It's been a little while feel like I just saw you yesterday I watched the show constantly and I've spent probably more time watching you guys than anybody else in the universe. Way Dave you still watch the show even though you edited the show and had to watch the show in great detail for like ten years of your life you can still stomach watching it. Yeah, there's still a long. I watch a lot of indication because it's on. Like I don't seek it out but like you know even when you're scrolling the guide on your TV, it's like Oh office I clip to see what episode it is in inevitably just get sucked in. It's amazing though have so many kids watch the show. Now my nephews are tended eight and and they watch the show they love it and they came to visit the set. They have no recollection visiting the set or anything I'm like I have pictures of you guys. I had to throw you off the set. You were running around and diving on the floor. You know Dave I stole the show Bible when the show wrapped but I think you are walking show Bible I think you. Are The show Bible in human form. I don't think there's anyone who knows more about the details of our show than you. So we're really excited you're here that's a lot of pressure I gotta say at one point I know the show better than anybody but it's been a few years I. See I see now like Trivia questions and just what fans right and I'm like Oh God Yeah I. Don't remember that I've been check on that and stuff like that. Well, the fans are super excited. You're here Dave and they send in tons and tons of questions for you and we cannot wait to just dive into it I'm excited. Should we do a deep dive with Dave Rodgers Deep We'll the first thing we always like to ask people how did they come to get their job on the office? Worked as an assistant editor in television for longtime I started on Seinfeld and then after that, I did a show called the newsradio No newsradio eleven newsradio. I. Cut the clip show first Seinfeld. So have you ever watched the hour long clip show that aired right before the series finale that was my first solo editing credit than it. newsradio is an assistant editor but I started editing as well. But the line producer was a man by the name of Kent Zoo born, AC? Yeah. So Kent was Kent. Was Line producer in we always stayed in touch in worked on other projects with him, and then at some point I I was back at Seinfeld I was working on all the extras for the DVD's can send me an email to hey, I've got a series for you. Take a look. Here's the pilot I. Think it'd be a good fit. The show rumor Greg Daniels to sit okay I watched the pilot and I was like and I hadn't seen the British version of the show I hadn't. I hadn't watched the British version or anything like that I was coming in completely fresh and I watched the pilot and I was like my God just the way his relationship was so cringe. Just relationship especially with with the you. At the beginning with the messages and and. Just the way he would, he would talk to you and everything like that. Now, we can turn on a dime. You're like, you know just even in that seed with the with the salary. Yeah. We could all use a raise and he's like not today Pam, not today and. I just. I was like Oh my God. So I met with Greg I think I met him at the set. You know I think they were writing their offices there. So I was the original building down down off Las Vegas, Jefferson is the season one location. Yeah. Yeah. We just we just sat outside and talk to just about our philosophies. Greg is philosophies on editing in shows and things like that and. I just think I really understood the characters right away. I said I could see Dwight having a battle, start the lactic of Viper on his desk like Star Trek was to mainstream and cool for. Dwight. Like we were you did you plant the C for Battle Star Galactica for Dwight as a character I do take that I have been credited with. Oh my gosh, and then at about the time like season one. Season Two I think the new GALACTICA had started airing. So that's that's really kind of you know came together. You know the final episode that I directed the penultimate episode Dwight Hangs Eight galactica model in his. In his office and he even says things about a little Philip. He's like he looks at the Galactic of the same way I do and you know it's great it just all kind of came together. Then I got to got to deal with battle star. GALACTICA. Well, this is a deep dive. Man I didn't even know there was an old versus new, Galactica. Loop I am disappointed in owner I'm release a day. Right now oh, my God I was just GonNa say so I met with Greg and that was it. We just we just hit it off and he's like all right come on board. So that was it and then I started. My first day. There was the first day of shooting diversity day and. That was it I started editing on diversity day and I tweaked the pilot a little bit but it was. Katherine him off who who edited the pilot and she did she did an amazing job on that and so I I just came We changed a couple things for for broadcast very slightly, but I started from from a diversity day to the finale. Okay well, listen a lot of fans wanted to know about your process date like when you sit down to start editing an episode. What's the first thing you do when? Like when you get all of the footage from an episode? How many hours of footage do you get? How do you organize the footage I? Mean how do you begin to build an episode? There's a couple of different ways that. I would you know start? Attacking. As. We would say one wasted to just start watching dailies just start watching the footage and. I'll just watch takes and I I may write down notes and sometimes I'll just you know just scribble little things like, oh, I like this pam reaction are all this was great. You know we got the shot on on Angela or Kevin or you know whatever was And then other times I like as I'm watching if I see something like that, take a Lotta time takes a few takes to really get in but sometimes you know you get that magic I take two little face but then I'll just throw it into the the the time line and I'll I'll lay it in and then it's a question of like, okay. What beats this what what part is better because you can lay in a whole take all right now I'm GonNa, take it even line by line and just see what beats this. What's you know is there any takes better better? and. Then you're you're looking for reactions in your looking for even all to jokes, things like that. But a lot of times you know there's a natural flow to a take. So you you get it. You you lay it in you know large portions we don't cross takes. It's just like Oh this is it there they hit in their rolling you know and sometimes. You know some of the things we would do is a you know if there's a reaction that slow or something like that on you know we're one angled and we go to the other we can pull pull stuff up or or if there was a pause in dialogue I, can come to a reaction and I can bring the audio in a little earlier just. To pace things up a little bit but but overall, just you know just looking what are the what's the best hake? What's funny? What makes me laugh and that's you know that's what I go with I remember being on set in we would take that felt fantastic like we were in the groove and then and then whoever the director was or would say. Oh circle that one VEDA. So you would get those from. Beta right like you would get all of those documents like this was Greg's favourite take of the.

Moo-Dunnit: How Beef Replaced Bison on the American Plainsand Plate
"Nearly, all the hamburgers in America today come from cows that spend at least part of their lives on the Great Plains that famous open range in the. American. West. So that is where we will go to start our story today to the American West before it was American before Europeans and their horses started showing up there in the late sixteen hundreds. So before there were cattle and before kind of United States had control of the planes in the. West you had a variety of American Indian policies, groups like the Comanche themselves essentially a very powerful empire across the West and they were hunting bison numbers for that time are kind of hard to come by. But it's estimated that there were about thirty to sixty million bison roaming through the middle of north. America. These are big grazing animals and what they can do is they can turn the abundant grasses of the West into animal flesh which then hunter's. Can Eat and so they become the foundation of the economy whenever I'm in the same spot as a cow I'm always kind of amazed at how big they are. But Bison is a heck of a lot bigger and faster. They can run about thirty five miles an hour faster than most horses, and they can pivot on both front and back hooves and literally turn on a dime. These are terrifying and dangerous creatures. It's not the kind of animal you'd. WanNa meet on foot and other key thing about them is that they're herd animals. So they gather at times massive herds, massive herds that would have represented a very appetizing dinner plus some warm and sturdy buffalo-hide imagine writing towards a herd of kind of terrifyingly huge bison if you're safely on horseback but how did native communities had them before horses very carefully so you could really only do it in the spring or summer when Bison gathered together to mate. You would do it on foot and you could work as a group, but it was difficult. You couldn't really do it fulltime. You could hunt by some kind of part time before the Horse, the planes really belong to the. Bison. But we now think of as plains tribes actually lived on the edges of the planes combining a little small-scale hunting with some farming. But once you had horses than well-coordinated hunters could hunt the animals very efficiently. The horses came with the Spanish. The native communities got a hold of some of those horses and horses quickly caught on they even changed the politics of the region, the communities that had more horsepower like the comanche kind of took over and they. Would kind of dominate everybody else and basically built these very successful empires empires that were built on Bison, hunting them and trading them with European settlers on the east coast. So people like the Comanche Kiowa were very successful from horseback and they may have actually been causing slow population declines in Bison. The story I heard him school is that white people killed off all the Bison and the truth is they did but the bison were already under a little bit of extra pressure. Thanks to the horses that white people brought. But waited until the spread of ranching and Commercial Bison hunting from Euro Americans to really collapse and by one thousand, nine, hundred, there's only maybe three hundred bison left. The West from at least thirty, million bison to just three hundred and about fifty years that by some more systematically wiped out in only a few decades thirty million bison were eventually replaced by thirty million cows de Bison izing roses really got started in the mid eighteen hundreds when people of European descent or beginning to move out west of the plains and start settling there. It was all sorts of people particularly I when it was scale so When what is Texas belong to Mexico you had lots of Mexicans who are setting up ranch's then you've got kind of poor white settlers anglos coming into the region setting things up as the American civil war approaches you got people who are kind of second and third sons of wealthy southern plantation families who can't inherit the family plantation and so they kind of go west to a place like Texas to set up kind of these small scale ranch's. Looked out at the planes and they thought, okay there are huge rangy creatures that live there why not replace them with other huge rangy creatures but why didn't they just stick with the bison that were already living there bison meat is freaking delicious and there is more of it per animal because Beissner. Bigger and bonus bison more already perfectly ecologically suited to the native. Grasslands and climate conditions. That's a really interesting question. I've I've thought about it a lot because in some ways, bison would be a very natural animal to raise. But then when I was reading diaries and things, I found that these people they were kind of disgusted bison they didn't view that as an animal that could be farmed. They saw it as a wild animal. and. So what's interesting about that is on one level people go with what they knew. Euro. Americans know about raising cattle, but another thing gets into their ideas of what is civilized and Dave you. The Bison is not the kind of animal that a civil in their minds a civilized people would raise and so cattle is the way to do it. So

And he stared at down a little bit and. Dodgers Dave Roberts was not pleased. He said, I don't mind guys admiring a homer. Certainly, it's a big game big hit. Robert. Said after the game I really liked the player I just felt that to over kind of stay at home plate certainly against a guy like Clayton who's got the respect of everyone in the big leagues and what he's done in this game, I took exception to that because I think there's a certain respect that you give a guy like that if you homer against him. People I think then said, well, wait a minute the dodgers. Made. Member when they hit the home run off Madison Bumgarner didn't they turn it into a t shirt that they kind of. Sat there and. We moved the proceedings to the next room and and and we lay down and then things are going and and it's all happening and skip to the Lou My Darling all of the fucking sudden wage at the moment of truth. She bites me on the shoulder. Okay, and she latched in like you know, my blood had the Cure in it. Okay, just say I wasn't kind of freaked out by the dude this was you know, I've been I'm old enough to say I've been around a little bit. But I didn't read that. You know, I'm a biter whip me beat me make ride hot chicks. I didn't get that vibe off this chick. I got a kind of cool, but all of a sudden man, she just got in her eyes were shining and she was just I swear to God. I think might have heard a growl once. I don't know. Yeah, I think I might have heard a growl once and she let loose and it was like a fucking movie man. We had a little bit of light there and I could see your teeth in her teeth were like glowing fuking red and I'm going to this page I got to get some new weed cuz this old stuff is just it ain't working me write or something, but something's wrong man. I do too. I think imma werewolf. I mean, not really really I mean I'm a conspiracy guy and all that but Something's wrong. I mean never wanted to like eat my grandchildren before well, we'll day Dave. Yeah. Listen. I had a feeling that I knew that this was what you were going to say. I can tell you I can tell you it has nothing to do with the weed. Okay? Yeah, dude just from everything that you're telling me. They're one hundred one hundred percent aware wolf. You know that's happening. So you're just going to have deal with that. Okay? Okay. I mean, it's cool. You don't have to worry about it. There's there's more of a life out there. Yeah, why yeah, what yeah. Yeah. Yeah, man. I'm a werewolf to I'm sorry. I never told you, you know, I know we've been friends for a while now, but I mean, it's it's real. I just didn't know how you would take it. So I just I figured it wasn't too important. You know, I mean we get along okay, you know, it's never wage has been an issue with a couple of friends, but I figure you know, I'm like what we have going here with this whole, you know, the the store the planet raconteur thing has been going good, but I'm telling you dude. It is fine. Everything is going to be fine. You know, I mean look at it yourself under look at your shoulder is healed, right? Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean that's one of the perks of being a werewolf man, you know, these injuries they kind of heal up. And I mean that's not the only thing you know, there's other benefits as well. But I'm going to tell you this right now though. Don't let your kid don't need the grandkids. Don't do that. Don't do that. I know you feel the urge man, but it's going to be okay. Just trust me. They're okay cuz I know what I'm talking about. I know I told you my age before but I'm actually a lot older than what I've actually told you. So I've been around for a while and it's going to be good man. There's a lot of us out there. Wait, yeah, we're wolf. I'm a werewolf, but it's cool. I'm not the only one you're aware wolf too. So don't freak out too much. It's cool is going to be fine. It's going to be fine. There are a lot of us out there man. And you know, we all get along manners like a community. We kind of look out for each other, you know, and you're one of us now and it's cool. Don't sweat it. So I should take this chicks call as what you're saying, which I haven't been doing the last few days off. We going to want talk her man for sure. You know, I mean if for no other reason just to confirm but you know, just from what you're telling me it sounds a hundred percent but she's I'm sure she's real cool down a protocol even lower man. I forgot to even ask you that but trust me it's going to be okay. Or a werewolf werewolf, man. Oh shit. Yeah, it's okay. Don't freak out man. I've been aware wolf for a long time and I'm good with it. Okay, you're going to have to excuse me, cuz I'm have to pick my brain up off the floor and just a little I'm a little verklempt on this one brother. I know I understand man. That's kind of a hard thing for some people to get with men, but it's it's totally okay. Trust me. You're going to enjoy it man. Just give it a little bit of life. You're going to love it. Trust me. Wow, okay..

"My life. So I'm just glad i. get the opportunity I. Don't know if you're recording whatever but you know if MOCHA here this I've said it to him. I've said it to other people August. Easy I'm easy giving credit where credit is due. So Mo Mo is forever has a place in my heart and I know this gets a little money on this I'm a little money on this because I know that you have said to me you're the one that told me about dukes. Oh It was the fucking the the craigslist. I thought it was a woman Cheryl Pierce or something like that. I thought she had told me that. So listen and I'm a man of a certain age and I'm a man of a certain age with an older memory. So things got a little bit foggy but you know if you tell me that you told me about this craigslist and I believe you. 'cause I could us when we had a conversation Why don't you go I thought I had suggested why don't you go talk to the guy and you run the open Mike and you weren't into it for some reason? No. Yeah. I saw and I was like Oh. This'll be cool for Dave to do because like I I don't think that at that time I could have done anything like that because like I wasn't fully developed invested and and then like, and I always looked at you as a guy who was like was like so natural and the way I talked to people that like it was it would be a lot easier for you A. Lot. Easier for you to do that just not not only been people up but the way your personality is on stage it. It of raising you know. More. Yeah. Well, thank you very much there by the way I think now you know you would be great at it. It's definitely a specialty. You're great at what you do stand up. Yeah. Don't talk about it on the show, but you'll graded stand up and I haven't heard the last nine ten interviews say anything about that. I think maybe John said something but you're great stand up you really are and You know. Without, a doubt if I could do anything for you know if I could you waiting view you? I'm no longer in the business. That's why I'm on this show. Comics in the sad part about you doing all these interviews, what's going to come of it? Nobody's in the business anymore to help you. Out Everybody's out but anyway, but you never know but yeah, I would do anything if I could. And you've come a long way, 'cause you grow as a person and a personality. So but hosting is really something that's totally false hosting is completely different like. Once I once I got like the kind of idea that like a one thing and and when I created that show upstate whatever at your house, like that was like my real Kinda Kinda go into a whole thing and I think I think it might have been also the comedy works the up there when. WanNa. Contest it's one of those things but like. Once you recognize what your personality is. You know then then then you can go there and do it. But like I realized that my personality as as a host in as standup are are two different things and so like learning how to have that energy up up front as as a host is is so fucking draining that like I. Do, it's fucking like like by the by the end of the show I feel like I feel like I've I've just done like a torn Iraq like that's. It's a lot. It's a lot. So you know. Even even even if someone kind of Fox up you, you still got like take that and then bring the show back up that with the next person has like you know a good foot in you know it's A. Crazy crazy thing of obese. But now I learned it literally, I'm not the best at hosting right now like I'm not like the best host, but I know how to be a good host where people be like you'll what this this was. This was an awesome show. Yeah. You know it's so funny to say that because I really never felt any of that and I'm not saying that to Brag. But I think it was out of ignorance. It wasn't because I'm so cool. Yes. I'm like I don't know I'm just doing what they're. What am I do I guess I just bring up the next guy in you know and also wow I talk more to do more stand up and I never had any material. So we just talk whatever came out of my head Blah you know. They opened my mouth. I would breathe. It's like that Eddie Murphy movie was that Dave what was that when he's into guys Ed. Oh Yeah and Dave. No. No. No, it's not meet Dave I. Don't. Like Alien? Yeah. I've got name of that movie. Yeah. Well, it's. Murphy. Some of them were forgettable but. He just you know he did some bums but that's okay. Yes. So anyway so it's like. The voices of my head you know there was A. Movie inside out whatever you know. Voices apparently tell me what sailor you just want him saying nothing you're right. It's. Meet Day actually. Dave Ya Ya. Look at you doubting my Eddie Murphy Film. Knowledge I know my Eddie Murph- Eddie. Murphy bums. I never saw it. I never saw it because the reviews bad I never went but and wait a minute wasn't okay. It's not your typical Eddie Murphy movie but like it wasn't a bad movie, you know it was very different for at the time you know. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So anyway, but yeah but it was fun to do and by the way getting paid for it was really great and. I got I got paid a certain amount for a while and then got paid another amount for the last while and I was like I always had money in my pocket. Yeah. I had money and I like I wouldn't leave it in my sock drawer carrying around and they were tired I was walking around with a couple of hundred dollars in my pocket. I was like this is great. You know a truck of a truck driver during the night and I'm also well. I can't say I was a comedian during the day. So I was doing both which was not a great idea, but it was great having that money and by the way I don't know if this is true but I would always tell people it's not that I brag about it but it would come up in conversation I considered myself and I could be wrong. But I considered myself the second highest paid comedian in the Albany capital district area for that entire time. Based on the numbers of what I was getting paid on a Saturday night. which was a little bit more than bill and I don't know what the kids are calling today but I'll call it a bill. Bill. Times that by fifty weeks forget about fifty two times that by fifty weeks you know I don't know what Greg was getting for his shows but nobody else was. That other guy was doing that other show I don't know if anybody was making five thousand dollars a year or you know. Other than me. I don't know I think I think like everyone was pretty much focus on on. Trying, to do comedy and stuff but like. I tip because comedians and never really like really I guess the the young ones anyway I, never really focused on trying to get money for the trying to get the time do whatever. Yeah so So that was it. I was like, wait a minute at some point I think on the second highest paid con I mean it doesn't get you a job I don't go.

"An amazing rapper. He's a fantastic improviser. Super Funny. But he still has his he. So earnestly says the most hyperbolic things about himself always say keep that I. Love that because how do you date someone like that? How do you rule with someone like that, and that's the show speaking of Dave's personality and experiences. I was curious how jeff could possibly comb through Dave's memory database and select goes in the show. Is there any boundary of what's to sacred and should be left strictly personal or is everything just fair game? So Dave and I started talking I just said Dump looks dump all your stories into a bucket. Let's see and and let's make smaller buckets. Let's make a season one, but you're not famous at all, and then because he has a lot of stories, the show trails is liked by like five or six years. So he has all these stories that are happening now. That's your way to famous like no one knows who you are in the beginning of. So that has to go to the side. And then he started to tell me things like while i. need to tell you about you know my penis and I said, he said, and he's told me about said that this is a secret like no one knows about this. Please don't tell anyone and I said, okay, except this is going to be the first scene of the series. He goes really and I go. Yeah. That's the very first thing. I want people to know. and. He did it and it's amazingly disarming and I think one of the things people love about the show like our touchstone was our north star was authenticity and he's beating so authentic and so vulnerable and same with data, and they're not hiding behind a character. They're playing versions of themselves. So they're just standing there going misses me. I. Think People Really responded to that. But that wasn't even your original question about what stories go in and what stores go out. The interesting thing was the original concept of the pilot was completely different. It was it was a moment that was super important. David was the biggest moment of his life. It was the moment that he hit San and sent out his first video and it went viral instantly, and he said the biggest moment of his life because it's the day he came, we always thought he could be. And that was the original concept to the pilot and started to talk to Fx they very wisely said. I Dunno origin stories are sort of boring. We know what's going to happen. and. And since you know what's going to happen and you know he's going to, he's going to be success. Everyone else just seems like a stick in the mud and. I started thinking. You know they're hundreds of right. So we moved to like four weeks later because four weeks after you've had a big viral video, you're just a guy who had a viral video for weeks ago. And you're, not legitimate you're not anything. So. It was just a much more interesting place to start. Thinking back to my conversation with Dave, I wanted to know from Jeff's perspective. What about this show has made it so successful and also has brought it to a much wider audience than just the original. Lil. dicky. Fans it. Really all comes back to the theme of the show and of Davis, a man authenticity. A lot of people whether they knew little dicky's music videos or whether they've never heard of little dicky were surprised at how much the show had to say. and. I think it is those moments that you just mentioned those moments just like like open chested vulnerability. That field. So Real I. Think people really responded to that stuff and I think we were able to do a mix of. Really, sincere and emotional stuff, and also really shocking extreme comedy stuff. But I, don't think the shocking extreme communist of would've worked with that underpinning of authenticity. AM and like, and this is what life is really like. The show David has. A. Has A fan base that's not limited at all now, two little Dickie fans, and I think because of because it's different than the videos and Dave to his credit didn't want to do a show that was just another one of his videos you wanted to do a show. It really talked about him and talked about these other issues. I mean. He's right this sort of nexus of all these complicated things. I mean, he's got, there's body image stuff. There's there's masculinity stuff. There's appropriation stuff. There's race I. Mean. He's a white rapper in a predominantly black field is all of these things that were so charged and he wanted to go right at them and I think. But we don't the important thing press was not to go right at them in a preachy way. It did none of these. Felt like a very special episode of you know they end the way to do that is to come at them in a very, very personal. And by doing something so personal, you actually talk about something very universal. Now, curb is actually the same thing. It's just comedy, right? So Larry is dealing with the little things that everybody like has to deal with and and he's dealing with his own way, and so for an audience for curb people either saying like they see Larry, do something they see a situation and they say either. That happened to me before man I. Wish I. Could I yelled at him like that. I wish I could have killed at that pig parker or they go. Done that I'm good barker I am. Jeff has a lot of experience working with creatives who are the center of their own show from Jerry Seinfeld. Larry. David and now Dave. Bird. So how does he build the trust needed to pull off these shows? I mean you build that trust by working with them every day and being right? I mean these shows like curb is curb is such a collaborative. Thing in every scene is alive rewrite. So if I'm directing and writing and like when writing, it's just let Aaron. I. And we've known each other for a long time. But that got built up over like sort of proving yourself as you know as Alec Berg and I were. Story Editors Seinfeld, and like Oh, we can use this script. That's a good story in. And just bothering him at how to do every little thing. The, comedy comedy is so collaborative that you need to be able to have someone next to like for me these. These are the most value added value added performance, Larry. Dave I. Mean. They just have all of this stuff to say and I've got a lot of stuff to say, and we're just sitting there like going at it and. The. Nice thing Larry. Who is so sure of what's. Good. Or bad like on his on his thermometer, he'll. He'll try anything that he's like, oh, he'll try this try that he's confident enough to try almost anything, and if it works, it's great and it's in. So it's just years of doing that. But they know also with the actors like especially when you're doing improv. They trust me. We're GONNA put in the editing room and only use the best parks. and. The Level of. Trust, for the cast and me for Kerber David. We're going to come up with something really funny today. Like here's an outline, the stories. Funny. You guys are funny I'm funny. We're GONNA. We're GonNa make something great I don't know what it's going to be quite yet. It's not going to be what I thought it was going to be, but it's going to be. Right, so would you say trust is kind of what you attribute to successful partnerships? Yeah, well, it's also having an aligned focus. So Jerry Larry taught us how to do everything, but they also taught us the most important thing which is they were worried about one thing. What's.

"You're too angry I was who would want to have sex with me Dave I was bitter and angry for six months with no matter what my libido was I don't know I didn't make any of those notes in the notes that I was just miserable and two brothers they they say they like to do it again for a longer period with more variables and actually get a good study going because they only did for how long they did it for a month which is still enough to see yeah change I want to do it for six months now they need to have a full blood work panel too they didn't do a yes chant like they didn't measure testosterone to find out of testosterone fell you know during that I think that would be an interesting thing especially and their point is look we're identical twins were the perfect people to experiment on it you get the feeling that neither of these guys are gonna cheat they're going to do it exactly the way it's supposed to be done because they genuinely want to know that's how I'd be if I had a twin what do you do cool stuff if you are an identical twin like that when you do cool stuff like that I would I never thought of having an identical twin it would be kind of scary I thank do you know a lot of people were twins at it'll you know do you do you you don't know I have I went to school with some identical twins yeah I have four sets of twins that I am still friends with from childhood college whatever and two of them are very very very close and two of them despise each other and have nothing identical or just yes the identical okay they're identical which makes the whole despising so weird but I asked one of the women that I know who does not speak to her identical sister I was like I don't know what's the deal with that she's like when you grow up with a mirror sometimes you never want to see it again and I thought that was kind of interesting and that's all she said and I didn't push it I I just think that for some people not ever feeling like you have your own identity becomes too much I don't think I'd enjoy especially during childhood wearing the same clothes everywhere because we're twins isn't that cute no it's not even that it's being referred to in the collective form you don't so which one are you told that yeah or the twins they're the twins but then I did two other sets of twins that I know they're my age and they are one of them lives next door to his brother I mean they're very very very close and their families are very very very close and they'll be that way till they die so I just find it interesting I don't have any twins that are just you know no just just normal close with their so I don't know they either hate each other at their super close there seems to be a weird disconnect there I don't know I've I've talked to twins that have said things like I can't imagine my wife without the other person like I it's beyond my ability to comprehend because they've been there the entire time and when your twin does die that's gotta be incredibly tough for the other one yep yep right or just yeah I just rather have a regular sibling I thank I like my siblings for the most part when we get back we've got a couple things one no tick tock did not kill the trump rally actually want to talk about that I don't care I don't care I I just think that the trump rally was poorly attended for a variety of reasons one of which is that trump supporters are not idiots and they didn't necessarily want to be crowded into a venue if you look at the numbers of people who watched it online millions of people watch that rally millions of people it's not like people weren't interested they just didn't want to go I also have proof that too much exercise will kill you yep it's the one I found this yup we will talk about that after this but first season we can we have the news there for media the White House says the president is very pleased with the Tulsa rally turnout and he was just kidding about slowing down testing for coronavirus I've got all the details for you coming up at two thirty right here on KOAA news radio eight fifty AM at nine four one FM just stories we cover stories that matter to you a place for my family Americans want Connie back on track actually my health nineteen is still very real Colorado do what you need these things are very important if it matters to you it matters to us carry away news radio guys if you are in the market for a new bad maybe you're sleeping on the old taco you know what I'm talking about you lay in the.

weird I see so much more in a line outside I have to shut the window I what your windows open it's air conditioning season Dave by the way I don't care if it gets down to like fifty degrees during the day I'm not turning my I I can't but these are killing me this year this is the worst year ever to have allergies because now if you're anywhere you sneeze everybody looks you like I know I have allergies the same allergies I have every year but thank you for noticing this year as I sneeze into my own math okay here's a question Dave I've been meaning to ask and I've forgotten to right now yes what is this sneezing etiquette when you're wearing a mask now in theory the mask is there to catch all the droplets right to keep it from spilling them into the air but then if it's an especially moist sneeze is full I don't give a crap what what do you do in that situation because let me I have a solution what what is it simple solution keep one in your pocket in one on your face now you're talking about being prepared boy scout not all of this is is good as David is you only have one NASCAR you get up to did you get a bunch of paper masks okay I was going to buy some paper masks off Amazon in the theory that maybe I'd be able to read write better than I can breathe in these cough mask because I'm not clock master not working for me and I'm now try like four five they're just not it's not it's not working for me so I'm about to go off what was that how the paperwork for you that paper probably would have worked better but the paper also does not stop the transfer viruses as I was about to hit the hit the buy button it's like yeah in tiny letters just not just not spread fire does not stop the spread of viruses it's the purpose now doesn't it special that they don't so I didn't buy am but I think I am because I I don't even care I just want to be able to breed still trying to adapt thank god we don't have a job were required to wear him every time I see like servers walking around and that you know people doing active jobs wearing masks I just want to go along sorry my story about very fortunate for that yeah many other reasons but yeah that definitely that's not what I wanted to talk about this hour I got a couple stories on the blog but I want to talk about starting with the identical twins these two guys super athletic guys one of them is a personal trainer did there they do all this stuff together as twins right they've climbed mountains and they do YouTube videos or whatever is there thing I don't even know why they're famous but here we are anyway they decided to experiment by going on to a completely different diets one of them became a vegan which means no animal products whatsoever no animal by products nothing that did not come from Mother Earth is a part of the indictment the other one did the carnivore diet which is neat meet and some veggies meat meat veggies very little veggies and they follow the exact same workout regimen because one of them is a personal trainer and that they ended up showing the results online now Angie I'm gonna ask you this one of the brothers went on a vegan diet one of the brothers went on a an omnivorous diet carnivore mostly carnivore meat and vegetable vegetables and they ended up having two different results one of them lost more fat and had a lot of energy and the other one gain more muscle I didn't really have a change of his energy but he also gain more fat he gained fat as part of this process but when you look at them side by side I gotta tell you I like the meat eaters physique a little bit better than the vegan to see because he has more muscle mass I'll take a little extra little extra layer of fat and I'm I'm not even looking at this in a in a sexual fashion I'm just saying which one I I find more visually appealing in that way your most important elements however and that is this is why every guy in the audience even though he okay it's very appealing to think I'm gonna have more energy and lose a lot more fat but the vegan guy also lost his libido completely yeah said it just fell off a cliff it's funny as he goes I don't know why could it be that we get things in the form of amino acids and hormones frankly by eating meat that you do not get from eating vegetables not to mention you got it you know do you feel like a wuss when you're when you're eating a vegan diet you know Ryan from my Broncos country tonight he's begin his knee injury yeah he is here for health reasons so asked about his libido tonight on the show edgy I think that'll go well he's going to get so embarrassed to be read a whole lot out back to life tell them that you have to ask on my behalf that you would never ask such an embarrassing question but maybe on the other hand hundred percent I would ask that question but I need you to do it because I'm busy I got stuff I got things you.

"Dave I wanted to just mention to the audience here something that's happened a couple times to me over the past month is that people called in and you know we we always do this financial inventory basically when we're interviewing somebody just to kind of get a picture of of really what they already have and what their goals are and so forth and twice in the last month I've had we've had somebody call that they they share this information with us and I said you know what you already have a raft in there like I do I didn't know that and that the problem was that they didn't know how to use that they didn't know really how to maximize an and that after a certain number of years and different options should be made and and and so forth and and the neat thing is that we were able to kind of look back at that account and say you know what we can maximize this by doing certain things you know request different allocation changes and so forth to really maximize in and it's just such a great gift to them that they can call our office and that we know how to maximize that for them right even if we didn't set it up for them we can that we can help them with that and we're happy to do that this is the service we offer obviously there's no financial reward in it for us or the company anybody that you know that we help but that's sad with reviewing work you know this this is that's exactly right I mean that this is why reviews are so important so if you set up you know personal pension plan or if you have a four one K. or IRA or you know any of these kinds of accounts and you're not doing reviews with your financial adviser I would say that your financial adviser is not serving as a proper fiduciary because as a fiduciary we know that things change circumstances change and so forth and so on and then from year to year things may be different that might be better or that we may want to write you know pull the reins in in you know my possibly make some changes internally me and the strategies that we set up so these are very very important things to do and as fiduciaries Loretta my pride ourselves in B. and the ability to do that and help people whether or not you're our client or you are our client will still help you okay and so we've done that plenty and we're happy to do it and you know from time to time we get referrals from people that you know we don't even have an account with people say you know it's just something you know but this ten years ago or five years ago and and I really haven't you know heard from my advisor I really don't know what what it is and so we'll be able to explain Hey this works like this and we can maximize it this way and you know the route strategy itself I mean when we first heard about this sixteen years ago it I just I grasped on it because I I love the way that it can multi purpose my money so one of my clients a couple years after we had started offering Nissen and helping people with their retirement in this manner she said to me I love my RAF strategies reef a raft down for retirement approach free of tax and it's a properly designed and funded indexed universal life contract she says I love it because it multi purpose is my money if I die too soon then my family's taken care of with the ballooning documented of Venice of course and it's going to be going tax free to them and then I can also create this tax free distributions later on for my retirement which is huge I mean when you're putting in a hundred thousand dollars in an investment and then later on you can pull out twenty thousand dollars a year for the rest of your life that's pretty amazing and then of course if you're get L. or sec then you can have access immediately to even almost up to ninety percent of that death benefit that's available to you so that you're really protected in all areas of your life and so we want to be able to get an illustration is based on your situation and see if the RAF strategy is for you and of course personal pension plan everything we can get the book into your hands and illustration based on your needs by simply giving us a call at eight six six five four four seventy seven fifty five to.

Maybe maybe this show is going to have some growing pains because like I can't come out of this with a definitive if that's correct or no absolutely not, but I think. Again we should set up a hotline which is the Dave is wrong hotline? We'll get a different. Given different phone number. That's just people going. You are fucking Dave. You're wrong, wrong. I'm amy was in it, but you you or shitting in the bed. I mean look. Part of Things changing and growing is that we're GONNA. Be Wrong. I, don't care. That's great. Let me wrong like but I think. The, cancel culture shaming. That's happening right now from every angle and every person hot like it has got to stop no one no one is going to feel. Comfortable or like they can act like I. Honestly, there have been so many people being like stop doing this. Don't do this only do this. Stop like and it's white. Eagles a white people in his white people to other and I'm just like we have got to stop like that is not helpful if you're acting as as if we know other people need to do. We don't. Oh! I I'm the the white people. And it's I don't know if I've ever. said this before, but somebody that I talk about how. A boy. This is. Going to tell you about the white supremacists instagram people that found me a couple of months ago. I think you did yes on this show. Yes, you did. Okay. Yeah, well so I'm seeing a lot of people getting called out for the kinds of tweets that I wrote not in the in the time of like crazy or like an inspiring social uprising essentially, but just they found tweets of mine where I kinda just call myself. for being like an annoying white person I hate it when White People Blah Blah Blah and I think it's kind of important to not do that and to not kind of distance yourself from from other. Other, people that are essentially the same as you although I will say those wins firms is found me because they thought I wasn't white. They were like if you're Jewish, you're not white. And then that was what they were angry about. But that's a story for different time you know that I. Mean I don't. Talk about that. But but I'm just saying like I'm seeing a lot of tweets similar to the ones that I got called out for. BILITERAL white supremacists, but I'm seeing people being like way. People were so annoying and it's like I'm looking at your Avatar and you are a white person, and then I'm looking at their mentions, and you're getting called out for being a white person so yeah. It's a real. You know. So, let's say woof Woof to that and then tell me what your relationship and food updates are. If you have them, I do either really small, but my food update is. I'm I'm. Having that like Thank God I'm home feeling after having been on a road trip for like two days. They are two days home and let me tell you something the on the way. There I planned for some degree I didn't plan well, but I had enough snacks, but on the way home I did not have enough snacks and. I ate was so sad. I mean like. DRIED MANGO? Like a few cashews like Dave I ran out of food I I don't eat like fast food and I won't eat fast food. It I get Migraine so. I really a quite literally just like dried on the way home. It was bad. were, not able to stop it all. I was really cautious about stopping. Because like high high traffic, like in the middle of nowhere, the chevrons or the shell stations of gas stations were pretty heavily traffic through. You know like I was I was trying be careful. No one was wearing masks so I didn't go purchase a ton so I just like got some. I honestly even buy anything I. Guess I also wasn't that hungry, but Yeah, so I'm happy. To make do yeah. Yeah. I just had to make do I had like one green juice, but it was rough I. and my favorite food update was really nice to For the first time I tried Dutch grows coffee and their little drive through. That's only like inorder in California, and probably like organ and it's like a tiny little hutch, looking sort of Dutch drive through, and you get your coffee and it was so delicious. I'm GonNa Miss. Roads, but it's really Roku. Repeat little thing. I would love if they brought it to California. And relationship updates I I am on a dating APP. I got bored and just downloaded one I'm not sure if that was a good idea or not and We'll find out but I. I had a zoom date last night and do. I will say this. Guy Looks like a combination of two of my least favorite boyfriends. I just honestly found. Combination, combination just like in general you looked and it was like Oh. That's this guy is in this guy's forehead or or what? He looked like a, he looked like my two least favorite boyfriends.

"Know I have to say my weekend death thank you David yeah it's a nice with Dave I heard a great I think there's a great cover of that or I have heard a cover of that from to desk you trucks who also plays with them clapping all the time yeah which is I saw them at red rocks quick flight you really yeah it was they are spreadable so incredibly by truckers opened and to desk you tracks red rocks when inventions of everything incredible anyway Dave Wilson but we have a couple they're just so cool my next flight right yeah it's kind of what you want to be Susan Tedeschi yeah right all right Dave Wilson we know you've got a chart we'll get there well you don't have to learn to play guitar to figure out this one let's put it that way it's all about you know gross stocks I mean you know you look at the relationship between growth and value indexes you know you can pick the S. and P. five hundred if you want a broader look you can pick the Russell one thousand and you're seeing ratios between the two indicators back to where they were in two thousand when because she had that internet driven bull market that the nineteen nineties peaking so here we are again now the question is what about valuation and it's a question that the folks at bank of America specifically analyst Steven Stockmeyer Jordan young tackled in their latest research looking at the price earnings ratios for the Russell one thousand growth in value indexes and just doing a simple you know subtraction to produce a spread between the two and when you do that you find out sure the growth stocks are more expensive but nowhere near as expensive in relative terms as they were back twenty years ago when stocks were peaking so basically you know their take is that what we saw this week with the value stocks one of getting a bit of a rebound in relative terms no maybe it doesn't last for long because you know there's certainly enough room in terms of valuation for growth stocks to reassert themselves now I'll just point out so that you know you could run the same analysis with ratios and Michael guarded M. camp partners actually did that in a report out yesterday then you come to the same results are really doesn't matter whether you doing division of subtraction you end up in the same place with gross stocks more expensive but nowhere near as expensive as they were at the height of the market in two thousand other words Dave don't give up on growth stocks that's kind of the message here Carol and if you want to know more send me email I get to the chart the explosion occurs whether and everything I do going forward the email address is D. Wilson at Bloomberg dot net that's D. Wilson at Bloomberg dot net which do this weekend Dave Wilson you know that's a good question I haven't thought that far ahead mmhm she just gonna wing it right whatever time the okay you know the spirit tailbacks to lax what are you doing Karamazov Phil axing believe it or not with a bunch of virtual college tours lined up for tomorrow I think it's supposed to rain time okay we want to do some painting outside so maybe that'll be Sunday I'm not quite sure yeah what do you do yeah no hanging around in your machine listen to some music maybe listen to your podcast you could great podcast I do yeah it is a big podcast rich Paul what advice from agents in basketball who does he represent Brian James.

"Promo Code is podcast one so I guess we'll start Dave with just the lay of the land. I mean you are the head of marketing for an online betting operation and there's not a lot to bet on right now at least in the world of sports. What's it been like for you guys yet? Been a crazy few weeks. I mean just you know the NBA fallen off in March madness NHL NO MLB regular season. I mean that was just a it. Got Crazy got hectic we did a lot of scrambling in the luckily. I mean I I. Luckily we have a huge poker room and a huge casino both Verda Digital Casino and alive casino so numbers. There are through the roof. I mean we're setting records over there every week. The numbers are disgrace a Lotta people just taking their acts from raid into poker or casino in a lot. We're getting a lot of sinus. Because that to you know semi Peoria stuck in their homes without the Nadeau so they wanted to play a little poker blackjack at night so we're getting a lot of new sign ups which is awesome But yeah he you know sports is definitely taken a hit not gonna be. Seo Unique you lose march madness in the end of NBA NHL seasons. And that's GonNa take a toll but we gyn creative or don't as much as we possibly can on we're putting as much content site as possible. We have more content than any other book out there Anything from you know to give you an example. After all these sports went down my boss and I just had a search what's going on in the world and there are leagues you know throughout the world that are that are still in action Russia. They're still playing hockey. They're playing volleyball and they're playing table tennis. So we're like okay. This Russia book has table. Tennis IS WE'RE GONNA put table there. We'll probably right at you bets. Whatever at least while some odds on the site Lo and behold I mean the actual getting on table. Tennis is is just amazing. It's it's IT'S INCREDIBLE. People are just betting in in the UAE. Bedding is through the roof for table. Tennis I keep Calling Ping Pong. That's essentially what it is but on twitter talking about some guy hit me under the table tennis. The best word to bet live because it's the score changes so quickly and it's you know the points are one after the other so who knows so your stuff like that and just you know? Were you know two weeks ago with Anna Friel? Nfl Free Agency. You know Tom Brady move into the buccaneers and people are are are betting the buccaneers to win the Super Bowl. So we're putting our content lot more. Nfl draft stuff. Usually we have the odds up that the week before. The drags are so hard for us to manage. But I mean we have over fifty draft props upright down. They've been up for about three weeks now. So we're just as much content and say it's possible people are betting it. Does it make up for no march madness absolutely not but but it's keeping players busy. You know all his gaming stuff that I raised. I racing on for NASCAR. The weekends has been great at so interesting to watch too. I'M NOT REALLY NASCAR guy. A metronome live never watched the entire NASCAR race. Split those erasing the. They've been quite interesting watching every weekend. So we're putting odds on that you name it. We're put nods up so that is so interesting about that Russia and the table tennis and stuff like that. I don't know how people bed about stuff that they don't know anything about but I'm sure like anything else. You can pick it up and figure it out pretty quickly. I did want to ask you Dave. I would imagine with all the quarterback movement in Free Agency. Stephen I've talked about this the last couple of weeks that it feels like more season win. Total lines have moved and moved dramatically. This free agency. Then maybe we've ever seen before because of all. The quarterback movement has that translated to a Lotta people placing beds. You mentioned Brady and the bucks that translated to a Lotta people placing bets. If so where they played in those bets. Yeah no absolutely free. Agent stuff like free agency or trades or even draft. It's always exciting. Time now not only be a fan but for our cause take take an action on futures as always ebbs and flows goes. We put them up. People bet on that it gets quiet than then free agency heads and people hit up and visit goes quiet trade hits it goes up up and down so yeah it was. It was pretty crazy last couple of weeks. You know with with all the free agency short enough. You Know Tom Brady. Go into the buffs. People are hitting the buccaneers over. And it be you know. Essentially moved from seven and a half of the nine On but on the other hand keep our hit the patriots under that went from ten and a half over a month ago. When everybody thought Brady was GONNA be back down to about nine. So so yeah. You're getting great action. The most popular season win total. Kinda give you refine idea of. Wha How people bet on the big moves it is the cardinals over so out obviously people are fitting that because you know they picked up Hopkins Right Guy that great trade. So that's the most popular over right now or most policies a win. Total is over seven and a half or the cardinals. That's like I said. That's definitely as Donna on Hopkins making over Arrigoni. So so yeah. It's a lot of fun. Also you know we put these totals up earlier at all as folks are really pushed each other so that that used to be back in the day season winter totals did not go up until after free agency often after the draft after the schedule but now always books are pushing each pushing each other to get a first that they've gone up a lot earlier with that you know there's going to be a lot more movement since folks are putting these up before free agency. Draft Etcetera. I gotTA think to. I've been seeing some of the over under for the draft. Dave I gotTA think I don't know how many people normally bet the draft but I gotta think this will be by far your most heavily bet draft ever and there's got to be you know to some of these wildcards. It makes even more interesting. Yeah huge names. Of course you're you're you're exactly right. Anything that's did draft is big. It's a big betting event. When I first started to address the odds way back when you know fifteen years ago or whatever it was just Kinda. Put HIM UP Keep talking about NFL on his little niche bent. But it's earned into a big betting event. You know events now that people come back to the site that you might not that might cash out after the Super Bowl. These football player football players COME BACK TO BET. So so yeah. There's that draft Beggar that that Donald the hell's going on his real sportsworld the bed on an ad that some these big names in it. It's going to be a colossal. Then we know we already have dow fifty odds on the on the site give or take a few It's GONNA BE WE'RE GONNA add to that probably another thirty. At least it's going to be our biggest offering ever. We usually don't have offering this big until the week of the draft and we already have it weeks out so we're excited about. It's going to be a big event very challenging event for us to to book. It's always. It's always a challenge to book these draft routes. But you know it's GonNa be a big event where we're thirsty for big events right now. Thank punks great. But it'll be great to talk about. Nfl Games Steve. You're saying I think last year didn't you say Steve that a lot of times? There's value betting the draft especially like a day or two before the draft is new. Information comes out and you have a pretty good idea of guys that are going to go higher lower. Yeah absolutely because remember the draft is predetermined for the most part. Someone knows someone who knows who they're going to be selecting given things go according oil so it's not like the game gift decided out on the field so that it is not unusual that you will see in the final day and this is reflected somewhat in the mock draft as well just to give an example Jordan love is free falling in terms of expectations in where he's going to go in the first round even if he's going to go in the first round and Herbert looks like he's going to be a top six pick and like one book out. There had matchup Herbert versus love. And it's not a guaranteed it's GonNa win but a match bet like that is such a good bet you'd be hard pressed to afoul the better. Bet that Herbert versus love in a match up in any Traditional sports bet that you would make and historically as the draft approaches. You're going to see more and more that you're just gonNA see a one player for instance they'll be like an over under might be thirteen and a half where he's going to go out and the draft and you're just GonNa see them free falling on the mock draft in the final twenty four hours and usually that projection is correct. And so then Dave you guys and we talk about this again in a few weeks but you guys have to be all over that as new information comes out and that's part of the challenge from the from the book. May I mean this year? Hopefully it'll be different since there's not a whole heck of a lot going on for guys on the stage but during a normal year. There's so many rumors that command. Steve said there's so much information that's out there. But you gotta dig it. Really gotTA DIG in. You know. There's so much else going. On at this time of year with the NBA NHL MLB et Cetera et Cetera et CETERA. And these guys on a prop stage I mean they they. They have all this other stuff that they can't just be. They don't have time just to be digging into these rumors and checking in on all these twitter rumors at sector. So it's kind of a you know we do the best we can but bettors can definitely beat us to the punch on strong rumors. And there's guys draft nuts out there digging digging digging digging believe me. I have these guys on twitter. The they're talking to me every year and I'm like Oh God here they come again and I know these guys. They live for events like the draft. Nba draft the NFL draft. That kind of stuff. They they're so good at it is. That's their love. That's what their passing. They're digging into a were our guys on the stage. Don't have the time just to keep digging digging digging twelve hours a day on where Jordan Love GonNa go. You know what I mean. So it's it's it's quite. It's quite a challenge but it's a lot of phone on our players love and I love it. I'm a draft guide. Nfl Guy so I love it too but don't want the numbers usually the next day. So what about Dave from like this upcoming weekend wrestlemainia because there's some similarities? I guess between that and the draft but wrestlemainia like I think they record it the day before or something but a lot of people are in a lot of people are gonNA be watching it. A lot of people are going to be betting on it. So what are the bets that are available and what kind of limits do you put on it? Considering there's got to be guys that we're in that studio no what happened. Yeah well first of all I mean we were happy that one of our guys on that stage whenever odds guy he he and his passion is professional wrestling so that that's a big asset for us. Because he knows his stuff inside now the story lines he can read in the storyline. He follows this stuff with a passion. So that's important a lot of folks don't want to touch this kind of stuff. We do you keep the limits low. I mean you're not gonNA offer as you might take a fifty thousand dollar bet on. Nfl spread and we're keeping the limits low fifty one hundred bucks. Because you know we don't. We don't WanNa have all of his accounts from Connecticut..

"Sports radio one of Dave what's your brother how you doing man I'm good man she was info we got eighty degrees out here I'm not sure where you guys are over there but I'm good all my god yeah I am I think tonight we did sell where I am it's I think it's like thirty one wins L. thirty mile an hour winds yeah no no okay come out here the regulation Dave I was just in Vegas and it was seventy and I've I've recently lost over a hundred pounds and I was actually a little chilly like yeah it's crazy how you lose weight and you lose the insulation and like sixty five degrees I want to sweat shirt but I still like a fan long sleeve shirt on I become an old person overnight so my temperature it's terrible I'm forty nine rolled out of like that is like eighty degrees throughout the lord might might Columbia coat that's not cool John the old no so basically it's it happens all of us well they lease the same boat so about that what do you got our party about a better hand size like look at Russell Wilson you know and and you know all those people there like shorter in there and like good hand side going understand the combine like you need attendance hand you know otherwise like all these young people are like come on man Russell Wilson and pondered what day did I hear here's what I think it is and and I dress this a little bit early you may not have been listening thank you friend I appreciate you it's really in bad weather like it is very interesting that you bring up Russell Wilson and I don't remember the Russell Wilson hand size but when I see you also will simply in bad weather he's pretty good at handling the football and that's where that kind of hand size can come into play in terms of holding what football and it's really the ability to spend it that's what it comes that there is a thought they'd with the hand size you can handle the football bad weather and the bigger the hand the ball smaller sure you can really fall like that thing off the fingers and get yourself some spin and that's what you want you want that tight spin on the ball to be able to cut through and go where you want plus the guys didn't really know what they're doing and I'm talking about Brees Brady these kinds of guys they have the ability to throw the ball down and away and I'm not talking about like right handed pitcher right handed batter down the way I'm talking about there's a guy coming over the middle and you don't want his head to get ripped off so you're going to throw it down in a way where the receiver can slide to make the catch but also get down to protect themselves the real essence of quarterback play in my opinion is tied into the ability to throw the football where you want to it's not so much when you throw it you can be laid on the ball as long as you're getting it to where you want to the great quarterbacks the great ones in the NFL in my opinion they have three things moxie they make people believe whether it's fans or the players and what's most important is the players somebody with moxie walks in the horrible and they have the undivided attention of the people in that whole more they walk out into the huddle with two minutes to go and it's hi boys let's go you know the old for those who've seen the movie the program bill Joe Cain because other women and children to bed and go looking for believe in dinner there's a little bit of that I need a quarterback with moxie I need a quarterback it is accurate and I need a quarterback I can think you give me those three things are quarterback I think I'm gonna have a lot of success and I can give you an example of someone who's a little sketchy on some of that it it's camera I like cam Newton the player I like his ability to present something different to a defense watch cam Newton throw the ball there's not a lot of touch there's not a ton of accuracy now I'm sure they'll be those who argue and be like Hey maybe thrown in the guy could catch it yes but are you throwing a juror receiver to where they have the ability to make the catch and do something with it are you throwing the ball to a receiver in a spot he gives you where say you're running a route down the sideline and at wide receiver correctly so ones that route say for three to four yards off the sideline sure you give the quarterback a little bit of variance there to kind of drop dead thing over the shoulder squeeze it would just bang it might squeeze it into the sideline and then the guy you can get the freedom to get out of bounds that's the kind of stuff but I'm talking about those are the quarterbacks the ultimately thrive and don't just survive in the NFL there are plenty of guys are talented who could throw it on a lake yeah well the ball seventy five yards down field if someone has the ability to run seventy five yards down the field and beat someone while doing it those days are few and far between in the NFL anymore now you need guys who can think you need guys who can operate an offense you need guys who can think ahead and say alright I normally get this crossing route but is the middle linebacker gonna be there ready to take out my crossing route wide receiver or am I gonna be able to wait a little bit in Chile runs by that guy and make sure the middle linebacker cannot the past down and I get into my little June bug wide receiver slide behind someone and I put it on him to where he can turn either protect himself or turn and make some make some Hey get some yards Fauria there's a lot that goes into evaluating quarterbacks more than just what we see on TV leadership is a big big issue for me when it comes to evaluating quarterbacks and that's why I use the word moxie because to me when you're a quarterback that has moxie not the terrible soda they sell in may when you walk into a room and someone says that's my guy that's my guy that's moxie walk into the meeting room if you have the ability to take over and captivate the room when you walk in the room there are other players on your side of the ball or not on your side of the ball better on your team who say that's my do remember Teo Crinan stuff I made fun of and there's no question but that's along the lines of the kind of connection that you want with the people we're gonna play the quarterback spot my quarterback that I had in college it's got a neighbor Chris Hixson who went on to he went into a couple camps he played in the arena league for a long time he's now created something called Q. B. I. Q. he's working with Trent Dilfer and stuff like that I had that feeling when I played college football bout him that guy got into the huddle we were all looking at you know sometimes you see a quarterback in the huddle and you could tell the dudes that are connected with quarterback or not this is an offense sulaimon in the huddle I just close my eyes and all I needed to hear in the play call was left or right so I knew where to line up as a tight tackle meaning I was a tackle always to the tight end side of the formation I wasn't right or left in our offense it was split or tight I was the type to tackle near the tight end and your quarterback had the ability to to kind of be like a maestro within our offense he ran for multiple years and it for me all I could do is be in the huddle close my eyes and hear writer laughed and what the number was on the play call that's all I needed to hear and for me I knew what to do by when you get into a two minute drill three start to look at your quarterback or that's restart the look to the guy for a little guidance a little a little push a little burst and you want to go on your card for that guy there's a lot of physical skills in evaluating the traits of quarterbacks there's also a lot of inherent skills the requires a lot of scouting a lot of investigation and I would dare say the shining example of what I talked about this year was Joe burrow like Joe burrow walked into a room and people believed he made them believe because you went out of play great I would dare say as we welcome in J. Berman they you know it's a lot like on the DA show when GA walks into that room they have the I mean location Palade DA has their attention he is that quarterback and then there's the rulebook as he walks in the room to try to gather them they're all like shut up with the chocolate off your fingers seriously but that like D. A.'s Joe borrow and the morass is more like no I'm trying to think of a crappy LSU quarterback jamarcus goalie jamarcus Russell not to March is the number one pick though razzle Guam on to that the the NFL jamarcus well there you go yeah yeah yeah yeah I had the same body type is more Marcus Russell whenever whenever he made it to the old NFL eight five five two one two four C. B. S. eight five five two one two four two two seven yeah is this a boring night for you in terms of the the world sports J. like only a couple NBA games a lot of smaller conference college basketball tonight there was a top twenty five games give me wrong there were a lot of good hockey tonight yeah you know what I wish I I love talking hockey it's like for real used to do it all the time I know and and I know he's a big part cat and all that stuff and I like my pox too but man it is so tough to talk kind of big picture in the world of hockey there's so many names and so many guys to try to keep up with that it's no less you're really immersed into your local team or you're just a you know hockey is your number one sport god dang it's hard to follow all the people I love hockey I will always love hockey but I will tell you and I will get right in line with everyone else and says it doesn't belong on sports talk radio it's just it just doesn't just doesn't work yeah I would I would agree with that and at all until the Cup finals only because you're down to wonder you're down to two teams what I think the Cup plus there's a level of excitement in the Stanley Cup playoffs than his own matched I I love plants and I love betting playoff hockey all my god the money you can make the playoffs are you really I'm I'm big into that and by the way three you know tonight and thanks a Lakers to come in and all I had a idle for team money line parlay on all the favorites tonight in the NBA Lakers OKC Indiana Philadelphia turned into a nice little profit by the way I know to score you will not be giving but in conference USA all I would like to thank our western Kentucky for pushing Louisiana tech to overtime and then covering the one and a half in overtime ninety five ninety one big win for me how about that yeah yeah yeah yeah I got going on in the old generasi front what do you play what your casino game of choice like I said the biggest Alpi gal poker when you go to a casino what you play while many of the boys have been locked in on craps of late it's tough on the bankroll yeah it's here's the thing and it's a lot like roulette in that if you can somehow and I know this sounds ridiculous but if you can somehow get up early the ball can roll the the snowball can sort of increase if you will if you lose out of the get go it's difficult because you're like you said you need a lot of money to win the one thing I've always appreciated about craps is that there aren't a lot of games in the house did you can bet with the house and that don't pass wind like it ticks people off of the table but man if you were there so many of it again the casinos were built on winners and that's one of the games were I can bet with the house so unless some rolling if I'm betting on the dole I don't wait like I stay away but if I want to dabble a little bit all kind of change it up on on the whole if you're riding the don't pass line you're probably going to make money craps is true and also craps gets the biggest ovations you all of those big crowds are those versions are other craps or blackjack I agree with that now do you embrace that home I'm not a big Shearer bush I will say this especially with craps when a lot of people win you know I'm all in I'm all in just quickly I will tell you the one of the super bowls I covered down in New.

Angie is because of what she does in the other half of of her life already in tremendous physical shape so you probably don't need to work as hard to get you know from wherever you are now to whatever you think your optimal body is as I or or Dave might just might be an easier question for you I I don't think I would give it up because there's more of the the mental self esteem now if it was the perfect body have like really really high self esteem so I don't feel bad about myself I might go for that okay if you can get the perfect body by giving up sex for a year or going to jail for a week and you had to pick one of them which one would you pick I actually my try to go to jail for a week so I can have a story yeah I'm with you exactly that's the right answer right there if you if we had like a bell ringing sound effect for the right answer that would be at what Dave you looks stumped no it yeah I guess I'm kind you look absolutely stomped what what part of that is the intrepid producer Dave it was never speechless save repeat it again I I kind of got discombobulated there I it is preferable to go to jail for a week then to give up sex for a year okay because if you went to jail for a week out there's a chance you have a really good story to tell about it story is great but and you're going to jail it's not like me going to jail are you going to jail and you go in there she can kick the **** of any of those women that are in the cell with her I'm gonna be a victim ever seen orange is the new black he is he is not nearly going to be the toughest checking that jail which you will very quickly established herself her dominance yes yeah so she she's a lot better with military training and all you're right she's a lot I mean I've no belts except the one around my way I don't have any black ones are I have a black belt but it only holds up my pants CG do any martial arts yeah I do I do just to and my tie and she really felt said resilient Ugetsu or whatever the regular ju jitsu is resilient just sick yeah that's it yeah it's incredible sport action she just turned a belt she she doesn't stop while so yeah in a jail cell she's tough all right so and you might be the toughest be word in jail if she was in jail not the biggest but the toughest I wouldn't be someone's right be working yeah yeah exactly interesting you and I would be victims speak for yourself yeah you're not so tough I guess especially since I probably can't carry my hand gun in the jail I'm I'm fairly well armed for a Jew but they wouldn't let me they wouldn't carry it into jail all right let's grab a call from Vic in Bailey who I think has an opinion about whether it would be war and an experienced based opinion as to whether it be worth spending a week in jail to get the perfect body what do you think Vic hello I just I just want to say yeah I would well we could be cake I mean I don't care what jail is but a I just wonders I spent six months in the park county hotel well because the call the judge more on I got pulled over this was way back when Colorado's when the last states that didn't have an open hello yeah yeah we got you Colorado is one of the last states that didn't have an open container law and so I was coming home from work I think this was a yeah I'm just gonna I'm giving a call here that's from you are you ignore them we're this morning nobody I I don't even know how to transfer so you're a jail for a week for that so so anyway I was on my way home from work and had a beer in my view my Cup holder I got pulled over for excess again I don't need to worry about all this part of the story so then so then you go to court and the judge says something you call him a more and are you saying you got six months in jail basically for contempt of court more or less what no it should have been I would have been happy to do six months for contempt of court because I had contempt of the son of a **** but home he actually put me in for do you why it wasn't there was mold why okay so let's get back to the question at hand the question at hand is is it if if you could give up sex for a year or go to jail for a week to get the perfect body and you had to pick one of a month slightly changing the question right which one would you pick and why I would pick the drill thing because I've been there done that and I've read I would you know these people going to solve the murder okay let me ask you this spec are you a guy I would be afraid of if I was in jail with you know are you the size of Mandy's husband well I'm I'm six three two hundred sixty pounds yeah so pretty close to size it may be so you're a good guy in prison right I'm a good guy okay see you can protect me perhaps when I get when I was bad guys yeah yeah but Vic yeah you were five seven one fifty five what would you think you'd still have the same answer no yeah now now we're getting to the heart of the matter right yeah like Chuck I would not be afraid to you yeah yeah exactly or or if you look like Vic I'll write big stay at a jail William it was a long time this is a it was not you would like to tell no not even two thousand I know I'm still say instead of jail I will because it won't get to the perfect body I promise all right see a buddy have a good weekend let's just go to Doug down there in the springs Hey Doug you're on with Ross in the intrepid producer Dave great question guys I had to pull over because I was laughing so hard but I wanted to let you know I I think I read an article like within the last year there was talking about how their sex became more frequent after sixty because the people stopped caring what they look like this will have that bad actors in that might skew your statistic that you're talking to somebody over sixty but anyway I'll I was lap and and you know I use that article trying to kind of keep my wife because we're we're coming into our sixty well I thought the frequency might increase but anyway I just I I just wanted to throw that into the mix well you know what's funny because so we were talking about this before Dave and we were kind of assuming that younger people would be less likely to give up sex and older people would be more likely to give up sex right because younger people are having more in older people are having less but you take what Doug is saying and you add it to a story that was reported as a few months ago but there is this big survey out of the university of Virginia and what they found is that over the past several years there's been a huge decline in the number of Americans having sex and almost all of that decline is among like eighteen to thirty year olds younger Americans ending and teenagers to younger Americans are having much less sex than they used to the poor young fools that they'll be regretting this in several years I guarantee it shocking yeah yeah but it it it also is a perfect kind of the other side of the coin from from the point that you made I'm all right Doug you also stay at a jail okay I remember Doug the blue pill is our friend yeah I was in the great state of mind yeah sure right leave that to you guys all right I tell you this this call has the potential to be the winner let's go to Sheila in Arvada Hey Sheila easier on the show with Ross and Dave what's up thank I love your question about what yeah thank you thank god all and I a single day if I ever.

"My guest i want to make a quick correction we had a previous caller dave i said call them sick i retract at politics for saying sick what i what i should say as you have enfeebled critical thinking skills would never want to stigmatize mental illness so i apologize for saying that on the air you are just you you enfeebled i'm sorry you have you have the development process of critical thinking skills of a small small infant if that's what you think so let's go to our guest though the capital gazette shooting yesterday mass murderer active shooter incident joining me is former fbi agent bobby chicago and you can find me at bobby dot com and on twitter at bobby fbi bobby thank you so much for coming on this morning appreciate your time thanks for having me so we keep learning new information and i want to help get your expert knowledge on this this was a well thought out planned attack to kind of heard his targets into what i would call some kind of like a deficit tone i mean this is really really scary what happened yesterday at the capital gazette in annapolis maryland well sure it's always scary when someone that's clearly has no mental health issues and his unstable mentally has access to an instrument of deaths being a car being a gun being a knife you know and then and then unleashes and then is triggered somehow by something and then goes out and you know exact attack upon innocent people always it does it's not surprising though you know we've seen it seems surprising sometimes the amount of planning and and some of the things that we see after it's really not when we start examining some of the recent attach no like san bernardino or like las vegas or or others like that where you know the motivations might differ but the planning is the same and you see you know someone who has you know some kind of garage or some you know and sometimes it makes sense and rational and sometimes it's not you know i mean it's never really rash i don't mean to say it's rational to you know to ever want to kill innocent people but it's like you know sometimes it's it's either misplaced religious beliefs or something like that and sometimes it's completely absent we don't even know why or how right like with the las vegas attack you know the san marino san bernardino attack we saw the motivation probably islamic fundamentalism in las vegas we have no idea yet or we may never know and so it's always a little fighting a disturbing we don't know why something happened in this case it looks like the newspaper published an article about this gentleman that he found offensive he filed a lawsuit on it he then updated his lawsuit in include more charges like invasion of privacy so he might have thought that the newspaper was invading upon his life he made certain threats and then you know and then something triggered him recently to carry out this attack because the the article i think was several years ago and so it was a lawsuit so we you know i'm sure they're looking at what happened recently to set these final steps in place but clearly you know he went out.

"Playboy interview can you explain what it means at the end you know and kubrick said i'm not gonna do that and he said what would we think if leonardo had written on the back of the mona lisa that the lady is smiling because she's hiding a secret from her lover you know i don't want that to happen you know i don't want that kind of thing to happen to two thousand and one that there's only one meaning right that that makes me think of the computer hal who's going to be kind of the next thing everybody knows about the movie hopefully and we do have a clip we have a clip of how open the pod bay doors oh i'm sorry dave i'm afraid i can't do that what's the problem i think you know what the problem is just as well as i do what are you talking about this mission is to important for me to allow you to jeopardize it i'm just old enough to remember when there was still a vocal contingent who really didn't like this movie and their complaint with sort of the only developed characters the computer unlike that like the character who has an arc in this movie has how how like becomes conscious becomes murderous and eventually has to be killed by by dave i just think about this is a movie about human evolution and i wonder what i always wondered what i cooper clark were saying about human evolution by presenting this artificial intelligence which is another possible path for human evolution and i'm wondering if you had any thoughts about that from having researched it.
