"Did. So did Kenny Wallace, but straighter now we're talking about it when it was over. And it's kind of like when you used to drive a race car and they dropped the green flag and you run 5 or 6 laps. All of a sudden in your head you'd say, it's gonna be a good day. I'm running good. It's gonna be a good day. You know what I mean? It's something just clicks. And that's kind of the way this ride was. As soon as we got there and we had our dinner and stuff, that Friday night before we kicked off on Saturday, it was like, man, this could be a good ride. We did a special thing in tona Paul. We had one night we did the Kinney and Kenny show, where I sat on stage with him and just asked him questions. And it was, listen, we need to take it to Vegas. It's the greatest show on earth. Schrader and Wallace show, I can see that being entertaining. Oh my gosh, it was incredible. Then the next night, I brought my sister Sharon. My dad, and they set up there and talked about sharing and talked about growing up. And going to races with my dad and stuff. So that was pretty cool. And he talked about stuff. And then everywhere we went. It was just fun. We just had a, it was low key. It wasn't overly busy. Morgan, as always, had an organized to the n-th degree. We shut down Las Vegas boulevard. We came in the Las Vegas boulevard with a police escort and they shut down traffic on both sides and wheeled us into the mirage. That's impressive. That's impressive. I've done a lot of things that a lot of things, but when you shut down Las Vegas boulevard, man, I felt like the rat pack company. That's us, man. We were jamming. We were we just needed a tuxedo with a bow tie just hanging around our neck untied in a cigarette, and we'd have been right. But it was just, it was a lot of fun. The whole ride, everything we raised a lot of money this year, probably more money than we've raised on a regular ride like this. And the last 7 or 8 years. Our 25th anniversary was a huge run. But this route was really close to that. So, and it was just good. We saw a lot of campers, kids that go to camp, you know, from out in Utah and out in Nevada. They came out to see us. So it was just great, man. And this was 27. 27, yeah, we're calling it 27. You know, because we did the 25th and then you miss, we kind of did one over about a 23, 22 month period. So we kept one short one in there, but yeah, man, COVID kind of like everybody. You lose that. There's a time period in there that's on a slide rule that you lose. You can't remember where it's at. But yeah, we call it our 27th and it was, it was a lot of fun. A lot of fun. So hopefully, yeah, next year, I don't know what we're going to do to top this one. But it was a good time. Well, you got Morgan on your side, so I'm glad we could give her a plug on Mother's Day recording here as well. She runs a tight ship for you both personally and professionally, so. That's right, it is Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day to everybody out there. I'm glad you had such a good time on the charity ride. I always have a good time with you on the NASCAR NBC podcast, Kyle Petty. Thanks for being here. For sure, for sure. Thank you, man. We appreciate Kyle Petty for joining us on the NASCAR on NBC podcast. Thanks to motor sports manager, Emily convoy, for coordinating this episode. "Is doing it. It's not a bad way to come. You take a beat in those first couple of years, but it's not a bad bad way to do. So he kind of inherited this one, but if you go back to the first stage in the second stage, he's a top three or four car. You know, he's coming. He's second, he's third. He's in the right place. His move, you know, if you go back and look when those guys get in the wall, man. He's committed. He's in the gas and he's turning left, and he knows that's his opportunity. He's got to make it past that wreck. I think he and Rudy, when they put when he and Rudy came back together. When he and Rudy came back together and instantly it became William and Rudy's team. Before it was somebody else's team, William was just driving it. You know what I mean? But then he got his people. I kind of compare it a little bit to Joey Logano too. When Joey drove for Gibbs, it's like, they put him in Tony's car and it was Tony's crew and Tony's crew chief and Tony's car. And Tony could drive it, so you get in it and drive it. Yeah, you know what I mean? And Joey was not successful. He went, he went to Penske, and they built a team of Joey Logano. And Joey Logano just flourished. He just thrives. And become an incredible driver. You know, a couple of championships, 30 some wins, you look at it. He's 32 years old. You know, those are those are Jeff Gordon Richard Petty Kyle Busch numbers. When you start looking at when you start breaking and breaking them down. So he's in a different category. People don't put joy in that category, but he's in that category. We in burns the same way. Once William was there long enough to establish his style. And they put him with people that he wanted to work with and people that trust in him and trusted his ability like Rudy did. And he trusted their ability. And they flourished, man. They have flourished. I thought he was going to be stronger at the end of last year than he was. Because they were a couple of races towards them in the year. He just put that car on his back and carried it. The way Jeff used to carry it. And make something out of nothing. The way Kevin Harvick carries a car. So yeah, I think he's in a position in a place, and you got to remember, remember, I took a ton of heat when I said that William Byron was the future of Henry motor sports, not chase Elliott. Now I'm not going to waver from that. I know chase is one championships, a no chase has won more races and does more stuff. But I think long-term when you look at it, we environment is going to be the one that steers the ship and moves it in the right direction. Well, if you heard chase after his top 5 today, he'd probably agree with you because he was rather hard on himself for how he was getting through traffic. Yeah, we were, I felt like our car was plenty good, really. Throughout the whole day, I just do such a terrible job getting up through traffic and I guess stalled out behind guys and I just feel like people driving cars like mine don't do that. They tend to get up through there and get to where they belong. So I feel like everything on the other side of the wall and the car that I was driving was really, really good. So I need to just try to improve and keep going to work on areas that I'm struggling in and try to try to build on the improvements we've made, but we certainly have I certainly have a long ways to go. But really proud of our team effort to keep us in the fight, to stop unreal. And obviously I really lucky there at the end with those guys crashing and then the call should come out quick. For myself and guys like Brad to keep our spots like that. So I'll certainly take third and appreciate appreciate all the effort this weekend. We're making some small games here and there just gotta get some more. Of course, that's nothing new for chase love yourself critical. Yeah, I guess the old chase is back. Exactly, he always won. You know what I mean? Remember he had run second just belittle himself in front of everybody. You know what I mean? And I understand that. If that's how he's self motivates, that's fine. It's hard to work for a driver like that or anybody like that who doesn't believe that an appear from the outside sometimes to believe in their self enough, how can I believe in you if you don't believe in yourself? You know what I mean? Listen, he's got a long career ahead. He's going to win more races and maybe win more championships. I'm not going to, I can't give it to him right now, but maybe because it's so tough to win championships in this format. The way it is. But he's got, he's got to break that a little bit. Well, I think it'll be a factor this weekend because I think he's one of the only guys who is raced at North Wilkesboro. I guess he and Blaine, I think, did late models there, like over a decade ago,

"I think that was part of the issue was your whole life from the time you're 6, 7, 8 years old. You hear how tough Darlington is. And then one day you're sitting in a car and you already believe it's tough. You know, Taylor Bonnie grow up in Corpus Christi. He didn't know a rat's rear end about Darlington. He just showed up eat it. You know, Lake speed did the same thing. So many guys just showed up and just beat the place. But it was tough. And it was not, it was not a con play star family. But man, you know, we raced there for my dad still, they still there. Many still going and here we are 75 years later and you're still been there 70 somewhat, 74 years, I guess 73, 74 years. It's part of the DNA anyhow of who we are. Today, like getting to see the 75th anniversary scene, obviously, you know, the Carl Edwards back. He was part of the broadcast, Bill Elliott, as I mentioned, like the 75 greatest drivers I voted for Cal petty, by the way, for that list. What did you think about that scene so many generational legends, greats, champions, all gathered one spot? Yeah, so that was cool. You know, obviously, listen, and I make no bones about it. For me, the golden era of the sport was, was the 60s. And into the 70s. When you're growing up. And I think a lot of sports fans are that way. When you become a Yankees fan, if you're a Yankees fan when you're 8, that golden era for you is when you're a kid, when you're playing a little league baseball, when you're playing, that's your golden era and you judge everything against that. So I judge everything against, you know, my dad and Pearson and kale and Bobby and all those guys, so the seed Bobby and Donnie, Herschel was there, as you said, Dave Marcus was there. I mean, there were so many guys walking around. And you looked around, he thought, man, this is the garage area of my youth. You know, these are the guys I spent summers with. These are the guys I spent weekends with. And then, you know, you see Jeff. And rusty and guys like that. Guys, you raced against. And then Joey Logano, you put him in. And guys like that. It's fascinating to look at that cross section. Of guys, you know, and that's the kind of for me, that's the kind of stuff I love because I'd like to get all 75 of them in a room and start asking them questions. Because there's a common thread in every one of them. And it's that desire to win. That drive to be the best. Of whatever era they race and wherever they are. So it's pretty cool. I went the big tent to see all of them in the shake their hands and Jerry cook and all those guys. So it was good. Those are days I like. I will say that on a personal level, those are days I like. I'd watch that coffee with Kyle like super edition if you have a few dozen guys for an entire day in a tent like that and you just talk to them and that'd be really cool. But yeah, of course, the big topic of conversation was what happened during the race. And as I mentioned, William Byron wins when Ross Chastain always Ross gets into it for the lead with Kyle Larson on a late restart. I'm going to start Kyle by just I'll read you what Ross Chastain said. By the way, Kyle Larson did not apparently talk to the media. But Ross Chastain said to Fox. What happened to turn one? Full commit. Into one, I got really tight and drove up and turned myself. I wanted to squeeze him. I wanted to push him up. We had been

Byron wins Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway after Chastain wreck

"Opportunity knocked and William Byron kicked the door down, taking advantage of a late race kerfuffle between leader Ross Chastain and Kyle Larson as they battled over the same real estate on the track and both crashed, bringing out the caution. Baron surged ahead on the restart, driving away from Kevin Harvick to win the NASCAR Cup Series race at Darlington Raceway. Harvick overcame a difficult running car to finish second, admitting that he didn't have enough speed to pass Byron on the final restart, finishing third was chase Elliott. I'm Jerry Jordan.

"Said he was extremely comfortable in his car last week. You wouldn't have known it from the first run of the race, but gradually worked himself in a contention and showed that he had a car that was capable of finishing inside the top ten. Nothing that we saw in the speed chart to really suggested that he would be as good as what some of his comments illustrated there. When we go from some of the favorites we start to get into the value propositions. And these are drivers all priced at ten to one or greater. And you can kind of throw a blanket over a number of them. We can start with Ross Chastain back to back top 5 finishes after three straight outside the top ten, 5 top 5s this year and 6 top tens overall did finish third at Fontana earlier this year. Like you mentioned though, that wasn't exactly a hot slick racing surface. It was just high tire wear. As far as his Darlington formed nothing to write home about last season, finished 20th and 30th, the 30th comes in the heels of an accident. 7 trips here in his career, I'm not even gonna bring that up because he was in such inferior equipment that all it's going to do is distort a picture. Ross Chastain very much relevant this week on how are you handicapping the one car? Yeah, kind of the same as every week, I guess last week he did have a better qualifying than anticipated, but the number still was there. You were still able to get like 11 or 12 to one, whereas a lot of guys were talking about that 14 to one price when it opened and I told people to shy away from that because I didn't think his number would drop that much. He looked good at qualified thing in third. You still were able to get him at double digit odds before the race. So I think more of the same with that. I do think there'll be points throughout this race where we think Ross Chastain will be the best car just a matter of will they be able to stay up and manage those changes to the track and I don't know. I just expect some sort of fireworks from Ross. I don't know whether he's going to who's going to kick the shit out of this week or who he's going to rack or I don't know. He's just so marketable right now and everyone's talking about him and whether you love him or you hate him. He's going to be there. And it'll be interesting to see how things play out this week. Steven Willie beamon, William Byron driver of the 24 car, three straight top 7 finishes, third, fourth and 7th. He's led 200 plus laps over the last three races. The majority of those coming at Dover owns two wins this season and is one of just a handful of drivers leading the circuit in top 5 finishes column with 5 when you look at his past day races, four finishes of 7th or better. He's led 18% of all laps in the Cup Series when it comes to Darlington form three top tens in his last 5 trips here, a career best finish of fourth to his credit. Willem Byron pre week. Willem in the mix or wait and see. Okay, this is probably my favorite pre week favorite price or just someone that I think does have a little bit of value. He's still running great right now. You know, he was off to a rough start at Kansas, but the work is way back into a race. And man, they got that thing rolling towards the second half of that race. I expect him to run well, I expect him to qualify well. You know, obviously kind of a tainted finish there last spring and was able to battle back and kind of get past that. I think that I think that this is probably the best price. I've seen on the outright market just because I could see that those odds plummet. I could see him. If he looks good in practice or puts it on the pole, remember, there is not a better pit stall in NASCAR arguably than that first pit stall here at Darlington. So whoever gets that first pit stall if he looks fast and practice, I could see him at 6 and a half or 7 to one. That's why I don't mind, you know, maybe a small play on that ten to one William Byron price. The portion of the program where you tell us why we have to pre weak Kyle Busch, do you want to go into it now and try to justify your decision making or tell us we want to take wait and see. On the heels of his worst finish of the season at Kansas, of course, because of an incident not indicative of the kind of car he had under him. When we look at Darlington form three straight finishes outside the top 30 ironically enough, engine accident accident before that he'd had 6 to 7 trips that resulted in all in finishes of 7th or better, hasn't won here though since back in 2008, I know they're throwing it all the way back to the Fontana race where Kyle Busch had his first career win as a member of RCR. How are you handicapping rowdy this weekend? Man, you know, did you see that rec last week? Did you see how hardy he hit the inside wall? Didn't look comfortable, I'll tell you that much. Well, but it also didn't look like it did that, did that much damage, and he just kind of threw it. He just like, oh, we're cooked. Days over. I don't know. I feel like, I don't know. I am now selling Kyle Busch. Ten to one for sure. That is, don't bet that. I just don't see that being the, it would be shocking to me if he just went out there and qualified well and let a bunch of laps in one. Now, I certainly think he could get that car better, but you're going to see a better price than ten to one. I'd be shocked. Remember, even at Fontana, he did struggle and I guess they didn't practice and qualify. But I don't know. Ten to one is not, that's not a ten to one race car at this point in the season. Christopher Bell, anywhere from 12 to one on the low end upwards of 14 throughout the market when we look at the 20 car 5 top 5s this season 8 top tens, which is actually the best in the Cup Series. Three finishes outside the top ten for racing incidents other than that, the only time he finished outside the top ten was a 16th place at Martinsville when we look at how he's performed at Darlington, 5th and 6th place finishes last year, but he did have stage points in all four stages. Yeah, I think I don't mind this price either. Obviously, the 14 to one, I like more than 12, I know. Here's where this is where you get the hard hitting information. That's why they pay you. That's why they pay you the big bucks. And you call yourself the medium bucks. Yeah. But yeah, there's something about seeing 14 versus 12. I feel like you could just kind of value that him. He's gonna be around. Do I think he's gonna go out there and lead a bunch of laps? No, but I'll tell you what, late in the race, anything can happen. And if you just have someone that's kind of running kind of consistently in the top 6, maybe a fast pit stop and a late race restart, he'll be there. You know, I'm not gonna argue with anyone that wants to take Chris Bell. I will say this. He's been so consistent all year, but he hasn't had that race winning speed outside of the Bristol dirt, which I still think was kind of gifted to him by those guys take tires. So, you know, he has kind of been a 12 to one car week in and week out just because he's been around, but never fast enough to go and say, oh, man, do I need to go live that Chris Bell outside of the Bristol dirt. So I think that the sportsbooks have had him kind of overvalued. On the outright market, not in the match up market because he's had great finishes, but I don't think he's had inside a ten to one type car, even I guess even at Bristol dirt, I thought that there were guys that were better than him. So I think he's now properly priced, but all of a sudden you see 14 to one on him and it's like, well, you know, he's going to be around. If he avoids issues throughout the race, he's going to be in the top 5 and a chance to win the race, you know, maybe pit road and the final restart, he could be there. So we'll see what happens. I do like a 14 to one on Chris Bell though. Kevin Harvick, very similar price range to Chris spell when you look at how he's raced at Darlington 33rd and fourth last year. Why do I bring up that 33rd place finish? Because it ended a streak of 13 straight top tens for Kevin Harvick at Darlington the last time he didn't finish in the

"I think that if this was actually taken seriously, they should have a committee put together the bracket, not necessarily based on points, right? Because points we've had points taken away and there's been penalties and guys with DNFs that maybe are running better than they should because it would have been awesome if it was Hamlin versus Larsen at Sonoma for the championship of this fake bracket. So I feel like if they put a little bit more thought into it, you could actually have a committee put together who they think is running the best or hell, have us do it. We'll do it. Yeah, I mean, daddy, if you're out there listening to the podcast or anybody from dirty mo tuning in, let us know, we can try and have a little fun with it. And the nice part about this, we can set up another bracket once this one ends at Sonoma. Should this be a real exercise that they want to do? We know we're not going to get a sponsor in their offering a $1 million prize or some astronomical number to the driver, but you can do this in 5 week increments and have a little bit of fun before the drama really gets ratcheted up with the ten week stretch for the playoffs in a way to championship. Yeah, because I think the first chase and Chastain were matched up in the first round. Like, come on, I understand how they just, it was really easy just to set it by points, but that's not a realistic first round matchup. You know, that's not what are the 8 9 matchup that you see in the yeah, the NCAA tournament. Josh, the NCA tournament. So I just think it'd be better if they had taken just some more time or they just threw out there in a podcast. So the fact that it's come to this is pretty awesome. But if they had actually had the people that are in the know in this industry put together, I think a very fair ranking. I think it would have been a lot more fun. And you'd see less minus three 30 prices in the second round, right? So either way, I still think it's great people are talking about it. People are talking about NASCAR more on social media than they have in a while with the whole fight last week and the way that the race ended. So I think all of this stuff is good for the sport. Just maybe put a little bit more time into what will happen in the future if you don't rank these guys properly. Yeah, it's a little bit of buzz and I think look, credit to NASCAR and some of the guys there. Denny has done more for the sport with his outspoken opinions. Obviously a little bit polarizing in a variety of capacities, but it's what NASCAR needs and you like to see that from me. One of the better drivers in the sport and obviously joining with an ownership stake, bringing in some fresh blood and the likes of Michael Jordan and some unique sponsors there. So as I look at the bracket, honestly, Chris. I mean, this thing would take a lot to try and unpack. I mean, Chastain is the one C takes on Suarez in the round of 16 and then they go to Charlotte taking on the winner at kessel low ski Elmer rola before they get to gateway. A lot of chaos to be had there, but encourage folks that if you're a NASCAR fan and you haven't seen this to go check out the bracket. A lot of fun as much a discussion topic as anything else. All right, we'll wave the green white checkered flag on stage two and on to stage three, we go to preview this weekend's Goodyear 400 from Darlington in lovely, South Carolina. When we talk about Darlington worm, this is a track with many nicknames. The lady in black, the track too tough to tame, and it gets its moniker lady in black because the night before the race, the track maintenance crew used to cover the track with fresh asphalt sealant in the early years of the speedway, making the racing surface dark black. See, I learned new things every time I do some impressive. For this podcast, it's known for its Darlington stripes and its unique configuration that typically takes paint off the race cars a little bit different now with some of the wraps that are there. When we're talking about track specifics, a 1.366 mile oval shape getting into turns one and two very different than getting into turns three and four. The reason for the oval shape because of a property owner that didn't want to relocate his minow pond when the track was built in the late 40s. We're back to racing here twice a year despite initial concerns from NASCAR over the last decade about declining attendance. The spring race of 400 miler compared to The Crown jewel, southern 500, which has taken its rightful spot back on Labor Day weekend. When we talk about track comparisons, this is where I defer to your level of expertise. I think there are some logical ones, but I want to hear your thoughts rather than me putting stuff out there for you to tell me how fucking dumb I really am. Well, I mean, I don't even need to need a reason to say that to you. It's a very good point. It's a very full point. But so obviously the comparisons with tire wear, you can go ahead and look at Fontana from this year. And then even a little bit of Kansas and I want to touch on that in a second. The four, I guess sheets that I have pulled up are obviously both Darlington races from last year. I also have just the track history since 2014 in the loop data kind of all jumbled together into one sheet. And then I have just the combined loop data stats from both races last year. And man, I'm really having a hard time in saying what I would put the most important track comp of all of those. Man, so here's the thing. It's going to be hot and slick. And we haven't seen hot and slick since last week, but that's the only time we've really seen hot and slick this year on a similar track comp. So as much as I want to take a look at last year and say, oh, well, obviously Joey Logano is going to be really good or Eric Jones is going to be really good. We saw two really we saw a night race and then we saw a cold race in the spring. So I don't know that last year's track comps are going to be as important as they might be for some other tracks. This year, man, I almost look back at Kansas and then and just the history from like 2014 and I'm just that's an arbitrary time. If you go back far enough, you're going to get an idea of who's been good recently over the last 9 years. And I'm going to use just kind of track history. For the last 9 years, and then I'm going to just who's running well and who ran well at Kansas and who was good over the long run and who was able to make passes because it was tough to pass the Kansas last week. It's going to be tough to pass again this week. You're going to have to there's going to be slide job left and right. We saw that last Sunday. And we're going to see it again this Sunday. So I'm going to say history at the track and then I'm going to say Kansas ahead of last year's Darlington. It's an interesting way to look at it for sure knowing that the racing conditions are going to be much more similar to that than what we saw transpire last season. When we look at recent history at this track, Eric Jones is the best average finish of any driver all time, slightly outside the top 5. That of course comes with a caveat. He was insignificantly better equipment than what we're going to see him racing around come Sunday, but you look at the winners last year, Eric Jones wins the playoff race, Joey Logano won in the spring. Denny Hamlin wins the playoff race in 2021. It was Martin Truex Junior grabbing the win in the spring and the 2020 season we actually raced here three times during the pandemic. And like every other intermediate track, it was Harvick Hamlin Harvick Hamlin Harvard Hamlin and back in 2019, it was Eric Jones grabbing the checkered flag. As we often

"Were robbed of potentially one of the greatest finishes we could have seen in NASCAR. If those guys were too wide coming off a four, I think that would have been awesome. But I'm going to go ahead and grade this as a racing incident. And although I'm bummed out that I kind of got the raw end of that stick. You know, I can't blame Denny for going out there and winning a race. He needed to get a win. And especially when his team was flawless on pit road. He needed a perfect race in order to win, and he got that from his team on pit road, so it was good that he was able to capitalize. Now, when it comes to this Gregson Chastain, man, for the first time I tweeted something where I lost followers. And I said that Gregson's not the hero we wanted, but the hero we needed. And I forget how many people hate Noah Gregson. Everyone is just like, oh, you and I have a different definition of hero. I'm like, okay, listen, not like a real hero. But you know what? He actually did something to Ross, like physically. And you could tell you could read Ross's lips. I got loose. And you know that that's probably a horse shit. You know, it might be true, but that's what he has to say. And then for Gregson to kind of get green and green lighted and smacked and then get his punch blocked by the guy in gold was kind of, I don't think Gregson saw that whole altercation going that way. But you know, hey, go for the sport, man. Ross Chastain is really good for NASCAR. And I think Noah Gregson is also good for NASCAR. So we'll see what happens, but man, Ross just he just doesn't make mistakes. If he does, he comes out smelling like a rose. I mean, the guy's extremely talented. Now we can pump the brakes a little bit on the comparisons between Ross Chastain as a villain to Dale senior, knowing that Dale senior was a champion before he pulled all those things. And you know what? Ross may become a champion before his career is done track house is obviously made a serious investment in him and you see some of the potential out there. But if I'm Noah Gregson, there is no doubt I'm frustrated, not just because of Ross Chastain, knowing that every single week that I unload, the best finish I possibly have is 30th, unless I'm going to a super speedway. Legacy motor club, not exactly picking up where petty GMS of sorts left off last year, and you can see exactly how frustrating that's become not just for him, but also his teammate and Eric Jones. You can follow Chris on Twitter at Chris wormy 15 if memory serves me correct. I should know this by now. You can follow me on Twitter at Todd fuhrman. Most importantly, as always, follow the podcast at bet the board pod. From stage one to stage two. And for those folks, you don't follow a lot of the content being put out by dirty mo media. Denny Hamlin's actions detrimental. He pitched a very interesting concept, and it was a midsummer bracket that he had talked about. Obviously, there are no true on track implications other than for bragging rights amongst drivers. It's not like a dash for the cash, but it gained significant traction on social media. And what it is for those folks that may not be familiar with it. It was a 32 driver bracket seated one through 32. You picked all of the head to head matchups and ultimately there's your champion crowned after Sonoma. So for those folks that handicapped it, they looked at the numbers, they went through all of it. And you and I Chris thought it'd be a great exercise, figuring that most books weren't going to be smart enough to set our own odds on what the round of 16 matchup should be. Lo and behold, about an hour before we come on air, I'm flipping through number of sports books, making sure the numbers are updated the way they're supposed to be. And I see Caesar's actually pulls down all of the matchups they set earlier in the week and puts up bracket matchups. So when we begin to look at some of those numbers, obviously, again, no implications on track. There are betting implications for a lot of this stuff. Is there a matchup that you see that's fascinating that you thought that the books were a little bit off on when we did our exercise versus what you see at Darlington? And then I'll get your take on the big picture in general. Well, I would say, I just think the most intrigued when I mean Hamlin Larson. I mean, it's a championship caliber matchup between the 16. Yeah, I think that you could easily put those guys in a class of their own. You just say Truex Hamlin and Byron right now seem to really be kind of setting themselves apart. You know what Chastain maybe just outside of there. So I think that to see those guys, they both understand that that's almost the championship in my opinion. So, you know, I think that's the most intriguing one, obviously, because I feel like that person is the favorite moving forward. When it came to the numbers that we kind of thought about, we had Keselowski and Eric Almirola. We made cats a favorite, but it wasn't the massive favorite that he was released at Caesar's. So I don't think Keselowski should be a massive favorite over anyone. I mean, he just disappeared last week. I do give him the edge, obviously, going into going into a high tire where track at Darlington this week. But I don't know. I mean, you're going to have a huge favorite with Harvick over Stenhouse. That's just like, okay, if Harvick doesn't have an issue, he wins that. He stays on the track. He's going to be okay. So yeah, so that's just like, okay, let's just figure out how many times Harvick has an issue or finishes like two laps down or more. And then that's how you calculate that price based on that percentage. So other than that, I mean, Blaney Wallace is kind of interesting because they're both terrible there. It'll be the battle of the sucks between that group. And then, you know, Chastain Suarez, I mean, they're not in the same zip code this year. So I wouldn't think that Suarez has just an unless something happens to Chastain. I don't see any way for him to win that match up. If this was a real bracket and something that you had to look at based on the tracks and look, Denny is a visionary and exactly what the sport needs to think outside the box. But I'm also going to go one step further and say that Denny is no dummy. And when he pitched his bracket, I'm sure in the back of his mind, he knew this was a stretch of tracks that he was going to run very well at. Obviously the culmination would be its Sonoma and you have to advance through this fictitious bracket. If you were handicapping from the outside coming in because who knows? Maybe one of the sportsbooks is actually going to hang numbers on odds to win this fictitious bracket because it will take place on the track. I mean, as Larson, the favorite knowing that he's run a little bit better at Sonoma, but he obviously has to get through Denny at Darlington this weekend, even be in the discussion. Yeah, I don't have the bracket sitting right in front of me, so it's really hard to kind of figure out who has the easiest road. But I can tell you right now, it's tough to make Hamlin or Larson the favorite this week when one of them is going to be gone. I think that if this was actually taken seriously, they should have a committee put together the bracket, not necessarily based on points, right? Because points we've had points taken

"And just make a profit off of electricity that wouldn't have been worth anything or in some cases it's even a liability to generate surplus electricity because it can disrupt the frequency of the grids and cause brownouts and blackouts in various negative effects to the power systems. So it's important to maintain a stable output from a nuclear reactor. Although I've been mentioned that they can load follow, it does disrupt the economics and it does create unnecessary wear and tear on the turbine systems in the core by doing that one if they would just have Bitcoin mining just to fill that space where their surplus is, then they can keep the reactors running at a 100%. And then they've always got that just that extra market to sell electricity too on the margins when they need to. So I foresee in the not too distant future once we start deploying more nuclear reactors using the strategy that there will be many that are just mining at the margins just to just to capture their surplus and minimize their economic losses. Well, there may be some that have the intent to buy an entire reactor unit just for the purpose of mining Bitcoin and going and setting up somewhere where they can build a Citadel. There's so much potential we can play out Brandon quit them pioneer species idea. We just drop drop a small modular nuclear reactor with a contingency of Bitcoin miners. And then monetize it while we're waiting for our transmission to be set up and then just slowly as more sophisticated energy buyers enter that market, peel off the miners and redeploy them to some other operation where they'll be useful or because of the modularity of this new generation of reactors is going to work. You can just add a new reactor module and then just fill in the space again. There's an infinite ways that this can be configured because the small modular reactors come in a number of different sizes like the one that we intend to build and demonstrate at Canadian nuclear laboratories is going to be just a 5 megawatt unit and its purpose is to displace diesel generation in remote communities. And then there's a 300 megawatt unit that's being built at the Darlington site in Ontario. And it's more going to be just a small modular setup for grid operations and smaller communities that don't need like a giant gigawatt level facility. And it will be perfect for smaller countries like Estonia would be a good application for a small reactor like that. And then there's dozens of other ones that are in between like there's like an 80 megawatt one. There's one that's 120, one that's 200. So then you can set them up in modules. So if you want a community with, say, 30 megawatts, you build 6 modules of the 5 megawatt unit, but then once you get up to a certain point, maybe it would be better to drop in an 80 megawatt unit and then go from there and just iterate with the different sizes and find out which ones work best for various scenarios and I'm trying to work with a team. That's the CNL that's developing hybrid energy system models to incorporate just a hash price variable into that until those models so that

Donald Trump Attacks Ron DeSantis AGAIN

"Donald Trump is attacking desantis again. I just, it's nauseating to think that Donald Trump is attacking desantis. And guess what he's attacking him over? A pitcher allegedly of Ron DeSantis at a party when he was in his 20s teaching at a high school in these girls in their 18s. In the 18th year, so according to the article that I'm reading right here from the article is just the New York. Is it The New York Times daily mail? The daily mail, according to the article, supposedly Ron DeSantis had just, let me read this because I don't want to mess it up. It says Rhonda Sanchez, which he's 44 now. Talk history and government at the Darlington school in Rome, Georgia during the 2001, 2002 year. He was fresh out of Yale at the time in students described him as smart, smug, charismatic, and a joke. And go on to talk about how, you know, there's a picture of him and it looked like there's some girls in the picture. And he just hanging out. Donald Trump, grabbing him about a nucky. And you mad at just, let me just say this. I want to go back real quick. Why is Donald Trump even worried about Ron DeSantis right now? Well, I know why he's worried. But if he wasn't worried, according to probably his logic, then he shouldn't be saying things like this about the sentence. Let's say hypothetically that Ron DeSantis was at a party with underage girls. And I say underage, meaning that he's in his 20s and air under 20. 18. But where does it say that he did anything to any of these women? Where is a person coming out of saying that they were raped by Ron DeSantis? Or that he grabbed him in the place they didn't want to be grabbed in. And you got to go all the way back to some picture, I don't know how many years ago. And Donald Trump, like, bro you got divorces? You cheating on women? You on the camera, hot mic to my grabbing people by the nookie. Donald, just stop, bro

"Peyton Manning can tell you, it can go away quickly. You can just snap your fingers and you don't have it anymore. So I think that that's a big part of it too. And yeah, I see a lot of people in the chat talking about some of the reports walking this back. Tom Brady, Adam schaefer and Jeff Darlington are not throwing out there that Tom Brady's retiring without a 100% certainty that Tom Brady is retiring. What's happening right now is that Tom Brady is peeved that he didn't get to control the narrative. 100%. He wanted to make the announcement on his own. He didn't want to get caught up in Adam Schefter and all these types of things that being leaked. So he's walking it back now so that tomorrow or later tonight, they can release a statement via TB 12 somewhere saying that he's retiring from the right from the horse's mouth. And a lot of ways, look, I'm a reporter. If I had to scoop that Tom Brady, was officially sure not to. I would have ran with it too. So I get Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington's perspective on it. They're doing their jobs. But in a lot of ways, I do feel like when it's a player of Tom Brady's caliber, he's maybe be differential. Yeah. He's kind of earned the right to announce the retirement on his own. And if you're Adam Schefter, do you really need the scoop like do you really need to break this news? I think you've broken enough news in your professional career. Again, I'm to defend it. I bet you he bought it. I bet he thought if I don't do it someone else will have it in ten seconds. So yeah, I would do it out there. I would not have hesitated if I had you on good faith that he was retiring. I would have said, said it as well. So I'm not, you know, I get it. Trust me, I get it. But in terms of these reports, Donny coming out and saying that the reports basically jumped the gun..

"Which still holds true that they need to knock this crap off because there are a lot of people in the middle, a lot of patriots fans who are going to be really torn up come Sunday Night and they should respect that. And it's part of the conversation that I have a little bit later with a special guest. I think that they've handled this week well so far. I would agree with you. One thing to be on the lookout for is a Jeff Darlington interview with Brady, I think that's going to be on Sunday on ESPN. So we'll see how that comes out. But I'm not surprised. I did not expect any dirt to be flown at each other this week. They're going to handle it professionally. They know what to do. Two on the field things quickly. James White officially done for the year. Do you think the Patriots look to acquire a running back Greg? I do not. I think they may down the line. I think they'll take, I think Stevenson, you know, gets off ice. And I think they go back to, all right, well, this is the way we plan things. Let's go back to it. He's been in the doghouse long enough. I think he gets back into the mix. I think JJ Taylor and also, look, we heard Ivan fears say that Stevenson might do some of James White's duties. That'll be interesting to see. I would rather see JJ Taylor. Get a chance. I thought I was 17. I thought his 17 yard run. They got called back on two holding penalties. Was really nice and I think it's just a taste of what he can do. And I think he's even better in the past game than people really understand at least from what we've seen in practice. So I don't think they're I don't think they're gonna do a move right now, maybe down the line. So one guy now off the field for the rest of the year with James White, one guy back on the field yesterday was Nikhil Harry. Greg, if he gets healthy, can he help this team? I think so Nick, I didn't see anything that sort of changed where we were towards the end of training camp in the 53 man roster, which is, you know, my stance from watching him all summer is Nikhil Harry is a good football player. And I think he can play good football for the Patriots. And they just need to figure out the right way to use him. And.

"Opening up the nascar cup series season with three wins in the opening. Twelve races martin. True ex junior went through a long dry spell when the weather warmed up. Well he's got his mojo back again. Winning the playoff race at richmond ending his summer slump a lot of tough lock and auto crashes and got caught in the rain a few times and some crazy things happen too so i felt like we brought goodspeed all summer. We had good cars for the most part other concrete tracks. Really kinda whipped us. But you never know how things are gonna go to x. Now joins teammate denny. Hamlin is around one winner. Who's locked up a spot in round two. Also clinching on points. Kyle larson trying to be one of the other nine drivers who are going to move on chase. Elliott is currently ranked seventh and fortunate to finish fourth at richmond following a problem pitstop when the reigning champ thought he had slid through his pit box so i just kind of took it upon myself to back up. Tj already hit the right side. Jack and at that point. I should know not to but obviously i wouldn't have broke the jack if i knew it was going to break the jack so i just didn't want to stop over the line. I thought that was just gonna make problems even worse so try to be cautious. Ended up hurting us. Worse after problems. At both darlington and richmond. Seventy five thirteen top tens and a sixteen point nine average finish. The average finishes are kind of starting to work their way back down to earth here. These next ones are good. All right now denny. Hamlin winner last week at darlington finally got off the snide looking to become a championship. Favourite three wins this race. Track fourteen five. Eighteen top tens an average. Finish of nine point. Oh and he was also a contributing factor to one of the most infamous finishes and richmond. History were bush dumped dale earnhardt. Jr. in two thousand eight i remember that had been for denny hamlin who cut a tire instead stayed on the track pacing around several laps and then finally caution. That's what set up that crazy finish. Wasn't that the. I think it was the ot. They had wings wings now. That's why red bull left nascar because we no longer had wings right. Maybe got rid of him. "At fifteen said. That's the steal of the draft. It's probably the guy who is most ready to play. Nfl quarterback right now of all the guys who were taken before. I think matt jones is going to have the most success of any rookie quarterback not just this year but probably for the next few years. And i just want to sort of throw that thought again. Jeff darlington because you made a really interesting point about that and it just speaks so much to the significance of the situation you wind up in. It's absolutely about the situation thinking about this three or four months ago before the draft at occurred we were sitting here saying if the forty niners take mac jones with the third overall pick. That is the biggest reach dropped history. Suddenly now he's the biggest steal of the draft the over opposite of analysis and it all doesn't have to situation because if mack jones gets drafted by another team. We're not sitting here. Drew brees certainly isn't sitting there saying that it's all about fit and suddenly mack jones fitting with the patriots make sense when we talk about him being a potential steal of the draft and so again with fit being the most important part. Jeff saturday do you agree with the most important part of what he's saying. He will have mac jones of the five rookie quarterback drafted in round one. We'll have the most success not just as a rookie but probably for the next few years. Do you agree with that. i do. I think he's going to push for offensive rookie of the year this year. And you'll hear this now. This agree give it a black flag and you get this. All right can start with hermes sadler since he drove so far. All right all right at least to pass. Champions will be eliminated in round one. A green flag have to elaborate is just because his that kind a year. It's just been crazy. And what you see and i just got this feeling that this year is gonna be different and strange and upside down and Surprise after surprise a green flag me. Right alexis ericsson. Yeah i'm gonna go black flag actually Certainly could happen. But i don't see it happening especially at around one now round two. Perhaps that could definitely happen. But there's just some other guys Down at the bottom of round one that are that are not past champions. I think are gonna go up. I all right. What do you think doug rice. I'm going to agree with her. Sadler and say green flag. I could easily see a couple of past champions stumbling over the next couple of races. Kabua's all but said he's given up on his team so he could be one of them and who else could suffer that same kind of fate. So i agree to to one so far. Brad gilly what do you think. I think the gentleman to my left and my right are crazy. One pass. that's true. Look i think kyle busch goes out You go back and look at his history and he has melted down in the first race of several playoffs before and that literally just set the tone for him not even be able to compete for a title. So i would say one but not to all right. Alliance is having my back here you go. You're you're up next on this. When alexis darlington will not be the last attrition race in the round of sixteen. Oh gosh yeah green flag. I mean we're going to richmond and we're going to bristol in those are racetrack. Second call is high. High attrition High tempers high everything. So yes i say green flag. I do not think darlington. We'll be the only one that will see multiple multiple playoff drivers suffering. Ill fates. I'm gonna bet doug agrees with you. Do i do agree wholeheartedly. Green flag. I thank the folks up to bristol need to order a couple of extra records and maybe a backup role black. Because there's gonna be some torn up sheet metal there brad geli oh green flag all the way we look. We have nine hundred laps of racing still left in this round. I don't know that it's necessarily gonna be richmond but stranger things can happen to doug point. I think speedway children's charities is going to have a lot of sheet metal auctioned off after bristol. all right. how about her me. Sadler black flag. Whoa oh woo. You know the reason. I say that number one i want to disagree with everybody else because it makes a good radio and television and all that but number two these teams and drivers that have dubbed themselves. This whole at darlington. They can't race aggressively as much as they. Maybe would like to so. I think we're going to see not trying to not sale tickets for these tracks. But i think you're going to see drivers that are trying to come back or dig back out of that hole to be a little bit more conservative at richmond and bristol. Maybe so then If they could just take the reins off or they might have to be desperate at bristol. Good point but that's not part of my narrative bristol baby all right dirt left meredith. Love that all right. Let's go to doug rice. I on this one. After not winning a race in the regular season denny. Hamlin will go back to back with a victory in richmond this weekend. Good that happen. I wanna say green flag. Why not yeah. Let let the guy go ahead and that takes away another race from somebody else that needs one guaranteed to advance. I like i like that to use hermes word narrative. How about a brad guilty. I will say black flag not just disagree with doug but i don't think he goes back to back. I think there are people right now. Who are way better on short tracks denny hamlin even though this is his home track and i know he's won a lot of raises here. I'll say black flags can be someone else saturday even her me. What are you saying Black flag. I said earlier matt narrative earlier in the show was dinnie. Is he's good richmond to stats. How Does William Byron Prep for the Coke 600?

"So how does william byron prepare for the longest race of the nascar season coming up this weekend. I just hydrate differently. You're more throughout the week. Honestly and i think you know the as far as it goes like effort in the car. I think the six hundred is maybe not the highest effort race because of the way the track is. And you know it's not there's not a ton of bump content or content. Maybe to kind of song wheel. Would i'd say atlanta darlington would be harder so no i don't think physically you do much. I think it you know. Eating and hydrating is a little bit different. Because i feel like throughout the race. You need more fluids and then you also need to kind of eat at some point during the race whether it's energy choose or stuff like that. So and what is william that other race going down this weekend. The indianapolis five hundred. I think as i grown appreciation for racing in general. And as i've as i've learned some of the folks over on our garside with You know the training guys us with pit fit. Jim leo they. They trained scott dixon. And some of those guys up there. And i try to get the end of the race as we get ready for the six hundred. Just kind of varies based on timing. But but yeah. I think it's cool. It's really cool. Data to have both of us

Darlington: Martin Truex Jr. Remains the NASCAR Dominator

"To get your take darlington. Kyle martin tricks junior the winner. Yes only driver with multiple victories in the twenty twenty one season now. Three victories at tracks will play host to the playoff opener. That starling to the round of eight finale. That's martinsville and the championship race phoenix. He's one at all three of those places. So i know twelve races in were third of the way in the season. So it's not too early to make overexuberance yes prediction. Never too early is mark tricks junior. At this point the unquestioned championship favourite mean feels like. Oh yes and i honestly. I've not seen anybody rise to that challenge yet on a consistent basis only on a consistent basis how many years we went through. It's the big to this battle of the titans they'd coming out right and then a couple years ago. It became the big three. You know and now it's the big lebowski. It's the one guy you know what i mean. It is the one guy that's all that's really the first. He's the only guy in the first two races that has raised his hand and said. Hey i'm the gatt come get me come get me so i mean i think he's unquestionably the guy that everybody is shooting at right

It's been a long day, The fair was on the splitter early. It was very, very low. So the rest of the day loose enough now, so he slapped the outside safer barrier damage on the right side and just had to come down for an unscheduled pit stop. As the right rear damage on the car. They needed to make sure that they have the fenders up off from the tire. So you're right. A long day for Brad Kozlowski continues today and garlic and he's the one that led the field a green But boy, it's been backward ever since about 75 laps or so ago, Jeff A moody gave us his official unofficial Darlington stripe count, and it was only at seven. That number. I am a feared has grown. I would imagine it probably has, Dave could economist they come by? No, I cannot jump. Hey, there under green and going a little bit fast. How Bush maybe. Oh, no. Never mind. I thought Kyle Busch had a problem. But that was Brad Kozlowski past him like he was tied to a tree on those new tires. All is well with Kyle Busch. And yes, there are more Darlington strikes. I'll count them for you under caution if you want. I would like that. Brad Kozlowski, by the way, three laps down here at Darlington, a former winner here How I can't even imagine how frustrating it has to be. Then you come to pit road. You get these brand new tires and all of a sudden you're the fastest car on the track. And yet you remind yourself I am not in contention. It's been a miserable day. I wish you would end I want to go home and That we still have 125 laps to soldier on. Yeah, and it's certainly not an excuse and we'll bring Steve posting on this. What are they saying about their race called the biggest thing between him and his crew chief Todd Gordon, Of course, getting together and started becoming this year that communication is getting their son has talked to him earlier today for the race, he was talking about the fact that he has sometimes kind of bring Ryan back down a little bit. So he's been able to work with him on the communication to get the little deliver the message of what they need to make the race car a little bit better. "Is darlington throwback weekend where you're going to see paint schemes or vinyl wrap schemes honestly from many eras of nascar racing. The place is called the lady in black the track too tough to tame and drivers race each other instead of the race track. They will most certainly earn a darlington stripe on the side of their car. it's race number twelve. We've had ten different winter so far in eleven races. "You can only use one springsteen song a time which is tough because You could almost make the argument any positive question. You could pick for any of them. You know so Do you wanna give me any general thoughts about how well you pick these. Did you just immediately know. Or how much deliberation jude said. I've got to tell you today. I put myself in the seat of all of the guests on that one podcast. Who has struggled to come up with one lyric. Because i struggled to come up with one answer to these eleven life questions I did go back especially for the first question. And listen back to a couple of different songs. Because i wanted to Not have my preconceived perception or conception of a song without really having some basis for it. So i did a little bit of research by listening to a couple of songs and had a little Lightning round in my office here. So okay very nice. Well we always start kind of with a negative but that's is what's a song you hate or in parentheses. You don't get Case you don't want to Say something there is a springsteen song that you use the h word about well. It's a great question right. Because i'm trying not to use the word hate in my life in general bright and if i could roll up to the answer that would help me kind of at least give you a little of the choreography of how i got there right so waiting on a sunny day. How can i hate that when it brings so much joy to people and when my friend anne marie daughter savvy actually was up on stage on bruce's shoulder fist pumping to waiting on a sunny day. So i can't eight that born in the usa. We or conflicted with this song. I'm not gonna hate it. Because i've been in italy with eighty thousand fans who just went absolutely bonkers for it Ramrod in darlington county. I'm i'm just not a nascar kinda guy and when those songs come up and everyone goes crazy. I almost linked to songs. I don't like are the ones that to me. I don't get why everybody's going crazy for them. But i get it. You know ramrod darlington county. You know you're in some honky tonk bar and all fun but i did listen to this last one that i think is the song that i dislike. The most there goes my miracle. Okay all right and some of it is that you know. It's almost seems like bruce's doing this. Operatic kind of a broad big big voice. And i don't know i just either don't get it. Don't appreciate it. But i don't think he plays it too often live so perhaps there's something to that. Okay very good What is a song you think is overrated. A this one. I will go to born in the usa and probably because it is the song and the album. That wrought bruce into such a mainstream place. Frankly it really it really jetson him into more of the mainstream and you know when our favorite people go mainstream. We kinda don't always love it right. It's like oh really you guys you guys love it and you don't get why you don't love the first two albums and that bruce with the muscle shirt and the headband. You know that seemed to be jingoistic or just Mtv playing to that kind of crowd. So i say it's overrated because of how highly rated so many people make especially live..

What they're saying: Philadelphia Eagles, Wentz or other teams — who has the leverage?

"All about away. Bought away by the way. The miami dolphins got their guy. I just meant they got us. That dude is they got a guy young guy so let's put some. what are we talking about. Let's put the question. Then this way. And by the way i would say this right now to are coordinating producer. Pete mcconville and our producer. Allie grenade. i don't understand how we do not yet have a feature called jeff saturday. Who's high this week. I mean every week jeff. Hester name that's got to become a tuesday stable. Is this week. We make a segment out of everything on this show but markets very quickly. If the dolphins get forgetting about guam if the dolphins get to shawn watson are they the biggest threat to kansas city in the afc next year. Yeah they are. And i know i say that because i saw were buffalo did. But i'm taking the sean before. I take josh allen and their defense. I'm taking miami. Defense with the sean. Look the inspire football. You play when you have a guy at that position that you know you can't win wit. It takes it to a different level. I love how floor is coaching. But i do think that sometimes going in and out with fits magic and into mayor. Put this team in kabul unknown territory. About what their identity was offensively and the defense never had a question. About what their identity. Would you bring this on. You answer that question. That's our quarterback. Raise the level of play of everybody around you. Oh and yeah let me tell you why. Because he threw for the most yards went out of number one receive on team this year. That's how good he is. Listen this is a no brainer. I would love to see desha watson and josh allen go toe-to-toe for years to come in that division and see who can make it out and then get the kansas city potentially in the afc championship bottom line in miami. They've been trying to find the next dan marino for twenty years. They thought maybe you're still may have him into a tunga vilo but shawn watson is as much more. A known commodity will see if that plays out. Meanwhile quarterback rumors are everywhere including these that the eagles wanna move carson wentz. We know that. What kind of market are they. Finding darlington has the very latest. It could be very interesting. Plus lebron james having another mvp caliber season. You'll hear why jay williams thinks he should win the academy award as well. That's on the way this is get up on. Espn do you own. Read your home share. You and i bet it can be hard work. You know it's easy bundling policies with geico geico makes it easy to bundle your homeowner's or renter's insurance along with your auto policy. It's a good thing too because you already have so much to do around your home. Go to geico dot com. Get a quote and see how much you could save. Its gyco easy visit. Geico dot com. Today that's geico dot com on. We go get up. And another of the quarterback trade sagas continues this one involving that main carson wentz whom league sources believe is on the way out of philadelphia and the eagles may also explore options with his longtime tight. Ends zach ertz. Perhaps philly could include ertz in a wentz package to maximize trade value. Words has one year and eight point. Two five million dollars left on his contract it look. There's a whole lot of speculation in jeff darlington insider here. I'll start with you as to why no deal has been worked out with wentz yet and one of the ways that i look at it from afar is maybe eagles. Just overestimate what it is. People might be willing to give up for wentz at this point when you consider the contract that he has. It's essentially the same circumstance as jared goff in los angeles and the rams had to pay a team to take him off their hands. So is that how similar or those situations and could that be. What's holding this thing up. Well very possible. Greedy speaking with a source with the eagles who certainly understand everything. That's going on with this deal. And you know the one thing that he said. I said what's the holdup here in his answers february sixteenth. Today lear doesn't even start for another month by a bunch of exclamation points and there is something certainly to that. March nineteenth is the date that they'd have to decide on paying him. That ten million dollar rostov on this. This is the runway that they're working with now. Of course you do want to make sure that you make the most of your leverage multiple teams involved. You don't wanna lose one of those teams and then Maybe cost yourself some compensation from that other team but we can point out here that This this source also told me that there is no no trade clause in carson wentz deal so it doesn't really matter say he wants to go to the colts but they're getting more compensation from the bears. They could just send him to the bears. It wouldn't be a problem

"It's Sunday morning on ESPN radio as we continue to count you down the week 17 70 minutes away. Let's check in with what's going on with Buffalo, Mikey C. All units head feels 10 and five Miami 12 and three Buffalo. The Dolphins can clinch a playoff berth with a win. The Bills are a F C East champs trying to lock up that number to see Jeff Darlington is there. In Buffalo. Jeff, How much did the bills care about this game? And who are they going to play today? Yeah, I love this week because it's all about some teams trying to get in and some teams deciding whether they want to play for seeding. But I could tell you based on my conversations with the bills. Sources are that they indeed want the two seed. They're playing for the two seed and will start most of their starters. Accordingly. Josh Allen upon digs will be in this game. They are resting three defensive starters. I'm told Because they feel really good about their backups in that situation. So the key, though, here to remember they're playing for the two seed. So if the Steelers, for instance, to arresting their starters and have decided they're okay with the 3 ft. Get rolled by the Browns early. Then I could see the bills making decisions, say at halftime to pull their dies. But if it's anything close in Cleveland between the Steelers and the Browns, And then I see Josh Allen playing there. The entirety of this game. Jeff on the other side. You've got a situation where Fitzpatrick is out because of covert, and that's significant for this game. But what does it possibly mean for next weekend's game? Well, you know, First of all, the Dolphins have to do one thing and find a way into the playoffs. The wind gets then in and there's some certain circumstances that if they leave, they can also did in With that being said. It's on to it. I mean, he's for really the first time. You know, we kind of thought it was two a time early in the season, but this is really the first time when it's on his shoulders completely. One thing I've heard from dolphins is that they don't feel like his confidence has been hurt at all from from getting bench in the fourth quarter last week, for instance, after that, when two it was excited as anybody in the locker room he was fine with it seemed okay. He has a very good self awareness on guy think that he'll be okay. Mentally the question those if you're good enough physically at this point, the simple question is he good enough. And and that's What this team will find out today in what suddenly feels like will be a very competitive date for him entering the fourth quarter of Darlington in Buffalo, Jeff, Thanks for doing this, we appreciate as always, Thanks, guys appreciate it. Jeff Darlington, Miami and Buffalo today. By the way, the Dolphins lead the NFL in scoring defense. They were worst in the NFL Last year. They got gave up. 31 points a game last year, 18 points a game. This year. Coach Flores, coach of the year. Just give it to him. Now, let's go to Philadelphia Big game tonight. Washington and Philadelphia. Washington win and you're in win and you win the division, the NFC East or six and nine, trying to get that seventh win would finish it below 500, But nobody cares they would be in to the playoffs. Sal Pal Is there just how would you characterize the dynamic of this match appear Sao Paulo. He got an Eagles team that is still trying to find out who the quarterback is going to be moving forward in the Washington team, starting Alex Smith with a chance to get to the postseason. Well, it's all about the Washington football team. You see the number of players that the Eagles are not playing in this game. And Carson Wentz is expected to be a healthy scratch tonight. So Jalen hurts, And then maybe some, Nate said Cell So there's a lot of changes coming down the pike for Philadelphia in 2021. Having talked to run Rivera a lot this season there and talking to him last night when they arrived in Philadelphia, you know he is sort of really seconds home for this entire franchise that's been in unprecedented upheaval..

How are you so confident to run up there at such a young age? Well Great Valentine's in the simulator? We tire out of the tires. I was really surprised that even worked in the simulator and obviously we all know de Hamlin makes a credible amount of time even more inexpensive expanding cars than than a cup car but with today star fall off that we saw that line came into play really early and I was almost scared like what Danny likes joke about is. I don't want to use it too much and show my hand but it was so Dang fast at times that it was it was it was hard not to run in it but we definitely for sure about halfway through the race made a few wrong adjustments and it allowed everybody else to catch up to us but I mean I got braces Darlington race.
