"Is on the giants. Own. Shasha. Judge on his first short week were you at all now doesn't matter. This is like the dolphins last year where they got the taste of their first victory and then rattled off a bunch of covers. That's what the giants are doing this year Ryan Fitzpatrick to anytime same thing by the way my name this thing sharp. Some bitch comes out by the way. Lines move. Move at the moment twenty, four and eleven or something like that. Right now pick Zeca. I just hope it's the very thing would be to retire from making picks it this. You got the ring I do. This figuring and the Hammer Don Pinky ring, which is going to be presented to me later this afternoon. So it's going to be held at present- presentation. I mean it is on that hammers on fire. You like them to cover four. Have you said spreads so matter to you and then he said they're gonNA cover four and a half they win convincingly you like you think this is a real pivotal game for the Philadelphia Eagles do I feel like if he was neither they'll get you shouldn't say can get blown out I don't see either team getting blown out but I definitely see the eagles covering four and a half By the way I held on dethroning. I feel like they're gonNA forcing turnovers. The defense is going to be able to for some turnovers. I think the giants Owino have some trouble holding up the phillies. Phillies lines going to have some trouble as well but I feel like the giants will have more I just saw any turn a corner and like do like one of those. A. Seventy yards. Awkward like why is that guy still pulling away from people? Just. QB SWEEP FORM Earlier plus four hundred for him to score a rushing touchdown. For Eighty five yards last week you said. Last. Week he rushmore eighty-five, seventy five, seventy, five. Seventy. Five I don't know if it was. Demonstrative but he had. No thank. God. He had one deep deep runs, explosive plays from Danny Times, in the. Seventy. Seventy four rushing yards. Right on the money. Times. What's his over under for rushing? To but many. You have a big game like that. On the ground I am an NFL quarterback. I have eighteen yards on one rush zero yards. For, an average of nine. I mean. I think in the NFL history I think I am ranked the nine point average per carry but the thought of if you have a little bit of success was rushing, I would assume next week you're going to try it again aging don't you think isn't that something now that defense worry about like seventy four yards rushing last week like this guy is mobile we gotta have an eye on 'em. You think they're gonNa Hawk them how does how does it work I? Don't think they're going to be spying dating dimes..

"When I ran out to do my thing, you know and kind of rattled. This sliding up like this. And I was so worried that the gray patches ma big mouth and massive Snozzi was going to stick out underneath the thing I do not think about it and. You know a little hot air for sure. But it was a beautiful night. It's great to be back in the wrestling world and wait until the people here. The backstory behind all this is gonNA frustrate the wrestling. I'm pumped about it. Good for you man yeah it was good. This morning I saw you post something whatever happened last night. So yeah, I'm glad you're getting back into it. Well, thank you. I'm going to have to lose a bunch of way though because. The last time I was in the wrestling world, I? was potentially in the best shape I've ever been in my entire life because I had in wedding shape in. Then all of a sudden Adam Cole comes on the show is an Asshole, right then all of a sudden it goes after the wedding shape. So it was just like a compounding of two shapes their that got me into good shape, but since football has started in its on Saturday. Sunday Monday. Tuesday Thursday Friday back Saturday. It's hard. Not just become a fat ass during a football very hard. So I saw. On TV last night and I see myself on on the Internet every single day the faces certainly got a bit fatter and whenever you're Irish deathrow your Wako so I'm going to have to get into shape if I. Plan on getting back in there but I really enjoyed this role being on a microphone with our guys to I mean let's not get. A great spot for me having a microphone in talking Hellish Shit I. Mean this is a good place for me to be. I think it's It seems to be right in your wheelhouse I. Think you're doing what you you probably should be doing. Well, speaking of doing what we should be doing, what we should be doing is talking about the NFC East megabucks tonight. I said it earlier I mean for the sake of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman let's up. There's no Goddamn planes flying over this game tonight. There is maybe they'll be able to work together positive throughout that entire thing the Philadelphia Eagles are at home and favored by four and a half talk Darius Butler last hour. He thinks New York. Giants cover the four and a half. But Philadelphia, Eagles. Win in a close one. He also thinks Carson wentz throw for under two hundred and forty, three and. A half yards this evening because of potential jalen hurts packages coming in and other things like that Aj you've had a to sleep and think about the NFC's Mega Bowl. What are your thoughts on tonight's going to go? What are your predictions in her we hammer and in the Crimson Chin's house? Yeah this this is a good one. I love this matchup I. I'm going to pick the eagles and actually they're going to cover four and a half to. The spreads usually don't doesn't matter to me, but I think they're going to cover four and a half I really do I think this is the get back on track gave Carson Wentz. I think he's already they're almost but I think tonight, he shows the world that he's the Carson Wentz that everyone knows him to be. They're better than they think he is. I should listen to this injury report. Please listen to this day. I. Know about it. Now, what do know I think you've seen it have you actually listened to it as seen. Exactly Zito. That's exactly what we're looking for listen AJ I mean, come on Gimme a break here as it pulls up. Out Tonight for the Philadelphia Eagles Jack Driscoll tackle at Zakar out Maliki Jackson out now Sean Duffy Out Mile Sanders out kvant wall safety at listen to that that. That sounds like the entire fucking roster. Six on six football its entire other than carson daughter. Still out in Jalen regular has an he's the first round draft pick he's not a plan he hasn't. That's a lot of people out age eight. That's a big deal. Don't you think or do you think the short week? It actually helps them because it's a lot more reactionary as opposed everything else. A lot of people out. You didn't mention lane, Johnson coming back in the lineup that will be huge. Hopefully, he can make it through the game I know he's been battling through something this year maddox the corner. Tonight as well for homeless. Yeah. Things are looking good man and you know what? The most important thing of all. You can go all the stats you want and tell me what all these different things and things have happened in the past. But Doug Peterson he's five and Thursday nights pat..

Suspect in Portland shooting killed by law enforcement

"And we're following the news of the death of the suspect in last week's deadly shooting in Portland, Oregon, Michael Forest right now is suspected of killing Eren Danielson. A member of the right wing group Patriot prayer last Saturday as racial justice protesters and pro trump protesters clashed last night right now was shot and killed as law enforcement officers attempted to arrest him. Near Olympia, Washington. They say they were forced to shoot after they say right now pulled out a firearm. Jonathan Levinson is a reporter with Oregon Public Broadcasting, and he's been following this story. Welcome, Jonathan. Hi. Thanks for having me. What else can you tell us about right now and briefly remind us how he encountered Aaron Danielson in Portland. Right now was a 48 professional snowboarder up until the George Floyd was killed in Minneapolis, and the protest started in Portland. His social media was about snowboarding about nature, and then When the protest started here. There was this dramatic shift, and it appears that he had been attending the nightly protests downtown. The way he encountered Danielson. There was Trump Caravan last begin that came through Portland. Hundreds of vehicles waving trump flags and fin blue line flags. They all poured into downtown fights broke out between them and counter protesters. Some of the trump demonstrators were shooting people with bare maze and paintball guns from their trucks. A few times they drove their trucks through counter protesters on the Facebook page for the event attendees were encouraged to conceal carry And this came on the heels of free this week's rally that just evolved into really extraordinary violence, a lot of firearms and that crowd as well. So there was tension coming into this past weekend's protest and as it was winding down We know that right now encountered Aaron Danielson downtown. Words were exchanged and ultimately right now fired two shots. One struck Darius and in the chest and killed him right now, then ran away. We don't know the specifics, though. We don't know. You know what happened What the altercation was about or what? Specifically, you know, motivated the shooting. Portland Police obtained a warrant for his arrest yesterday. Explain what happened once they located him. Yeah, Yesterday, Mama County Judge issued the warrant. It wasn't Portland Police located him is just before 7 P.m. members of the Pacific Northwest Violent Offender Task Force, which is a bunch of different law enforcement agencies. We were waiting outside in apartment near Olympia, Washington, where they thought Reinhold staying right now was saying they confronted him as he was getting into a vehicle and that's when shooting began. The U. S marshals said that he had a gun and was threatening the lives of law enforcement. We have been able to confirm that we don't know if right now fired at them or what exactly transpired.

Yeah I wondered that too a Yoga Studio near my house they do donation base classes every Wednesday in it's because they want people to love Yoga and can't afford it. They still wanted to be able to come also a great business move because maybe you found that people give way so much right I've always wondered how much they make money off that class. To this but I think their goal is yeah I hope if you'RE A. You have a job and you can buy food maybe checkout drexel season and drop as much as you can in their. You can't draw by. Food? Yeah. That's awesome. Drexel and honeybees shot to you guys. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something. Good. Coming up we'll talk to Darius. Rucker. Pretty good friend of mine. WHO I saw something. Really. Irritated me about not not the Darius did but something about Darius and I'm gonNA bring that up with them. I feel comfortable enough to do that. So loved areas, he'll be honest a few minutes. Now let's go over to amy with the morning corny. Morning Courtney. How to cows? Their shopping, how do cows like to do their shopping from cattle dogs? Morning Gordon Tomorrow night on Saturday night. On our facebook page, you can watch the grand. Ole, opry it's a show that we do now and I hosted I help produce it. There's nobody in the seats in the Grand Ole opry and we bring up artist every week and I'm GONNA play John Party in a second but he's won the acts this week and so it's John Party, which is Great Pam Tillis which is super cool and it's also runaway. June and it's the first time to play together with Natalie stovall who's a new member and so Was Driving yesterday I get a call from Naomi for runway June and I'm friends with that group pretty pretty close to them. Now he was banned forever. So don't pretty well, she calls because you can ask favor. And I thought it would be hey, would you mind promote in the opera or something like that which had no problem doing but it wasn't she goes hey, we're going to do as one of our songs. The devil went down to Georgia. We come up and and Charlie Daniels part. And I was like. Oh and I. Struggled with it. What do you think said? Yes. Why? Because they're your friends and your close to Natalie and you're already going to be there because you're hosting the OPRY. So but what about I mean? That's that's tough song. But you've done it like. A lot with the raging idiot. So I think that because you're you feel comfortable with them. You're doing it. What do you think I said? One, hundred percent you said absolutely me and Natalie have done it. One hundred times we're doing it. Okay. I said No. Because I don't want to be about me. If I get up there. And I've played the two thousand times or so it's not about me getting up and doing something on that stage But I always go comedy or music comedy, and if I get up there, it's just going to be a novelty and I don't. Their shine being taken away and at I I said, yes, I was like, yeah, I'll do it on the back of my hand and then I called back and say I can't because. I. Don't want the stories to be bygones ruins runaway June's. Song. And by the way I would have ruined it because I'm pretty good at it but I would ruin that experience like they're awesome. They don't need me doing that. So I don't know what they're gonNA do maybe Natalie ends up doing it but I said no but they're going to do tomorrow night I assume unless they change their mind. It turns out. That song. Maybe. They get. Chad. Kroeger to do it the devil went down to Georgia he was looking for so two steal. Dan version with Arab. Nightmares. John Parties. Planning. There's an update from yesterday call Arabian next week. Thursday shower Friday show next week. Mid, week. So yeah, some run that timeframe. Okay. Also said, she found the cure for hangover. What does that I read about it? It's a drug that or an amino acid that was previously used to help treat arthritis and hardening of the arteries. was done those like where does it? While, it's helping out with arthritis that's also getting rid of like nausea headaches stress anxiety from drinking too much. So if you've got a hangover, you can take L. Sistine. And I checked Amazon, they have it for sale there. was just an amino acid that they said eliminates or reduces hangover symptoms. So they find this Alva- ca some drunk with arthritis like? Bill Grey boldly. I think something was to happen, and then they decided to do a study on hangovers with it. That's big. If true. L. System not for me, I? Don't. Box Are you a hangover? "darius" Discussed on Bleeding Green Nation

"The eagles last year week Sixteen Portland Sutton four and twenty eight yards and then week seventeen Davante Adams who would have had like five hundred yards against the eagles if he didn't hurt his toe in that game, held him to four receptions and sixty three yards. So even in a down year, he's taking on these wide receiver. Ones and he's handling his business. So then I'll ask you I think sleigh is GonNa have a big impact on his unit shadowing or not. But how are you feeling about using sleigh as a chess piece in the matchup game? Yeah. So Darius slay the the the bad season and in two thousand, nineteen, I test sleigh was not as productive as he wasn't twenty nineteen relatives two, thousand, eighteen, twenty, seventeen, hundred and so forth. It's worth noting that Darius slay. The League in passes Defense Passes Plate on either broken upper intercepted sense two, thousand and thirteen his rookie year it might be two, thousand fourteen when he really entrenched himself as a starter the basically Darius slay is only missed six games over the last six seasons in his hat over thirteen pass breakups in every single season including the eight interception twenty six passes defense year in two thousand seventeen when he was an all pro player he been good. In two, thousand, nine, hundred, it was not as productive. He had two interceptions, which is about as low as it gets. He had thirteen pass defenses about his lows against his tackle numbers or a little bit down. He allowed more completions than it usually did it wasn't as good of ear PF really knocked in and knocked a lot of the players on that Detroit coverage team in general, which is interesting. But PF had him like as like a eightieth corner in the league. Or something like that. So Darius was definitely worse. I don't think he was nearly as bad as grades would have them to reflect and that was something that also make a bunch of players talked about that as well as Toronto Matthew had a tweet where he was like, you know this is these much better than this Joe. Hayden had one as well. Right he's at teammates come out and say that like scheme was a problem and it wasn't really a fit like he's had. Plenty of people defend Darius slay has made no bones about the fact that he did not want to be playing football, right? I. Am a strong believer in player. We'll play better if he likes playing, which is slated not like flying twenty nineteen, right. So all of this to say just to give background information to to put in clear hard writing dairy sleep did not play as well as he typically hasn't twenty nineteen and I do not believe that is indicative of a tailing on right I mean I'll be the first to tell you when Joe Haden started playing poorly in Cleveland. This Joe Haden getting old and bad then joined and went to Pittsburgh was like screw you right. So we had to acknowledge your corners and extremely volatile position and man CB ones with their personality Darius slaves got a big personality. They don't like what's going on I mean like it's not hard to explain why sleigh was worse and it's also not hard to predict that sleigh would just simply be better noon buyer. So we start there. The shadow stats are good. Relative to what eagles corners did against outside receivers last year. Anything would be good. Let alone quality performance against some pretty good wide receivers. The Amari. Cooper game was great by sleigh Attest Eagles could use. To handle that Bagai especially as they deal Dallas twice a year with a bigger wide receiver core lest we forget that when the eagles stepped into the playoffs last year, there were thirty second in the League. In yards allowed to outside receivers twenty-ninth an explosive receptions. And two touchdowns and twenty-seventh in yards per targets. None of that is good. Those are all from from Sheila with the athletic. Anything is better than what we had Darius slay, who is probably better than he was in two, thousand, nine hundred and has experienced staying on the outside also moving into the salon following wide receiver ones is definitely better. How much better can it be because you and I have sat here and we've talked about how Jim Schwartz puts his players on the field previously co like I said Corson's Schumi vol position like you said with Keenan Allen you're gonNA. Get burned. Yeah. You'RE GONNA lose it a a rep drive to a player of Keenan out of the Allen's. Caliber. So we can't sit here and say corn planes to be perfect for defensive be successful if you're looking for that, it's GonNa, take you a very long time. We get a good defense because most evens in the league will never have that even if they do get it, it's very hard to sustain that over time. So talent isn't enough. Deployment also has to improve which is why what Schwartz saying, what he said is such a big deal because we've consistently asked from Jimbo for a little bit more flexibility a little bit more confusion a little bit more. window-dressing concealing what the intentions are not spa dropping into cover three and Schwartz gave a really long and detailed answer which instead of just reading sleigh my shadow, we should read the whole thing because he said, I'll read the straight from philly voice. This was this was Jimmy who had this over the last couple of years we've taken a lot of strides try to avoid the tells on our defense whether it was. In, zone a really started the week after the super. Bowl. When we started meeting before the two thousand eighteen season, we saw where people were going with man routes and pick rows and things like that and said, okay, we're tired of complaining to the officials we got packed. So we need to mitigate it ourselves to combat it in different ways. One of the ways we did that as we didn't have corners go over. This is what he's saying here is against the to receiver set the outside corners on the outside receiver. If those two receiver sets, those receiver Swiss release that outside corner will not follow the outs he would not go over the switch instead he would stay on the outside and take the the new guy released to the outside. By the way we've seen the eagles have issues with that from two, thousand, eighteen, two, thousand, nineteen when they've had to switch to communicate that as well. Right a new the fact that the eagles defense over the last season has been trying to solve punches..

Washington releases RB Guice shortly after arrest

"In the National Football League today came from Washington Washington football team. Cutting ties with running back Darius Dice the Redskins, releasing a statement that they had released the running back just hours after he was arrested on a felony charge is one of the accounts of strangulation and this is a situation in the NFL. That is one that leaked. This does not want and when you're the Washington football team As I was still trying to get used to everything of saying that the not saying that the the nickname George, but just off seeing the Washington football team, there has been a lot going on with this organization and the in the the football team, making the Ah the immediate move to arrest to let go of various guys. Following his arrest earlier today. Yeah, that's one of them. You know You messed up, right? You really messed up. It is. It's pretty bad, like if the team is saying, all right, we're kind of cutting bait with you because he's still young. I mean, he basically has it played. He's been hurt his 1st 2 years in The league and the team under Ron Rivera is clearly saying we're going in a different direction. And then you go back on the heels off, which was which probably didn't allow the legal system to play out and say All right is the guilty is the innocent. Any of that is all of the allegations that had been hurled at the Washington franchise to begin with. There was the Washington Post article. I believe that came out talking about the sexual alleged Sexual harassment and misconduct inside of the organization. And now when there is a potential strangulation and domestic abuse or abuse in general Darius Guys, he didn't stand a chance. This is a This is a time when he was in the wrong place. Wrong Time had had been another franchise. They may have been a little bit more patient to see some of the facts come out. But after that, and the name a no way they're not taking Any negative press from anybody does not named Dwayne Haskins, you know, and and when we had John Middlecoff on last hour, just talking about the situation I don't see with with what you say with the injuries. With the the history And now with these latest, you know, following his arrest on the domestic violence charges, I don't see Darius guys being back in the NFL. I just I don't I don't think that I don't even think it's a situation. Well, maybe down line, it would have Tio. It would have to be that he gets exonerated on all charges that it is. Clear that he didn't do it like that's like that's the first thing, and then he's gonna have to go into camp on a minimum contract and prove his worth like He's gonna have to go to a work out to be a few running backs injured, but it's not gonna happen, Probably this season. It will be a next season kind of deal because he's got some legalities that are gonna have to play out which which We don't want to presume his guilt yet Mohr or his innocence for the poor for that bag, But You know, it's gonna have to wait for the dust to settle and with Antonio Brown. It took them a year to quote unquote investigate him and he was in professional purgatory, and he wasn't even facing legal charges. So who knows how long this will take?

How Does Your Garden Grow, with Nooks and Crannies

"Wants neglected plot on their recently inherited estate. The Duchess of Northumberland undertook to make special garden inspired by a trip to the MEDICI estates in Italy. The Duchess wanted to make a garden that was both beautiful and educational. The carefully tended plot features things like a trope. Abell Donna to tour common moral monkshood white. Hello Bore Blue Ensign, flowers and narcissus. It's called the annick poison garden. Because like the sign at the front gate, says do not touch any of these plants. These plants can kill you. My Name's Moxy and this is your brain on facts. We hardly need to say that mankind has been growing food for a longtime. The earliest domesticated plants and horticulture that we have evidence of thus far date to nine thousand B C e in the teen corridor the that runs from the Dead Sea to the Damascus basin. The people there planted grains legumes using sticks to dig in the dirt. The first written reference to gardening dates back soumare in lower Mesopotamia. King Gilgamesh mentioned that his city or ACC was one third gardens. Though. He probably meant orchards as much as anything else. From Egypt. We have paintings and models gardeners at work, and you can still see the remains of the Temple Gardens at Karnak. Or you can head over to Iran to see the layout and information channels of garden that was created twenty five hundred years ago. For the oldest garden we can find in Europe had over to Greece. Were Gardens both practical and ornamental were being put in by seven thousand vce two thousand years before the Egyptians. The creation of a new science botany, the study of plants meant that gardens became a place of learning even in the ancient world gardens could be an aesthetic choice as well as a practical one. Evidence suggests that the idea originated in Persia with Darius the great and his Paradise Garden beginning a tradition of walled in garden spaces. Lavish Villa Gardens in the Roman Empire Spread East China and Japan where Aristocratic Gardens featured miniaturized and simulated landscapes, like rock, gardens and waterfalls. Natural symbolized power and religious thought. Zen Gardens appeared and emphasized the concept of using the garden for reflection to increase. Want Wisdom. The most famous garden in the ancient world is undoubtedly the hanging gardens of Babylon. According to Legend in the sixth century BC. King Nebuchadnezzar a name that is never not fun to say. Bill to the gardens for his wife, a modest to ensure that she didn't become homesick for her birthplace of Medina near the Caspian Sea. But we don't get details of the garden from Nebuchadnezzar himself. Which is odd considering that he recorded his many other accomplishments in cuneiform, but there's no mention of the gardens. Several, ancient Roman and Greek writers wrote about the garden though. Some scholars argue that the gardens were actually built by an Assyrian Queen or the King of Niniveh. We don't know for sure because despite the gardens being one of the seven wonders of the world. We can't find it to study it. It's believed to have been destroyed by an earthquake in the first century C E. So why were they called? The hanging gardens were the garden beds suspended. was everything planted in hanging baskets? Bonus fact, the largest hanging basket planter in the world is on the side of the hotel. Indigo in the Paddington Section of London. It measures ten by twenty feet or three by six meters and weighs upwards of half a tonne. Now the hanging gardens didn't really hang so much as they over Hong or draped and their defense, the draping garden doesn't sound nearly as appealing. Accepting the premise that some royal or another wanted to build a royalty grand garden in the desert, it was going to take careful planning and serious engineering to pull that off. "All right we'll interview with all pro linebacker Darius Leonard. What was your favorite part of that interview? Not that we had the privilege of meeting the FRAT brother Yes yes I forgot about him. Yes is going to make a mega man But I said it's meeting him at the pro bowl was cool because he you know he's a big time player talking about having the heaven five sacks five interceptions You know he's a tackling machine a guy who's now the face of that defense when if you'll back to the colts years ago a couple of years ago it was a guy by the name of Dwight Frady in a guy a host of other guys who kind of let that defense Until historic ranks. Now this guy by the name of Dares Linnet bigtime. Linebacker has a little bit of an underdog Underdog but he definitely walked around with with a kind of a chip on the shoulder came from South Carolina state. Yep ACC you live. People didn't know who he was. He was snubbed. His first year in a league is supposed to go to the pro bowl. We didn't make it He talked about that. And I think when I haven't watched the guy play And he even mentioned in a podcast how he doesn't watch film right. So let's you know. He's a instinct ball plan. Yes at home If you know about Mars Taylor which I do because I grew love and Lawrence Taylor. Orange Taylor wasn't in the family room. He was a guy who played off. Instincts displayed off. Just being the animal. Feel you kind of get a feel like that with us. A guy once. He puts his feed him cleats. He's straps it on. He does job and he does his job at one hundred percent. He's not one of those guys walks off the field like man should've could've would've he actually leaves it all out there. And so seeing him play and watching how he handles. His business is kind of refreshing. 'cause he's he's a guy who's not a big guys not that doesn't have a mincing bigger guy who once he gets to fill he sees ball gets ball and he makes and he makes it happen so. I like the Guy I do. I got nothing but respectful outside outside of MB Frat BROTHER HE'S A. He's an absolute dull these are. He has a bright career. This was cool So we met him in Orlando at Universal Studios. Like player day. That you know Willie hooked up with that was players only in their families. And you know you're walking next to Zeke Elliott. Drew brees yet is. I will say that from my perspective from being a fan of the game you know seeing all these guys play every Sunday and then meeting Darius Leonard Us. Actually the most personable garage that we met he was like very cool and just like talking with us And it was also very cool. You get excited about taking a picture of someone because that is a rare picture. Because you know we're in the same frats you guys were very cool but yeah. I mean when he came into the interview. Great Guy I think he opened up definitely Especially once we talked about his High School Game. He was in a state. Change of football game now. Twenty one up twenty one points. Fourth quarter loss. He got stiff arm goal line and that really fueled his like busy guy who plays a huge chip on his shoulder. You named search themselves after every game just so. He can get more like hater fuel. This is a guy who I would never that against because he is an absolute monster. Nickname is the maniac is as you said a CBO get all linebacker. Just a lot of really cool stories about You know what he projects for his future you know. I asked him you know. What does the future hold? He said he wants to play twelve years. He's already played. That's ten more. He wants to win Ten Super Bowls New Ones Win ten defensive player. He wants when eight super bowls. He wants seven Super Bowl. Mvp's Mukisa very driven guy. And he just you know just going back to his first day of senior will practice. He was offline one on ones in he. Just you know straightened it out On stats me. Was I think he actually does of a photographic memory a he recognized me like remember that we'd met which was very odd Sure one of hundreds of people that he met when the Asian guys with a black guy is at the principal dreads but he he was saying he could like remember. He knew the entire bengals offense when they played week one his rookie year like he knew every play. They're gonNA run and where it was going like that type of stuff is just. I sit on the show. I think he's GonNa. It's very young in his career. I think he's going to be hall of Famer. I think he's GonNa be like a no doubt hall of fame. I think he's back good of a player. It'll be very cool to see when he gets to free agency You know he said he wants to be completely reset the market. I think that'll be very interesting. Is going to be most likely the first hundred million dollar plus linebacker so really excited to meet him. He's obviously such a talented guy. Young really smart for getting into media when he is because he is such liar that everyone's talked to him he's setting himself up for a very successful post-chris so I love the way he is. I think what you're gonNA see from him going forward as far as his game evolving I could see this guy. Put his hand in dirt. I won't point In Russia it off the edge. It goes after a while. You know it's one thing that Kinda rush from the linebacker position but if you can now you know litter over to what the Baltimore Ravens used to do of having a kind of hybrid linebacker. Nick Rush and really get after the quarterback has the frame. It wasn't enough obviously meat potatoes. We use the weight room. We'll get more You can be a medicine man. I mean the guy's replant extremely high level I'm excited to see him go. I think the dish Philip rivers is really going to compliment him in that defense and you know they have the office line. They have a couple of Eric. Brown is now steeler by the way but they get enough pieces to trump coats. Maybe one of those sneaky good teams where you know come January like what the what. Okay as once you go through their lineup and see who they have on that side of the ball The goats the colts may be a serious problem. Come January yeah All right so. This is really fun episode. We want to thank the listeners again. For Racking Lewis another week quarantine.

"Obviously with the age. You hope it doesn't drop off. We don't know We can't see the future but a bill G. Any final thoughts on. How you're feeling about this trae. Would you go thumbs up or thumbs down a firm thumbs sideways for me? do when judging things coward An unnatural thing. Yeah really Good take in terms of Not being offensive and I again just to reiterate like dislike Darius lays a player at all like watching highlights. He's awesome. I have some lions fan friends. Some guys from our friends over at pride Detroit and so we have a little bit of the extra attention. Maybe on the lions than near the the average yield sent would so I? I really liked area sleigh. Obviously like Darius lay in my friend Alex Reno here who kind of gave me some insight for bleeding green dot com said. He feels like can be an corner. Still and part of the reason why he wasn't so great in Detroit Especially last year was the just you know. He doesn't think he's a pure man corner. Thinks he's going to do better in zone. He also kind of but one concern. I will highlight in this kind of goes to the AIDS thing in the injury thing. Is that okay? So sleigh has never missed more than three games in the season. That's good and then you don't miss nine games over his career also fairly good. The issue is like he. Oughta nagging injury issues. Last year would seem contribute in part to his poor play So that's not the best thing. Maybe you can get over it. And it's not an issue moving forward but that's just kind of yours who over nagging injury and Philadelphia of right here. The medical staff will fix it. It's no big issue. That's part of the concern of me is just like okay. Is this guy going and that in being more serious about the nominee thing which again is not a real comparison. Although I'm literally saying it's the same thing is just that like is this player. I notice players being good. We're not debating that it's just like how does he project moving forward? That's kind of where my mind? I do have a tape which is like Darius slay does have the personality that projects as I want to be really good at my new team because screw you matt. Patricia like in terms of the motivation to come back and have a bounceback season. Sleigh does kind of have that vibe to me I like I don't know I I'm more worried about the nagging injury thing than I am. Anything else in terms of like how he's going to translate to Philly. I don't think we're GONNA have a lunch in the car situation. Yeah I think it's going to be totally different than that all right. I'm going to open the floor up before we go to break your anybody with a last word on Daria. Sledge's jump in right now. Perfect all right Jimmy. Yes give the throat it to break back into this hiring is difficult. "Song there from Darius Rucker welcome back to the all financial our here was Steve all this weekend I'm Jennifer Perry and Darius was actually a guest here on the show awhile back and talks about the importance of family to him the boarding as being home with me and you know take the kids to school and pick him up and going to basketball games and that's the important stuff you know the job takes me away from that but usually when it is taken away from the weekend or somewhere I could take the family with me you know you know sometimes I got to fly away and be gone for a week but I always remember what's important and what's important for me is being with my family all the other stuff allows me to be in my family allows me to live a great life but you know work doesn't come first so many more like it used to he's one of the rare celebrity Steve who actually told us I do plan to retire most of these guys wanna keep rocking and touring and everything else dear he said no I do want to hang it up eventually so I can spend more time at home with the family I thought that was refreshing well it's it's very me because he is true they and they go up way too quick yeah they said it was probably the best advice I got when I was young you know a member of a Country Club and everybody was older so their kids were about my age get married and almost all of them said the exact same thing I wish I would spend more time with my kids yeah and I said I don't want to do that that's not one of things I want to be saying when my you know when my kids are getting married yeah I wish I spent more time with them and so we spent a lot of time with the kids and I the memories are fantastic the memories are fantastic and I see the people you know the moms in the dads when the kids are acting up a little bit the stores into and stuff like that a look at him I said enjoying weather little rain because they're going to grow up very quickly yeah don't worry about these times like this and I think that's why you have such a close relationship to with your kids today but the great thing about retirement is for those who maybe felt like they missed out during their working years on some of those moments you do get to spend more time with your family is one of the great things about retirement but it's also too when we start thinking more seriously maybe about the kind of legacy that we want to leave them as well so can you talk a little bit here Steve about the importance of planning that legacy for them as opposed to just hoping it all works out okay for your family why I like to look at the legacy here there are state planning issues a lot of people say well I don't need to do that as much anymore because the estate tax is so high now you know it's currently it's eleven point four million dollar exemption as a married couple it's twenty two point eight most people say I'm not in that category and that's when I look at it as it is state planning is really not just about estate taxes and having those are are important most people have in again I'm not a lawyer but I know lawyers and if you need to get one give me a call I'll give you the name of some lawyers that can can assist you with you that but most wills and trusts that I see or what I call I love you wills and trusts they're basically to the fact that I love my wife if I predeceased her everything goes to my wife and if she doesn't I love my children get split evenly between them almost most of the wills and trusts that I see are in that category so a lot of uses for why do I really need that and I say to me the most important documents that you need is to have your powers of attorney for both financial and medical decisions and update a living will so that if you are incapacitated what kind of life saving methods do you want the war to change a lot on this because of the fact that's where the problems start it's not expensive to do but then you have it we had Jack in Lori they came in they were both fine Jack was working we asked them do you have your powers of attorney yes they do everything's will's trust yes they had the documents in place or they told us they did and then Jack went down hill very quickly and within six months he was in a nursing home and when they went to get the power of attorney they had a power of attorney for real estate decisions they couldn't make any decisions you could get any money out of his IRA accounts the family started to argue so they went to conservatorship so they were taken over in an outside person from the county was the person that was over the estate on how Jack get his money almost two years later they finally now have a professional guardian slash conservative for them and it's just tough to do when a simple legal document could have made it very easy when either one of them became incapacitated that's the thing that I like to look at who's going to make medical decisions for you if you can who's going to make the financial decisions for you if you can't that's what people really need and those are powers of attorney the wheels in the trust I believe are important but knowing what to do if you can't make a decision is very very important please don't put your family through that it can cost a lot of problems yeah save them some heartache and some headaches too and often times this is the conversation that we tend to put off but at the all financial group they make this part of the full blown retirement analysis for a reason because they want to think about some of these things in a lot of you want to do the right things for your family to maybe haven't taken care some of those details if you'd like to start on.

"And look good in that. So. Good felt good. But then I had to look at everything. I was I think I will turn it thirty. You know, saying my contract was a. They would have brought me back on the lesser lesser years. You know, saying money was good, but less years, and I just had to think about where I was trying to go what I'm trying to do with this brand of wherever I'm trying to do like How? how. I'm saying so for me, it was like what Jordan has done the blueprint that he has laid is incredible. And it's amazing, and I'm thankful for because I'm able to take a little bit and go do my own thing. So that's what I wanted to do. I want to go to China, which was unbelievable market. It was a global market and I wanted to build something of my own. I want to use a blueprint Jordan set for us and I wanted to build some own. So I've been with the brand now seven years, man. And I think to this point twelve way stores in China, you know, saying like, my brand is obviously growing and we're building. So I'm proud of you know, said I'm proud of of what Stanford. I'm proud of being like a young man from Minnesota Chicago and have enough confidence take myself globally and not worry about the coup factor in the US and understand it is bigger than that. And really try to build some. So like, I love my seven shoe. This is my last year that I've ever wear on the NBA court. But like what I lo they've allowed me to just be me. Loud me to just be free and like come up with as like, can I do this? Wheel no, less try. You know what I'm saying? Like, I'm the cheaper brand. So I have a lot of say, so wait a minute. So is real cool, man. I'm proud of my younger self making a decision, and I just found a lifetime deal with them to summer. So for me. It's like, I guess so much more time to build his brand. It's everything in me. So I'm happy about that earth dome. Man, we want to wrap it up. We've been doing since fellow man, we stupid, proud everything. Like, I say in our book is J Koby, and you and you are you know, what that is. That's like coming from where you came from and doing what you did. And not only on the court both for land would be how you give back to the community. How you put in charges? I your family give from your mom geo to everybody, we support you crowded. "Perfect senior day for me on those wait on feel like the The way. way it was a great look, it's you that's a win win. Darius leonard. That's we call a win win. So have you set a date yet? I don't wanna put any extra pressure on. But do we have? Okay. As you see now. That's not a rookie mistake. See you. Did it right minute. You did it in June. That's a smart move where you registered you registered somewhere. Can we check it out something can we help you? I'll be I'll be South Carolina's it'll be Myrtle Beach. Okay. Carolina fantastic. That's great. I'm thrilled to hear that. What's it like watching Andrew luck? When you have a chance to maybe stand on that sideline them. If amazing just throw that he made does it checks. Maybe he's just a great all around just watching way making great place. He's gonna best best quarterback in the leave. And I just love the Meyer watching them, and I enjoyed it. But maybe Dave me better with ill making stuff. Like that is great have led the team. Yeah. What what do you learn from him in terms of being professional being rookie as we've mentioned many times in this conversation? He take as body dole out stuff and how much fairly watch. And the way you have everything the skin. I try to limit that the way he's come in. And it was a laser take. He takes a lot of stuff. So I kinda try to talking everything is going to be like does he still have a flip phone or is he got as? Last week come on. He does little come on still. Yes, he got. He is today. What he's also. I still can't believe that. Now, what was it like for you when you were balling out early in the season? And as I mentioned at the top of this conversation you or the rookie of the month defensive rookie of the month for September. But the winds weren't coming and you're one in five walk me through what that was like for you. It was hard. I mean, very hard coming in knowing knowing that kind of thing that we have we have a lot of yoga, but we have a lot of great players and everybody was just going online. Even if I did a seventeen eighteen alkyl the game that still wasn't making several mistakes. So I had to get better at so once we was we had a team players only in dollars everything on the table and everybody got everything going. And we're gonna wasn't there. And and in terms of where this team can go now that you are six and five what's the conversation about in that locker room right now. Want to know every week? Just we only take it one game at a time. We we hope to be one about every week. We can do and goes, right? Always talked about being percent better each and every day, those are due to must do less. So just be what percent it'd be one each week. Okay. Now, you take on Jacksonville team, as you know, you're going to be facing Cody Kessler. There's no Leonard Fornet. This is team that is down. They they fired their offensive coordinator. I mean, there's a lot going on in Jacksonville. What's your guys approach with this one? Darius always is controllable legal control of planning playing on good, south ball depot side of the ball. I mean, we can't say what what they're gonna do..

"Ends November twenty six by himself. Shotgun Texas them looking plant sets up all up. Eric. Twenty four twenty three Eric deep. The second time today from thirty two yards away snap all downtick is up. It's got the distance. That's the colts radio network on colts fifth consecutive win. Once upon a time one in five now six and five Eric abroad has been a revelation. That's exactly what the line on though when they chose him in the top. I think it shows them as top ten draft pick out of North Carolina with who at which by the way is hard Mack Mack Brown is their new head coach is back. He brought her the MAC, I know the love e bronze been terrific Jack Doyle appears to be he's done for the year. He is done for the year. So it's going to be all Hebron all the time. Now, it seems in Indianapolis Darius Leonard the in my mind with all what you know, respected Denzel ward, I'm Bradley Chubb, those are guess your three defensive rookie of the year candidates right now think so this Darius Leonard has been something else. And he will be calling us as soon as he's off the field there in Indianapolis. Let's go to the phone lines right now that was fun. An interesting conversation interesting with Scott Boris, and you know, again, and I know people might say, well, he represents Bryce Harper. I mean, he represents right handed hitters to doesn't represent JD Martinez. Wasn't either guys when he said March? That was. Instead, he's they signed people in March as late as JD Martinez, by the way. So it's not a Bryce Harper thing where you're saying, it's it's it's biased against lefties, but he's not wrong because you never see shift on a righty with four guys on the right side on the left side of second. Because you need to have somebody man first base. You know, and how about that was interesting. I said no manager will ever agree to it. He says because that makes it more of a station to station game and managers are control freaks, and that means more control. They can control more of the game. It's not fun to watch. Right. I'm not here for that. The football version of it right now is the is like the Rams chiefs big twelve football where the analytics in the scheming. It's just like it. Doesn't matter run run the score up and on occasion, you'll get a defensive score because on occasion because of all of these dropbacks, you're gonna get somebody blowing up the line and blowing up the quarterback in the lead to some scoop score because when you run that many plays you're eventually going to have some stake. So it's now either a touchdown or sack fumble or punt right in those gang their few punts in those games, right or right? Yeah. Thomas morstead of the saints doesn't even qualify for any punting right categories doing. Now, he's over analyzed over analytics over schemed games are now touchdown or set forth fumble or picnics. Saimaa? And where he punter field goal is the outlier. I'm serious. You're right. Walter in Delaware, while we're waiting dairies Leonard here on the rich Eisen show. What's up, Walter? I rich how you doing? What's on your mind, sir? I love your show talk about the shifts because I disagree on only fifty seven coach through over thirty years. And I would have died crew Boggs Gwynne obvious ones 'cause they're singles hitters, but you take a guy like Don Mattingly who was a pull hitter. I know he had a short porch, but Manningly could spray the ball the place. I think the problem is that the theory today, it is we want the big bomb. Brockman, just Senate. He doesn't wanna watch station station baseball and his Red Sox and the Astros the year before where the two most balanced teams in the leagues in terms of Warren under spot with your with. Yeah. Struck out too much. I did that's. Right hitter. The Red Sox were the best at and you saw it in the whole postseason welter. They were the best to put in the bat on the ball. Everything was putting apply everything before. So my problem is that you know, when it comes to the the big blast. I get it. I get the fun. But you know, I haven't made you put your who lives near me. Who said they've tightened the ball to the point where you can't even get your fingers on the laces at some point..

"I was with them, and we talked about Darius Bazeley his upside. And how. Astronomically high it is. But obviously as Rich Paul said on the jump. This is a different kid in college did not motivate him in near while the G league, I genuinely don't know the answer that question it's all about how people will raise. Some people are raised for that marathon from people are addicted to the sprint. They can't see the forest from the trees because all they're thinking about it the here. And now that's one of the things that, you know, me being in the position that I'm in having a national platform on television and radio social media in writing, etc. Etc. It's one of the things that I have to negotiate one of the positions that I happen to go. She ate on a daily basis, you taking case by case in some instances, you might find a person or player in a situation where okay, you know, what I can afford to lay back and not go for all of this right now because if I'm patient enough, and I'm able to manage my time, or money, etc. Etc. I can I can take advantage of this particular situation where the dollars will come to me. Later, but then you have others that are impoverished, come from, desolate, backgrounds, starving, etc. Etc. And not only are you asking them to pass up the money. Why are you asking them to do that? You're asking them to trust the system that they believe in the train at the time. They were born. And when you have that going on at very very difficult to look at young kid in the face with family members to take care of loved them went to take yet not to mention themselves and say to them be patient. It's gonna come. It's gonna come. Don't worry about injury. Don't worry about politics. Don't worry about any kind of thing. Getting your way ultimately stalling your aspirations towards well, theme and beyond. It's gonna be the for you. No matter what that's a tall tall ass to throw in somebody's face because you're asking them to trust the system. That's one of the reasons I believe people matriculate to basketball as opposed to baseball football. It's not just because you can grab a ball and go to a hoop in a park, and it's cheaper than. Tennis lessons or going to a golf course or anything like that? It's because you don't have to wait. You gotta play three years of college football before you eligible for the NFL draft. You've got to go to a minor league system in most instances, everybody can't be Bryce Harper where you home schooled. And then ultimately, you gotta spend a minimum amount of time in the minors before somebody brings you up because you're you're you're you're you you got destiny written all over you. Everybody doesn't have that luxury. Sometimes you're asking little kids, you're asking young mind who mostly all minority? Individuals to sit up here and trust the system that in their minds have never looked out for them. I have a hard time thinking and believing that somebody's going to gravitate to this kind of thinking that you know, what we'll plan ahead. We'll prepare ourselves for the long haul and all that other stuff. They're going to be about the here. And now trying to get as much as they can while they can't is immediately as they possibly can. Because the only thing that you. You can trust is tomorrow. You can't even trust next week is gonna come. Yeah. I agree with you. I think it was a smart move to take advantage of the situation you're in especially understanding that you're probably only going to go to school for one year. Anyway, right. Able to secure guaranteed million dollars. You're able to get up to fourteen billion. And now you can become a full-time basketball player. You can work out two three times a day, really focus on your individual development. Wow. Polishing up with with the internship can alerting the ins and outs of an actual business. A million dollar probably getting close to billion dollar shoe shoe business..
