"Are in an atmosphere repeat Miller acting with great care, and you can get high in those moments can sort of get a a natural high on this feeling of of being killed four and attended to by those people, right? Yeah. I don't Dino Darren Brown is. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah. He's got a special. I believe it's on Netflix where he actually goes through and does his own like healing service. And he gets these people supercharged up and super and get you know, like, you're talking about get some high, and you know, obviously Darren Brown. There's nothing religious about that. He and he tells you from the beginning, there's nothing religious about this. But he goes into it and he uses the same methods. They sincere believers do and it's incredible. Watching these people just falling over and just getting all excited, and there's nothing spiritual about any of it. Darren Brown is worth a look for anybody. Who's not familiar with him? He is a mental tea is a magician. He is a skeptic and debunk. Occur. It's D E R R E N. I'm surprised he's not more popular in the United States. But a few people here know who he is. But he's huge in the UK. I've heard he saying it's hard for him to get something done sometimes because sometimes he plays crying, sir jokes or doesn't want people. It does stuff that requires people not knowing we is. And he's running into difficulty with everybody knowing who he is now over there will he came over here at one point and he groomed. This sort of actor to be a it was individualist or faith healer. And at the end the faith healer revealed from the stage. Hey, I'm I'm bogus. You need to believe in yourself. Yeah. It's a very interesting specialists runs like ninety minutes. I may be also on YouTube. I don't know. Josh. I appreciate you though. Thanks for sharing your experience and all my best for the rest of the year. Okay. All right. Sounds thanks. How the good one? Televangelist Robert Tilton. He was huge back in the early nineteen nineties televangelist with is sort of name it and claim it prosperity gospel. His hugely animated gesticulations on television. He became a multi millionaire, and he made all kinds of promises about yes. I feel the spirit I feel God moving and handled these bizarre sort of spasms that he would do as he spoke to the camera. Okay. And people love this guy. I cannot figure it out. The people loved Robert Tilton and genuinely thought that these sort of spasms and gestures and these weird pauses he'd close his eyes, and he'd say, oh, yes, there is there's the spirit. They thought that he was genuinely receiving the spirit primetime live on ABC did an expose of him back in the early nineties, and he sort of went off the air. And then he came back. You know, how these guys are scandal is rarely a problem for the televangelist for the faith healer for the name it and clay. Prosperity gospel passed on television. Well. There was a video that became huge back in the nineties. This is before the internet, and yet it's still sort of went viral people hand dubbed VHS videotape copies of an edit of Robert Tilton and someone had taken flatulence sounds and inserted those whenever Robert Tilton would do one of his little pauses or as little spasms. Okay. And people were sharing this thing. All over the place. It's all over you to. I don't know. How many different versions exist of the Robert Tilton? Farting preacher video, but he has become legend for this. And I know it's base level humor. And I know it's beneath this, and I know I should be taking the high road. And I know we should be dealing with the bigger issues..

"So this is the Darren Brown method. Right. So this is the narrative that magicians use as part of their act. And to distract the audience from what they're really doing. So in reality when you have a psychic magician, right? A magician between mental and they say, oh, yeah. I'm going to make you say the word I want you to say or the number of pick the number. I want you to pick or whatever they're not doing that. Right. They're not using number that most people would pick anyway, or they're not even doing that. They're just cheating. They're just doing doing a standard conjuring trick. But their packaging it in the narrative of psychological manipulation because that's distracting the audience from what they're really doing. Right. Which is palm ING note, or whatever they're doing something physical that part of the trick so-called conjuring trick. But the narrative is psychological manipulation or they're just doing math. Those are my favorite. Yeah. That's such a different type of mathematician type traffic, but here's the point. Whatever they're doing is reliable. Yeah. And mental manipulation. Even if even if it's a thing it's not reliable enough to be a stage show, right? When you have to has to. So if it works every time, they're not just influencing the audience member to do what they want. They're cheating to guarantee the outcome, or at least an outcome that they could pretend was what they were going for the whole time. So anyway, so this is the the study that they did is they had a magician do a trick. And they randomized the audience to one of two narratives in one narrative, the mental ISM trick was presented as being magic being psychic. And the other one. It was presented as being psychological manipulation and in the psychological manip-. So in the psychic group, the adult they were actually carry you'll love this. They were undergraduate students, right? Convenience. Who would have thought psychology students? I might guess. Yes. They were to enrolled for a psychology degree program. If they were told that the trick was psychic that did not influence, the subject's belief in the paranormal or psychic ability. But if they were told it was psychological manipulation that did significantly increase their belief that such psychological manipulation is possible. It doesn't surprise me. It makes me sad. But it doesn't surprise me. Yes. So the generalize conclusion that the researchers with this is what they were testing. And this was supported by their study is the idea that people's worldview like if they believe in the paranormal and not are are pretty fixed, and you're not going to dramatically change that in one encounter, right? Yeah. As most adults who don't already believe in the paranormal are not going to believe in magic based upon one example. But. If you give them a plausible pseudo pseudoscientific explanation. They will believe it. Yeah. But doesn't that nothing in the study was that these people didn't previously believe in pseudoscience? No, they know they tested them before. And after they did. Okay. So it increase their pseudoscientific affiliation. Or whatever you wanna call. So their belief that you can manipulate people in ways that are not really true. It's not plausible. But it has a plausible ish sounding hand waving pseudoscientific explanation. So that I think that reading like, yeah. That kind of fits this is confirmation bias, but it kind of fits with archiving general experience that people who are not terribly scientifically literate will believe something if they have at least an explanation to hold onto even if somebody who's more scientifically literate knows that it's bullshit if they could like, for example, I. Had people. Tell me you're talking about the influence of the full moon. Right. It sounds like magic. But if but if they hear that other title affect of the moon influences, the fluid in the brain, which is total nonsense. But they don't know that. That's so better pseudoscience. Yeah. If they have at least some expletives planetary narrative that sound scientific then they believe, and then like all that makes sense believe it now. Hypnotism which a lot of people think is legitimate science, right? This is done through hypnosis knows. This is a thing. It's just a lot more complicated than it. It's not it's not ideas people's heads year ago transfer or anything like that. But just to influencing how people are processing information, which is interesting in of itself, but any case so it really shows the power of these pseudoscientific explanations, they really do influence people's willingness to believe unusual things because it makes them feel better. Like, there's some science..

"And then they're like now when you see polka dots. Remember, I want you to get horny four another man. And I want you to. I want you to become gay. And I want you to suck that guys. And then when they see the polkadot thing, they're going to the guy will go like must suck and then gets on his fucking knees. And then just started, but they have to make sure the other guy also or no, you know, what it should be a gay guy. It should be a gay guy. That's like. Yeah. That's right. Yeah. Do it. Then I would believe it suck him off to completion. When you see polka dots. You're going to want to suck a guy off to complete. Here you go. And then a guy walks in with a polka dot dress. And he's just like soccer. Aww. Gets on his knees. And then afterwards, they're like so. Come all over his face. What happened? Have did. I eat a glazed Donut. No. And other guys there would just no pants on. And he's just all spent and he's just like what what what does happen. Room full of guys. We're just chilling. Now, what if I told you you sucked a guy off no way? I'm not gay fuck that his video, and it's just a fucking boo. Cocky video just guys off off and Darren buzz like now and for the face, and you hear his voice over all Volve. Into some fucking fat guy in a polka dot dress. All fall off and the guys that. Yeah. Okay. Cool. Yeah. Yeah. Me and my mouth, and he's like, well, I didn't do that. Congratulations gay. On on watched gay Darren Brown. No. Here's a talent Dan on it. On and on and on it. Oh. Here's a spoon to eat the rest then on. How about the porn where they do that do it? It's like, you know, what sex is degrading enough. If you're a guy who gets off on being degrading during sex. It's degrading enough. Do you know why you're mounting someone? So you don't need to go the whole nine and come on someone's face. And then give them us boon for the rest of it. You ever see that porn? I guess I have because I'm a sexual deviant. But I'm not, but they'll be like. I saw one where a guy fucking spurted into a fucking glass, and it was like drink it like what? Hey. He grabs. What if I told you you had a guy come into a gas? And then you drank it. Do it. Now, here's video of it off a little off. Goal. You did it. Owning lean on Brown. Maybe it's not about being gay. Maybe it's about being hypnotized. Fan on whom? A fucking idiot. Many. We're okay. Maybe it's a sliding scale. Maybe it's like what Kindy said it's on a scale from one to six maybe most of us fall somewhere between and it's very rare that we're a six heterosexual or one homosexual. Maybe we're all threes. All right. Blue apron with the holiday fast approaching meal. Prep is the last.

"Yeah. Man. I watched this fucking thing. Last night. And. I don't know. I was told to watch the fuck and Darren Brown, by the way, you know, this guys like the mental list, or whatever Deren is the most British fucking shit name name it. He's name is Darren, but Darren, you know, and every time you Google Darren Brown, did you mean Darren Brown, and I want to be like, no Google, I meant Darren Brown, and he should change his name. But I watched the fucking thing. Now, he's like this mental est that'll be like. It's so I don't he did I talked about it a long time ago. It was the push. It was called push on Netflix. And he gets a guy to fuck in kill somebody, which is ridiculous. But he liked basically just plays on there. He selects the right people. First of all he weeds out the non bitch made betas, and then he picks up the bitch made betas, and then he's like, I'm going to merely suggest a bunch of little things to this, man. And eventually he's going to end up, you know, impaling himself on a sword. Just to find out if it's even possible like so far, you know. So this one is called the assassin. I was told to watch it. And because it was amazing. And I watched it, and it's basically about a guy who's, you know, Darren Brown here he comes and he's like. The guy who killed Robert Kennedy. Was it was said he said Sirhan Sirhan was his name. And he was said he said that he was hypnotized to kill somebody. Now, the whole thing about him hypnotism is that you can't. Supposedly not be able to hypnotize somebody into doing something that they wouldn't normally do. Right. So you can hypnotize someone and be like, hey, go for can take your shit in the bathroom right now. You'll be like, okay. Gotta go it and you go in the bathroom, but maybe you wouldn't be able to him and be like, hey, go take your shit in the middle of Starbucks because you wouldn't necessarily normally do that. Now, if you're a bitch made beta which a lot of the guys that Darren Brown, we doubt these guys apparently Brown is saying you could make somebody possibly go take a in the middle of Starbucks. But also more importantly, you can make hypnotize somebody to kill somebody. Because that's what sir says he has no memory of it. And he's still to this day says he was hypnotized or wherever the fuck, right? So he made this thing to see if it would it was even possible. And so he goes to get this guy. And he gets this guy to do a bunch of shit that he wouldn't normally do like not feel cold if he's an ice an ice bucket. And then he snaps his fingers and guys like the three thing. And he's like I made you feel like it's not cold. And he's like, oh, well, how'd you do that? Oh my God. And he's is fucking. Empty bitch ass that will do anything. Anyone else says right because there's levels of people like imagine imagine. Here's the thing. Imagine me being hypnotized. That's not gonna work. 'cause you know, I'm going to be like the fuck talking about imagine. Joe Rogan be hypnotized. It's not gonna work. Right. But if you matching a bitch ass motherfucker, that's like where do I go like that kind of guy? He gets fucking for sure. Hypnotized. But Durham Brown does shit like here. Let me let me see your hand shake hand. And then we'll touch and now sleep now what he did was and the guy just fucking fall down and fall asleep, and I'm like that's fucking horse shit. Right. I'll look at my girl. I'll be like that's where shit, right? And she's like, yeah. That's horse shit. But then I'm like watching the fucking thing. And it seems real like these people don't seem like actors. So he falls. And falls asleep and the guys out cold and he's just sleeping because he touched his head and Darren Browns like so what I did was we took normal activity where he shook my hand..

"Time for up. On this This week I am slightly terrified Yeah, because I I guess location wise I'm, only a few feet from Ali and. I've been told, already I've been I've been hinted I've. Been sort of secretly filled in. This, is something you don't love oh I feel like most of our. Likes. Are pretty much in line absolutely on weirded out because this week I'm getting. You up on a Netflix special this is the first of three. That will be released, this year there's also another one but what I'm getting you up on right now is a special on. Netflix called push from Darren Brown he's a mental list slash magician, out of the UK and I've I've. Been told you didn't like it I've been told you. Think this whole thing is fake that's. Not true at all I, totally enjoy watching mental yes However I think his latest special and I, don't, know, if it's push it was you're talking, about the factor fiction the the religious yes okay was that the one where he? Performed miracles, yes that was some BS that. Was awful well I, can't wait to tell you that I think none of this is Bs I think the idea that? Darren, Brown let. Me tell, you about AMIS, extremely famous and? He's, just coming out to? The, US and, again like she says, it could be considered magic but what, it truly is is mind control this. Is a man, who believes that he could bring you. Into any room and basically with. Just, a couple of words say anything he wants you to say for. Example. In the UK became very famous by bringing in different people in saying hey. Listen when you were a kid for Christmas was there something that. You asked for that, your parents never got you go now not really really think about it for me take it in like. Is there anything that you've ever thought of put on a list, and your parents just ignore it no. Not really think again and they go you know what. Yeah once a red bike He got famous because he made that happened six times in? A, row with. People who, came in and, he basically in? A. Way hypnotizing people right Yes so they, all said read bike they all said red bike and he tells. You how he does these things he's not like a. Secretive person he basically says I can get into people through suggestion through a. Bit of hypnosis although legally, he says he is not hip. Hypnotize people he is able to make people think certain ways, that? Is his entire magic this is a one hour nine minutes special released in June currently on net flicks where Darren Brown does a social experiment right. He finds people that he believes he can convince over the course of a night through escalating events to push someone off the building to their death That's what you need to know so, for example at the beginning I'm not going to. Give away too, much, because I want you to. Watch it, and, it's on your net flicks tonight but for, example he'll say hey this is a platter of know a platter of appetizers do me a favor I. Know. They're not veteran but, can you, put the vegetarian sign on, it because we're supposed to have a vegetarian platter. And then over the course of. A night those, kind of moral dilemmas those kind of questionable moves are escalated until. We get to our final scene which would involve possibly. Someone murdering someone so these are things that these people under ordinary circumstances asked. By you or I put, the sign up on the vegetarian. We'll just say no I'm not gonna do that that's cool, dude? But but what I would not do it but this guy somehow is getting inside their brain and making it seem to them like it makes Anthony Never hides the reasoning so, you say like a weird. Did they get into the minds not really he just you know like for, example the very small thing like at. The at the event that they do this whole experiment that he didn't, tell them into black tie affair so the person. Who shows up, wearing, kind of more street clothes. Just that alone, might make you think you're a little inferior, people around you so if someone asks you to do something you might be more inclined to do it Can you, see how you watching it can you see how it works yes absolutely he picks people who for example seem to be inclined, to follow. The definitely not leaders you picks people to do this that are, followers and then shows you how these types of things happen I picked up. The trailer so you guys get here a, little bit of it let's listen to it.

"Put on by a guy he's his name is darren brown he's a british mental list and illusionist and he says this quote the question were asking the simple can we be manipulated through social pressure to commit murder so here's how it begins and i won't be giving anything away to so what you're whistle again all actors they have a this fake charity set up called push sinn acronym stands for something than is good for youth thin in great britain okay and he's trying to expose how we essentially hand over authorship of our lives every day by social compliance so they bring in this guy he gets to this charity gala early and he thinks he's doing some meet and greet stuff and he gets the meet the bigwigs he needs to bigwig where says when he follow me i gotta finish one thing in the kitchen they go into the kitchen and then the woman says oh by the way the vegetation rian options and out here we've got a real problem going to look into it she walks out the guy who doesn't know he's in on the show is back there with an actor remember their 59 actor who one guy who doesn't know guy one of the actor says you know what were short on time but let's just put the vegetarian flags that say vegetarian in these sausage ones who cares people are going to know it we just we gotta go going this is the least among veterans on us in july we got the least of this is the least of our concerns and i were trying to raise a lot of money for a fantastic 'cause we cannot let these little speed bumps getting our way and then the guy that's your first opportunity for will he comply and he does and so then they go up to the control room and there is this guy darren brown who sang okay he said yes that was the first thing we need it and say yes to that was his first social compliance opportunity and he said yes because they're laying a bit laying groundwork here to see is he willing to buckle on little things with puressure does that maybe he'll do this yes he does that then this so here in this is all villabona trailer and.

"And we are back and uh for less story today we wanted to talk about a new netflixing reality show does not normally therefore today uh it is called the push a we watched trailer for yesterday in the office and we we honestly couldn't really believe what we were seeing um so it's this dude darren brown who is a cousin supplemental list he's basically a magician who does leg broad scale of you know hill like trick people into thinking something different than like he he uses human sort of cognitive by a season like blind spots two uh you know tricked people one do crazy tricks and so his gambit here is that he has set up like a fake sort of candid camerastyle thing in which he is is trying to get somebody to murder another person and his basically gas leading them into thinking that their murdering someone yeah we we follow this unwitting person as you know they are made to think that they've just poisoned someone and then they're disposing of the body and then uh at the end the reason is called the push is because at the end a the the victim has come back from the dead uh and you know was not totally dead and now the victim is going to tell on them if they don't kill him if they don't like push him off the side of building so in the final seen the unwitting victim has to stand on the roof and decide whether or not to push this person off the roof and i dunno so the the big question is does he pushed them or not and you know does he commit murder or not this is a fucking which is a crazy show right in general.
