"I would guess i wasn't going to be a title favourite portland because we have to deal with the lakers. Okay powerhouses the celtics. Pows like that. But i want cash and wins but i would rather sacrifice the cash to keep the win peasant. How much cash. I would sacrifice online at not well. I'm not going to sacrifice half fifty. I'm not gonna sacrifice half the deal. No you're going to have to make it close. But yeah i would i would. I would do what it takes to stay on a team. That has a chance to win it so hard. It is to win. The million dollar man used to say who the million dollar man the wrestler. Oh yeah well. Everybody's got a price and that's why couldn't stand people that would leave. Do you remember sean gilbert. I think you were here taco. Yeah yes he was. He was the errand donald. I guess back then in the nineties and from pitt same school as aaron donald and he was the guy that mentored me into the nfl. So i went right from college. I'm still raw. Boola boola and i met show gilbert so he kind of mentored me then. We left went to saint louis and i remember we were on a bus leaving practice going back to the facility in city about fifteen minute drive. Everything in saint louis is a fifteen minute drive and he told me on the bus that he was getting ready to leave like. I'm leaving this team and going to washington. And i was so i never. I haven't spoke to him since. I was so disgusted by that. How can you leave us. We have a chance to be great. We have a chance to win and it was all about business and money was so. What's the basis now back then. Thirty years ago he wound up making forty eight million. Forty six million. This is nine hundred ninety. Five dollars for a defensive tackle. That's big dough. Absolutely no doubt but i'm saying i was supposed to be other players pockets last night me. We had a chance to be a dominant defensive line about the steel curtain. If i had a team that says i got a chance to make way more money. Something i said. Go ahead take yourself and your family. I wouldn't be mad if it i first. What's the team going to do for you here. What's the team offer. So if the team said if he told me the team is going to offer them twenty five million and you know you're close to that number but some team is about to break the bank and pay you way more than you're worth and you take that then an with washington did not him no Carolina them but he wants to the pro bowl that year. Yeah absolutely absolutely. So what's good here. There's nobody better to talk to you about this two things when i watched my football game to raspy exactly the. I'm sorry. i told my family that i was going to do a show with you and they went nuts. 'cause they're laker fans really yeah. I mean they're listening right now. But what does he look like now exactly the way he did as a player. Anyway go ahead except louis hair. Yeah go ahead. Look at grady. From the sanford sanford and son. Oh y'all agree but here's the thing that bothers me when i watched the rams play and when i watch lyman play 'cause i always like to watch the trenches. I always pay attention to that stuff. You're a big yeah. Ever since larry's larry allen was in the league who dominate at the line. Did anybody ever scare you in your career. Yeah oh yeah i was. I'm not man enough to say. Does darryl dawkins okay fair. Big monsters just didn't what. I've never heard any man pads until i lined up on larry allen why he was massive he was strong and we had played in an all star game together and he was just like he was nasty as a person not mean just gross like he would spit tobacco spit in his car seat. Just nasty type dude. But he was also nasty as a player and strong as i heard..

The greek freak averaged over thirty five points per game in the finals. That was the third most in a players first finals appearance in nba history that led him to winning finals. Mvp he's just the third player ever to win mvp finals mvp in defensive player of the year in his career joining michael jordan mckee malaysiua nba champion kendrick perkins kind enough to join us now. Been perk good to see you as always sir get you on the screen in just a second to you in a second perk stephanie. Is this the best clothes out. Performance and finals history. It's right there it's hard for me to You know To to clips jordan's forty five Because it was a game winning shot it was pressure it was on the road against a lotta utah. Jazz team and michael jordan delivered the goods I got you know. I got one of my boys. A champ based out of detroit You know i'm about the block him for the entire summer because he does all these. One of those guys is important to mention his name. 'cause he starved for attention when it comes to the sport or basketball kendrick perkins max kellerman. molly His name is champions based of troika. It's so important for him to to to to get recognition he's just starving for it That that texas more than my daughters when it comes to the water basketball just an annoying. Ask person giving rid of some say i. I love him what he'd get on my nerves. You know hi max level of expertise but but but as is just ridiculous. He's the same guy that had might. He said that he wouldn't even have lebron james in the top ten so his credibility out of the winter guard tender is ridiculous but at the end of the day michael jordan being on the road Obviously that's a very very big deal Dropping forty five crossover game. Winning shot epic memorable the whole bit but jaanus was just so dominant last night. I don't think any of us in a position a look at an nba finals. Close out game and say oh. This performance was better with that. Performance was better. it might have been aesthetically better. When you look at jordan crossover in the polls that we still hold onto more than twenty years later. You know stuff like that magic johnson. You know filling in for kareem abdul jabbar clean center against caldwell jones and darryl dawkins chocolate thunder people like that in the early eighties. We get all of that but janas last night. I was so unstoppable and to see him. Jewish shred all the critics all cynicism. You know the vitriol that was being thrown in his direction where people anticipated that he was going to miss his free throws if he had just made shots from the field than that would be one thing but to do it by hitting seventeen of nineteen free throws when guy just just struggles to hit free throws so flagrantly. So here's the deal. It makes you say four. I make my kid play the above. It question you got me in the very first segment. Because when asked if he is the best player in the i said janas can't be just dismissed from the conversation. Push come to shove. I put him third but the title was disputed. Now are you turning around and doing the same thing here or are you saying yes. This is the best performance in a closeout game. Is it jumped in the conversation or is it. Where do you rank said to. You can't put anything above georgia's forty five okay. So it's not say that does that say okay so. It's not the best i agree. It's not the best. It is not the best. I feel the same way about this. Is i feel about janas status in the league. I don't put it as number one but it's in the conversation. Let me tell you the ones that are better. You identified a couple magic johnson as a rookie. He was nineteen when he entered the league. That year jumped at center and gave you forty two fifteen and seven in the finals. That i can't put this above that i just can't do it. Especially context matters. Everyone got hurt like the bucks. Were not going to be in the finals. If brooklyn nets weren't hurt getting smoked they would have lost in three. If the nets were healthy it wouldn't even got to a four. Th game losing by twenty something points a game and they weren't they didn't even have kyrie and harden it was just one or the other of them come on so so context matters. You bring up jordan's game. I don't have to go up to go over that again. let me give you one. That's actually number one number. One is clyde frazier. I didn't see it's even a maybe you did. I wouldn't born yet. Clyde frazier in the sixty nine seventy season it was so as nineteen. Seventy finals went up. Because it's you say stephen. A context matters..

A second arrest is made after last weekend's shooting at a birthday party in New Jersey, New Jersey state police say Darryl Dawkins of Bridgeton has been arrested and charged with unlawfully possessing a gun. However, police do not believe right now that he fired any shots at the party. State Police also announced afeard death in the incident. Braille in homes of Millville City, died in a hospital Tuesday night. A motive has not been released from the shooting that police say sent more than 100. People at the party running for cover. Police continue to ask for photos, video or eyewitness accounts of what led up to the deadly shootings. Using wind and sea to generate power on land. That's the idea behind an agreement that's been signed by Governor Newsome and the federal government. The agreement means floating offshore wind platforms located 20 to 30 miles off the California coast that could provide clean power for up to 1.6 million homes over the next decade. The U. S Department of the Interior will offer a lease sale as early as next year within 400 Square mile area off the central coast northwest of Moral Bay and said For area off the northern California coast. Newsome says the offshore wind industry has the potential to create tens of thousands of good paying jobs and UN Beale leave a ble new video has gone viral. It shows a couple of bees working together to open a bottle of soda. Hop atop again. The moment was captured last week on a bottle of Orange Fanta in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It shows too, honey bees working in unison to lift the cap off the bottle. Industrious bees eventually succeed much to the delight of the woman taking the video has people buzzing on social media, with many agreeing that the bees air taking over I'm Michel Kastner. Bees apparently, are the new overlords. People say You know what? I'll take him. You could see that video one right now. Who cares? I'm good to see that video on our morning news page at coco dot com. Alright, coming up with six this evening. It is right now with Lou featuring a look at the day's top stories and you've got something interesting for us this morning, Lou. Good morning, 10. Madonna. Here's my question. If the bees are on the other side of the top of the fancy cap, How did they know that they're working with another be maybe the beat. Maybe just thought. Wow, I'm really strong. I mean, what do they do this myself? They may not even have been aware they're working together. Oh, please. There are new overlords. Lou. Just deal with their taking over alright, well, CDC guidelines back in the news, half of US adults. Now fully vaccinated as you reported, but that number drops down to just 39%. When you add in all the people under the age of 18 Aziz, you now are aware that Fizer as an authorized 12 to 15 year olds. To get the vaccination. But Donna said today that they are now seeking approval to add another option so teen should have widespread availability before school starts this fall. I know we're just heading in It's a Memorial Day weekend. But a lot of parents are concerned about what's gonna happen when all the summer fun is over. What's this school? You're gonna look like already? 14% of the nation's kids. 12 to 15 years old have received their first shot that, according to the AP, and those numbers are mirrored here in San Diego. But what's next? Because the CDC guidelines as if we understand the correctly is four fully vaccinated people there is no vaccine available for anybody under the age of 12. Currently, that would mean everyone from kindergarten through sixth grade would not have the option to be vaccinated, so couldn't be fully vaccinated. So for parents of kindergartners through sixth graders, they'd be right back where they started. Come form well, according to NPR, Madonna and adviser are doing trials right now on Children between the ages of two and nine. They say that those trials take a little bit longer because they are Children, but they would be A available at least to look at approval by the end of the year. So that's looking like Christmas. The CDC could change a lot of this. They could relax mask mandates for 5 to 11 year olds. As the school year started mass mandates on Lee were, in fact, in place in California for third graders and above so they could extend that all the way to fifth grade that would clear Lot of opportunity for parents who don't want their kids in masks going to the full or they could grant Oh emergency approval for the vaccine for kindergarten through fifth grade. But what will happen if the parents don't go along? The Kaiser Family Foundation recently put out a survey saying 60% of parents saying, No, they don't want to have their kids vaccinated. They want to wait and see. Also, there is the question of mandating the vaccination for the Children, which is a whole nother megillah. So it looks like we're gonna be wrestling with this vaccination question for kidney gardeners through fifth grade here in San Diego through the summer, General Donna All right, Lou Penrose tonight at six. Right here on news Radio. 600 Kogo, everyone. All right, Thanks. Lou will be right back. Okay? A new sign 5 17..

Me. How does a Nance flip the script on me? I said he turned What? When I said he's never I've never seen a guy like tie. "Those early days if anybody did by the name. Harvey catching in colorado jones. Who always talk to me about being a professional and what it takes to be a professional and then we'll free and i live together. We were brothers. We still brothers. We had joe bryant there with us and doug collins and we all were young guys on the team so we all kind of talked in hung together. You wasn't real concerned about getting bars at that time and wouldn't know a whole lot of nintendo around. It was just like that little stupid. Tina's game where you slack the block up and down Remember that one. That was wasn't so stupid deon but it is also dr j. there. What was your first impression of him when you sign when dr j. came in with us dr j. came in as a class guy i mean he always had family with him and i got to know his kids. Real good memory birthdays and they'd bring me stuff for my birthday. He was a guy who would always tell you. Know what it takes to be a pro and we'd see him practice and after practice here around the try and we see. That was funny. So i got some federal. We just busting by the button practice. What do you want for. I gotta get better shape so he was always class and always a professional. When did the personality side of darryl dawkins the basketball player developed in. Why did it develop always at a personnel ever since high school. I had Low tron visualize in my mind. Everybody say oh man. You can't go right in their stuff. So i kinda put on the back side. But what i got to philadelphia and found myself on a team with jump into jelly bean bryant. We'll be free. dr. J. george mcginnis college hickory. I said let somebody know. I'm down here on the vince. I got in the game. I gotta dog a monster dunkin. And i call your mama and after that i got to get away and back. Bliss william gang the group your biscuit moving turbos sex funding delight in hispanic chiller supreme. I started having a good time. But i always enjoyed entertaining people and making them laugh. One of the things. I know about professional. Sports is that athletes don't like to be shown up a certainly we see that in baseball. And i'm sure the same can be said in basketball as well. So how were you accepted in those early days when all of a sudden here comes this. This darryl dawkins guy that's doing an in your face be honest. Young good looking black man with a pocket full of money in the parking lot look alike a boat Always enjoy dressing wearing suits and stuff and now talking trash. And i'm built like a football play basketball solo. Some of the guys kinda was they resented me. It was like skiing coming in making all this money and not making money but as time went on they started to say. Hey that's just his personality. May he's cool. 'cause we would bump and bang with guys bob lanier. They've countless need thurman on sale we bumped invade with them guys and people think we don't like each other and after the game they'll see us go out there for being a bergen. It'd be like man. We thought you guys you like it. That's our job and that's what we do. What was his style of play back then. I remember watching nba basketball and it looked like to me. It was very Stodgy i guess is the best word i can think of. I mean how a lot more team oriented that time you know and and at a point you just didn't care who scored as long as you want. You know those you've got a chance to play. I mean Boss was great just team players and us icago and we played with team plans. But i we may have had on the team. All according to what a lot of people talk but We all get along pretty well together. Yeah one of the things that i know that in when somebody goes out and says something they always talk about the articles that can be put on the opposition's bulletin board. I mean when you said some of the things you said. What was the reaction from your teammates. And also what about coaches who don't like their their players to be kinda show off you know anytime. I was playing. Yes but during the time i was playing it was just saying. Oh you got a big mouth meant. He's always talking transient. I was wondering first. Original trash talkers but my teammates had gotten used to be talking from practice and for riding the buses and planes. I always talked trash. But now you got the young guy. Company talking trash and dunkin. Oh who've been around five or six years. They didn't particularly care for it. But they started to say you crazy man off the hook so and just accepted me as that trying to censor you and if so how did they always tried to tell me what to say and what not to say. See where to go where not to go. I mean the sixers at times to tell me that any got any. And i was saying louis ain't going over there to get drugs those i'm gonna give me a girl and come back. It can't tell me what what they're doing there and only went so i mean the referees. I curse them out sometime in and they they getting back at me was called him files on me never committed. What's the big man's mentality a big man mentality It depends on your coats jeans. Should we was a big man. Mentality is to run back. You gotta think runback blocked shots. Is somebody get beat. You gotta go ahead from. That's gotta be. I mean talent. Then i got to new jersey and stand up beck was a big man mentality. It's gotta be score. And he put a rule in anytime. Beat the guys down the run. The guys down the filler. Give me the ball and tell you the big man as always to help. I gotta blocked shots. I gotta rebound but not many think. Hey i gotta score. "Sure going ahead are you doing to my my brother from above I am always great Keith what's on your mind well you've been talking about straight from high school to the pros and I got in a little late so I'm not sure you said his name but I grew up in the sixties and seventies and never man named chocolate thunder Darryl Dawkins who came out of high school and toward the NBA up at his position at that time was pretty much like a small shack yes god bless god bless the what what was the the shaken thunder rattling you know when it a minute his son will make in baby rain Makin backboard breaking from planet Voltron love Sean chocolate thunder absolutely yeah Nagy port Rick and he broke the backboard but on the other topic I thank god will hold on keep hold on Keith I appreciate your call and not you know and this is something that a lot of people want to call and tell me about Moses Malone but I wanted to fast forward through an era where it was it's been if you had a stretch okay we can talk about Darryl Dawkins we could talk about Moses Malone that was in the seventies you know we don't have anybody coming out in the eighties it wasn't until ninety five one cagey was selected that the floodgates pretty much opened up and it was acceptable so that was the only that was the only cabbie out in what I said I was talking about not the pros but guys who went straight from high school into the N. B. A. and in N. out hours operation if you're talking about chocolate thunder but I I think there was a whole bunch of guys who are better than chocolate thunder well yes but I I totally agree with everything you say I just had to get his name in there because of his name but also photos of the point the best part of Michael Jordan the broad you know I used to listen to people debate about it but I felt a bit like this when you have people like magic Larry and even player nowadays tell you M. Jerry is the go what what more recognition your name I mean the greatest of all time or call him the greatest of all time so well I think that's a matter of listen I like MJ over lebron James that's me personally I can sit here for an hour and talk about it I'm not it's it's not something I can do and I have done it I'm not going to do it towards the end of the show maybe we save that for tomorrow again but you know what it's a matter of generation because for what you just said we're gonna have a generation of players who have watched lebron James and they will also be great players and they will say lebron is the greatest so I if I cannot go to never quit you had a caller talk about the Dream Team and everybody that was on the Dream Team which are you diminish your challenges Michael it was over that term came out and everybody knew what was gonna happen and I did it is that time for infinite I think you can do that today I think you're gonna dig it twenty thirty forty years ago I think he would be able to and and I don't know if you guys are aware of this the interview that coach Williams did nobody knows how much of an athlete he was four three eight all my that yeah Keating you don't listen keep you all got it you don't got to convince me I I'm I'm G. all the way I appreciate your call up from some sake are you be blessed you as well thank you Keith from Tucson Arizona let's go to north Carolina okay let's talk to Rodney Rodney your CBS sports radio's the general support re shows on your mind J. R. during the show everything thank you I would I would just talk about I would think about my patch of coming out of high school I heard Jermaine o'neal he learned J. G. era cold you're not hurt where on earth Martin goal I am a fifty three year old murder mystery Jordan every day we brought our lebron every gamer bro are they gonna before a look won't be I'm biased towards that because I played a little ball and apart from original I'm confident with the ball but I'm a big part of his daily air Jordan we might win but I might not be part of the game Walmart but when people compare it to football so great you hear it all the mayor would use it there's a preference all right I like I like the ball better are considered him a goal because I look at his whole all the feel of maritime academy burger and I'm not become part of the Maryland area I just don't go with the ball but I do care UK although we we with Jordan's Hussein Jordan at the great out I'm not really the ultimate because it is really not all we need is just basically who you prefer okay the third ball so right and as far as their quarterback situation I think I think they're gonna go overall a little portion all he'll come in here and because of his prior history with I think you don't have to get in the weight room to get some more Scrivener it will all battle in America I think hope it might get more opportunity all our power our start all sixteen through March it was your first thought also they don't the dollar you got there the pilot for Star also you've got to get my shot a little bit a little bit of rough stuff you're gonna learn and then on the field so okay it might be hope in America okay we lost your mind will be real cautious will only happen to be rowdy in appreciate your call not from North Carolina no doubt about that Ronnie dropping the gems and you know that that's that's also another reason and thank you for bringing it up right knee when you think about what lebron is done in his career where he was drafted the expectations that he's had in him you don't hear a damn peep about lebron in in in this nothing negative what are you going to say okay he made a decision that's the that's the biggest misstep that lebron has had in his career I think it's amazing the career that he sat and kudos to him and his family I know it has not it has not been easy when you want to go ahead and look at the rumor mill and there's a whole bunch of things but I mean if you want to be an athlete have a hell of a career that lebron has been an anomaly he's amazing let's talk to Brandon colon up from Anderson South Carolina Brandon your CBS sports radio so general support be sure go ahead Hey man are you doing tonight I'm so we'll think what do you think about man I had a quick quick little comment well I was listening to show last night a bunch of people calling in about cam Newton and where they thought he might land and I was just gonna throw a little team out there and see what you tell Sean this this division has got a lot IPV this offseason at the what if he's if he's really mad at Carolina or to go to Atlanta and take it takes a little year United behind Matt Ryan it kind of takes over for the falcons Ryan yeah I don't I don't see that as something that's that's unnecessary from the the falcons standpoint I can understand trust me there's a lot of people from Georgia there's a lot of people in Atlanta who want to bring him home we went to Westlake high school in Atlanta you know but you paying Matt Ryan this money you have a coach Dan Quinn who is basically was playing for his job or his is the year to plan for job or coaching for his job last year along with Dimitroff and I don't think they're going to take a risk why are they gonna rock the boat and bring in a cam why would Kim want to sit behind Ryan four year I just don't see that as something that the falcons would want to do I think that's a little bit too much boat rocking when they want to have some stability and then try to win some games and continue what they were doing towards the end of last year it's going to be tough enough forty playing in a division with the saints and then also the Buccaneers no need to rock the boat I was there to say and there is a slowdown it is sure that we find I was just thinking you know maybe if he became a phase in the division is already played those things several times I don't have a whole lot of cap space and all that so well I mean even the backup job it was the only game for you yeah but sure I mean but even when you when you when you count that in and thank you for calling up Brandon I I told you eight you don't want to rock the boat and then you know why you gonna bring him in as a back up on the mat Ryan he doesn't have a long injury history is cam Newton so I don't I mean that's just that's just one big six foot five monstrosity of a distraction there in cam Newton that's an unnecessary distraction if you someone like Dan Quinn you wanna just win games sent out all your first round draft picks that that our our offense of stars and hope that they're healthy enough to go to work I think that's what it boils down to camp in Atlanta would be amazing I just don't see it happen unless there's some super disaster but you know what it's time for me to get ready to roll out I'm rolling out some of the most interesting stories in sports to me some of the biggest sports stories of the day it's time for the rollout with G. R. sport brief a couple of things that you need to know before I get out of here okay listen I know won't quarantine.

"One eighteen we talked a lot about carrier oil for fifty four point now we didn't miss a shot tonight he's already the next all time leader in field goal percentage passing Darryl Dawkins idiot was five for five year twelve points is that a good week as well David good weeks and it got out of the the reshuffling of the deck of putting Garrett temple in the starting lineup and don Spencer which didn't witty that he will come off the bench and then when I re comes out now they put some together because temple gotten fall trouble early and I understand that but both players both chi re Irving that's knows it he's he's the lead singer when he's out there in the beginning of the game and and my Spencer comes in who feels the same way and it's it's the same way in the second half and at the end of the game winner together while worry about that but worry about it then but those two have been able to play better in my opinion because they're not concerned about the other person there's no deferring going on yeah and and think about think about the kind of tumultuous first hearing said with the team he's the first player in franchise history ever to score forty five or more three times right hi this is his nineteenth game they are first time anyone in franchise history is scored fifty or more twice it's in nineteen eighteen only about how about this that this goes out to our friend Frank to grace the yes network yeah what's he got very well well he we've been tracking this week with him and I've always had this back and forth with the nets now on Fridays Friday night is them play Friday day games Friday nights while the big night their eight no com he'd know on Friday thirteen twenty six the rest no try do well tomorrow night on a Saturday nights Friday it was good and it's happy hour he kept the victory one thirty three to one eighteen good to see if that easy one for a change although he they see their doctor within single digits in and time out a number eleven get back in it's I do said that's why they pay the coaches the big Bucks right I thank there's a lot that goes into that one that one was kind of like looking at yeah I'm gonna use a time out.

"In these various treats, and people have come up to me, many people love the show. Just write a couple of people in the gym today, said they loved appreciate, would love it if that story winning with people coming up and repeating some of the profound. Wisdom that we've dropped and say, hey, man. This really helped me out in my financial life, a personal life, my dating life. But no is usually to dumps off that I say, specifically that visually gets thrown back into my face. And it is it is sent me into a downward spiral short. The reason I say this on the text line from the six oh, four. I don't even know where the six oh four is says, on my flight back from Maui yesterday. I was about to recline my seat back licks. I look behind me and saw the size of the person behind me and immediately heard the voice of Bob FitzGerald. Tell me not to be a selfish bastard, so I didn't recline. Thanks, bob. See there we go. Look at people's lives here at Fitz, and Brooks amalgamated industries, we are changing behavior changing lives kindness, Likud, or spreading among the mass of I think that we got me really you because you're the anti airline, claiming don't be reclining. You might have prevented a possible incident at thirty thousand feet. I like it. Look at you. I like it. But this is also think of how the parenting where kids are trying to just cry at a moment's notice in, you have set the standard for when it's okay to cry. Oh, I'm I'm here. I'm here to have, you know, I mean that's the now, now I do have to say losing Durant, and Klay Thompson was putting my you know, that was putting it to the test for me. Win a championship lose a championship compound fracture. One and only retirement. Again, this is this is crying in public. You could cry alone. Or you want to own is I was in public. No don't cry in public. Acquire loan all you want to, because I don't have to see you cry. These rules for when you can cry in public that I have come with come up with are all based on the fact that I don't like seeing grown men cry. Right. Because it makes me have to deal with your emotion is one thing. I'd like to deal with its emotion mine, or anybody else's. What alone turn on the waterworks. Okay. What you do. Yeah, because that's one of those good ugly, color purple cries. I don't get it out. But what you're looking for is really repress in hold back all those emotions finally over. It could just be a total. You know, kind of crime spree or something. Yeah. Yeah. Listen. Do the right thing keep your emotions in and bottled up. So then they can come out very volcanically preferably. After drinking a handle a vacuum. That's look for years. I never like you smeared off. You're my only friend four awaits says since the professors are too good mood. I need a reduction in my tuition. Let's get crazy. Yeah. Mean come on, man. Now, you now you Robin, meet now you hurt not pockets. Six easy for guy who flies first class to tell us coach peasants, not to recline the seat. May I spent you know, I, I was on some south worse this year. I was with the people's you can't even say it would astray straight face, and you're the pitch and your voice is way too high. I flew regular once or twice this year. Shut up. I may have been in the Bulkin. Still, there is somebody who's freakishly tall. Nothing. Angers me more than seeing short people in the bulk kid or any exit row that makes me want to murder, you know what, what I when I see a one that, that looks good, right? I found a found the quote from from Dave Roberts, who as far as I'm concerned, it's still in major shade to Tyler Beatty. Storrow the day here on the Fitz and Brooks show, seven strikeouts. Only giving up that one run three hits walking around the five walks in six innings Tyler Beatty, getting the first win of his career at Dodger Stadium. Something only four other giants have done one of those guys Sean will join us in a few minutes. But tell the was was was awesome less thing. Like I said the way he was able to work around those, those walks were, and that was a workmanlike effort. But here's a quote from Dave Roberts. We hadn't seen him before. He's got a good arm. Tonight was probably his best outing. He pounded the strike zone. Stop hating Dave Roberts stop hating just gives you got a bullpen. That's garbage stub hating. Dave Roberts, give the man his prompts that we know at Dave Roberts really seen before. So, you know, they've Robert says my GM gave me the lineup. They didn't hit against him. So. Because we have yet to clone mex- Muncie. We can only have one of them in the lineup but we're working on that process. I do say, though, that every dodger the comes up, I'm like, oh, you're afraid, no doubt this guy could go yard, but, but imagine if we know that, and we're thinking that, and we're doing it from the safety of our couch. Imagine what that's like being on the mound and the stress and we talked about it yesterday. And it's, you know, it's, it's the obvious thing, but the stress that lineup puts you under. I mean, you, you can only hope that Sean Anderson does Tyler Beatty impression. Anderson getting the start tonight because this just one dude after another after another. And that's what I find to be understanding the context here. It's one of one hundred sixty two but what impressed me about Tyler Beatty? I've said it, you know, quite a few times here at started the show, working around those walks because you get let's be fair on some of these walks one where you own nearly threw down to the third baseman because it was a strike out. Exactly. There was there was some interesting strike zone interpretations for your home plate umpire last night, but you still gotta deal with it. You get traffic on the basis you get that stress. That is one of the lineups of major league baseball where when they start to put you under pressure with that stress. And, and you walk in guys, you end up making a mistake or you gotta come into a guy because he's got a cat leverage, which by the way is by favorites a favorite count from back in the days Romania, but. Count. Dracula couch hockey. But you, you got to come inside to those guys and pretty much everybody in dodger lineup can tote you up except for the pitcher. So for Beatty to do too choppy did last night, again understanding the context, it is it is one. That's impressive. We're missing out. I mean, there could be a phenomenal sports nickname, count chocula. I don't know who we would apply. You know what that's a nickname that we probably could have gotten away with in the seventies and eighties. But now, I just don't know if you could do count chocula. I'm doing it in the vein of like when Darryl Dawkins called himself chocolate thunder. Yeah. That was nineteen eighty three. You can't do that now. I'm not saying it's right. You can't do that now. No, no, no. What, what if what if we pick like a Transylvania looking due to happen to be white? Just like in the white chocolate vein. Jason williams. I don't think you can do that now. Like have you do you know the story of he's just graduated high school now but high school there in Texas. Sprinter, and when I tell you, this dude is fast. This dude is fast crazy fast. All right. I mean this this, this Candido joke, you will see this guy. I think his name is. His name is Matthew bully, you will see this guy in the Olympics, maybe as soon as next year, he's going to college at Georgia cat is fast. He also happens to be Caucasian. So what, of course, are they calling are very fast, white lightning? Absolutely nothing wrong with that exhibit. He and his family, don't much care for him being cold, white lightning. Lord is twenty nineteen relax we just can't do this stuff. But you know what? Let's get that guy on the show. Would we get around to the Olympics next year and just say, hey, you know, we hear about white lightning, would you like to be called count? Chocolate. The complete opposite direction. Now, Google guys, they've Matthew bowling is the fastest Texas high school. Sprinter of all time and McCaffrey families rolled over near grave. I thought they were just raising fast, white kids. That's what the family says. Speaking of the kaffir, specifically Christian McCaffrey. Have you seen Krista McCaffrey lately? Yeah. Christopher carefree has been putting in work and yeah, Jim. Yeah. Protection Nick, if you try to tackle Christopher kaffir this year because you will get clap yet. Well, Christian McCaffrey, off-season worked out with max Muncie. Decay metcalf. That's that's. That's. Dr dre. Busta rhymes Dave Chapelle? We could keep going on. This is all the people. We looked at it and go he gets so big. Yeah, we'll do that later on our weekly chat with the former giants all star. And the man one of four giants including Tyler be who got his first victory of his career. Donna Dodger Stadium. China's this joins us next on the Fitz and Brooks show. In Brooks on six eighty. What has more drama, General Hospital while you're in Africa? I slept. Or NBA free agency gets media. Lebron James has Anthony Davis available to him. Excuse me. What Blake is to win the title. Speaking of drama. It's my kids were talking about Jake's father. So is he? Now, we're talking NBA draft ESPN's Jay Bilas today at five. How about some more drama? "I think Toronto worry as it speaks. So well to the game. This is this this is what the game of basketball. We like to think in manically is all about I'll I'll take you back a forty two years to a very specific scenario. The seventy Sixers of Dr J and George mcginnis, and we'll be free. I think he was still Lloyd in those days and Darryl Dawkins and Bobby and Steve mix at all. Okay. They were very much more glamorous team than the than young Portland trailblazers. And and it was billed this. A contrast of the flashy town. Laden team versus the T E A M. And of course, led by the greatest all around center in the history of the game in my judgment. But anyway, and who prevailed after the first, well, we know who prevailed. So I mean, yes, it's this is an I it speaks for the dynamics of the game that that what you're saying. Here's the key to Milwaukee. We talked about earlier they all understand their off content in their roles. And Secondly there they have an identity on defense, which includes very much includes at the combo, but they have an identity they've given themselves on defense. And that hasn't changed in. That's not flickering at all. And so it works. Yeah. That that's working very well for them without having this abundance of of all star game. Speaking of Siad, according to the New York Times USA basketball plans to gauge the interest of Zion in playing in the FIBA World Cup this summer. He would already of course, be drafted by an NBA team. At that point. When asked about the prospects of asking Zion to play here is what USA basketball head coach Gregg Popovich said, quote, there's been no USA outreach or selection or anything like that. That process is going to happen pretty quickly because the end of the year is coming. We'll have to figure out who's on the team who's gonna play who's not gonna play. But I don't have any comments about any individuals, Tracy. What do you think about Zion playing more games for free of break before basketball seasons? Looking at top in outfit right there. Give me nightmares. Screaming and the Richard Jefferson. Nightmare watching. Sneaky. Do I, but I you know him being if he gets invited to play feeble World Cup. I think it'd be a good experience. "Evan Roberts with you here on a Saturday until Yankee baseball talk a little hockey at noon with the NHL trade deadline soon upon us with EJ Radic right now. Matt is in White Plains. Hello, matt. Yes. White plains. I don't I'm getting used to this. This is like still different. I'm still every time. I say Matt why is this the Matt because you have now v to us, you know. Well, you know, bro. Ernie ask me and also I heard a that from Westchester. I'm CNBC show. Okay. I want to be confused for that guy. Okay. I'd like to get to a Bryce Harper point. If I may have my biggest beef with the media. Okay. Besides besides their obvious by sees the word it how they sensationalize. Okay. I don't think it's fair to the public. I don't think it's fair to the people or person who's involved with a story. I don't like it. Plus insults. My intelligence with that said, I love, you know, I do Brockhall. How do you know that these women at this specific spa, and I'm going to quote you were held against their own. Well, I don't know. Nobody Matt that's see. That's my overall point that this is one of those stories where we still don't know the facts, I know everybody wants to comment on it. But we still don't know. We don't know anything. We don't know if they were how old they were all these details, and I agree with the first thing, you said I and I mentioned this the other day it's being sensationalized because there's a name. We're familiar with it shouldn't matter if it's Bob Kraft, the nature of the story is what's going on. And we're gonna find out at these parlors not just a guy or the guys that are going there. But it's getting attention because well, he's the owner of the New England Patriots. So he's a big name. Well, maybe I misunderstood the point is I listen to this stuff all the time. Work outside got the earpiece. And did that phrase held against their own whale is being attached to this story. Listen, I got you by a year. I've been around the block once or twice I'm still single. The guy went to a rub and talking got in trouble. He got busted. But wait a second. Wait a second. We you also can assume that that wasn't the case that we don't know the story about how these women got their if these are women who are saying, hey, this is what I wanna do. It's a lot different than women coming over from China. And basically, yes, like, you said being held against their will that may be the case we have to find out, and that's being attached to this story as of right now so much like you can't just throw it away and say how come on this is normal. This happens. You can't do that with the other extreme. So we have to wait for these facts to come out. And that's why this is such a difficult story for all of us to have opinions about we don't know yet. We should know better than we should have learned what's been going on that. Sometimes we have to have patience and let the facts come out. John is in Hopewell. What's up, John? Hey, what's up? How you doing? Like you in a big Brooklyn. Nets fan. Bountiful beautiful big big. Yeah. I just like you. I go back to Darryl Dawkins. Mike Jovanovski Robert just back back to those days, Otis birdsong. Anyway, Mike, my point is this is my problem with the match I met fan for forty years. I'm tired of the lies. That's the problem. That bothers me is lie. I would take the Yankee organization in a blink of an eye care. If you're twelve years old ninety years old if you can pray you getting a lineup up. You know, if you remember. Why why Rosen? Dhanjal really answer for giving the answer to why. In september. Do you? Remember what what did they tell us? I don't I don't remember, honestly. Okay. Exactly. Defense wasn't good enough. He needed a lot of work. And we're not bringing them up because of his defense. The reason was because they wanted. I didn't want to start the clock on this guy. They wanted to wait another year. Just pose that you want to wait another John John, you know, the Yankees if I'm not mistaken did the same thing with gleyber Torres last year. He didn't make the team right out of spring training. And they took advantage of a service time issue. He wasn't called up to late April. I. Exactly for him. But this was a September. Call exactly post defense is not good enough. Now. Later now. He's got a shot to win. He's gonna be out. I. John John John Janis fairness in fairness to what happened last September. There was a different administration seeing the older Senate was the or actually sandy was not the general manager at that time. But they had the Omar Mnaya trifecta at that time. Rhody van wagon in as the new general manager. He's changed a lot of this front office. So to compare the decision in August and September which I disagreed with at the time. I forgot that is what they said. It's a good memory his defense. Is it ready? That's why Peter Alonzo wasn't coming up. And I think I do remember is I think this must have been in June or so you notice Jeff McNeil's tearing it up at AA, and I think at triple I think it was that AAA for a little bit and questions started to be asked about Jeff mcdill. And Mickey Callaway wasn't really familiar with the versatility of McNeil and said, well, we don't need a second basement. Meanwhile, McNeil could play other positions. I do remember that excuse, but this is a different administration right now. So it's tough to start saying, hey, why did you say this September and now here in February you're saying something else? Well, there's a different boss now Dan's up in Albany. Hi, dan. Hey, good morning. Sarah being a Mets fan. I wanna talk about that for a minute. But I just wanted to ask you something if you can yesterday was the thirty ninth year since the gold medal game when the Americans beat the rush. Yes. That s today and George Washington's birthday what a combination tomorrow be the eleven o'clock game, I snuck into that game. Oh, yeah. A you could go they were steps. And there was ticket takers on left or right. I use my ticket from Friday walk right in between. Everybody went upstairs and saw the game. It was just a remarkable thing for what was happening in the world. I've tried to these kids winning in four years ago. I went to the reunion like flashes and got everybody is a sign of beautiful photo that I did. And it was great. But with the match. Are going to be very competitive ship. But I think what's the play Ryan to a specific problem. I think lack of team speed also a little bit on the defensive side of the who placed third base and who play first base and with the outfield. So I think I just hope that the Mets don't give away a out or two in a game where they score whether the other team scored some runs gives them a based upon defense. And then as far as offense on the on the understand their speed side of things. Gotta steal some basis this year, they got aggressive on the basis, and I don't know if they have the quality of players based upon age that will will be able to do that. I don't I don't know how many to tears stolen base point. I'll start there. I don't know how many stolen bases they're going to get. Because like you said, I don't think they have a lot of guys Robinson Cano is not stealing twenty five bases. I think you've got guys who can sneaky steel base. I think Brandon Nimmo can sneaky Stella base. I think Todd Frazier actually can sometimes sticky sneaky steel a base what's going to be important. And I know the Mets have said this is something they're working on is not only the situational hitting which is music to my ears. I know chili Davis. I guess ramp. Rub. Some players the wrong way. Maybe in Chicago with that strategy and their offense fell off the rooftop. But I love the idea love the idea that the approach isn't going to be let me get the ball in the air and hit a ball over the fence. I love the idea that your approach in different situations will vary. I'm a fan of that. But. Mets have talked about being aggressive on the base paths. Like, the Red Sox and taking the extra base, and that is more important probably than just the raw stolen base you like a stolen base here. And there especially if you have guys capable of doing it. I think I'm Ed Rosario probably has the most potential of anybody on this roster to give you know, maybe twenty twenty five stolen bases. But I think that aggressiveness on the base paths will certainly be a positive. But they are an older team. We do know that Ralph. Boy, I feel bad. I feel. What's the matter? What happened? I feel like the last time we talked. I was very confident about your football team. And maybe two. Yes, I'm Italian. You put the Milwaukee on them. Thanks sorry about that. Sorry. All right. Let me get to before we get to the two Steeler guys US before. Why would you want to help you out the Indianapolis Colts? Will you know, why hasn't because I'm your boy, I'm your boy. And you know, why else known fact around the New York area that your wife and your sister, coal fans don't deny it. Well, first of all before I even addressed that lunacy. I did say I wouldn't help the cult. I said why would this be healers? Help the colts pathetically hypothetical question. Guys. I'm gonna I'm gonna let you get there. Just calm down. All right. Take a deep breath. Right. I'm fired up. I'm probably up. All right. I'm gonna give you a lot of time t y Hilton says I want out I'm going to be traded. Would you trade him to the Pittsburgh Steelers? Would you trade them inside the conference? No, no, no. What? But I know. Not a big TY. So I'll tell you why. I'll take him. But listen. Yes. Those two guys. Yes, Percival Chris Ballard. I know Chris Ballard wants choirboy. Someone ain't gonna happen. Number one. The running backs two hundred sixty pounds. So I don't know what he's doing in his life where he's going. He hasn't played a year. The other guys, you know, Diana's mustache yellow, and he's missed a big testing out of his mind. I don't want those two guys. I'm what I want to run this organization the way they're supposed to they also wished I was your brother in law. Other than that. Everything's gotten Ralph. Thank you very much for your phone. Call a couple of things the two hundred sixty pound thank. And I get to that lady on bells trainer has come out and said, that's ridiculous. Now, do I know the answer to it? Do you know the answer to the only people that know, the answer Latium bell and the scale he goes on. That's all we know. And as long as he's in the proper shape when training camp starts are really when the season starts all that stuff is overrated. Obviously if you're gonna sign leaving on bell. You're probably gonna want to meet with him. And maybe take a look at them and see how it looks Bolivia. Bills trainer has already come out and said come on. He's not two hundred sixty pounds during his holdout. That's number one number two. You may be right about the colts not having that much of an interest in both of those guys. Because both of those guys are really really good. But they come with baggage. The Levy on bell baggage is passed drug suspensions. He gets another one could wipe out a. Big chunk of time and Tonio Brown, just the way he's acting. I think would concern you and the other thing with bell going back to bell has nothing to do with him. It's the obvious. It's the position he plays..

"They think that. You know, his efforts of birth herculean. He's incredibly impressive. You can't teach vertical. Leap which is at about forty six to forty seven inches. You can't teach two hundred eighty pounds. You've heard the comparisons to the Charles Barkley's of the world along with various others. You get all of that. But you've got I've got some people I run across some people in the NBA circles. And in college basketball circles, they have a question about his remedy shot and have questions about how great his upside could be potentially day like Ave Barrett a lot they think that he is the real deal. They clearly believe Zion. Williamson would be a top three pick. But they also think it depends on the team who picks him if you're the New York Knicks, for example, you not only need him. Because of his skill set. You need box office a box office attraction, if you're a few other teams, you might not need that you might be an all around versatile player who's perceived as having a better perimeter game like an audit. Jay barrett. So it's one of those things and this kid out of Oregon Manute Bol son of oboe, LA believe is name is. I mean, they he's injured. So he hasn't been playing, but a lot of people like him as well. So they look at Zahn Williamson they say he's easily top five probably top three. But in terms of the debate as to whether or not he's number one overall, they think it depends on the market that he's going to and how much they need a basketball player compared to how much they need a box office attraction. He's clearly number one box office. He's clearly top three overall. But they look at a guy like RJ Barrett, and some people that I've spoken to believe there's a chance he could get taken the head as I on Williams. No chance Williamson's going one overall. He's a generational talent. And you just said it, Stephen here's box office. This is an only a slam dunk. This is an above the rim above the bad. Take sixty degrees, slam dunk. This is John Williamson slim. Mm dunk like what are you hoping from Zairean Williamson that he's better than Blake Griffin or someone like I hope he's at least better than Blake Griffin. Julius Randle, but with more athletic ability, right? That's the that's the kind of downside Zion waves was the downside of RJ, Barron. Andrew Wiggins or someone like that. There is no chance I on Williamson doesn't go number one. He's bigger bigger stronger the much more athletic, by the way, even his field goal percentage. I realized that's because of his size, and he scores in the paint and everything nevertheless, he Ziya Williamson could miss miss his next hundred and twenty five shots and had the better field goal percentage than r j Barrett right now like think about that for a second sixty eight percent like forty five percent. Yeah. A lot of that's in the paint. I get it. But for a big I've scores in the paint and allows shoots it pretty good doesn't he I mean, considering do you believe there's room for improvement there, of course. But is there reason to believe you can improve he's a freshman doing this stuff? Stephen when a guy comes along. With this kind of athletic ability. Not to mention the numbers. He's putting up. You will not be the team that MRs picking could you imagine Winston fulfills the potential and winds up like a better version of Charles Barkley or someone and you're sitting around is the GM who passed up on him. Happen. He's going. I listen, I will tell you this. I'm a real fan of Barrett. Now, I would take hours number one. There's no question about all all the reasons that you are ticketed because I feel that I would take the number one. That's how much I feel about it. But I do understand from basketball perspective. Particularly the way today's game is called you could be an agenda you can be athletic. But in the same breath, you could be so far. We did it's hard to real you win. And even though is no comparison. Please don't get me wrong. I'm not comparing to play this. Let me give you an example. Do you? Remember max back in the day when chocolate thunder Darryl Dawkins, God rest, his soul. Well, I mean, you know, he was he was breaking backboards and going crazy..

"All right. Welcome back. Everybody Nick Gilio here on seven twenty WGN, and we are live in the AllState skyline studios Tuesday morning. We're here until five AM. And we're talking about words that are one hundred years old. This year two thousand nineteen and how some of them are hard to believe that they're that old. And we were talking about dunker. Wishes a this early sports term straightforward enough. It refers to a basketball player who makes dunk shots sport itself was invented twenty eight years earlier at Springfield college in Massachusetts. And I was saying that I find it hard to believe that dunker could be one hundred years old, and I just can't picture guys. Playing basketball in nineteen nineteen Dunkin. But when we were thinking, maybe it sounds maybe it's a little bit different. You know, what we think of in terms of dunking today is a little bit different than what it was back a hundred years ago. And we got some people who are calling in. Here is Glenn WGN Glenn. Hey, come. I forgot what you and then Dan happy new year to you. Thank you. Hero. I happen to solve program tonight. It has to do it. People things left in Noel basketball and the doors docking allowed, but it was not outlawed. It was banned once Llewellyn centres while cream started playing basketball and for a while. There was not allowed in basketball, the dunk shot. What they did bring it back. Ten years later dried solid. It's kind of interesting. So. Existed. Did they did they talk about how far back actual dunking existed in the sport? Because I just can't imagine it being a popular thing in nineteen nineteen. I don't know why it was far as it was original things, you could do it basketball. And it was actually the before you couldn't even dribble when you had to pass a shot you had to stop. And and and then pass the ball. You couldn't dribble off it, which seems nowadays. Yeah. It does seem weird. Yeah. I as far as sleep roles. You know, I always always considered sweets roles just as generic terms for all sweet rolls, and like a Danish would be something like something that's more flattened cells with no center, personal eight. But that's just me. Yeah. I think I think sweet rolls is kind of generic terminate includes Danish and anything that sort of resembles a Danish if it has like fruit in it or or maybe a frosting on top of a Glen, thanks for the call three one nine eight one seven two hundred is the phone number. Here's Bill on WGN. Hi, bill. Are you? I wanted to tell you about a few years ago. When Gus Johnson played for Washington, he came to Milwaukee and my run Jeff was up in the in the grandstands and. Sudden these guys were like holding them underneath. And then they did it breaks down in east slam the ball so hard to get the basket, Jewish shattered. And my friends have that they were selling beer to him. He was underage. They were you know, they didn't know what to do after a while. I didn't really believe him. But that's what he said. And then as as bay street is goal. I'm i'm. Square guy. And I just wanted to say. All right. Thank you Bill. Take care got. So they got a kid under each kid drunk. And he shattered a backboard. Canadian Bill says beaver tail are also sold at the carnivals. There's sometimes called elephant ears. That's what they're called here. Right elephants. They're not beaver tails like if you go to like a fair or something it's elephant. Here's. Three. Oh, one area code says. I do recall the term compu- complimentary close from back in the sixties when I was a parochial school in Pennsylvania. I like that term. Three oh, nine area codes is what about will dunking in the fifties. And sixties. The right Bob Madera, Nick and eight one six area code. I'll say Darryl Dawkins was famous for shattered bag, right Darryl, Dawkins, mustered out a lot of backboards. Shattered a lot of them. I was surprised maybe like, well, maybe the was lower. Maybe that's why back in one thousand nine hundred ninety dunk. But according to this Naismith had ten feet from the beginning. So it wasn't a situation where they rim used to be like seven feet and somebody could do it. And then according to the Wikipedia article on slam dunks. The earliest known attributed dunks were by Bob Kurland in the nineteen forties and fifties he was a seven feet tall. And. Was the first person to do it. Very go games. Right. Yeah. But it was one of those deals where it was just. Like the exceptionally tall. Guys would do it. Right. I mean, you guys are over. We'll we'll Chamberlain was like what is what is Wilt Chamberlain exists. Seven feet tall. So I think in the early days in the early days, if you're seven feet tall, you could you could actually dunk without jumping very high. But then in the days when like guys who were like six three or whatever we're jumping Jordan was he like six four. Six six six six. Okay. I mean, that's pretty tough. But still that's a lot of height and he would get well his name is Air, Jordan. So yes, I mean. Yeah. But everything, you know, it's you know, it is interesting. How all sports have changed tonight. Obviously, Dan, you know, I'm showing the movie slapshot and that movie when you watch that movie. It's like, wait a minute. These guys aren't wearing helmets. There's barely any pads. The goal is just got like a face mask on and like very very little padding on his body. And the sticks are wooden and guys are really slamming each other into the boards and stuff like that. And and how things have changed and the rules of changed over the years and the style, and what you play any kind of sport and basketball's another one that is completely evolved over the years. There was an interesting kind of back and forth about a month and a half ago, two months ago. There was a free agent pitcher who is on some podcast and Babe Ruth came up. And he said, you know, Babe Ruth wouldn't be able to to do anything today. It was probably relations show on Otani. And and all that he's just like, you know, Babe Ruth couldn't hit by knuckleball. He couldn't even do it. And like brought up a big back and forth between historians are not because they say the one game that kind of have stayed true is baseball like a guy who played baseball in the nineteen hundreds in theory could play baseball today and still have some level success. And a lot of people said he would need a little bit of time. But he probably could still hit a ball very far, even if it was traveling twenty to thirty miles faster than it was when he was playing would say that again to your point a hockey player. Today couldn't versus hockey player back then or basketball player back then versus the best ball player now. And. Also in terms of in terms of Babe Ruth, and what he would he be a good pitcher where he be considered a good pitcher now. Which I've always found fascinating because Babe Ruth, obviously. Historically, one of the greatest baseball players that's ever played the game, and he played a bunch of different positions. And you know, no, not only for just all the home runs. But he was a pitcher as well. Like, you don't see that anymore. Like you. Don't see pictures. Don't do that. That's not what you know. That's why there's a designated hitter. So which I hate by the way, I'm I'm one of those people that hate the designated hitter hate it. All right. Let's get back to some of these terms. Here's one and another one that I can't believe is is one hundred years old fan. Boy. This term for a boy or man who is extremely or overly enthusiastic fan of something. Or someone predates our internet fueled obsession with celebrities. The female equivalent fan. Girl didn't roll around until nineteen thirty. I can't believe that fan. Boy is one hundred years old. I mean, I would have thought I would've thought the term was like twenty years old. Right with the with the internet and everything, but. Wow. Hundred years old. How about this golden retriever? These very good. Golden boys were first bred and Scotland in eighteen sixty five a breeder made it a yellow retriever with a tweed water spaniel and their offspring became a new breed of dog that would later be called the golden retriever. That's where the the golden retriever came from. That's a hundred years old. Here's one hundred years old, jigsaw puzzle. According to the online. Etymology dictionary. The pieces of jigsaw puzzle were cut with vertical reciprocating saw called a jigsaw in the early nineteen hundreds hence, the name, jigsaw puzzle. Before that they were known as dissect it, maps or dissecting pictures. So it's actually named after the the the saw I didn't know that. So that that's where the jigsaw puzzle s really interesting. Dissect it maps that sounds like fun. Hey, honey. You wanna do you wanna you wanna put together? A dissect it map. Man. Oh, man. How about this one out gas? No, this doesn't refer to a farting contest. But rather the removal of gases from a material or space usually by heating. Out gas. Okay. Fully. What internalization this interjection used to express disgust has probably been in use before your grandpa was born. Some other funds synonyms include fall few year in rats. He's a good one. All right. How about this puts putsch? We can thank the Swiss German-language for this word also known as a coup d'etat refers to a secretly plotted and suddenly executed attempt to overthrow a government. Right.
