So the three guys that left. Peter green had a pretty massive addiction to lsd and he was later diagnosed schizophrenic. Yeah a little bit of a spiral. After that jeremy spencer abruptly quit to join the religious cult called the children of god. I know about the children of god. Yes yes yes like. They had traveled to america. They were unto were then he was like i'm going to. I'm going to stay here. In nineteen seventy-three either remaining members of fleetwood. Mac told their manager cliff davis that they needed a break from touring and instead of making that happen. "I will stop. Where's my Dany Walter Dany. Mark, by the way, I don't want you know this or not, but guns need to be taken away from white supremacists, the white supremacist whether they have committed a crime or not, just the fact that they're saying crazy stuff. They should lose some of their rights and some of them should be First Amendment rights. Let's stop them from speaking because what they say is hateful and can hurt people. And also while we're at it, let's see if we can get Someone to stop them from having guns. Basically the idea these air thought crimes. You are thinking something or saying something that someone thinks is white supremacist or at least and that's a big, broad umbrella. Nowadays that people fold up in hit you over the head with and there's a piece this woman wrote. This guy wrote in The Washington Post was an op ed basically saying white supremacist extremely dangerous. And we need to do something to protect ourselves from them. That's not quite the thrust of the article. She is Reverend. Her mother was killed in the Charlottesville murder. She's the African American. Obviously. And she her argument is we must disarm, hate and what she does is, she cites that guns and white supremacists have have often gone hand in hand, and she starts off in 18 66 thing. You know what happened in General six. Isn't that unusual in the history of this country because it's happened in various other places, not the actual U. S. Capitol. The arm. Confederate loyalists stormed the Louisiana Constitutional Convention killed 34 Black Americans as they tried to vote for safe suffrage for free slaves. Then in Wilmington, North Carolina, my daughter went to Wilmington went to University of North Carolina Wilmington. So I'm quite familiar with this where you had the republic. You had blacks and white Republicans taking over, you know, just by through sheer popular votes, most of the government And the races. Democrats of the time overthrew the government. And they said, for no other reason. They ran the Blacks out of town killed up to 60 of them and said You, can you This is ridiculous. You know, whites are superior and they literally ran on it. There's a whole history told so we've heard all that. So she says that this image of that guy holding the Confederate flag in the halls of Congress to her was sort of like epitomized. So much of the African American ex American experience with white supremacists. Have a visa, be the Confederacy. So then when she's in the headline, does it says Disarm. But, she says, Disarm hate with hate in America. We almost take action to disarm it. And then when she gets down to it when the final paragraph it just says In truth, the responsibility for to advocate for gun safety extends to all of us. So this idea that they're going to come in and take your guns is not really what she's even Congress just talking for about Morgan safety. She thinks there need to be from a gun rights person. I'm sure it feels like it's gonna control. But she's just talking about gun safety and that that's that would be a good thing, because look at how horrible things can get out of control, But she's not actually advocating We're coming for their guns, even though I know that's what the writers most my love to hate. Like. Well, I think so. As long as you don't have a gun might be it if you didn't know. So I lose. So if I hate I hate I can hate people. People hated Donald Trump. Two people that hate lose any rights afforded them in the Constitution. Well, okay. No, I don't think so. Boss is not challenging, hates second mandate. Well, it does challenge First Amendment when people say that this hate speech and words are violent, and therefore your words hurt me says not. We're going to make sure we I know, I know, but I'm just generally it's able to throw into making a far far more safer place, which is If you're a white supremacist, and really who isn't nowadays, if your wife then therefore you really We had a kid. Maybe check you a little bit because at any minute you could go off and shoot and kill somebody. I saw that yesterday. Bernie Sanders, mittens that he wore in the inaugural at the inauguration have now been described as white privilege. It's like Are you kidding me right that because who is he to sit there in a puffy coat with big, puffy mittens on that when I saw that, the woman writes in the San Francisco Chronicle. That that just struck me as white privilege. It's like Wow, and she's like, how can I possibly tell my students? I guess she's a teacher, that how else to describe it? What did you see? We saw white men puffy jacket with huge mints distance, not only his social distance but his demeanor and his attire. What did I see? What did I think My students should see a wealthy, incredibly well educated, privileged white man showing up for perhaps the most important ritual of the decade in a puffy jacket with huge mittens. So not not the central argument of the day, John, but that's I don't know, but it just generally job you could find it wherever you want. You could find him. Come, Amine. Yes, You're right. I mean, that thing you showed up on my lawn front lawn. That was the more this is also a form of white schools have yet to reopen in San Francisco, but their arts department has continued to work towards ensuring that all students have access to quality arts education. The director of that department said. We are prioritizing anti racist arts instruction in our work, so they got rid of the acronym Bapa, which is short for visual and perform. See if you could follow this. The acronym is is white supremacy. Forming arts. From now on, they'll simply be called sf USD Arts Department It is a very simple step we can take to just be referred to as the except UST Arts Department for families to better understand who we are. In a memo, he explains that acronyms are a symptom of white supremacy culture the use of so many acronyms. Within the educational field often times tends to alienate those who maybe don't speak English to understand those acronyms That's based on a 1999 paper, written by author Temur Oken, titled White Supremacy Culture. Oken told me that our culture perpetuates racism when things continue to be written down in a certain way. Yet the San Francisco Unified School District uses so many acronyms on a daily basis that if you go to their website, there's a section that tells you how to find out what their acronyms Or abbreviations mean when we asked.

Donald Trump is finished, but will 'Trumpism' prevail?

"It's been more than a week since the us presidential election joe biden of course has claimed victory whereas the president is yet to concede defeat but when donald trump eventually leaves office the question. We have to ask ourselves is is trumpism. Really finished after all the media conventional wisdom the new york times washington. Post the major networks. Cnn msnbc all that conventional wisdom is that the twenty twenty election represents a repudiation of trumpism and what's trump luckily to do after he leaves office well for more. Let's turn to patrick. J buchanan senior adviser to president reagan nixon and ronald reagan. Pat has been a regular fixture in america's opinion pages and cable television shows for generations. Ninety ninety two and ninety six pat buchanan ran for the presidential nomination of his party. The republican party on america first platform pass walking back to you between the lines. Good to your tom now. Let's start with the election itself to spotted trifecta of crises health economic racial the us congressional and presidential contests were very tight. How do you account for that. I think there were tight for this reason. The covid virus which hammered us in march and april and then all during the summer and full took the lodge. That's two hundred and thirty thousand americans and they induced an economic decline unrivalled since the great depression. And then you have to racial turmoil in the country. And the wake of the killing of george floyd in minneapolis riots. And and things like that. So he's really damaged trump in the eyes of the public and his administration and normally they would've killed any presidential candidate. But i will say that in the fall. When trump was further behind he basically one mechanic team won the battle against biden. It was surging at the end of the campaign but he did not get over the top or at least so far so i think what you can say is trump and trumpism won the campaign. They lost the election because of the burdens. They had to terry which were too happy to cross the finish line. And let's not forget that in the late up to the election the metric conventional wisdom the polls the pundits. They predicted a democratic sweep. A blue wave washing the republicans out of power capturing the senate and delivering an alleged democratic congressional majority if the democrats did indeed have a clean sweep of the congress and the white house what would radical progressive in the american takes. What would that have made if you had nancy. Pelosi in control of the house and chuck schumer and control. The should i which looks less and less likely now and preston biden into white house. Biden's problem would be the tremendous pressure from the progressive left wing of this party to impose his leftist agenda. The party home to the country in the first two years of his administration. And i think it would be virtually impossible biden to resist the democrats cheap to kill the filibuster. Which would eliminate the ability of the republicans to stop their agenda and we would be off to the races with medicare for all the green new deal statehood for puerto rico statehood for dc. Defunding the cops. Pack the supreme court the whole left wing democratic agenda. They would try to ram through with fifty one votes. In the senate and biden frankly would be restraining force because republicans wouldn't be able to do it if they lost the filibuster in the senate which is what. Barack obama urged the democrats to take away if they win the senate okay now bought and has pasta to sydney electoral college. Votes needed to win the white house now given that it's very hard to prove widespread electoral fraud pat. Why want trump just accept defeat. Here's trump is demanding that he be allowed to play out last play of the deal. Because i think he feels he has been treated horribly by the democrats and the liberals in the press and he's not gonna do them a favour. He's got a right to make sure. The counselor made and certain things happen by certain dates. He's not going to speed up the transition. It's not gonna be a pleasant transition at all. He's going to treat them the way they felt. They treated him when he came in with the russia investigation and all the rest of it. So i think what you're getting is. Trump is looking at upon this if it succeeds is a hostile takeover of the government of the united states. And he is acting to resisted with every legal constitutional weapon. He has so it's This is not a cordial country power at all. Okay but with dany. Before the nineteen sixty presidential election between richard nixon and john f kennedy. That was very taught. There was a lot of speculation about electoral fraud in texas and illinois. And that of course benefited. The democrats won that election now. Apologies for the very scratchy. Sound quality of these vintage news report from sixty years ago. but he's nixon. Your boss pat here. He is at four. Am at republican headquarters. After the election conceding. Defeat to and and results shows come in if the present trend continues If mr kennedy and senator kennedy will be the next president of the united states senators kennedy now. And i want you know that. Certainly this trend has continued and he does become our next president that he will have my. That's richard nixon conceding. Defeat john f. kennedy in nineteen sixty pat buchanan. Why can't trump do a nixon accept defeat graciously that at four am gathering. My wife was present. She worked for richard nixon and the nineteen sixty campaign and travel. The country would and the point is that was a different time in a different country. That america's today america's bitterly divided and one of the contributing factors is the is the belief correct in my view that donald trump was denied. Not only a good transition but donald trump was investigated by the fbi and during the transition. They went after his state of the fbi did and they had a two year investigation beach. Kim they try to defeat him then they tried to overthrow him. And i think trump feels this and he says i established nothing. They can go. I mean they can go too far as i'm concerned and we're going to run this old way out and make sure every ballot is counted and all the towns are accurate. And whether or not we're going to go to court and exercise our rights and we're not going to pretend otherwise that this is a pleasant for easy transfer of power this was a hostile takeover and trump's view. I mean they're campaign run against him former first lady. Michelle obama is already talking about the house and he could and racism and the rest endemic pain in what he come folks voted for. So i think look you gotta divided country and there's no sense pretending otherwise and trump is not gonna gauge any pretense.

Germany divided as states lift lockdown

"Jams and night clubs being allowed to reopen today in several German cities and towns country continues relaxing its corona virus restriction so what I'm gonna wanted Germany's regional leaders who have the power to decide how and when each of the sixteen states lift restrictions and despite broad public support for Mrs Merkel's cautious approach they relaxed measures over the last few weeks the regional differences but as of today most restrictions would have been significantly eased the Germans will still be required to practice social distancing grandma asks in shops and on public transport there's been no noticeable effect on the number of new Dany infections but scientists and politicians are watching anxiously

"Oh, yes. They literally were in each other's arms that. I mean, they wrote and directed this thing they wanted us to see that scene that gotten editing bay. And you're like, yeah, that's what we need. And I, I guess it's more. I mean, it's more of a Tyrian moment than sorts, Jamie. And I'm fine with Tyrian moments. I wanna say that is more about Jamie being dead than see being dead. At least I hope so I hope that's the vibe, they're going for. And that's what I'm taking away from it because otherwise what the hell you're person that was, like really on board is dark Queen and bought all the stuff and and was really on board with her being crazy or, and, or that being a militarily sound tactic, the burn king's landing. What did you think about her? Join me on the dark side speech, John snow. Do you think that, that worked for those people? Did it work on any level for you? Yeah. As a weird Danny was like, after this, it does sell more to me, like just a moment craziness, because she doesn't see any danger with John, like she's got no wild. Odd. Now it's so clear to me. John, now that I've been shackled from von shackled from the bondage of morality and ethics. I can see clearly what needs to be done, and, and you'll love me still won't you won't you. I mean where did this Dany come from? No, I mean, the villains in any story, any good store. Anyway, always make a certain amount of sense to a certain number of characters. And I think you know if if. Your grey, worm. If your John and you see this, maybe it doesn't have the same effect on me as viewer where I just go. Okay, Dan, he's evil. And there's absolutely no redeeming her. And this time to kill her. That's my reaction. But clearly, and I think people who, like, maybe gave Danny a little more leeway on there. Her whole burning king's landing thing. Yeah. Maybe they. You know, all those scenes John and said, okay, we'll John loves her. And you know she's trying to do the right thing in the long run. I can see some kind of weird justification but not in my head man. Well, it's funny 'cause like there's a contingent of people trying to argue that what Dana did yesterday or last week was horrible. But like still militarily sound like it was a sound tactical decision to inspire fear, despite the double DS in the you know, many after episodes, special features last week saying, oh, is just a, you know, the military battled been one, she was this was a rash kind of spur the moments kind of frenzy that took over her this episode, I think made it very clear that no, she's just offer rocker. Yeah. Because like this is not the let it be fear, then Dany. This is over that side of psychosis. And now thinking everybody is on board. And so there there's one thing I forgot that I quite liked that. I wanna mention. Was during the king's mood, the whole ad MIR standing up to be like I would like the firm vary mediocre hat to the Reagans of Santa shutting down. Yeah. And then him looking around to all the great lords, and nobody's going to step forbid. No hear him hear him. That's a lot of good call backs. I thought. And that's what you wanna do at the end, you know, you wanna give people you wanted to bring of game of thrones. And I think it did. Yeah. Anything else? You wanna talk about. I don't think so what are audience wants, this is the part where we have to say goodbye to everyone is on a clip number. "I've watched her a lot of the my wine. But by the end, you're really horrified, and it's actually sort of a super heart ending. And so in some ways, these are more pleasurable to just watch. Because in the end, I guess some people get screwed over and things are bad. Like the end of the fire the net flicks fire festival documentary, these people who live on the island just got totally screwed over. So there's some of that, but children aren't dying like in the Jonestown documentary or something like that. So I guess at least that anyway lasting umbrella academy, which I gotta say, I don't want. I I don't know how you feel about it Mattie, but I'm actually pretty frustrated by it, and they don't write this. Okay. I wasn't sure what you're gonna really like it. I am two episodes away from the end. It was girl watching together that we stopped on the same episode and probably first, and then we got to that up sewed. And she and I just looked at each other. And we were like we might be done with this show called like the day that never happened is the member, but I guess I'll just say like in very vague terms. There are a lot of lake female characters dying on this show and like people of color dying. And it starts out being such a great diverse science fiction casts, and then they kill certain characters that I really liked and they just I don't know. I was really disappointed by taking the turns. I think it's gonna take where the least interesting characters are going to be there at the end saving the day. I haven't finished it. But I just it's also like a time travel show. But the time wasn't really interesting to me. And it doesn't make any sense. So that's so I've struggled with this. I really thought it was going to be cool. I love legion. And I thought I was like take another like kind of wackadoo, you know, like superhero thing that's like dark and weird and trippy, and it just honestly it's that most of the show is just people kind of like staring at the floor and kind of being sad at one another. It just doesn't it's such kind of bummer, and then it'll have Dany moments of sort of wildness, you know, where people in crazy Masol blow up. There will be a dream sequence dance. Where like suddenly they're in like in their imaginations, Wes Anderson, escalate Royal Tenenbaums, but everybody has superpowers vibes which I kinda like, but the whole show isn't quite that. So it's just right. It's very inconsistent. And then the time travel stuff just like they introduced the idea, and this isn't really a spoiler. But just there is a lot of time travel in the introduce this sort of idea of like there's like a bureaucracy that's in charge of time travel. There is like office workers and you go to this like the the bureau of time travel. Or whatever. And they're kind of like these drudges office workers, and I've seen that at this point so many times and the good place. Does it so much better? But then even in big mouth, they kind of introduced the same idea and big mouth where like they're all these shows. I'm watching are constantly introducing these like metaphysical bureaucracies. And so none of the ideas feel that fresh to me and just the actors like a lot of them aren't really that. Good for misfits. He's been kinda cool. Like, he who goes back in time to the or whatever. And I liked that. He was really not doing anything. You mentioned the best one on the show. Entirely about heaven is an office with Shemi in and like God is trying to destroy the world. Newish new one isn't Daniel Radcliffe on it to the one. I'm thinking of there's a difference. It's like a good place..

Right. I mean, allegedly escaped his home by hiding inside a car driven by his wife. He went to a gym. Although he later told police he stayed only a few minutes because he felt very guilty and sick to his stomach for deciding to go out. Do why don't you just run in place at your house in front of your television or do some push ups and sit ups? Yeah. Do some jumping jacks. You definitely not allowed to go to pound town. "I worship tool everything that Maynard has ever done every every project. He's arcton Dany Carey's my favorite drummer. So, yeah, I've just always been total tool for you. Tool elements in three days grace. No, well, we are influenced by them just the chunky riffs in my style. I like to kind of like Dana carries, really articulate. And sometimes he doesn't like over uses symbols. And hi, hats and stuff like that. And I kind of cop that a little bit. I try not to have slosh symbols going on all the time. It kind of cleaned up sometimes actually sound heavier when closed up over heavy riff and stuff. So. And like. Older, brother. He's eight years old. And I remember like he always used to blast off in his room. And I just remember when you play this one particular ban, just the drums just sounded different. It was just it was I couldn't put my finger on it. But I loved it. And it was and just there's something about the groove. So I was always big big bomb guy. Right. One hundred ever replicated that Jason Bonham does pretty good with experience that has obviously that's the guy. There's something about the pocket then the way that he plays the relationship between the hi hats where the snare sits in the beat that. I don't think will ever be replicated chemistries rhythm section guys playing together for so long a lot of people musicians pick that up. But it's so important that chemistry with your drummer your bass player and sitting back on the beat make stuff heavier, and if you're always kind of jumping ahead. It's sounds more anxious. But if you sit back a little bit and with a slow heavy riff like I'm really into stone Iraq's. Oh, slow heavy chunky stuff. We have a lot of slow heavy psalms and that stuff kicks my king. Quite a bit. They have that blacks is the original stone. This day slow and heavy what you I listen to a lot of the same stuff date like the doors and nirvana a lot of grown stuff. I got into Marilyn Manson big time. When I was in highschool just made me feel better about awkward time being teenager. Used to snort Ritalin, right?.
