"Yeah i don't know any of them Only one though no has wins over three power. Five teams wow name that team. I'll help you okay. Why you know that wasn't gonna guess. Nebraska came close. Well when you missed field goals and extra point taken back for two points. Oh my god. I mean so all my clothes. They were closer than i thought. Then and another dimension. They won twenty three to twenty one and another dimensional road. I live in. Yeah i we're one. They lost by seven and they kept it respectable. No kidding i'm telling you the defense is still twenty. Three sixteen yeah. It'd be nice if we had anybody on special teams Because this is now now now play the role that you've played in the past Look if we had anybody decent on special teams. We'd before. No i don't. I've never said that. Okay i've never said a word about special teams. That's i think that's the first time special. Teams has come up on his broadcast as a matter of fact But three you know for for byu after that. Arizona state beating yeah beatdown of arizona state. Okay not quite. There was a play in that game. The doubt everybody must go see where the coolest in their guy football history interception by the way he reminds me of brett farve. He needs to keep it under control a little bit. You know he does because he would make the most incredible place but then stuff what happened. But i do that. Interception right in the running back chased him down. That was like don beebe chasing down leeann. Let the super bowl. so he throws a what looked to be a pick. Six darren hall from the cougar quarterback he throws what is certainly a a pick six but at the twenty yard line. So he's gone like sixty yards. Are running back tyler. Algiere chases him down. The guy's got like. I think four three speed and i'd like to point out on this guy with the rain bags. Name tyler. he was on the ground. Yeah cut open gets up and cheeses down and then tomahawk chops. Him climbs on his back on his back and smashes the ball out of his arms. The quarterback hustled all the way down the field. He recovers the fumble. We get the ball back. Yeah i mean. Arizona state would have taken the taken the lead at point and they never did take the lead. Stereotypical is a great play. Congratulations you got any big speed bumps on the way. Oh yeah we still got a tough rodeo. Okay you got boise state you got. Usc baylor. i don't know how good washington state is This weekend is South florida so that should be. I'm hoping it's an easy win We could use an easy winners. The game provo All right so that's the recap there on the weekend. The packers played tonight. I believe against the right. Yeah the falcons lost badly yesterday. I mean they club back did they. Were down twenty eight to ten then clawed back twenty eight twenty five and then it just fell apart. Yeah so what did end up. Forty six twenty five i. I don't know something like that now. My memory stuck on twenty eight. Twenty five paul. Okay all right. We'll leave it at that. Thank you. That's fine zach wilson from last year's byu team. Oh my terrible terrible we. That was not good. Of course peyton. Manning had games in his rookie season. So that's why. I'm falling back on right. That's good yeah. Big rally in washington. Dc in support of the january sixteenth. All my gosh. "But i think that's gonna be the logan ryan Little slot little safety bigeye. A physical tackler And and you know a lot of the times to they only see a place whereas all over did beat and you with corners. You have to watch them every play pathway least obviously but You know there's a lot of times they all playing pretty good coverage. There's but i think he's badly just over. Hated lightning rod. There's always gotta be one you know it was big beasley before that And i think in this new role. Because i i just don't see these but again on the outside any shows I think in this new role he's going to be really really good Well let me let me walk that back to us a little bit. I think he's going to be good. I think he's gonna be improved. And i think he'll still get a lotta. Hey you know a lot of hate Just because you know he's still got messed up every once in a while. There's no corn league. I think they get up zero percent. Completion percentage But you know i. I think he's going to be a lot more physical he's going to be able to Take a little bit of pressure off himself. And i think he's going to flourish in a new role with this. Yeah i think so and good kid interviewed him after one of the games. Just really down to earth Got a good shoulders. So i want to see him succeed. I think you. And i talked about him for I think a lot of the fact that he was a second round. Pick that some people had first route. You know potential first round pick. I think if for what he's given us if he were a fourth or fifth round pick you talked about the incredible value that we got him and i. It's unfortunate you player can't choose when they're drafted But right now he fits into that nickel role. That's probably gonna be a good fit for him all right now. Another thing we talked about. I think the and you talked about this. But it doesn't help that. Whenever the falcons in the second round but like they just got a draft. I mean all yes and you know he. He was the round talent. This is a great big. I can't believe he's still sitting in the fountain. Just got him. I don't think the help all nice fall And like yeah improviser. A lot of hype in absolutely that factors into it. And honestly you gotta evaluate these guys not on their draft position or the hype coming out you sit and you have to evaluate them by how they play and how they grow and how they develop and that's what we tried to do and and we try to balance out sort of a hot takes of guys trash. That's out so Let's be realistic folks. A zale offers knocking to light it up. But he's he is. He's got a role in. I think he can play that role fairly well all right behind him now. This is interesting. This is a player. I didn't even think would necessarily make the roster in it still remains to be seen. What the falcons ultimately do with him. But kendall sheffield who is going into his third year you know former fifth round pick. He had a terrible twenty twenty To be blunt they they essentially benched him at one. point the kiva so bad and he's got the capability. He has an athletic Kid he's someone that can make plays but he was just getting roasted on. The regular did not play at all. Preseason in he made the fifty three man roster I'm not entirely sure. Why the falcons. The the fifty three man roster is composed right. Now is very odd. They've got of levin defensive backs which normally most teams peak about ten. You know in It was interesting to see them. Carry a kindle sheffield the to drafted rookies did make it Darren hall and avery williams In my mind darren hall is someone that needs a little bit more seasoning. I think they're carrying him to redshirt him in the same way we mentioned earlier. He's a player. I think we'll probably start off. Inactive on game days every williams though came on pretty strong towards the back end of these preseason games Not even to mention the fact that he was really drafted we are punt returner and as a corner was beginning to show out at the back end of camps. Who how do you feel about these last three guys at the corner position. Yeah this this is where the great starts to tail off for me a little bit death. The death is absolutely concerning and my thing is You know. I understand aaron hall everywhere. Working progress know who really knows about kendall. Sheffield at this point where you know we talk about you. Know if you wanna make the roster you can contribute on special teams tackling is not exactly gonna sheffield forte. He's as a really good actually and he has the ball skills he's not a very physical guy Which is kind of widespread. I thought they were gonna keep chris williamson over here. I'm glad to get on the practice squad But the depth is definitely very concerning. I think they're all i. I gave them the demonte. The calm down to the same school that hybrid safety corner combo and i think he can be a contributor. One day. I don't think he's just immediately leave. Leave the exception. But i think they're going to be a solid contributor one day. I don't think it's right now I'm really trying to not get myself too. Excited over every williams Playing well in the preseason but hey if these guys gotta come into a game just stopped by fire. I think they're gonna. I think they're gonna play well on special teams. I think they'll vote definitely contributed a way there They you know this this. These are two guys that i think have long term potential but stepping in immediately. I you know they might see some problems. Yeah exactly and one hundred percent with you there. i do like the long term potential. I think every williams we of the two is going to be the one active on game days simply because the special teams component but over the long term. They could be you know guys that you go to for depth or maybe even eventually become contributors in nickel-and-dime sets on the regular. But yeah like if they're getting into games this year Consistently that's going to be a problem in kendall sheffield. I'm with you. i thought williamson was gonna push sheffield off the roster..

"Whether or not the falcons would keep a fourth guy back there. And it's during ethridge. Who played a fantastic game in that first. Preseason ended up arguably being a little bit more consistent than some of the guys. He was competing with. He has made the initial fifty three man roster. I feel like this is a position that it's going to be relatively stable. Enroll thompson was one of the guys. That was in competition here. I could see him. Potentially going to the practice squad for this team really liked what he did as well in this preseason but right now during ethridge the only other undrafted free agent other than philippi. Franks to make the fifty three man roster. I think he's relatively safe. I think we can run with this now as we get into the defensive backfield. This is where things get interesting. The falcons are going to be running running with eleven total defensive backs now. I think most people thought the max number for the defensive backs it was going to be around ten. So they're they're running one heavier than what most people projected really with that being sort of four safeties five corners and in that that tenth player being sort of a hybrid player that can play both safety and corner. Let's start with the safeties obviously drawn harmon. Eric. harris or the to presumed starters the veteran starters the one year rentals at the safety position and then of course. You've got At the the the backups. For those guys Richie grant who our second round draft pick and then jalen hawkins arguably one of the most improved players from last year to this year Who we think also is going to see a lot of playing time now. The corner position. This is where. I think things are a little bit interesting obviously. Aj terrell fabien moreau or the to pencil in starters. They've looked good from what we've seen from them. In camp in limited playing time in the preseason and then behind them. you've got isaiah. Oliver who is the presumed nickel corner. Who has actually played pretty well. I think he played pretty well in the back. Half of last year in this revised position for him. And then darren hall and avery williams the to drafted corners. They have made the roster. Darren hall maybe a little bit more surprised but again. I don't think the team wants to walk away from any of their drafted rookies. The they wanna hang on to these guys whether they play him or not so hall could be someone that In the very similar way kept inactive on game days and they're keeping him to pull him into the twenty twenty two season unless injuries of course happened. The head of him every williams. Clearly i think is going to be the punt returner of choice for the team going forward. Tj green who. I feel like really had a very very strong season in the last couple of preseason games that last one may have played him onto the roster his player. It's got some size. He's one of the guys. I think that can sorta platoon. Between safety and corner. He has made the roster so kudos to him and kendall. Sheffield is currently on the roster. Here's a guy that i felt was on the bubble. He did not play at all in the preseason. He is barely practice in fact. I don't know that. He is practiced once many of us thought he would either be put on the pup list or put on injured reserve. This could be something where he could be returning in the very near future. And the falcons just are not willing to move on from him yet. But he has for now made the roster. I will say this. I do feel like this is a position. Where if they're going to add another offensive lineman or even potential another running back. I like one of these defensive backs could be the guy to go and honestly. I still think i'm going to continue to say that. I think kendall sheffield's going to be that guy simply because his second season was such a downturn of performance the injuries this year i could see them trying to stash him on the pup list and obviously that would be six weeks before you would be able to see him again. I feel like there's maybe an additional change coming for the defensive back so this is definitely wanted to keep an eye on but right now sheffield has made the roster and of course the the specialist. Josh harris long snapper young way coup. For the kicker and cameron is lack has made it as the punter The former holder or former teammate of young way coup is also now made the roster as well so kudos to those guys As i mentioned before this is and you're going to see a lot of people saying this and it bears repeating. This is the initial roster. I think we're going to see more moves made even possibly today or tomorrow as these other guys are cut. The falcons are pretty high in the the chain for claiming guys off waivers because of the record last year so if they go and claim a guy there's a good chance that they'll get him likewise if a veteran this cut a specially again i think on the offensive line because of the lack of depth there. I think that is a position. They can look to address. End some of the guys. I think even though right now they're on the roster who are are not necessarily on sure footing. If you asked me to put that down to a list i would say number one. Felipe a franks do think. They'll try to put him on the practice squad at some point. But i just don't see them trying to carry three quarterbacks all year long Josh rosen again. I think this is more about the team wanting to give him a longer. Look but i don't think he's unsure for either. I think the team could still look for another veteran quarterback to be the true. Backup to matt ryan this year. So the two quarterbacks behind matt ryan or on my list for a.

"I've written mayans on my own. No no no not there anymore. You're just sitting there. You know so much sunscreen. You need like and it's not like i'm a big bigger human where it's like. I've got a lot of ground to cover. Joe is just. It's every day you have to put the bug. Spray to bug certainly wants are attached bus. Get the bug spray doesn't work. There's there's there's been some interesting moments at practice. Because i will spray bug spray and i guess i'm the only one that does because maybe everyone else have been here for a long time. I don't know put like the smell of it will like wash down to the media tent and then people get mad at me and i sprayed sixty feet away But you know there is off just wafting its way down so those are been the transitions but as far as football goes you know football football. And i'm still trying to find the stories that i would be telling in detroit in and try to tell them in atlanta the types of stories at least keep smith the story about smith's aunt oncle road on on sunday the story about jolson that i wrote a couple of weeks ago. Like that's the status of that. I didn't detroit and done before and south bend and an aunt in in virginia. And all the places. I've been it's just trying to find those stories here and You know doing that as best as best as i can. I've got about three or four five or six. That are not going to talk about on here. That i'm working on right now and you know. Keep rolling from there. So that's a long as they're probably where we're looking for but it's going okay. Other than the the bugs in the sunscreen. What the bugs have really been coming after me too. So i am very sympathetic So i was up at flowery branch every day when quinn took over for mike smith and so i was. You know there on the ground for the start of that regime and it's really weird for me. It's who not have been able to be up and flowery branch. I haven't seen arthur smith interacting with players and i'm really curious about your overall impression of arthur smith so far in how he runs things frizz he's very down to earth is very serious but he's late. He's incredibly late. As far as i haven't seen him like completely like where it was like one of those head turns like whoa. I can't believe he just like went up in. Oh and maybe that's a little bit of the prior regime that covered the my last stop by that chain. My mentality a little bit on that. But he's treats these guys professionally jokes around with them but also he's incredibly serious. They get their work done. There's not a lot of like messing around It's a very crisp clean practice. But i mean he said it yesterday. Because i asked them so. There was a collision between two degreen. Darren hall now look really bad. I mean it was one of those like you earned. It started like car-crash koizumi then again. They're not they're not in pad and they're just comets shows and tj green was holding his head down. And you know usually coaches let that go like get the guy off the sahni. It keeps going in. Practice literally stopped practice until Endless because maybe there was some concern by next stuff but like just did a movement and he's he was there like arthur smith said after bryce i listen i'm not gonna just reverse field and keep going like you make these okay. Make sure it's also big serious. I it wasn't tj green. Darren hall returned to practice so know crisis in a potentially very bad situation averted there that to me stuck out because it's like no he's you know he's paying attention in these being sort within. I think how he's handled players in training. Camp has been very smart if they show the slightest bit of injury or slightest bit of anything. They're held out now. I know that that's sometimes confused fans but you know i mean by cow i remember rubio's was fourth day daycare or whatever and really at what was deemed a veteran rest day. And it was you know there are people on twitter. How veteran no. He's he has a plan to make sure that really understands. It's all about getting to september twelfth healthy and if feel encounter really feels like he needs a recipe or ucla cowper and they give it to. He's been really smart about that. And i think that he's left based off to a pretty good impression anniversary. Any of how. He handles players how he treats them. And it's just a very businesslike atmosphere. Like you can tell you go and you get your work and get your job done and you move on. And that's being. I think what you've also seen with the media and how he handled i. He's what's his personality. Come through every now and then like the back and forth anyhow embattled floor for a couple days fantastic was started because of a question. I asked about it because i just noticed. He was wearing like different great hats every day. So i just ask about choice because coaches are weird about different things like eight you know jim kaba always board. She watches and really he will weeding know for years. Why he did. It turned out. He wore a second watch because he said this on a podcast clover quinn years after gone from that he wore at because martha ford gave him that watch and he wore on her in every game but he never tell us that another thing outside aside manage had with hats he had like we traveled like eleven of twelve like every coach has their different things. Right i thought maybe that was a thing for christmas. So i asked him at You know and pam going after able or jokingly because those are his guys than before i was hoping it would go on all year long but it still might say it stopped because there was a preseason game so yeah what would you cross your general impression of how arthur smith runs thing. So i mean. I think you really covered it there..

"You know that type of wrote a rover that's gone. That's i think that's actually what i used on the last time we talked about this. But you know that rover you know you move him all around the place because you can do a couple of different things right. Maybe not one thing exceptionally well But you can use them in a lot of different ways. And i think dean will have some type of role in that aspect. Probably not a set position. But i think you'll have some type of role in that aspect where he'll just be moved around a lot and it'll be a couple guys at slop in and out and does not the worst thing in the world. No and i think your point about his draft position in the hype is so poignant. I it's i think that's a big part of it. The fact that he was taken in the second round. And i remember even the at the time the alcohol at we were hearing murmurs that he could have been. Potentially the falcons first round pick in two thousand eighteen. of course. i didn't turn out that way when they got him in. The second round of people like aw man like you noted that he's a steal this guy is gonna be a starter and lot people really big on his upside and i think this is where the hype is carried over into his career. And it's not fair to the player. Had they drafted someone like him in the fifth round. I feel like you'd be looking his career and saying oh yeah yeah we're we're getting decent value for him instead i think it's that the hype in the draft positions such a great point. All right to the rookies. The falcons drafted to this year. And this is. I think really interesting one. They clearly drafted for special teams and the other one were starting to hear that. He's showing up more and more camp talk about him. I in that is darren hall San diego state university. He is someone that Silver scouts at alchoholic eric robinson wrote a piece on him They really like what they see all the time. I think If i remember He's he's got a ton of experience Playing in college He is someone that fights through the receivers hands so he's really good at getting that ball out and his ball hawk. He's got the tag sort of as part of his career..

"I don't think it's necessary that we have a back at running back to a An accomplished receiver. Because that's something. It's not something that Arthur smith seemed to really care about through passionate about now granted. He had the best running back the game or one of the best running backs in game and that just wasn't part of what he did So i think that actually bolsters the case for listen and you know as a reminder to seven calm when he came out was not considered to be a great receiving back and between years one two he really improved that aspect of his game and in two thousand sixteen really had a phenomenal season in that regard. I'm not saying olson's gonna make the same kind of leap you know. That's really that would be way to behold but i think is maybe finally getting a look from this coaching staff. Ironically the win that didn't draft him because the one that did draft him never seem to know what to do with him and to be honest. i'd love to hear what erin has since he is from pitt and aaron is a guy i never understood why they drafted him in the first place. Angry it it. It didn't make sense but maybe this new coaching staff see something in him that Dan quinn and his guys. Didn't i mean being a pit guy. I actually thought he was the second best running back on that team that he was on. Know all this sort of combination with those two guys at pitt. And i thought darren hall was better. Nfl prospect but obviously olsen has managed to stick a lot longer in the nfl and their hair cut as an undrafted free agent. Two years ago. I don't think he's been back in the league I you know. I think what's going to be interesting with this running back battle and i feel like when you have a player like mike davis who. You're talking about not catching this offense not to running back lot. Mike davis is all the receiver. That the falcons needed that position. Like you know it would not be a shocker to me. If mike david has like sixty or seventy catches this year based off of his past production in that arena. And so you might see a stark change from what arthur says offenses traditionally been. Because you know. It's not to say the derrick henry was a poor pass catcher but obviously throwing the ball. Derrick henry is not as effective as handing the ball off to him. That's kind kinda. How tennessee used them But i think what's to be interesting about this running to battle is because you would think because of mike davis you would want a running back. That's a little bit more of a a complimentary guy so a guy like a cordeiro patterson. That's a little bit more juice. Jv and hawkins as a little bit more jews. Those would be the types of guys that you would traditionally look at and say okay get this big bowling ball and mike davis Who's the next best option to complement him. And those guys make a lot of sense. But i think would often becomes the case in the. Nfl is your value as a running back is not necessarily what you do as a runner. But what you do in the passing game and that's not exclusive to catching the football. It's about pass protection. You got these thirty million dollar quarterbacks. And you've got to protect those guys in these sort of six mam productions with the running back at six guy and if you have a liability and that's i think that's been a real issue for players like olsen and brian hill anita smith. He's last couple of years which was part of the reason. Why the falcons chose not to trade devante freeman midway through the twenty nine hundred season. Because they couldn't trust any of these other young running backs to be able to keep matt ryan upright. And so i think when you look at all listen comparative to players like patterson and hawkins even though olsen is unproven in that arena. Patterson really has no experience as a pass protecting running back. he's always been a wide receiver. He's always been a pass catcher when he's been utilized at the running back position and jv and hawkins you know as talented as explosive as he is at one hundred eighty three pounds and that usually is not a good recipe for success. If you're going to have to pick up players like brian burns and shack bear. You know blitzing or devon white blitzing up the middle. It's not necessarily that. You really want in that situation. So i think olsen given his size isn't giving his physicality given at least a little bit of experience doing that. I think does potentially give him a leg up so that when it does come time to to pull my day off the field. You're going to want a guy that at least when you decide to throw the ball in those instances can keep matt ryan cleaning. Keep him upright. So i didn't you know that's really where potentially could separate himself from the pack and and really be the rb to that they're looking at. Yeah no. I think that makes sense to me. The pass protection is very very important and it's often overlooked. I think by fans analysts. Who are you know. I i love. Jv and hawkins love his potential. You know. I think he's a guy that will get snaps and we'll have a role this year but i just don't know how big that role will be. We don't really know if he can pass protect. We believe he can catch the ball. You know don't is from nbc sports edge on here who loved jv. Hawkins basically told people not to worry about the fact he didn't have a lot of catches. It was more of a sort of function of the offense you know in high school played receiver and his his catch rate in college was like seventy or eighty percent so this is not a guy who has a problem catching the football..

"New downtown detention center and we had the sheriff on Darren hall to talk about that he's back on with that give us an update sheriff how are you Phil I you know I actually had to return to refocus on which crisis we're gonna talk about this I mean I know I know we got several we're gonna hit you with several so yeah this this thing with this guy with the guns I understand is an all clear now because you've been completely search this place yeah we we had spent you know a lot of our own eyes and ears and expertise on searching buildings I mean we're we're pretty good at that that's what you know that's what you do when you run jail facility so I think we we would say we would be decent at it on the front end but this sophistication and and what have been found and how this this individual has manipulated our facility what was was it a big deal different situation and so I reached out to the F. B. op open and close in the city and and others and so look out of what we have and you know in the country as it relates of tax receipts and so I was very honest more away with with what happened they were able to get what people think about this the customs and border patrol people appear the experts because they search vehicles and cars and walls and all sorts of things so that whole expertise came which I would've thought took to do that and and the F. B. I. themself obviously searching for everything from bombs to you know embassies in various angle the world so I think and they told me and I believe on it was but who's who of water search and and so they spent two weeks in various aspects doing everything in the world all sorts of fancy equipment and I'm I'm comfortable building is safe and secure it's just unfortunate that we had to go through that nearly expense and everything else so I ask you back when we talk about before do you have any reasonably this guy may be a member of like antique or something was he busy part of some organized group that was doing this or was it some lone guy doing it you know I think the answers are a little bit in the middle here here's what here's here's very active in what I would call the activist culture around the country and and called us from former even some you know my mom I thank you with even god Bernie Sanders and some issues and so I think there's a whole culture of this kind of anti government road criminal justice reform group that that that I know he's a part of a very active but also will say it to your S. he is a smart and sophisticated enough to not you also run his mouth the very public about it so I think his actual work was was very isolated to him and maybe a handful of others but but but his movement around the country I think there are you know he he clearly has ability to hit a button and communicate quickly read yet and so we're we're fearful of some copycat related issues around the country so looking at what he allegedly did and what he was doing allegedly with the guns what do you think what do you think I mean was it a massive prison break at some point or one your enemy this week be clear that this is there and opinion I know what he did but but I'm gonna give you my opinion as well I think he was up to I believe he was he was planning to be arrested himself in some large scale way in the community and I don't know what the crime was going to be but he knew the full story was only gonna howls very high risk people and the simplification of his work inside that building is not something I could just tell you today how you feel when you get in there run down the hallway and open the door I mean that's not what was going on he had planted in works in various ways and and have multiple brings to his disclosure it will you know if he was inside of the facility now he could share that information but it would not be easy it's not like you can go down and pull the door open I mean this would have been you know various stages to accomplish and so I believe he was going to be on five I believe he was going to have additional people helping them once you get out there and unfortunately I believe there was gonna be expensive also white and the reason I believe that is I wasn't just one loaded weapon and it wasn't just a loaded weapon that was extra no extra ammunition for each one of the weapons and tools and you just wouldn't do all of that to get out of the facility I mean getting out worker were used to people trying to do that but to kill people to do it is highly unusual so is he can now order the post bail what's what's the deal with this guy bandas two point five million I've been here thirty three years at the highest bond I remember I mean there there are mass murderers here in our system now who don't have the Taliban and thank god for that so the end of a two point five million dollar bond I do not think you'll make the bond and then stats on state charges and I expect and hope that they they will move to some federal charges he was a convicted felon was in possession of weapons obviously that that's an additional ground so I think the criminal nature is going to grow and I think I hope you feel accountable to the fullest extent he we were very very fortunate so ominous for two weeks before we were going to open the building when we discovered it all and he knew it was coming to an end you've been working over here in the building I'm not just saying this but it's almost movie issue I mean it had so many states they just do it and we were you know fortunately had to employees or didn't incredible job and and then that led us down this far out there we we could be talking about a really ugly situation and no reason to believe that there's anybody a mole inside the sheriff's office that was going to help him once he got in high well the thing that makes a comment about that which is important as we did you touch the building I'm talking about you know inside ownership keys and and so forth until November we called him a few weeks later he had been working in the building we have our own video for seven or eight months and we believe even seven or eight more months that he actually had access to the building because of this Mary with it so his plan was all concocted long before we ever got there and so if if anybody would've been a construction related person helping them and we will monitor enough of it to really exclude most of those people he had worked extensively on his own and had a few helpers but nothing of magnitude and there's no evidence and we don't believe that anybody inside that was open because we didn't arrive until November and you you've been there nearly a year at that time which leads me to my next issue and that sort of related you need to be sure this nice get guys not gonna get let out because of the corona viruses in I mean like I said I'm told people on him I'm trying to balance this issue but but you know in my thirty three years is one of the more evil people that I remember and I say that because you know there's a lot of people who are addicted to a lot of people are mentally ill there's issues out there that aren't excuses that they are contributing factors to what's going on but but this individual neither of those and and my word is evil and and had you know a lot of lives at stake that he put at risk and you don't committee if there's only a few cells left you need to be on one of okay so you but you are living some folks out because of this coronavirus has it hit the jail yet yes so you know one of the difficulties about that I mean I usually read a lot about the long term care facilities we know in a way that's kind of what we run it as you would you know the way the third certified it's a very difficult thing once it gets in the facility control because you get multiple people in small spaces but more difficult for me and us is is the booking environment you know you're booking an upwards of fifty people a day probably right now I'm in so you can't get that individual in the console the you know what to test your temperatures taking all the stuff you need to do and he or she may be bottoming out or or going home or whatever the situation is so just just kind of stopping the movement is what you can do and so that traffic of people is very difficult and I think right now could be wrong but work will probably about five people who were what I would say completely symptomatic that just tells us that they have all the symptoms it looks looks like corona but by the time you get the test and get the results and get everything going which we haven't yet to have a positive in all of those steps it's very very difficult to hang on to and so once we get those which we expect we need the ability to move people in the isolated area so you're not exposing nonstick people to the ones who have it and that's the reason you want to release some some some inmates on it you know we're in a better shape than most systems because we do have beds but we need to be able to separate it still Valentine has that December juror but the test results aren't back in there and has a positive test we don't how those together because you may not turn out to be positive if you turn out to be positive then there's five or six different staff and lord knows thirty or forty NIH but you may have had contact with exposed and so then we have to support all these folks out and so it could be very very difficult look at numbers this morning I think the writers Alan I have to learn forty people that are positive inside the jail and that's that's a very difficult number because you're having to separate them from everybody else but hopefully what we're trying to balance the public safety element and and the I'm as for the public health risk and and when we say release people either want people understand I when I when I say that a lot of these folks are furloughed or have court dates set up for a future date versus sitting there I'm not saying they're going to go out and and behave I hope they do but we're not just ignoring what you're done we're trying to find a balance between the White House on water waiting in our court date or trial or doing a work release assignment or can we send them home during this up you know at the Deming so I'm assuming that no visits to the jail right from from family and friends and things like that I know there's a slow volunteers we do video visitation I was on a phone call this morning for a long time we've been working on a charge for two years on this and and it's coming to it to be because of our new facility but here in just a few weeks we will be able to what what you would be able to visit from the internet and it's all secure so the the way it works but so you could do that even if I'm in jail from your home on the video situation right now the video visitation in most areas around the country you you would have to drop to the facility go in and get a boost and visit me on screen I'm upstairs or down the hall where the inmate in the cell block well I don't want you drive into the facility and exposing people and put yourself out there what I want to do is be allow you to visit we could control this we record all of this so it's secure but you would review the visit from your home or you wouldn't have to move that's probably a week or two from going live and I'll help us a lot all right so as we go through all of this and the people are worried now that you know you let people go and then you can arrest somebody for driving now we can put them in jail the governor's deal yesterday saying you know this is a state mortar yeah hi I've been trying to explain to folks and I think he should have explained it better it's not really you don't have to stay at home you just don't you should be congregating so I don't think that in you guys don't do much of this anyway but I mean the police are going to be out there just locking folks up for right now the road are they you know that they shouldn't be but but let you know it sounds kind of corny I know it does but but it is the least a person can do to help me out is to stay inside you know stay and I mean that stay in your yard or stay in your neighborhood.

"C. suppose accommodative on average score forty fifteen K. T. this is we go on I don't feel like laying more than three touchdowns on the road a lot of Georgia lap I am in the ground natural become a you know a trendy city to travel to and carrying out the the it's a pass for me yeah it's a tough one when you start seeing better than three touchdowns total fifty seven fifty seven and a half up to fifteen have some places of the total but a point a half swing there one place to the other so depending on what you want make sure you get the best number Pittsburgh there at home or do these guys he's still there but he's got to change things quickly now he brings back can you take it his quarterback French in mac pretty good receivers coming back defensively he's got some decent guys but were shot weaver he is out for the year that's a big loss for the defense there for pet only guy on the offense of line back is a good one and Jimmy Marcy but they lost running backs quadri Alice in as well as Darren hall those two guys twenty three hundred fifty seven yards and twenty one touchdowns gonna be tough to replace that do meanwhile for you know a Virginia team Bryce Perkins is ready to go is a little bit banged up but here's a kids' refer twenty five touchdowns nine picks rushed for another nine twenty three and nine touchdowns PK tired your apparent there in the backfield four linebackers are back including Jordan mac inside linebacker very solid and snout and Snyder is well eight defensive starters back for Bronco Mendenhall is doing a nice job there I think Virginia is the best team on the coastal side of the ACC I think they're better than Virginia Tech on offense and so that's why I like them to win that half but they'll have to take care of business add pigments and never easy to open up on the road it's a proud program I just don't know if it's going to be able to score points they usually play decent defense are tough in the trenches at home but they have trouble scoring at times and Virginia to me with Bryce Perkins a dual threat very consistent last year yeah this is one where the markets a sharper and and then then when I was fifteen twenty years ago I mean a team that won the coastal division your ago and they're at home they're defending division champs they beat Virginia on the road last year and yet the market has Virginia and the the the correct team favored in this game but I just I I think ten fifteen years ago it's for the least lane for a year I like what Virginia brings back I like the job rock on mine and I was doing there I like Bryce Perkins I like the defense a person now and again I think Pittsburgh's overrated but with that being said I don't feel like laying points on the road in week one of the conference matchup update on the ridge that you for the Toyota towns were were now thirty one twenty one Colorado up by ten per do leads Nevada thirty one seventeen wolf pack right now a second intent on the produce thirty eight a score any type of score there for Nevada could get them at least to the number with a field but more than likely with only ten minutes to go the trying hit paydirt keep an eye on that game single are and the Purdue offenses really slow down in the second half the play for Brad powers he got the number early Missouri going to Wyoming to take on Craig bowls pokes showing chambers his quarterback validate in the backfield three back on the offense of line review business kid one of the receivers defensively couple linebackers that are outstanding but Logan Wilson the best of the bunch no question Tyler hall Antonio whole pretty good in the secondary there for Wyoming is force for Mizzou barrio them it's the transfer from Clemson in Kelly Bryant Larry Rowntree the third this guy over twelve hundred yards eleven touchdowns on the ground Albert an outstanding tight and and they've got Jonathan Johnson as well pretty good receiver three back on the old line including left tackle use here to rant leading the way on defense cal Garrett he's a tackling machine a hundred twelve tackles last year mark is a seal anchor that secondary your take on Mizzou now the line sixteen and a half total fifty three and a half but bread you got this line really early yeah I got Missouri minus fourteen and guys if you listen to this fact met and then we want a little weird because the line's been out for several months it will be like this drug course this even though I am not brag or anything then I got back to me in a line that had a time and I have some stronger played as we move along here but and the current numbers just a lean for me here's what I saw I mean I mean I've seen Missouri be a great goalie I went Wonderland double digits let her know straight up nine into against the number average covered by fourteen points per game and check this out average score when Missouri a double digit favorite Missouri fifty five their opponents eighteen certainly burial was not afraid to run it up I like the personnel from Missouri I don't like the personal for Wyoming I know it's in Laramie seven thousand feet up any travel spot Burnett he's the team but I it's all about the Jimmy than Joe is there and how easily Missouri got a lot more will give me the tires nine eight minutes to go seven games to get in Oregon Auburn one of the big games of the day it'll be late afternoon aria Cristobal and Oregon right now catching for to Auburn at Jimmy's house in Arlington fifty six the total Auburn gonna go with bone X. over Joey Gatewood movie with low back in the backfield cam Morton as well Anthony Schwartz still listed as questionable with a hand injury we'll keep an eye on that for Auburn but all five on the offense of line back in a defensive line with co brown at Davidson that is outstanding for Oregon neighboring back all five on their offense of line a young man the dope and Gus Cumberland Cumberland or I should say both defense events they're going to need to get some pressure on the young freshman there they did lose Jaylen jokes but they have Troy die a hundred fifteen tackles his brother Travis died in the backfield over seven hundred yards or a combination with him and CJ for dell to help out Herbert as seventeen hundred fifty yards between those two in the backfield that's pretty solid jawan Johnson is listed as probable now the transfer from Penn state ten back on the offense for Oregon this could be a good game I I I I know it's SEC over pac twelve so you lean SEC but I'm gonna take.

K. T. Georgia twenty three hundred fifty sev seventeen hundred fifty yards fifteen twenty years twelve hundred yards seven hundred yards seven thousand feet nine eight minutes ten fifteen years forty fifteen K ten minutes

"We wanted to start the podcast off talking about some of the confirmed meetings that we know about. And obviously, you know, I've seen different viewpoints on this. You know, they meet with a lot of guys at the senior bowl because they have the time to do. So they don't have a set limit. But yesterday, you know, in the end the second floor of the hotel, you had guys pull players aside, sit down and really have in depth. Not formal interviews with them. But in depth interviews with them for twenty thirty minutes. It wasn't just a stop by ask. If you questions get out of the way, it was a sit down and really talk to that player. So these are the guys that we have that have done those. I guess you could call it a formal slash informal somewhere in between meeting North Dakota state running back. Bruce Anderson, Florida state defensive tackle DeMarcus Christmas, Georgia state wide receiver penny heart Arizona state defensive tackle rental Rin Old Dominion, university wide receiver. Travis Travis forum fold home fold ham. I don't know how you pronounce it. But ODU kid, and then we got NC state wide receiver Jacoby Myers. And then there is a mystery man that I watched. Scout. And Chris hall talk to yesterday for I swear was an hour and fifteen minutes that I couldn't find out who it was. I looked at the back of his head or at I it was a tiny receiver. And then it looked like it was Charles medic, Hugh. And then I got into an argument with Connor about the difference between two hundred and five pounds and two hundred sixty pounds. So we started guessing the weights of random people on the field during practices, and you were definitely wrong about every single one of them know that guy was like six foot two two ten. He just was Connor. And then I said, well, I'm five eleven and I'm one hundred ninety five pounds. Look at me look at him. I know he's further away. But I can guarantee you that man is over or over one hundred ninety five pounds. You said he was about one eighty you're wrong. Just admit you were wrong about that. I'm not gonna mitt that. Because we don't know because we were standing five hundred feet away. But we're we do know the measurements to these also. Five hundred feet away. We were like two hundred fifty is like it was less than a football field away. You thought it was two hundred fifty feet away. Yes, he minyard's. No to Rome fifty two hundred and fifty feet is like less than one hundred yards. Yes. We were under a hundred yards away from that where we not less than one hundred yards away from the side. We're gonna find a friend how close to read it at resting at the fifty yard line. And we were like fifty rose up in the bleachers. I'd say about a song around thirty forty yards. Yes. Not much at all. How how how how wide is a football field. Fifty eight yards or. Here young something yard. So here we go. So it's fifty three fifty three divided by two is what twenty one and a half. Yes. And then you got the sideline to the railing. That's probably another twenty one and a half. So there's forty yards. It was literally wasting time. Let's go over the measurements of the guys that we know that the Cowboys have met with that. We know these are official measurements. Because they weighed in at the senior bowl. So you're not guessing on these Bruce Anderson weighed in at a thick five one one two two own nine really thick in the lower half powerful in the upper half. He did suffer an injury today are sorry yesterday in the practices that we weren't able to attend. So he did not practice today. They they called up. The pit running back wasn't Darren Hall. Darren Hall from Pitt another big guy take his place. So Bruce Anderson suffered some kind of an injury. They didn't really tell us much about it yet. I'm sure that's something. We'll find out a bit later. He's a guy that the Cowboys didn't meet with so good size to him underutilized receiver at North Dakota state..

"That I've been getting into quite a bit recently asked him about that house off seasons going if he's feeling good. He just he just avoided arbitration with the giants, obviously. As you as we did report here. So we'll talk to Wilson. He's feeling this off season then at seven thirty Kurt young is going to hop on with us. Obviously worked a lot with Derek Holland and hall inside the one year seven million dollar deal, which is fantastic. I like Darren Hall and a lot of thought he was good piece. The bullpen. Someone talked to create young about that. Also wanna ask him about the use of openers this year because that's been the topic of conversation around here. Exactly, what is that gonna look like how is that going to work? We saw it a few times last year. I mean, I think most notably was Sergio Romo Tampa as the open. I think that was most the most notable. Appearance for an operator that we talked about a lot being that he was an ex giant as well. So we'll talk to Kurt about that. See exactly what's going on in his mind for the off season. Because the giants did hire a very young mind Matt Daniels, he's pitching analyst. And he's from Dr line baseball's that right f p drive line. I'm not so familiar with Dr line. But I know it's an analytical based company that, you know, dives into pitching, and hitting all the numbers all the analytics that baseball, obviously is adopting for the last few years, Dr baseball this very, I don't wanna say trendy. But it kinda is trendy way of developing pitchers where you're you're trying to put them in the best place possible. To throw the hardest. Most philosophy high spin rate what you've been hearing a lot in the analytics analytical department, so yeah, it's about that. You been seeing results? I mean Trevor Bowers a big guy coming out of that program. You get a lot of guys go in there throwing like eighty eight meeting college and they come out throwing ninety five. So. Whatever they're doing. I'm just not familiar with Dr line, but they got the new cat Matt Daniels. What does he he's in his mid twenties? Rank he's a young mind younger did see I liked it. I like the trend. Baseball's going actually a lot of a lot of sports are doing that. You're noticing that in the NFL to Matlock Fluor. Sean McVeigh a hand younger head coaches on their late thirties early or mid thirties. Getting jobs, the young minds somebody that you can invest in and depend on for the next decade or so, but but I like, listen, I know are frustrated everybody wants a big splash a big move Derrick hall and didn't really move. The needle forehand was on with Murph and MAC a couple of days ago talking about there's going to be moved. It's going to be that's going to happen here. We're going to get somebody signed. All right. It was Derek hallway. Okay. Okay. It's not. It's exactly what you wanted. But still we really have to understand that. We don't know what the direction is going to be just yet. You gotta imagine four Han took this job. And just imagine a giant jigsaw puzzle on his desk, and he's got to put all that together. It's gonna take time. I didn't expect anything to happen. This off season. I didn't when they ended the year last year. They almost got one hundred losses. I say there's gonna take some time to fix this. Listen to save way worked for a very long time. It did. But as I was talking with friends last night, as it also depleted the form system you had to rebuild all that Franson pointed this out last night, and he's absolutely right. Fixing. The major league roster is much easier. Then fixing what's going on in the minors? Which is depleted. It's like a graveyard took a bone yard down there. So just imagine four Hawn with the big giant jigsaw puzzle on his desk, you got all these pieces together. This is going to be a slow burn. Isn't it take a long time to figure this out? I think he's handcuffed in certain situations. Moneywise financially certain contracts, I eight thirty hang Schulman's gonna hop on. We'll talk to him about really what he thinks the direction is what I really would like to stress giants fans need to be patient be patient, and Derek hauling doesn't move the needle. But bringing one superstar into this town is not gonna do a damn thing for this team. This is not so be prepared for this year, possibly twenty twenty to be not a rebuild. And I I don't even wanna use the word retool. It's just it's far Hong we just got to figure out. What is and I think as the season unfolds as we get into April may and June. And then even before the deadline. We'll see what happened was mad bomb because that's where I think he's going to get dealt. This is also something Kevin has pointed out, which makes perfect sense. I mean, mad bum is a postseason pitcher. So you get to the deadline in July, and you have some teams that are in contention. And they need a rockstar for the postseason. Maybe they're a little desperate give up a little bit more than they should have for Madison Bumgarner, I can see that happening. I don't see him being moved before April though. I don't I don't see a lot of things happening before April. I've really don't giants fans are white knuckling it through the winter listening. You gotta relax a little bit. You just gotta relax. This is gonna take such a long time. He's got to figure out all these different avenues and pieces. This is a labyrinth, and he's got an advocate through it. Let's be patient. You know, I think giants fans should work on their oracle park exercises. And what I mean by that. What is that just work on sane oracle park? Oracle oracle or apart hard oracle park. Yeah. Park. How many times we're going to say AT and T million times? I know it's going to have to get him out south. So we know fans are definitely going to mess up. It's nothing because it already messed up. I think twice today talking about it. I called the. AT and T on accident. So just work on your exercises. And we'll work with you oracle park. Oracle just keep saying until really good just keep saying work apart oracle park. Yeah. Giants win at oracle park. Giants hosting the Rockies oracle. I'm with you reckon on your exercises. I like it here. Here's I don't care what they call the place. I don't care because the bottom line is. I will be there in the bleachers. Drinking beer eating. Brought with the rest of you. I don't care what they call the field. Doesn't matter to me or co AT and T SBC packbell. That's fine. We've gone through a plethora of names as it is. There was some people that are really freaking out about that though. All calls, Oakland, Oracle's warriors. Well, it's not chase centers warriors. This is the way it's going to be. I have no problem with it. I have no issue with it at all. I really really don't I ate away KB number. I would like to know if somebody still has a problem with oracle park. I wanna know if anyone's still irritated about that. That's what's irritating, or is that just the cherry on top. And the fact that the giants really haven't done much, and you expected them to do a lot. It's it's silly to me sometimes will Smith's gonna join us in a couple of minutes time now for play of the day. Sponsored by the United Airlines rock and roll half. "Big kid, probably the best natural thrower of any other quarterbacks here to me if he comes down here, and they had a it was a long night of meetings last night. A lot of these NFL teams met with these players long into the night last night to me, Cornelius if he went into interviews and show that he's got what it takes mentally to be a backup quarterback. I think he's gonna make it. I think he could get. Drafted. I I was pretty pressed with what he showed physically. And again, this guy was only a one year starter. He was backing up. Mason Rudolph throughout the course of his career. Let's get then to the running back position where there's some some other notable names here on the east. You got tied Johnson. The speed kid from Maryland, Marcus young from UMass Jordan hilas from Virginia. Daryl will fork the army full-back, they call him the Sherman tank. I called a couple of his games this year. He's just got a hilarious body type. He's like have nine to thirty five me. And he's like a dump truck out there. You got the kid from Nebraska, the kid for Mellish shoe? And then Darren Hall junior from Pitt. It's interesting because there was clearly a drop off. I thought at running back at LSU. I mean, you had four net you had guys. And then you know, the kid this year. It was just kind of. Okay. Yeah. Percent doesn't allow you in any physical way. From like a dynamic athletic ability standpoint, he's not overly powerful. He does have some tower. But he's more of that backup running back. I think the role that he played throughout the course of most of his career at LSU is really the role that will play here in the NFL. I think he could be a nice backup. He's a really good special teamer. He's a really good blocker. And pass protection. Does a lot of the little things while he's definitely a dirty work kind of player to me the three guys that stand out from this group. Overall would be percent the guy my number one guy down here is divine a zippo from from Nebraska. I mean, another kid who's got definite power. He played in the two thirties throughout the course of his career. I was told that he came down here in the low to twenties. So I by fischel, heightened weights haven't come down. I just I spoke with somebody yesterday who said he came here in in the low to twenty s so zig Bo as a guy I'm excited to see continue to practice here, you typically don't see much from running backs during all star game weeks to practice that you really have to wait until the game to see what they can do in live contact drills. But zig bows guides me if there's anybody that could be starter at this game. I think it's him and I would throw tie Johnson from Maryland in there as well. You mentioned he's got that speed to burn. He was a kick returner at the college level. He showed the ability to work in pass protection as well. To me. I think you can you can carve out a role for a guy like that in the league. So let's get to wide receiver. And there's a lot of them on the east got DeMarcus lodge for Mississippi State, Terry Godwin from Georgia Terry right from Purdue Jamal Custos from Syracuse Ryan Davis from Auburn more. Most notably. We'll we'll split up east and west for wide receivers since there's so many of them most notably Jesper horse dead from the undefeated, Princeton Tigers total stud. I will say know. I don't I don't know how he did yesterday. Or what you think of him?.

"I could probably say the same about Brett Rippin from Boise state. I like a lot of what this could put on film. He he's a smart player. Good touch. Good accuracy. Both these guys know how to work from under center coming from pro-style offenses. I like both guys a lot and they neither of the really stood out yesterday. And that's usually what you see early on in all star game weeks. Ross's, you know, these guys are working with receivers for the first time. So timing might be off as guys just get adjusted. Both of them had some bad misses yesterday. But I'm not gonna hold that against it. Either. These guys I'm a big fan of both eastern stick and Brett rip and the other guy that really stands out to me and a guy that I watched over the weekend for the first time is Cornelio from Oklahoma state. Big kid, probably the best natural thrower of any other quarterbacks here to me if he comes down here. And they had a it was a long night of meetings last night.
