Let's kind of pick things up where we left off with Logan, Wilson and Day by, Um He's one of those guys and I know it's cliche that that old football cliche and nose for the football but man, there is so much to like about him, and it's cleared the organization and the coaches like him enough. They moved on from Josh Bynes and just more opportunities for him, and, um he's rewarding the faith they've shown in him. He's taken on all challenges and answering him. He's got the green dot on the helmet. That means he's wearing the community. Location device. He's he's talking to the coaches on the sideline. He's making the calls, and he's very intelligent. He's a really, really good football player. He's got, uh, real good football like you when he was in high school. He was basically Jim Thorpe heated everything. I mean, he played defensive back. He played quarterback He played running back. He was the punter is the place kicker. I think he sold popcorn and peanuts. I mean, he did everything. And then, as he got more mature, goes to Wyoming and gets more Children and he starts to grow and training table and working out with strength and conditioning, Coaches linebacker but His experiences on the back end initially. Told him a lot about leverages and coverages and route concepts and all that. So as a linebacker. This guy is really good in the passing game because he has that big picture from on the back end, and now he's upper level and he's big enough and strong enough to come downhill and make plays. In and I really think he's got a really bright future. I think he's a hell of football player. I think he's a playmaker, and I think he's going to make a lot of this season. He had seven tackles on the day. Um Bates led the team with nine tackles. Pratt had eight debates, and Pratt had six unassisted tackles. Pratt, though statutes stuff or tackle philosophy, quarterback hit forced fumble fumble recovery, one of the biggest players in the game. Wilson had seven tackles. Bell had seven tackles and then four others had six. Apple Ogunjobi Rougier Hilton. Allen had five. You have that many four different people with sticks, tackles in a bunch of guys from 6 to 9 tackles. You're talking eight players. That's that's not lying on one guy. That's everybody doing their job and making plays when the opportunity presented itself in their area of the football field, you know, I'm pretty. You read off all he did to stuff the stat sheet that was on 37 defensive snaps. He also had 17 on special teams. But the thing with print we've talked about this before. It's good to hear all those numbers he stuffed into the statute because there have been times in the past that Germaine Pratt just seemed like he was out there. It was just playing a snap, and there was nothing to it. Beyond that. Those stats say there was a lot more to it yesterday. I think he's I think that's a great point. Lance, I think he's playing with so much more confidence. And he's got swag Now he didn't have swag. I mean, look, I guess a good word to describe him was tentative, You know, And you don't want to be that way on a football field, And when you look at him, his size speed ratio is off the charts. I mean, the dudes are freak. He's one of those athletic freak so I think that when you look at Wilson and Pratt the size of those guys the way they can run in the nickel package, those two guys that's as good a duo Nickel linebacker as you can really ask for, and they're two and three year players. I mean, they're in the infancy of their NFL careers. But there were some workhorses yesterday and the day it was hot. I'm looking at the game book 83 defensive snaps easier in on all 83 bell in on all 83 Apple took 82 snaps. Bates took 82 snaps. That's got to be a grind on a day that goes over time, the heat all opener of the season. That's asking a lot of those guys deliver. They delivered big time. And when you look at it, uh, cousins what did he end up throwing on the on the day? I mean his final stats. On the day that the 49 times 36 or 49 almost threw it 50 times. That's a lot of routes you running after. I mean, that's like, you know, it's not like a team that, uh, it's not like the Baltimore Ravens running it, you know 45 times and only thrown at 20. It's the other way around. I mean, you know they're throwing it thrown at a heck of a lot more than they're running the football and that's that's a lot of work. That's a lot of, uh, you know, deep routes, at least at least one person in most places running a deep routes. If they're going to do that, with Joe, That's obviously going to be what everybody is viewing the most important factor in the offseason addressing the offensive line in the draft in free agency, perhaps both they're gonna have to take some swings and they can't be swings and misses and free agency. They have to be swings and they have to be extra base hits in free agency. I'm not so sure it doesn't have to. The first one doesn't have to be a home run in free agency, and they're gonna have to take some swings and deliver extra base hits in the draft again. His team won two games two years ago. Four games this year in answering the question what has to happen in 2021? For exact view? The season is a success. If all of those air done all of those must be done, and then success will be a winning season as the first step beyond that, If it's nine or 10 wins, the rest is out of your control in terms of Whether you're gonna make the playoffs or not, But there's a lot of interesting questions inside of all of that, and I hit on someone with J, including William Jackson, third or Carl Lawson. Everybody wants the Bangles to go big and go bold and free agency and they did a year ago for $150 million in free agency, and the results were mixed bag, but they've got to. They've got to figure out how they're going to approach. William Jackson, the third and Carl Lawson. It is a passing league. This guy's got a trend up and up it up and just get better. And there were moments in the past couple of years where William Jackson just if he wasn't hurt. He was just kind of He was just there. And you can't just be there you get you gotta make plays. I mean, he's a reputation in Houston was he got his hands on the ball. He batted out a lot of passes. He picked off a lot of passes. He was a playmaker, and he just he hasn't made Don't think he's made the place that you would have thought a first round corner would have made to this point. So if it's one of the other, it's Carl Lawson. You know what else has to take place in order for this season to be successful? Their best players have to play their best. But I go back to what just happened this past season And if you look simply from a Monetary standpoint, a cap standpoint of what they spent. The chunk of the cap it took up. And what they got in return. The classic return on investment mean AJ Green $18 million What did they get out of a J. Green? I think there were four weeks he did not have a catch during the season. Gino Atkins. Next at 14.2 Million. What do they get out of Gino Atkins? Zip zilch. Nata, limited snaps and one pressure. I think one tackle the entire season. DJ reader got hurt the big offseason investment. He'll be back had the thigh injury, but that was 10 Million. They spent Trae Waynes 10 million counted this year. Bobby Hart, Don't even get me started. Carlos Dunlap. Don't even get me started there. And I mean, that's 1234. Those air six guys those of the six biggest cap hits and what what production did they get combined out of Green Atkins Reader, Wayne's Heart and Dunlap and you can't win in the NFL. If your best players don't perform their best. Release your highest paid players in theory, your best players because you're devoting that kind of money to him. But you had. You know, Sean Williams didn't play much. His cap. It was around five. You know, John Ross around five million. See Jay Oussama got hurt. He was closer to six million. Joe mixing got hurt, and we didn't hear from him. For what? The final how many games of the season and that was about four million on the cap. Jonah Williams got hurt.
