Yes and young wrong stories. They invented stories that untrue but the create movement. Yeah yeah yeah totally so also. We are stories. I have to notion that view. Of course view right stories. We can change stories spite telling them a new story. We we've changed story of being seven People a by by telling ourselves and the stories new stories Stories right as as well as we write them. It's like a and endless feedback loop and as a magician. You can kill into that and very carefully. Choose which stories you want to tell yourself and tell others in which way you tell them and Maybe a little by little changed these stories in order to promote Future that's better for all of us Can you give us an example of a story that changed you Yeah lots of them of course but maybe a very practically one. What do they do for their portfolio of industies. It's sort of akin to that. Yeah good good so in an ideal world you would focus on building the work place culture inside an organization so that you can in fact start attracting five star folks but clearly. We all know that we're never in a place when you can do it in like an order reading. Let's fix our culture and then let's bring in rockstars. So let's start where business guru jim collins starts which is getting the right people on the bus. We have some suburban superb talent in the sector. But not enough. So what's thwarting our ability to attract great talent in our nonprofit leaders. Let's go back to the bridge. Fan report right. I really identified that. In some cases in a leadership that is bureaucratic. That's risk averse that sort of small minded that doesn't look at different generations. different perspectives. The whole swath of talent as an asset even though it's uncomfortable so more lincoln approach of team of rivals That's definitely one of the not one. Those are the different reasons that we've seen time and again of talent that has choice. That wouldn't want to work at an organization where they don't have the agency to change it right. That's the big. That's the big differentiator. And that's a. That's a bigger issue today than it was ten years ago. Because hundred percent. You know the bad eggs in the bunch. The the the the the the troublemakers. I sort of curious if you've seen this as well. Yeah one hundred percent first of all. I love that episode that you did with charlotte thanks. It was so it was also super timely because we were just inundated with different managers being like. Oh my god they want to be in the corner office tomorrow like that type of wears this entitlement coming. From right and yeah. The book was incredibly really really important understanding. Especially now that we've got four generations working together in a workplace environment. Yeah and gen z. You know it took us awhile. Figure out and i'm not sure if this is you know like tora if you like this but there is something about gen z. You know when. I was at the kaplan foundation. We did a lot of education from day and i remember reading geoffrey canada's book and the community and the community school model and thinking about like wow schools are really raising kids. You know like that type of and then like thinking about like. Oh yeah we'll bring dentists and social worker in this to the school as the hub and it took us figure out like well or to ask the question. I should say like our workplaces. Raising adults fascinating. His back kind of feels like right like you can't get health insurance. You can't provide for your family without work. You can't get health insurance without work you. I think the last was like thirty. Five percent of people meet their spouse at work. The vast majority of folks at least wear engaged. Have a best friend at work. Your identity as a human being is work at least in american society and the libyan talk about the unhealthiness their rights. And that jen's e you hit it like it's there is such a different sort of bio rhythm to their expectations and their assumptions and their hopes and dreams. And all of that that there is quite a learning curve all around in that experience. The we're we're not just talking about executive directors are ceo's too. I think one of the things. I hear all the time that i believe is is a lost track of the point. We're making between the intersection of talent and were culture Or just the work environment is the what i consider to be a grand myth that there just are no good development directors out there. I mean con- on so first of all. I've probably done. Numerous podcast. talking about development is a team sport. But and i have a blog post called before you fire your development director and essentially. It's like look in the mirror boys and girls right. But that's that's the intersection. Right is i can find a rock star. But if i don't set them up to succeed and so so how do i. How do i navigate that if i'm an executive You know how do i navigate. That is that that coaching is at. You know what are you find. Or what do you find in these work. Culture assessments that. Stand out as things that that can be different without them. Being onerous dot net. Think in order to have that conversation based on where your firm is focused we should talk about micro controllers and a tiny am l. But it's very challenging to deploy machine earning or to run machine learning or microcontrollers and its resulting but maybe it's good if I did a bit of a wide so important to run machine learning microcontrollers. That makes it possible for those that have a copy of the Hash graph to calculate how each other how the other nodes in the network would vote on the order of transactions and so they come to to agreement on the order of transactions that get captured in this in this graph because it's a graph rather than a chain all of the transactions. They're flowing into the network can be processed simultaneously. There is no need for proof of work. This process that slows down blockchain to give the community time to come to agreement. There's no need for any of that and so we've basically eliminated the too constraining factors. Proof of work is no is not there. And it's a graph. Instead of a chain and the result of that is fantastic performance in it's got some great theoretical properties specifically it does achieve the limit in terms of security at something called a synchronous. What I find interesting is that while most of the market is looking for a really sexy killer. Commercial consumer focused use case. You know everybody's looking for that killer APP. That is primarily focused on building a big consumer focused use case. Our experience is just the opposite. It's for example as a category just audit based applications where you WANNA take some information in get a consensus time stamp on it and use that in various ways maybe their regulatory related. Maybe you need to be able to to just store information improve that it. It was what you claim. It was on a on a given date. There's just a whole broad range of business to business process optimization focused use cases that I think are the ones that are going to end up being the ones that take the whole market Mainstream or result in its mass adoption. And so that's the distinction that I'm seeing. It's it's not a one particular industry or one geography is more focused on B. Two B. process optimization versus consumer focused applications

But it's totally true. That building that physical barrier did present prevent people from crossing in a you know, an urban area where they could easily be lost. But then he kind of went above and beyond that to start talking about crime and L Paso in a way that wasn't it all supported by the facts, and the, you know, underlines this narrate. That there is an imminent danger to Americans. When in fact, what's happened in El Paso is that it's become much more dangerous for people in El Paso, crossover to see Juarez in what used to be kind of a twin cities environment is now much more of a place where people stay on their own
