He, by the way, is the county's first blast. Black prosecutor he reopen, reopen the case after taking office. One of the reasons he gained office is because of disapproval for no case against Darren Wilson, the first place and then he looked at the evidence, he said, Sorry. We can't actually make a case at his office conducted a five month review of witness statements, forensic reports and other evidence, the AP noted, adding his investigation does not exonerate Darren Wilson. But it's not the way the criminal justice process works. If you're not convicted, that doesn't mean you're not. Exactly that does not mean that you are exonerated. There is no exonerated standard in criminal law. There's just not prosecuted. So you also get to Claire not exonerated. That's not the way this works. L said. I know this is not the result they were looking for and that the pain will continue forever. Jim tally, Wilson's attorney noted Belle's review had the same conclusion as Bells predecessor. Changes on the cove in 19 front in San Francisco case, CBS's Jim Taylor with the latest from health and government officials, battle is challenging. We are seeing some troubling signs. This is Supervisor Catherine Stephanie. As of this week, we have seen 6197 positive cases. With 57 deaths in San Francisco more than 100 cove it 19 patients are now hospitalized in the city. And of those 1/4 are very sick and in intensive care here, San Francisco Director of Health Dr Grant Colfax let me be clear. We are in a major surge of cove in 19. The virus is moving fast and more people are getting seriously ill to address a shrinking number of available hospital beds. San Francisco officials taking the wraps off what is called a low acuity, continuing care site. It's in the Presidio. It is intended for San Franciscans who need non cove in health care. Jim Taylor KCBS Sonoma County leaders are putting pressure on the state over its regulation of skilled nursing facilities as case CBS's Mike Dewald reports. It comes amid the deadliest week in the county since the start of the pandemic. The county's reported seven deaths already this week, all over the age of 65 all with underlying health conditions and all residents of skilled nursing facilities. The outbreak is overwhelmed the ability for the county's 20 nursing homes to effectively contained the virus among residents and staff. Soma County Supervisor James Gore says that unlike a hospital, skilled nursing facilities face less stringent regulations from the state. What we're doing is ramping up our efforts. On the state to say, Hey, you know the guidelines you guys put out for the skilled nursing facility since you regulate those are not good enough, According to cinema County public health Officer, Dr Centauri Mace. The county's weighing its options, including a bubble strategy and identifying a site where residents who have been exposed or infected could safely isolate goal really is to separate those who have the virus. The global supply of Pee pee and 95 masking in particular cannot meet the current demand. So how are the state's hospitals being flexible? They're sharing pp between facilities working directly with manufacturers and, yes, asking staff to reuse and 95 masks. Dr. Dale Beatty with Stanford Healthcare, says demand is high for so many reasons, for example, we've done pretty significant work on the front door screening, making sure that we're really controlling and assessing Who's coming through our front doors to make sure environment remains safe. That also uses up P P as well. But Xeni Cortez, a staff nurse, a Kaiser Permanente in South San Francisco and president of the California nurses, Association believes that back in March, our employers could have taken care of the possibility of a problem in the future. If they only prepared for this pandemic, she says. It's frustrating to hear about supply shortages. One nurse is confined and 95 masks for sale. Granted it elevated price is on the Internet. No charges against officer who fatally shot Michael Brown

"The results of a secret five month review of the Darren Wilson case. The ST Louis County prosecutor has announced there will be no charges filed against the Ferguson police officer who shot and killed Michael Brown. The question for this office was a simple one. Could we prove beyond a reasonable doubt? Then when Darren Wilson shot Michael Brown, he committed murder. Or manslaughter. Under Missouri law, this is Kevin Killeen. ST. Louis County prosecutor Wesley Bell says the evidence wasn't there. And he would have also had to prove that self defence was not a factor as Brown scuffled with Wilson trying to take the officer's gun. What I hope is that People who are watching this understand that way. Put the time We We did a thorough And detailed investigation. "Today! We're sharing a story from two thousand fifteen. It contains references to police brutality. The plan was actually I was just going out there to be nosy. I wanted to see what you know. What a protest was looking live because I had called my brother. and. He said He said they're protesting. And you know I didn't know what a protest was while. I knew it was, but I have never seen one in person I've read about them in school. So I I, wanted to see one in person. This is Edward. Crawford on August eleventh two thousand fourteen just a few days after. Michael Brown was shot and killed by officer. Darren Wilson in Ferguson Missouri Edward Crawford onto his first protest. People angry, I, think signs. Here people chanting using profanity. I mean they were mad. You know the the motion was at all time high. Over well. There were people crying. I, don't know if those relatives or friends of my Brown. It was. It was it was different. It was something I never experienced in my life. That's how he described his first day of demonstrations when he went back out the next night. August twelfth. It was a different story. The people out there protesting. They were angry at the police and the police were angry at the people that were protesting. You know so it's like. Both sides were antagonizing each other. And you know the. They were out there to do their job. But the People In our I guess they were there to be hard. The police at some point, they started lining up with riot gear. What did that look like to you? Is that when things started to seem like scary or or the things are changing? Their looked like something you see on a movie They were very tactical. You know you can tell that they have been through. Very prestigious training. You know like the formation. Even when they move, you know they move on one. It seemed like they were. On one beat. If it if you you know if that's what you call, it I, don't know, but. It was organized. And they were chanting like a go home. This is not a lawful. Protest anymore. Please return home. And then there were people saying like this is home. This whole scene was well documented in the media at the time. The conflict between protesters and law enforcement reached fever pitch. And when the protesters refused to disperse, the police started firing at the crowd with rubber, bullets, wood pellets and tear gas canisters so when they shot the tear gas. Landing fairly close and the sound of I, don't. I'm pretty sure you haven't heard. Tear gas shot. It's a loud sounds like a grenade is going off when his shot. And It's it's when it's when his first shot it's. It's like real smoke in the sky. And then you can follow the smoke trail. You'll see where it lands and it landed. Fairly close to me. What did it look like when it landed? How big is it league? A spray paint can No, it's actually smaller like a twelve ounce soda can and it was smoking at the time it was the fire. What did it feel like when you picked it up? It was it was room temperature. It wasn't hot. It really didn't have A. Distinctive you know like to where if you touch you know that okay. This is not good. What did you do it? Throughout the way either just out of the way, or did you throw it? which way did you throw it? I really didn't aim for direction because I didn't have time to even think to where I was GONNA throw it.

In his community after a grand jury found. There was not enough evidence to indict Wilson, I would, like to introduce your next city councilman reward change. Came after a strategic door knocking? Campaign earned him a seat on the Ferguson city council what was the need you saw I saw a need for leader Ship three years later he's poised to lead the most impactful, crimefighting office in the county how. Did you win this, see well, we, went, into this campaign the mindset that. We have I should say. Was that we were going to focus on the. Issues we wanted to give. People a reason to be inspired to go to the polls as opposed to the fear and and antagonism. That we see with a lot of elected officials and, that, message resonated as we as we can see bell ran on a criminal Justice. "I guess look at it this way if you're making a movie with al sometimes i i teach on on how to how to do what i do if you're making the movie you have to have movie moments in and to have moments that are actually worthy of a of a feature film you have to take some big time wrists and so you'll have always looked even like my that's my first movie was just i'm just going wherever i could get in anybody who's just let me end of the field but after that it could be a little bit more um selective and so for furious love which is movie about spirits warfare i'm like well let's just go to the darkest places we can find for making a movie about showing god's love them dark places like but still to this effect street let's go to witchcraft festivals like it seems like that seems like what you would do to try to figure you know it's a kind of look at the the kind of the contrast between dark and light so i guess yeah for me it's just i'm i'm always trying to look for those things that are gonna be just really interesting for people but more so just interesting for me like i want to go i wanna see got move is much than anybody else so you know why not put yourself in positions that are interesting shall we say absolutely you know that's a really interesting point that you you bring up as far as the movie moments and you know i think we get caught it you know possibly a a religious cycle where we get caught in this um as creators will get caught in a cycle of really trying to do everything that we do too you know honor the lord or please lord and for you as an artist to mention something like that trying to create movie moments that are going to adapt to or capture captivated audience w.

"And uh borrowed some money from family and friends and um what started i was a short film turned into a feature film and uh it's called finger of god and that things became kind of this runaway smash hit and also had a new career and uh didn't quite know what to do with it active i've just been walk try to walk asleep by 10 percent that's awesome so so was rudy the scepticism or or what was the the reason for the film to begin with uh when you started yeah i mean as far as like my i mean the the reason was because i felt the war that but but as far as like how he approached it i was yeah i was very sceptical i was entering this world of kind of i guess you'd call it charismatic christianity i didn't i didn't grow up in that i wasn't uh s super familiar with it and i didn't really trust it very much but uh i i i wanted to i knew i had to kind of suspend might this belief enough to just at least investigated um but it never was supposed to be like an expose and like we're gonna like find hard and fast proof that miracles exist it was just this one guys like just little journey around the world to see like this got still doing stuff because if he is i wanna know and does and that's kind of the we're at birth in i think the the reception and it's had over the years uh obviously there's a lot of people kind of their with me so uh absolutely ari that's exactly what it has done whether you intend this for it uh to do what what it did or not i did actually generate or create some sort of rebirths and uh miracles and believing in miracles and removing scepticism for people being able to see what is actually taking place in some of these films and then moving into the holy ghost series where it's a holy spirit lil mad film it bids your is is pretty pretty amazing is pretty radical uh why don't you talk about that a little.

"Darren wilson who shot michael brown the police officers shot him six times um what gave one account of the story and witnesses gave another account the story yeah and so when michael brown's death cut it became part of a national conversation and especially with their garners death to which immediately preceded i think like a month before back in two thousand fourteen um eric garner is death was fullon videotaped by a guy who is standing there recording it on a cell phone yes and it it got out in it was released to the public and it started this national conversation about police brutality um an but it also had this other real aspect to it that this conversation might not be happening were it not for video documentation of these of air garners death so the fact that this is happening at a time right after riyal toe has had the study people are looking around saying this thursday entire swath sees communities um have had this what was called in a simmering distrust of the police and they've had it forever but now all of a sudden the rest of the nation's paying attention to this very important issue um an this these body cameras worked so well for this little town east of los angeles maybe we should start to institute toes and all of a sudden the department of justice search showing out forty three million dollars in grants for local law enforcement the by body cameras and there is this this idea that good the problem solved.
