"At this point he responded to it but at this point weird and this bond about shit. Yeah the ball apparently was desegregated. I guess back in the sixties they were like. This isn't a racist thing more. Anybody can do it. Jus can do it. people can do it. And that's basically all they said like. Wow still it was like all white people but dead jude and blackmail ever actually so. They said that they would do it. But did they know and she hasn't responded and like you said there's the rub by bitch you gotta say something like ninety nine so you weren't you were an adult technically by law. We have a nineteen year old dumb that no way and feeling it'd be a sufficient response if she just said funding something. If you live in a place like fat like and you're white you probably are very now named all like the puck in like really. Don't get it for a while until you leave or you know like but but clearly she I don't know doesn't care to respond exactly nonstop craziness of it but also yeah veiled. Prophet ball sounds creepy. Why would you be. That sounds like some weird lake. Mormon off-shoot yeah polygamy type shit like like a child bride banks hi veiled. Yeah the profit that's a. He's a prophet of christ. Fuck their that's usually always not as you were saying now. Okay pro pro fast. Making money off. Avails they're making. They have these young girls sewing veils into the wee hours of the morning. And then my last story is light hearted. It's fun tyco. Ytd and rita ora hand. Like a an. What's her name restaurant. Tessa tom i think that's thomson takeaway. Td rita ora were photocopied photographed. Doing a three way. Make out along. But now margaret was like hey takeaway td shame shame. Shame and i'm like okay. Like morals directs like the guardians of galaxies. Like other that door ragnarok. And jesus like the hottest sex life possible. It's reto ornaments. Nothing now have orgies. Like i'm sorry. They definitely have orgies like have they seen tyco way. Td tessa thompson. They're all very high high all kissing each other at the same time this let him live is this hollywood's first ripple or i don't even think it's a couple were kissing. I think it was just fun. Times a new camera. Madonna shit they were like. Wouldn't it be funny if everybody thought we were all like. You know fucking probably. That's what i want to. Yeah they were like. Let's give these people something. Let's talk about their sex tape loop. But then courtney love to come in and fucking ruined. She's just mad that she didn't think of the sex tape thing i could. You imagine if their kurt. And courtney sex tape. I don't even know nights. He might still be alive today if there was a curtain listening dan. Oh my god. But that's you know. I have other news stories. But those were basically the best. I could talk about the reboot of ben affleck and jennifer lopez's relationship all day. But that could be a whole other podcast about that. We got into a little bit in their last one too. But i'm just like man. This is awesome. Like the world really started going downhill when they broke up and now they're back together. What if things are looking up. What if ben in jaylo benefactor or jeonju as. They're calling them now. Change him in is the real in their break-up set everything into like. Oh beard retrograde. Wait a minute wait wait wait no. No one cosby affleck. Benjamin why is it ginger. Men what. In the in the word benford jennifer is the dominant and it has letters of that and then just has one letter and then they he shared yes so better than everything else feminine. Let's face it. Jennifer lopez has gotta be richer them. Ben affleck oh yes big day. Yes yes. Yeah she does shows. She was at the super bowl. Yeah right yeah yes yes. She did and her. New year's eve performance was the most pandering ridiculous thing i've ever seen so i know she made money off that because she was just like everybody. I know this past year has been hard for so watch me shake my ass. It's one of my favorite. Because she was so out of breath in. Like i love it. That's my news before we move on from the trashy news. The inauguration at the inauguration loud and then everybody was like ole dot lopez. i believe. So why are you making the the inauguration loud and she's like that's what they probably here for Before we move on from tragedies news. I will say that i did. I do have a friend who not a friend. Someone that i worked with. And they fully believe that When you get offered to perform at the super bowl that's hollywood like basically kind of saying. Hey you're in now so you gotta be our puppet and do this links like a devil type thing like a looming nadi. He used the end she.

"Was like my first celebrity crush. That wasn't a teenage boy with like no body hair. You know the and lily. James looks fucking amazing. Hamlet that because my favorite part of the story is actually not the actual story movie. It's the response from courtney. love rain. Love responded in a long tweet About how it's fucking outrageous She basically thinks that That movie coming out is going to force pam to relive some trauma in her past when pam herself has said. She doesn't even care about it anymore. She's like whatever. Yeah courtney she the best part was courtney ended it by saying i'm just gonna read quote. She says my heart goes out to pammy further causing her complex trauma and shame on lily. Jayme whoever the fuck she is. That's what she said at the end of it like shade. Maybe courtney love was having withdrawal from from whatever. Yeah rug that she has been taking courtney. Love is just trying anything to stay relevant through all. It sucks because she's been right about a couple things but then we can't forget like just all the other shit she's done but yeah she definitely was trying to warn people about harvey weinstein way before anybody else and i feel like that might have to deal with a lot of her addiction. Yeah yeah running this kind of wrong and go after the actress. She's an actress gonna make so much money aac. She's just doing and i guess they. I guess the anger and the outrageous. Because they're actually going to re not reenact you sexy and itself because it's not a porno but they're going to have that in the movie. Of course that whole chapter. Yeah damn dude. Okay i asked if like twenty how many well go through briefly. I'm just i'm just. I'm just asking him. I just wanna let everybody know that. Lindsay lowe hands returning to acting john lindsay lohan is going to be in a net flicks. Christmas romcom when you said acting literally it did nothing for me. Nothing happened inside well. did you hear that. It's like holiday rom com yet even further. Don't i crazy watch. The well actually have a friend who worked on the set of liz and dick. The last monday she did about liz taylor and he wasn't a good no he was an extra on the set and he said that they were waiting around for her one day for like two and a half hours out of nowhere. This fucking like convertible screeched up to said she got out and was just like i can't filmed. I can't film right now. I can't fill our god. Yeah in an They had to try to convince a film and then she just got back in the car and they sped off at my friends still got paid as work sites. Good for him yeah. He was very about what she was doing. Maybe she's like. I'm going to make sure all these poor extras extra money. Yeah for doing nothing. Enjoy wasting their day hero also also fucking jackass director. Jeff tremaine had a restraining order against bam. Our jira shit. Oh yeah. I read that because bama jira got kicked out of jackass for because he couldn't stay sober and stevo can stay sober again. Bring it back to stevo if stevo can stay sober and say that five times fast then bam marge era. Should've tried stevo. Steven was deep in. He's sober now like bam get your shit together. And he was threatening. Jeff trains children's lives and so jeff tremaine was like dude. What the fuck like a restraining order so lapped on ban and it's a pretty sad story all the way around because now bam merger is apparently calling a bunch of people like managers and lawyers. And he's like just talking in numbers now and a lot of it like start off like saying like some crazy shit in english and then he'll just be like zero zero one three five zero two three three three. Okay literally numbers literally numbers okay. So that's upsetting. I think that if the sapper. I think if he wanted to because he was a pretty decent skater back in india i believe if he got sober and what he could probably like. Just do that are. I don't know how odious now. I don't know what the age gap isn't heaters league and been dealing ant though my thing and i don't even think was ever like an amazing skater. I think he just hung out with a lot of like no. That's what i'm saying. I think he was like decent but if he paid sober and like worked on that he could have had that as a backup and still be doing that. You know. I don't know. I just yeah. I'm just worried about the guy. I'll ended on a positive known. Saw you this story. I elliott kemper has been having in my head. She's the redhead from the office. She's in she's a secretary pam. Got from moded. I think get sale. Okay he was on unbreakable kimmy schmidt and it's just come to the public's attention that she was named the queen of the veiled prophet ball which is one of those like debutante balls but it has its beginnings tied with white supremacists baby so it started out as like kkk adjacent organizations. That terms like we're not we're kkk adjacent technically involved in the kkk. We're pussies didn't want to be outed as kkk members. So they had to make. It seem like it was just a fun. So you rich. White people thing In saint louis and it has been going on since seventy eight And her parents were super fucking rich. Apparently involved in all of these like companies and corporations and stuff and she would there's pictures of her and people are calling her the kkk queen. Now and i don't know what do you think about it. Because i don't really know because apparently like.

Jawed to get the billie joe armstrong of it all Dookie of it all is he american. Yeah he's from berkeley shit. He does like a steeper california surfer. Well he doesn't sing like the guy from delinquent aides who when he gets british sometimes like reddish. She's a no but they don't reared weird. There's disturbing type of punk that. I think it's because like like irish bands like the pogues. They like listen to the owed on like it. I like to sing like that. Because it's just like i don't. I don't even care that. I'm singing this song you know and i'm sitting at jam bruno and i actually do care that i sing those songs. Now she too much works a lot. She works hard on her voice. she does. She does vocal warm ups before we start recording. Wow so this is serious anyway spears. This is trash this week. We haven't done. We haven't done trivia awhile when haven't done songs in nevada. I think we're going to bring those back soon. I've kind of been missing that stuff but yeah we don't have any trivia this week. I didn't really I'll be honest because we had a. We have a new kitten in our house sweetie kitten. She's a little. She's in a room right now and her little because she's kept whining and she was like scratchy. Scratch series i to. She's little bitch right now. Name is barbara and we love her. And she goes sh leo. Our other cat is a lot more interested in her than i think she is in him. I think she just wants to run around and be crazy but he like history or a couple of times and growled a couple times. But now i think he's just kind of like accepted that she's here and she's hit him and he fucking freaked out and ran away and went and hid and he's like eight years old and fourteen pounds. He ruined. yeah now. Now she's the alpha. He sucked up efforts now. But i think he's he's cool now until we let her roam around and then she starts getting to his shit and then he probably would have a problem again. You know those fairmount plug ins to try. And i don't know if it doesn't farming smells or whatever for cats i don't know anyway. Give her talking for like the last two minutes or three minutes or whatever. So i guess we just introduce our guests She just came back from the idaho. Comedy festival you for benson. You're gonna say bay area comic. Are you still in the bay area. Right i am. I'm in livermore right now. Oh fuck yeah okay. Yeah where are you guys at his hayward cash valley. Yeah we're far away for me then. It's weird because sometimes when we put in like our gps location. It'll say he word in sometimes. It'll say castro valley enemies and haters out there so we also maybe live in oakland or san francisco. Who knows i i dunno. I think anybody that says that they have haters are delusional. His i only see like people from real housewives just being like on twitter just like yeah into all my haters and i just like ignore the haters and like if you have your and then sometimes it's like super well-deserved were only occasionally on meet somebody that i'm like i get why you have haters. You know so. I get that with me. Thanks i guess yeah this is complemented haters are kind of a good thing sometimes but you know i mean. The nice thing about having haters is usually means. There's people that are jealous of you or you're getting enough attention to piss people which isn't necessarily bad. i guess just definition. I definitely don't have haters. Probably right now But i guess yes doing a podcast about reality shows by i. Guess the hater topic. Yeah i bet if any of the people that we do our episodes about ever listen to this day would hate us because there's a lot of people we talked to. Your big red would hate us Even though he gave you a cameo or someone got you a cameo. Someone got me a cameo from big ads from ninety day. Fiance's for my birthday which i didn't ask it was cool. I can see those that if we were to get a cameo from anyone from ninety day we would want it to be from dursey. I'd want to be drunk darcy. Sorry everybody do you watch we speaking spanish right now I don't watch that much reality. Tv which is why. I picked inca master. 'cause it's like no one reality show that i've watched recently. Nice now. fuck yeah. By the way we did watch ink master ink master or inc masters. It's star. okay. I was gonna ask you like is it just because you wash the recently are you. Do you have like a like a thing for tattoos or like. Why why i. I like tattoos. Because i like arch. I've never ever got one and never pulled the trigger on one. When i was younger when i was in high school. I always wanted one. And i would get like catchy magazines all the times before the internet and And and then. I just sort of forgot about them in and you know just like and then i wanted to be an actress and they were always like you shouldn't get tattoos. If you're an ad was just stupid you cover. That kept me from getting tattoos for a long time was that i did ballet and i wanted to be an actress and then i thought like while never get cast if they think they have to use music up to cover up my tattoo we were. I was in theater school. We did a like this in reeve and managing of shakespeare production as every theater school. Does it was advocate. And one of the leads. She has a hello kitty tattoo on the back of her neck and the director loved it. He's like no like. I don't want you guys to cover up your modern tattooed like everybody knows. This isn't the fucking time period. Like whatever like we're going to have fun with this and then we got so many comments from these old people who were are like donors and like what are they. Call them gold star theater goer people who were just play. Yeah yes it's just like. Oh why wouldn't you just cover up the.

1996 Interview With Flea Of The Red Hot Chili Peppers

"I. I'm fine thank you. How are you want to start off by asking is strange to think of yourself as an arena band. No not really. I mean because we've worked for so long to get to this point where we're playing arenas spent so many years. Starting in this lawless little clubs were way up to mega domes and It's been a very gradual thing so it hasn't been like all of a sudden opinions. Bq jelena's like this for so many bands. Were working in for us. So it's not i mean. Are you glad that you worked your way up that way. I felt good about where at how we got at. I feel like that we've worked hard and we have a good understanding of what it is to be where we are understand the value of work. Can we understand the value of discipline and understand that the fruits of creativity feel like this is the best lineup since the first lineup of the band. I can't say that now. I think this is an expert lineup. That i think would different than any other lineup and i think we are smoking but I think that the john fashanu lineup. This very amazing. And i think that the original is really strong and misdee- initial impetus further suspend. It's hard to compare them. You know they're all hello. John fashanu dave navarro very different people very different ideas and very different ways of expressing themselves. I think this is a great one. If i didn't feel it was clear them. Smoking banned in the world. I wouldn't be out here playing. Arenas was it a goal to get to this level I kinda like often some foggy distance. Perhaps all the player is no. But i more thought of like playing there was a place called in los angeles. This computer called perkins palace. I think it holds about fifteen hundred or two thousand people. And i see parents down. I thank god that was my biggest goal palace that was always thought we make it like the perkins palace. That would be like my dream. Come true the greatest thing in my life. Us kind of clips. That haven't you. We could do that. You know obviously power. You can make enough money to paint event and have another job. You're doing real good chat and I think it was in the rolling stone piece refers to this as a new band with new priorities. Is that the way you see it to I don't know my priorities aren't any different. I don't know what he's talking about the new band. Dave definitely has different priorities in his life than anyone else has never been in. This band has narrowed personal satisfaction. What made you pick up a piece when you originally started playing bass. Hello slovak said to me We've bass player in my band wheel and the world. Yeah that's that's how. I think most bass players start out here. The band needs a bass player and And and there you go. Yeah i guess so. Yeah and did you become as great at as you are by just just constant practice and or mean. Ross run economy. Great thank you. I do i want to call you. Thank you very much. I i developed my style on the base by just trying and by listening to music that i like listening to a wide variety of different musics and trying to understand different feelings as music in lots of different types of music and just being myself not trying to be anyone else and by a really loving firstly. I think you know just truly loving nothing you hills strings. Nothing feels when i get inside. Someone's kicked

"And that guy went hard. I mean we. I went but he went hard and and like so he the the difference to me was like he would. We would be seeing ghosts. You're up for eleven days. Do you start to elucidate literally. Not sleep for eleven days are here. Can't you die after like three. I don't i. I didn't But i had. I had a supplement to keep me away. Oh my god you guys are fucking crazy so scott. The difference mean scott was scott would be tude. This house has coast. Senator looking at right now and i'm like that's me on no drugs. I'm like i know but you're just seeing them because you're on drugs. Like i knew the difference like he would get spooked by am whereas i would see him and no. That's a hallucination. From drugs he went one step beyond where it was like He was seeing. We were both one night. Seeing we spent time with our current friends from their future ghosts. So like for instance. If i went home tonight and got into that behavior and talk to your ghost after you die fucking fifty sixty years from now. I come in to come back. But you're still alive in the real plane like those are the places we don't you kinda part of you think that maybe these drugs have enabled you to actually see what is really happening or do you feel like it was just the drugs now. I think the enabled me to have a fast track to find a goddamn solution. Yeah you know what i mean like meaning had i not gotten into my drug addiction. I would never been turned onto anything to help with it. Which means i would have lost all those tools of coping. I would have lost the support. That i have now. I would probably be a totally different person. So the drugs led me to self healing In a strange way i survived the process. Some people don't survive it Which is why. I think it's really important that people seek out there self-healing now so they don't have to go through what we've gone through In order to get the same thing go to the same place. You don't have to kill yourself or come close to dying to find the the light and i enter the tunnel. You know what i mean. It's just it's a waste of time. Yeah what are you. What advice do you have won't keep you much longer. But what advice do you have to anyone. That's struggling with addiction right now and feels hopeless and feels like stuck in that cycle with. I mean there's there's so much right. Now with the kobe lockdowns and stuff there are so many zoom meetings and they are twelve step oriented and you just do a random search islet absolutely advised that because and i don't care what twelve step group it is or even if it's just a process group or even if it's just finding therapists that you can facetime with Professional help is out there. They're all working. They're all doing it with the with the digital technology which is one great aspect of it and So i do. I do three three groups a week. Rally there like an hour each. And we check in and it establishes Relationships it establishes a connections with people who who are struggling. So you don't feel alone there's laughter there's community antic their structure within the week so it used to be. I didn't know what day it was. Because we're in this lockdown like who gives a fuck with day it is right. It's the same day while now. I know where. I have to be monday wednesday and friday and so having that structure in place is also a great gift because it takes me out of my own head. That's running the show. Most of the time you know that our homeless are struggling right now wrapped up. I mean whether it be like depression anxiety. Whatever i know there are online meetings for pretty much everything for everything and there are support line. And even if it's calling your best friend. And saying i never told you this and i really need to get this off my chest. You will feel better you do. I mean you have to talk about it. I try to keep my grief bank empty. You know means crying out or talking out or whatever you know you have to. You have to keep it empty. Otherwise it's full on builds up. And i mean if you if you and i can sit here and talk about this stuff is openly as we have to as many people who watch you i mean which is millions you know and be comfortable cool about it and feel like proud of it like yeah man. We're fucking survivors. Not gonna let. I'm not gonna let some drug addiction or some dark thaad or some loss of a girl or some whatever like ruined the gift that i've been given you know and i refuse digest about that I mean thinking about. I mentioned chris earlier and i went to chris. Cornell's funeral or chester bennington saying four chris cornell and then a month later. I'm sitting at chester zero a month later. I mean like these. It doesn't have to go that way. And these were two of the most gracious loving nicest guys chester would fucking show up before the crew and he would leave after they fucking closed the venue like he was a dedicated diehard. I've never seen anybody work with that ethic before Scott was a fucking sweetheart chris. Chris and i used to do. We used during twelve step panels when we did lollapalooza. So obviously of and jane's addiction ryan thing and during the day we reach out to rehab facilities and say. Hey bring bring.

I wouldn't recommend driving car home but come home and There's no there's no magical like a ha moment like everything's better. Yeah because this is working on a neurological level. So with that kind of treatment you have to go multiple times there's sessions and there's an ethic and there's integration which is really really important part of it which is discussing with either team or the doctor whoever what came up with you through that journey how that how that applies to your life and what about that you can change with love. That's what we look for. You know on. So how many times have you done a man. I don't even know like a lot. Oh yeah okay so do you feel like the you that when you started versus you now you see a big change. It's hard to say. Because when i started i was in crisis you know i had a big crisis happening in my life so it was very hard to weigh any benefits of anything. I was doing because once i came back just back in crisis again so there was like you open up. I just told them you're opening up new era pathways for the same information to get to me faster but it worked eight so i tabled that for a while. And then i got into just some straight up therapies straight up relationship therapy straight up you know psychiatry and working with with that because there's just fucking no shame in encina psychiatrist and and having a little support if you need it. If you have a headache you can take an aspirin so if you have clinical depression yeah like you need some fucking hell right. You're right. I mean and there's a lot of You know and i do work with psychedelics. Right you know as as a tool not as a solution as a tool. Hello everyone and thank you for tuning into another episode of worse. I guess what makes me really happy poppies. Because what else makes me really happy sarabi. That's right therapy is very helpful as you guys know. I'm very vocal about my mental health on here and pretty much just in life in general. I don't think there's a need to be ashamed or you know. I don't really see the stigma behind it. I think that you need to talk about how you feel and express your feelings and communication is great and talking about expressing.

Is Europe copying Victoria's lockdown strategy?

"Say Norman. Let's talk about a place, which is now imposing a five Columba travel limit You can't go to the body shop anymore he conquered the beauty salons jeans I'm not talking about Victoria I'm talking about I land and it looks like pices in Europe adopting some USTRALIAN stall approaches to curbing coronavirus. Yes. Because despite all the complaints about lockdown in Victorian has unnecessary M- should. Just. Let it go climbing from some sources and how in complaining not letting up quickly enough lockdown is actually all you can do when it's getting out of control I mean as a Stralia being used as an example to the world or is this just best practice? No matter where you are let's talk about Ireland for a moment, which is a country that's got a smaller population than Victoria bending how you define. It is right about five million people in the past month if at seventeen thousand cases past week seven, thousand by yesterday twelve, hundred cases in a single day. So. That's getting pretty worrying from them and they they're locked on looks remarkably similar to victorious yet they're going into heights lockdown of his six weeks well, in Victoria. That wasn't long enough. Do you think they might extend it? Well, it's hard to say and it goes on modelling the Senate got more cases and more virus circulating and as we've said. Before on Corona, Cast University of Sydney modeling showed that for every day you delay lock tone when you're out of control, it's a week at the other end, which is one reason why Victoria has gone on a bit longer they try to ring-fence thirty six suburbs. It didn't work and that delayed things by a couple of weeks and we've probably shortened it by lot. At, the end effect on that but that's engine. Now the sorted out and the hopefully, we'll get done very levels, but it depends on how much virus there is around week or so ago a senior person at the W. H. O., the World Health Organization was saying lockdowns shouldn't be the primary way that countries control Khurana, virus, and that sort of headline went out. And I think a of the new Scott got in it because we are seeing countries using lockdown and it can be effective. So where's the? Where's the nuance here? So that's certainly not what was being said last week courting the World Health, organization and we for Monday's synthetically report I interviewed Dr Dave Navarro. Who's in fact, the same health official he's professor of public. Health. Imperial College London and his Special Envoy to World Health Organization on Covid Nineteen, and he feels that he's been misrepresented his view is that sure down is not the first thing that you do. It's not your primary means of control. Your primary means of control has to be testing and contact tracing and quarantine in isolation of the people you find in that process. However he does say that you can get to a point where locked is the only thing that you can do and you should use that lockdown to improve your contact and testing regime. And in fact, if you look at Victoria, that's really although in the first wave, that's what we did as a nation back in March we got our act together in terms of contact tracing. There are still deficiencies in Victoria and they have used the last few weeks to get much better and so the contact tracing regime now in Victoria is fantastic there. quickly, the locking off mystery cases in super-quick time, and that's what you've gotta get. So then fighting the of used that time well. It's not that they're against lockdown. It's just that it has its place. and. When you when it's out of control, the way it is in Europe you've actually got to be able to do that another problem. And, I don't know what they've done in Ireland here. But the problem is the borders and it was a really interesting study the other day looking counties in the United. States and showing that cross-border flow was a very important factor in both the sustenance and the growth of SARS COV to infections. and. If you don't control your borders and you still got people coming in from outside, it's very hard to get this done and on control it. So so really European. Countries are trying to do this with one hand tied behind their bank. Britain and Ireland could control their borders because they're islands but it's harder for other nations exactly and can we just come back to smoking before about Australia and we are doing the numbers that are coming out now looking really really promising do how close are we to having zero spread here in Australia, we're almost there new south. Wales still has cases popping up Victoria might get there before New South Wales because they're still in lockdown and those extra few days of Lockton make make all the difference I think New South Wales it's going to be really hard but they're. You know they're getting on top of it too. I think we're going to be very, very tiny sprayed, and maybe in Victoria, they'll get done to zero spread. And that will make it much easier to open things

"The trunk podcast this is the Eddie Trunk Podcast all right as I mentioned this happened about two weeks ago at the new Sirius Xm studios in Los Angeles. Dave Navarro of Jane's Addiction. Dave the TV show ink master which hosts also talks in the interview about thinking about doing a solo record Stephen Pierce with the new lineup of rat that he's out there working we talk a little bit about that but really just a fun hang of Dave who's clearly a rat fan and Stephen having some fun with Dave and it all went down on my show oh trunk nation on volume in our La Studios about a week a week and a half ago so enjoy on the trunk podcast in corner one ladies and gentlemen it thrilled that there's cameras in here that he didn't end this was not this was not in the agreement three camera shoot Stephen can attest Varo is here to see you my man yes and to my right is our good friend that was just on with us from the rainbow not too long ago Mr Stephen Peercy of rat Elo thank you for coming in relatively early here by La Standards No I'm actually up at like four am every day but you've been spending a lotta time on the East Coast Yeah but I wake up store and I just I find that to be the most peaceful time there's no phones there's no there's nothing going on I can chill I can smoke outside you can make a painting God's died so I can see what it looks like outside before the sun really starts being aggressive you wake up Europe early to Oh yeah really yeah we don't sleep yeah you just add about two hours lucky last night yeah me too but for reasons unrelated to they were doing work around my hotel outside isn't that amazing how many as stephen how many times have you been in hotels and the fire alarm has gone off l. man you have to leave and finally just don't leave anymore yeah right yeah many many many men after years years during the chase the hotel out nice things happened like consistently two people stand different hotels every night and we have a we we have a books between us of just only hotel room incidents really oh yeah what what was the strangest one slots on the the lamp snot on the lamp shades you know and with the strangest one had to be whoever took my room after I left were you guys just played this past weekend in Oklahoma Grand Casino yes and I was there a week before I texted you because I was there a week prior because I did something with deep purple at a different place there but in that town and I'm in my room and it's very nice place I'm not disparaging the venue or the the rooms but I will say in the bed and I'm looking up by the vent and I see like what I thought was a cloud would of maybe dirt or something that had formed on the ceiling and on closer inspection it was black mold and that's not good you wanted they gave me the game the heads up I said hey it's a really nice place but my room had black mold in it but it's it's slightly metal though right isn't there okay blackmore I'm saying that's the new new bands yes I gave you the heads up and say hey so you don't you don't know what are bedbugs still a finger they are well here's the here's a secret is you get tight with housekeeping and they know everything the era I think about the show they walk into every day not even from like guys like us they they will walk into stuff like bodies dead people crime scenes like complete people shouldn't you know yeah people doing fetish shit room out and bouncing makes us look like lightweights and they're like arms you're we we think you're the greatest you know what I mean every customer as I keep my shit tight you know what I mean and then 'cause I figure the more the more organized I am in my room the less likely I am to leave something in there yeah you guys ever in the back in the good old days where you guys ever hotel room destroyers did you go through that ritual at some point Stephen Now it just happens you know it just happened Oh you mean it happened but it wasn't premeditated and it wasn't premeditated you did it though well I mean you just get sloppy because wor yeah you know out of Control I would say that we the hotel destroyers after the fact yeah hindsight but we weren't like out like Hey let's be punk rock and destroy a hotel we just had people over after the show and he got out of hand and then coming off the walls and lampshades or anybody ever do the TV out the window bit I have that where is it not Brentwood where the president stays all the time in L. A. At one hotel Elton I don't I don't know certain sensory city no no century here's an invited me neither I don't Wanna I had to do it there why I don't know I just had the urge because he was visting system man I wasn't on the road I was I used to stay at hotels who are no I I had a house he lives I had a house hotel on the throne televisions out of my own window out of my house twenty about Stevens is he's born and raised southern California hotel you're why we're even in a hotel I used to like I had a house but I would just always stay in hotel I do that just just destroy him you know close the bar down at four in the nine he's that was the big the big thing for me was like all right you guys can reach me I'll answer my cell phone and you can get a hold of me but I'm not telling you I am really Oh yeah for months at a time because you were getting higher suck yet I know you weren't yeah the deal was like to my family and friends like here's the deal I'm okay and I promised answer the phone so you don't have to worry if that's your thing but if you're going to worry then I got all like Alan on down because I had too much information then you're gonNA worry that's on you you have the choice whether or not you want to choose to put that in your life and I got all heady on into the phone I'll honor you and I'll let you know okay but I ain't telling you where am I being argyle I'd be at At the height house whatever just chilling riot house the riot back in the day and it was cool which is called what the end is or something this is probably not interesting for your listeners but if you wanna get into that iron maiden things just a squash that once well we did the last top twenty was iron maiden and you had said what a big iron maiden you claim to be the seventh member of the band I don't blame it I am you are the seven member of they don't know they know they know they know so what what would be do you have a list or no Sheikh or would you like to say to say about the list is I saw your list and I I apologize to you and the show I was supposed to submit a list right so that was nothing's going on I get it it's okay but I I always have time to write down twenty things right who doesn't have time for that so I apologize so I get Eddie's master compiled lists my personal with the graphics and this is what Eddie thinks this is how it should be and I'm looking I'm looking I'm looking at my collusive Bruce's favorite song do okay backing out the fact that I didn't have armageddon married or were you okay with much of the other list once got into the past power slave stuff there wasn't even much of that but like wasting a great Song Morello our mutual buddy who he and I always say it's any iron maiden song is better than most but for iron maiden if I'm going to judge them against themselves it's not a great what are you GonNa first four albums pretty much the whole way I'll I will I will go up to power slave you'll go through power sleep Hallier okay all right aces high and right arose out on the I think that's yeah yeah you're right when but I don't know anything all I know is like don't play with matches is one of them yeah not play with matches that's all burn this thing down the PSA children yes madness I'm sorry I don't play with matches let me let me ask you this so dave you were saying that you would go see rat back in a day in the club's when was the first your first memory of seeing Pearson rat well I saw rat in the Troubadour I saw rat lottery at the rocks Hey this is is just in high school and it was before out of the cellar came out yeah the eighty three okay so it was eighty three right and they know out of the cellar was about to come out and is there with my high school friends and you know Steven his live and he's like new record coming on you would do whatever your voice is yeah I don't even know the seller and we couldn't hear him we looked at each other and he's like it's called album seller guys are really confident about this is going to be great I can't wait for album seller and it came out we couldn't hear them and so we went to the story of the day came out and it was like oh out of the cellar yes a lot more sense so back in those days I used to go see rat and then sadly many years later I ended up in Rehab my roommate was Robbin crosby ah yeah so we were we were struggling are addictions together he was a great support a great system of support from me we were for each other actually so you you'd befriended each other. Oh Yeah I mean they stuck us in the same room because we were musicians we had guitars and you're in you know you know in the same field and they felt that you know we would gel gel and we did and he was just the sweetest guy yeah and you know I never I never knew him loaded on obviously I only knew him on that month that we spend in treatment together but that was really sad when he went and we just we just did this bowie tribute the other night with my above ground organization all the proceeds go to mental health and for rock and roll suicide the last song we showed all of our lost friends and Robin was among them yeah wait so we gave a little tribute to him about two weeks ago during Robin Pass Away I don't believe those two thousand seven no I couldn't tell you actually yeah I it was ninety seven I don't know Stephen US you were in Rehab in early one thousand nine hundred ninety so like we're in like I don't I've lost decades in my life since then so it's it's hard for me to give you a numbers Steven you said to me on more than one occasion that went robin went at that that's what you felt really changed the whole sort of balance of rat that it was a it was really yes of course a personal thing for his family and friends but as far as the band itself that that was a real sort of game changer for the hit for the path of the band can you elaborate on that yeah well I mean what I heard I just went for a walk into said well that's that chapter is never going to be the same we go out and Jack off you know so to speak and keep the brand going and pretty much did that in many stupid ways yeah I mean we're we're not the most dysfunctional ban by any means but we were dysfunc- so yeah I mean they're saying that they're not the most dysfunctional band oh means they're just not the most except now it's a it's a whole new ballgame with the new guys you know so how long have you been doing how long does this lineup you've got a year and a half at the rainbow when we talk for the listeners that don't know talk about the other three guys that are in the band now you've got Pete Holmes on drums he's a monster from a black and blue blue Jordan blue these crazy crazy good Jordan south on guitars Jordan also played a within Marty Friedman's me Yes yes no anybody's seen Mardi play who's come over here he's played a couple of times Done American tourist because more dealers and Han but he I before Jordan was with you guys I went to see Mardi here.

"And anywhere else you stream so I made a trip to Los Angeles fairly last minute fairly unexpectedly about a week ago about a week and a half ago just had come from there and turned around and went right back for some stuff at the new Sirius Xm studio and one of the shows that I did there and we're able to pull together sort of real last minute was a show with Stephen Pierce of rat Dave Navarro of Jane's addiction together now unfortunately this kind of stuff doesn't happen all that much most of the time when artists do interviews as as you may even know them like I do when it comes to these guys they still WanNa do stuff for under the advice of their handlers they wanna do stuff that time they've got a release or something to promote and honestly up sorry I'm just dropping stuff here honestly that that's pretty maddening because it's so many of these guys who just great rock fans it's just so much fun to just have them kick it and hang out and talk and tell stories you don't always need to have that thing to have to sell in that pressure to sell it's fun to just hang and when you get the opportunity you that it's always a lot of fun and that's exactly what you're about to hear was pierce and Navarro knew each other I don't think extremely well and what happened was I tweeted out that Stephen and Dave we're both going to be on the show and then they started tweeting Charles that they'd like to do a song together and we had some fun and at the end of the interview they played an acoustic take of lack of communication and unfortunately due to the rules of podcasting and publishing we will not be able to air that portion for you but that's all the more reason well you should be a Sirius. XM subscriber if you're not already in the US and Canada and listen to trunk nation everyday live or on the replay or on the APP because you will get the applete interviews each and every day and obviously musical performances when we have them so this was a lot of fun this happened completely organically the idea of them just hanging out in the studio telling stories Dave Navarro Stephen Pierce E. together really was a blast and you'll get to hear that conversation on this week Eddie Trunk podcast so let's get to it because it's a fun one and not a lot to tell you here at the top but want to get you to this interview because I think you're GONNA end joy it coming up next the trump by gassed it has always I want to give a big thank you for listening to the Eddie Trunk podcast and look I know you're being bombarded by who are always asking for you to give surveys or customer feedback and all that be honest with you I find it very annoying myself but I'm asking you now it's me asking you I don't ask you very often here's the deal we'd like to ask a small important favor of you it only takes a few minutes and if you're one of the first people to do podcast one we'll make it worth your time literally do we need you to complete a very short survey because.

"I always say he's super celebrity hotline and this time I actually mean. It Dave Navarro is joining us and it's an honor to have, you. Sir thank you so much for being with. Us we appreciate. It Hey. Thanks for taking the time I I'm surprised you play track coming, in. I love that song thank you into the. Lives of to Counts I think that's. The third time that. Song has been played so thank you Welcome our sonic genius Brian. Alzheimer's like yes Said. That yeah so cool Reproduces we've. Reduced us for the artists. We're very. Artists friendly here all right so we want to talk about this project that you're involved in because it is for people who, know your your life story which I'd say a, lot of your fans do but that. A lot, of people don't you, know they, just kind of you know remember you from Jane's addiction and run until he peppers and all the. Other projects that you've done but if the, this people who don't know you lost. Your mom to a murder, when you were a teenager your parents had been separated and you're splitting time as a lot of divorce case do between your mom and your dad's house you having to be at your dad's house his night that her ex-boyfriend came over and killed her and then another woman who's in the house. With. Her at. A, time right And and so you spent took eight years to find this guy right it including using the help of America's most wanted. Right Christmas wind is what actually took him down And that's how they actually watch that show Well that that did. Catch a lot of people over the years where did they? Eventually find him where it was in hiding did he do? His identity or? Did he become another person what would happen I believe he was picked, up on a different on a burglary crime In the system they got him News one You know the story. Expect. That yeah what is interesting now been made into? You you there's a film that's been made about your, experience here, your life how it impacted, your life and then you actually went to. The prison you went to San Quentin to go see this guy right What was, it what what were you what what did. You want to get out of that experience all those answers Morning sun Talking about right That's actually doing a screening condo hotel Right coming up on day after tomorrow. And that's the ankle wanna do this You can. It's, an. Event you have to go to, vent bright and look this up right Frightening it's brought, to, you by industry TV industry With an I d Bill Right. Right, yeah. Yeah Everybody's. Gonna, make. It, challenging That's exactly what I thought, when I saw that day that was like that, going in a radio interview, and when people misspell stuff they. Never think about radio anymore. They only think about apps Oh that's cute Being. Long these. Days, number eight I know So you made this with your, best friend and I imagine that was quite emotional journey for both of you. Potentially was L. coaster he was on the team We got in. The car with king quarters So this is what ended up taking about six. Years because it was the two of us Put together a documentary The screening on Sunday divergent Hutto Acumen Hyun h. toys Healing and survival rather than Kurtz only questions too Yeah This is domestic violence and the issues of this film potentially helping other people in some. Way do you imagine it'll have that impact or has it that is the? Whole I know that many people have reached out to me and And told me that? You know a lot of the one they were experiencing Phil Exchange so yeah Loves to spread that message very closely with a safe horizon which provides, housing for families, domestic violence situation no. More, or That are out there and we just want to spread that message to say look, the most unimaginable, is quite possible You know Yeah But even in the same, breath loss loss and trauma, is Those those messages don't, you there's there's something to be, gained out of the process I agree A lotta people relate to the story on. That, level yeah. That's, true well and also I think that's one of the parts of. This story one of the parts of this film is an unblinking look at the destruction wrought on the survivors here US Pacific and how it changed your life. And it it certainly fostered. Encouraged fed Addictive behavior it did others that you know it it is people are just trying to numb the pain of something like this and then you know you stop and here in Chicago it's interesting that you're, doing this day here in Chicago because the there is so much we see. So, much. Violence. And pathology result of in generations that, are touched by violence and then and then seemingly Shakespearean doomed to repeat the. Violence, because of. A, lot of things that you talk about in this film which is. About addiction and mourning and loss and loss of of basically a sense of anything will ever be okay again yes yes wow I'm just I'm so honored that you're you're having to style That's exactly right that's exactly right so not only is it talking about the trauma and it's not talking about the loss and the grieving but the fact that they're you know many times there's a whole that's, left in the victim in the survivors 'cause you watch a lot of climbs. Shows, these. Days. It's always about the psychology of the, killer and it focuses I understand that but what they don't really. Talk about is the family members leftover and what they. Go through and lives get destroyed lives geeky, well for us Sometimes they aren't able to recover from it, takes down a lot more people than, just the direct victim so I yeah thanks for bringing that up because that's part of. The, message is that. You know I definitely know things that don't work and I definitely know things that have worked for me and I'm, willing to share those yeah Well and you have an amazing story and your art clearly speaks for. Itself I. Mean, we were talking about earlier before you were here bragging on your little bit back, you bragging on ourselves for having you, on that was more like the reality is I mean you know you're one of the. Great The stand out. Artists of, your generation, in rock and so two You know to be, able to tell the other side of the story of your life and it gives people a sense of. Inspiration about where, you've been and how to overcome all of that but more importantly that really bad stuff happens to people and they and they have to find a way they. Have to find a way out and and you make mistakes in and I think that's the beauty of of this project is it shows that you can make mistakes and still be okay. At the end there is there. Any other, side, absolutely honored percent I couldn't have said it better in fact I'm. I'm recording. This and I'm going to type of my new. Fresh thank you Hey But the and I think people should see this if you if you're not, gonna be able to make it out to this, again explain how people can do. Okay yeah so this was when the big cap and trade vote went down up there that got me all. Ginned. Up yeah And. It was very contentious vote and all of these guys have a lot of, pressure on them both, ways, as to which way they were going to go and so. He literally sat his entire. Staff down in the. Office and said I'm going to vote no these the. Reasons why I just want. To let, you know. And then they ask questions they talked, about it they made sure to get all, on the same page they were all. On point, he's, like all right. Now I'm going to. Go to lunch and then I'm. Gonna. Go cast. That vote. And. Then. We're done for the day they said okay the guy leaves he goes to lunch she talks to someone at. Lunch It doesn't tell anybody. Changes yes but he doesn't. Tell anyone on his. Staff and they're all the sudden getting getting inundated with. Calls from angry constituent that. This guy, voted yes. With they all were under the impression, that he was voting no so when the. Calls come in they're like no what. Are you, talking, about he voted. No we are you. Told me right before he voted No it's up on the internet yes Whoa Had that lunch who was the launch with and then they have emergency meetings to try. To. Yeah, well imagine that like every day in the White House because that's pretty much what's going. On I don't think that he be marches to the beat of his own. Drum we know. That, yes and I bet you that happens more often than people think not just in, politics but in. Business I'm curious to see what else awry Omarosa has to say because you, know here's maroshek who was a, democrat and I think she worked for. Clinton she did not right there during. Impeachment. Okay so she was there for all of. That and then she did the apprentice with Donald Trump ends up working for Donald Trump and I'm not quite sure what. Her why did she? Leave like first of, all I think they went through one hundred forty people or something insane like, that like the. Administration so why does she? Leave did she get? Fired I, forget Well on. What story you believe? There was a wedding, party they locked her out remember she couldn't get it in okay they allege, that she used. Secret service protection or she? Used a motorcade for? Her wedding Okay. That Kelly got really angry about that and that's. When, he, said who. The house she why is she doing that. And then, he decided. That she was gone after you've got to have her on I have so we gotta ask her. That question for sure. Oh yeah of course you'll come. And. Do the show for sure it's five twenty one the drive home talkradio seven ninety KABC I've given up on developing my beach body instead I'm going to focus, on my Morongo buffet body and now your top five reasons to visit.
