"An extremely diverse range of adaptations for for for its property from like stuff that was really, really faithful to the book to like Steven Spielberg's A.I. Yeah, right. It sort of hints at it side. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Where it's really only like the core themes and and stuff of the book that sort of runs through that movie. Yeah. So I was really intrigued to see sort of that that that property sort of filtered through. Through that souls like vibe, the lens almost of a soul. Sensibility. Yeah. Yeah. And there's Geppetto, of course. And Pinocchio and Cthulhu sounds like a match made in weird heaven to me. Like, I don't care if I didn't love it. I think it's an awesome idea. It's like, whoa, what? Like, that's a cool light because Pinocchio is dark as hell. A puppet infused with like Cthulhu, like. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, anybody who's ever like grown up on the old cartoons, they're all dark as hell. So it's like, you know, they were they were adult. I mean, I know there was the Guillermo del Toro film recently adaptation, but there were I mean, there was a live action one from twenty nineteen that's actually extremely faithful to Pinocchio. That's really. Yeah. That really has some nightmare fuel, like visual aesthetics to it. You know, what's so funny to this over Pinocchio is so popular that one of my favorite movies of all time, it's called Roxanne. It's with Daryl Hannah and Steve Martin. Oh, yeah. To the show. No, the best rock as well with the nose. Yeah. Yeah. And they reversed it so that Steve Martin was like very truthful and eloquent instead of a liar. And then the guy that he was helping date Daryl Hannah was the guy who was a liar and who was like just the job fireman. And it was this cool. You could tell it wasn't a ton, but it was obvious that there was sort of this like what is Geppetto's actual art? Sorry. What is Pinocchio's look like on a person? And I loved I thought that's one of my favorite movies of all time growing up. And you see Pinocchio picked up. I mean, almost any puppet game with puppetry. There has to be some connection, like even in the back of their brain to this kind of stuff. Yeah, it's awesome. I was just asked. The DM, hang on. YouTube. Yes, YouTube members do get Discord now. Yeah, we figured that out. Sorry, I was that was a DM. But yeah, so it's very cool. It's awesome to see that game doing well. But another game that surprised me was Cyberpunk. So we get this code and people were asking me why didn't review lies of P. It's because I actually had the Cyberpunk code a good deal earlier. And I was doing this review. It's really hard to separate 2.0 from the DLC, but it's funny because a bunch of people haven't waited for the DLC and they're just doing 2.0, which I thought was interesting because I didn't know how many people would go back. I mean, even though it fixes stuff, you know, you never quite know what people are going to do. But I want to make it clear, man, that it does not fix the role playing part in the narrative or the immersion or anything like that. 2.0 is almost 100% statistically built. So people who jump into it and are like, oh, does it increase immersion stuff that they sort of changed that they or sorry, stuff that we sort of assumed might be in the game? None of that is fixed. Imagine Cyberpunk is a combat simulator, not a role playing game. It is a Cyberpunk combat simulator where they've taken Cyberpunk and they have now finally fixed the combat and they have done but nominal, but it is not. This is just me. It is not the resurrection of Cyberpunk. I just want to make sure it is actually a switching over to a different style of how to fix the game. So I just want to make sure that's clear. SBC $5 super chat silver should change his name to gold because he has color now. Somebody who's been around for a while, I guess saw your old black and white webcam days. What were you gonna say, Abzi? Go for it. You know, so I was pretty negative about Cyberpunk. Obviously, I was waiting for that game for like eight years and stuff. And after it came out, it disappointed me and all that stuff. You all know, I've talked about it multiple times. But going back into 2.0, knowing what I'm expecting, I'm kind of enjoying it a little bit more. I still have issues with it for sure. The big one being the overall game design is very Far Cry, very Ubisoft Far Cry. Yeah, true. You got points all over the map, and then you press your map and go there. I'm going to go there, do this. Most quests last around one thing, you do one thing, you move on to the next point and stuff like that. That was one big issue. But the combat feels fucking good. I'm doing a katana thing. I tried out a katana thing, street kid kinda. You could dash in the air and do all sorts of cool shit. That part is really fun. I am, however, still getting not just visual bugs, I'm getting some really annoying ones. For example, sometimes when I go into combat, my stamina bar just does not show up. It just doesn't want to show up for some reason. And there's these terminals that you could go to where you either press F to buy a fucking thing. You know what I mean? You buy food or whatever you want. Or you hold F or something to jack in and get some creds off of it. However, when you hold F, my thing doesn't move in the bar, so I don't know how long I have to hold it. And then sometimes I hold it too long and I end up buying the thing anyway, or I hold it too little and I end up buying the thing. There's just some little things that are still kind of annoying there. The cop system is the way it's a thing now. It's actually a working thing. It plays like GTA, car chases and all that stuff. I added combat to the cars and you can do some really wild shit. And the perks are awesome. Some of the perks have things to do with vehicles. So like, for example, I'm going reflex and with reflex, you can hop out of the car and go into the air and just do some shit and dash enemies and stuff. So the combat side of it, it's like a power fantasy game now. And going into it, just expecting that is pretty cool. Honestly, also they did, I still hate the protagonist, though I can't stand him and his dialogue. I don't like the writing of him, but they did a good job. I kind of forgot that, but with the kind of the conversations with the NPCs and like them being so animated and you sitting down and they're kind of pretty cool and immersive and I kind of forgot about that. But I just wish, you know, they went more that direction. But no, it's it's a fun game. It's a fun game. Yeah. Yeah. I would say that it's a fun game. You know, it's I just don't want people because the DLC is coming out soon. And I tried to make it clear there's basically a split in the DLC at some point. And I think it would be I said indulgent to play the second one, meaning it's not necessarily required and it's not necessarily going to change your life. But you could do the two splits, but it doesn't. And it doesn't do what one or two missions in Cyberpunk did where you had 10 ways to do it. It's not. They're just not doing that. The Maelstrom quest was an awesome the Maelstrom quest. Yeah, that was awesome. But what I like about the perks, guys, is that they're just like, fuck it. Almost all the perks have new moves. So the moves look different. You have new moves that you never they almost just said, well, we can't do the immersion. So why don't we add some animations, fix the guns, fix the driving, fix this, fix that feels good, especially I turned off like the all the numbers, values and all that stuff. Right. Yeah. And it feels really good. Yeah. Yeah. And and the DLC has so 2.0 has a hundred a hundred plus new cyberwear, new clothes, new blah, blah, blah, which, by the way, armor no longer with clothes. So you can dress like Don Johnson from Miami Vice, no shirt, fucking jacket, looking like a creep and not worry about armor. And I think that's a huge improvement. Stamina being connected to the guns. Huge improvement. Running shouldn't a cyberpunk character should not get tired running. It's just and by the way, regardless if I'm heavy or light, I can run longer than any GTA character ever can. Like it's ridiculous, right? Where they've got COPD and they're just like fucking, you know, they're eating donuts and you're like, why is this guy not able to run? Cyberpunk just says, screw it. It didn't work. So the idea that it's connected to almost you could just say it's recoil and the longer you hold down, the more tired you get. And by the way, we we talked about this. You see this in shooting on YouTube where, you know, people are really good, but even they have to do ten thousand rounds downrange to get that good. So it makes sense. I like that. But yeah, the perks were awesome. You can and put guns on cars, you know, light people up or having bosses drop when you get to five stars. I call them bosses, but I shouldn't. They're different teams can drop trauma teams or whatever they're called, and they can drop and they have a unique mixture that can be quite difficult. And it yeah, all that's I mean, it's all fixed. And then you have the extra ray tracing, which maybe we'll talk about a little bit. I personally am almost done ray tracing. I'm almost so burned out on ray tracing that when I turned it all on, the game just looks cartoony now, because as somebody who's traveled neon cities in real life, at some point, you're like, this isn't, you know, this has gone so far beyond, you know, it looks like you're walking around reflections. It's a hall of mirrors, man. It just looks I get it's a it's a stylistic world to be a little dystopian. But that's I think just grimy, a little grimy. That's that's just a thing. More Blade Runner 2049. Even though there's the neon, it's a lot of times look at the nuked out place in 2049. I think it's 2049. Yeah, it's all it's that almost Mars. You know, like weird, black and white almost. I love that. But yeah, man, it's cool. And it rated well. I do want to say this, people are asking me why rated this or why reviewed this one. There's two reasons. One, nothing weird happened in the background, which was what happened with cyberpunk with the fake previews and all that stuff. Number two, we got the code early enough. And this is building on a game. This DLC is building on a game that's already out. Cyberpunk wasn't out. And there was a lot of questionable shit. So this was quite easy to look at it and say, what are we going to get to to add to this versus what are we going to get as a full thing? So that's why I did it. And I'm like, I enjoyed the hell out of it. As long as you go into it, knowing this thing ain't going to change. What did the gameplay tweaks do for like the games balancing? Because one of the things I found was made it easier in the day. Sorry, want to point that it made it easier. So our fantasy as fuck, especially even even even easier, because one of the things I found, one of the things I found was that the difficulty was so, so, so easy to break in. Yeah, it's less easy to break silver. So it's less easy to break because stuff's been balanced, right? Right. You have so many moves silver that you can even run very hard. You're like, do well, in a way, I don't know, silver. I sort of liked this part because I was like, OK, I am a I'm the guy doing the quest. I am the bad ass. It's the diversity of options you have to choose from. I'm just saying, so be aware of your strength where in in like the old in in like long cyberpunk, it was like you found like a legendary suit blazer. Right. You could just basically stack armor mods on. It's not like that. And then you and then you were basically immortal at that point. So had gone because you have so much damage reduction that you enemies couldn't kill you even on the hardest difficulties. Right. So what happens now is they've changed armor again off a close. And so it's a restricted number. But also the cyber where is not restricted by attributes. It adds points to the cyber where due to your attributes. So it's reversed so you can get them. And then if you have a high thing, it can add it can basically bonuses that. So it's a reverse that. So but I will say it is easier. I think it's legitimate. Go ahead, Abzi. This is over if you want to actually like press buttons and kind of do things in combat. Definitely don't expect too much in hacking, even though hacking was already very, very broken. It's oh, you can queue up. But you can. So even though before in the original game, I could kill a whole outpost before even entering the building, it's just even more so now. So it's definitely like the superpower of fantasy route where you don't have to lift a finger to kill you in a packs, though, is awesome on one guy when you queue up like three hacks and you just watch him on fire and his gun jamming. And you're like, so bitches. But yeah, it's yeah, I would. It is easier. It is easier. You know, hardest difficulty wasn't insanely hard originally. It is a step down now. But that's also just, you know, if you're into the power of fantasy and you want to spin around with your blades, turn it on easy, have a good time, you know, do whatever you guys want. I want to make sure people don't think I'm saying I do like how guns work now as well. I think I think I think it works well in that game. It's less of a number game where it's like kind of a linear progression of, oh, this weapon has a bigger number than this weapon. I'm just going to switch to that. It's kind of more you can, you know, it's more versatile. You can use a bunch of weapons, upgrade them. They all have different stats. So one can offer higher attack speed for lower damage, et cetera, et cetera. And then there's those iconic ones that have a little bit of extra attributes. It's not that, you know, Destiny style of, oh, this gun has a bigger number. I'm just going to grab that right. And I was going to point out, I don't know why I stopped, but Cyberpunk 2.1 or 2.0 adds about 100 stuff, but so does the DLC on its own. So if you have DLC as well, it adds about 100 things, I believe, like a new cyberware and stuff. I've been playing a scent. The detail in the game is awesome. Yeah. Scent is great, guys. If you haven't played a scent. Yeah. Great music in that game, too. Dude, I just thought a scent. I mean, there were a couple of issues. I know you guys, some of you guys had co-op issues. I believe it might have been Johnny. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Was it you? Yeah. A lot of people were having co-op issues. Man, Cadiz and I played. Admittedly, we're in the same state and town, so that it could be, you know, multiple jumps. But I got lucky. Let's see. I wanted to ask you real quick, sorry, just in case you were moving on from there. So I was really interested in the kind of skills revamp and all that, because for me, the skills was one of the weak points. You know, if we ignore the RPG stuff, that was also a big issue. But I didn't find the skills very interesting. There were one or two that introduced new things, but I didn't find them very inspiring. Have you guys come across skills that made you go like, oh, you know, this is cool or this is going to change? A lot of them. Yeah, a lot of them. A lot of them. Yeah. Like one of them was literally, oh, you can you can block bullets now with a blade. The other one next to it, the small one was like, oh, now you can deflect those on enemies. And then the next one was like, oh, if you use slow motion now, it doesn't use stamina. It's like, OK, these are these are pretty cool. Some of them are saying boring plus percentages, but many less, I think. I think for the most part, they've added animations and moves to cyberpunk to make you feel like the perk you buy. By the way, I'm talking about perks. The perks you buy matter. And oh, yeah, there's a whole new skill thing now. True. Sorry. Yeah. That's for the are we talking about the dimension? Oh, like you level up like the more you do something, you get extra stuff for it. Like the more you hack, you get extra hacking shit. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It is Ubisoft. It dies, though. You are right. And it's dropping and it's dropping XP for like 10 things. And then what's weird is you go into the skill thing for like the engineer, the whatever. And it's just it's like go there and you go there thinking you can choose something. And it's like, no, we just want to tell you just to see it. Yeah. And in battle, I kept going, but I always told me, go there, go there, even though it doesn't unlock anything. There's nothing that happens in that entire screen. And it's like, guys, in the middle of battle, you need to go to your skill section. You're like, what? And you go there and it's like, plus two to damage. You're all, dude, I mean, I'm this guy. Yeah. Why? What are you stopping me for? What? So. So how is Idris in this? He is. So I said it in the review and I believe it that I like Keanu Reeves because he is the Paxil, the antidepressant of actors. It works in certain movies. I think it worked in John Wick. It doesn't work in everything. Idris acts, and so therefore his character and what he goes through matters more, I guess. And, you know, Johnny isn't he's a side character. He's not you. This is your entire quest, not entire quest. A lot of your quest is about these new characters in the DLC. So they have a relationship with you that's different than a guy in your brain. These are people who had presence. Yeah, they're standing there and they've had actual issues like the hacker that hires you, some other things. I liked them. They weren't. Did they, you know, amazed? No, no. In fact, I will say this, and I fully believe this. I would much rather have neither one of these guys in the game and have that money have been spent on the development. I always said that. Yeah, I truly, truly believe that. And I love Keanu Reeves. But I just, man, come on. How much money? Even a million. I know that sounds like people are like, that's a lot of money, but not a lot for now. People were speculating as well because when they did that Maelstrom quest that has a lot of good RPG elements and immersive stuff in it. At that point, they did not hire Keanu and some people speculated that they hired him and then they scrapped a lot of things or changed where the game's direction. Yeah, I really don't think so. But it's at least a little bit evident. Yeah, sorry, I should have had the should add the video playing where we're talking about this. Well, I just moved us. I just want to move the video. Give me one second, guys. There we go. There you guys can see a little bit of the video where we're talking. All right. So with cyberpunk also, 2.0 is free and my rating for the game was three ratings. One, if you love cyberpunk already, get it and get the 2.0 and just jump in. If you don't, it depends on why you didn't like cyberpunk. If you didn't like for the immersion because it lacked it, if you didn't like it for the lore because it didn't dive as much into it as you would like, this does not fix anything. Check the 2.0. That's my personal belief. And if you liked it but had issues with bugs, it's worth getting. But I think really this game and the DLC itself, not 2.0, but the DLC itself hinges on if you why you did not like cyberpunk, that's the most important thing of getting this. It's not because the people who like it, it's to me, it's almost a buy for any game. If somebody, you know, if somebody likes a game and DLC comes out, it's like the review that is pretty easy. You like the game, get the DLC and, you know, unless it's terrible, like Far Cry DLC. I was going to say, yeah, I think the shooting the control is improved. The ray tracing, like I said, I didn't. I mean, I messed with it to test it. The I would say the improvements for FPS are small because they've already improved FPS a lot. So the improvement you get isn't like massive with the DLC or the two point. It's got some improvements, but you're not going to get 20 extra frames. At least I did. Oh, lastly, I don't know what's going on, but they were warning everybody about watching out for CPUs. Did you guys see that where they were like, hey, this thing could we're using every core, this thing could blow up your PC. Make sure you have your cooling situated. I don't know if that was PR speak. I think it's still them sort of in the old PR of like this will change the world. Nothing, nothing is needed other than your original your original causing some tiny lights flicker edge in your game. You are you talking you're talking about three frames in little you're talking about frame frame, just normal normal super sampling.

Chris Kohls Reviews the Performances in the Original 'Blade Runner'
"Into Blade Runner, go and see it, I've seen it. It's there, it's real. Let's talk about the rest of the cast Emmett Walsh of Byron James, I think this must have been her first or second movie. You look at Chris and Daryl Hannah as an actor, talk to me about these performances. Yeah, I mean, it's similar to what I said about the last couple of films. There is this sort of cavalier nature to the way that people talk. I know this is kind of supposed to be this stylized film the war, but everything does come across as naturalistic. And in a way that they don't really act and people don't really act this way anymore. And I really loved it. I especially loved when the cop was going through the list of androids that he has to kill. I mean, just the way that he talks about it is I felt like it was like I was really, I was really there. This was a real life thing. These guys are who they are pretending to be. And I don't know, I don't know how they cast this so unbelievably well. Rutger Hauer, how do you tell people, okay, act a little bit unnatural like an Android. But don't overdo it, but don't overdo it. Yeah, yeah, just so subtly that people get the hint that there's something a little bit off. But, you know, and this guy, he was in everything in the 80s, like being a psycho. You know, he pulls off that weird. I think there's something about, in the 1980s, there was something about how they figured out that like, okay, let's cast normal looking folks to be the good guys, and let's cast people that are a bit off looking to be the bad guys. And now it's sort of reversed. They're like, oh, the good guys are all the weird looking folks. And the bad guys are all like the very handsome attractive people. They kind of messed it up in our world. In our current time, Hollywood. I think Harrison Ford, you know, I wouldn't have thought Harrison Ford would be a good choice just because he was so famous from Star Wars. In the glass. I'm sorry. Subtle things. What an amazing moment.

"There's been talk of a third one with Uma Thurman Uma Thurman's daughter. Fox's daughter that survived. Who they wanted, yeah. Zendaya to play. Oh, did they? Absolutely. That's who the Fox picked for her daughter. And they never officially killed Daryl Hannah. She was just blinded in the trailer. The trailer was a fight. They gave her lips ending. You're like, dun dun dun. The end. Also, I loved it was so gross, but when they stepped on her eyeball, I think I read that they put like shrimp and stuff in there. Just squished, had to squish through her toes, had to, because we had to get that toe shot. I think it's the ultimate compliment I was telling my wife this. It's like the ultimate compliment that you could pay any artist is when you see something to read something they do. It's like it sounds like them. Oh yeah. It sounds distinctly very much a signature. Yeah. And so it's like, you can hear Tarantino, but now it's like we know it's personality and it's like, you know, I've always wanted to use that word gargantuan. I just can't use it in the sentence. That sounds like Tarantino. So this is a very much has his personality all over and if you love movies, that's a good thing. I think the best dialog piece is when she's standing up at the railing at the end of the fight and she's just like, yeah. Those of you who are lucky enough to be left alive, you can leave. But leave your limbs. Those belong to me. That's such a great line. Yeah. So awesome. And I love the camera shot like way below her. Yeah. So it makes her look giant. Gargantuan, perhaps. Yeah. There was that rumor I thought that when it first came out that it was flip flopped in Japan or Asia where it's like, at the start of the fight, like when they actually go in there, it's in black and white, but then it switched to color when the fight started. I was like, oh yeah, there's a different version of it. And I was like, Internet rumors. 2003. And I was like, but of course, how the hell am I going to see that? Anyone. So here's a question. So have you guys ever been to any wedding that was as small as what they depicted in this movie? Where it's like, you know, less than 20 people. No. Less than 20 people, that was less than ten people. Yeah. It was 9. In fact, including the organist Samuel L. Jackson, you know. Poor Tommy plumpton. Yeah. So I've never been to a wedding that small. They came through Texas. I played with them. Yeah, he was a barquette. I forget who else he was. I mean, he was a drill. Wasn't that supposed to be joules anyway? It was supposed to be jewels because he was drifting around. And now at the time, they were like, yeah, he was like, he says, Canaan Kung fu, which was David Kerry, who played him in the TV show. There you go. Tarantino's going crazy on him. He's going crazy. He's gone meta. Yeah. It tastes like pumpkin pie, but I never know because I never read a few motherfucker. So any other thoughts you guys have before we close? I love it. Fine, fine flick. I agree. This definitely, it's even more so for me now, like coming back to it..

"I think I didn't give Spider-Man a ten because of one little shitty CGI thing. And here, this movie was like flawless. And I was like, no. I was thinking I was like, what do we say is a ten film? I know we keep saying that. And then I was like, well, I guess for me, it would be Pulp Fiction. But also the first two godfather movies. And jaws. I don't know what else obviously Spider-Man just recently. But what's like to me, it's a good test of going, I haven't seen this movie in a long, long time. It's been actually kind of the same 15 years. You guys convinced me, I give it a ten. I came to peer pressure consensus. Fuck you, Taylor. It's just always fun. But it's like, you know, going back, it's like watching it again. It's like, I'm seeing new stuff that I didn't see before and I was like, I didn't do it even more now than I did before. You appreciate it more. It's like Pulp Fiction though. I can go back and watch Pulp Fiction or guarantee something new in there that I never noticed before. So that's kind of how this was. It's like all those little touches that are in there. Did you have a favorite scene from part one or two? I think there's two standout scenes in both of them. I mean, the 20 plus minute fight scene at the end of part one is awesome. And I love the bit in silhouette where she's fighting with the blue background and it's just so stylistic and she's like, just cutting down all these people and it's like they're laying around and riding on the ground. It's just a whole bit. It's like, I love the cartoonish Looney Tunes like style violence where she like hack somebody with a sword and they spray blood like a sprinkler all over the room. She cuts off somebody's head and it's like a fountain of blood. Yeah. I gotta say, I think my favorite shot or the one I always think of. Well, one is her on the motorcycle with the helmet on. But the one shot I think is so cool is that after she's fighting all the crazy. But there's the weird what the surf music though. 5, 6, 7, 8. And then in the what volume two you've got Daryl Hannah whistling though. Twisted nerve. All of the music goes in there as well with for my memory at least. But the one I really love is the super fast fight scene between her and O ren ishii, but then I think they, it's the water slowly getting filled and then the little wood cloud clacking back and forth that was very just like samurai fighting in snowfall and then you think it's going to be some you're like, oh man, that was an epic fight. This is going to be awesome and then they're like, nope, it's going to be exactly like a western one shot and you're like, wait, who, who's going to fall? That's the great samurai duel. It's so good. And I love that they do that crazy big acoustic mix of, I think it's the animals. Don't let me be misunderstood. Oh yeah. That's a cool track to having that. It's like 7 minute song. Yeah, I love it. And it's like something you wouldn't expect in a snowing Japanese garden for a samurai fight. But that's part of what makes it brilliant. Second movie, I think that whole sequence of her doing the study and under pai Mei is stand up. Kind of same deal. I love the, I believe it's like the 16 millimeter shot, so they use the camera, like the old school..

"Made the most delicious looking trashy margarita. A lot of ice. So much ice cream. Real chunky delicious. And I love the bit where Daryl Hannah is like, she said, she goes, yeah. And she starts crunching the ice. That's a nice little touch there, you know? It's like, because she's hates him too. And so that's kind of her contempt for him. It's crunching that ice that margarita. So you killed her. Yeah, good film. Yeah, if I was ranking it, I would probably put it right there 9 ish. 9 points. Yeah, I want to go, I want to go higher, I feel. I will. Yeah, I mean, it's definitely a 9. Because it isn't one of those, especially if a Tarantino film, I mean, top two for me. It was like Pulp Fiction one, but it just depends on what I'm feeling that day. But also you know it's kind of unfair because it is too awesome films that are supposed to be one. You know, quite frankly, I kind of wish it was a four hour film. I wish it would have been that way. Yeah. I mean, I think for me, I think Pulp Fiction is a ten. And there's just, I don't know why this isn't, it just comes in second, but some of the dialog is, I mean, it makes total sense for this film. But it is kind of hokey and corny at times, but yeah. Can you differentiate it all? What it is that makes Pulp Fiction better than kill Bill? Well, I saw Pulp Fiction first and to me, it blew me away so much that it's just like any film I watch, that's what I hold it to, like that would be my because I didn't see godfather and jaws until at least in their entirety until later on. So anytime I watch a film, I'm like, okay, Pulp Fiction is the criminal creme. Everything else follows that. I don't know what it was. I never seen a movie like that before. Yeah, you definitely had a Samuel L. Jackson poster in your room. That was great. Yeah..

"We see that on the porch. I think the funny part when Steve Martin is like, he's like, oh, I was so nervous. So nervous, you couldn't perform. And he's like, no, so nervous, I couldn't go for the third time. And Steve has hot draws. He's like, what? The thought was really funny, because Steve was like, damn, he did do it. And he even tried to stop them from doing it because he sent those old ladies saying that there was aliens that wanted to have sex with all the women. They were more experienced. The gaggle of old ladies was one of the best like comic relief things I have seen in a movie like from when they're at Dixie's and he's like, you know, ladies, a big nose means. And they're like, oh my God, to then being so horny that they're gonna go have sex with aliens. Like, I loved it. They were so funny because they were so just like true to themselves. They were like, are we sure we want to miss Dallas for this? They're like, yep, let's go. Yeah, do you truly believe there's a bunch of aliens that want to have sex with all the women? I want to find out. Yeah, that was pretty good. I mean, they were funny. And the whole the whole thing is really cute and funny. You know, but it's a very good lesson that just be yourself. I mean, you shouldn't have to hide who you are. And if a person doesn't like you for you, then they're not worth it. Exactly. And I think it's so important. Because Steve Martin says that conversation on the hike, he goes, you know, feelings can change attractiveness. So I do believe that he thought that Daryl Hannah was calling him attractive because he was like, oh, you can see past that and my personality makes me good-looking. To you, which is like the moral of the story is that looks don't matter and you need chemistry and you need and you need something that bonds you and that you have common ground. Yeah, there's actually a couple of scenes where the person that you imagined to be a certain way isn't. Like one of the firemen, he seems like he's like a total idiot and not smart. Chris ends up getting a book for him. And it's like this really advanced reading and he's like, I was embarrassed to go get it myself. Yeah, so then in that scene, Daryl Hannah believes that Chris is buying this very philosophical French book about the outlook of life. And she's admiring him from a distance and she's like, wow, he's like this smart quiet mysterious man. He knows so much and then outside we see that Chris gives it to I think his name's like Fred or something. I don't know Frank maybe. And it's so funny because you're like, oh, and he's like, yeah, I can't even speak French. You see the book sellers speak some friendship. And he's like, Chris is just so dumb. Yeah, like when Steve Martin's talking to his ear, the hat comes off and everything and they have the radio confusion. And then he has to do it for himself. And he's like, he just totally like, you could see what an idiot he truly is. And he's like, your tits. Your pillows. And he's just totally blunt and steep minds like, oh my God. What are you doing? And it was so funny because before that, when the signals get crossed and he starts reporting, the police dispatcher, and he's like, oh, I'm stopping myself from not a crime, a crime of loving you. And I was like so stupid and I was like, how foolish do you have to be to believe that this person's a, not stroking out, or just a complete idiot? Yeah, I think all along she knew, there was no way you couldn't know. I mean, just watching her. And like you said, she's like this genius astronomer. It's going to get a comment coming to earth. And she figures all this up, but she can't figure out that the guy talking to her who doesn't make any sense at all is not writing this beautiful poetry that just melts her hot. It's so funny. And then so she goes away for a week. And this is when I was like, the U.S. Postal Service was never this fast. CD was writing her three letters a day and she got all 20 of them, how, how that does not make sense. Email is not invented yet. But she goes to Chris, she goes, tell me about the letters. He's like, yeah, I wrote like 20, I think. That's not about the like, I don't know. She excused a lot for someone and I thought for as much as Daryl Hannah excuse, they could have cast it a much better looking man. Because Chris was not good-looking. I think that was kind of one of the things. They made him up to be like this really awesome God looking like, man, he was just playing. He was just like, I was like, I'm not judging, listen. I'm just saying, as a guy, I looked at him and went, yeah, that's not that there's like Fabio or someone in the 80s that would have been much better played by that. I mean, he wasn't muscular. He wasn't like outstanding. He's face was kind of long like a horse. I mean, I was like, I was like, what is this? All they're like, oh, he's so dreamy. I'm like, what? I fully agree with that. And then there's like one scene when sandy's like, oh, the Vikings here. I want to put them in bronze. I was like, why? Because he used brutish and you don't want to steal with him. He is not good, but I thought there was one interesting scene when he is at the firehouse. He's speaking to another fireman Chris, and the camera kind of zooms in on them and they're talking about CDs nose and how big it is and how you can't look at it. But the camera keeps zooming in to the point where it's just like kind of a frame of their faces and both of their noses are almost touching and kind of a comedic way because they're as people have what we would consider a big nose versus what they consider to be a big nose because they have CDs comically large one. And I thought that was really funny to portray that. There are surrounded by big noses, but like everyone can only focus on how big this one knows is. Yeah, it was really funny. He does go to a person that can take his nose off, like redo it. But he has like an allergy to anesthesia and he can't have it done. So he's got these pictures of noses and he's putting them up to his face. He's like, yeah, you are the one. I was like, what the? I mean, I guess if you had to deformity and something like would look better on you. You could dream about it. Like he was doing, but it just was so funny, because the guy's like, maybe you have a reason for having this nose. And he's like, what? And I thought it was so funny to because and that scene he's like, fine, let's do it the old fashioned way. And he grabs a bottle, like he's going to get drunk and he's just going to hack off his nose. And I was like, oh, Steve Martin, how desperate you are for love. But actually, I thought it was kind of cool in the beginning. We see him actually drink a glass of wine through his nose because she didn't have a straw and I was like, first of all, if you have elephant tricks like that, why would you ever want to get rid of it? It was kind of funny, too, because later on, when he's talking to Shelley Duvall, he drinks a glass of water, like plot fine, no problem. But he's been telling her he has to drink it through his nose. I was like, what? Maybe he was just trying to impress her because he was like nervous. Also, I thought that scene was incredibly weird. So he saved sterile Hannah, right? And then he brings her back home, and then she's like, oh, do you want to stay for a while? He's like, oh, I've already made myself food. Let's eat, and she's like, oh, I guess I have some wine here, make yourself at home. So I thought it was like, I don't know why they included it, 'cause he doesn't seem to be this presumptuous guy, but I was like, this is kind of bizarre. Yeah, I'd also like to point out that it was like 6 a.m. in the morning. And it's like pounding back wine and cheese. And I'm like, what? What the hell is this? I'm like, I can see if it was like dinner or something, but this is like early in the morning where she locks herself out. So it's not like even past noon, and they're pounding back wines. Listen, not appropriate. Not a pro. And it was just so funny. Also, just like, who is fully naked under a robe, I want to know, because that was insane. I was like, you don't have anything on girl? Come on. And then, okay, if we're going to nitpick this scene because I had a lot of thoughts when I was watching it. Is there walking through the bushes, right? And he's like, I'm not looking, I'm a gentleman. I'm not looking. And then he goes, well, I like to know that you don't have any tattoos. I think that's very Jackie O NASA of you, and I was like, if you're not looking, how do you know that she doesn't have any tattoos? Like, come on, dude. Yeah, well, when they go with the house and he goes, I'm not looking now. Yeah, so he was looking. I mean, he's a guy, and she's a good-looking woman. He can't open it. I mean, I'm not saying I'm not condoning this man. I'm not saying that. And also, I would like to point out to Rick Ross, who plays Chris..

"That was a young Damon waynes that really threw me too. Yeah, his character. He doesn't really do much like this one scene where all the man knocks him out and he's laying on the ground and the guys like he owes me 50 bucks. I thought that was really funny because it's Damien Wayans and you don't picture him like in this movie, but he wasn't smooth and he's part of the cast. And maybe it was him starting out, but he is there. So if you just got to look for him. Yeah, but I thought that the players of fireman like Sue Martin comes into the firehouse and there's like a fire and they're all upstairs. He's like, you know, people, if there's a fire, they're going to want to call us. We can't have them not call us. We've got to learn how to put this out. So I thought, and then seeing their transition to working together, I thought was really nice. So I thought that was uplifting. And it really shows how people respected CD as a captain and as a person. And as a mentor and a leader. Even though he didn't see all those things himself. Yeah, this actually a part where they rescue snowball the cat and all the firemen are hanging from this tree trying to get this cat out and Steve just walks up with a can of cat food and opens it up. Someone comes running down, but let's just show how he really is like someone that thinks things through knows things real fast. He doesn't have to think about what he wants to do. He just does it. And I think that's because he's such a naturally intelligent person and if we wanted to connect it back to time bandits similar to Kevin, he is always searching for knowledge in this. We see it when Dixie is like, oh yeah, I can hardly pull him away from those encyclopedias. Like he's always reading and learning and bettering himself and that's one of the reasons why Roxanne falls from she wants to have that intelligent relationship she wants to have that conversation. But because she is smart herself, she's in school. She's in grad school. She's finding a comet. Yeah, she's extremely intelligent. You know, I was thinking about the whole Shelley Duvall being in the movie. Her Vincent Panzer stock crossed lovers that never can be together. And this is kind of like how Steve Martin views his Roxanne. He wants to be with her, he feels he can never truly be with her. Because and I think, and I think when we see that he feels that he can never be truly with her is when they're hiking up the mountain. And she's like, you know, I have something inappropriate. I like someone. And she lists off all these things in and as he's like, this is me until she's like, Chris. And then the reveal is that it's not him. So I think it's really heartbreaking because then his mind, you can see he kind of like, it shifts in him. He's like, oh wait, even though at the bar with her friend, she's like, you know, people are cute, but they probably only have half a brain. I need intelligence. I need this and she gets that and Steve Martin, and immediately breezes by it for someone hot. And he brings that up in their fight at the end. Yeah, and like when she says, you know, he's good-looking. Steve Martin kind of does a double take in that conversation. He was like, no, they don't think I'm good-looking. And she's like, you know, but he didn't say that to her. He's like, who are you talking about? She's like, oh, Chris, you see his heart break. He's like, oh, like everything she desires was there. And until he said, she said that he was good-looking. And then he knew it wasn't him. It shouldn't have mattered. And at the end, that's what really comes out that it doesn't matter. Of course, it doesn't matter, but then we have this one scene. And I know that Chris starts off talking to her and then Steve Martin ends up talking to her. But she is friends with both of them. And she spends enough time with both of them that she would be able, she's like, why is your voice different? And I was like, okay, bitch, you were a rocket. You were astrophysicist and you can't figure out that this is two different people. And he brings it up too. He's like, you was like, you knew it was me and you wanted it to be him. You wanted someone hot. And she kind of like stops. And she's like, maybe I do. Which is fine. I mean, you don't have to be attracted to someone right away. But I also think she was really dumb in that one scene. Yeah, and in that scene, he really, Steven really spills his guts about how he feels for her. And he just goes off and totally melts her. And she ends up going with Chris and then when Steve Martin realizes just how good he did, what his job that he hooked them up. He feels absolutely terrible. And he's just distraught. And I mean, I think it's so interesting too because we watch, we watch the scene unfold, and then she's like, come up and you actually see, he actually starts to go up in that very acrobatic way that he likes to scale her home. And he starts to go up and then Chris is like, what are you doing, bro? I'm going up. And he's like, but Chris says, and I have so many notes about it. And in that scene, he's like, she's falling for us. We're doing it. He's like, we did this. And it's like, Chris, you did nothing but look good. Like you're an idiot, dude. But I thought it was really funny how he kept combining him and Steve Martin. They were like, he was a full person with him, not on his own. Yeah, and I felt like he needed Steve Martin's to be a core person, whereas Steve Martin doesn't need anybody to be a whole person, but feels he does. Exactly. And then I think when we see sandy and Chris at the bar together, when they're chatting and she's like, wow, you're such a good card dealer, and he's like joking with her and she's like, wow, you're really funny. And I feel like we can see Chris finally relaxing and being himself because that's all he wanted. He says it to see Martin. He goes, you know, I just want like when I'm with the firehouse guys on myself and we see him have that comfort level with sandy. So I think it also shows like maybe the first person maybe what you think you want isn't what you want. And I think that's a theme throughout the story. Yeah, and I think chuck having that first conversation with Chris is like, you have a Maestro, you're the ladies man and you're like, I think it made him really uncomfortable. And then he felt like he had to be that. And then he couldn't be himself. And then when Daryl Hannah kind of likes him, he doesn't know who to be. He's like, you know, I want to be just me and he never gets to be that until the pat when he meets sandy. And I think it's so funny too because he comes to Steve Martin's house and he's so proud. He's like, look at this letter I wrote. Check yes if you want to go out with me and see Martin's like, how long did you work on this? And he was like all day and he was like, what? No, this is bad. This is a bad letter. So I think it shows that he was getting so much rejection before he even started courting, Roxanne, that it never was going to work. And I think that's part of the point. Yeah, and at the end, when she has both lead is written, like the one that's saying goodbye from truly him and then the one that Steve Martin had written that Shelley Duvall threw onto the door and she's like, look at this. Look at this and he's like, oh yeah, you know, and then you see bonds like, yeah, truly. He's like, look how he spelled it. And it's just funny. I thought that was so funny, 'cause I was like, Steve Martin, you petty king. I would point out spelling mistakes to in a letter. He's like, I put in all this work and wrote all these things and you can't even smell truly right. Oh my God, it was so funny. But I thought that fight was really interesting because I think they both brought up really good points about how he was like, okay, but you saw that the signature was vastly different from the handwriting. Like how many things did you have to ignore to make yourself believe what you wanted to believe? Word looks that important to you. Yeah, and he even says it. He's like, you know, it didn't take much to get you in the bed. He was like, it just took a couple of sweet words. And it kind of pisses her off. And then they go outside of the porch and she's like, go, go now, and he's like, no, you go inside and she's like, no, you get off my porch. I am outside. I thought that was so it was such an interesting by. And I think what she's feeling and why she gets so mad is that she probably feels like humiliated. I would have felt humiliated if I was in her situation. Like thinking you're falling in love with one person and then having it be someone else the whole time, like that level of deception, like how could you and then still be my friend? I don't know. Like I can see why she gets mad because it's ultra personal. But at the same time, I would love to have seen the morning after with her and Chris because what did he just sneak out? Did they not talk the next morning? Because he can't even say a coherent thing..

"Yes. Doggy. I am ready. You are ready to go. So tell us all about the now. Why do people need to be watching this show? Well, at first, can I just take a moment just to acknowledge Arkansas and Illinois and Kentucky and Mississippi and Missouri and Tennessee and all those impacted by the tornadoes and I'd love for anyone who's watching. Love to encourage you to make a donation at the W C K dot org it's the world central kitchen dot org and they are on the ground feeding people. Right now. So I have to say that first. Absolutely. It seems trivial to discuss but now when so many people are suffering. But having said that, but now is something that I'm super proud to be a part of. It's a new Roku original series. It already dropped so you can go watch it. It's basically like a dark comedy that examines what exactly makes life worth living. And it's really, really special. Tragic event causes our lead character played by Dave Franco to rethink his outlook. You know, and basically just forcing him to go after something that he loves and cherish and the people he loves that are closest to him. And it's Dave Franco O'Shea Jackson junior Daryl Hannah, which Bill Murray Pete dates. I mean, it's just an incredible, incredible cast. It was directed by Academy Award winner winners Pete fairly and Bobby fairly, so the fairly brothers. Wow. And it's basically just about how hope is possible even during someone's darkest times. Absolutely. And that's a very, very powerful message. And as you said, so the theme of the series is all about living in the moment. How do you personally do that? Are you somebody that puts your phone away for a specific amount of time? Like, what is your now? Yeah, that's a great question. I don't know that I necessarily could answer that a couple of years ago before the pandemic. I think that so much of my life was about going going going and where I had to be next and also I think that there's something about being a child actor that sort of prevents you from even looking at yourself in the present. Because I think you're constantly battling a perception or what you think people think about you. But I really feel like does that make sense to you? Well, let me slow you down through the pandemic. And I started actually I started painting. I started water coloring. Wow. And that is my time for me. It is where I'm most sort of present and aware and make a conscious effort to be more mindful. So what can you tell us about the who's the boss sequel? Because I love that show. Okay, so I'm excited about it. Well, I'm hoping that it actually gets made at this point we're still in development. It's been like two years that we've been in development. We are all a 100% ready, ready to go. We're just looking for a streamer or a network to give us the green light. You are putting it out there. It's going to happen. Everybody. And it's also so nice that the whole cast is willing to come back together. So honestly, thank you so much, Alyssa was wonderful having you come back any time and you guys, the now is streaming for free on the Roku channel. Make sure you check that out. It's such an important message. Be in the now. I say that all the time. Be in the now. Coming up, Portia Williams.

"We're not doing that doesn't true they'd take okay. We can be friends just as a secret like fuck you shane west. But i was the whole both times. I re watched this movie to prep for this episode. I was like oh my gosh. My just watching. Edward cullen right now. The resemblance is simply uncanny true. I see it anyway. So because landon has gotten in trouble for this prank. He has to do a bunch of community service which includes tutoring underprivileged students at a nearby yup. The coating there is Yikes and then. Also he has to participate in the school play which he gets cast as the lead of and i'm just like you know when you're in trouble with the law and your punishment is to be the lead a high school theater production which also sa- like aside from the fact that that is completely absurd and like it just makes no sense on top of that. That sucks for all the theater. Kids who were told in the first scene is like oh. They're really into it like it's not like they're desperate for people to audition for this part. There's a room full of people who want this partner. Like no shane west. You have to do a really bad job as punishment like why does everybody need to suffer through shannon snakes acting because of like he committed a crime he also committed a crime. Didn't you have that Drama teacher who's like castor children as all the stars. I feel like it's not that uncommon for school at the high school theater to be corrupted by those in power i had we had like our our high school drama instructor with like cast football players to like try to get interest leading. Yeah yeah that is like definitely at least in my experience. Something that had jamie. That is what happened in this movie. Right right they're just like. Oh jocks you get to cut the line in every area of life. Apparently well okay. I guess the rest of the muscle just die. I liked it in the play. Mandy moore is wearing a prom dress underneath a trenchcoat. what an interesting reveal. That wasn't a trenchcoat that was like a cult coat that looked like weird ass colty cloak and underneath. It is like a two thousand to prom dress. You're oh gosh. So jamie is also involved in these activities. So she and landon keep running into each other and one day. She gives him a ride home after the school player her soul. She tells him about this to do list that she has But she won't tell him. What number one on the list is then. He wants her to help him run lines for the play and she's like okay. I'll help but you have to promise not to fall in love with me okay. That really sent me back. Because i think that that was the first time i'd ever heard that line in a movie even so many movies. And it's the funniest thing anyone can say to another person because if people have said that in real life how many times the other person actually pin interested in them zero. That's going to be a really funny bit. That i'm going to start doing where friends just like. Hey i haven't seen you in awhile. Do you wanna go get coffee. And i'll be like okay but you have to promise not to fall with. Oh my gosh she says there are parts of. jv's character that i don't like dislike. But they feel a little where she's like made out to be like. Oh she's like a misfit but she acts with such confidence in moments like that were. I'm like this is cool girl shit like what's going on. We're like i feel like the uncalled girl at school. Doesn't say you have to promise to fall in love with me. But i appreciate that she does. She takes the stand for all girls. And i'm sure that at least one person who saw that movie who wasn't cool then said that at school and humiliated themselves so i know that they made a really big effort to avoid like some character tropes specifically glasses. They insisted no glasses. La her sweater. and i just feel like her charisma is like the taking off glasses whenever she whenever she's like a new truly flirty for this bible girl. It's like okay. That's the glasses. Coming off. Ray and i don't dislike that. She is confident in herself. It just like. I guess maybe it was just like oh i wouldn't have expected like the at least cool girl at school to be like fuck you. And then or or like on the day where she they have that erotic temporary tattoo moment that i totally forgot about hot car seen hot true christian version of the titanic where they like. It's temporary it's temporary. He's gonna blow on it but he's not budging when he blows on it. It's hot. it is hot when he was on the temporary tattoo. Okay anyway so she's like don't fall in love with me and he's like you're right. That won't be a problem and then they start running lines together at her house. Her dad by the way does not like this land in fellow. no also isn't it. It's peter coyote to yes who i like sometimes learn who that is and then i promptly forget he's an iconic i feel like he's he has that experience a lot. He's just a famous character actor. He is an e. T. he's in. He's in the wada. Shit he's an erin brockovich. He's in all sorts of shit. And then you see them. You're like oh that guy anyway. Also landen's mom is played by daryl hannah in the worst way i've ever seen in my life by the way you read the wikipedia. You saw the savage commentary on her. Yeah about her. She got lip injections and that whole thing and she wears a wig. They're really focused on her wig. They really well. Because it i saw like a bunch of different explanations for that i like what my takeaway was that they the whig was bad but i guess she's so like famously blonde that they're like i guess. They made a lot of famous blog. Women into brunettes in this movie because brunette equals dramatic. Turn or it did. In two thousand and two brunette equals agency. Vernet equals a little a little more serious. Yeah okay so jamie and landon are hanging out there running lines together..

Great to see Senator, I hope Uh, you think I'm kidding? I'm not stay woke. Uh, He called her senator is what he did, right? Yeah. I mean, if you look at the video, he looks at her, and he's like a senator. I hope and and he looks confused, and it's like, what are you talking about? Of course she's a senator. I don't know what he's He doesn't know what's happening sometimes around him. It's a little scary. It's clear it's clear and they talked about President Trump for four years. The 25th minute President Trump took that cognitive test. And he they? There's 30 questions on it the 30 questions he addressed it last night. As a matter of fact. And he says, I guarantee you that most people could could not answer the last 10 questions. 10 the last 10, he said 15, but definitely the last 10. He answered 30 questions and got all 30 questions correct. Now, do you think Joe Biden could do that? No. Why? Why won't he take the test? Well, that's why, right? You having a good time, Joe. Come on, But I mean, only it's fair is fair. Take the damn test. Well, I mean, it is a legitimate issue that the media is ignoring. We have a leader. Who is, uh, definitely, you know, That's why I call him the imbecile in chief. He's he's definitely impaired. What am I doing here? Got dementia, Civility. Whatever the hell it is caviar, Balkaria Anecdotal, But I talked to a lot of my family. They're Democrats unless he's missing. He's missing a spine to Oh, that, too, But they know that he's going through all this but again. For the million time they say the same thing. Yeah, He's got some issues. There's no question, but at least he's not Trump and the second part is is if you get rid of him because of all of his issues. Then you have Harris. And that could be exponentially. Rush. Oh, it's It's just terrible. But But what? What he called Xavier Becerra is his hobby. Everybody career Hey, Are you kidding me? Caviar bar career? Yeah, right, So he's not, but they ignore it. They the media just completely ignores it. He stumbles he, you know, he get everything wrong or whatever it is he does, And they just ignore me, Joe. So who's in charge? Who is in charge that I'll tell you who's in charge? You have Iran, Clain and this vicious, uh Cedric Richmond and Susan Rice. Barack Obama. Also he's made. He's making a lot of the cold. Yeah. He's he's making a lot of yes, but directly you have in the White House. Probably taking orders, I said says from Barack Obama is Cedric Richmond, Iran Claim and Susan Rice. That's those those his immediate supervisor. Those are the people when he says, I'm going to get in trouble now. Those are the people he's afraid of. Because they're nasty. They are nasty. You think they do to him? What do you think they do to him? They withhold Jello. Uh uh. They don't let him get his little bottle of warm milk. Like what? What happens to him that he says I'm going to get in trouble. Yeah, I mean this and you know, we laughing, Ha ha! And like you said, if they were to invoke the 25th amendment, remember they wanted to invoke the 25th amendment. The mainstream media went crazy after that West point commencement speech as Trump as Trump was carefully coming down that ramp and everyone's like, Oh, my God, There's something wrong with him. This and that. And meanwhile, there's completely silent. Completely silent on Biden. This is not about stuttering or fumbles. The guy clearly has issues and nobody is saying anything. By that time he was walking and he fell up the stairs on air Force 13 times their force one, uh and then the dog, You know, Supposedly he tripped over champ coming out of the shower or something. And much like Vincent Foster. That dog is dead. One of you guys know Tim just passed away. The dog is dead. And if you think it's in, you know Coincidence, said. Joe Biden hurt himself and now the dog is dead. I mean, he was sleeping on the rug. Alright, Hold on. Yeah. Uh, All you have to see a chance you have to do is look at all you have to do is look at older videos of Biden. I mean, he's been in office for 50 years. There's plenty of videos and you can clearly see a totally totally different guy. This this is elder abuse at this point, And if you think this is not sending out a signal to the rest of the world just how weak America is now that's the problem. I watched I watched the movie splash. Coming home from Hawaii Long trip 10 hours I watched saying, And then I watched Splash. So in the movie Tom Hanks run to fish place in the city, and he falls in love with Daryl Hannah. She's a mermaid, but Tom Hanks, brother in the movie is the late great John Candy. And the movie starts and the little kids on a boat and Tom Hanks jumps in the water, and he runs into a little girl who helped me a mermaid. And years later, Daryl Hannah resurfaces in Manhattan and they get together. But they actually met his Children at the very beginning of the movie, But at the very beginning while he jumps over the the boat, John Candy is dropping quarters. He drives quarters. When i mean look are the only thing we also have to put. Our is is a game of django right now like. There's not a lot of choices. But i would rather watch jenga than her her and son put their skinny little legs up in the air and show me a goddamn routine. I was so disgusted. I agree and i do. Love garcia like most women wouldn't have the strength. That garcia has in that when they're now with these ladies like the woman that has been made fun of his gun they don't even have that woman to be a life raft. Garcia is still. Like no i would be like okay. I accept your apology now. I'd have to try to make you all like me now. Now it's just me for myself. Knock ourselves like no. No no like what you did actually was egregious. You're behavioral gar. Sal is a real person. Mike episodes or episode ago where lisa and ghazal talking on the bed. And i can't promise that i won't turn on you in the future and garcia says wide. Can't she not because that's a weird thing for a friend to save to another thread. The her behavior is not in line with reality. So i shall. I love garcia made of teflon. They deserve hazard pay for the interactions that they have to deal with these wild women. Yup eighteen deserve hazard pay and they can't even get their hair and makeup paid for i have to say crystal and oursel- they give us great looks but they don't have to try as hard as eric and dory doritos ed. Eric are coming in with a nana's looks right. But crystal wearing a purse to jinnah. In a tahoe. Ski lodge erica. Jane has like fake sweat pants under her. Like just a whole look. I had reached my limit when she came down looking like a stylish lumberjack. Maybe it was good. I don't know what do you think you're very. We'd like to way to reach dresses. I used to love the way the eric addressed but not as much this season. I liked her outfit. On the pilot or the season premiere which went orange and the denim jumps. You dress but War although i wonder the reef how does she afford it. Because i believe the most successful wealthy people. I know do not just like that. So how does she afford that head to talk every single day. What does she like. I'm genuinely. I've been looking on tag watch because like i've done a photo. Shoot here or there where you tag. And i literally mike. Is she wearing not jacket to check the tags or is she doing a thing. Where like i know. I do not do whatever to know but it is done quite a bit where you can like remove a tag and then you have a machine that someone puts it back on for photo shoots and stuff and like is that what she's up to. Because where is the money coming from. It doesn't does. She have family money. No just does not because you have happy hilton. Who probably has shit loads money. Who's always in like a sweat. Pants and like a comfy t with a saying to reach new kind of like daryl hannah in splash kind of inspired hair and the testimonials and felix amazing. She does her lips. I could take dial down a hair in crystal is just in like a kashmir throw their just they give us looks but they're not trying hard and i appreciate that but i do like the trying hard question about eric. James looks because what you're saying anyway. What you're what you just said is that she looked good in the pilot. And the looks are deteriorating. Now we go back at the time line. Are we seeing mikey's absence. Are we seeing a move out. Are we seeing the chaos. Are we seeing a decline in funds or you just think. I believe that we are going to wash. I mean we saw the trailer. We walked that erica. Who used to be preceded never have a hair place. Suddenly had sort of her extensions her tracks showing so literally and figuratively literally and figuratively. So that's no disrespect to erica to erica. The character and so. I'm i'm going to start saying this now because some of these houses come at me and i'm gonna be like i was took me character actor. Not you your character. I mean how do you pay for a glam squad when you have. I mean the legal. The legal fees their mounting. I i la times every day. And there's a new article about conservators k. Stop bragging stop writing not to flex. But i love to read a periodical but you you and kathy hilton at three. Am reading drinking your red bull gone. And she's like dookie dookie. Look at this story. Iconic kathy hilton is one of the greatest additions to the housewife franchise fulltime. We should bring back kim richards. Hot take three a one hundred percent. I want kathy to get as much money. I bet kathy's just like didn't even look at contracts. I mean kathy didn't know what channel the show is airing on. I read something today in my newspaper of choice. The daily mail my morning here conservative. Hell hole that allows gusting. But guess what. It's an easy read and bullet points at the top and the article itself this is. What's wrong with america. Where like it's easy to read. And even if you deign to read the long article it's only five pairs And you just wonder the full of points they make it as easy as possible. It's spelled they. Don't even check for typos. I just appreciate. They're like get it in get it in. Doesn't that matter but anyway day said this morning news that tom has deteriorated so much with dementia. That he doesn't even understand what's happening around him. Do you think that's true. You know what there's a. There's a conflicting a piece in page six. That i read this morning. Another other paper and tom girardi asking to conservative. Horror ship Because he doesn't like it anymore so she i think that's more true. Think the daily mail might be siding with the lake establishment. And tom girardi of it. All and like i think tom is just fine. Because you think he's as as quick as he ever was. I mean i don't know that we he was. He's an elder. But i'm like just seconds ago. He was quite fine living in pasadena. And you know managing everything. No do. We think. Eric new and she was standing on that deck with garcia. Garcetti said what is tom doing. What's going on.

"They were staying in the family cottage. They got up the investigated and they saw this tube shaped flitting of blue and green lights at the top of the stairs. This caused him immediately to escape in stay elsewhere in the early nineteen eighties. Dan's father he found a bunch of journal articles that were written by dan's grandfather in the early twentieth century that described their families. Alternate lives as it were already and spiritualists. They let seances. People fell into trances at once described. A trumpet had voices coming out of it. As it mysteriously floated on its own around the room. It fell crashing down to the floor when somebody was not part of the the say on circle walked into the room. Accurate would later. Convert that same seance room into his private office. He claimed where his family. They've always done their business in that room. So why not while there. He was reading an article on quantum physics and parapsychology really keyed in on this theory. That would shape some of his beliefs later about the possibility of freezing an apparition using modern technology. Now accurate is somebody who thinks parapsychology has always been unfairly. Unfairly disregarded many people have unexplainable experiences and yet dismissed them as somehow just their imagination. Most people just keep all of that inside only about ten percent. He says reports that they've seen anything like that to somebody else and he mused that more people might actually reach out if there were ads on television or listings in the yellow pages that cokes people to anonymously contact paranormal investigators that were ready to believe them around. This time aykroyd. Who happen to be a fan. Not only of ghosts and parapsychology but he also is a fan of old comedy any amused while he was watching a lot of old comedies. That and comedy have always really gone together. Laurel and hardy did the live ghost bob. Hope did a film called ghost. Breakers abbott and costello did hold that ghost olsen and johnson ghost catchers the bowery boys did spook busters and ghost chasers. The three stooges did the ghost talks and martin and lewis did scared stiff. He mused that he may be. The time was ripe for it. Goes comedy for the nineteen eighty s. Something that would incorporate not only some of the funds slapstick comedy of yesteryear but also more modern thought parapsychology. Quantum theory scientific gadgetry. The work of celebrity ghost hunters like hans. Holzer accurate took all of these ideas and he started writing a ghost hunting. Comedy screenplay in late nineteen eighty-one it was meant to be a vehicle for him and his frequent collaborative comedic partner john belushi the title he put on the screenplay ghost smashers set in the future. Supernatural beasts have emerged on earth after microwave transmissions torn a hole in the fabric of our dimension accurate and belushi were to play these blue collar guys name stance and bank men who work for this inter dimensional franchise that specializes in trapping ghosts. Their inter. dimensional. Employer named shandor has trapped zule. This deadly minion of a powerful demi-god cal goes earlier and stanton bateman are assigned to take on goes irs powerful that have been sent into their dimension to retrieve zoll the final act would depict the ghostbusters entering into goes irs supernatural dimension to battle the demi god as ackward was putting all of this together in march of nineteen eighty two while he was writing line for blue cheese character. Accurate would receive a fateful phone. Call from his agent bernie brielle stain. Brill scene informed. Aykroyd that belushi had just died of a drug overdose. This tron and depressed accurate really found not much joy in continuing to work on this rather grim script that he had meant for his fallen best friend and he pushed it aside at least for now in one thousand nine hundred three accurate started to talk about what he was working on any mentioned his half complete ghost smashers script to his agent brill's dean and he wondered if you know maybe this was still worth completing. He had a lot of really good ideas that he was putting into it. He thought maybe maybe could co star. Somebody else michael keaton. Maybe another saturday night. Live alum likes chevy chase or maybe bill. Murray listing showed a copy of the script to blue cheese former agent. Mike ovitz and ovitz took the idea over to universal pictures to executive. Sean daniel daniel thought you know the natural choice to head on. Was the person that accurate had worked with best in movies blues brothers and trading places director. John landis unfortunately at that time landis was mired in legal issues following tragedy that caused the deaths of several actors doing segment of twilight zone. The movie he was seeking to get away from hollywood for a while. Now at that time ovitz represented the other snl alum. That was discussed bill. Murray he thought you know this could sell pretty easily if were a bill. Murray and dan ackroyd vehicle so he set up a meeting between the comedians and murray expressed interest. He thought you know maybe should take it to ivan reitman. Somebody at worked with before they made two successful movies together. Meatballs and stripes in and right man happened to be another ovitz client so ovitz took it the right man but reitman has he read it. He really didn't like it. He thought you know this was all action. The characters were fighting monsters on every page. This would easily cost. Just forty pages. He read one hundred and fifty million dollars to make. It was an action packed. fantasy extravaganza. There was not much in terms of characterizations are suspense or pacing. A romance and it was also too dark to really be funny and it used a lot of parapsychology lingo that only a physicist might fully comprehend. He pushed aside and pretty quickly forgot about it. Accurate though decided to complete the script after all he added a third ghost smasher named ramsey. This was a role he hoped could be filled by. Trading places co star. Eddie murphy eddie murphy. Though was pretty busy at the time he was doing. Snl and he was going to follow that up with a stand up comedy tour eventually becoming tv. Special called delirious but accurate was not dismayed. He continued to complete the script and in order to help sell the concept. He enlisted the help of a character. Illustrator friend named tom and riga's in rica's drew up. Conceptual art demonstrating the look of various creatures that accurate hat in his script as well as a lot of scientific equipment that was used by the ghost smashers accurate videotape himself wearing a prototype. Go smasher uniform and he was holding a makeshift neutron wand the weapons that these measures would use to capture ghosts. Wants a script was complete. He sent the package again to ivan. Reitman roman took a look at the videotape. And he thought this was intriguing. He gives the script another look. He still found the whole thing exhausting but he liked the concept of a company that was called out to extinguish ghosts like some of firemen. He decided he was going to meet with accurate and he offered some suggestions on how he could make that story much more accessible. First reitman felt that this story should be set the modern day not in the future. It should be in an american city that everybody who is watching this film would recognize new york city preferably and instead of jumping right into the action right away. This should be an origin story. It should show how the company started and the invention of the ghost catching equipment and how the men make their first bust. Audiences would be keyed in all the way from the beginning as to what was going on. Raymond was pretty busy at the time. He had several projects that were cooking including one with herald ramos. It was called big trouble. This was meant to be a potential vehicle for a few comedians including bill murray and john candy and it was gonna be set on an alien planet right suggested getting ramos on board to help right ghost masters and to offer him a starring role to help. Sweeten the deal. The visited ramos's office on the burbank studios lot and reitman began to explain the premise and told ramos that you know maybe he should cannibalize a lot of the concepts. He was putting into big trouble and use them in ghost measures including one about characters becoming dogs and then turning back to human again. Listen for about twenty minutes. Ramos said he was in in may of nineteen eighty-three set up a pitch meeting with columbia pictures. Chair frank price. He pitched it as poltergeist. But with bill. Marion gandak rate as the rescue team. Price agreed to fund twenty five billion dollars. If this film could get into theaters by june of nineteen eighty-four. They needed a big summer. Release and it was also two months prior to the summer olympics. Which would cut into the potential audience. This left only thirteen months to overhaul the entire accurate original script to cast the film and to find an affects house that could deliver hundreds of high-tech optical effects now another hurdle was that murray still not officially committed. He said he was trying to branch out at the time as a serious actor in the pet project that he had been co writing this adaptation of w somerset. Mom's drama the razor's edge. It was stalled. They were having a hard time trying to get somebody to make this film and that left his in doubt for some time aykroyd devised a solution that might benefit all parties. He said that they should contact columbia. And say that if they wanted. Murray for ghost masters they'd have to fund the razor's edge. I saw columbia had a producer attached to the razor's edge within an hour of frank. Price hearing murray's ultimatum. Now murray was off on the other side of the world making razor's edge ramos and right men visited the basement of accolades. Martha's vineyard home to hammer out a new script. Accurate was very optimistic about working with ramos. Work with right before toronto. Tv game show called. Greed and ramos also had a surprising knowledge about psychics about the history of the medium medium's ancient myths and quantum physics. I they decided they were gonna title this to ghostbusters ghostbusters. Just had a more comedic ring to it. Not that the comedy would work better if the character would control their own fate instead of just do whatever they do just for a paycheck heroes went from blue collar latkes to scientists and that was meant to explain their ability to create these sophisticated hardware inventions. Right men pushed the idea. Further by having the characters become university. Parapsychology professors professors. Who were forced out of jobs. And the started their own practice and design their high tech tools to prove their theories on the job while exterminating ghosts in a new york that has suddenly become overrun by ghost activity. Now an accurate original script. There really was very little distinction between stance and bank men in ramsey ramos bought. This was all wrong. He felt that even the smallest character in ghostbusters should have a distinct personality and something to contribute to the overall plot or the comedy so ramos rewrote banks. Dialogue specifically for bill murray. He had a knack for that having experienced scripting him before and he added another ghostbuster character that he could play ramos. Took the name. Egon from former classmate. Who was a hungarian refugee and spangler after german philosopher. Oswald spengler he modeled egan's appearance after somebody that he saw on the cover of an architectural magazine. The character of ramsey was rewritten as winston zanu. More an ex military demolitions expert that was hired to be the ghostbusters headquarters security guard. Winston would be there as a non scientist and he could act as an audience surrogate for the ghostbusters to explain their concepts. And all of their hightech hardware to the murray's character peter bank and he became the pitch man of the group the mouth accolades ray stance. He would be the enthusiastic engineer. The heart or the hands and ramos's egon spangler would be the stoic data driven nerd the brain. There were more character touches involving ghosts in their life and the containment system. But raymond decided he didn't want any elements that portrayed ghosts sympathetically. He wanted them eliminated. Because those things took away from the comedy he also nixed accolades intended ending where the men would fight solo in different dimensions because he thought the comedic chemistry work much better when these men were together as for the first bust made by the ghostbusters they decided to centered around one of accolades. Various apparitions called onion head. The onion head goes deep was later renamed by the real ghostbusters cartoon but at that time it was called onion head and he was called that because this goes was meant to have a disgusting stench about him. How many of its scatalogical qualities was cut from the film due to pacing issues now all of goes irs minions that aykroyd concocted the state puffed marshmallow man a giant mascot come to life was one that showed the most comedic possibilities so its appearance was pushed to the climactic ending. It used to be kind of in the middle of ackward story. It was going to be a surrogate for the main. Daddy goes or goes. There was a name that accurate took from a real life account of a haunting in england and they went back and forth to how goes or should look when she looks like the devil. Maybe it should be evil. Shandor who is rewritten to be kind of a cult leader for the purpose of their new story. Chander would be portrayed as kind of comical guy in a suit somewhat like peewee herman they surmised or maybe he should be mr steep left himself. Raymond pushed for goes to have a much more in drowsiness. Look it could be pretty much any. Look that he or she wanted so after grace jones and and carlisle could not commit to playing goes on short notice secured. The services of yugoslavian actor slits giovane now ramos also felt that the story really should have a love interest so they created a character dana barrett. They put the their first revision in that first ramos. Accurate script details would be revealed to be a inter dimensional extraterrestrial now realizing that this angle really. It was meant more for laughs than romance. They still needed aroma so they later changed dana to a human client altogether and she would be living in a building that becomes the source for the dramatic uptick in ghosts in new york. They also developed a comical neighbor. Indiana's building in louis telly. Who would get possessed. And then dana would be put into mortal jeopardy because bank men would end up falling for dina that would give the ghostbusters additional incentive to prevail when she turns into a victim now. Many actresses did audition to play dana barrett. Denise crosby daryl hannah julia roberts among others sigourney weaver's agent got her an audition but raymond thought maybe she was just too serious but that was kind of the point of her auditioning. She hoped that shedding her ice queen image would increase her appeal to do other kinds of movies. She'd performed dini comedy before she didn't quite a bit off broadway and she would in her audition win reitman over altogether she spontaneously pretended to be possessed. Like a dog in her audition. She got on all fours. She started howling. She started gnawing on the furniture cushions in his office. Raymond was pretty much sold. After that and her dignified intelligence had ramos in ripened reconsidering the character of dana barrett altogether s. Somebody who would be much stronger instead of fashion model. They let weaver choose her to be a musician. Investments should treat dana as if dana was out of his league and he needed to prove himself worthy of her attention. Her audition performance also had them changed the script so that dina would be possessed like louis and they would become terror..

"It's like that question is a waste of time because, you know You get to treat the media like they're they're dominatrix. You know, the Democrats just beat him up and they take it and enjoy it. But she said normally, people have to make good money for that I was gonna say, Do you know how many cards do you believe you only VPN services? I had to buy to encrypt my search history to get that sort of thing. Nancy, come on. Crazy. I agree. If you just joining us Kennedy's on the line, we're sticking it to the woman. Hey, everybody, but it is. It's stupid. I mean, she even said, Like If one of our members was threatening other members, we'd want to hold them accountable. And I could give you 100 instances and I don't want to. But like, even like Maxine Waters, like getting their face go out. Make him not comfortable like we have seen it on the other side. That's why I'm gonna force you to talk to Super Bowl with me for a minute here. And if if we cycled circle back to politics, That's fine. This this this vehicle when you and I are on the air together, clearly doesn't have a reliable GPS that's been established. Um, uh, weigh in on this. What is your What is your favorite? Do you have a favorite Super Bowl moment? Favorite Super Bowl era mind was the Super Bowl shuffle, But I want to know what yours might be. Oh, yeah, that's great. Because even if he didn't like Chicago, you could sing along and you could hate the team and love the team all at the same time. It was sort of like the building here. Detroit pistons. Yeah, that was a greater but I have to say my step. Dad is the biggest 40 Niners fan. I know. And when the 40 Niners were winning all the championships when I was in high school, it was fantastic and my step Dad was always in a great mood and then my best friend and his best friend. We all four at my mom's house would get together and watch the Super Bowl together. We had so much fun because my my best friend, her dad is the football coach, So she knew the game really well, and we just had such a solid time. That's why I was so much fun. For me to take my stepped up to the Super Bowl last year, and we have the weekend of our lives. It was phenomenal. Good for you. I mean, no, that was amazing. And when the Super Bowl starts being fun in your life like when you get when you get the Super Bowl, it's amazing. So for me, it was in that era like 83 80 45 like Marcus Allen when I was in first grade when a Super Bowl born yet stop it, But But what was funny for me is like looking back to that era of Super Bowls. When I was a little kid, I didn't know my family gambled, you understand? So I grew up in a house of like jets and Giants fans. And I never understood why. When the Raiders were playing the Redskins that the Raiders would score a touchdown, and three members of my family would literally throw glasses and shatter them. Someone would kick the TV like Wait. I thought you're a giant, but I thought you were a Jeffrey. Why you got so angry right now and I no idea. It's funny. I never figured out why all this sudden, but with which to an accent? Oh, she no. Here. All of a sudden, Your dad is driving you to school with a nose and glasses on. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, I'm driving me to school in 11. It's even better in a rental car because he had to sell the real one. It's not pretty man. I get it. It's a rental. Anyone could drive it. Anyone could drive it in the lock. It's like, Oh, good. I grew up. So I grew up in that era. I loved. I loved that early eighties because actually, the Super Bowl really hit pop culture, you know, because the bears the Super shuffle was huge. Remember, the Patriots had us so they had a counter song that everyone kind of laughed at, because it was bad. That dumb? I don't even remember remember, because it's stupid Patriots. They're stupid, and Tom Brady's dumb white. He's dumb, and she's gonna do the Nazi good stuff. If he wouldn't get out the dump button. It's time to talk. Tom Brady. I love that you pick on Giselle. And you wanna know something? Shame on anyone defending Giselle When we make fun of her, she's a supermodel. She makes like $30 million a day. These are jokes. She's gonna be just fine. You can relax. Yeah, it drives me crazy. So suffice to say, because you know a lot of listeners. Lot of viewers of your show expect us to play some type of wager on the game. Eyes. Um I to believe that you wanna bet the Chiefs Yeah. I wanna bet the chief I want. I want you. I want to make you bet, Tom breaking. I actually like I'm not kidding, And I know you're not going to enjoy this. I actually think they have a great chance of winning the game. I like them to win the game because he knows how to win Super Bowls and just ask Lana and Seattle and everyone else. He'll come back when you'll find a way. I think they're past Russia's really good, so I would take Brady. My question is, Are we betting another Del Frisco's state dinner? Because I don't honestly like Of course I love to do that. But I don't know if we can top the last one. That was amazing. The only way we can pop it is if it's not four degrees outside, it is true. That is true because at one point they interrupted our meal because the crew from ice road truckers was filming a segment and we had to get out of the way. So it was too cold for their equipment. But against that, we're not getting a feed here. But I would, but I would love you and everyone needs to know this about you because you're just you're the best and we have such a good time and we drink and we eat everything. And you eventually, at some point, we'll get enough like port wine in you that you're now looking at me, but you're eating like the mermaid and splash. And it's my favorite thing in the world to Daryl Hannah and, uh and I'm not even eating loved, not even Tomahawk chop. It's not even lobster into the Tomahawk chop. It's whatever the most expensive thing on the menu. Yes, it's throwing it everywhere. You're anointing People Temple. You canceled her mere suggestions at that point. It's so funny. So we're going. We're going Chiefs of verses the box. I'm getting the bucks. Are you giving me the 3.5? We're supposed to just bet the game. Isn't that the right thing to do? Yeah, that was straight up. There is there is no point. There's no point there's there's steak, but we got it. We got to make a bigger like we gotta get a really expensive bottle of wine or champagne thrown in there, by the worst means at least you like the bet. I'm into it, man. I think I think it's a good idea. I don't know, though. Honestly, I don't think we go to the same place. I don't know that they would let us back in. Could we get back in there? I have not had my old assistant petty call because I'm terrified that they're gonna come after him. And me. Any family s O like we'd be, we'd we'd have an easier time getting into Del Frisco's in the true Baka al, But the guy stormed the capital in then we would walking in his ourselves at this point. No. I could beat you back to Mom. And you could be Chewbacca Capital. Guys. That's fun. What's so insane? All right, so we go box. I go bucks. Plus 3.5 you go Chiefs minus three. No, no. Excuse me. I know. I know from my listeners. I am betting they need to know about in the box. You're right. But on the game, we are betting the game. You give me no points. I'm gonna be honest with you. I'm not. I'm not gonna fight you for the point because we're betting a state dinner, but I would never. I'm not advising anybody at home to give the points away, because even if you like the Buccaneers, and you're bucking your family or Brady fan, you're rooting with your heart. Tom Brady doesn't care about you. So there's no world where anyone should feel bad. If the Buccaneers lose the Super Bowl by two and you get to cover the spread and consider it a win, right? No, absolutely not. He doesn't care about you. He's annoyed by you actually look down on you. He is not continuing to play for you. He's doing it to get out of the out. Can't stand his wife. I'm gonna jump in now because she's circling back to Giselle if you were warned Um, happy. Super dumb. Yeah. Happy Super Bowl that you and your fancy hair. Uh, I will check in over the weekend, and I look forward to this. No, Marianne that it still looks great. And it's because of her good witches and warm box that my hair still looks. I'm having another great hair day because I'm very.
