movie sleepers sleepers? That was like the kids molested eh abused and then they come back like adults in. I don't remember yeah. I think he's one of the guys in that too. Damn I wish it would have looked. I am right. Yeah Yeah Yeah. It's fun to speculate but I'm sitting here going. I can't believe talking about because I haven't I haven't seen Ad Astra which is his new is new perfect? I'm I'm I'm into it right because Robert Redford. Is Dad in that movie or something. I don't know someone. I Love Sci fi by like weird especially modern Sifi that looks immaculate now. n-i-l-l-a-s movies are perfect. Now Okay Great Yeah Interstellar Fuck in rocked my world and I saw that theater like I was so caught up in it like I was just like Oh my God I called my friend and I was like dude that movie change me. And he's like how and I'm like I actually don't know maybe maybe I am being hyperbolic. I'm with you line and sinker circle absolutely gone Hayes quoting his detective dip character in the Matt. Stop Time and that's that's why they stay the same age. Yeah with some other smother pit. I mean I never saw the Mexican. 'cause I just kind of assumed that it was was Mel Gibson No. That's if it were a Mel Gibson movie I feel like it would be something horrid We do impressions on action. Boys all the time they'll give voicemails you've seizes dude. I know to find out that that dude hates Jews was it wasn't like it didn't i. Yeah well I didn't. I don't need Mel Gibson to be good. It didn't destroy my world right. It's like really bud. The Guy who made the Patriot. Yeah what do you think you are the lethal weapon two. He's the bad guys are like apartheid from South Africa. And he's like fucking racist. He Calls People Hitler. Learn eight off and all the whole movie and watching it now. It's like dude you. You're this comeback. God God what was his movie. There was a movie that was made and designed to bring him back and like sort of a tone and it was about like a.

They skater boy hoo yeah once on a skateboard when i was eleven never got back on sense. I am a skater. I have been ice skated on a skateboard twice. The first time i fell off and i hurt my butt and the second time i fell off and i hurt my but yeah so report should come with but pads. Go ahead should only kneepads. I think he's got to toughen up that but now in fairness you say that to everyone. I say i used to give them a little pat on the fanny but you know nope different time yeah different times different time no longer include the fanny pat unless i am explicitly asked for it yeah so i i saw the thing about vans is that they are. They're tough on the feet when they're new yeah additionally. They're tough on the feet. <hes> you gotta break them in there and it's a it's a process you know oh you gotta you. Gotta you gotta. You gotta rough them up a little bit. Gotta wear them in the bathtub sure and it's been exactly totally and and if you are a guy like me who loves wearing them without socks. <hes> you know you're going to blister. I call to get a license but you don't you don't need the nuclear codes buddy and just have your lawyer. Call their lawyer in come to an agreement but you do have an iron the key at the same time as a general jordan i. I don't believe that all agreements are zero sum.
