"So that tells you shouldn't be buying bits and things like commodities buying gibson. Things like miners. I think there's a lot better places to park your money. If not cash relative those news. And here's one that i think you will touch the ten football. It's right in your wheelhouse. Jerry as it comes to humor. I think this is coming to us from youtube. Darius is there a potential shift back to reflation going into q. One twenty twenty two from a potential deflationary scenario in q. three q. four. Twenty twenty one. So he's asking almost. Is there a potential for a whip. Saw fact that's the low probability that currently according to our bottles reflation is a very low probability from bottom-up-perspective throughout the second half of the drought starting in september through first part of next first quarter next year. So i don't. We don't currently see that. The only thing that will catalyze that to me would be more coney in response to delta and lambda that cadillac a row meaningful shutdown of the economy. Malik what we saw last year but a directional shutdown economy that we get reemerged from wants. Vaccinations are get to a certain place. In once case counts and things like that come down. That's all i but glad. I don't think that's going to happen so to answer the question. I don't think reflation. I think people it's a great guy. I appreciate the question. Do you think people just wanna go back to the easy money that they're making from november to may gals easiest money i've ever made in my career as jersey thought. He's a lot of people ever made in their careers. The churches went straight up for pretty much anything that was probation trees down for anything about bad duration risks. Now the game is hard again but this this is why you separate the pros and the joe's is like can you make money when things aren't doing this or things aren't doing that and that's that's sort of the name of the game check thoughts on easy money and the reflationary. Well i think embarrassed. Correct me if i'm wrong. But i think there is the way that you construct your models at forty two macro because you don't just look at growth you look at the rate of change of growth that it almost ensures that there's a cyclicality right like if you have inflation up to five point four percent the only way that it can't be deflationary or disinflationary is if it goes up to six percent which it becomes less and less likely to the steeper. You go so. It's like a roller coaster. The higher you go the more down you have to go right. Yeah totally ain't going back to the principal owner announced. You highlight the number one and number two factors. The vast majority of economies. He's the rate of change growth. And the red changes inflation revalued tell you that the gym signing to tell you that everybody will tell you that who spent time to back testing economies financial markets in a more systematic thought for robust manner. We do here. Forty two macro. Let me just throw this in. And i don't know what the significance is..

"Monday august. Ninth twenty twenty one. I'm mashed bennington joined today by our own jack farley and our guest darius dale from forty to macro. Here's what we're looking at right now. basically dow jones industrial average. Snp everything pretty much flat here on the day off about four points but this hides the volatility that actually occurred during the dam. Sure we'll talk about that more. During the course of the conversation. Jack i understand. You're looking at one asset in particular that would have to be gold ash. This gold had a flash crash late last night as asian markets opened plunging below. Seventeen hundred dollars per ounce that would be the lowest it's been since march but shortly thereafter goal pared losses and. It has closed the day just above seventeen thirty by the way ash not a good day for gold not a good day for black gold either with front month. Wti crude oil declining to percents extending the sell off. We saw friday afternoon and now trades below sixty seven dollars ash. Yes some demand concerns there. I'm sure we'll talk about them. By the way on. Equity markets the s and p five hundred and dow jones industrial average. Both up at all time highs are earlier in the day. Pairing those coming back down to close us slightly in the red today. Senators have reached a compromise on the crypto tax provision in the new infrastructure bill. Here's the good news. The senate has not killed off proof of stake. Validates will not be considered brokers under therefore excluded from tax reporting requirements. I'm sure we'll talk about that in a little bit more detail later in the show but now to darius dale our guest. Oh wait jackie one. More story don't you yes. I do just to give a little color on that the infrastructure. So you talked about the crypto specific in the bill. You just to give broad strokes. The senate last night voted to move forward on the trillion dollar infrastructure bill. The final vote will most likely happen tomorrow. That bill includes five hundred fifty billion dollars in new spending for the nation's physical infrastructure and the budget office estimated that it would add two hundred and fifty six billion to the federal deficit. What does that mean for the bond market. We'll see but ask back to you for those of us. Who aren't crypto nerds. This is what the rest of the world is watching from you. Structure bill darius dale our guests from forty to macro pleasure to have you here once again. Darius give us the overview. What are you looking at today. What's on your dashboard. Yeah i mean. I i go back to the infrastructure bill in all the sort of the the drama that we're seeing coming out of dc really starting to accelerate and come to a head here. I mean it's not just physical infrastructure. Bill which again is five hundred fifty billion dollars policies. Already said things dead on arrival if they don't pass the actual fiscal twenty to thirty two budget resolution which itself is likely to come after. We hit the debt ceiling in early september. We absolutely have to get a continuing resolution. Done by september thirtieth avoid a government shutdown in and obviously is usually a couple months of wiggle room on the debt ceiling soak. We're all headed for particularly meaningful impasse by the end of october. Early part of november on the on the actual budget ceiling. So there's a lot going on dc..

"What would typical work look like for you like if you were going to do specifically a cardio workout designed to enhance two-minute recovery or or some flavor of interval training whether whether you want to describe what you're doing a barry's bootcamp or what you might be doing on your own. What loaded typical workout. Actually be for you. Sure capable workouts not fifty minutes. And it's probably subdivided roughly half into cardio in roughly half into resistance training with weights. And the i'd swap back and forth every called every six to ten minutes between the two so imagine two or three sets of each the cardio component would typically be a mix of jog runs. Sprint job runs french jog run sprint. So during the heart rate up. Max bring it back down not all the way but to you know so where you can breathe normal rows of normally and then spring back up and then bury the incline. Sue tried to the same fight on a plot ground surface and you guys sprint faster. Typically but then increased incline and try to maintain as much of the speed. And then there's different cycle is sector qatar's up and down. You can bury adler thirty seconds. Thirty seconds at the highest intensity or sixty six high-intensity mean or if i i kinda rotated that around somewhat for mental variety unless you're how much physical training really requires us but Up in synchronized to music. So i think music is gonna be darius active from premium performance. It also is very effective for improving Emotional tolerance of intensity training which is related on a lot of good studies. Deflecting in a nice book written by Professor mcdougall at stanford called the joy of movements out of the research on the fact of music on a particular kinds of music athletic performance. So i this is. My workouts are synchronized with like. Eds style music.

"Is now the highest paid linebacker in football at five years. $95 Million.19 a year But he's probably only going to hold on to that title. I don't know it's it's tough i. I love a burger but think about how good you feel when you have. I mean that's the thing when you have vegetables. I'm thinking of would you rather as involving meat versus it's tough because like singularly. I've had more pleasurable experiences with meat than like vegetables in general. Yes i mean. It's tough but i do. But i would say i mean it's a different kind of pleasure but i've had maybe more pleasures from a delicious dessert than i've had from any single like piece of meat. Yeah it's so. It's so different but i know but again that's dairy. I've had a lot of pleasurable dairy experiences. And that would be very hard for me to give up anyway. I will keep you posted. "I felt like a nerd in a stationary. I haven't thought about decades. But i kind of love. Yeah i love those pens. I thought it was an. I may be reading too much into this. But it's interesting that he picked as his favorite simpsons character nelson. I can't first of all. We haven't heard that yet on the show but also it's like the grown up version of nelson. I bet he's encountered ally in his. Yes in his. You know all your files with people like how people treat them the music industry well and i'm sure he's encountered such like gross cartoonish versions of that type of guy that type of bullying that he is internalized it. I mean that's such a great way to look at boys till like laugh at them. The absurdity of them being like 'cause there's so childish about a grownup about a bully who that that's what he described him he was like he's got a good heart but i know he's got a good heart. I would never have described nelson that way but he must have had to and again. I'm probably like speak out of turn. Because i i don't know the inner workings of his brain what he's been through but it seems possible that he's internalized that character in that way as way of survival. It's pure compassion. Yeah it's so funny. You picked up on this interesting. I know but he does any nelson's damage to like that's the thing about the character you can see. Sometimes they'll show like his parents. Never see the verbal. Yeah and yeah. That was a really interesting answer. Let's read a letter. Okay only want to review. This is from andrew shootings worth shootings worth. Yeah we're now kidding. "Really look even more. You use that as you. Yeah yeah. I know that. His voice was like a lot of acts that. That's how big they were there that he inspired. I think away like creed garza her. That's something he should brag about well. Another hugely successful beds through houdini. Blowfish was so much better. No no i'm saying he his to make it during a time that you know he described as it was all grunge it was like a very specific type of music to make it with that unique sound voice and to be that popular with that different voice which is why god damn. How much do you want to hear him. Sing walking in memphis. Now god when he said that thousands go to carry on side. I thought that's perfect for him. I know and then he said something. Like i like the universe wrote that song for me. Yeah sounds like an area thing to say but when you're as down to earth as he is it it just seems that's of course that's true that's true and like those that modesty has been coming up more and more i now there's nothing in my life. There's nothing worse than false modesty. I i gotta why i've been. I've been noticing owning. He knows he's good. You both have to be more aware false modesty in the world but i to the point. Where like i'm now more aware of. I want to be mindful of that of my own. You know like it except you can compliment is are. We have been talking about this too. I'm afraid i'm going to go the rest of my life with that being hard. I bet i think it's very difficult to change. That stuff feels so deeply rooted in me. I mean i didn't give up but That's hard to changes. I mean getting back to his childhood. He was raised with very little materially but he looks back fondly on those times and consequently now that he has all this money he's not into spending a lot of money cars and we'll because he fancy things those weren't value the exact yeah that was really maintained. His like what he was raised with. And i think for better or worse we've maintained. Well that's why. I was trying to ask him about His kids like how. How do you raise your kids with that mentality in that pure away about Non materialistic way. That is funny. Kids aren't into his now. But i thought that about wilmer. Valderrama will similar. Yes they reminded me of one another. You tried to relate to by saying that when we were kids we get excited to go. See our father's office and then the luster kind of wore off a little bit and it's such a funny comparison to go to professor's office but it was exciting hooting. The blowfish concerts. He no i know but in terms of like a kid through our kids is what you. Yeah i remember like. I didn't want to get into it. The bridge is already it was. It was pretty strained comparison. But i made me think about like how cool was that pocket. Just like have any pen remember. Those boxes of pens knows the in his secretaries. Here's the whole philosophy department had a sector and he'd go remember her office in pads all these hall all my guy and i could just use. Take whatever you wanted notebook. I remember being thrilled by racers paper. It was like a cornick. Kobe kidney cancer. You're like so you really earn a stationery store. It's funny oh man..

I guess is is how game. He was kind of laugh about the hoodie thing. Yes yes and you. You tested it well. Because i grew so comfortable with them because he seemed to so honestly like okay. We'll after he was a really funny story. How i never knew. That band was named. After he told the whole story you continued to refer to them as the blowfish after finding out that he wasn't hootie and they weren't blowfish but it's still has you can't not you can't not put those you cannot well. That's the maybe. I've thought of him as who'd he was like fourteen years old. That's the pro. If you wanna call it a problem. That's the issue with the name with it being a band's name because one hootie is a singular thing i and you said it to him and you're right he asked for it and he seemed like you said totally finally finally which is also like any he. I remember houdini blowfish at some point for no good reason becoming kind of like a punchline in that they were i think just because they got so big and it was. It's kind of. It's a funny name hootie and the blowfish but there was and they were so popular anything that popular at a certain point. By like snarky hipster culture will become fire of course. Alright yeah when you play there you remember forever how ad i love talking to musicians about that because i know it's something on never really know none of us will people listen to this or like i think everyone has this fascination with that feeling. You have connecting with an audience. And i've tried. I've tried to ask physicians about that. Like like describe it to me. You know but it's some you can't describe it. Yeah those moments when it's just perfect and everybody's singing in your band sounds amazing and you can feel the energy and you could feel how happy everybody is.

And i did learn this about japanese culture which i love. It's it's very respectful to show your appreciation for the other culture and in this case we were at a restaurant for their food and they're bringing out and they were proud. There's a lot of pride in in in what they do and Preparation the food and all that and the presentation so they brought out. The food is incredible. God was delicious but their specialty in the thing that they were most proud of was a shot glass with liquid in it that was not discernible to me at the time and there was a yoke a yoke quail a yoke yoke yoke. Y'all yoke. i'm hung up on the al. There's ellen yolk you don't have to pronounce it. There's a there's a k. and nigel. You don't but i often say it. I say a lot more than i say. Yoke yolk i yolk. Philadelphia Eagles' Darius Slay Meets With New Coach
"Try to keep his posit possible but coming on philly a lot of negative with the carson wentz situation. Doug peterson gone. new head. Coach has a press conference. That is completely botched. I mean it did not go fantastic. Have you talked to the new head coach. Have you gotten a chance to kind of meet. Maybe new coaches. And how do you feel about the season going in. Feel good man. I met with all the coaches have taught man looking forward to seeing what they could bring to the table. Men helping me. Elevate my game than have must elevate as a as a team so You know. I got high hopes man. They come in there with a lot of energy and You know the first thing. I talked to manage managers base say. Football's will be fine and that's what it's all about having fun. It was a good though. Pretty smooth like the way he was way better than his. That's what i was trying to get to your. I didn't wanna come out. I appreciate getting there. Yeah because if i saw that press conference i'd be looking at that. My i got some questions here now. How this guy nice to know that. It's a smooth compensation football being fun less thinking more athlete takeover. That is really good news for
Philadelphia Eagles CB Darius Slay on Matthew Stafford trade to Los Angeles Rams, what to expect from Jalen Hurts
"And all pro a pro bowler the interception leader in the entire. Nfl in the year. Two thousand seventeen now philadelphia. Eagles formerly of the lions ladies and gentlemen dairy slack pickling was good. It was good how you doing man not too shabby. I just sneezed a couple of times. Because i'm allergic to the cable companies over charging people it's unbelievable. What's going on out here. Darius i just saw you i believe you were talking about you. Stafford with the nfl films. He is leaving officially now. We'll get into you by the way i want. You know we do appreciate you coming on. We think you're baller. We'll talk about your life as well. But i would like your thoughts on something. It's happening pretty topical here. Matthew stafford is going to the los angeles rams night. The guy who wore number nine put out a nine minute video via the detroit. Lions which basically was emotional. It was a beautiful watch. Evan fox diehard lions van damme. your. I almost cry me so there was. Yeah yeah me too. I got a little. What if there's a lot of people i think are about to be introduced to matthew stafford. 'cause when your quarterback for the lines are not necessarily on prime time television all the time except for maybe thanksgiving. He's an absolute stud. And i think a lot of people are about to learn that. Do you feel the same way as somebody that was shared a field with him. For what six seven years or whatever in detroit and he got mad they gotta gotta go be unbelievable down man on the la. He's a very talented man. Smart guy he will work hard and He's a great leader. Man lead by example. He approached practice. The right way Like i never seen it. professionals is a long time and he. He's he's the man what is what do you think he's gonna do to that team. And that offense obviously he and mcveigh both guys of alpha personalities. But it seems like stafford. Also is one of the tougher quarterbacks ever to play the game i know he played with. What a broken back. Like what do you. What do you think he does instantly for that office. Up thinking to bring a lot of like know accuracy. Deep ball guy He will carry a team man go he could take any low In low you wanna give him you know. Click gays comeback. Like i said for longest man. Staffer was only missing a great defense in our Around half a great defense. Becky continue to get the ball back when i was at time. Stafford was putting up thirty points. Defense flutie given up thirty points to as well so but guy that got a defender keeping twenty point under seventeen points under yes tap. Wanna put up clear. A thirty points easily. Isn't that something that's pretty interesting is. We're talking to darius like corner for the philadelphia eagles. Now isn't that something interesting to think about in this is coming from a corner. Who's on defense. Is that a thought. Hey if we keep them under twenty points are guys going to be able to get an. Is that a goal going into each game. Hey now greenwich last shutout. We want this but the realistic like. Hey if we keep this under twenty. There's a good chance guy's gonna get that. Is that something that actually goes through your mind yet. Easily may cause you know a you see the work definitely with guys like staffer. Long enough man. He gets hot seagoing man. He's unstoppable star any kind of way Making the easiest Hardest make look easy. And you know that's always a defense go to have a team on the twenty. Most of the guys honestly as a quarterback league wants big status scoreboard up. I'm not going to ask you about the drama. That's been surrounding your team. Because there'd be incredibly unfair to you. You're not involved in that but jalen hurts appears to be the quarterback going into next year for you guys. What did you see. Jalen that makes you think like okay. This guy is going to be our guy. There was moments of greatness out there. I don't think everything was as smooth on offense as out of the ball last year as we would hope. But what do you think like philadelphia. Eagles fan should expect from jalen hurts. That you've seen behind the scenes. It's like hey this is. There's a reason this guy's going to be our guy now because he's a great leader as a young guy came to a chip on her shoulder. honestly man no disrespect carson. But he always felt like that was his spot. You know Causing the great guy but he came into the yoga came into the room into basic on. Take over to the office. You know as Why not disrespect me. Just as in i want to come compete against you to become this guy and i want to be the face at his team. He always had a ball always had drive in that kind of separate a lot of guys that you know. He was kind of just determined. You know is competitive. Why not disrespectfully. It just like mom. Okay to compete. You're the best rocky for the team. That's all were you surprised at all. Were any teammates surprise to see him. Like what's he like that from day one Well we already saw that. He had a lot of swagger about him ignored college. That's what we use as the term. Now as you see a goddess plan college boy he got a lot of sway. You carry yourself the right way and you can see in alabama and he you ever had to take no game bitch at a at a taleban. Dan going over. The numbers being heisman candidate. You know so. He had a lotta drive yet. A lot of a lot of stoudt loves to prove he. He's ready to prove it right now.
Inside The Russell Wilson-Seahawks Rift
"Years russell. Wilson has been wanting to throw the ball more and at the start of this year. It finally happened russell. Wilson was not good in the first half of the twenty twenty season. He was excellent deep cap touchdown. Seattle you run down there and set in his answer. Any better than that was fourth in yards per attempt. Weeks one through nine i. In passing. touchdown percentage was second in passer rating. Wilson keeps as default talk. He was legit. The best player in the league madden gave him a ninety nine overall rating during the season because he was cooking notion as he throws an accident. Edi feeds defensive player of the years like russell. Lula's legitimately the best guy in football games of the season then week nine arrived and they had this game against the buffalo bills that you recently wrote about. Can you tell us what happened in that game. And afterwards what happened is russell had to cook in the kitchen. Just kind of just caught on. Fire his paycheck wine with a sack at a takeaway from russell wilson. I actually watched that game with a former cr defensive and cliff april and teased talking me through it. And he's like russ's off he's trying to do too much and i think turned it over like four times. He threw a pick on the goal. Line throws for the jordan with tyco. I think that really turned the tables for the whole team. After that loss where they gave up forty four points and turned it over a bazillion times and got embarrassed in buffalo. Well what i would tell you that. I don't recognize that game. We haven't seen the look like that and it's a game that i don't have any place in my brain for. He told us he didn't even have any space in his brain for that game. That's very important subjects right like the fact that he considered that not seahawks. Football was influential the rest of the year. Well the following week against the rams things. I guess only got worse. Wilson throws and the other one four darius williams second game. I know that there are better days ahead. I'll use a baseball now but sometimes you go up to the plate you know and you don't have your way today mike. You and our colleagues. Mike sando jason jank's wrote about a meeting. That happened shortly after that loss to the rams can you take us inside that meeting room and just explain what went down russia's meeting with the coaches normal game planning type of meeting and he has suggestions he is giving input usually does and his suggestions just weren't dismissed. There were dismissed in a way that russell didn't feel appreciate it. And i think that is really important. I'm sure they disagree in every meeting ever but in this particular instance rust belt that he was not being appreciated so rushed stormed out was basically this idea that. How dare anyone in this building. Be dismissive of my ideas. I am of the quarterback was almost like kevin durant warriors when he was like no way up. I'm kevin durant russell wilson and he rustled perceives him to be someone who has succeeded. In spite of what's been around him not because of running for his life making the pro bowl with battle lines perceive that to be like the story of his career. And you get to week eleven. And it's like do. Just chill out. We got this no. You don't don't get it. I got it and that forced him out the door. Russell in the second half of the season was which is not himself like he was twenty eighth in yards per attempt in his final eight games he was sixteenth. In a touchdown percentage nineteenth in passer rating. These are bad numbers. These are not just like below average twenty nine yards per attempt man that was lower than the cincinnati bengals. Even when the circumstances are bad around russell he's been good enough to elevate situation still played inefficient level and twenty twenty was the first time it was like. Wow he's not able to elevate the lack of talent or execution of preparation around him and it produced like some of the worst numbers of his career certainly produced the worst playoff game of his career against the rams in the wild round sitting meeting big. Who's going into other sack four sacks two takeaways the interception return for the touchdown and floyd now all right. Let's fast forward a few weeks to the super bowl. The seahawks have been knocked out by the rams in the wildcard round and russell. Wilson is at super bowl. Fifty five in tampa bay sitting with none other than commissioner. Roger goodell mike. Tell us what you found in your reporting about russell. Wilson's experience at the super bowl. You know it's really interesting. Because i tweeted during the super bowl. That antonio brown caught a touchdown from tom brady in front of russell. Wilson there is the pass for the touchdown. What drive a super bowl. Winning drive that brady's only done throughout his whole career. I kind of just said it like star cast the as a joke. Not really thinking about how russell fell and then as our reporting i was like okay so i i was right like he is really upset. And it's so many factors. There is the fact that tom brady is in. The super bowl is the fact tom. Brady's they're playing pine. A good line is the fact that tom brady is playing in a system. That gives him some atonomy like got to pick players gronk. Antonio brown is the fact that mahomes is there again laying for again in a system that like essentially like his talents. The last time also played in the super bowl loss of tom brady seven years later prime many years. Tom brady's back. I suppose in a soup. Kitchen fuming so during the superbowl. He's texting his quarterback coach. And just close. Friend jake heaps. He's a local radio guy. Here jake to set it on the radio. He's talking about how russ was missed during the game texting him. They'll look the he had was in reflective of the text messages. I was receiving russell wilson. Just ultimately the overall sentiment was that he was mad that he was not lying in this thing and then russell spoke to the shortly after the game show. What's up with our line. You see that. Winning requires a good line and the gist of peace response. As far as i was told is about faith. And just you know we got this. And that just wasn't good enough for us
Strong, Black, and Hot Enough To Give You Second Degree Burns
"Lack women oprah beyond saying and all your favorite reaction means. I've heard people say they like their women like they like their coffee. Strong black hot enough to give you second degree burns. Careful what you wish for darius but the thing is not all black women are strong and even the ones that are strong aren't just that we doors open for us to especially with someone with biceps like michael jordan. Ads like michael jordan. Hare like michael b jordan but unfortunately a strong black woman stereotype is rained in american culture. It has a long history. About as old as morgan freeman and batty white combined now you may be wondering what is a strong black woman is the idea that black women are emotionally resilient naturally selfless to browns ask for help and can succeed with no resources so basically every care to play by viola davis. The irony is the strong black woman. Stereotype was started by black women to combat all the negative ones the in the aftermath of slavery there were really only to stereotypes of black women. You were either from sex temperatures jacksonville or a man who was just there to smother people in booze in response black suffragette mary. Church terrell point strong black woman motto listing as we climb and i get what she was going for butt lift as we climb even bodybuilders. Don't do both at the same time. You expect a black woman to do more than swertz nigger in his prime but overtime society shrank of black woman down to just her strikes and the popular conception now is that black women can bear and overcome any birth. We see all over our culture in movies like the color purple who my life. And how can we forget ghost. We're whoopi goldberg literally has to let a white man. U's her body to rub foreheads with his fiancee. Even when black women only have one line strong as hell move you will be moved. Damn at least let her say hello. Let's all say what's wrong with being perceived as strong. Isn't it a good thing. No not if black women destroy their mental and physical health trying to live up to it and not people think black women are so strong they make them do all the work on their own. Look stacey abrams. She helped democrats win georgia and before you knew it. Using active vaccine distribution the new york. Subway and kim and guy is marriage. The stereotype even reaches the doctor's office. Black women are less likely to be properly diagnosed. They have a much higher maternal mortality rate. And they're less likely to be believed about their symptoms and pay so a black woman basically has to be a doctor to know everything that's going on with her body and then convinced another doctor that that's what's happening. I was in. a car. Accident lacerations and internal bleeding a morphine drip and prep surgery stack. We'll get you a couple of bandaids. you'll be fine. What's so the next time you see a black woman struggling at work or trying to lift the box help her. Don't just stand there like you're about to see wonder woman in action in fact if you're in the new york area moving this week and i could use some help moving my couch because i'll be damned if i'm going to back lifting my own couch.

"darius" Discussed on Entrepreneur on FIRE
"The real darius and selena gomez you something in common and fire nation as we in the introduction. We're talking all about the invisible scale today and just how is going to help you. Rock your business in twenty twenty and beyond so first off darius what is the invisible scale break that down for us me and my book the core value equation. We essentially talk about when you build a core value driven organization. You have an opportunity. And i say this as nicely as possible. The word core values has been hijacked by marketing. Hr people and when it gets taken back by the entrepreneur in the business owner and it gets executed for strategy and execution. What ends up happening is three three things happen. As you can create the language the organizations that the core values it ultimate decision making engine and it creates a basically a magnet for talent. That are the right type of talent for the organization. Well a again making people who don't want to be part of the organization like they'll never show up for the leaves. You gotta be super authentic about the core values. We talked about that in the core value equation. When that happens it creates thing. I call him visible scale. And so what happens is is you get organic holistic like a growth that happens in the organization because you're essentially removing organisational inefficiency the friction of people who aren't on the same page not sharing the same values not working the same way they kind of remove themselves out of the equation. And you just get this kind of like smoothness. It's almost like a you know like when you put. Wd forty a doorjamb. In what i say is when that happens. There's almost dislike. Like i don't want ether in the air and it causes everyone to move to senator quietly holistically and i call that invisible scale and it's really where there's an invisible manager the core values in this case looking over the shoulder everybody and and and they're looking over each other shoulders and when that happens you start to get really really high velocity of growth. Because you're not you're not dealing with all the bull essentially so most companies have super inspirational and motivational core values. You know there's just plastered everywhere. Their you know just meant to get people fired up but you are a believer that core values don't have to be nice can you expound on that i'll go back to what you said before most companies have these really inspirational i sometimes they aspirational values. But i challenge each and every one of you to if you're the ceo entrepreneur foundering or one of the founders. Close your eyes and see if you just know them off the top of your head. And the data shows that fifty percent of them don't and they're the ones that create them which is kind of a joke and then i challenge you to go grab ten of your employees your employees five year depending on the size you orgainzation and don't give them an opportunity to look and say what are the core values of our company and when they don't know them nine times then you'll know that those inspirational words on the wall are kind of meaningless by the way that stayed on this ninety three percent of companies more than sixty percent of their employees donna the values. So i just say that you don't really have is and you have a mixture of core values. Just don't have a common set of core values so it's one of those things where if you really want to get to having core by driven organization. I've learned it. It's really simple. A they have to be unopposed <unk>. Unapologetically authentic they have to be what you are because what most organizations do they start saying these things like where people centric and then they treat their employees crap or the or it's all about the owner or you know they say things that their marketing and hr team want them. Say to sound nicer. Vanilla are boring and boring is not really probably the option. But they're doing it to be safe and you know it's just not memorable athetic. And then they just fall flat on their face. And what i say is listen. Let me tell the question. Can i curse on the show. I mean because i was gonna say it like it is. If that's cool. It's okay fine. I will well so basically if you're a jerk that's my nice way of cursing you're a jerk or even then own it be unapologetic about it because when people get there they're going to know that's what you are and when they get there and they know that's what you are. Well then they're going to say oh this is just like everywhere else. They're full of it. So when you're unapologetic about the values not antic. And if you're a jerk organization own like i'll give you an example <hes>. Uber went back. Which house clinic was the ceo. One of their top core values was to- stepping like literally stepping on each other's toes right and now one could argue that that went sideways on them. But the reality is is that they grew into a multibillion dollar company because they are unapologetic about what they were and they got after it. So my whole thing is they don't have to be nice if you're if you're a warrior culture own it if you're a rainbow pink unicorn and culture own that but be what you are
