"Radio Dave, Rick and Cathy on this frigid Monday morning, eh, Jim? Ah, how you guys doing? Um, Dave, you mentioned before the break. Just some friends of mentioned that Drew lock isn't really they don't think he's the guy? Yep. And that you didn't You weren't ready to give up. Not yet. No. I know I have to agree with your friend that I don't think he's a guy. I don't think it's given up on him. I think it's just being realistic in that, um, you know the last five games of last season. He definitely did well, but he hasn't I mean, he has the moments of riel. You know, good, get quarterback knowledge and doing his job, But I don't. I don't think we're looking at Ah. You know? Ah, star, you know? Ah, John Elway or or any of the other. You know big name quarterbacks. I think it'll be a good quarterback. But I don't think he's going to be a great quarterback. I, uh Patrick Holmes is ah, a dynamite. Yeah. Excellent. I just don't think he's that I'll tell you. The guy that I've been impressed with is when Drew lock was out there third string guy Yeah, he showed some real good poise and good maturity of the quarterback. He wasn't You know, It's just some of Drew lock stuff just in maturity. I think Erinn experience. As a quarterback where I think Griffin just did much, much better. You could be. And Jim Thanks a lot for the call. I listen. I think that I mean, if the gold standard is John Elway and we're holding drew lock up at this point in his career after eight starts to stand. I don't see him ever being John Elway. You got a pretty good chance of winning that debt, don't you? Because I haven't seen anybody, you know, maybe save Peyton Manning. I haven't seen anybody in franchise history that lived up to that standard. But again, my point is, I think it's too early after eight games. To, at least for me. To get to the place that I can say You know what? Just not him. It's not going to be him and ain't him and they've got they've got to have whatever plan B is. You've got to start thinking about how you put Plan B in place. Now. Will I eventually get there? I don't know. I want to see how the rest of the season plays out. But he's had eight starts. He didn't You know there's some things he didn't do very well yesterday. He's got me. Drew has a tendency This is You know, As I look at that film, this is what I see is a tendency to look for those big place. He's he's a big play Hunter. And there are times where not a lot, but even a couple of times yesterday where he was going to take that guy in the flat, man. Just get the ball out of your hands. Get it to him, plus seven second out of three. But instead he's got that big play mentality. And you want your young quarterback tohave a little bit of that. Because the guys that don't have it, you can't win with them. Because they're trying to check the ball down all the time. They're always taken the easy when my completion percentages the under 70%. Yeah, because you know what, you won't. You won't take any chance with the ball so you can't win with those guys. But I think Drew has to understand that there are times where you wantto you know, You want to take those shots other times where you just want to get the ball out of your hands and live to fight. Another day. You don't seem to force a lot of balls in there and on occasion. Hey, it's with one But throwing into double coverage. Triple coverage. You get lucky yesterday he threw the one pass Rick you talked about, you know, he's got a guy in the flat. He tried the loft the ball it was on a boot. Rolling to his right. The Broncos were going north, and he tried to loft the ball over defender and get it down before a defender was Chloe. That was the past that could have and probably should have been intercepted. You know, so he's just it's Ah, It's a learning process for young guys, especially at this position. Well, my question for you and Dave, You're the smartest football guy I've ever don't know about that. Well, just my opinion. Is that a state sponsored comment. I think I know what you know. I'm not going to get on this, dude. What is with the state sponsored stuff? I mean it really seriously you have. How about how about we go on some show? Maybe Both stations will let us do that. And we just sort of chop it up and stop with that crap Because you guys went after the Broncos contract hard last time, And you do the same thing this time, So can we just can we just stop? Nobody here tells me And I'm assuming Rick what to say about the Broncos ever. That's 31. This is 31 years. There's not one time anybody has ever come to me and said, Hey, you know, I got a contract with the Broncos. You might wantto soft in your stands because I think they know me well enough to know what my response would be. So just stop with that, If you mean having opinion ever take, you know, do your thing, but just stop with all this other nonsense. Sorry, Rick. Yeah, the way I look at that, David is they wish they had the Broncos. Whatever man, Let's face it, They bid on it whenever it's up..

I was just telling Dave when That we were able to find actually found two commercials that I was in. And when you look at that, it's like that was another guy. That was a lifetime ago. Yeah, I get that You're really young, and I just moved out to L A and And you probably feel the same way when you look at like, you know, See you film of you playing football or You know, you're even NFL. I would imagine. It's like, Who is that guy? No, I know pretty cool. Oh, he got blown up catching that ball. That's what I think. Every time I see one of those you feeling? Ah, yeah, That's where I got that shoulder thing goes to it, right? I mean, you just You don't even know You can't tell what you're feeling now is because you get a little bit older, or it's like I wonder if that had anything to do with the time I got flipped on my head in Pittsburgh, I would say the answer is yes. Tall them, right, Right. No question back. Two phone lines read in South Dakota. Joining us Sankey away News Radio. Hello, Red. Hey, Dave. Rick A home? Yes. Do you think that if hell wig gets a chance, he encouraged Victor stick and stick it to gate after what he did Our Miami I think I think there is no love lost there, but I think honestly. The Broncos would be AH, lot more interested in just finding a way to win a game winning games. I don't think they have. I'm not saying they don't have the wherewithal to stick it to anybody, but, um, yeah, I think they've loved just aboard that plane and get back here about five o'clock tomorrow morning with the idea that they're now one in three. That would be Awesome for them. You may remember this 66 grand. Come in here. With Curly Copan. Dawson. Them guys beat the Broncos 59 chance He would onside kick every time score didn't run the score up. Five men take me about two minutes left, and he has a bold out about joining. He called timeout. Just score again. Do you remember that? I remember and red. Thanks a lot for the call. We'll have tto looked at up. I was at a game. I I don't know if it was 66. Seems to me it was a little bit later. That that they did on psychic. I don't remember Monster kicking every game every every time they scored. They did beat the Broncos. As you said, like 50 something to not much. And the chief's got pelted with snowballs as they left the field going under. What at that point would have been the South stands in the old mile High stadium. Oh, he did on psychic. That so I don't think he did it every single score. What to look up well to look up. What That was millennia Grant. See if we can find Ah score if the Broncos chiefs It was like 59 toe maybes, 10 7 would have been I think was like 67 or eight. I guess it could read thought was 66 could have been But it was on October 29th 1967 Chiefs 52 Broncos 9 52 to 9 that that was the game. I was actually at that game as a kid. And it was well. It was a beating. I mean, it was They had a lot of beatings back then the Broncos were you know, I loved him. But they can't leave, man. I mean, and they were in a really good The F L was loaded and they were in the same division with the Chiefs and the Raiders and the Chargers and all three of those franchises. We're really good at the time. Did you go to a lot of games with her day? I did not. I did not know that I went to. I don't know, Handful of games. You know, we just You didn't. You couldn't do. It couldn't couldn't afford. No, you couldn't couldn't get way just didn't do it. But when I went down there it was just awesome stated they smell of Of professional football. I was so stoked to be able to go down there to see them play nothing better than going to a game with your dad. When you're a kid like that. We would Goto Tiger's games. And baseball tickets much cheaper than football. Obviously. So we wouldn't go to a lot, but we would go to some and Tiger Stadium. It was in a really bad part of town. And they didn't have a parking lot. So you had to park in the neighborhood. Around Tiger Stadium. And it was pretty sketchy in one thing I remember about my dad. Walking from a couple blocks from where we parked to get into the stadium. He would say. Hold my hand. It just looked out. Wow. Look around, just pulled my hand to look down. And and I'm I'm not kidding. It was in a pretty sketchy area. And but great memories. Once you got into the stadium, and you could see that green grass and the smell all the smells of the crackerjacks cigars beg you guys would smoke cigars? Yes, at the games and all of that. And that says something you never forget is a kid. No. You know what? I completely agree in those smells. They don't even know why they're so distinctive. But they are, Yeah. They are not walking up the stairs of the old mile high. And you'd walk up the stairs and then you get to the side of the concourse and then go to wherever you are seated and then being able to see the field and players out there and that That sort of feeling and the smell of that It was just it was unlike anything that that I've never experienced. Yeah, it's a combination of smells. And maybe it's the hot dogs cooking, too. And You know, it's just It's a wonderful smell, and it brings back great memories of being a kid. And being able to go to a game because just like you, it wasn't something we could do very often, And when you did, it was a big deal. We're going to bring back good memories. Larry is going to join us on Ko in news radio. Good morning, Larry. A good morning, Dave. How are you doing? Good, Larry. Well, that's good. Hey, I was kind of listening to what you guys were talking about having Ah, Your high school jackets in your letters on your jacket on everything. And now you guys wish you still had him. "Mike's off, which is good for you. We'll never do it with my loving, tender time final hour of the show. We don't think it's a final show, but it's the final hour of this show on this Tuesday. Dave, Rick and Cathy with you. 3037138585 is the number of Christian Aurora wants to tell us why Boy is offensive to black man. I don't I don't think we need to know that. I think we agree with that. But we'll hear from Chris anyway. Christiane K away. Good morning. A day was going on was up before the closer we know each other but a story for another day. There was one of my favorite shows going that was all in the family. With Carroll O'Connor and They had a third episode where a plumber someone like that repairman came in, too. Chicks something And Archie and the plumber to repair man just happened to be Archie had a story of how it went. Ah might have a story of how it went and then eat. It has story of how how the episode how the repair went. And at the end already was talking about how I never will forget this RG was Archie called him a boy. And ah, and the actor Bad effect actor was wrong Glass. Ou of your black eye on Barney Belt and Ah ah! And the repairman said I don't like that. Aren't you like what are you talking about? I don't like that word on like that were boy. And said, What do you mean? I just don't like it when he says, you know, I'm a man. And he says, Okay, you're a man. I'm a band. You know, Let's not make a big deal out of it. Wrong glass that you never had to. Because of you know, that's where we are today. We're trying to equalize things out. But at the same time there's been history. Of why certain names certain things you call somebody matters. I agree. I agree is this Is this the Chris We usedto? We usedto I used to play basketball against each other. Well. We did back Inn, Rachel Day, Okay, then. But what we were actually on the same team at one point, So is your is your last name Start with a C. No. Okay, I'm thinking of a dance. I'm thinking of a different, Chris. Okay. All right. Yeah. No, I I good to you when I see you because I didn't see you when I see you go. Oh, that was you. All right, Chris, I have a question, though. If the term boy when that be rude, Tio either Any man right? No. Now the pin on this depends on the context. Right? All right. The point is, it depends on the relationship between the two relationship between that's right. I mean, I think I think that You know if if if you are part of a group and all this, I use an example. Um He even back in the mid seventies and eighties, right? When one of us the receivers would make a big play or touchdown reception. We come to sideline And one of the other receivers, you know, would you know? I'm not sure if we were DAP in what we were doing, then slapping hands or high 500. Whatever hell we're doing that would be like, you know, a good job, boy. Yeah, I mean that. That's not that's not a majority of term either black to white or white to black in that regard, But if you're a white dude that doesn't know a black person and you call him boy. That's a completely different thing. And Christian. I think a test of that. What if you were say exactly right. Okay, So let me ask you this, though. What if you are a white guy? And you said it, Tio younger, white guy, but he was an adult. And you said it in I like it in a rude term. Same context. Both happened to be white. It would depend on Who were you trying to do? The young kids step outta line and say something disrespectful to a woman and a boy? A backup? I mean, I think I think that would be that would come from a position of Sort of seniority, trying to teach a young kid. You don't talk to women that way, but it changes of that young kids. Same situation was Asian, Black or Mexico's. I think it does. I think it does. Yes. Interesting, Chris. Go ahead. We'll wrap it up with your final comment. Oh, well, I didn't have a final contact comment, except for the fact that I thought Morrison was the speed trap. I don't know. I don't get it. Morrison Morrison was a speed trap. If he grew up in Colorado. Everybody knows that Toni Morrison, Okay, Okay, Able. It is a speed trap. Way We ran to the party. We ran to the party will be here within the everything Alright, Thank thank you, Chris. That was for my I got my last speeding ticket was a Morris. It is a speed trap. I live out by Morrison and Man, you gotta watch it always by sea forces. You know where they're sitting, so I don't know. I never get pulled over. But then a lot of people do, they said the same. Place traps everywhere, because it's it's only how many miles of it to like. See for six or seven. They always said Where and they catch you, then 25 is another one. Then they write a lot of tickets and Morrison. I'd like Tio address this guy that said, I did mention that Polish did a good job. I said that he did a good job compared to other governors, you know, because some governors shut everything down completely didn't open for a long time, and he tried to Get as open, you know, slowly opening, but everybody shut down. Well, what are we supposed to do? I mean, no matter where you lived in California was worse..

"Dave, Rick and Cathy on K away news radio. Cool song. Burton Burton Cummings, Burton Cummings lead vocal was Randy Bachman guitar player right over to Look at you. You must have a round rock for awhile. Yeah, I'd like to read liner notes, a music nerd. Welcome back 3037138585 is the number Dave, Rick and Cathy. Interesting and again. We do the show. We've done that our show every day here in the studio dirt during covert 19. I mean, we don't not like we get a pat on the back for that. I'm just stating. Ah fact. So we have three TVs up If Fox 31 on one, we have ESPN on one. We have CNN on one. And it was interesting just a moment ago. And I'm not bringing this up. To necessarily started topic because we've got other things we're going to talk about. CNN with a huge headline. Running huge crawl, headlined running across there on a different story now, but that how there were many concerned about the spread of covert 19 because of the Sturgis. Rally. Last was that last weekend? It's going on right now. This week Now, I I don't know. I don't know if I'd go up there with tens of thousands of people. I let me just rephrase that. I probably wouldn't Probably wouldn't the point of that is And having CNN on every single day in the studio. When There were protesters in all sorts of protests going on which then with some of these, not the peaceful protesters with some of these yahoos turned into looting and vandalism and beating people up. In all that not one time because I'm sitting here staring at the TV every single day, Not one time. Do remember CNN ever running a crawl across the bottom of the On air product. Said they were worried about The protesters slash and then again delineating between the two looters, Arsonists and all those yahoos creating havoc. Not one time that I see CNN run the crawl about now. There was real concerned about the spread of cove in 19. I just wanted to. I just want to throw that out there not trying to start anything. You know, not trying to get those that you know, may may believe in in what was going on, all riled up, and if I do well, then too bad, But I just want to point that out as a fact. Well, that's that's just CNN for you. I guess that's just how they are. That's how it is. Yeah. Yeah, they listen. I can't truth be known. I can't really watch Fox. They used to watch Fox, but I can't. I can't watch that anymore, either. I'm just trying being honestly. Now. I just I'll either looking online and try to read Various stories or I still like ESPN, because, you know, my background is in sports. But in terms of news man tough to find an outlet now anywhere I mean, anywhere that is not totally Bice. Totally one where the can't watch it. I haven't watched local news in years. It's so that's I get my get my news. Same thing. Same thing you're doing Dave from the Internet. I tryto find various sources stories because all of them are slanted one way or the other. And then you make up your mind What you believe in what? You don't believe I can't watch CNN. I can't watch Fox. I can't watch any of them. By the way. One tidbit of information. In a story. In business insider Researchers have studied 14 types of masks to see which offer the most protection. And found because I've seen these mass out there now they have found that neck fleece is Might actually make things worse and gators to and gave the right the Gator mask. What are neck Felices? Liken it like we ski with. Yes, OK, you bring you you eat. If you're skiing and got cold, you bring it up over your mouth and nose because you want to keep from getting frostbitten that seems like that a little hot in the summer. Probably good point. I would think that would be. It's already hot anyways, when you were a mask right because you're breathing into the near like feeling your own hot breath. The Gator is is warm in the summer, I have found And you could see this the easiest one to breathing because it's then that and that makes sense. Why? It's also no good, because too much is getting through it. And the Gators weren't meant Tio protect anything from your mouth. They're meant to protect your neck. Keep your neck warm. That's why you made that seems with little weird that you think that Gator's would not you personally, But people in general would think Gators would be a good protection of ur a mask when you write You were, like motorcycle coverage. You know your mouth? No. Okay here by yourself, right? No, but I bring one. You know, just in case someone stopped somewhere. Yeah, somewhere. You have to have a mask. I keep like a stack of the surgical mass in my car. In case I forget my cloth one Because I've never I've never driven a motorcycle. I've only been on one. In my life. So I'm asking this seriously. If you don't want something covering your mouth, How do you keep from having bugs like go down your mouth? You know some guys I wear a full face helmet, so that the good guys that don't they will wear a gator and pull it up for some sort of face covering, so they don't get bugs in there just to keep you know the the The elements and some of them that windshield, right? Not all motorcycles, but some of them have the winch If I rode one, I don't think I'd want the which he wouldn't want the window. I like the way it sort of looks like Father's father knows best. When depends on what bike you have. I'm not cracking on. You have a windshield on yours. I do on a couple. Yeah. That's like a touring bike. Yeah, yeah. You know if you're going to be riding all day, like I wrote from here to Arizona last month, when you want one of those ready, Ideo, like, firstly because he keeps the elements in case you get caught in a radio. But it is kind of nice to have the wind just in your part of the thrill. Is having the wind in your face. Do they have one of those things that you can? You're starting to write in a rainstorm. You Khun comes over can be comes over the top view on the bike and I don't want that. Don't we come up with?.

And and I forget. How it started. But the basic way we played pom pom we kind of said Pull away, you know, like, pull away and and I think it really is. Pull away, You know P u l l away, right? But how we would plague and the great thing you could play with 10 people. You could play with 50 people. You the way we played it. You would line up on on one line if you will, and then there would be a line across from you. 10 yards, 20 yards. What? Whatever distance you know, many times it was one driveway through the front yard to the next driveway, right? One person would start in the middle. Between the two lines between the two lines and I think where it came pulling way for us. That person in the middle would say Pom pom. Pull away Let your horses run away and the object Wass. All of those people on the line would try and get to the other line without being touched. Two hands is how we would do it, too. Hands touch to your body and you get arguments like kids and everything else. But Two hands and get to the other side when you got touched. You joined the middle. So say there were 10 people running and one in the middle. Now there are nine people running into in the middle. Okay, And then it works until you get to whoever was the best at alluding that and gets to the other side. And so when I referenced did from A football perspective for me. You had to avoid contact. So you had to learn how to make movies. You have to be fast. Sometimes you could just run. You know you'd see people line up on the edge because they have to start. Physically in the center, the center of the yard or the area we had, and halfway between the two goal line, Ray will write so sometimes you try and line up a the end and and just outrun them because they couldn't catch you. But as more and more gathered in the middle of became more of a challenge, and now you're trying to you know, it was like a Barry Sanders drill, You know, just do all those, you know Walter Payton all the great elusive NFL running bags in the Hall of Fame, but that kind of game and And sometimes you get people who would try and drop a shoulder and and get through before two hands were on him. But it was a great game and you could play it. With a wide age group. It didn't just have to be on. It was only for the bigger kids are only for the younger kids. Okay, so the person Okay, So the one person starts in the middle and then let's say they touch another person now. When the next round comes and there's those two people in the middle. They don't have to hold hands and chase people. They chased me. They do it independent, independent, right. Okay, so this is it's so funny because I know exactly what this game is. But our kids call it sharks and minnows and the shark is in the middle to start and you have kids on either either line and they try and get to the other line. But if you get touched with two hands, and those are the minnows, the kids running back and forth, it's assuring exact games. You know, Pom pom you go. There you go. That is funny. I just didn't know it was called Pom Pom boy says you people got to get modern here, Jack. I'm just kidding. You know, I'm kidding. Texture on the 303 my grandson and I tape string and ribbon all through the house and tried to walk and crawl through our virtual laser course. Yeah, that's a great idea. It is a great reminds me the mission. Impossible movie. Yeah, no, you do You do all of that. It is a wonderful idea. Another text idea from the seven to own We talked about it a little bit. The suggestion, you know, buy it. Ballpark, food broads, hot dogs, You know, peanuts, popcorn and when the Rockies game is on, and I mean right now, while a TNT sports that is showing great games from the past and Hopefully next Friday, when they're listening to you and me on the radio and watching the game with the sound down pretender.

"Of minutes Patrick Saunders good friend gather does a great job covering Major League Baseball in particular covering the Rockies for the Denver post is gonna join us and hopefully can bring some clarification to the latest proposal from Major League Baseball morning Patrick it's Dave Rick and Kathy how are you hi Gail I'm doing okay yeah gave all try to help you out here I I just got back from Los sold today I'm at you know up and of course like you I just saw the latest proposal program now being that I think I've got it sorted out in what's become a very convoluted story yeah getting seemingly worse by the day so that so that the the the owners Rick read the story earlier the owners have submitted back their proposal to the players which now includes a seventy five game schedule for seventy five percent in how I read this was you you would agree to play seventy five games whatever you would make in those seventy five games based on your per game play the what the owners would be willing to pay you seventy five percent of that total is that right correct that's that's what I'm reading as well however the problem here isn't one of the bushes from what I can tell people I've talked to if there's no postseason right then that goes to fifty percent and with the threat of the corona virus still out there layers are worried that the seventy five percent would drop down to only fifty percent should there be no postseason so it gets a little convoluted as to you know how rock solid this proposal by the owners as well just say this the other summer stock Dave about the money in a in a get that but people also have to understand this is about how to right it's about the owners and the players and they always have a baseball battling for power and that is one of the things that is going on behind the scenes yep you can talk a lot about the difference in money and and what the players would get per game you know what the owners are proposing a lot of this is a power struggle as well yeah I just read the tweet that I think kind of offers a an interesting explanation let me read it to you it said MLB's first offered to the union this is back in March included about one billion dollars in regular season mind you and a new and another two hundred million in the postseason the new Whopper basically doubles the amount of postseason money to more than four hundred million dollars however it will be a point should could potential of losing money if there is no post season so that's one of the factors going

O. B. B. E. R. the diaper the diaper okay that was seven one nine a university can be online to still be open for students eleven students in classrooms that's hopefully what cal state plans will be not according to what I read though they said online classes only maybe the lord shall schools maybes the give the council shall stay but cal cal schools haven't said yet now and there's been talk that they would have some classes online some classes in person people that don't know maybe cal state discount the California state system and then there's the university of California system the California state system is twenty six schools like Long Beach state San Jose state cal state Fullerton San Jose state the cal system is is Carol it's UC Irvine UC San Diego UC Santa Barbara UC Santa Cruz there are the more expensive schools there the more desirable schools to go to their little harder to get a lot actually a lot harder to get in but the cal state schools a lot of them are computer schools a lot of them are students that are going even taking night classes because they work during the day yeah so on they could pull it off The New York Times is also saying that they are they will do all the cal state schools will be online in the fall news out Hey before you back full ones from the seven two oh four seven one there are some pretty compelling evidence to include stories from celebrities that Stevie is not blind I'm honestly never heard that never never never heard it been a fan my whole life met the guy sure didn't seem like he he had vision site when I met him yes some blind people can see like when there's light they can but you see shadows yeah so that's what he's talking because they can see images but not yeah I don't think I could be an urban myth John a Denver joins us on KOAA news radio what they've written Kathy what's up John I think we'll take Michael Mahoney show was the one to one concert at New York and August thirtieth nineteen seventy two was hosted by Harold Rivera before tax return and I'll be able to determine yeah right David Warner when he was twenty two when innovations came out and the ground and all that is great yeah right then I met Roberta Flack she came out for an hour and I haven't bought a hell I was and then at midnight with the plastic Ono albums memory bandwidth John one came out and I'm one of the few people I know who seen imagine played live and he said we could actually pass just once and played come together I think Joko release in a couple years ago of the soundtrack so so that's the job for school because I think home schooling in the way of the future but the much money will save thanks a lot I would give thank you John cool first concert I don't think anybody wants to be home schooled no I don't try to do nothing that's the way the future I would say this gosh I'm a big fan Roberta Flack yeah back in the day yeah have a chance to which I would not come away with the idea that I'm bored listening to her she's brilliant but very mellow yeah very no no you got to know that going in I thank killing me softly Masood Abbas yeah who who who should do the duet with Roberta Flack and Donny Donny Hathaway the other brilliant artists for you a kid killed himself unfortunately about not only killing me softly first time ever I saw your face that was really not a like seventy once one of their yeah right in there in huge here really mellow mellow song I could see why if you didn't know she would if she didn't fit into the right lineup of entertainers it would be kind of a bad idea after Stevie Wonder it might mean you know that that's certainly a different a different sound you did what you Love Me tomorrow will you still Love Me tomorrow yeah she had said it was a cover version at number seventy six on the Billboard one hundred I don't remember doing that either this is Clint Eastwood made the song in the movie first I've used the song in the movie first take so I don't know I don't know that number is gonna join us and came away with a bat hi everyone today good good good worker for you guys wanted to know what we're doing I'm a good driver I drive truck will deliver beer for a living are people their first state championship yep yep and I played with Mike Burkhart sure can I get my signal great friend of mine yeah yeah Israel did yeah it was a good quarterback to when we played yeah he's good coach to I can tell you that Matt thanks stay safe out there from seven two OO to seven OO hi I'm a dimmer area police officer off today about to get some long distance slow cardio in outside because the jobs are closed working tomorrow please remind everybody to drive safely I will be writing speeding tickets thankful for a job I love protecting people Bob Lanier is my uncle I'm from buffalo New York current office thank you you know that people are driving like crazy they are right now I got past going seventy on twenty five the other day and it was like a blur I don't know how fast that car was going on but they were going well Hey the way too fast yeah that's nuts right I mean that's that's crazy for sure ten nineteen time Amanda from Douglas county colonising Keighley news radio morning Amanda good morning what do you do I work for our recording recorder and pretend like county so that encompasses a driver's license motor vehicle elections and recording so motor vehicle so the motor vehicle offices of a open yet or no well so it's interesting we're providing services our lobby they're not open to the public so a lot of our came back either being done by phone online we have installed drop boxes so people can come by top up the paperwork they don't have to wait in line if we need them we can call them and if necessary we can set an appointment they can come in and we can take care of them that's great no Amanda millennial question for you yeah Amanda my plates recently expired so what can I do all that online or can I come in with an appointment well I what I would get fired plate and if you jump are you Douglas county are you I'm actually Denver number so here you go on the website there's probably gonna be some information early the contact information I'm not exactly sure how other counties are handling that but one misconduct you know that were closed and we're not there's a lot of things almost everything we can do it or you just drop off the paperwork and will you know take care of the title gives you new plate it's ME tab mail it to you mail anything back that you need back you know title stuff like that and it's done perfect good radio thank you Amanda yeah man that's what you do to essential worker Wednesday so that's an interesting question because I've got a car with expired plates not the one I drive button your car in the garage I need to get up and run I just did mine online and they're already expired and I did not and they sent them to me like ten days later okay yeah they're forgiving there for giving any I'll also use or whatever yeah I've also heard that you have sixty days until after the stay at home order was lifted so that would've been what we could go to sixty days out from there they're not gonna take it it would have expired okay because I'm going to pull you over many different orders of we had home safe at home safe at home save safer at home we're at stay at home now and safer at home okay and then I think I mean we have been through this week but I had a relatively long time ago that that was he he said that there's their stay at home.

"Back eleven forty final segment of the show on Friday morning Dave Rick and Kathy with you thanks again to Bob Costas from MLB network for joining us always a pleasure to talk with Bob if you miss that particular interview you can go to we're gonna go to Bolivia grant what aid grants on the phone yeah we're gonna go to if they missed the interview I just wanna make sure K. O. A. news radio slash login and Louis K. K. O. A. news radio slash login Lou and that's where all of our interviews so if you ever miss any and you want to go back and listen to him or the full show you can find it all there okay I know if you saw the unit probably followed the Kristen Kavallerie Jay Cutler saga they're getting divorced is kind of kind of an ugly if I wanted one I'm not sure I want to admit that I've actually followed it but I have seen a few things online about what's going on and yet does appear to be a tad bit ugly now she's saying that the reason she divorced him is because he's lazy and unmotivated he expected that after football he was going to be a sportscaster which it looked like he was gonna be got offered a big deal get a free TV deal then decided to come back and play another year in the NFL so what happened to that TV deal just not the other way back to the next year well they I mean I'm I'm trying to remember exactly was at ESPN it was a C. B. S. I. it was not ESPN I thought it was a big deal okay it was a network via to be like the third or fourth yeah I mean but those deals don't mean when he said no that that network had to fill that particular role and who knows I can't remember who got it but those things are not just they're not there every single year was a fox yes and I think he got offered a pretty big contract to I remember thinking wow about first of all I thought I didn't even know we had a personality he was joining Kevin Burkart in Charles Davis so it's going to be three members if he does he have a personality you used to get a real money was quarterback here I it is really seen it but is quarterback show every single week I mean I don't I don't know if I'd say he doesn't have a personality he he just at least back then and that that was that you know that was what he was a really young NFL player he didn't I mean that that didn't have interest for him right to do that that show and I I will never forget Dick Enberg again the late great Dick Enberg was one of my favorite by play broadcasters Dick was in town to do a Broncos game and network television folks they have a chance they get and watch the practice of the team on Friday and then they in this case will work through Patrick Smyth and they want to talk to the head coach and probably both coordinators and then dinner two or three three or four different players to help them prepare for the game Dick Enberg who I've never heard say anything negative about in at any time of dealing with him he's doing the game at I'm not sure what the stadium was called is now called the power feel of mile high might of invesco can't remember so I see Dick before the game you know two three hours before the game ed Dick Enberg as we sit and talk brings up the point and says Hey do you do the do you do a show with with color I see I do a weekly show with him because how is he with you so now I'm I'm thinking okay this is Dick frigging Enberg and I'm not gonna lie about it I said listen he can be challenging I don't think he really has too much of a an interest in doing the show he's obligated to do it so I I just try to do the best I can Dick Enberg then said you know what in all the years I've been doing this job I've never had a player come in to a broadcast team meeting and act the way he did Dave he wore his hoodie which is not a big deal he literally laid his head on the table for the majority of our interview well it was more than just slightly wow okay with that that's a lot worse than I thought it was gonna be I yeah I thought he did never prepared anything to say or whatever but I never never knew him I'd not sure if I ever interviewed him but just my impression of him was that he just didn't try very hard in that category of how to be interviewed no I don't think he cared I think I don't know the football was his love that's what I took from it is that some people love the sport love to play do anything for it I don't know if that was him that's how I felt about him so it are you surprised when his wife says he's lazy and unmotivated now based on what no we don't have a not not really no you don't Cutler had a apartment right next to mine yeah he had a house in Parker in an apartment downtown so he could party every night and they used to ring my door about three o'clock in the morning like you do realize what time I have to go to work and they would always ask me for frozen pizzas and frozen pizza from pizza girl right is a code for something yes no it's not but it's like you know they would party on Monday nights because they had Tuesday off our Sunday nights after game and those are the nights that they would party I would say he had a huge personality but he has a good dry personality so he is he's very sarcastic but then when I when Brandon Marshall played with them at the bears his personality was different yeah he's I instead seem like it was opened up it changed you know appreciated people more I think back then when he played in Denver and Brandon says the same thing as color I talk about all the time that we didn't appreciate what we had in Denver you know we're there like we're young and where jobs are certain there's certain things you can do there certain things you cannot do if you're starting quarterback of an NFL franchise and too often he parked his proverbial car in the you're in the lane of these are things I cannot do as a starting quarterback you cannot you if you want to go out and get your drink groove on that that's fine but you got to be smart about it and you got to be in places that are somewhat sequestered in that you have your you can't just let the general public in I mean I've I've seen pictures of J. at times they were taken by people that were at that particular establishment I'm thinking oh my god what what are you doing he's a starting quarterback of the Denver Broncos always at the karaoke bar okay there you go probably with cat yeah he had a similar stance to evidently what he did what he was doing the interview with Dick Enberg yeah you know so and it just I think he is obviously grown up some yeah I'm sure he was very he was way more polite when he played in Chicago a list of what we mean it's it's too bad that the Jay Cutler and Kristin cavalier getting divorced and we're not we're not we're not taking sides here we don't know when she's gone on record as saying that he's lazy and then what else doesn't work for her yes well I mean and I'm sure I'm quite certain he's he's got a couple of ideas with respect to her personality traits that if he decided to share you know she probably wouldn't appreciate either well and I think that maybe after football he's like I just want to hang out for a while I don't wanna do anything except for taking I know that he took his kids to school and pick them up but maybe that's all he wanted to do maybe public Steve joins us on cable news radio morning Steve are you guys doing okay Hey I want to tell you that the last half hour you need to put that some place so that you can listen to it on an opt in basis I was really well done no no no I have been out run and but when I heard he was going to be honest I'll wait run afterwards and I'll tell you what I'm really glad I did way and that being said you also touched on some things that I wish you guys could do it I'm sure and that would be go back and revisit some of I'd say hold down the radio like the G. man how many people in Denver have a clue about what you know maybe bring on an interview with the G. mattered a whole most folks don't even know who he is you know like when when you guys were talking over the last week about trying to get the airbag to go off in the car yeah yeah yeah I mean stuff like that or Steve callin for crying out loud wasn't he the one that sat in every seat in the stadium yep yep yep and then remembered during the was at the Gulf War or he was out swimming and I don't know how many how long he was out now you know stuff like that or when like you do when you sent scooter up to interested in much to the Stanley hotel well I don't know if I sent to me is too big for me to send him anywhere but we did he went there he wanted me to go with him and I was not going to stay overnight at the Stanley hotel I'm just not going to do it and I wouldn't either I'm just not I'm not going now but you know that kind of radio and I go back because I tuned in to carry away when I first moved down here from Ohio after the blizzards in the seventies and I remember Gus Marcus in the morning and gas was just about as is off the wall as anybody I've never forget in August you get that first chilly day and Gus first thing you'd say the summer's over do you want to go hunt down man who was a Tom green was involved red green which one add the one whether yeah he was really good yeah and then of course Lewiston for wax total insanity I think Kathy running naked down the the low dollar let's not forget that let's also get one of my favorite members wrote that thank you Steve that would have been a lot of really cool moments in radio in this town I mean the G. man was doing sports for you guys for many many years and before he started with you he was he was actually my first producer and you know what if he's listening R. E. M. any was worth a damn because he cannot tell you why he's a talented guy but but you know he he got very very bored very bored yeah he wanted to be on the air he didn't want to not produce any should be on there yeah same thing well well G. was are a sports guy yeah on the Lewis simpler work show and when we first got the gig we we wanted to hire a sports guy into we have open tryouts in a bunch of TV guys tried out looting Tom.

"On cable news radio Dave Rick and Kathy with it might hook up the jury duty here in a few minutes maybe in the meantime in Denver joins us in Keighley news radio morning if are you today we're all doing just fine thanks I think one as a forty year teacher in Adams fourteen and Denver public schools over half of the schools are not air conditioned and have awful ventilation system so I would hope that the district that they are going to send the kids back in July are going to reply and then some kind of air circulation systems because if we're all yeah I did that would make sense because obviously July is is very very hot we we we normally start working June from a football standpoint and to get in those school that that school three days a week in and left and you're right there commission is turned off is a tad bit of a challenge they go back to school in August and it's pretty hot in August as it turned off or just doesn't work well I don't know they they turn at the school starts I will turn it on for the yeah that's me maybe and maybe they would oh oh you're saying a lot of lot of the schools you're familiar with don't have air conditioning none of them do it one night what summer school we had to provide our own stand by her own form cooler okay get rid of the day I'll yeah that would be and that's going to be in and thanks so much for your call that that's going to be a big well listen that would be one of the challenges we were faced with with obviously huge challenges and that that's just another challenge if in fact school restarts in July they're talking about that and in California no mention of that here Colorado they did it I did see in your price on this day of two is that they're ending school a couple days early here I didn't see that now yeah so we got a letter that they're ending school I think it's four days earlier than they expected to be online so the virtual virtual yeah school no wonder what what they think it is there and I thought maybe you should send it now cut your losses yeah I don't think it's going well okay from what people are saying this is a lot harder I mean I do with my son and it's the attention span and the things that we do it it's just different right he's not used to learning that way so trying to get him to adapt at that age you know so we're trying our best and I'm sure we're missing lots of assignments yeah it's I think the attention span of a lot of kids will be sorely tested with this home schooling thank I got the gym down do you like to Jim yeah I told you really yes we do yeah we just go out and do stuff with him we pay many Joyner show last week he brought up the fact that he you know he would sit down with his two children at noon and he was the official yeah yeah so I I get that run the music teacher the P. L. A. here when I was getting started in LA what's the overnight shift consist of noon to over I mean that to three it was two to six AM wow yeah while rubber shift that's really over and it was live back then was all live see it's actually sit there it's sleep during the day that be hard did that for about a year but I loved it it was great where you know where to to six AM well I was so excited to be working in Hollywood in a big radio station was my first big radio station yeah and it paid really well you're not just six yeah it was you I'll tell you what it is it's a union radio station a lot of stations in LA R. union and this was in nineteen eighty three the minimum pay was fifty five thousand Bucks that's the least amount of money they could pay you then that's that's even doing the overnight shift for four hours wow so I was like I hit the Lotto news so I was thrilled I was beside myself you could go work during the day come home and sleep and then go to work at night to work during the day but it's a double is aren't you acting then so you're going on decisions by then I was already just to a radio but I was doing some auditions for some TV shows and stuff but no it was great and I think now Dave with inflation and everything I believe the minimum at these LA radio stations is near two hundred thousand Bucks but that'll change yeah but those days are coming to an end yep please right now we've got a chance to to visit with Michael ocean moody and also Lloyd Christian berry to third round draft choices of the Broncos please now to to visit with the first round draft choice to the Broncos former Alabama receiver pick the number fifteen in the first round Jerry Judy Jerry St Logan Rick Lewis and Kathy Lee thanks for the time how you doing man although I have absolutely so yeah I I know you're working out instead the workout down where you are concise with our show how the work out go for you today what what exactly are you doing trying to trying to work out longer actually I don't know who all worked out right now no no all logit work and all moms bundled in Rhinelander J. Britain homework along give inom operate by the so so where do you guys I I I played wide receiver in the league too and I have looked at your I mean a big big college football fan in a look at some of your individual tape then I can I said even before the draft that I thought we mostly college receivers don't have the refined sort of skill set that I see with you you see that develop once you get into the NFL and you realize like listen when I get press I mean it's not going to be like it was in college these dudes are gonna try to lock you up and get their hands on you but where where when did you first start developing your route running ability in in in who who helped you with that hello of course both of those when I was in high school one of my old changes will not bother with the I would choose well at first I was greeted at the beach okay well see when I was a junior almost half of their lives and I have a great group of issues around open on windows details K. have become a better because you know I have bundled up please tell me how to do Sean Burges on Tuesday there's a lot of the other she was knowledgeable Robbie so I we just played the game and then they have to do and how they are I started to learn every day and learn the concept of how to do things I just started to interpret something minor so my place about it added to the mix copyright one today a jury duty was a five star recruit out of high school which is the highest rank you can be a coming out of high school as an athlete from a Florida high school the jury how did you get to Alabama I'm sure there was a lot of pressure on you to go to you know the U. or Florida state someplace like that well the last person absent comedy we will not go anywhere what to wear for liability the best situation for me and not that will be a winner I won two national championships all my women be and a photograph taken off of our coast soon developed a lot of great players and great athletes to come up there tomorrow I would only go to legal go to the process very well enough to let you do a good job and having everybody be well compared to stepping into that role and training and SO and also like delta right leads and once I looked at opening a place of employment to which he was committed at a time of day and open it and I realize he you'll be he was gonna come to play and how to market he said that's another reason why I looked at it to the books on them it makes sense to talk you know pretty good Broncos yep wide receiver Jerry Judy let me ask you mentioned playing for coach say when you want to go to Alabama and play for championships and play with other great players what what would be two or three of the coach Sabin characteristics that you have learned in your time in Alabama with respect to sort of how he runs practice I mean can you can you can you capitalize for audience what it's been like as a player to play for coach Sabin in Tuscaloosa really need to have that what you do is you could you could all achieved every day all trees out personally I do of course it is of course we look to talk there and he never wanted to be complacent so once you start he also said community in this in that you know you all want to work harder to achieve than all of the locals you wanted to be alive so that's another thing another thing is to keep working hard which one all which would be applied just to work on to be the best place to be so that's the big thing about our topicals saving mode I might come out of their lives so they will be complicit in all good car did you just turned twenty one years old like a couple days ago yes Sir well unbelievable twenty one years old first round draft pick so three years a college he didn't redshirt any years of Alabama is that right yes Sir yep and then known as the best route runner in college football and my partner Dave Logan of ten year NFL wide receiver veteran well back in the day and that's we talked about you a lot predraft about what a great route runner you are and that is that something that kind of comes to you naturally or is that something you just really have to work on hello good ball some available on naturally or some some of the pages are worked on the buffalo being that it will be a great problem is one of the biggest key has been a successful there seem to close out the ability to create policies are based in just make it easier for quite a bit to do Paul is more suited to get more yards after catch in deliver the and be able to go their separate afterlife the most important piece that will be a receiver just on how to get open Hey Jennifer let you go is really it was really cool story that we follow don on draft night you lost your your younger sister your little sister and you win when she passed you you dedicated what the rest of of your career would would be like to her for people that may have not seen that story just just briefly tell us about about your family and and your sister in sort of from from a psychological standpoint what that moment was like for you and how it is is driven you to some of the success that you have now achieved okay what the mobile we wish you a wonderful night with a dedicated boxer to be the best option would be to be a successful person in life trying to get those tacos words will work on that date three days and the way she either Wichita law book the she used to go all sure they'd be all I would choose to a wall with R. O. de La Jolla I'm not much I can do that David this turned out but does the doctor the doctor said she was supposed to make it past war because you could build one of the diesel fuel for seven years so we're supposed to have that she did have a little bit of Caesar all issues she passed away from there mmhm yeah that's a that's a touching story for sure Hey Jerry listen we appreciate you taking the time to jump on we'll look forward to as Rick said.

"News radio ninety four one the little seven okay away wrapping up the final hour of our show Logan Lewis Dave Rick and Kathy got a lot of people have just the the text that in the last few minutes yeah we've got a couple of lines at three oh three seven one three eight five eight five from seven to what they've said is one hundred percent true most of us have decent jobs work hard but once that income is shut down that's it we don't have a bunch of money in the bank maybe some but certainly not enough to last long at all and most people don't have that it's not wrong but it's how it is then from the nine seven oh Rick my daughter Kathy my daughter want to spin a birthday in June at the beach and I look everyday about canceling a rebooking but I don't know when would be better it's a tough decision and I guess it depends on which beach number one and if you can drive there over fly there yeah I did I just buy some say and put it back yard follows little pools and fill it up and say here honey there you go here's your trip how about this one from the seven to they can pipe in fan noise for the football games via zoom or Skype over the stadium speakers when I kind of you know what I think they I think they may do that on the home team Kim hi pin no noise and noise yeah why not what does the Broncos pipe in music and noise for their practices so they yeah yeah that's so I hadn't thought about that but I think that's probably not really a good idea I think that probably would happen otherwise you do otherwise from a TV standpoint in radio to we have we have to big boom mikes a big dish Mike's they catch a lot of sound in the game but fortunately the crowd was so loud at times that you the audience are unable to hear exactly what is talked about on the field if there was nobody in the stands in a real NFL game and you can hear everything all I'm not sure if the FCC has enough money to stay in business but if they did we'd be out of business you are the dump button the whole time think about that but you're right you're right they're gonna have to do something the mask yes the stop that sat on the field in it's so easy to pipe in noise over the stadium speakers and it would make the games at least listening or watching did it make him feel like a real normal game yeah home teams get to control it I don't I as a fan I don't think I would like that at all because you know it's all simulated I mean part of the feeling when you're in a stadium like that are home watching as the real feeling of all these people coming together and cheering for the home team so personally for me I think knowing that it was simulated or fake I think they faced backlash from fans but I think you get used to it just like a laugh track on a sitcom that's true a matter of weeks images yeah you get your commonplace so easily persuaded Grand Hotel you know it's fake laugh but it's that's what's that it doesn't make it funny though what about the people who work the stadium though every game that's an issue yep that's a huge issue fortunately I mean you're not going to make the normal money they would make the price of the security guards but you wouldn't have the ushers and the food people yeah maybe we could have people come to the game in the parking lots and just sit there sit and listen to the games that we can have the vendors walking through the parking lot that stay in your car what what Dave would be better I mean you at least to get out of the house and you're at the stadium but you can't really see the game you don't have to listen to the game the P. or yeah or you could literally came and have a the big screen you know big screen each quadrant the party set up in the listen on the radio that's not a bad.

"Dave Rick and Kathy with you we're talkin a little bit about the Superbowl and George Strait Super Bowl in George Strait two things that go out to get me out straight could do the half time could see the league is always he could absolutely good but the league is always trying to attract a younger demographic thus the show we saw on Sunday then the some people didn't like it I I get it I understand it didn't didn't bother me I could have done without the pole of but I enjoyed the the lead music and you know it wasn't Miami the dancing for sure decide or you know do Snyder is yes was due to start he commented about the half time show he wrote on Twitter so Paul humping and eighty slapping N. H. shaking if that's the requirements for a halftime show none of the rock bands I know can or will do that he said I went on to say they made such a powerful statement for women's equality I think that was tongue in cheek you for it yeah I think the way I took it and he said my point about this year's NFL halftime show is is is is in a slight on secure or jail it's frustration that week after week rock is the go to music during games but gets no respect when it comes to the Superbowl and I don't think I'm popular enough for that slot he thinks ACDC would be a great choice and thinks that fair to start a petition but they them at halftime actually he absolutely is right that is not popular enough for the spot no he was with her sister will never have time no never never you can mix them in with somebody though like a day they had like an eighties the halftime show with a motley Crue little clearer and like twisted easier may be cheaper for the NFL to go back though it's going to have to be somebody that has extraordinary drawing power something like the rolling stones or something answer Garth Brooks Baker or def leopard who just sold a million see I don't think I don't think mom the crew or Def Leppard either one I think it makes sense I mean like they've done in the past where they did Bruno Mars in the chili peppers but again that attracts the younger right me chili peppers not not so much but Bruno Mars for sure yet so that some say you have to do what they did Errol Smith with these pairs are you know like what I'm saying that they mix genres of music the green green day wants to make yeah I can do that without a big fan okay see ACDC though if you had a CDC the neighbor brought a hip hop do doubt that kinda wrapped you know through you know a couple bars with ACDC that way you're covered that genre in ACDC so you like you know what you could put a card he be with easy these ACDC crosses over I think a lot of how bout that combination Casey DC mark is the perfect all I'm saying are you could throw Liz though with the CDC maybe I'd be awesome like when should I twenty did it she did it would no doubt in state so in two thousand three was when they did they make their mixing the job as a different types of music you know ratings one up for the first time in five years at the halftime show the first for the game okay in general I I I did would be ready within the halftime show okay good yeah I thought so that over a hundred million people don't think that's because you had two teams that hadn't been there forever and then it was just exciting that they both were there yeah I mean maybe not I mean to me I would always was a good man I would always think the the Superbowl would be be a big big deal but it the ratings were up significantly this year did you see the Jay Z. and Beyonce so he didn't stand for the anthem which they didn't show on the game I didn't learn that to the after the game but the the I think the most interesting thing about that is I'm hearing that Jay Z. and Beyonce they wanted to do the halftime show in the NFL said no JZ also works for the NFL Jay Z. got signed on roc nation right to help with the entertainment and diversity in this and that and they didn't stand for the anthem which I'm sure the NFL wasn't too thrilled with we'll see how long GZ has that job but what we heard is that Jay Z. and Beyonce they wanted to do the halftime show which Beyonce is already done yeah a couple times yeah she did with Bruno Mars right she did it would destiny's child one time and then she did it with Bruno Mars and Coldplay wait wait for Super Bowl fifty when the Broncos what it does it say Beyonce say Coldplay Bruno Mars all came out play given that remember they were the main one now they are the main the he started you member that yeah they were very good yeah no coal play was the main one with Bruno Mars and beyond so yeah now I was doing my plate that was lame to our right now that one they were not no no when it changed there yeah I just laid there one good huh three oh three seven three eight five eight five is our number one other thing a day back to Kyle Shanahan and some of the decisions he made in the fourth quarter here's an article that points out Kyle surely has coached into super bowls one is the offensive coordinator for the falcons one as the head coach of the Niners in the fourth quarter of those two games his teams have been outscored forty six to nothing twenty five nothing against the patriots in seventeen and twenty one to nothing Sunday against the chiefs forty six zero in the fourth quarter for Kyle Shanahan teams last night because I I'm com oh did catch a lot a lot of flak for the the falcons meltdown in that Superbowl and we discussed earlier about this latest one he is getting some criticism for some of the decisions that he made in the game are you defended them on a couple you thought he well okay now listen I mean it's football ZZ scam the world's second gas but I laugh I mean literally laugh out loud when I hear people when I yesterday flew in got in mid afternoon was listening to a show and guys that I respect take issue with the play call after the chiefs cut the lead to twenty to seventy they run on first down in there three was well they should run on second and third down to get a first down listen to go back and look at the plate design that George kill is one wide open the ball got deflected at the line of scrimmage I have no issue whatsoever with the second down play call good play call ball got deflected we find a window to throw through the arms I mean I don't know that's not to play call that but now third down all right retrospectively now be one of them I I agree I he's in the pocket I never have liked him in the pocket not not really so I would have liked on third and five again hindsight being twenty twenty due to move the pocket I mean honestly I want I'm thinking to myself as I do this with every game okay what what I call here I'm trying to get the ball to nineteen on third down to five and I your best played a nineteen wasn't thrown it to win it was split between on the end around they had really good success early in the game the most angels your most explosive player on offense so you know again hindsight is easy to sit back after the fact is they will gosh I would have done this you don't know what you would have done including me if you had a head set on it do you know at that point the game you're doing what you think you should do in order to give your team the best chance to win but hindsight I would have had him in the pocket on third down and five then the last drive I mean I picked the score I love the game to be sever Cisco twenty eight Kansas city twenty four so I'm thinking we're going under I went under okay good I said all right under was the play and I'm thinking you know if Sam Cisco drive down scores the game is gonna end probably twenty seven twenty four and they got the ball to mid feel first down you dial up a play I mean stop and think about this how many people that are taking umbrage with the place selection of cow Shanahan would say nothing if Jimmy Garoppolo completes a wide open post route to Emmanuel Sanders I mean by NFL standards that is a wide open front do you have to make that throw he did make throw so that's what happens in interestingly enough I I had I like the under as well and I liked the the chief I thought the team to win by double digits which they did I didn't see him winning it that way you can't claim that as as to what the hell's going on your going to claim because they score late no I I said I didn't see them winning by double digits the way they did but as you remember I said the chiefs by double gate here's here's user I wouldn't be so your idea it would be good if you just to say listen I got lucky as hell I won the bet but I had the wrong key because you know you have the wrong team at the seven minute mark you're sitting there thinking holy hell I've got the wrong you're going wrestle you in a mud not at a point day because I thought it twenty to ten they could at least tie the game though you did and go over time didn't no you look at my my Twitter thread Dave install it here's another interesting thing Mister Logan so I had the right team but congratulations to Kansas city sometimes you know what the right team here's the way off the bat here's the deal you have why did I did lose the bet I did lose a bet I pick save for Cisco and under right but I will tell you this I feel great it's a seven minute mark it's kinda like those people when the Seattle Seahawks in the New England Patriots played that bad Seattle you know what you probably are the right team they threw the ball the one yard line to me who does that right you probably so who the guys who bet New England cashed in but you have the wrong team here's what I feel like I have the right team which by the way did I won the pac the reason I feel like that is all the things we talked about last week I didn't believe in Jimmy G. turns out I was right you're right on that and I thought my homes was too good to bet against turns out I was right both of those things happened in the last seven minutes Jimmy G. miss wide open throws them homes made him true on both okay so that's why I feel like I was on the right side what but I'm here to help you as your friend you can feel like that but you got lucky you won the bet but you have not already so but make okay but here's the other thing Mister Logan sports books were the big winners software for Bob that as you probably know you were out there the book maker saw their best year since two thousand eight while the Superbowl I didn't know that at the opening of wagering it was the over under was set at fifty one but groups was much as fifty five settled that fifty three and the game went under yeah as you said sold everybody everybody all the money was going down over.

"Lou from Littleton filling in this week and next for login and Lewis I'm filling in for Dave Rick and Kathy they will be back January second you heard David wreck on the broadcast yesterday which Susie wards and the and the Denver Broncos after that Philip Lindsey score ended up taking the lead on the extra point twenty seven seventeen and never relinquished at we have a full show for you today and we will talk to the head coach of the Denver Broncos Vic Fangio we are less than forty eight hours from Christmas the new year is right around the corner the new year brings renewed hope and hope is the word I thought of yesterday when I watched the Denver Broncos the Broncos are six and five after all in for start they were left for dead everybody thought we had the wrong coach we had the wrong quarterback everything was a mass Denver was a bowling for that loss to the raiders on Monday night in the old plan and they just kept losing close games and it was it wasn't pretty in fact a lot of people were saying when is this thing gonna and they lost plan then they lost to the bears on that last second field goal went to Green Bay and lost lost at home to Jacksonville and the Broncos were sitting at all when for since that own for start Denver is six and five they are three in one in the month of December and they truly seem to like playing together I see a camaraderie on this team which is very very refreshing I see a quarterback in number three drew lock he is a breath of fresh air seems to be very comfortable with who we as he's wow that's the twenty three twenty two years old doesn't seems rabbit doesn't seem rattled seems to feel comfortable in the pocket seems to be comfortable in front of the TV cameras the microphone he seems to have an outstanding personality which I think is key when you are a quarterback of a football team in the National Football League he has leadership skills and most importantly he can play little worried early yesterday with the Broncos and and I will tell you in most cases of five and nine team doesn't merit a lot of air time as far as sitting there listening to it on the radio or watching the game on TV but this team because of what they have done under drew lock winning two out of three and it just the way that they've gotten better as I mentioned there three in one in December they got off to a slow start I was worried yesterday about this slow start because I was worried about the game you know they had just come off four out of their last five on the road they were at Minnesota blew a twenty point lead there were at buffalo they got blown out beat the Chargers in drew locks first game went to Houston one in a game that Houston was totally unprepared to play but Denver still one and then they went to Kansas city last week in the snow so they had played Minnesota playoff team buffalo playoff team Houston playoff team Kansas city playoff team all on the road and then the plane the lonely lions in all eight point underdogs everybody's talking about how the lions are terrible walls son the lines to pretend nothing lead Denver punted the ball the first three times they had which led to the ten nothing lions late and then the Broncos scored on their next five possessions the next five times they touch the ball the Broncos scored they had twenty five first downs they held the ball for over thirty six minutes they rushed for a hundred and fifty yards three of their four sacks were in the first half and as I mentioned they scored after there it would they scored five possessions in a row so lot of hope that's what the word I thought of and with new year is around the corner Christmas here hope is something that came to mind when I watched the Broncos yesterday against light Philip Lenzi happy for Philip Lenzi he's forty two yard short from another one thousand yard season and when he gets those yards he'll be the first Bronco to get a thousand yards in back to back seasons since Clinton Portis in two thousand two and two thousand three Phillip wins the undrafted now you thought the Bronco uniforms for loud yesterday did you see Philip Lindsey's jacket in the post game press conference that was louder than the uniform so we'll talk to Mike Klis about that at ten OO five coming up at ten thirty five this morning we will talk to the head coach of the Denver Broncos Vic Fangio and I've never talked to him before so I'm really excited to do that and also I thought yesterday that the Broncos offense they had some creative plays on offense in key situations so check this out Broncos are down seventeen thirteen facing fourth in one from midfield through lock hands off the ball to the fullback Andrew back on fourth and one he then that pitches that they called it a pass to Philip Lindsay who ends up going six yards the Broncos get the first down keep the drive alive on that same drive now we're in the fourth quarter headed towards the south ends up first and goal from the three walked fakes a handoff did Lynsey and then D. Shaun Hamilton gets the shuttle pass for the winning touchdown and I thought those were two very very very creative place by the Denver Broncos they have a lot of them they they executed while I thought they gave the line yet they they took what the lions would give them the lines basically were totally shut down in the second half by Denver Denver seem to really dominate every phase after they got up ten nothing now the lions are decimated they started two two one one I believe and they've lost eight straight three one on one they stay started three one and one right they tied Arizona they went three one on one and now what are they three eleven and one at three twelve and one so yeah they've lost what nine in a row yeah they're three eleven and one right because they got one more game left yes you're against Green Bay but yesterday the lions they ran the ball twenty one times for ninety five yards there were twelve of twenty four passing the ball not a very good performance but give it up for the Denver defense somewhat when I noticed too after the game listening to my crisis and and the hearing all the post game information how sick the team was the Broncos were sick guys were throwing up the flu was going around even the drew lock had a bottle of nyquil as he was leaving the stadium last night don't rise near the name playing the second half right because he was so sick so the Broncos have given me hope this season that the future is bright we have the right quarterback that we can build with and now the Broncos have to figure out how to catch Kansas city and get the division title back just like the new year the future is bright for the Denver Broncos love to get your thoughts it's three zero three seven one three eight five eight five I mentioned earlier were less than forty eight hours from Christmas Richard house who is the regional director for error mark but more importantly oversees the.

"The coldest temperatures you've ever been at Janice lives here and lived in Arizona. So she said she can compare the two, Janice. Hi. Hey, yeah. I actually I was raised here. In aurora. I'm an air force brat. And then in two thousand my family moved to Mesa Arizona. We left the end of may of two thousand and I think it was like eighty two degrees when we left we drove straight through to Mesa Arizona until June. First two thousand one hundred and twenty degrees when we got out of the car really just all got back in. Happening. Unusual down there. I think one Twenty-one is the record. So you must have at maybe you caught it during the record. Would you rather live here or an Arizona? You know, I've been back for two years. And I I mean, I moved back for the mountains for the snow and everything. But yeah, this is brutal. The last few weeks. Few weeks with the snowstorm every two three days is not ideal. Yeah. But we don't typically get like the really bitter cold year in Denver. We're going to be nine degrees tonight. But thanks, Janice. You know, where you're twenty below zero. I don't remember that ever happening here since I've been living here. I feel like I remember us probably my mid twenty s I remember being downtown, and it was like fifteen below zero. Yeah. Kirby normally speaking if it gets to zero here in Denver. It's really cold. Right. And we don't we don't get that not not not very much wants a winner. It seems like we have that two three days where it's below zero. But but yeah. So what did you say it's supposed to get this week? It's not supposed to be below zero. You know, we're going to be nine degrees tonight. And then we're just going to have kind of an average average temperatures. Yeah. During the week. We're good. But the the rest of the mid west is brutally cold record lows dangerously cold, weather, Glenn. Hi, you're on KOA. Hi, hi. Making a comment old guys? Kathy lee. And Dave Rick. Hi. I spent four years in the navy in the first place. I went to was digger in the Indian Ocean. Four degrees, south of the quarter. Okay. Normal hundred twenty two sixty eight spent several times. Hundred and fifty two hundred sixty category. Wow. And then three months later. My CB battalion went to the end, and I was spent to summer seasons down near building the south pole station..
