"It doesn't seem like they were. And so now an offensive line that we already had questions to begin with, now you look at it and say, well, even more questions. You know, does Trent Brown slide the left tackle? Does he, you know, do you move harran's left tackle? Now you have to maybe hope and cross your fingers that stupor can be some kind of depth piece almost right away versus developing him over the next year. You've got to hope that maybe Heinz is ready to kind of step in if you need him. So it puts the pressure on every other offensive lineman. David Andrews is not out there right now. You know, he's missed some of the OTAs. If not all of them. So, you know, there are questions about this O line and we had him before the draft and I think we have even more of them right now, which is not where you want to be with this football team. And of course, you look back, Greg, at that 2018 draft, you had two first round picks. And right now that draft doesn't look so good. No. You could have already traded Sony Michelle could very well trade Isaiah win and Sony Michelle certainly a good you would say that this both about both of them. Good solid players. First round picks? No, probably not. I mean, they could have had, we've talked about it for could have had Darius Leonard could have had Nick Chubb could have had DJ Moore. Can you just imagine this team with Darius Leonard at linebacker out of that draft? Nick Chubb, you know, could have been your feature running back if you wanted that Mark Andrews, the tight end in Baltimore and went in the third round in that draft. You know, it just reminds me it reminds me a lot of the 2015 brewing giraffe where they had those three first round picks and it's sort of like, you know, you get those multiple first round picks, your banking on, this has got to be the baseline, the base of our future for this team. And both teams just were not effective enough with those picks. And they're both paying the price.

"In Devin Booker's hands, they're really not playing campaign in this series at all, much at all. So he's been missing in action. And so by definition, that's going to put more on Devin Booker's shoulders, but they defended him a different way that really worked. In this last game, so I mean, that's the bad is that y'all gonna wake up? Chris Paul, are you still Chris Paul? Is it cliff Paul? So that's the question the thing you feel good about, the only thing you feel good about among all these things is that the series has seemed to really, really take on a different cadence and tone depending on where the games are being played. So for a game, I'm 7. Yeah, exactly. And I mean, to be real with you, the games really haven't been that close, at least, you know, there have been situations where the game was close for three quarters, and then a team pulls away. But the games have not been all that competitive, depending on where the game is being played. So you feel good from that standpoint, but that's not something that you really want to rest your laurels on. It really does feel like there's going to be need to be something schematically that you're trying to do here. If you're Phoenix, like I said, Dallas kind of retorted in game 6 after watching Booker just hunt guys in game 5 Luca game 5 a lot of times. They had a different pick and roll coverage for game 6. And so I'm not sure what Phoenix responds with. What I would love to see on some level, which is not really schematic as much as it is just like, let's do something different. You and I have talked a lot. About Devin Booker and how aggressive he is in first quarters and how much he scores in first quarters. Chris Paul did nothing in the last game in game one. I don't even know that he took a shot. I think the only thing he had on his box score other than minutes played was a turnover and game one. Our in game 6 in the first quarter, I think. I'd have to go back and look specifically. We're used to seeing him kind of save the best for last. Part of me would like to see him kind of get going. I mean, this is a total departure from what he normally does. But part of me would like to see him get going and the early stages of the game just so that you're not getting a flat performance from him. Set the tone early you can't knock a team out with Chris Paul going off in the first quarter, but I'd like to see him be more aggressive. He's just been really off. He's throwing passes that are kind of out. There was a play in the last game or the game before that where he had a really clear left handed layup that he just threw a pass after he got all the way to the basket. It was weird. He was throwing passes from half court out to the corner and Spencer Dinwiddie of all people is like stepping in front. It's just weird. Weird vibes, you would hope that being at home really breaks that. But like I said, I'm not comfortable resting on that. So I mean, game 7s are always weird anyway or have the potential to be. So I don't feel great about it. I mean, I would pick them for game 7, but I certainly don't feel good about it. I certainly don't feel good anytime that Chris Paul looks like he's out of a rhythm for this long of a stretch because we almost never see it. I can't remember the last time we've really seen it. Yeah. CP also fell late in the game on his hand. I don't know what the latest is on that, something maybe to keep an eye on. Going forward and frankly kinas defense on him has been excellent for ten minutes a game in this series. I kind of feel like they're hunting Luca too much. It's not who they are. And this is kind of a give and take with the idea of hunting a week individual defender in the postseason. Like, Phoenix during the regular season had a great offense 'cause they just ran their stuff and they out executed you and stack pick and roll. Side pick and rolls, the DH shows with 8 and guys would make angle cuts baseline cuts. They could space the floor. And they just always kept moving the ball and just kind of churning through their offense, going from action to action to action until you made a mistake. And they're not really doing that. Or they didn't really do that much in game 6. And it's like, I know they ran a ton of pick and roll with CP and 8 and you have to credit Dallas's defense there. They threw everything. Every type of coverage you can really have at that pick and roll and I thought the weak side help was excellent all game. They would switch and they would front whoever was on CP would switch front 8 and then there would be help on the backside. Sometimes they messed it up and Nate and scored over the top, but I thought that that strategy was working really well for Dallas. But I guess my point is just when you look at kind of the offensive rating for Phoenix, which has been really bad in these losses. It's like, maybe you should just go back to what got you here. Credit Dallas's defense for what they're doing and how hard they're playing and being versatile and big and being able to switch and all that is really, it's mucking up a lot of what Phoenix does, but just like stop hunting Luca. I know it sounds really silly. Do it in spots. You don't need to do it on every single play. You're bringing Jay Crowder into the action. That's really not great for you. He's Jay Crowder at the end of the day. So that's just an observation that I have. After watching game 6. Yeah, no, I mean, it's the truth. And. Too much of anything can be a bad thing. When you start naturally going outside of, it's almost like a game of horse or something where you're like, you start calling particular shots or saying that you're going to do this, as opposed to just doing it, just playing the game. Especially when Jason Kidd discredit, which by the way, I, a lot of people throughout the season before the season thought that Jason Kidd would be a bad fit for Dallas. It's just the first year we have to see more. He's been I mean, they've done really well. This is not a team that I think of as being not strong defensively. They don't have a whole lot of individual defenders. Reggie Bullock and obviously Dorian Finney Smith, we know about. But other guys have kind of, they're more than the sum of their parts, I think. Jason Kidd has had a really good game plan for them. He's had really good rebuttals in this series, including the one that I mentioned before about game 6. So when Dallas and Jason Kidd are making it more difficult intentionally for you to be able to hunt people, you might actually get to them, but still may not have a great advantage there. And when you think about how well this offense plays when the ball is just popping and guys are open, I mean, we can talk about that too when we talk about the series. I was counting it up before the podcast started. We're talking about a 93 point difference in this series so far through 6 games. In terms of how much they've been outscored by from three and the free throw difference, which we know Phoenix is a team that does not get to the line that much because of the types of shots they're getting from mid range often. But they're getting killed from the three point line. That's the big, big difference. Certainly on the road for Phoenix, you're hoping that that doesn't get as out of whack in a game 7 at home, but you can't really afford to have possessions where you're trying so hard to make something work when you might be able to get a better shot just running your normal offense. No question. Yeah, so I really don't have anything else to say about this series. I mean the three point line disparity is humongous as you pointed out and shit, but it should have been like the lead of this conversation. When Dallas shoots a lot of threes and makes a lot of threes there really hard to beat and Reggie Bullock was the guy last night, Dorian Finney Smith was the guy in game 5 game 5, was it? Yeah, I don't even remember. I'm not good at remembering individual games in a series. It's not my skill. But he had a big game earlier in this series. And so if you're able to hit threes on the road in Phoenix and Luca's stabbing people up, then I feel pretty good about the Mavs that said, I.

"Well, except for Carson Wentz and quite Nelson because they had their foot injuries. Injuries is another big deal. You know, they had a lot of key injuries across the team, Darius Leonard played on that bad ankle, his whole season, but teams deal with injuries. Teams, every team had to deal with COVID. Every team had to deal with injuries. Every team had to deal with with things, and the colts just at times were not able to do so. And so really, what I have to blame is just the team did not step up when it needed to step up. And that's all it is. That's all you can do. Could you argue that the colts underachieved, but not as much as we think, where I don't think the colts were a Super Bowl team. I thought they were a playoff team that underachieved by their season ended maybe three weeks earlier than it should have, right? Because and you can three weeks is not that long. In three games, that's two more Wednesday probably should have had on the whole year, right? And I think you could argue, well, they started the year with Carson injured..

We have colts, up to -7 over the Raiders, but we can get a little ambitious with the money line. So wait, real quick on cam Akers. Everyone's fantasy championships. It's Thursday. Everyone's like, should I start cam Aker? Please don't. That's a playoff move. Advise against. Yeah. Colts raiders, so the Raiders, I called them the Michael Myers of this season, where we've thought we killed them off three times and we just haven't been able to do it yet. And they're certain types of games, they've been frisky underdogs. Where you kind of know it as it's happening, and then there's other games where you're like, the two chiefs games specifically where you're like, wow, this team blows. Yeah. I like this cold spot. I like that it's a must win game. It seems like we'll have once back in time because they changed the COVID rules. And it feels like the colts can run on them now. Should we be afraid of the Raiders in this game? How are you feeling about colts raiders, colts -7, but just the colts to win if we had the colts money line? Have you been watching hard knocks at all or no? I have not. I'm not saying to go binge it now, but you might want to pick the call to win the Super Bowl watching hard knocks. Like that is how much you love Frank Reich and this coaching staff. They're just dealing with shit from all over. No Quentin Nelson, his response is like, all right, that's fine. We got a really good offensive line. Let's go. They're special teams coach. Bubba ventrone, who is with the Patriots for years on their staff, is like one of these high energy, like nothing can stop us. We can overcome. They didn't have Quentin Nelson, Ryan Kelly, Darius Leonard, or anybody on that offensive line on Saturday, and it was like, it wasn't like, oh, we can overcome it was more just like no big deal. That was as good a throw as anyone has thrown in the NFL this season and it's like, gosh, if Taylor can still run for a hundred yards with four offensive lineman down and Wentz just has to make one or two throws, this might be the team that finds a way to win no matter what. And I look at this squad what they've been through. They're getting back Nelson. They're getting back Leonard. They're getting back a lot of guys. I don't know if wence plays on Sunday. I've got friends who have been the shit kicked out of them from COVID. And we're just saying, all right, well, there's new rules. 5 days, he'll be 5 days after being unvaccinated with COVID. I'm not sure if he's gonna be able to go Sunday. We'll check in on how he's feeling. Technically he can be out there. But that just is like the story of their season. And I would not bet against them in this game. Not the way. So does that. Does the Wednesday make you want to stay away from this? Are you the way? No, I'm fine. I don't care if it's when 50% or Sam ellinger. I feel like they'll find a way to win. Here's just a quick look for the listeners at the Raiders. The Raiders are three and 5 in their last 8 games. The three wins were the overtime Thanksgiving game against Dallas, which was the worst officiated game. Not only the year, but maybe over the last three years, you have the two point win over Cleveland on the Monday, which was the bizarre COVID game, which they almost lost that one anyway. And then you have last Sunday, which would be better. We took them. We took them and it was more about against drew luck who was this terrible as advertised. And the Fangio drew a combo, which they ran like they ran 40 plays total, which was close to an NFL record of minimum plays. So those are their three wins. There are 5 losses. Lost at the Giants by 7. Lost to the chiefs by 27, lost in the Bengals by 19 lost to Washington by two. Lost to the chiefs by 39. I don't think the Raiders are good. No Waller lost rugs forever. Offensively, it's a lot of Renfro and some Jacobs and then car depending on the quarter. Pretty good pass rush, a couple good guys on the front line. I like that Crosby. Yeah, I like Crosby's Crosby jumps out every time you watch, but it's cool. It just feels like the colts if they're really going to be. That colts also need the game. Yes. It's not like the coasts can be like, ah, yeah, it's sort of this out. It's like a must win for the country. Forget the division. Like, wild card wise. Both teams need it. I mean, the Raiders, I think I could be wrong with the Raiders win out and they've got to win the last two games. I think they make the playoffs. It's a very strange season. It feels like it's been 18 months. It's just been 18 weeks. But I think Colton at home, that place rocking. Nelson back. Leonard back. Sorry. I got to go cults. So we'll have the colts. We're going to team with the rams just on the ravens quick. The ravens are three and 6 in their last 9. They're -48 in those games. They've fallen in 19th and DVA. What's interesting is they be like, well, Lamar's been out. It's not Lamar. It's the defense. They're 28th in DVA defense. The rams are fourth overall. There's 7 6 and 5 in the three categories. "Where the game starts. All right, Greg, thanks. Let's go back to the colts. And just talk about big picture takeaways. Things that worried you the most about the Patriots in this game. Okay. I mean, number one is just sort of like a pet peeve that's sort of been in the back of my mind all season and you notice it every once in a while. But between hunter Henry, especially in this game, we talked about the fourth and one play. I think it could also be argued that the Darius Leonard interception, that Mac Jones was actually hoping to go to hunter Henry earlier after what he did was he faked left to move Darius Leonard, which he did move and it opened up the middle of the field. The problem was Mac one of the throw the ball and hunter Henry still has his freaking head down, and he's running his route instead of like looking like, oh, maybe he wants to put it on me a little bit early. Maybe it's not going to go as planned as exactly as we had it written up. And I think that Mac Jones almost like double clutched on that interception. To me, but the fourth and one play. Spread out and I've seen this before in other games. Hunter Henry is running his route his heads down, Greg Olson did a great job on the telecast pointing it out that he said, man, you gotta get your head around. Like, you don't have that much time. Like bang, Bing, bang, boom. Like, sometimes Mac Jones has all outputs this coming out of him and hunter Henry's like got his head down, Jacoby Myers is doing like 18 different moves to try to get open and there's a couple things that play in this. As opposed to like, say, Julian Edelman and Rob Gronkowski in those spots. Julian and adelson and those guys are better. They could just get open. They didn't need to do fancy footwork and run this route. Like they just, they could get open quicker. They could get rid of man coverage. And these guys just can. It shows their bit of their limitation, even though I think hunter Henry is very good, especially in the scene. So, you know, I'm just sick and tired of that and needs to change. It's on, if Brady was here, it wouldn't be going on. It takes Mac Jones getting those guys in order, but he's a rookie that's not going to happen this year, but and he has more fist your fry with what's going on in the field. So I'm sure that's something that will build as a years go on. All right, what else what else do you like here?.

"We knew that they were going to play for four quarters and we knew it was going to be a battle. And that's exactly what we got. That's what he said in that postgame. Locker room speech after the game on patriots dot com. So they knew that this was going to be a dogfight. They knew this was going to be a grind. And they were able to eventually get the football and run it in the fourth quarter. I think they had 47 yards rushing heading into the fourth quarter and then they had 53 yards rushing or 54 or whatever it was in the fourth quarter alone. So they really broke out the running game late and were able to break through there. So early on, I was a little bit surprised to see how hard the tackles, jobs were with the edges of the Titans defense, but again, I guess maybe when your coach by Mike vrabel is one of the best edge setters in patriots history. That's what you get, right? You know, maybe that's where those guys are getting coached up properly on the techniques and stuff like that of edge settings. So we'll see. A lot of questions in the chat about Mike on Wendy. We're gonna get these questions all season long when it starts playing some more. I don't know where they put them. We keep talking about this. I don't know where they put them. You know, Ted Keras has been really solid for them. He did give up a sack, but other than that was pretty clean in this game. And he brings a cerebral aspect to the position that they really like. Bill Belichick gave on Friday what a 304 hundred word answer. About an hour, Ted Keras being a center as translated to guard and how important that is for the team and for the continuity and the chemistry and the communication of the team and all those types of things. So I don't know. I mean, we talk about this every week. They like Keras better right now. They think there's a glue guy for them. They think that he brings a different IQ and dimension to that position that isn't just about who has the highest Madden rating, right? This is about deeper things than that. And I mean, you saw Michael and when he was getting the game last week too, like, he can still play. I wonder if at a certain point, it becomes a matchup thing. Like, oh, hey, Ed Oliver is not a big guy. Like, you know, maybe we want Michael own wendo in this game to just bully him out of the game and then against the colts with Darius Leonard. That's a really smart player. Let's see if we can get that extra center out that Mike alone who's not smart. But let's get that extra setter Senate eyes on the field and Ted carrots against the colts. Like you can match it up, hey, we know we're going to run the ball this drive. Let's get Michael and wendo in there. Like, hey, there's probably going to be blitz is coming here. Let's get Ted in there. Right. It could be as simple as that. It could alternate them. Also, I think Harrison might own one of the same mad rating. I'll check that. And also, I think that 6 O line packages coming eventually, right?.

"He still recovering from a torn Achilles, but otherwise, man, their colts offensive line they have is fantastic. And if Eric Fisher can stay healthy and play at a high level, that's going to be a really, really impressive offensive line. And one of the better ones in the NFL. The colts have three stud running backs. They have starter Jonathan Taylor. They have nahim Hines, who is a guy that catches passes out of the backfield more like a scat back. And then Marlon Mack is a good contributor who can bring depth off of the bench. Cold stop receiver TY Hilton right now unfortunately starts the year on the IR he will miss at least the first three games. But even without TY Hilton, the colts have a couple really solid receiving options. They have Michael Pittman junior. They have Paris Campbell. They have Zach Pascal. Plus two Titans Jack Doyle and mo Ali Cox. Now, the defensive front for Indianapolis is terrifying. They are led by defensive tackle divorce Buckner. He actually apparently played hurt all year last year. They also just drafted a new defensive end quitty pay. He should have a really, really big impact immediately. I love a story love his family love everything about quitty pay. I think he's going to be a stud in Indianapolis. Linebackers Bobby O'Reilly and then Darius Leonard is outstanding and outstanding fantastic linebacker in Indy. Now corner is a concern, especially week one with the colts. Xavier roads is going to be out against Seattle. And when you're missing Xavier roads and you're missing your starting left tackle Eric Fisher week one against Seattle a team that I think on paper if everyone's healthy, they call it their way better than Seattle. But unfortunately, if you're missing a couple guys and Seattle is Russell Wilson and you're missing a corner, especially rocky I'll send your number two corner is a big weakness for this football team. So even if you were fully healthy in the secondary ware, Xavier Rhodes was healthy, I still would be worried about rocky a sin trying to guard DK Metcalf occasionally. Defenses are gonna go after rocky as in this year. He is a weakness on this football team. And this year is going to come down to a couple of things in indie. Things that have to go well. Not having a number two corner is a problem. That other corner, the guy not named Xavier roads, that's really bad. It's a hole on their roster. And they match up particularly badly with the tendency Titans of AJ Brown and Julio Jones that receiver. So Xavier roads can guard one of those guys, but the other one's gonna have to be guarded by rocky a sin. And that really, really makes me uncomfortable. It makes me nervous. However, the colds are a team that I think man if.

Wouldn't he be better going on Fox News? Some of these Outlets that would ask him tough questions. But maybe try to convince people that aren't vaccinated yet, which is his goal. Wouldn't it be better for Fauci to go on some of these other outlets to try to convince those people to get vaccinated? Because I don't know who he's talking to? At this point on CNN while you're a decent person, Nige, and so actually you're operating from the standpoint that he actually this is actually about public health, and he actually cares whether people live or die. Felt she doesn't care about anything. But Fauci Fauci is a glory hound. He self absorbed. He's enriched himself. He's living look, you know, Fauci is an old man. There is way more behind him, then ahead of him, and I don't mean to be crashed, saying that, but I mean, he's an old man, and he has been a glory hound throughout much of his life, and this is the ultimate and has been the ultimate opportunity. He knows exactly what to say. I mean, people remember, Fauci became famous for his work with AIDS and HIV in the eighties. Taking positions. That the media wanted to hear. That's how he said things that the media wanted to hear. And that's how he became famous in the eighties. He's doing the same thing that I did the same thing Now it's not rooted in science, and I mean, the guy has been caught being a fraud. A hypocrite. He lied in front of Congress if you or I did what, Fauci? Uh, you know about the gain of function. Research is what you're talking short the Wuhan lab. If we did what Fauci did, we would be in a Jack Bauer prison somewhere getting awful treatment because you can do a lot of things but lie to Congress is not One of them unless you're lying to the Democrat Party who and you're pushing the narrative lying in front of the Democrat Party, and you're pushing the narrative. They like Anthony Fauci is a disgusting, terrible person. And I think that there's part of me that thinks that there is a certain segment of the population. The, uh, really hardcore left wing or progressive Democrats that hate Donald Trump and hate his supporters. That don't want to see Maga hat wearing Trump supporters get vaccinated. They like it when they diabetes. They were talking about it over the weekend. I mean, Howard Stern was making jokes about the conservative radio hosts that have died that have said they didn't get the vaccine. They laugh about it. It's funny to them. And also, um it's it's It's a situation where you have somebody poking you in the chest, saying You're an idiot. You are an anti science anti-vaxxer. You are ridiculous if you don't get this, and so it's a win win situation for those people because they, uh you know they have the moral superiority and they have the bullying. They bully you to get the vaccine. Which is a win for them, or you don't get the vaccine, and there's a chance that you wind up dying in eliminating more of the Maga supporters. It's not about whether you live or die, and that's the thing they always try to spin it like they're concerned about your health. Joe Rogan was fine and look at how they treated Joe Rogan. Of course. Look at the look at the falsehoods, the false narratives the lives that they made up. No. Thankfully, Rogan is taking the animal house approaches. Don't get mad, get even. And I hope he sues CNN hospital because they don't want they don't care about whether you live or die. They care about whether they can control you. And in the Internet age, the social media age. But what Jimmy Kimmel is doing What Howard Stern even said is you're alienating a certain segment of the population that is a minority that is underprivileged does have access to the kind of health care that they're talking about. Um, I think the only quarterback we have on on contract right now, Jacoby's and, um, you know, he's a good quarterback. You know, I've seen a lot of great things from him. In practice. You get Got better as the weeks went by. That's one thing that stood out in my eyes that goes into making some crazy. I mean, some crazy throws in practice, so you know he's got the talent, but, you know You gotta have the stairs, So I don't mind if we don't know exactly what's gonna go down.
