NBA championship odds: Lakers still lead pack despite quiet trade deadline; Clippers improve chances

"Did you make of the two teams? How do you feel about them currently? Wow Oh well I I I I stand by. I think the clippers have long time then the favorites. I think the way that the Lakers have played This season and how they've consistently consistently performed Dwight Howard has been a pleasant surprise. I think Kyle Kuzma with the injury to start off the season. He he hasn't really gun the things that they would like. These are very good contributor. But I think that the clippers with all the management and and Paul George Missing Time and some Injuries and you look at where they are there. Second Right now and for me. I think that the clippers are the best team right are they. Are the team that come at at the end of the day you're going to have to go through in order to try and win a championship. Even though the Lakers have the best record and it looks like the Lakers are GonNa have home court At at this point in time if it were to start today I still feel like you know the clippers. The team that you're GONNA have to be in order to win the whole thing Richard. How all surprising that? The rockets decided to go full monty. There Bison not only are we gonNA run small lineups. We won't even carry a gun on the roster who would allow us to run any sort of other type lineups. Well it's a at this point in time. If you look at Dantonio you look at Dell Maury winter. We've we've had they not gone all in on whatever they believe right. What do they have to lose? They've been criticized up and down and make pulled off some pretty impressive trade getting in Chris. Paul getting in Russell Westbrook. They've done some really really good things to pair With with James Harden James Harden continuingly improved his offense of game. But it's like I'm not surprised anymore. It's like they look at their team. And they're like the way we're structured right now. We're probably up for a first or second round loss What can we do to really shocked at? How can we try and change things up? And they made them moved. ooh They believed that adding Covington and giving up Cappella and they just WanNa go all small ball kind of like what you would see from the Golden State Warriors for for a time So I'm not surprised by it. I think that you know everyone out. There is fighting for their job. I think Daryl Morey I think I think You look at Dan Tony think these guys are low key fighting for their jobs so if they know that first or second round loss possibly could be the end to their tenure. So why not try and go all whatever you believe. Richard Jefferson hanging out with this year. Makes you check them out today. Five o'clock Indiana Toronto. ESPN mean is also in studio with us as well by the way. You're listening to Los Angeles. So Richard Let me ask you this about what Brian said yesterday specifically in regards to that game like he he kind of talked about their lack of focus on defense. Where do you think the Lakers can get better on defense? Can they do it. Internally you have again you have some talented players and I. I always proceed very cautiously when you have a game like that and everyone wants to run and talk about it and break it down like look Russell. Westbrook had a great great game. Houston shot the ball extremely well if you send shot the ball like that against anybody on any given night. They're going to win that game Even Dan Tony said in his interview. He's like hey I understand what we're doing is different It all has to do with whether or not these guys will buy in and tonight was a big step that they would have gone out and got him blasted in a D had forty five right an twenty six against them. Everybody in that Houston Rocket Locker. Room would be questioning. What's what's going on? They would be getting murdered by the media. It would be going crazy but they were fortunate to get that win in La which very hard place to play and now. Everyone's questioning the Lakers. Well look I believe this. I believe that the Lakers are great regular season team. I think that last night they should've stayed with the White Howard. You can't Anthony Davis if there's a difference between being like having your numbers be dominant and actually being dominant and physically dominant. Anthony Davis just. Wasn't that Anthony. Davis Davis is not an again. I hate to talk about. What player isn't because he is a million great in every anybody would want them on their team but he's not a guy that just going to low post blocks doc band you up and then go and shoot a five-foot Hook shot and don't because he worked position that's why he runs the floor so well so he can get that early early post up in a great position and it's harder to guard but in the postseason when it becomes half court basketball? That's what the Houston Rockets are depending on when it becomes a half half halfcourt basketball game and they can spread it out and just have Russell James go to work and kick it out to more shooters so everyone had their theory. It's just a matter of WHO's going to be able to impose their will Richard One of the things that That's happening for the Lakers. This year is that when Lebron plays the offense is is tremendous right there. They're one of the best offensive teams out there. But when he doesn't play when he's not on the floor I should say that offense becomes very anemic even when Anthony Davis was an. MVP candidate in his own right is on the floor. And it reminded me of the years in In Cleveland the three years that Love Irving and and Lebron were together. When Lebron didn't play that team wasn't just not a great team not wasn't just a below five hundred they were awful and given that you've been on the inside you've been on a Lebron James Team? Can you explain to me how that is. How talented players? Once you remove this one guy turned into a bad basketball team. I think it's it's style of play. It's continuity I think that's something that it's it's weird because Lebron James is always you typically been healthy. She's always played in seventy five or more games except for last year due to the groin injury. So it's like this is the guy that each up eighty ninety percent of like court time. So you're what what you're really referencing is like non-core time and even then comes the postseason. This is a man that's going to go from playing thirty seven minutes a night thirty eight. He's going to go up to like forty three forty four minutes a night. 'cause there's no bags and there's no practices for most of his energies just using games. So what you're really talking about is how do you play Good Basketball for eight to ten minutes in it for twelve minutes and that can be tough to find that continuity. It's tough because it's such a small sample size right and yes it's a small. It's a large sample size is when you look at how often it happens. But it's very very difficult for coaches to be like how we're GONNA play for this ten to twelve minutes when the broncos out of the game because when he's in the game everything's everything's perfect. Everything's runs great room and I think that's the challenge. The coaches have a lot of people are talking about Darren. Collison coming in and then interrogating him bats. That's the challenge and it's and it's been a long time. The bron James Challenge is how do we play that 'cause they had with Kyrie Kyrie is a great score but it's like when Bronco go out of the game game that was an opportunity for Kyrie to really explore and really play his game and get his rhythm will Kyrie's rhythm might not necessarily be the rhythm for the the other guys on the court and I thought knock on Kyrie. If just like broad had the ball handed Kyrie was basically a two guard. Then Kai Bronco Ga.. The game in Cairo would become the point guard. But this was an opportunity to get going scoring and maybe throw the ball into Kevin Love. which when you had the surrounding guys there wasn't an offense? There wasn't a continuity beauty for us to play through so there's good still Lebron and there's challenges to Lebron. I wouldn't even call that bad but I think this final stretch is going to be key but understand. He's going to play more minutes in the postseason. So you can't really say like hey we need to figure out what we're GONNA do when he's out of the game because that's just realistically he's going to be in the game Ormeau. Richard Jefferson with this year on the Sodano show on ESPN. This actually leads perfectly into my next question. This is good chemistry right here. These three guys. So Rondo they have Rondo. Problem is a net negative player. He's been that for seven seasons now but to a means point it falls off a cliff. He's usually usually the guy that has to lead that second unit. I don't think they can afford to play him anymore. To be honest with you what do you do if you do agree with me. What do you do with Ronda how do you how do you manage? Rondo at this point Well I I think there's there's two components there's an on the court and then there's a locker room right. There's a locker component and it's like a like say what you want about Rondo. He's a very dynamic guy on and off the court so you WanNa make sure that Rondo understands what your is your team goals are. I think Rondo is in a very different space. And he was years and years ago whether it was in Dallas when I played with them or leaving Boston I think Rondos one of those guys that in this moment right here they need to find. I I think that's Darren Collison being. It's so big the need to find one more guy that can compliment that second unit And so yes do but you gotta look at what can you do. He's a net negative guy adding Rondo very very rare. But no one really questions Kenney still play is he's still a contributor when you're just looking at the second unit and when I tell you that the six years prior that's one thing this year I I mentioned it early.

"Help them tell their stories along the way our guest. This week is Matt Thomas. He's a guard or forward. He's a professional shooter. Really right for for the Toronto Raptors and I got to know him actually three thirteen burger. Who just pulled off a massive upset of Utah State coaching? UNLV TJ's also from Wisconsin. And of course course now the head coach of UNLV but back then was he was the assistant coach of Iowa State. And he's like man. Do you know that Thomas Store is like no. It's an amazing mazing story. I'll I'll let matt tell some of it For those of you who haven't read. I did a piece on it when I was at. CBS Matt was a kid grew up in kind of hardscrabble Wisconsin already hardscrabble whatever dad had some issues parents got divorced when he's nine dad had drug and alcohol addiction issues in and Is that killed himself. He's eleven years old when his dad was eleven. When Matt was eleven years old and I kind of did the village of his hometown on raised him and he became a two time all state player? They won State Championship. Magnificent high school career goes Iowa state to play for Fred Hoiberg and really we kinda struggled. You know couldn't couldn't get minutes Didn't seem like he had an advocate. And even though you'd think a guy that shoots that wells that smart in that tough. You almost went to play for Tony Bennett at Virginia. Number Tony Bennett. Of course Grew up in the state of Wisconsin head coach. UW Green Bay. So there's some connection there anyway thought about transferring transferring and Boy He's just an amazing story an amazing guy and making it from Iowa state going through Spain playing the for two years and now signing a three year deal with Toronto Raptors. He joins us on the elbow. Podcast let me give you a couple of NBA thoughts. Coming off of Christmas break or the Christmas Christmas Day Games. Don't break you see reports now about agent or ask you say Darren Collison is like come out of retirement. I'd heard that as well from a lot of people saying DC's working out and interesting guy was a tremendous player at UCLA. And he he He had a really good NBA career and has made himself into a solid. Starting Point Guard. And you know it just He's Jehovah's Witness. His family and religious issues made him want to retire early even though he had an offer to play for the for the Lakers with the Brian. James Well Lakers still need a point guard in the clippers. Need a point guard and Darren. Collison would like to play in the city of Los Angeles. I think it's fascinating now. Maybe even more interesting is what the Lakers would have to do. Would they just cut boogie. Cousins and their they'd have the roster spot although that boogie cousins roster spot is probably reserved for Andre. So then you have one more. Ross how do you create the other Ostra spot it clean cook or is it Rondo. And and the fascinating thing with Rondo would be you know many in L. A. of criticized. Why are you playing Rondo so much? What about Caruso and obviously if you go back to the Christmas Day Game Caruso so didn't really look like he was ready for that level of NBA? A little too has didn't even look at the basket. I think I just think it's me thinking out loud. I almost think that if the Lakers are going to make that change they probably make that change and cut Rondo or trey giveaway Rondo to somebody else else which is fascinating to go from a guy who's a starting point guard of the Lakers to being cut but I I think part of that is. There is the belief the belief that Rondo just at this point in his career personality. Wise can't take Subservient role some guys can go from starter to five minute Game Guy Way. The towel be the world's greatest teammate. Maybe it's because of ego. Maybe just because of how he's wired. I don't know my feeling in watching is is that One of the reasons that Rondo has been in and big. Instances is Frank Vogel. I don't think he's afraid of him. I think he's just trying to figure out out. Can he win with win. Big With Rondo and I think the answer is no no matter. What he's shooting from? Three Rondo can't make big shots. He doesn't he's never really been a great defender he's just gotten steals and he doesn't finish well at the rim at all in the last five years. This is my kind of semi bold prediction addiction. If the Lakers get their and Carlson I would think they're going to cut regime Rhonda. Let's work our way to the college game for gets you to Matt Thomas Up in the College Game Look I. I do think we're starting to get some clarity on teams do I think. There's an incredible amount of parody course. That's why there's been so many number one team in the country but I I think Israel you know In terms of their depth of talent their culture program their ability ability to score I think Gonzaga's real and their number one the country. They do have one loss in the season obviously That loss was to Michigan and they got they got blown out and and didn't play well and look. I don't think I don't know if Michigan's that Gr as good as they played that night you know remember in that game machines ends up. Twelve of of twenty three from three point range Isaiah livers just lights them up so he ever stretch four and killing until he played in that game. And my I guess Gonzaga is that Ryan woolridge and Adleman Gilder who are two tremendous players is transfers and like Gillers. There's a bucket getter. I don't know how he'll play against Saint Mary's in big big big games. Same woolridge like he's played. None of these woolridge hasn't isn't played at this level and in super important games in March. How those guys react? So I I do kind of fear that when with their guards and they didn't play okay. Well in that game against that level of competitiveness but I I think in terms of being there for the end of the year they just have so much talent so much skill. I I can't see Gonzaga going away. I think Duke's really good I do and I know they lost at home to Stephen F.. Austin and Trade Jones has been hurt some but it's a good overall team you can't compare it to previous duke teams because they don't have to play previous two teams right. You just had to play this year's teams and Carolina Obviously Down Virginia obviously down. I think Louisville's really good mother. We speak of Louisville number my number one team in the country and something than maybe fresh Kimble's at the bad practice player. Maybe he was a little bit thick. Maybe just took them. I don't know but he's falling back into favour got hurt the end of Kentucky. Okay game but he's the type of really good college guard leader that this team needs while they're freshman kinda come of age I still think level level is an elite team. I think Kentucky's only Kansas team. You Know Kansas Bill has gone to four out one in and I. I do think that he should at least tinker in conference play with a super small lineup. Leaving play in Soviet issues at the five maybe And and really opening up the floor but they have a big man that How many big guys are there in college basketball? Let alone a guy with that much experience. They have a tremendous point guard. Great coaching staff and awesome awesome culture of those four teams. I'd be stunned to aren't in the final four. Hey at one thing. I always thought I'd do on this on on. This pod is share with you a fun story some fun. Something funny and I don't know if I've heard this one before my man Gary Bell. Listen to this pod. He's a former teammate. Notre Dame and so here's my here's my story of the POD so Gary Bells from Joliet Illinois. He was outspoken. Bokan loquacious you super super funny and one of my favorite stories is when I was at Notre Dame during Christmas break like I think many many schools are still on break. And you're downloading. Listen to this pod summer back in session instead of having the dining hall and now everybody has training table. We used to get money you for breakfast and lunch and then dinner. We pick a restaurant and they'd pick our meal for us so there was no money limit and I never get this one. I went to outback outback. STEAKHOUSE GRAPE ROAD MILWAUKEE INDIANA. The way would work as I said was we would have our our entire meal pre-ordered APP salad and maybe some soup entree desert. We had no say in the matter. None and what ended up happening. Was We walk. Second Outback Steakhouse we sit down. There's so many there's no nothing else and we're all talking while drinking our drinks and they're starting to bring out all the appetizer Eden and g bell calls over the later later and say man we all working for for dinner night. He's like you know stakes. You actually can pick which way you want cooked. Well we got for appetizers. He tells us you know you've got Calamar. You Got Fries you got big data get this blooming onion. What we are working for dessert? Brownies Ala mode. So I'm Angie Bells from Joliet Illinois and he. He's he's funny but I don't think this is intentionally funniest funniest one of my favorite stories. He said Allah what.

"Is nick. Shot is that we wanted to show at scale so ruling right now if you had to pick one team today coming coming out of the Eastwood team. Up Milwaukee today perk. I'm all over the aboard but I'm picking the Celtics today but might be different tomorrow. I'm all over the boy to win the east. We know he could come out to go to the finals. Yeah you're not taking gawky or Sandra. I'm right now. I'm not taking Milwaukee. Wow Okay I I think I would take. I would take the box pretty. Yeah Pretty Pretty. Obviously I think all right I mean right now. I'm rolling with scale. I'm I'm telling the Celtics. The underrated like there is underrated to me like it. I've seen it. Although they play the just the Hornets unlike man no Jalen Emma Brownlow night knicks. Guy Looks they still right on. The Internet key. wrote in Canada has six tonight by the way. How's he tried at Ed? Another guy another team that. I'm like really intrigued by Toronto. I got their their DNA. As we talked about Miami and the culture we gotTA start talking about Toronto and their culture. It's for real. They're can we give you more credit though. Like atvs to Kinda Larry as a leader like all these guys man do do. Though he slept on our we slept on Kalari couple years ago. I mean I personally and I ain't never gonNA get pass abroad all this stuff man now. He the player he impacts winning. He he came into Boston. Him and Fred Ma'am please destroy. It wasn't even close. They came for a fight in cells showed up for a party and it was completely different. I will I didn't I didn't expect you guys to go there so that is a little bit. I mean we're out of time for today but though that's what we have to get into in the future because as I think you know the fact that your head almost colors like we you know because I hope I'm not not I didn't didn't I will not do that but I'm I'm I'm surprised that like you would still you would bet on those guys and I like Boston's not nothing against Boston. But I just like. How do you go against us in Milwaukee around? I know the regular season questions are there. But I don't know I don't know and I think I think I think philly might be my number two as they've looked. I think I would say the other number two. Maybe Boston's three three but the good thing is we'll be. I'll be proven right or wrong once we get to Once we get the main June so We'll be looking for that. Let's do this glee run out of time for today but we do WanNa get in our best bet to the night. I'll read off the game. See or Scout. Who Did you win? I forget I one. I picked Utah over Detroit. Utah the Clippers over Pistons today. So you're okay so they gotta win by at least thirteen. Twelve and a half point spread clippers at home. Smashed the The Pistons Perky want me to read off the rest of the line for you. I'm looking at right now. I'll I'll go because I think I have mine too. I'll Our I'll let her look. I'M GONNA GO INDIANA. I think Indiana there are one and a half point favorite at home against nuggets. I think they beat the nuggets. At home I mean the teams that could team at home. They're solid I think they're front court will matchup against Yokich GimMe Gimme the pacers minus four and a half against the nuggets at home. ooh That's a solid pink Cerruti but the nuggets after coming off a blow out against the rock. Argonne think I liked this Indiana team man. I think they match up well with Denver on the road I I I I feel good about nate McMillan in the squad. No now a I'm taking the thunder at the spurs getting to get to on the road in San Antonio. That's probably a good one Miss Battle of the sixth and Seventh Abbott seed in the Western Conference. We'll see if it's funny we wrote off the Spurs and now they're back in the eight C and they'll probably end up making the playoffs or what their twenty third straight years. So what's out. They're.

"And I want to ask you. I mean there are any you you obviously. He was always great players like him a lot and he understood kind of players in a way that was really beneficial to the league. So open up to you if you have any sort of stories stories about About about David Stern your time as a player yeah. It's interesting because I run across Adam silver all the time and Adam so positive. Hey Hey scowl how you doing good. I see him talk to players. You guys are so great. Keep it up all those type of things and Adam. Silver has his his finger on the pulse of the NBA. But here's my interaction with David Stern. Earn so I'm like in my third year and with the New Jersey Nets and I come across David and I come into the league. I haven't made shots at you know. I'm fine but I'm not you know. Blazing it up or anything like that on the offensive in any way. I had a stretch where I was making some three pointers David. Just he walked. He's walking by I say. Hey David how're you doing. He Goes Hey. Scout personally calls misguided Brian Ross calibrating or anything has a scale this you got to be more consistent. Would you jump shot. I mean team. That is the name of the game. And once you figure out how to be consistent with your shooting and I know you shooting the ball a lot better of late then then that's when you start becoming a well known name and then he just kept walking like I was like. How do you know my game? You have four hundred other our people to worry about all these other stars. I'm eight nine man on a couple of years into the League and somehow some way you yeah no my game and what I need to do and how. I'm trending the right direction of late. And he talked about how I need to be successful as a person you know so do whatever I can grow my brand or whatever it may be you're just become more efficient NBA player. I just thought that was so unique because of the things that David Stern Karen would have to worry about in his life where does eight men on teams playing. Come into play there in not not just me like any all these guys out. There I stinky had such a pulse on the NBA on on the players on what they're good at and and and it's one of those things I would have never thought that I I think my mom Mike would know that I'm watching every game. You know so yeah. It's just I thought that was really interesting and you talked to other players who have been in some of the meetings things. He is a ruthless businessman. But he but the what he's done on. You cannot argue you. How grown the league and you hear a lot oughta negative stories during the lockout and stuff like that to how Tuffy was and how he was like you can't talk? I built this business which is in. which is I think exactly sort of the way you have to be to take the NBA? From what did you say. One hundred and fifty million. Yeah Year two billion over five million admire David for one that interaction I had with him but outside of that just what he was able to do from the NBA standpoint. I know you can look to imagine and bird or Jordan or whatever you want to execute a game plan. Yeah I think that's you know it is interesting at. That's a great story by the way and and the other thing is just kind of it rings clear what most people say about him is that like He. Just you know he'd loved the game and he he was sort of unabashedly himself himself all the time and he wasn't afraid to have an opinion he wasn't afraid to tell you that he thought you were wrong. He wasn't afraid to try different things and new things and try to grow and You know no and I think he was pretty blunt about a lot of that stuff which is which is. Obviously you know people are going to dislike you but that's sometimes the way You need to do to get things done. And he wasn't afraid to to to to you know pave the way to get stuff done to change the way the League was because he knew it wasn't going the right direction and had so much potential. And you bring up all right so there were magic and bird in the eighties. You know. Obviously he had Jordan in the nineties and then into Lebron like yeah it is. It's a star League. That's first and foremost always what it's going to be. But before that they hadn't done a great job of marketing their stars and it was his leadership and ideas and and sort of him paving the way for basically making magic bird the face of the league and then making Jordan the base of the League and then trying to art. Hey let's let's try to get this Dream Team thing going together in the early nineties to try to make the game more global. Let's get our MBA guys on the global scene that way you know we could open up markets in China and there are plenty of foreign orne NBA Non Non American Mba players. Who will say that? Yeah you know. We grew up watching Michael Jordan or Larry Bird and that sort of made me WanNa play basketball. The ball where they probably wouldn't have done that. If it wasn't for the globalization game and a lot of that is owed to David Stearns. You've got guys like Yao. Ming coming into the League of guys like Modern Gino. Boy Tony Parker and all these other different guys from all over the world from so many countries I mean. It's it's amazing you know 'cause we look at it like you know in the in in in baseball you know. It's mostly guys from the states or from Latin America that that play or even Japan. But it's not a it's not necessarily a global game and football American. Football we know is not a global game. It's really popular in the United States. And it's really just basketball. The bond soccer that are the two sports people play globally and it wasn't always that way in David. Stern is you know the the the League and the sport owns Osima used Eddie gratitude for basically taking those star players in May and marking them to the world and showing them a game that that now everyone is sort of come to love so we obviously know when you're dealing with People who do this. It's not it's not like how we look at it now. It's like Oh yeah of course you WanNa make it global so you can make all this money and we WANNA grow. It's not you're going against the trends here. Everyone's like no way. European players will never play in the NBA. No Way will never have a China market. They'll never never liked basketball. I mean so. It's like he has to go against the trends and say this is what we're doing and that's for anybody that's in any type of business or or Lina coaching with you. Know thinking about Dantonio your and like all the people who have gone against the grain in such a public manner and deal with the criticism of all that yet yet still wholeheartedly believe in in what needs to be done and being and making making sure it does happen. That's we all can sit here like like you said I thought out your your note on the on. The rundown was great. We act like the eighties. Where some of the greatest time ever it was not like if you really think about the game mm-hmm and you might like the basketball but as far as the popularity a lot of that has grown because of the individual and how they decide to market it and because it's a worldwide cessation Dream Team in ninety two? There's a lot of things that come into play there. But I said David Stern at one point where he standing up on an island on his own or or. He's trying to convince other people to do it. There was a point where he was going against the grain which I commend people that do that and and achieve a tremendous amount of success. Because of uh-huh yeah and you know I will close on this. I think the lasting legacy of a guy like David Stern is. You know we talked about this and it's amazing is that maybe the future of the NBA. are two different European players now like Jaanus and Luca dodgers appear to be the future of the League and you know without David Stern who knows if that ever happens and these are two of the most entertaining and best great dudes entertaining guys and they're going to be carrying the NBA into the future and make it all the more global than it is. Now which even seems hard to I believe but all that is really due to a guy like David Stern so no our thoughts and prayers are with his family. May recipes and You know I think as as we said before it's is legacy Always be lived on a league that.

Matt Barnes: trade rumors are a 'monster'

"Forget the trade rumors of crate monster. Okay. You're on a team or this happened. You guys got off a plane. No, we had a crazy situation when I was with the clippers. I wanna say it was two thousand fourteen and we were flying to Memphis. The day of the trade deadline won't say we sat on the runway for over two and a half hours while we're on Twitter at the time Antoine. Jamison got traded Byron Mullins got. So these guys are getting off the plane on LAX runway because they had been traded in the final trae that was supposed to go down with myself and Darren collison for Iman Shumpert in Raymond Felton. So we're sitting there just uncomfortable. Awkward the whole plane of silent. Everyone's kind on their phones. Like bumping each. I like, oh, David Thuan. Just got traded. Molly got traded. Oh, damn. They're talking about you. And you and call us in our. Are gonna get traded to the Knicks. So for people to say that, you know, they're professionals you just need to wait until you're in that situation. You never know how you're gonna react. And I want to say I was probably twenty nine or thirty at the time maybe a little bit older. And it still shook me, you know, what I mean? So these kids are in their early twenties playing for the Lakers playing with LeBron. So it's hard to really say, you're should be a pro and that shouldn't affect you. Because it's not true. Matt who were you upset with owner team player? Coach who will dock was everything at the time. You know, that's back when doc was GM. Right. President and head coach you know, what I mean? So it's a tough situation than after the fact doctrine pulled aside once we got Memphis and explain the situation, I wasn't buying it. You know what I mean? Like, you take it personal as a player you said because it's more than just you leaving and putting on a different uniform. I have kids I have a family. I got to go to a city auto possibly want to go to. So a lot plays into that. I mean who would want to go from L A to New Orleans, you know, with all due respect. But just who would you know what I mean? So a lot really comes into that. So like I said they're going to have to deal with this for a while. In hopefully, he can get these guys back on the same page and believing because him and his agent and magic really shook the cage. And now you've got a bunch of young guys kind of not really sure of
