Carr hit Adams for a 31 yard score that put Vegas ahead for good. Then connected on a 45 yard flea flicker, less than four minutes later. Adams finished with 8 receptions for 177 yards. Surpassing 1000 yards for the fourth time since 2018. Josh Jacobs rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown. Justin Herbert was sacked 5 times as the Chargers fell to 6 and 6, just outside the playoff picture. I'm Dave fairy.
Adams' 35-yard TD in OT powers Raiders past Broncos 22-16
"Derek Carr through two touchdown passes to Davante Adams and the Raiders roared back to defeat the Broncos 22 16 in overtime The second of cars scoring strikes came from the Denver 35 when he saw no defenders anywhere near Adams So I just said look it's go up in the air and really I mean it happens it happens slow but it happens fast So it wasn't really a whole lot of thinking It was just locking on the ball and just making it look like With no time out Carl led a drive that culminated in Daniel Carlson's game tying 25 yard field goal with 16 seconds left in the fourth quarter Both teams are three and 7 Bruce Morton Denver

"Tyreek hill is doing okay. Tyreek hill went to a new team with a people thought was a lesser quarterback and he's the number one wider receiver in the NFL production wise. Yeah, but why would Devante Adams say this right now? I mean, you're locked in there. You chose this. Nobody's got any sympathy for you, not that he's asking for it, but you are being targeted, maybe not as much as you would hope for. I thought he was going to have one of those 150 catches this year. I just thought, all right, you got a tight end that tight end is injured. Renfro has been injured. The offense just hasn't been in sync. And it feels like they got one weapon in its devonta Adams. Yeah, see, just asked what were Devante Adams drops for this season. The past two seasons, he averaged 1.4 drops per game. I'm sorry, is drop percentage of 1.4. This year it's 4.7. You get some static coming through on your microphone. Every week. Yeah. Well, we'll work to fix it, Paul. What's the poll question we have there? Well, Dan, you know, we could do one off of devonta Adams and if maybe he where would he rather be playing right now? Green Bay or Vegas? You know, I do like the Will Ferrell one, but I don't know if we do that one for the final hour when will is on. Well, that would make the most sense, yeah, yeah. Why don't we do that? How about it what if I told you back in August? Yeah, that's the one. I sort of like that one. That's the one that we like. Yeah. I mean, you could put devonta Adams would be unhappy. Right now, Dan, if you're looking at if I had told you, you want to know what's leading in the Clubhouse, voting wise with 35% of the vote, a whopping 35%. Jeff Saturday is the coach of the Indianapolis Colts. You want to know what people are not surprised about? The packers? No, the Raiders. Oh, no, you know, I said, I wouldn't be surprised. Second place that is, I guess, second most surprising jets and giants would be in the playoff picture. Yeah. I agree with that. But if you said the Raiders were 5 and two or two and 5, I'd be like, okay. Yeah. Either one is possible. It feels like it's more surprising when teams do poorly that you expected to be good rather than a bad team that came out of nowhere and you're like, oh, look at them. That's pretty good. Well, the packers is, they've lost 5 in a row. I mean, I didn't think that that would happen. What's the most of the Aaron Rodgers has ever lost? And you're losing 5 in a row and you're in that division? I wonder how many seasons he's gone where he didn't total up 5 losses. Well, it hasn't been recently, but I wonder when's the last time he lost three in a row? Yeah, more. Yeah, to your point about the Raiders, they were in a really tough division, so I did not see them like, oh, they could win the division. Maybe, but if they wanted a division, it was going to be at ten and 7. They weren't just going to run rough shots. And so this isn't a surprise, not to me, at least. Well, here's the thing. This was the mothership spent a week on the Raiders. In the off season. And I think everybody got charged up. Like, wow, they're spending a lot of time. Now, understandably so, they went toe to toe with the Bengals in the playoffs, and you got to max Crosby, you got a good quarterback, you got a really good wide receiver. You got a good tight end. You got a good slot receiver guy. Got a couple of playmakers on defense. Okay. And then you're throwing in Josh McDaniels and all right, this offense is going to get even better. And I think that's what surprising there. But you're still in a tough division, and you are the Raiders. And injuries of hurt them. You know, Waller's out now and done much this year. That's disappointing. But that's not surprising. If they were really good or really bad, I would not be surprised because they had the potential to do both. Yeah, Pauline. I know the poll question says, if I told you in August, if you told me in November, 11th at Jeff Saturday was the headquarters of the cults, I still don't know if I believe you. This is still the weirdest story. I saw a stat yesterday that he's the first coach since 1972 to take over at NFL head team with no NFL or coaching experience at any level the assistant. Consultant anything. Yeah. Wow. Wait, what's a high school coach? Yeah? Yeah. Yeah, and you know what? He's got the experience to lead men too, okay? Why don't you just back off, all right? He was in the trenches, okay? For 14 years. Yeah, I know greatness. I've seen greatness. I mean, up close and personal with greatness, okay? Yeah, more. And he broke him. He was like, I've done this before, bro. He broke him. Dang, bro don't ever don't ever broke me. I think he broke him a couple of times there. He definitely dislike what my son Bros me. Don't ever bro me. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. What if Jeff Saturday treats it like a high school game and he has the cheerleaders all stay in there. I don't even know if they have cheerleaders in indie. And they had the big piece of paper with the sticks under the run through. And here comes Sam Hellinger, running through, like a high school game. I remember seeing a high school game where they had the big piece of paper there, whatever it was, and the team tried to go through it and they couldn't, and they had to go around it. And I thought, that doesn't bode well. If you're the opposition and they can't get through the paper, I feel pretty confident. Yes, Todd, should they have a pep rally on Saturday? In the community. Yeah. Yeah, let's go back old school. How about Letterman jackets? Like you gotta earn your letter jacket. I like that for the colts. Let's go back old school. Hey, look who's here. It's all in Atlanta. Hi Al what's on your mind. How about them falcons? Good morning, Dan. Two quick appetizers before the main course. How have you never seen Law & Order? It's on every day of the week except for Tuesday and Saturday. And it's on peacock. I mean, I know it's there that doesn't mean that I watch it. Obviously. Just one episode. Annie Jerry Orbach episode, you're going to secondly. All right. Secondly, yeah. Will Ferrell? My answer is, I got a fever. And the only cure is more cowbell. And finally, the meat and potatoes. What the heck was that showing last night from the falcons? I can't believe it. From the first play with Jake Matthews getting flagged for being an inevitable downfield to just pour passes for Mariota. It was pathetic. And I can't even blame Thursday Night Football because on Sunday they had the game in their hands running a fumble back and they fumbled it again when nobody even touches them. I was so pissed off at that. I couldn't even call it on Monday because I knew how to explode. And I hope Thursday is coming. I know it's a Thursday game, but hey, the falcon for beating the Panthers once. And then they get completely run over by a human tank, which I understand. He's impossible to tackle, but just something, a secondary that looks like it's a it was just painful to watch. You lost to a team that threw for less than a 125 yards. Yeah, you're watching the game and you're thinking, all right, maybe the falcons, I still think with pits and London, you have two really good weapons there. But look at Pitts this year as opposed to last year because he had over a thousand yards receiving. This year, it's been pedestrian like. You had Matt Ryan last year. You have Marcus Mariota this year. And therein lies the difference. Pitts had what? How many catches last year? I know he's on pace for 45 this year. He probably had twice that last year. Do you have his numbers from last season? I know he had over a thousand yards. Yeah, last year he had 70 catches. 110 targets though, and a thousand yards. This year, he's on pace for 50, 50 catches? Yeah. And those guys are such weapons in their big guys big receivers, pits. Not much offense there. Jeff and Detroit, hi Jeff, what's on your mind

"I want to apologize to the guy The Raiders lost to the chiefs 30 to 29 and as the teams were jogging off the field photographer Ryan zeb Lee cut across devonta Adams path And at the end of the ground so I want to say sorry to him for that The Raiders receiver had three catches for a 124 yards and two touchdowns in the game but he acknowledged I was just frustration mixed with him Running in literally just running in front of me and that was responded that way that wasn't enough for Kansas City police who called the Chauvin intentional act and Adams has been charged with misdemeanor assault The NFL is also investigating and could fine or suspend atoms I'm Ben Thomas

"Did your first time, huh? It was surreal. It was like, oh my gosh, I can't believe we're doing this again. The coolest part wasn't the football part, it was that I get my friend back. And so Derek Carr's heart is warm, the Raiders are thrilled. Opposing defenses are about to be unsettled, but the one thing we still got to account for, I think, is what about devonta Adams, specifically, makes him one of the best, if not the best receiver of his generation. And so how would you describe Tim how his NFL career started on draft night? What was in a way it was a little bit embarrassing. The first night he doesn't get drafted. He had like an ESPN crew in his house and you know how that goes. He's like, okay, when's this gonna happen? You remembers, you know, this kind of also been a little bit of a cliche is that guys who remember everyone that was drafted before then. Oh, no, Tim, he's one of those guys. He's one of those guys. He's one of those guys. He is. Quite a few wide receivers who went before him, who, frankly, shouldn't have. I mean, you've got you've got marquise Lee. You've got Kelvin Benjamin, you've got Jordan Matthews, Paul Richardson. I mean, he has this all down and devonte was picked the 21st pick of the second round at number 53. As cliche as it might be, it does provide motivation. He still harbors some resentment that as he said that those guys don't know how to how to measure what a true dog is on the field. But in terms of measuring Tim, what a good wide receiver actually is on the field. How does devonta Adams not just think about that, but explain that? I mean, this is one of the things that I don't understand nearly as much as I would like to. What makes him so good? Yeah, isn't that fascinating? I mean, I've always thought that with like Jerry Rice, where you could line up every wide receiver in the NFL and put Jerry Rice somewhere in that lineup and you would never pick him as being any better than the next guy. The same with demonte, you would line up these receivers and you'd say, okay, well that DK Metcalf guy must be better than him, right? There's a paddle me through a whitewater rapid. Yes. Very, very good. And, you know, I do feel like there's something about drive about inner drive that's there. He is perfected the little things, right? He is really focused on his releases off the line and now he's basically famous for them, right? He's the best, calls himself jokingly, the release king. That's what people know him as. That kind of attention to detail where he watches the film and he knows the guys he's playing against, he can he knows where what their tendencies are and all that. And then he has these very quick, very decisive moves that he makes that are trying to create space. You do that in basketball. You do it in football. Yeah, devonte Adams was a really serious, really good basketball player at Palo Alto high school. His first expectation was that he was gonna go on and play basketball somewhere because that was his sport. I was talking to his mom about his basketball career, and I said, do you miss watching devonta play basketball? And she said, no, I get to see him do it every Sunday. He's out there playing basketball. And what point that he really wanted to go out of his way to make was the impact that fear has in the NFL. And he sees it, he looks for it in cornerbacks, and he says, you know, these guys that are all mouthy and talking. They know that he has this ability to sort of see right through them, right? And so he really uses the fact that he's not a typical mouthy receiver to attack these guys like he attacks them mentally and he's got the physical skills to back that up, but he looks at these guys, he senses their fear. He seems to understand that they are uneasy with his sort of mysterious ways, you know, that they would rather they would rather that he just yell at them. You know, like every other receiver. But he doesn't do that. They would rather he broadcast all of his ego in public such that they could understand him and what makes him tick that much better. Exactly. And instead, he just plays mind games. He's very astute, he kind of understands human behavior in a way that he can maximize on the football field. So what you're saying is that the reason I found him only possibly vaguely interesting. At the top of the show is actually by design that he's actually been playing poker for years. Exactly. He frankly doesn't want to be interesting to you, although he says that gets in the way of his of his work, you know, he doesn't want us to find him interesting. And so the reality in front of devonta Adams now is using barking on his first season with his new team with his old best friend at quarterback. What do you think is running through his mind? I think what Davante is seeing is like now that he is in a spot where he's content. To be in Vegas, it just makes me feel a lot better knowing that, you know, before my career is over, I'm gonna be able to have more family at games. Get to have Thanksgiving Christmas in my home. Green Bay was my, that was my house, but my home was in Cali, but now I'm here full time. I'm back home. I think he's really gearing up for a season that, you know, that we might remember. You know, at Derek Carr's put up some incredible stats without a guy even close to devonte Adams to throw to. Yes, a number one receiver who I imagine also is remembering somewhere in his brain that he still should probably keep paddling. He definitely should keep paddling. I think it's a lesson. It's a lesson he learned

"At Fresno state, Derek Carr and devonta Adams. Derek Carr is a recreation major at the time and had taken some classes at Fresno state about different recreational activities. That sounds like a fun and very Fresno state major if I may say so. And very football oriented major as well. He had, you know, learned about whitewater rafting. There's plenty of it very close to Fresno up in the sierras. And so he decided that he was going to enlist one of his instructors who was also a guide that they would go up to the upper kings river and whitewater raft, and you know, the problem is he couldn't do it by himself, so he tried to get a bunch of football players, including devonta to go with him and his girlfriend at the time and now wife, Heather. Devonte was the only guy who went. Devonte idea was that they were going boating, you know? They were just gonna go float around. I thought we'd just come basically boating. That's what I was thinking. A lazy river kind of dynamic. And I don't know whether Derek withheld information from him or not, but they get on this raft, you know, when they start out and it is kind of a lazy river. We're going through like the first one, and it's just basically like a lazy river. I'm like, oh, this is easy. This is cake. Well, there's an end to the lazy river and it's called bonsai hole. And as Ryan tour as the guide explained to me, the sound comes first. And he says, you can start hearing this churning of this water as you're like, maybe 50 to a hundred yards away. And he looks at these guys and he has given them instructions, don't stop paddling. Instructor does this to hold on, and I'm like, hold on for what? As soon as we go down, he's telling us, don't stop paddling. Like, there's one rule to this and that is it. If you stop paddling, we're all done for. Ryan looks at them and he sees their eyes starting to get big as this sound gets louder. The first sign of trouble, devonte says. So what do I do? Stop paddling. I stop paddling. eCos from east Palo Alto, which is not whitewater rafting territory. He didn't spend a lot of time on the water. And so the don't stop paddling fell on deaf ears. He stopped paddling. As soon as we get through there, I slide into the boat to make sure I don't go in. And it threw the balance off and as soon as you hit it, like one of those rappers is just shot us out. Everybody went flying out. He fell out first. Derek fell out next and as Ryan told me, you know, Heather was the only one who followed the rules, but it didn't matter. He said I had these two ripped guys and the moment I needed their power, it wasn't there. These two guys who are renowned for their rapport on the football field, these two like super Jack dudes. They're now just getting swept

"Guys, I have zero problem with the Patriots not naming an OC because everyone in the building knows who's calling the plays, Mac Jones knows who's calling the plays and who's going to be in his ear. Now, you guys just said something that threw me off, but Trisha was on the walkie talkies today, possibly calling the plays into Mac Jones. And if you had to ask me, do I want Joe judge and map Patricia? Would they be my first or a hundredth pick for a guy to really work on the development of my second year quarterback? That's a big no guacamole for me, right? Guac and noli at all. Want that to happen. But I do think them having an offensive coordinator or not having an officer coordinator will help them have an advantage for two to three weeks because people won't know their tendencies and they not know what they want to do on third down or in the red zone and that will help them for the first couple of weeks of the year. And that's what Bill Belichick's really trying to do. Listen, I know I got like 20 seconds. I'm just going to say it. I don't care who they name. If the person they're going to name is one of the three people that was just named, that ain't good. If Matt Patricia is going to be the guy that you want to lean your offense, I don't want him. If Joe judge is going to do it, I don't want him either. I don't want to do that was over the offense and the defense in Detroit. I don't want to do that was over the offensive defense in New York. I don't want it. Not good. Not no way. I like guacamole. So I'm going to eat guacamole no matter who they name. But what about guacamole? 'cause that's never heard of guacamole. And only was a good one. I feel like it got lost there. Also, Bill Bill has actually complimented Matt Jones more than he's ever complimented Tom Brady. In a year and a half, he's complimented in more than 20 years of Tom Brady with New England. That's wild to me. That's because Bill Belichick doesn't compliment people who go out and earn them already. Oh, yep, there you go. Hey, we got time for one more thing before we go. Speaking of earning things, how about Dan Campbell? This guy's amazing. He's out there doing burpees with the guy. Oh, wow. He's biting off knee caps and. Leader. Yeah, he rocked. I like it. Oh, he's a leader. Are you going to do some burpees? I think he's actually shortening careers right there. Some of those vets are really upset about this. Let's get the burpees, Laurel. You're telling me to do a burpee? I don't even know where to go. Come on. I'm down. I can't. Yeah.

"He was a big disappointment. He got added, there was a lot of expectations there, and then nothing really happened. And cutting him will save Tennessee 9 and a half $1 million on June 2nd, he's a post June 1st designation with that release. Look, you can't pay a guy over $20 million a year and have really low production Julio Jones is 33 years old. Clearly, I think it's best days are behind him. It's unfortunate because I really love Julia. I've respected him for so long. He worked so hard and I thought for a brief stretch was the best receiver in the entire NFL. And I'm very curious where he's going to play next because I would imagine he's going to go to a Super Bowl contender a team like Kansas City or buffalo or something like that. I think one dark horse option for Julio would be Green Bay. I'd love to see the packers who have a very strong need at receiver. What could the Green Bay Packers do with Julio Jones? Give him a smaller contract, him playing with Aaron Rodgers would be really, really interesting. Keep your eye on that, but Julio Jones has fallen a long way from grace and I'm sad to see a guy who I have admired for so long really not play very well last year and kind of be a big disappointment. Now the final topic of the day in March Madness round one of the NCAA basketball tournament. Saint Peter is a team I have never even heard of, beat Kentucky 85 to 79 Kentucky was a number two team in their bracket, St. Peters was number 15 if you do the math, you know, 16 plays one, 15 plays two. Saint Peter's is a tiny college with enrollment just over 3000 students and zero 5 star recruits. So Kentucky basketball, a massive juggernaut with a huge basketball budget and big enrollment and a very passionate fan base behind them for Kentucky basketball the lose to Saint Peter's is it's unbelievable. It's a shocking upset in college basketball. By the way, I believe I was born in Saint Peter's hospital in Olympia Washington, which I would imagine as no affiliation to the school, but kind of a weird interesting side note. By the way, on Sunday, there's a really good game. If you want to watch a great college basketball game, round two of the NCAA tournament, march. Michigan state and their head coach Tom izzo were going to play against duke and coach K I highly recommend watching that on Sunday got form of the one, you got that game. Going to be a really fun, interesting weekend. And I will not do another episode of this show until Sunday Night, Monday morning, because my mom's in town, I'm going to hang out with her. Guys, it's all I have. I love you. I appreciate you. I hope you have a fantastic day. Bam, we are done..

"The Green Bay Packers are at the top of the NFC once again, and a big reason why is the play of superstar whiteout Devante Adams. Third down Rogers throws going for the deep shot and delivers a strike to devonta Adams. But Adam's journey to the top had plenty of twists and turns along the way. Today, the athletics match schneidman tells us how Adams went from sleeping on a couch through high school. To NFL superstardom and why a brutal start to his NFL career almost derailed it all. He made it out of the mud and he's Palo Alto. So surviving that, I don't think that's too drastic of a way to put it, prepared him to make it through that adversity, the NFL. From wondering in the athletic, I'm Tiffany osinski. It's Wednesday, December 1st, and this is the lead. While Matt schneidman welcome back to the show. Appreciate you have me. You know, it feels like I might be the most recurring guest on this show just because the packers are in the news every single week, but I'm happy to be back on. Thanks for having me. Yeah, thanks for being here. I was going to say, you know, it feels like almost every time we've had you on the show, it's to talk about Aaron Rodgers. Does it feel strange to be on here talking about the best wide receiver instead? A little bit, yeah. I mean, last time I was talking about Aaron Rodgers vaccination status. So it's good to get back to football a little bit. Yeah, switch it up a little. I think it's a good thing to do that, especially during football season. Well, as I mentioned, we brought you on today to talk about packers wide out devonte Adams and his journey to the NFL. But before we get to that, can you just describe how dominant atoms has been for Green Bay this season? Yeah, I mean, it's really ever since the start of last season where he's cemented himself as the best receiver in the league. Right now he's second in the league in receiving yards and receiving yards per game. You know, he has an insane release off the line. He's a really good route runner. He's on first now with a lot of time Adams and wide open no one near him into Viking territory spun down inside the 40. He has impeccable hands. He can really do everything. He's not the fastest guy, but he makes up for that by being able to get himself open on any route. The outside and turning around and making the grab is Adams. He is unstoppable. Teams are doubling him a lot more, you know, they'll provide safety help before the snap after the snap. And teams have learned not to just guard him.

Ever since the packers season was over that once actually because the first came out of draft night actually but turned out. It wasn't it actually started after the season in the nfc championship game but it was never ever about the money. It was all about security getting the wreck personnel around. And he's got a lot of points now covers some of and i'll leave a lot of it for your own interpretation. The watch the entire thing like it's definitely a must a must listen. I mean if you. Cd so he talked about how he wants to have some influence in some of the personnel decision. Now he didn't specifically say you know these are keep that he just wants to part of the conversation when grass hawker out whether or not. Let's walk tree. People like just to get a different perception on how to view certain player and he talked about like how the packers organization treated certain players who was leading or getting traded all the exit process. The exit crosses where these players and he highlighted. Something like charles. Listen james jones jordy nelson claim that use you talked about. You know how to treat it leading the packers. Which i mean. He's not as good. Look folks so yes. That's one of the day they talk now. Another big you know hot tea was well love. they're trying to do a transition process adage love no joy. love peace is all about. Hey are we sure enough for us to go for another. That's that's that's what it's always been what's happening right now. Folks and dot losada's last week. Actually so they shot him for you. Mention this is we are. We are sitting in the front seat and our viewing something historic in the national football league. Where players should essay top players. Top dots are having so much influence in. What's going on your organization. He in my he talked about how the nba star players have. Great influence on. What happens with an tape. The coaching hires and getting certain phrases.

"Would agree with me right. Availability is key for dare ernie by the way only four running backs of won three straight rushing title. If king henry can join that elite group this season we gotta get back to our top story this morning. Up in green bay aaron rodgers with his tell all yesterday in his press conference is he writes that he deserves special treatment. First things first rolling on thursday morning back time now for stores to start your morning. Sponsored by ram trucks built to serve air andres. Not the only guy who stood behind the podium. Yesterday davante adams did as well. First time we've heard from devante since finding out extension talks with green bay had all but stalled when you lead the league with eighteen receiving touchdowns he ever right to be the league's top paid pass. Catcher devante said as much yesterday so brandon. What is your reaction to devante saying. He deserves to be the highest paid. he does. this is the system that they put in place. You're wide receiver. You outperform your contract or your any any position for that matter You outperform your contract. You should happen seat at the table. And let's discuss it and then how you break it down and this is what's this has been in place for years. Our top five receivers larry fitzgerald. He goes to the table. He gets a four year. Deal a forty million dollar contract average ten million dollars a year. Thirty million guarantee so now what happens is orange. Johnson comes back to the table. And andre johnson says well okay. I'm gonna top five receiver. I need a similar deal. I if not the same that need a little bit more. And so then you have andre johnson. Dc aj green and. That's how we get this market to where the players go from ten million dollars received from ten million dollars twelve to fifteen twenty devante. Atoms is ranked eighteenth in the nfl at an author wide receivers and contract right so think about that. He's one of the greatest wide receivers the game and he's playing at a high level. Statistically speaking you can say he's probably he could be put potentially number one joy and he's not there he's not being compensated that way so devante is doing and what he's saying. It's been in place for the past twenty years. We talk about business around athlete. Brennan do you think that he's tied directly to aaron rodgers. Like you told your story about like of jay cutler jay cutler put his house on the market brandon. Marshall put his house on the market. Do you think those guys are tied at the hip or do you see devante adam signing a long term deal with green bay without knowing what aaron rodgers futures holds the toughest part. Most important thing about this especially in the national football league is is is the injury rate. It's an edible evitable one hundred percent injury rate joy so he has to take that into consideration. But if. I'm devante adams i am tied to to Aaron rogers. i'm tired to aaron rodgers. Because i can. I know if it's not a career ending injury. I can go make my money somewhere else. So if if yes if air. Rogers put his house on the market. I'm putting my house on the market. I'm a. I'm definitely tied to hit him. Well devante is in a situation where like you mentioned. He's the next guy up. So you absolutely deserves to be the highest paid and like what the highest paid really means is. It's your turn to get paid. And so the market has already been set. So you're gonna reset the market and then the next guy's gonna reset the market as you already said so. The principle of it is really just that he's up and he's the top receiver in the nfl. Who's next to be paid now. Getting paid in green bay is interesting. Because you just mentioned. Aaron rodgers and being tied aaron rodgers. If he's going to take a contract in green bay aside from the fact that he's the top receiver it's imperative that he is the highest pay because we don't know if aaron rodgers is going to be there next year and he plays a dependent position so even jordan love comes in and he's competent. Let's say he's good. He's still gonna be aaron rodgers league. Mvp not right now. And how's that going to affect devante numbers over the next couple years on him getting the next contracts which may not be the highest paid. But we'll still be a very big contract. He's still in his prime so he has to consider all those things when he's negotiating which is why he should not take anything less than the highest paid wide receiver in the nfl and look. Why receivers premium right now. All of the new rules are curved for the offense. Having a premier wide receiver is very important. That will not be plenty of suitors to pay devante atoms as he deserves but he's got to be strategic with it if he's gonna to stay in green bay because their future is very uncertain. Yes so much to unpack here here. Here's that list again. He is eighteenth on that list. He's not top five tough ten he is. He's not tough. He's eighteenth and he is a top five wide receiver in one and two in majority of people covering the nfl's books right so there's a lot to this. Even when he talked wild he talked about. Look you know when a player underperforms you know team comes in they say look. We're not going to extend you or they say we need money back and those conversations are quick. He that they'd been having these discussions since january february. Why is it so hard to get a deal done about perform contract. You guys see that. No one can stop me. There's people that can slow me down but no one can stop me. So there's more to highlight their in green bay right now man it's it's messy and queen queen. Petty is going to get a little bit more interesting as the days go by. It's only one day that was day. One joy taylor thank you so much for joining us. We gotta go. We'll see tomorrow one..

"Space. Tonight's nba draft is featured on the free to play fox boat. Super six. you can just scan. Qr code download the app. Answer six questions about the draft and your shot two thousand dollars simple enough all right back here talking running backs now. So madden has been coming out with their Their ratings by position over the last week. And it's all fun and games till you get to the running backs list which had assault just a little perplexed scratching the old noggin. The reigning two-time rushing king. The guy brandon wanted to be the mvp last year these stiffest of stiff arms derrick henry. Not at the top man's got christian. Mccaffrey as tom brady guy. Then henry and nick for seven he gets cooked kamera and others to follow. You've taken that list right. There brand is your guy. Derrick henry in your opinion being disrespected here. Oh my goodness well. Y'all are getting my blood boiling this morning. We're talking about the wide receivers getting paid into volunteer atoms. Now we're talking about my. Mvp the guys who've been mvp last year and we're talking about the running back. Who was the eighth. The eighth running back to to go for over two thousand yards and only standing next to terrell davis to over two thousand yards and fifteen touchdowns he should be at ninety nine man. And this is this respectful. Like how do you not have him number. One now christian mccaffrey. There's no knock on kiss christian mccaffrey. He actually should be ninety seven if we're taking out last year we're just focusing on his ross skill and ability and we're talking about moving on. We're talking about this year absolutely but think about what henry has done over the last couple of years. Not only has he been the best running back and gotten it done and went for two thousand yards but he also stay healthy christian. Mccaffrey came off a big year where he was in a conversation to be. Mvp joy and then all of a sudden he got hurt this year. He was banged up. He got back in the lineup. Got banged up. Again is a war of attrition at the running back position one of your superpowers. One of your talents needs to be staying healthy. These are do the kerry to rock or touch the ball twenty to twenty five times a game. They are getting beat up so they gotta stay healthy and their carry has done that. Okay and he needs to be number one while he not only needs to be number one but he should have a ninety. Nine may get this right. Okay what are they. Can you know maybe be it. Changes throughout the year. Maybe move up. You know who belongs on this list brandon my guy. Jonathan taylor wisconsin guy. Not really my wife went to his own. I get to be wisconsin guy but just by proxy. This is since week. Eleven thousand member. John until derek. Kind of it wasn't even it was running back by committee. He was like one part of a three headed monster. But you know you're sort of like the most decorated college running back of all time. Why don't you sorta handle the load will do now do what you got carson wentz back there i think carson wentz can look out to jonathan taylor. Who's gotten better at catching the ball. Better every year and wisconsin came to league acne catch. Yes he can catch. You racked up three hundred yards almost through the air so i think carson he's gonna have he's gonna be great he's gonna we know that defense. I'm ali all in on the colts. Carson wentz and jonathan taylor joint. Finally finally you came to my side. I gotta remain gotta remain calm throughout the disrespect. King henry all right. Let me let me put my queen. Queen petty crown on and descend king. Henry let's then yes push. Mccaffrey should be above their henry but for so many reasons. This is a gis yes brandon. You're right he should have ninety nine rating. but derek. harry's two thousand nine hundred and season was better than christian. Mccaffrey is nineteenth. Season rushing rushing only and chris. You're happy was injured almost all of last year. How is he ranked higher then. Derrick henry says they're getting re impact on his team is more evidence considering at the panthers. Were five eleven two years in a row. The reason a derrick henry the remember the titans are relevant. The reason that they are competitive is because of derrick henry. His impact is shown in wins and losses. Not just the tissot. Six not just fantasy football. I love but we're talking about real life. this is matt. And you've got to rank things how they show. What is the impact of this player on the field. Derrick henry is one of my favorite players in the league. He might be my favorite to watch. There is no other player. That looks like him that runs like him. That has the power that he has. He's tossing guys with his pinky finger across the field. It's magic to watch. But this is absolutely disrespectful. I understand christian. Mccaffrey is the rule gretz and he is an incredible player but he was injured all last year. And what what what pushes cushion mccaffrey into a different. Space is his ability to catch the ball. But that's not what we're talking about rushing it. We're talking about running backs running backs. No derrick henry is the best running back and he is miles ahead of christian. Mccaffrey as a running back as a receiver having a different conversation. But that's not what we're talking about here. He's absolutely disrespected with this ranking and having mccaffrey above him. Yeah you're one hundred percent Right with winter saying we don't even have to talk about christian. Mccaffrey like he's a dog. But but everything you said was on point just honing in on henry. Think about this and this is why was adamant about him being. Mvp not needing to change the conversation around the mvp because it's really is a quarterback award. That's what it's really come down to but the hardest thing to do in the national football league there's two things right. The hardest feats is to rush for over two thousand yards in. Go for what a season where you have. Twenty plus sex. Those are some of the hardest things that do. They're barely done. Okay for this guy to eighth guy to ever do that like he needs to have way more respect not only put ninety nine and his name put ninety nine point five hours eight. We can't give a guy hundred but that's why this is so disrespect for america because this is one of the hardest things you can do in football Joy you know this. We've seen guys throw for thirty touchdowns year after year. We seen them throw for forty touchdowns. We've seen receivers go for fifteen sixteen hundred yards. We've seen defensive backs come down with ten interceptions but we rarely see this. This is something that'd be celebrated in their continued disrespect his name. They disrespected his name at the award. Show giving aaron rodgers. The mvp disrespecting his name now. What is this mad ratings. Well i think that aaron rodgers deserve the mvp. But i do also completely agree with you that there can re an aaron. Roger should have been much closer. Because derrick henry actually affects wins and losses of you. Take derrick henry off of that team they are. I don't even believe that. They're in the playoffs. I think he's one of the most if not being most. We're really having this conversation. The most dominant offense player in the league. Have you look at his numbers his this and see his availability and you. Obviously the offensive line plays a major role in running back success. But there henry is a whole 'nother level up from every other running back in the league to me. And i think that if you have eyeballs and you look and you look at the often that you.

"What if he's not ready next year if even if he's even if he is ready he's not going to be aaron rodgers and this is a dependent position. You can't just have anybody throwing the ball. This could be if he ends up with jordan. Love long-term enduring love doesn't pan out and he's in green bay. This could really affect his money moving forward so it's imperative that he is paid the most in the league right now and if he's gonna stay in green bay. They need to compensate him such. I think you're right joy. I want to dig a little bit more into the packers coach. Every team was at camp and all the news that we got from the other teams. Where hey look at this. No look pass from patrick mahomes. Hey look at this. Lamb catch for for the packers. It's like hey look at our quarterback laying out a decades long series of reasonable issues with our management and our other star talking about his contract. Like i didn't see any highlights coming out of the packers. So do you think the fact that the packers first day was defined by two major news. Conferences is a sire. Tomato called johnny's major. But you know what i mean is a sign of dysfunction within the organization. I would have signed up for a every single day of my tenure as head coach having press conferences. Like bad. if you're giving me aaron rodgers devante atoms you got you have two guys ability. I've had a lot of good dude. Say the right thing. And that's great but they can't play like those two guys play. So they're they're. They're both a little bit frustrated with their situation. That's not bad either. One of the best things having a player on a contract year because those guys ardour ardor than anybody else. You see how angry america you heard michael jordan. You heard michael jordan. Talk about the need for for motivation all the time. Great your little pissed off perfect. You're you're you're you're motivated by the fact that you want to show that you're you're worth the most of any wide receiver great. All those things are are fantastic from a performance perspective and sometimes when you get a giant contract the guy exhales and then you don't get the player the same player and brennan. No that's the truth. Here's a handful of those guys but like you said you've been around a long time. You know how to identify those guys. You guys talk about own how great. We are in recruiting scouting players. Well you know what those traits are those players who fold the tents up and packet packing up and go home once they get. Those deals. davante adams. Isn't that aaron rodgers as in that. There's no reason devante adams should be going into the season playing on this contract. Making what does he ring. Eighteenth as far as you know as far as how much he's getting paid at the receiver position that's ridiculous. This is the volunteer adams who don't have asthma number one receiver. I have the hopkins there. But it's a strong argument. Who is number one in davonte adams. He's done it year after year after year and he deserves to be on a new contract. Now if i'm like. I said the last couple of days i probably wouldn't do it. I wouldn't do it because air roger's on a move of aaron rodgers on the move. I'm going to move air. Rogers put his house up for sale and put my house up for sale air. Rogers go to las vegas. If that's the choice he makes next year. That i'm calling them to say we're package deal so if i'm devante i'm sitting back and i'm just going to go out there and ball again and being better position at the end of this year jenner. That was day one of training camp just imagined ever. It's gonna.

"I've earned the right to paid highs in the league season of truth telling in green bay since the packers by week in two thousand nineteen. A adams has more receiving josh downs. Then he has games played in fact over that span. He has got more games with multiple touchdowns touchdowns about that branded era buddy. What was your reactions to say. It's not just devante. I know we're just honing in on on him in his comments. But it's everything that's coming out of green bay right now with devante and also aaron rodgers like right. Now what's happening is a shift okay. And as a player you're trained not to have these real authentic press conferences to not go up there and say what's on your mind. You are trained in guys. Please hear here. You are literally trained to go up there and say you know money. We don't talk about that. We leave that up to the general manager. The head coach will. We'll talk about that. I'm here to talk about myself. You're not even your trained to not even talk about other people. So for aaron rodgers and davante adams stand up there and be this real is is awesome to see like this is why i got so much trouble with my career because i was a guy who said i'm gonna just be real inauthentic all the time and i got in trouble because it was counterculture to the nfl's culture so so here's the deal devante adams's right. He should be the highest paid. Why because he's up next and that is the rule that they put in place. If you are all like davante adams is balling and your contract is up. Then yes i need to. I need to reset the market. That has been the trend year after year after year so absolutely love and he also says something interesting coach he said this in america. Be ready you every time. Coaching are talk about organizations and players contract and money. You see the dynamic unfold right in front of your eyes coaches one end of the spectrum an organization and tv team team. And i'm on the end of the spectrum player player player so i can't wait to get your perspective on this though coach. But here's the deal. He says some interesting when when a player outperforms his contract and they go to the table. They say coachman genie listen. I know you run everything. In cleveland coach. You know i just i. I think i deserve a new contract. Why does it take six to nine months to get a deal done. Why are you trying to devalue me. Why are you say well this guy that. Why does it take so long. But if i under perform or if i get hurt and you come to me and you say brandon you know what we need some of that money back or brennan going to cut you. Those conversations take five minutes. There isn't anything back and forth. And that's what he highlighting. I think is interesting and i think the fans this see that and that's the struggle and that's what we need to lean into a figure out moving forward in national football league but give it to me coke. Give it to me mr organization. I so i need to start with the effervescent comment east sarcasm. that was hurtful. So let's just and then brennan i. I think this is gonna shock you. But i i'm fine with what he said. And here's why because just like we talk here. Here's why like we talk the other day about the guys who get up and say you know their district. People are disrespecting me I'm not this eight thousand reasons besides what it is. It's about the money it's about the contract and at the end of the day. They've said that's that's the truth. And in this situation he's got a very compelling argument is going to last year of his contract. He the third most touchdowns ever in the history of the nfl a single season. He's got a seventy seven percent catch rate. He's the primary guy so everybody's trying to stop them and he's doing that with without some other threat to take coverage away from him he. He has a strong strong argument. I thought the most interesting thing he said is i'm not a baby. I'm going to show up. I didn't know if that was a dig at aaron rodgers. I mean that that to me was was a little bit telling now to get to your second point about why it takes a long negotiation as players will typically come in and say. Hey i want a new contract. Oh and by the way. I want it to be this astronomical number that totally resets the martin and his and his and his unrealistic versus every comp in the world. But i want it now. And why won't you give it to me right now. Because that's that's not the reality of how it works when you buy a house you you look at comps when you buy anything a car when you do any type of negotiation there's cops and you have your opinion of what your value is and the organization has their opinion of of the value. And you try to get to a point. That works works for everybody. You wish it was easy enough where you say. Hey i want the most money that's available and you're like okay. No problem hope. You're happy great had i. it just doesn't work. There's so many other people and other factors that come into play when you negotiate contracts coats coates go ahead. Sorry i'm sorry. Go ahead go ahead and get them for me please. now have any no. So so he he. He went back and said we started these conversations in january and february. So why is it takes a long. You just you just highlighted. All the things like why his argument is compelling so why it taking them so long. It's august due to san. I deserve to be the highest pay. That's not hard at all. The organization is sitting back and they're not getting it done if this was j. Kuma ru ooh who wilde's love and the doors at this was him then. Yeah then you say brother please. And it may take some time but this devante atoms. She should already have a deal done but nobody knows what he's asking for is asking for fifty million dollars. A season is asking for the entire contract to be guaranteed with no offsets. Is you know. There's so many different components to a contract and you know that brennan. It's not as easy. Just i want to be. The highest paid is happy to be the highest paid by one dollar. Does he want to be the highest paid in every single year of the contract. There's so many asked. And so many different ways to structure. Does he want the money. Frontloaded or backloaded link. All those things come into play and and it takes time. It's getting very spicy in green bay. And i can't say that i don't love it. I love the devante is coming out and saying this. I think actually the devante ends. Aaron rodgers are lockstep in this. Because if you remember last week devante had said that they were off the table. Then all of a sudden aaron rodgers is back in. Okay now we can talk again. Well obviously devante deserves to be the highest paid and brandon's your point earlier. He's up next so he will be. The highest paid if green bay wants to keep him of course which they they should want to keep him and they should pay him. the most. The andre hopkins is paid the most right now and comparatively their contracts are very far apart. He's the next ones to get paid. So he'll be the highest paid and the next guy that has a great year gray couple of years and his contract comes up. He will be the next paid. That's how it works. So the market does reset the salary. Cap goes up and freak out about how big the contract is and then the next two years someone else signs of bigger contract and we get over it. That's how the game is played. What i think is interesting about the davante. Adams situation concerns aaron rodgers. Is we now pretty much all have a feeling that aaron rodgers isn't going to be there next year so if i'm devante. Atoms is of the utmost importance. If i stay in green bay that i pay the most and get the contract. That i want because i don't necessarily know who throwing the ball to me next year and i'm with jordan love and practice now we don't know where jordan love is and he hasn't had really offseason and he's still developing moroccan to see him this year but.

"Aaron rodgers is definitely back in boy. Did we hear the last few months seven life for him. So where does he go from year. We'll discuss this options. Despite being the king is derrick henry. The most disrespected player in the nfl. We'll tell you why we're asking and it didn't even take patrick mahomes a day to get right back to his old tricks. Good thursday morning everyone. Welcome to first thing spurs jenna wolfe joy taylor in for nick right this morning. Good morning to you. Brandon marshall kevin. While he's still impressed by the no look passes or getting a little old at this point. Yeah it's amazing it's become as for you. do it. need to see more brushed me harder. All right we'll get to all that the second we gotta start this morning in green bay so the packers opened at training camp yesterday. Aaron rodgers opened up about everything that led up to it. Unfiltered would be an understatement. He explained in detail yesterday when drove his filled off season one which he actually mold retirement one of his gripes. Now being involved at all with full decisions already changing to season our guys sit back. Relax take a listen to aaron rodgers. a lot of things that transpired. This wasn't a draft day. Thank you know. Start with the conversation. February season ended now just expressed my desire to be more involved in conversations directly affected my job. Also i wanted to help the organization maybe learned from them. Some of the mistakes in the past in my opinion about the way. Some of the outgoing veterans retreated and just the fact that we didn't retain a number of players and i felt like we're core players to our foundation our locker room and then it kind of progressed from there into a commitment for the twenty twenty one season and beyond That really wasn't given any time so for me. I had the assess. The situation not necessarily wanted to be a lame-duck quarterback especially after an mvp season which i think you can understand And then the other part in january was wanting to be a part of conversations. Bobby agents which has never happened in my career. If you can't commit to me past twenty twenty one now. I'm not a part of a crude processing free agency. If i'm not a part of the future instead of letting me be lame-duck quarterbacks you wanna make a change and move forward and go ahead and do it didn't happen. I said it wasn't about the money and the way they felt. Kind of just down that Nothing really changed throughout the summer. There were some of developments in the last week or so. But you know. I was really working on myself and my own mental state about this number and and at various points decide if i wanted to keep playing but the fire still burns and i wanted to. I wanted to be on the football team. We got some things figured out in the last few days then i was like well. There is a lot there branded. He really opened up the ab everything. What transpired in his head. The last couple of weeks months. What was your reaction to what roger said yesterday. I love it Joy i think they call you with the uncle shannon. give you the nickname Cleaning what did you say your queen queen petty call me. Messy messy be. I love all of this queen. Petty like this is who i am. This is what i think the. Nfl needs to be the mlb needs to be. We need more of this. We need more real authentic conversations. There's been this this shift in power over the last year. Racial tension soaring it twenty twenty. We're also talking about covert nineteen players and owners going head to head and we're trying to figure out. What is this like. We need a guys like aaron rodgers to be more real more authentic. The owners can always hide behind the curtain. And say you know what he's paid. Well you know what this thing is called a team. You need to sacrifice. Well here's the deal. Everybody watching right now needs to go and watch after our show all thirty one minutes and thirty nine seconds of air rogers press conference. This was so deep. This was so real. I mean it was it was it was cool to watch and i wash all of it. So here's the deal where it's happening in the national football league right now joy. It's not This this this shift of like you know powers really air. Rogers and others are redefining. What a nfl player is before like. Hey you're a player such mouth go sit in the corner. This isn't a little lebron james conversation. I'm more than a player more than happy. That's at this for so long we've been telling players you know what just come in and do your job. We got everything goes. And when aaron rodgers are saying is no no. That's not going to happen. Russell wilson is saying no. That's not going to happen. We want to sit at the table and we want to see the table. Now in the national football league we talk about guys me put put in boxes and be institutionalized and these guys are now saying you know what we are the most powerful we are the most powerful piece in this whole entity. And now we're going to use that as leverage to actually be a part of discussing to be part of the bigger business now would it has to take is in rogers and other guys to step. Continue to step up and push the conversation for but we didn't see that before my only gripe aaron Joy is this. Why did it take sixteen years for you to stand up against the organization. Now you mentioned all these other guys jordy nelson. You mentioned. julius peppers. John's james jones and all these other people well when your contract is up for for discussion and your in year sixteen. And there's about this tree to this way. now you want to go back and say hey. Why did you treat the other guys. That way were aaron. Rodgers starting quarterback of that franchise for fourteen years. You should have done that before. Well two things one. I would say it's the tom brady effects. Which is which is my initial thought on while this is happening. And i got that in a second and second i would say. Sometimes you know. You can't truly empathize until you're in that situation so you can say you support the other guys and i'm sure he does. But maybe you know this is the part of the reason why he is standing up. The way he is now is because like you said. Now he's the guy who they're kind of phasing out of the organization right now. He's been a great company man for a very long time and now he's in a different situation and he's realizing hey wait a minute. I'm aaron rodgers. He can't do this to me and he's played his cars. I thought he was brilliant yesterday. You were watching. An intelligent person. Lay their hands brilliantly. He wasn't emotional but had just enough humility. He made great points. he landed them. He took little jabs but not too much and he kept it. Radio it was it was a in. I mean he read then to the t- honey. Oh.

He was doing an interview courtesy of CBS and Derek Carr says he will try hard to recruit Davante Adams to Las Vegas. I've learned in this in this business, you never shut the door on anything, you know, I know that he's obviously the best receiver, you know, everyone said one of the best is the best receiver in the NFL. You know, the guy is unbelievable as Been one of my best friends since we were in college together. I love the guy. I would always welcome to play with him again. I think it would have liked some things in both of us that people haven't seen yet. You know, and, uh and I'm always open to that and I will be recruiting very hard. So when that time comes, it will be a full court press. I always love how if a general manager for president of football operations said that it would be tampering, a player says that I am no big deal whatsoever that he's going to be recruiting. De Monte and but I guess this cop out there or is opt out. There is all I said if that opportunity does present itself.

Rams superstar Aaron Donald upset at end of playoff loss
"The packers thirty two eighteen on saturday and heading into the weekend lindsay. You wrote that you were really excited to see this. Coaching matchup between matlock floor. And sean mcvay. What stood out to you in the battle of the minds here. Yeah i mean because these are two guys who know each other so well and you know. They're very much part of the same coaching tree. They both worked under kyle shanahan about the flora then works Under sean mcvay. So they have very similar offensive philosophies but that was just a game that was full of really interesting. Coaching matchups mallon floor wine. That batch up by far the packers had the better game plan. They were the better team better coach. All of this and sure aaron. Donald was not at full strength. You could tell that. He was very clearly hampered by the rib injury that he suffered during the wild card round but it was just a very impressive performance overall by aaron rodgers and certainly by matt leflore and that entire coaching staff the packers put up four hundred and eighty four yards of total offense against basically the best defense in the league. talked about aaron donald. Who's just a generational talent. Not being at full strength. But how is this packers offense. So effective saturday night. We'll everything they do. Obviously starts with aaron rodgers. Who just seem to have this innate mastery of what was coming and it kind of went viral on twitter a little bit because so many of fox's camera angles shown face on with aaron rodgers where you could see the moment that he realized what was coming that he was able to diagnose the coverage and dictate the play based on what was coming and the offensive line played really well protecting aaron rogers. He was barely touched. I'm not sure if his jersey had a single grass stain on after the game. And you know when you're not getting pressure on a quarterback and you're running the ball really well and you have davante adams who's one of the best wide receivers and football. It really wasn't even a close match up. And you know. I know a lot of people in green bay throughout packers land. Were wondering this is the best defense in football and it has to make you wonder. If that's the way that the packers aaron rodgers played against supposedly the best defense in football. What are they going to do for the rest of the

Rodgers, Adams shine in Packers' 40-14 victory over Titans
"States carried home Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams. Creating a picturesque atmosphere is they connected for three touchdown passes on a snow covered Lambeau Field. Who's Your NFL MVP?
"We're back on. Get up with a little game of either or dominic foxworth aaron rodgers or patrick. Mahomes got vp. I think after. Patrick mahomes week last week you have to give it to aaron rodgers taking the lead. He's not without weapons like a lot if you were to say. They have good running backs and their offensive line protects them quite well and obviously davante adams outstanding. But i do think that you take him off at team and they are very very different team and we already know what The chiefs look like without patrick mahomes. They're still very good if you think back to When they had more playing last year or when they had alex smith star quarterback. It's a lot of talented team. I think roger's values higher

Packers survive scare from Jaguars, hang on for win
"Wayne laravie. Wtmj with the call. Knicks shook now joins us. They adams did what davante adams does go down on. The packers won his. Td grab in. The fourth quarter was the difference in twenty four twenty win over the jaguars at lambeau shook. I know home. Field advantage was like fun and happiness in general eradicated by covid nineteen but how the hell the green bay let the loot nights hang up. It was weird games. I mean every once in a while you see a team that is clearly superior play a lesser team and not necessarily make mistakes but just things of unfold where the lesser team manages to stay in the game. A punt return for a touchdown makes what was going to be a runaway game. Close game just kind of unfolds from there that's really what the jaguars did for the most part Until the latter stages of the game when you actually put the ball and jake luton's hands and well we saw the result. I mean he's he's simply not the guy. But i mean a credit them for battling and and for sticking around the game long enough to make it competitive but ultimately the better team won the have to be thrilled. That marquez valdes scantling Put up the kind of game he did that. It's not just davante adams. But aaron jones came back on. I'm looking at the numbers here. Not mind-blowing was it was just sort of the way the game went that he wasn't massively. Impactful yeah and it was one of those strange games where the packers one time of possession by a small margin and it worked out of the jaguars favor in that. It limited them from making their own mistakes. You know the longer. The packers had the ball the less of a chance to jaguars had to make a game changing or a crushing mistake. Like throwing pick six or something like that and the credit to the jaguars for limiting the packers ability to turn those into points for the most part. It was the packers settling for three. Not being able to turn those possessions into touchdowns except for a few occasions and kind of just resulting in a closer game than expected. But i mean if you watch the game on the field for the most part you could tell you knew who was the better team like we knew coming into this game and it was just a matter of them pulling out the victory. Not everyone is pretty. And this is an ugly win for the packers. But it's still the same in the standings even was against the jack bars.

Green Bay Packers place LB Kirksey, WR Lazard on injured reserve
"Coach Matt Leffler says Davante Adams will be a game time decision against the Falcons for Monday night. Defensive lineman Kenny Clarke also questionable linebacker Christian Kirksey and wide receiver Alan Lazard, both placed on injured reserve this afternoon. They will now be eligible to return in three weeks on the Falcon side of
Allen Lazard played through core muscle injury
"The packers are dealing with another injury at receiver Allen lazard reportedly had a core muscle surgery this week, and we'll be out indefinitely last week against the saints as at the best game of his career six receptions one, hundred, forty, six yards, and a touchdown with Davante Adams out demonte is with a hamstring injury he was limited in practice yesterday drafted Ryan receive on. They sure could have if you'll be able to play on. Monday. So the wide receivers remaining on the packers active roster are Marquez about as gambling Taylor and Darius Shepherd who was signed off the practice squad last week. Good news for the packers with all these injuries they're hosting the Falcons this week.
San Francisco 49ers lose Jimmy Garoppolo, Nick Bosa, Raheem Mostert
"The bigger headline from NFL week to injuries done worse than Greg's forty niners. Jimmy Garoppolo the quarterback going to be out four to six weeks with an ankle sprain juice is really bad on defense nick. Bosa. Likely. Horn. Seal. That's the season ender Solomon Thomas. Knee injury as well. Running back Brahim. MOSTER. He left the game after an eighty yard nobody touched me touchdown. He left he left the game. He's believed to have a mild knee injury giants running back Saquon? Barkley has what is believed to be an ACL tear? He would be done for the season broncos quarterback drew lock shoulder injury cam acres of the rams rib injury packers, Davante Adams Hamstring Christian McCaffrey with left with an ankle. To Ankle, but one of them is hurt but the forty niners had saquon Barkley. Those are those are the season enders probably right there. So tough day. A lot of people who weren't playing tweeting out like all the best everybody that's going down with injury Roy.
What could TE Austin Hooper bring to Packers offense?
"Was a report from. I think it was robbed a mosque. Who covers the Green Bay packers and he made you know at least the packers are aware that they need more pask actors? They reportedly planned to add two of them via free agency and the draft. And you can certainly get a bunch. But I'm not sure that the guy that he talked he said they're played into. Target Austin Hooper. I'm not sure that's what Aaron Rodgers really needs. I would rather see somebody more explosive. I don't know what you think about that but either released Jimmy Graham who's just Zaslov signing for them. I would note that Matlin. Flair was the Falcons quarterbacks coach when Austin who was a rookie in two thousand sixteen in Atlanta But Yeah I. I don't know I'm not sure awesome. Hooper is exactly what fixes. What's wrong with Green Bay right now? Which is clear. It's Green Bay at margin only feels comfortable throwing to Davante Adams. Yeah I think they're awesome. Hooper would be fine signing You give the packers a solid possession tight end just really reliable. Almost eighty percent career catch. Ray Can block enough from a dynasty standpoint. He would block J Sternberg who drafted in the third round. This past year in. I mean I really liked him coming at a at a Texas. A&m But you know. Yeah he he would be a big roadblock in the way of j Sternberg. I'm completely with you. Though in Syria I mean I. I think that they should sign two guys. I mean I think that Al Having Allen Lazard as your number two option. The passing game isn't good enough and I think that even if they signed someone like Austin Hooper. I think should go robby Anderson. You know I think that Robbie Anderson Opposite Davante Adams would give them Just a completely different dynamic in their passing game. I think that they need some any they I think they need an explosive field stretcher. And Yeah if I was. I would focus on a guy like Robin Anderson. I mean mark has vowed is scant laying in theory had the skill set to be that guy but he just did not take a second year. Yeah there were some reports from Our friend Matthew Berry had noted that era jittery like Salazar staff-related Allen. So I think they're going to add a wide receiver for sure. But for now I would consider Allen Lazard the front runner for the number two wide receiver job. Assuming they don't add anybody which then was certainly
