Divided by the $60,000 payroll that you have, which is an average of $6666 per slot. So we are trying to keep it below that, and ideally keep our three picks at a total of $18,000. So give you guys some bargain place. That way you can fill out the rest of your lineup and go from there. But as we've said numerous times before, we don't win very often. We're like, oh, the buck sign Julio Jones. Wow. And it's like these guys can never make it for four months. I think maybe that's why the rams are reluctant to give back up the truck for Odell Beckham, but all the quarterbacks you mentioned, Rogers, I think it's receivers. Stafford, they have the worst running backs, probably out of the 32 teams. I mean, now it looks like Kim Akers is never going to play for them again. They were mixing up Daryl Henderson, Malcolm Brown, some dude named rivers from the practice squad. All of them look like below average. You would never pick any of them up in a fantasy league. But then the offensive line has been decimated. They just keep losing guys. And I don't think that Carolina team, you know, you got Robbie Anderson fighting with his coach, coaches and basically send him home. Yeah, we'll never see him again. Now that Panthers, I think, will probably be a cell team, but yeah, so the Ramsey offensive line and then Brady, combo of, it doesn't seem like he's had enough reps with the receivers yet. The line as we saw with him screaming at screaming at them during the timeout, I don't think he wants to get hit anymore. And I feel like the Rogers thing in the Brady thing is similar. "Have the other thing I want to say is could they put Jalen Ramsey on Gabe Davis and double cover dicks to try to force Isaiah McKenzie or Dawson Knox to beat you? Of course. Yeah, Mackenzie plays, if not, then Jameson Crowder. I feel like the bills have way too many offensive weapons. To do something like that. So I don't know. It's a possibility, of course, but I have an Allen Robinson as my other flex play and then Daryl Henderson junior as my 5th player. I'm just hoping that the bills are able to lock down. I mean, it's impossible because you can't lock down cup, but I'm hoping that they can keep them to respectable game while Alan Robinson is the one going off. And then I need Daryl Henderson to just sneak a touchdown somewhere. That's it. I think he'll get some carries for sure with acres being kind of iffy. Coming off the soft tissue injury. I think they call it right. They never even really specified which body part it was. Hamstring quad. I don't know. Calf. Yeah, I don't know. They've been splitting like 50 50 in camp, too. So hopefully he gets enough workload where he actually has some success and gets it touched on. It's like four days away. So close. All right. Cool. All right, so that's Ryan's Thursday night. I'm going to start with who I like on my Sunday lineup. This was just strictly games that are being played on Sunday. It's the FanDuel $3 million bonus league. I have a strategy to generally when I go to a FanDuel or is to look for a bargain quarterback. Because typically, if you can get way, you need to have some sort of difference in your lineup, which isn't a huge deal when you're doing a $3 million bonus because there's like a 100,000 entries. But if you can get a bargain quarterback to go off and then kind of have the solid running backs and receivers that you know are going to or have the best chance to generally put up the ten to 15 point weeks, you'll probably be looking pretty good. So in FanDuel, this quarterback is in this 17th spot. Just for Sunday's games. So there's what there's one on Thursday, and then there's two on Monday this year, right? So that's 6 quarterbacks. Right there. So bottom third on the Sunday slate of games. And then that's Jameis Winston coming in at 6700 bucks. I know Ryan, if you listen to some earlier episodes, as high end James Winston this year, I think Jameis Winston is playing Atlanta. The last year they were the 29th ranked defense against the past. I think with the addition of drivers Landry and alaba, Jameis should be set up for a good first week. It'll be indoors.

They're licking their wounds. After last week. They wanna make someone pay including aaron donald and leonard floyd. So they're gonna have their hands full with these seahawks owned them pretty well lately but this is a desperate seahawks squad and it's a front of the twelve. Yeah no doubt about and the seahawks were sitting at one and two before getting it right last week Getting the w over the forty niners there But yeah that was a that was sort of a desperation moment knowing that this game was kinda just fast up on them on this thursday on the short week And obviously russell wilson was cooking. Last week with three touchdown passes zero picks and know the thing and he metcalf of course Contributing carson running the ball. Pretty well problem with the seahawks defense is not that team. It's the defense they're giving up More almost most yards in the nfl. I think So that it's hard to believe Pete carroll's fielding a defense that right now is absolutely sieve and facing rams offense. That's got a plethora of weapons this is going to be Probably a shootout because wrestler's is gonna try and do everything he can to keep the seahawks viable in this one and it should be good man especially that ram steam. "Let's get into the sunday night game. The sunday night game was just not a good game at all. The brands one thirty four to fourteen. Matthew stafford twenty four point. And you know what this was against a defense. You know what i think. David montgomery is legit. And you know what he's going to continue to produce this team however the bears o line is not good. Andy dolan twenty. Seven to thirty eight towards six yards one interception no touchdowns justin fields at a rushing touchdown in this game. I mean this guy should be playing right now. I destroying watson thing was going to happen. I thought that justin fields going to get put in at some point and the bears just never went to him because this game was close at one point and then of course you know the bears defense which is not good It is not the same defense that in once was so i think you have. The bears. Defense may be dropped them because they blew a lot of coverages that touchdown to cooper cup. There was nobody in the area. Fifty six yard touchdown for matthew stafford. There was nobody around. And i think the bears defense really just amin. Maybe you've justin feels put in that a light a fire under them. But i think as a right now in know probably look for other options and then you look at the receivers stats. I mean really. Nobody impressed marquees. Goodwin had the most receiving yards at anybody Coal comment was a guy that was targeted a lot. So i think if you're desperate at the tight end spot. Maybe he somebody that you potentially want to pick up jimmy. Graham really didn't do anything in this game so i think dalton targeting him more combat. I think that's an encouraging sign. If you have commit allen robinson really didn't do anything mooney to do anything. Nobody really did anything outside of david. Montgomery he was a top performer. And matthew stafford twenty twenty six three hundred twenty one yards and three touchdowns pex solid performance. Definitely guy that's much. start every week. Daryl henderson sixteen. Russia seventy yards and a touchdown sony. Michelle night one. Rushing attempt darrow henderson. Right now's lead running back for this team so if you have him he's a must start every week until he struggles guy. That's a hot waiver. Wire pickup i think. Van jefferson. i don't think he was drafted that much in a lot of legal lease available. Definitely a guy that you could pick up and start because You know he did only have two receptions but he had that big touchdown in the beginning of sixty seven yards and stafford zavarei him. I guess i have a connection. Robber woods had one touchdown in this game really didn't do much but i expect him to pick it up. Tyler higby was targeted a decent amount. And i think that that will continue. I think he's going to be a top fantasy tight on this share. I do believe that it could be a top ten tight end fantasy so overall i was really impressed with how the rams played and i think you know stafford is gonna continue to play really well and you know what now. He's got the talent around him in offensive line. Staffers going to be a top fantasy. Qb this year he. He's playing like that with the weapons that he has an talked about it a lot and now he's got the supporting cast he's gonna be he's going to be good. This year is going up against the colts and a did not play. Well against russell wilson. That defense i think stafford's going to have a field day next week Against the colts defense. But we'll just have to wayne see with that. But i was really impressed with stafford and then the bears go up against the bengals. I mean i think montgomery will continue to do well. It's a bad defense. And i think you know the will do better. I think robinson will allen rampton with a better game against the bengals next week but bears. Offense is just not that good. And i think they gotta put justin fields in sooner rather than later. But yeah that's That's my thoughts on the second half games for sunday so with that. "A guy in my opinion, it's never really fully reached his potential as a running back. And I believe that both him, Sony Michelle and Daryl Henderson junior are two running backs who are going to be elevated by Sean mcfay is really, really creative. Running schemes this year in LA like Sean mcvay's ability to create holes and do stuff on the offensive line. It's unbelievable. And I really, really confident, and so many Michelle's ability. And we've seen over and over again, the same way cam Akers did, he got the NFL looked great. Shawn offense elevates the running backs that play in his offense. I'm excited about Tony Michelle this year along with Darrell Henderson junior. Really, in my opinion this year comes down to how much do you believe in Matthew Stafford the rams and the starting quarterback? This team is very capable of winning a lot of games. I haven't even mentioned yet. They have Aaron Donald, the best defensive tackle in the entirety of how he might even win the defensive player of the year. They have coroner Jalen Ramsey. He's a shutdown corner. He can literally shut down people like DK Metcalf, the receiver in Seattle. He can, and he will shut him down. So the rams last year or a team that was really good, they made the playoffs with Jared Goff at quarterback. In fact, once upon a time, they even went to a Super Bowl. With Jared Goff, I believe Matthew Stafford is a major upgrade on Jared Goff. He makes up with a couple players they lost. They'll be okay to have a much better quarterback now. I just meant I think I can't say this enough. I watched the film of Matthew Stafford. I regret not putting out a film analysis about him. I was a crazy off season. I'm still trying to catch up and finish all my predictions before the year starts. But that's the film analysis, I wish I'd finished because it did all the research. And I just think that Matthew Stanford so clearly, when you watch film, was buried by the media. He was in Detroit, a bad market on a bad football team. So nobody paid attention to how many incredible really good throws this dude made. And he's really going to open people's eyes this year in LA, Matthew Stafford's going to be awesome. It's not very complicated to me. I think Matthew Stafford makes the rams a Super Bowl contender. And you either agree with that or you don't. All right, let's shift gears to the forty-niners. Let's listen Do you want the williams very quickly i'm going to say is what i was gonna say when you're trying to do fantasy football analysis you assume or you hope that there's going to be rational. Marcus peters in the secondary but that's a really good defense various. It's a really good defense and the other problem. Is that still really good offense. I get it. They have issues at the running back room at the moment but my expectations is that the ravens win. This right and the problem is. Is that josh. Jacobs is fairly touched on dependent. He's not involved in the passing game so if they get down in this game. They're not going to be coming back with josh jacobs. They still have a kenyan drake. Is there Gentleman general start. Banged up is trying to get a third right. Third pasturing back But but my point is that with jalen restarts. Still on the roster expectation is that i think jacobs is going to be used significantly in the passing game here and win. Josh jacobs got an under twenty touches. That's a big number four his career when he's got under twenty touches averages ten point five fantasy points per game. I'm at running back. Twenty five here. He needs a touchdown to pay off for you. What are the like. There's always a chance that fall into the end zone here but my expectation is that he struggles fantasy wise monday night. Okay there you have it. I've got little. I have more optimism. I've got rby eighteen in my week. One ranks last one here. Matthew is the rams against the bears. You and i both have gerald henderson. Almost ten spots ahead of sony. Michelle this week. I think he's been by the way anderson. Makes the other receiving votes on the loveliest here. The big question is just gonna see two things for me. My thought on henderson is that i think similar what we saw actually last night in the thursday night game that i think sean mcvay is gonna approach this game similar. How mike mccarthy did which is like. I don't think i'm gonna be able to run up the middle. I don't think i'm gonna. We'll run between the tackles against the bears here so you know what i think. I'm going to have successes on the edge and my expectation is that if the rams want to attack the edge that darryl henderson is better suited for that than sony michelle. He's at least from what we've seen so far the better pass catcher. He's more familiar in the system. Obviously as well. He's more likely to me than tony. That would suggest that they didn't really believe andrea swift was good enough football shape to be able to handle a full workload and not that he was going to handle a full workload but really questioning him out the volume of work he could do especially in week one so i expect him to play. He was a full participant yesterday for the record. But i just don't know it might be a feel thing. Like how does he look does. He looks like he's getting tired as they have to. Rotate out more frequently. I think this week is a tough call. Andy andrea swift. I'm with you. I loved the andrea swift. I think the lions offensive line as a chance to be good this year. They're not just automatically good but they have a chance. But i would take for me and something that i've i've said this for a long time. I grew up with this but with david montgomery. I just think the cream rises with that since you literally didn't have a beard when you i grew up amid west kid so obviously you know with a lot of a lot of milk and cow's cream rises is something that makes sense for you know where i grew up running after usa. Mcvay loves that play where the quarterback role outright and the and the running back rolls the other way and they pass it against the grain and like just a back screen. Yeah sorry. like mcveigh play. Like they'll just try to do different ways to get the ball and henderson's hand through the passing game. Yeah it's offensive play. Yeah it's a fun play. It's a stable of his offense. There's a couple of different places that he uses quite a bit in terms of getting the ball to running back in space. You saw a lot with with todd. Gurley back in the day. I think you'll see some of it with henderson on sunday so anyway that would-be but again i haven't running back twenty six. I've a really quick question. And i don't want real podcast but from a strategy standpoint just want asked us because i do think it's interesting or at least important to understand the way that rankings are done. Yes when you're talking about running back twenty six and we obviously say like that's a flex play. I think most of the time we would all choose to usually play a wide receiver in the flex over a running back. Npr appr scoring. It's not across the board but most of the time we do that so when running back at twenty six as a flex play. You're more than likely saying you have a wide receiver that you'd probably play over top of him but he's still someone you should consider based on who you've got on your bench fair fair. My has about twenty two your slightly higher than myself for field. You more optimistic yell a little bit. I think that maybe sony michelle joining. The team is a little bit more limited than usual. Daryl henderson obviously played at a high level last season. But your your concerns are are noted and clear. I mean look last season. There were seven games. Camakers didn't play and darryl henderson was out targeted and out. Snap by malcolm brown and those games so we haven't really seen him utilize as a feature back in the nfl just yet so i have some concerns. I there's some positives here just because he is a path to a big workload behind a good offensive line in a good offense. They're at home. There are positive. So i could see. I could see fifteen. Carry seventeen carries much like us edwards. And that's why. I have them back to back. I think they're in a similar situation. We're not concerned about. Aj brown any week. I'm not sure. We're concerned about. Julio jones but is there a chance mike that a red hot start is on the horizon for jones. Absolutely you know he should be relatively fresh new. We miss some time leading up to the season but he should be pretty. Fresh air miss a lot of time. Last year had the offseason. We're going into week. One should be ready to play a full time role. And you're matchup is outstanding. What's expand your slightly on those corners. Top three corners projected here four arizona. You have byron murphy. Who's been solid used a second round pick a couple years ago. He's already can play inside it out. But the robert alford. He has played zero snaps over the past. But i want to bring it up here. Because i think it's important. I don't think this goes into fantasy analysis enough just in general for the industry. I've tried to put it into my my work as as i can. Okay but i think in general for the industry that not enough emphasis is placed on these. Are people feel. You spent time in the front office of two different. Nfl franchises so you can speak to this. Like it's not just numbers and stats. It's not even just film study. The fact of the matter is is that these are all people people with like any other workplace may have egos and they have jealousies and there's pettiness and there's politics and there's relationships and good relationships and bad relationships and so i think ryan tannehill a veteran corner quarterback right and aj brown remember. The offseason edgy was like julio all the instagram post. Julio come to tennessee trying to get tennessee like they want who to fit in they want him to be a big part of what they're doing in tennessee. I think that ryan tannehill is going to make it a point to try to get who jones going early and often in this game and i would even see i could even see. Edwards is the undisputed starting running back going into the season math along those lines. How high does he. Climbing your rankings. In week one matchup right here on. Espn monday night. Football against the las vegas raiders. i'm at eighteen. I'm the highest on him among all of our ranker's but i'm worried honestly that i'm not high enough. This is a really good match. I think he scores okay. I'm just. I'm just call that right. Now i think he scores a touchdown pass. Catchers of the ravens are a bit banged up here. They have a behind gus edwards. They haven't inexperience guy. Tyson williams to your point lane bell is still on the practice squad even if they activate him for this game hard to see him getting into the game other than maybe a player to my expectation is lean on gus edwards in a road game monday night football that he gets a big workload and a good matchup scores a touchdown i think he scores at least one. So honestly i'm at eighteen. And i might be too low. Yeah i have them at a one thousand. Nine cam. hasn't twenty-one mike. What i'm most interested in is. Why do hate gus edwards. Oh no no. I wanna see whether or not they get him involved the passing game it all this weekend and that's the concern for me as well with edwards which is why we're not higher on him right. Look at this. You look at greg. Roman play collar and you look at his seven seasons as a play caller in the nfl. Six of his running back. Units top ten in rushing yards and touchdowns. That's pretty telling actually both baltimore. Offenses were top six in those categories. None of the seven were top. Twenty and running back targets. None of that is a trend. And we've seen time and time again with greg. Roman at that changes this season with jk dobbins out of there right. There was some swirling. Maybe they would throw more to that position but without dobbins. I don't think that happens. However we're talking about a lot of positives here with gus edwards. A high scoring offense a really. Good up against the raiders. Defense we expect a struggle certainly early in the season and look edwards has been really good right. he's been around since two thousand eighteen. You went undrafted. He is second in yards per carry at five point. Two in the entire. Nfl among running backs of course during that span. So something's not like. Mpp are the lack of targets it is going to limit him a little bit of a mid range tobacco rb to non. I certainly feel a little better about. The bottom. line is a v. scores. You're in business if not it could be trouble. There implied team. Total is twenty eight points. When you look at the over unders and again we expect them to be up in this game. We expect them to be running. Edwards has nine career games. He's gotten fifteen or more touches in those games. He's averaging over ninety three yards a game over five yards per carry. I think he gets big workload here. I think he scores a touchdown on monday night. I'm making. I'm pushing my vegas pushing my trips to the middle on that one gus edwards gets into the end zone on monday night. All right so the rams have a couple of running backs this year. They've got a potential new starting running back. I should say daryl henderson and it also certainly michelle acquired in a trade earlier. This training camp. Would you start either of these players against the bears in week. One through a pretty good bears defense for the most part. And this rams offense that we think it's going to be very very good matthews operate under center but it could be very very good because they throw for like five thousand yards and thirty five passing touchdowns. Yeah i mean. The bears always play the rams tough. It feels like you know over over the years. And and so i would i start them obviously depends on your options. I've henderson twenty six. I've sony michelle at thirty four. So if i'm picking one rams running back right now. It's henderson the expectation here. Is that henderson's involved in the passing game here again i have ms mid tier flex so probably not see how this tough match-up let's see how this plays out because we're still not really sure what this rotations going to look like. We think henderson over michelle but to your point we think michelle gets the goal line work. We think he gets short yardage stuff. It could be henderson just as the third down back. So let's see how this plays out the one thing. I'll say on henderson. Is that if there's a guy that can break a big play. I think it's more likely to be henderson than sony. Michelle and if they can't run the ball between the tackles..

We need another hand here. Henderson got back being a little bit and the ravens are sort of like an accelerated version of that where i think they do trust gus edwards the same way that the rams have some trust in the ability of darryl henderson and there's a lot of field in that building okay like maybe gus edwards can be that every down back. You just haven't seen it yet right. You haven't seen him hold up over the course of a full year as a full time tailback. And it's a big leap to just assume that a guy is going to be able to do that so wouldn't surprise me at all if they're looking for some insurance a that. We saw that with the workouts yesterday. Bringing in guys like le vian bell. And yeah i mean i think looking at teams that are heavy the tailback position seattle and new england will be two of them would be a smart thing to do and i can certainly see the seahawks at it and saying okay. Maybe baltimore had a nice draft great a couple years ago on rishaad patty new. We'd get something back for him. Yeah and seattle by the way again with russell wilson's contract. They won't draft picks because they've got to get some cheap labor here because they're paying him. Now dwayne brown and bobby wagner and jamal adams big money so it's interesting. Vegas has no agenda so stafford wins. Five games with the lions he leaves goff replaces him there over under in vegas five wins. The rams won ten with gothic leave. Stafford comes in their over under its ten and a half and golf one. Ten is the media higher on stafford. Then the reality of stafford if you go back and look no consistency. Hurt twice You know a lot of fourth quarter comeback wins mostly due to the fact they trailed in the fourth quarter when you talk to. Nfl people what do they say about stafford. "Scoring opportunities for matthew stafford in la. Now talk about daryl henderson who stephania another injury update on henderson. Who the rams this preseason had already said knock gonna play in preseason games kind of rest up that angle. make sure. It's all good this time last year due to it and now he's dealing with something else right now it's a thumb and they're calling it. A mild thumbs sprain. They've already said they expect him to be available for week one. But i think this just adds to the notion that darryl henderson is cause for concern as a three down back. He's had injury issues going forward. There's no question on the talent. The speed the acceleration. But i wanna take you back to last year when you had a quad injury in week eight. They had the by the following week. And if you look at his rushing stats after that this is when cam acres started to really takeover but in week eleven eight attempts for five yards and we twelve ten attempts for nine hundred three for forty nine the next week. Two for five then one for minus two. He struggled at the end of the year even as he was getting back from that and then he had ankle injury which cost him the final few games of the season. I think they love daryl henderson talent. I don't think they have thought ever that they could really rely on him for three downs. Even though sean mcvay hinted that that he could be a three down back he's still expressed concern about him. Actually being able to do that across the season i feel like an injury that happens now. Even if it's not going to cost any anytime in their regular season to begin the year only reaffirms the rams senses the. Hey maybe we do need to either have a plan for darrow henderson or acquire. Somebody else who could help us be more of a workhorse back. This is the team that few years ago picked up c. j. anderson off the scrap heap and turn them into one hundred yard per rush one hundred yards per game rusher so this system has certainly made lesser known or later stage running backs in their career very productive. So i wanna ask matthew now because you have him fourteenth amongst all running back you're the highest rancor. Espn daryl henderson after last night's news. Are you considering adjusting. Henderson's spot non until we get more definitive. Like if i knew he was going to be out for what we know he just had exactly so so no so you know the answer is is no right like if we got definitive news that he was going to be missing time. Then yes i would but because it says he's going to play in week one. No i mean this is somebody who is on my love list like i'm running back fourteen to your point his his. Rb twenty one. I just here's the thing it's we've talked about this a little bit but just very quickly the lead. Running back sean. Mcvay offense whoever that guy is has immediate fantasy value immediate fantasy value because this is a team that was second red zone. Rush percentage in twenty twenty That has been third and red zone. Rush percentage since sean mcvay came to the rams a lot of that fueled by todd gurley of course but even even todd early last season in los angeles when it didn't seem like he had a lot left in the tank. He still scored double-digit touchdowns me like he has always had a productive fantasy running back dating back to you know even when he was in washington and he was the offense coordinator there for that team. So just whoever the guy. Is that the lead running back. Sean mcvay offense running behind a pretty good offensive line is going to have value. And then you add somebody. Like darrell henderson. Who you and. I've talked about is a good football player. Maybe not as good as camakers. Whatever but last year when he got an opportunity he produced he had six different games with twelve or more touches last year. He averaged fourteen point. Three fantasy points a game which on a per game basis basically been running back seventeen and now he's got the opportunity to be the guy on an offense that we things can be a lot better because they're gonna be in scoring position more often and more efficient with matthew stafford under center. I don't understand by the way no comp there's no camakers there's no malcolm brown like listen. They xavier jones. That's the insurance. You wanna if you draft aerial henderson. They had jake funk there but unless they son a veteran. It's the darrell henderson show. He's a nice pass catcher. Gimme all the darrell henderson. This year. interesting. I see differently. I concerns again because concerned with that. They don't that they're all hinder. Skin can handle that job the way you think he can handle the job. I don't believe and i just. I saw the rams when they were having join practice with the cowboys. Just the buzz. The feel i got was that their ears were open and eyes were open to the potential that they might get someone else late in the preseason before the season began which is totally fair. My argument daryl. Henderson my counter to that is i. Don't think darryl henderson needs twenty touches like again. This is a guy with a lot of scoot. If he gets fifteen touches in this offense which i think is completely reasonable mid tier rb to man he. I think the problem is that like basically. Since his rookie season ended there have been many more indicators suggesting that the rams don't wanna make him a high volume guy than there have been indicators that they do wanna make him a high volume guy. The strongest indicator has been at the player who got him on. The bench got hurt in a freak accident training training camp. Obviously but my point is. Is that my argument to that. Is like he doesn't need to be a high volume guy in this offense to be fantasy productive especially where he's going. I've got twenty one. You have your lower consensus. We don't so quickly i want. Ask one quick question field understanding that. You're not quite as high and neither am i. Is there a backup. Or is there an insurance policy in that offense right now that you think is worth rafting if you're not that high internal i'm not drafting an insurance policy there yet because also the thing that we didn't get to say is that the lead. Back into sean. Mcveigh offense like they had three different backs last year. Like they they. They wanted to make a committee up until camakers gave them no choice. So again i i when i was talking about henderson when k makers initially got ours. There's kind of one or two ways goes the rams go all in on him or he gets hurt almost right away and we're talking about him by week five being either on the bench or somebody else having more carries and oh by the way they now have a quarterback who can throw the heck out of the ball who i think will be throwing into the end zone lot more often say last thing is that like i think i do. Think the idea of them. Adding a veteran running back is more in play now than it was before. And as you look around the league how many teams that we see. You're like how are they going to keep all of these running backs. I mean guys like tony jones last night or flashing for the saints like we've seen tons of players in the preseason that look like nfl running backs but are also fourth or fifth string on their respective rosters all right..

Hey they're all went up like the death star here but yeah thumb. Strain left thumb. Sprain to daryl henderson. So he's day to day for. That's the information i just got. So day-to-day left thumb sprain for darrow henderson. Rams running back so. I guess that's the best possible outcome when you hear about an injury to a starter day to day. That means he has a chance to get back. And it's just a a a thumb sprain it's tough Rather have my running-backs healthy going into preseason game number three going into the regular season but sometimes i get boo boos nixon pains and you have to work your way through it. But it's good that you have a quarterback matthew stafford if this were jared goff as you're starting quarterback and you lost both starters at running back then i would say cancelled christmas now with this guy you at least have a chance to increase your passing game and win games with his arm. I mean that's really why they went out and got stafford right. I mean it's hey look we're going to try and stop the run but really we're going to try and force jared goff to beat us. He's having some struggles right now in training camp but they sound more mental than physical. What can you tell us burroughs progress. Well first of all. I think that's typical for anyone. Coming off a major injury like this. I don't think people have paid enough attention to how big joe boroughs injury was because his rehab is essentially been fairly smooth. We saw him. Ot as we saw him throwing the ball and doing some work at otas. And i don't think we expected that initially but remember he was injured. Late in the season had torn. acl mc l. partial end meniscus injury. I mean essentially blew out his knee and now he's got to stand in the pocket and have defense coming at that same. His left his lead leg often injured by contact for quarterbacks remember carson palmer had similar devastating injury and number of years ago incidentally while with the bengals and then tom brady had a lead leg injury as well and they all talk about the initial struggles when they have to be back in the pocket with players coming at them. I was lucky. Enough to talk to joe borough while i was there and i thought he was great at explaining what he was going through. He said the first couple of days he was in practice. His instinct was to just pick his leg up. Just get it off the ground and get away from the guys coming at him and mind you. He's in the non-contact jersey. Nobody's going to touch them. That apprehension is still there and he recognized that he was struggling he oriented some practice sessions after practice just to work on having people come at him so he could get that reaction to dull a little bit He's now doing better with that. I think it's a couple of things Because there was discussion about do you rest in versus do go ahead with the procedure but if you're carson you've had a history of injuries why not remove any concern that this is going to be a problem going forward so i think that factored into the equation And now is the question of. How quickly does this foot feel good and feel like he can get back out in the practice field. I don't think that they are set in stone. Like it's gotta be week one because they want carson wentz comfortable and they have their own challenges with the entire offense of line basically banged up and people coming back at different places so if you were watching practice you can see. That's that's going to be a challenge for him as well and that may factor into how quickly they rolling back out there. Interestingly enough the biggest question mark are having this colts is no longer carson wentz. His return quinton nelson to turn. It is the massive gaping hole. They haven't left tackle because along those lines off all the offensive line sent money. It was just a turnstile turnstile on. They feel very good about eric fisher so a couple of years they they did. It'll be interesting. I'll talk about this later. But they're going to be there. Becoming experts in is coming off of achilles repairs. And i think that's why they were confident. And bringing eric fisher over the mac. Obviously coming off that same surgery. And so i think that they're they feel good about air fisher but he's not going to be there. Probably the first few weeks of the season marlin mac. I love him. He is a great guy and he is. I think he's going to be walk. Mark my words he's going to be the benchmark for cam acres. Watch what happens with marla. Mac gonna see a guy who comes back and performs a very high level. They have jonathan taylor. He's incredibly athletic. I loved watching a practice. Marla mac will have a role. And i think this action. This weekend was critical for him. He needed to learn. He needs to learn to trust that achilles but he's doing everything asked of him and i think he's gonna set a new bar for how guys particularly running backs. Come back from this type of injury. Matthew quickly i want marlin mac to be great and come back and look like what he was before the achilles injury. Although for jonathan taylor's value as a result of that is slightly. I'm not not. Here's the thing. I mean just saying yeah like slightly the offensive line concerns. I you know the fact that he's going to be the head of a three headed committee but like marlin mac naim heinz. I think get enough work to just be annoying. Fantasy managers of jonathan taylor. I've johnson taylor running back eleven. I'm clearly not that concern. But i think eighty is running back nine or something like that slightly lower on him. The contestants consensus. I haven't looked last day or two so somebody can tell me but you know so light.
