"Then david hartland was sort of the veteran face on morning tv as well. What did they when you got hired. They didn't know you from adams. That's gotta be a little weird get thrown in there. Yeah a bit to david. Had some some mma saint louis ties his his wife who has passed away from Some cancer She had saint louis ties so he was aware of me and And obviously when when they're looking for a person to join the show hartman is very aware of what's going on. He was the controlling force. The he's he is an absolute delight. I loved working with him. We played golf frequently On on weekends or days off He lived in In new york state not very far from greenwich and and we would get together every once in a while and just play got neither one of us great golfers but we enjoyed each other's company. Joan was fantastic Steve bell was fantastic. Kathleen sullivan wonderful. Just wonderful And occasionally will will will. I've run into kathleen in a long time but have run into her. A couple of times on maui Because she is good friends with mark roughing the the golf. And and i've i've no mark a little bit just just from maui days et Caisley kathleen will be there playing offer. Something i haven't seen david in a long a still alive. But dave dave get up there. Get up there. So when you were in saint louis for twenty nine years at just at channel two alone which became fox to it. Could you like if i go to the store. Some people recognize me but like if you think about the sports guy. His time is way less than the weather guy. And i'm always on this like might face. Oh pop up nothing to see. But then there's video and then there's video the newsreel other. The weather people are on camera. Elaborate resented the time to extremely recognizable. And then the whole and you see the whole package. You see the body for the most part. Yeah they see you constantly. Sports guys faces up. Let's go to video video translate when that's a good thing to you know i understand it. It's been recommended by the way this is. We're not wearing resumes at all. But the thinking of career advice i got it was a news director Abc or maybe kcbs went big deal los angeles. He went to de smet. I'm working in madison and some family friends in saint. Louis we gotta get you in touch with him because he can help your career. I was like i don't. I'm doing weekends madison. It was alright. So i sent him. Tape writes back a letter in. He said just so you know. The sports guys are followed. A certain category said to afford to work. He said either got to be good looking the a former athlete or be funny if i regard focused on funding do do duly noted John john collagen. Who was at the i think was kcbs anyway we. We've laughed about that for years. But so my point is you're very recognizable when you'd go out in saint louis..

In which is the our show before. Good morning america so i was getting up at one zero nine in the morning. Why what nine what. You're what will. Why do i or member one nine. This kind of jumping ahead a little bit one zero nine. Because i had figured that's the and i would drive. In the only time they would send me a limo is in bad weather. And of course i would be able to say it's going to be bad weather one way or the other time for a limo. Now if i lived in the city they'd send a limo everyday. Pick me up and take me home. But i'm one of these guys on big dog. Big big truck. You know kind of thing. I need some space. I need some wrong and the city was not going to do it. And and so. I knew that i had till one zero nine to sleep and get up. Get a shower. Get dressed drive into work and be in there by bats to thirty three o'clock in the afternoon in the morning at so all time down and i remember the one nine because in that job to all the morning. People in television continue. You're exhausted all the time. And so is the evening crew but the morning crew exceptionally exhausted. And i can remember still waking up at one. Oh seven the alarm had not gone off yet and go. Oh man i get two more minutes asleep. And i would fall back into dead asleep and then the alarm would go off. It went on not. And then you get up and you you do you think he never miss slot. Can't miss it at a nash. Or even locally. You never overslept on a morning. Sheriff now no now and whether it has ought still today whether is always the beast that a producer goes to in time of crisis if if the show is falling apart where where does the producer go dave. Talk weather that out so you always have to be ready. And that i. I was there on the david hartman. Years in joan. London years in steve failures and and kathleen sullivan years So it was. It was the heart of a morning television. yes there. There are only two players so it was good morning america. The today show really much like it is now but there's just a lot of different choices. Now appliance discounters. A great saint louis success story there in maplewood south county saint charles and baldwin and they carry ge appliances. You know the story at appliance discounters. Great merchandise even better prices while they carry ged. So what i tell folks to do all the time and just tell them go to the website. The appliance discounters dot com in little search engine.

"I love the fact that dave said. What's it gonna take to get you to come here. I think i've gotten what's it gonna take to get rid of you. Okay opposite of that. You know the record. Be good to you. Know to be very good. Patrick every made a career that you mentioned his name. I don't know the man at all. He worked at channel thirty in saint louis for a little while in his career but there was a famous story instead of channel. Five where they had a you know the market research the people come in. I forget what they call focus group and the couple of women said well. We're not sure he's a great man but he looks good or something and then the album. Yeah he was good looking guys whether female or male. He's a good looking guy passed away but but he was. He was an interesting character. Apparently they pull them in and they tell them like. Hey they're not giving you high marks in every category but they all the women said they like looking at you and he just said you bet your ass that doesn't surprise me and he'll be out. Remember when i. When i started at jail i came out of graduate school. I have absolutely no television experience. Nothing's zipped i'd dump some college radio But that was it and empathic was not happy that they had stuck me with him. Going into rates added Unproven untested And when we started out he did not like me at all i was. I was young. I was saying. I didn't know any better at nor did i really care i. Hey this is why dream job here right out of the shoot. I get to do this stuff at the and i always looked at an patrick. I became very good friends over the years at the because he took me under his wing once he realized that we were good team. And i thought we were good team because i always looked at him. I have an older brother. I always looked at him as my older brother. Not in good way. So i was able to treat them like a younger brother treats his older brother and they worked it. Just the chemistry worked really. Well tell me that in new york. Where did you live because good morning america. What's the schedule you there at four. Am and i think you told. Didn't they send a limo to this is. This is a different era. The network arabic thanks. Yes and everything's very different now in the business that you and i are in and you are currently and i Lived in greenwich connecticut. I did not wanna live in the city Abc at the time. Some wanted to know if you're we don't need the tape we've got tapes gonna take job in new york with good morning america at. It was not an easy decision. Because i love weather so much and i knew what national was was not a lot lot of weather involved. It was quick hits but at the same time. It was the pinnacle of when i do for a living at back. After a couple of weeks. I caught with. Check it about every other day so not quite sure yet and salary cap going up so it was a. I wasn't meant to be a contract negotiation but turned out to be a really good one. And i finally so okay. I'm ready. let's do it. "There's still a lot of variety but the the greatest thing is that your days are typically seventy degrees and fifty five at night. It's kinda nice. Thanks for that. Thanks for that reminder. That would be like the sports guy. Every year at spring training would have to mention what the weather was down in jupiter. Just two toss back in february. I add and you enjoy doing that though. Yes it's required Wired reporting when you're down there takes us back so you're at kay's decay channel five and you end up on good morning america. Give me an idea. I guess back. Then i mean the networks weren't cable outlets. There were only a couple of networks. Only a couple of big time national shows. You went to good morning america. did that happen. Were realized how did they reach out to you. Apply or how did it work. While when i my first job was a channel club came out of graduate school and i just was truly an example of being at the right place at the right time. I had done a research project with the university that i was going to in saint louis. It was a project called project metro mex- which was a study of the climate. I was an offshoot of it. Studying thunderstorm gust fronts. Were at the time these were events. That were knocking. Airplanes out of the sky on landing and takeoff. It was a big big deal doesn't happen much anymore because we know what causes it and what to avoid and all that stuff. There's there's a lot of protocol in place that that you don't do certain things landing and taking off anymore because of that researched but it I was there were. I was offered two jobs. I had made a little black and white. He south film At at the university. And it was what i had in. There was an animation. Now people say well. We'll be animation. This is back in the seventies. This is back in the mid. Seventies animation was unheard of and Luckily i had a great photographer in the atmosphere science department and we did a cold front moving across the state and it took us three weeks to do it because it you know moving moving it at eight seven inch take a picture moving eighth of an inch move this in at just took a long long time to do. I actually up in the where where we kept the jets. A at the university had jets armor-plated aircraft and stuff like this actually made a state map in a national map out of wood. Wood work type stuff at the put. Put a weathercast ago and channel five Was very interested. Wbz in boston was very interested. And i was driving actually to get a plane to go to boston for an era edition. I'd already gotten a job. Offer from channel five at the at i was driving to the airport at i stopped at a payphone. Genn we're going back to the seventies and i called my dad and they were always very encouraging in the in the science of weather and do would doing what i wanted to do. They never downplayed it at all and my dad said who was in business all of his life he said can't really give any advice As far as what to do here. Because i don't know the business as he said but i know that you love whether and you should. You're gonna make the right decision no matter what you do at So i hung up the phone pay phone. Dial keith gunther channel. Five in saint louis and said keith. Wendy you need me. Mrs like in august. He said i need to know later than september..

He might come by the sports update mark. Guess what you should just go home. You're not gonna which. I often. I often offered to do that. They didn't take me up on it but they did. But you really love it like you didn't want to be a tv. That happened to do the weather. You were a weather nut who happened to do tv right. Yeah i'm i'm meteorologist You know that's ever since really i. Guess four th grade. That's what that's what i wanted to do and and i love the forecasting aspect of it at its. I've always called it. A big lauds snows big thunderstorms big weather events. A super bowl for me that's And it it. Gets you amped up. It's it's cool especially if it's a challenging forecast you know you wanna do you want to put the best product out there you possibly get and if you're sitting in l. a. You probably watch the local weather into well. That's hard it's it's gonna be sunny and nice sunny nights was part was picking on those guys two great market one of the the fun aspects in saint louis is you had seasons you and you yes origin hot and you might have an icefall. Will people expected change in the weather. As opposed to some markets where it probably doesn't require him now it yeah we. We watched the la stations. We're about an hour hour. Ten minutes south of la We're kind of in one of those noman lands that say. Yeah you get covered but not really but there are There's a lot of different climates. Here yeah yeah the mountains. You have the just where we live. We live from the ocean up to our house. We live up on top of a hill and It's about a mile. I guess And i can go through. Different climates just climbing up the hill on in my car and you can see the temperature changing In the marine layer is fascinating to watch. It's pretty easy to forecast. There's no question about that And it certainly don't get you jollies off on on forecasting out here Like you do other places but there are four seasons you know there. There's there's hot weather summertime out. Here is typically the end of august through september and october. Where can get hot especially inland. It can get very very hot. You have your rainy season which we haven't had yet. It's coming later this spring like it did last year You don't have snow but get snow on the mountains. you can see it When i walk the dogs. I can see the snow up on the mountains dot.

But we haven't seen him since he was born at the simply because of the quarantine we can't travel and and obviously neither one of us wants to bring anything into our son's home to threaten to anybody so we We do what everybody else has been doing. We just decided as we were getting older and getting closer and closer towards retirement. That hawaii was not the place to be as far as living there We got close to doing it. So we had a lot of research on it and We had property and and ready to go but it was getting harder and harder to get there and we knew our son and his wife were. Were not going to be there. And that eventually they would have a grandchild we'd have a grandchild of one to whatever and it would just make life harder to do so we picked Another climate we had come out to southern california frequently because genesis folks lived out here so we knew the area very well and So it was just like we just looking for good weather about that. "My gosh. Well, it was really sweet because Maurice hangs out with just cuz Dad and she teaches he teaches him welding bam kind of fruits to give him a little introduction teaching him a skill so that he can go out and hopefully get a job of his own which I don't know a lot about welding. I know that's shocking to people probably wage. I'm pretty sure you have to have like a lot of certifications and trainings and yeah like that or you have to like do it as a trade like right as anime to ship type of thing for a long time before you can really start like making money at it. I wasn't I'm not 100% sure on that. I mean not that long like if you know how to weld there's some people that will just need fire you under the table to do stuff for them. Okay. If you have a certification then you're going to want more pay so kind of depends. I mean it's like with anything, you know off. We'll get if you want to get paid in cash and under the table. Then we don't need to see as many certifications but this may be a good way for him to learn and see if he really likes it and then he'll take those classes, right? Okay. Gotcha know I thought I just thought it was really sweet that just cuz Dad was taking the time to show him and like be patient with him and teach him and he thought he was like listening and trying to get it down and you could tell he was proud of himself. He was he did not one little piece. He's like, yeah, it looks good things like it was so cute and thought he talked about how he doesn't really have a relationship with his dad again. And so I don't know just I like their relationship. I feel like it's so pure I'm telling you. I'm all here for Dave Murray's not so much Jessica Maurice, but I'm here for Dad and Maurice. She can go she can just stay out shopping with her mom. Yeah, I like the relationship better off. I know it was really cute. "Having you at Good Morning America when you got Dave Murray from Saint Louis to be the one of the weather casters there no I don't think so okay yeah he knows who was working for me down here in Saint Louis and then I've got picked up by Good Morning America for a couple years and I mean there with David Hartman was host yeah and I hired Joan Lunden Spencer Christian and to other people like that great days of television they were and that was the we were the little David they came up against that shy and today show and beat him first time in history it was it was amazing that in you know what I think can a pull to the ABC because you know at the time it was C. B. S. N. B. C. N. B. C. CBS when they did the series roots I think that it started to really push that network then that was that was a key time no question about it that and phones the whole yeah Happy Days that's right they they were aggressive doing that tell me about how you got involved in the ABC school house rock show well I was I I do is this the first thing I did when I came to the network I originally started at the ABC affiliate in Chicago produce sing morning shows and that kind of thing W. LS right W. L. **** yeah and we had a show there called Bob Kennedy and in it it took on the today show and and of course at that time maybe she had no morning show we took on giant today show when we beat him in Chicago so that got the attention of the folks in in New York and they brought me to New York we I took over a children's television first because they there was also the group of rabble rousing mothers in Boston that were making all kinds of trouble about children's television and so I I looked upon that as an opportunity and they made me the first vice president of children's television at ABC during that time I made friends with the women of Boston I talked to them logged in I I became you know just to prevent diplomatically engaged with the same things they were concerned with and but we put on programs like schoolhouse rock ABC afterschool specials sentencing the when we would allow us to guide in the late sixties so okay and it was it was a great time to be in Chicago is a powerful network powerful station at the time yeah to be sure I know what one of my acre people from Detroit Terry Murphy went to LOS after the the mid seventies I think early eighties and as a general manager email as an anchor anchor woman anchor woman all I got you yeah yeah gotcha yeah well you know before I was in L. as I was at one of the great fifty thousand watch stations on the east coast WBZ call yeah hearing that shots were actually got my start super well good and it's gonna be fun talking with you tonight now you coined the phrase god winks yeah what does it mean to people well done we is a weird details of vacancy in the language because I was when I was running Good Morning America George I would sit in the back to the control room and whenever I heard a reporter started story saying ironically today I would think this is one of those coincidence stories and I thought that was more a coincidence than coal wind sedans and and when I started talking to people about coincidence stories they told me that there was no coincidence to coincidence because they believe that there was something else who is him powering coincidence something divine and so I started really searching for coincidence stories to put into a book but also I started searching for what do you call it what do you call a coincidence that isn't a coincidence exactly and my wife and I were talking to people I we we would pray about it we we just we spent six months just thinking and working on finding the right way to describe these coincidences they weren't going to this one day this little words floated into my mind god wake I thought so it's kind of fun this can only god speed god then that's not threatening doesn't sound red hat Jewish and and then I went to my manuscript that I was working on and I took out every word coincidence putting god wakes and it fit but even more important when I when people started using the word they put it into the language right away so now that we're almost twenty years later believe it or not it's it has popped up in a lot of dictionaries and it's now in the culture and Hey we have reached a new milestone with that to hallmark movies based on god wake stories and that is really push the word in the language that's great because I've been looking for twenty years for a word to replace coincidences because I don't believe they happen either I think there's something else that makes these incredible things happen yes I agree with you well you know if you looked at dictionary definition of of a coincidence it is too amazing events that come together with out causal connection that that's a coincidence well if you believe that these events happened because of a divine connection then that's not without causal connection that's weird causal connection and so therefore as I said what do you call it so god we can still that vacancy in the language you know and it's really surprised me that one of things I worry about what is when I first started writing this book and using that word I said I'm not a doctor I'm not a philosopher I'm not a theologian Hey Alex diary actually a little radio guy first but I'm a TV guide you radio guy and and what do I know what I mean I I how do I come up with one of the pastors gonna say when they hear that I've got this weird and so one of the things that has really surprised me and I have felt honored by is that all of the great pastors of the world that I have encountered from cholos de the Pat Robertsons are Robert Schuller to whatever they have all said Hey Adam boy that's great you we knew that they were came from god we just in the left column yeah exactly exactly and does so I'm gonna start using god winks and you know what once you see god winks you see them more and more and more and it's like we there around all the time we just haven't developed the used to be able to see them that died always encourage people to just make a list and put it on the refrigerator door or something of all the god winks that to have and after a month you'll be absolutely amazed at how many times you had an amazing god where don weeks also be miracles well I think miracles are I I define it a little differently hi I think of yes and by the way they are the same I mean I had a miraculous story I'd love to tell you tonight or this morning what about my show and and and and they were god wakes in that story so miracles and god wakes go together and in prayer goes together as a matter of fact people ask me all the time why don't we get more kind of like get more con wakes and one of the most important ways is to talk to the navigator I say that we are on this incredible G. P. S. gods positioning system and how do you program your GPS you talk to the navigator young and when you talk to the navigator he communicates back to you not in the human voice but through amazing experiences that could only come from divine origin coddling tell us the story of your son we're gonna go through a lot of stories with you tonight great well my son actually he still believes in Santa Claus I still hate crimes all I do too and I will first service I love that you are but he lives in a community outside of Houston where we are right now and we are get tickets to the community for disabled adults called Brookwood community amazing place but when he was born his mother and I went into the hospital always thinking as you do when you go into the hospital you're going to have a baby all the exciting things are gonna happen it could come out the other end that that are are you going to giveaway cigars and you're going to call up everybody with excitement you do not expect that the doctor is going to say sorry oh my god your baby was born and cardiac arrest if he survives he probably will have so much brain damage that he will be able to communicate if he lives in and so that was a turning point in my life because I have always believed there was something up there somebody up there yeah I didn't have a relationship with that somebody and his mother had had the baby at at eight twenty in the mornings with caesarean section she couldn't even be she couldn't even see him because she was you know being his could get up and go into the neo natal clinic and I went into that neo natal clinic athletics hill hospital in New York and I pledge that I was going to pray for this child around the clock for him to survive and I would look into that incubator there were eighteen different tubes and wires coming out of his body including the two became out of his throat and I would look at the machine and the machine standing there was it was it was coming the then there is the amount of oxygen that he was taking in on his own and how much reading the machine was doing for him it showed the machine was doing ninety five percent of the briefing without the machine he'd be a goner that's exactly right without the machine he would not exist I prayed that this child would survive and I have to tell you there was a bit of a miracle that happened just before that it was a voice and angelic experience I know you've been talking about this night yeah but there was a nurse who would come up to me when I was looking into the into banner and one of the things I was thinking about ways where do you bury a child in New York City when you haven't figured out where you're going to your self and this one the nurse came up to me and said have you thought of taking a picture of your child I looked at her I thought it was kind of an odd question sure my child had eighteen different tubes and wires wants to see that kind of a picture right yeah and so she said yeah I came into this hospital a year ago I gave birth to a baby it was stillborn I left the hospital with no evidence I ever had a baby Hey I thought wow I think this is a wake up call this baby is not still born this baby is alive I need to be asking the navigator for assistance to save this baby I need to ask god if there is a god up there I need to ask him to save this baby.

weak it is a weird details of vacancy in the language because I was when I was running Good Morning America George I would sit in the back of the control room in whenever I heard a reporter started story saying ironically today I would think this is one of those coincidence stories and I always thought there was more to coincidence than coal wind sedans and and when I started talking to people little words floated into my mind god wake I touch base so it's kind of fun this can only god speed god sand its not threatening doesn't sound religious and and then I went to my manuscript that I was working on and I took out every word coincidence putting god wakes and it fit but even more important when I when people started using the word they put it into the language right away so now that we're almost twenty years later believe it or not it's it has popped up in a lot of dictionaries and it's now in the culture and Hey we have reached a new milestone with that to hallmark movies based come together with out causal connection that's a that's a coincidence well if you believe that these events happened because of a divine connection then that's not without causal connection that's what is when I first started writing this book and using that word I thought I'm not a doctor I'm not a philosopher I'm not a theologian Hey I'm a TV diary actually a little radio guy first but I'm a see them more and more and more and it's like we there around us all the time we just haven't developed the I used to be able to see them fact I've always encourage people to just make a list and put it on the refrigerator door or something of all the god links that you have and after a month you'll be absolutely amazed at how many times you had an amazing god way and teams died weeks also be miracles well I think miracles are I I define a little differently I ice I think of yes and by the way they are the same I mean I had a miraculous story I'd love to tell you tonight or this morning what about my son and and and they were god wakes in that story so miracles and god winks go together and in prayer goes together as a matter of fact people ask me all the time why don't we give more how do I get more Conway and one of the most important ways is to talk to the navigator I say that we are on this incredible GPS guides positioning system and how do you program your GPS your talk to the navigator yup and when you talk to the navigator he communicates back to you not in a human voice but through amazing experiences that could only come from divine origin coddling tell us the story of your son we're going to go through a lot of stories with you tonight great well my son actually he still believes in Santa Claus I still think hugs role I do too and I'm over start I love that you're but he lives in a community outside a Houston where we are right now and we are where I get to it says the community for disabled adults called Brookwood community amazing place but when he was born hi his mother and I went into the hospital always thinking as you do when you go into the hospital you're going to have a baby all the exciting things are gonna happen occur come out the other end that that are are you going to giveaway cigars and you're going to call up everybody with excitement you do not expect that the doctor is going to say sorry oh my god your baby was born and cardiac arrest if he survives he probably will have so much brain damage that he will be able to communicate if he lives yes and so that was a turning point in my life because I have always believed there was something up there somebody up there but I didn't have a relationship with that somebody and his mother had had the baby at at eight twenty in the mornings with caesarean section she couldn't even be she couldn't even see him because she was you know being his could get up to go into the neo natal clinic and I went into that neo natal clinic athletics hill hospital in New York and I pledge that I was going to pray for this child around the clock for him to survive and I would look into that incubator there were eighteen different tubes and wires coming out of his body including the two became out of his throat and I would look at the machine and the machine standing there was it was it was coming the then there is the amount of oxygen that he was taking in on his own and how much reading the machine was doing for him it showed the machine was doing ninety five percent of the briefing without the machine he'd be a goner that's exactly right without the machine he would not accept I prayed that this child would survive and I have to tell you there was a bit of a miracle that happened just before that it was a voice and angelic experience I know you've been talking about nine yeah but there was a nurse who would come up to me when I was looking into the entertainer and one of the things I was thinking about ways where do you bury a child in New York City when you haven't figured out where you're going to your self and in this way the nurse came up to me and said have you thought of taking a picture of your child I looked at her I thought it was kind of an odd question sure my child had eighteen different tubes and wires wants to see that kind of a picture right yeah and so she said.

"The year. It would be unlikely that the Spurs made it into the playoffs at all. And then when he had the drought in February. It really looked like they weren't gonna make the playoffs and lo and behold coach Popovich doing what cope coach Popovich does got Spurs in the seventh seed and their faces a different nuggets. And now we're in game seven, and I love game seven of any sport when it comes to play offs because anything can happen. It's anybody's game. You know, they're crowds going to be behind them and Spurs has got step it up and play their game in expect big things from lamarcus Aldridge Dhamar. Rosen adding Rudy gay needs to have another big night a nineteen points. Last night was was big we had some more than he's done in the past few games. Derek Whyte needs to step up. John Dave Murray, do what John Murray does and Patty mills Patty mills needs to come up and have a big game come off the bench and hit some big three's missing that so far in the last few games. Look it's anybody's game. It's a game seven anything can happen. I'm looking for a great game nine o'clock tip. Eight o'clock we will hit the air right here. "And it's continuing it's not slowing down how much longer do you want to go out and keep doing this? I feel good. And that's the first important thing. I feel good. And I like it if I didn't feel good and like every show hurt I had to take cortisone to get through show or something. I'd have a totally different perspective. You know? I think this is kept me young actually not. Well. Yeah. It's like, yeah. When when people stop working, that's when they kind of start feeling old, but on the road can be a real grand. It is by the same token. It's it's a blessing to be able to play music and get paid for it. But at the end of the day, that's what you do for work. So it goes both ways Tom Araya as my pronouncing his last name correctly. He had some sorry Jonas, neck, don't exactly fusion. I think it was something similar to what you had three or four fuse. But my point is that kind of the way he was banging his head. Toll on his neck, and now he kind of restricts himself from doing that had surgery. He's in a better place. What kind of injuries if you racked up through your thirty years on stage? You had to have some crash-landed. It's fuck ups are good news good. The only the only thing to happen like three or four summers ago. I don't know if it was vertigo, but we were playing with maiden at Knebworth four five years ago. And it was after we played late at night in on that particular Bill we played like four in the afternoon and the night prior. I was up with Dave Murray to like four AM drinking in the bar. So I probably went onstage half-cocked still don't get enough sleep. Yeah, we off-stage the party started again five in the afternoon. And we got on we had to take a ferry to get our next place. So we get out of there and drinking get on the fairy drinking on the ferry on the fick off the ferry. We drive from somewhere in France to somewhere we're going in Austria out the bus feel great. And we had two shows in row coming up in Austria. So I wake up that afternoon. My wakeup call. I can't describe what was wrong with me. I thought I had food poisoning. I couldn't stop throwing up. Then I realized that by what I was doing with my head was making me throw up. It wasn't. 'cause I don't eat weird shit on the road because I'm deathly afraid of getting food poisoning. Right. So what I what I came to realize is sitting above the toilet Herlin will night is if I went in a head banging motion, my head thought, it was going like this, and it would instantly make me Pook. Right. So I had to sit in bed. And then as that day went on I kept having my tour manager, call me like every hour. I said push show as long as you can push your show as long as you can make it. And then he called me. D day. He said, this is it you're making it or you can I said I can't stand bed for more than fifteen minutes. My first show ever cancelled how long did it last? If that day if I was five percent that day the next day. I was ten next day. I was like eighteen next as about thirty and it was a slow comeback. And I attribute it to being exhausted. Dehydrated? Yeah. Because Tom had something a little bit similar in Australia one year. And you know, he looked like he was sick and gonna hurl and he was drinking shit tunnel. Coffee. Anyone getting a sleep? So it's a little different than drinking shit liquor. Not gonna sleep. Right. Right. Right. The same effect, and I didn't I didn't have bang for like ten twelve shows. And then we came back into the Jimmy Fallon show. So as right after world painted blood came out, and that's when I'm like, I'm going for it. And I gave it enough time and I felt good. I felt it ever since. So you're forty six now I'm forty nine warning that you're older than me. I got you got in dog years. Oh. Got it. About live on a road towards an started slowing down a little bit. Because it couldn't recovers fast..
