"Don't think he wants to go out this way. And I think going back to the pat solves a lot of issues for that dude. So I work with Jason McCourty. And Jason's lovely. And Jason's brother on Thursday night played his 200th game and started every single game and craft came out during the week. And came out with a collage. And we're sitting there at the set and I say to Jason, I'm like, you know, not every team does that. And he's like, RK came in. He's like, that's our guy. And I'm like, yeah, and he's like, I only played there three years, but you have no idea the love that we have for that owner. And what he means to us all, and I'm like, it's good. I'm with Danny Amendola last weekend, the two of us went out. He was in LA, promoting this Fox show, special forces, Fox, but by Piazza. Watching that. We go out for dinner. And I'm like, do you still talk to the Patriots guys? Like, yeah, you know, I went to different teams afterwards, Miami, Detroit and Houston. He's like, but craft man, that's our guy. There is something special about that Robert Kraft relationship with the players when they won that I think it's universal, but it's got to be even stronger with Tom Brady. I'm just throwing throwing stuff onto the fire here. I'm glad you brought up crap because that's the last piece of this. So something very interesting has happened in the Boston sports team. The Celtics are the dominant team and the bruins are really, really good too, right? And it's turned into self experiment things. So you have the Pats playing buffalo. We're taping this before the pets buffalo game today and if the Pats lose their seasons probably over. The Celtics own the town. Tatum is the most popular biggest athlete in the town. By far, I have no feel for Boston sports, so you're telling me. He's Tatum's the guy. So I had my dad and my uncle went to see

"A couple of questions trickling in. Again, this is a live Q&A. So if you have questions, please ask them now. Get them in the chat. We'll get to as many as we possibly can here over the next hour. A name that has come up to me a lot. Big question in my mailbag this week was about Wes Welker. And if there's any chance that the Patriots Welker currently is the wide receiver's coach for the San Francisco forty-niners and if there's any chance you could see a Bill Belichick calling up one of his old players and bringing him here, I don't think to be fair that it has ended. It ended quite on a great note with Wes Welker, right? It's tenure. The free agency, the Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola of it. I don't necessarily think that there's a ton of love between Welker and Bill at this point. Well, let's not forget the Welker came back and he was around training camp wearing that Tom Brady mask during deflategate. Yeah, it's an interesting one. I don't know if how ready is Welker, where was he in that chain of command because Mike mcdaniel obviously had a very big role. So how much was Welker doing like that to me is the problem with the internal candidates. I want somebody with a little more experience. Somebody who's called plays in the NFL before, probably somebody more quarterback focused too. So I think Wes is a good coach. I mean, you look at what he's done with the guy like depot Samuels, the wide receivers coach out there. I just don't like, look, I'd rather than Adam gay, certainly. I just don't think that Wes Welker's necessarily the best fit in this spot. If it's like three or four years from now and max a little more of a veteran and maybe west has done some play calling out there in San Francisco, I could see it a little bit more. I just think that the time is not right on either side right now. To me, what's the difference between bringing west Welker here to be The O.C. or play caller in promoting Troy Brown to the same right? Yeah. I would just go with Troy Brown. Right, Trey brown's been here, Troy brown's been on the staff. He's studied under Josh McDaniels and learned from Josh McDaniels directly. It seems to me like that would be basically the same thing. You're just bringing back a former wide receiver who was a great player here and trying to fill a void there as the same way that I think Troy Brown would be able to do it. All right, let's wait. There's a really good question there in the chat from Mike Larry. Is the Patriots offensive coordinator job attractive to begin with? Okay. We can see that. I just think that's a really interesting question because I think the upside is tremendous. I mean, Josh McDaniels just got a head coach and job, right? But you're going to have to do a lot. You know, you're kind of hitching your wagon to Mac Jones and a unit that has a lot of room to improve. And I think for I think it depends on the coach..

"Not gonna spend a ton of time on this. Obviously, a couple of quick hits. David culley seems like he's way underwater already, which shouldn't surprise people. They are not very good defensively, Greg. Nick casario is trying to rebuild this roster on the fly. They've got the Desean Watson headache, which I think they've completely mismanaged. And so now, without Tyrod Taylor, being available, which has been unfortunately for him, the story of his career, they have Davis mills at quarterback. Last week against the bills at buffalo, their first half of offense was one of the if not the worst first half offensive displays I've seen in NFL history. Just your quick take a lot of crappy, you've seen a lot of crappy animals. I've seen a lot of crappy NFL football and I'll tell you this one takes the cake last week. You're quick like one minute breakdown of Houston if you have one. I don't have much, I am interested in a little reunion with the expatriates, many of whom. By the way, side note, I'll be interested to see we'll probably see a Bill Belichick embrace of Jack easterby during this game. First of all, Jack easterby in Seth wickersham's book, one of the curveballs I did not see coming was Jack easterby basically standing up to Robert Kraft GE wonder where he got this from. I wonder who told him this anecdote. Jack easterby, that basically, Jack easterby stood up the robber craft and said, you're not being fair to Bill Belichick. I stand with Bill. He's the greatest coach of all time. Basically something like that. There was some sort of moment. Very, very dramatic Jack east to be a moment. So we get, yeah, so we get Brandon cooks, Danny Amendola, Rex burkhead, Marcus cannon dick caserio. All the feels. Nick, all the feels. Look, I'll be interested to see I want to watch how the Patriots offense, you know, if they have any offensive linemen for this game or maybe they're just going to go like 7 on 7, like just one guy snapping in the middle of the field type of thing. I assume, the way they're operating, it seems like they're confident that some of those guys are going to be back from COVID and whatnot..

Don't wanna miss the call. The thirty five year old wide receiver is signing with your football team. Well in it appears that way from the woodland's and local kid. There's nothing about him. it's the process. He's had a hell of a. You need him hell of a good career. Well what it tells you is the patriots is about. It's about the system. Trust all that no one. That's exactly right. And even if it's not seventy catches trust. It's trusted was. He knows how to do it. He's a pro and he gets it. He's gonna be actually. He'll be thirty six during the season Forty six catches six to last year no touchdowns for the lines and you know what lines are brutal team. They never gonna have worse stats here though he had. He's had good quarterback. And but here's the deal and i agree. I don't know how much he's gonna play and it's not. This isn't a all my gosh. When pe- kept kiki qt would think why he's in the colts. Now right yeah. Why wouldn't you just kept cutie. Well it makes. That makes no sense to me. Take the shot on the younger guy to see if he blossoms him one more chance playing slot you and your thing over a thirty five year old washed receiver therefore their philosophy may very well be they seen enough dollars. Understand why you. Who are you competing against at on september the seventh that you need to go hand danny amendola two and a half million bucks. He made one million dollars last year for the lines. Indeed do you do know what franchise talk. i know. it's just it doesn't make sense okay. And here's the deal now with dammit. Dami danny amendola. The chances are what does this team going to run and play short. Made five million dollars short. He's making half that right. You're going to do a lot of short simple. Protect the ball. What's his specialty shall run run a three yard route catching the ball. All's at does is ensure that well. That's what we're going to do more of that we know is going to be in the right spot way. No understands what we're trying to get accomplished. Pro can also be a voice for these for some of these guys. That don't quite understand how to be pros yet. Although this team's loaded with those guys i get the heaves around brady. And i've watched clubs him before he's like when tom calls you're there. He knows he knows all the stuff that matters what to say. I don't need that guy on this team. would it be. I don't what ends up leading team catches with you trip out. Yeah because it means they're horrifically bad. That ingrained cooks got hurt. Or that means. They're playing a little too much horizontal. Football danny i am. I'm glad i mean here's a guy it's like it's again. It's not against him. it's just to me. It makes zero sense for them to go and do that. I don't understand why you not only sign him but also hand him two and a half million dollars. He'll be thirty six november. Guess what's not available for thirty five year old though normally for two and a half million dollars jolly football. Yeah i mean or do not play out there in the in in the woodland the two and a half million dollar jobs probably unless you decide all of a sudden you walk football and hey you're the ceo for an oil company gas in all. Okay cool i'll take that But you know what if danny's you put him through it and you think okay. He's in shape. I come simply down to me is understanding what they're trying to do and believe that he's a guy you can trust. It's that simple. Because you're not look he's not. You're not looking for an expert. Very few receivers are explosive at thirty six let alone the slot guide but in what they're trying to accomplish he adds that shallow. He'll average a handful. Er to catch and yeah. And they'll trust him in certain situations. And i would imagine. Nick who's knows in from the past simply had that conversation of doodoo..

"Radio All right, We are back. This is John Mark CBS Sports radio and joining us right now we send it down to Tampa. You're gonna report on the Bucks John Legend who covers the Buccaneers for the pewter report. You can follow him on Twitter for great information. It's at Ledyard, which is led. Why Rd NFL draft. John, What's going on, man? How are you? I'm doing great man. Just a couple hours away here and the city is pumped up. I just drove downtown to get an early look at everything before they let us into the stadium, And it's pretty sweet to see is that he comes alive. So how many's how? I know there's a lot of first responders that air going in that star there have already been vaccinated. How many fans are allowed in to watch the game? I think it's 18,000 and then 7001st responders, healthcare workers. I believe with the numbers so you'll get a you don't feel like the fans in the stadium. How many? How much of a home game? Do you think this is going to feel like John? Uh, I think it'll feel like when I mean, you know, I don't know that if I'm sure they'll be Chiefs fans here too Sure, Players after playing on season in the kind of stadiums that they played in anything's gonna feel just like more like noise than anything. Probably so It'll be interesting to see how they adjust. I don't think it'll be like such a home field advantage that the cheeks for some type of a of a disadvantage percent, but I think it'll more than anything. Just add tomo overall atmosphere that lot of games have lacked this season. Yeah, I agree with you. I think it's gonna be kind of kind of gonna be what we need his fans to be watching on TV for actually to feel like a Super Bowl with feels so weird if there was nobody in their right crowd noise and thinks John, How confident are you as somebody that covers the Buccaneers that they can win this game? Oh, very confident that they can. There's no doubt Yeah, I mean, this this team when they play their best football, they really they let some people you know, But the problem, though they're concerned for them is really four quarters and they do it for four quarters. And when they do something, while you saw the Packers game first after me if they continue to play like that, and you see they moved the ball in the second half. All their turnovers were deepened Backers territory, They moved the ball that just made these mistakes and usually doesn't turnovers. Well, these are strong passes or you know where they have some really serious play calling or it's one of those things. Usually they get them. You know, they started the game against the Chiefs back, and we 12 And they actually ended up playing pretty well offensively in that game, But the beginning of the game was just terrible. A couple drops. Guy's not looking for the ball in hot routes when there's pressure, you know, guys, not really seeing it. It was just kind of a disjointed now that is really changed since the bye week. There's been way less of those moments. And that's why they won three games. The glass that gives you a lot of hope for sure. I don't know if they put a completely behind him. You know that Packers game was another one like, Oh, man, come on, like You thought this stuff was behind you, But the way their defense explain lately gives you a lot of hope that the offense in still go through a little bit of one of those stretches, and they could survive. But the Chiefs are another animal, too. So you really can't afford to not be on their best game today for sure. Let's talk about Tom Brady for a second. Danny Amendola, the longtime Patriot, and I guess he's been with some other teams to wide receiver. He Said this past week in the media that the Patriot Ways not Bill Bell, Check the picture Waste. Tom Brady, Tom Brady goes the Tampa A talented team, you guys that the Bucks had last year, but certainly things changed. Did Tom Brady bring the Tom Brady way to the Bucks? Is that what we're seeing right now? I've been to a degree. Certainly, I mean, this is a very talented roster that really needed competent quarterback play to make the playoffs. Probably. I don't know what the record would have been, but I think They could have made the playoffs, just competent quarterback play. And when they got elite quarterback play that put him really an end to the Super Bowl conversation, and Jason Light has done an unbelievable job building this rosters through the draft and free agency. There was a lot of players ready to peek or break out this season or played much better, much improved football this season and that that's certainly happened for most of them. They've been able to, for the most part, stay healthy and even getting a guy like Peter Vader back has been used All of those things play factors. There's no question, but yeah, the difference. I mean, if you're asking me if they got any other quarterback that was available last offseason other than Tom Brady, would they be in the Super Bowl? Definitely not, You know, so he is the most important part of everything that they've done for sure. But I do think that this roster is a very good one and red, really competent quarterbacking would have probably put him in the playoffs. But the fact that Brady's been as good as he's been in his first year in a system that by the way Is just incredibly difficult for quarterback. This is not a schemed up easy stuff for quarterbacks offense Lot. There's like where little play action. There's no R pos. They're just very little automatic completion. And he is commented, just bawled out, and it's been the unbelievable to watch and John I gotta be honest during the during the you know the middle of the season, and I thought they would make the playoffs. I thought I thought they win 10 games. I didn't think beginning the season they'd be in the Super Bowl, but during the season There was the one after the one game where Bruce Arians came out and said that Tom this the Reed at believers, one interception, and Tom doesn't necessarily like when people are coming out. The coaches. He's not used to belt check. Never says anything in the media. He didn't actually seemed all that all that, please. And it seemed at the time it was like, Oh, yeah, This isn't gonna work with radiant and arians was that overblown at the time, and are you surprised by going back to that moment that they are where they are right now? Yeah, definitely overblown. I mean, again, like I think you're right belt. It doesn't say things in the media. But I mean terms the way coaches players he's he's about as tough one years of death, So I don't think there was anything new to Tom Brady at all. I I really Honestly, genuinely don't think he cared or noticed or thought about it. It just didn't matter to him at all. Didn't even register. Um, you know, he's hard on themselves. Anybody so I mean, like he he wants to be coached. Often. Arians has said that all season want to and by the way, are just complimented, if all season long too, But people kind of all the reactor, he says. You know, you missed the booster armistice reading. The area is what I like about him. It was great about covering them honestly is that he answers questions. Honestly doesn't sugarcoat things or say we're on the Cincinnati or anything like that, like he actually answers questions in any respect the fact that media of a job to do so he's Of this as much information as he can s O actually really appreciate about him. I think you know Tom and he have had a great relationship the entire time and that the key has been for them is figuring out and really the actual relationship that needed to develop was by the left, which income Brady What's the feel desire left? This is the play caller. What 33. What concept do you like? What reads you like If you get this coverage, what kind of we're getting this coverage all game?.

I'm grateful for all those times just everything there. I've learned so much throughout those times. I feel like I grew throughout those times. So if you're heading out right now, first of all, clean your car off completely. Give yourself lots of extra time to get where you need to be and keep those speeds down If you are heading out Right now. Now, the only delays you're going to get her probably behind these plow crews that are going up and down the major highways. And, of course, on those second, every roadways haven't heard of any major problems out there we had earlier issues here and conquered route to West found was an earlier tree that fell down in the right lane by Emerson Hospital. Tom Brady Praises Bill Belichick: ‘Could Never Have Accomplished The Things In My Career Without His Support’
"Year. Another super bowl for tampa. Tom brady the tenth of his career. But of course it's the first as a buccaneer. The first without bill belichick brady talked about the impact that had on his career at media. Day yesterday and i certainly could never have accomplished things in my career without his support in his teachings and in critical coach and mentor for me. I mean i've always had a great relationship rebel by Ever since i got two bucks there just hasn't been any contact at all so there were those and then there's this former teammate. Danny danny amendola did not seeing the same praises about bill. That brady did quite the opposite. Here's what he said when you see patriot way in a in. The dictionary is going to have tom. Brady's name next to it. None of those coaches learning passes. They got guys in the right position because they watch a lot of film and they spend all their time. But tom brady. Is the patriot way. And that's and that's the reason. Why in the super bowl right now in the patriots aren't that is what he said. Jeff saturday what is your initial reaction to danny. Amendola dollas high. That's what my my reaction. I'll know what happened to them on the where he's living. I know what he's doing in this offseason but to away those championships and give them all to tom. Brady is a little bit silly. I'm not sure it was tom. Brady on the field of malcolm. Butler made the interception to. Oh sorry he wasn't there riley. Yeah it took an entire football team. Listen this is an and questioned. It was belichick and tom brady is the reason they were so successful. If you look at this entire organization he built it. Those defense has. I personally played when they held our office at three points. The greatest show on turf. They hold them down. I mean look at how many games they have won that you need a great quarterback absolutely you need a great staff all those hours. Amador's talking about being there. There is a reason that team won so many games and it wasn't because of one person. It was because of the couple the relationship of check and brady. That's why they were the gold standard for the nfl for all those years. Look there's been a lot of reaction to this marcus reasonably speaking. You could have a conversation about whether the coaching is more important or the players are more important. That could be in any circumstance. That's a reasonable discussion to have to use it to diminish what bellichik has accomplished. I think is what is created a lot of people's problems you want to say. The quarterback is more important. The coach fine. That seems like a reasonable opinion but to use it to try and take anything away. Marcus from what bill belichick has accomplished is what i think is rubbing a lot of people the wrong way.

We'll get his thoughts on Danny Amendola said This yesterday he was on Fox Sports, I believe and he said, Hey, the Patriot Way is Tom Brady. You know, when you see Patriot way in the dictionary, it's Tom Brady. It's nobody else's not Bill Belichick, and I think that sort of reignited this discussion here of who's more important for the Patriots success. Barry Sanders little bit later on as well. As well as on twitch used. The CBS sports radio Channel to watch it on twitches. Well, so let's talk Super Bowl 55 here. This matchup between Pass rush of the Buccaneers off offensive line of the Chief's. Does it look like a mismatch to you? Because the chiefs are dealing with so many injuries? It's gonna be a tough one. I mean, when you think about J P p on one side, and then you've got shocked bearing on the other side. You can see there's gonna be a lot of issues. Um, you know, you hearing people going back and forth. Talking about, you know, the Kansas City Chiefs. And how are they going to be able to handle this mismatch? Especially when you look at that defense that get after the quarterback, But the one thing I would caution everyone is like, should never doubt the Kansas City Chiefs. I mean, Eric, the enemy. And you know Andy Reid have done a great job in game plan, and I think all season long they've really been trying to move pieces around and I feared that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers may get a little over in front of themselves and start to try to maybe blitz and then pressure. But you gotta remember when you blitz and you send all that pressure. You've got a one on one matchup. You don't mean and that one on one matchup now leaves you with Tyree kill and whoever And I'm 100% of the time betting on on Tyree killed to win that match up. He's just too fast, too elusive. So all in all, I think that they're gonna be able to handle not having that. I mean, look, don't Don't get me wrong now not having your writing your left tackle. And of course, Let's not forget l d t. I mean As well. Who, you know, obviously, you know, decided to do you no good will over in Canada, You know they didn't have their guard guard all season long. So there's a lot of missing pieces up front for the Kansas City Chiefs right. Think they can, they can adapt. I always hesitate to to project too much with young players and say all this guy's definitely a Hall of fame for this guy's definitely a bust. Because situations can change. Circumstances can change and the future can change obviously in sports, but It's hard not to do that. With Patrick Mahomes. It's hard not to project a 10 12 15 year career that end with multiple championships in multiple M V. P s in a Hall of Fame bust. How far do you allow yourself to look at his trajectory and try to project out having played the game and knowing how quickly things can change? Yeah, I think greatness is measured over time. It's measured when you've seen you've got enough data to be able to say, Hey, you know what, all of these different circumstances under all of these different measures, and I think On the other side. We're seeing this with Tom Brady now. Let me explain what I'm saying. We're so long. It's been that Tom Brady was on Leah's good as the coaches around him. Well, I think we've seen that He didn't need to be a part of the system or systematic quarterback to be good. He's come to a completely new team in a very new age at an older age with different players, and he got right back to Tom Brady. Stop. I mean, now that erases everything going back to Patrick, my homes. I know he's done it back to back made to sort of back to back. It's been amazing. He has some spectacular plays, but I think we all need to pump the brakes when we call him the greatest and future Hall of Famer. What happens if Eric the enemy goes to another team? Maybe he goes off and you know his head coach somewhere else. One of Andy Reid decides to retire, Right? And now all of a sudden, he has a different system. He has to death Kenya depth. We've seen this many times of poor. I'm just thinking randomly about Old school. He's now old school, Aaron Kampman. He went from the Green Bay Packers to having 17 sacks in one season moves over to a different team. And now sudden He doesn't have the same type of production why they moved his position and new coordinators. All these things can really project are change the projection of a player and his ability to produce, so I'm always a big fan of seeing how players adapt with multiple coaches. Tom Brady has done that with different coordinators. Akbar Bhai should be a Miller joins us this morning here on the show. Danny Amendola had something interesting to say yesterday guy that won two rings in New England and said the Patriot Way is Tom Brady. The Patriot Way is not the coaches. It's Tom Brady. Did you take that agreed. I agree. And I think for a long time, we just didn't know because it was such. They're always closing him out. No one ever said anything. And they were also like robots. You know, you didn't see the personality is get the secret sauce. And I think what we find out now is that the secret sauce has always been Tom Brady. You know, we thought Oh, and this is not to say Bill Belichick is not a genius and Bill Bill, check it out. The greatest head coach of all time because he assembled a team he usually did Maura with less, which is great. I look at Tom Brady. He did the same thing. He did more with less. Now he's doing more with more because he's got the big receivers in the big time receivers. And he's got a great defense, right? Don't I look at this and I go, you know for me, Tom Brady was always the secret sauce the Patriot way. Exactly. I agree with Danny Amendola because you can see immediately after he left. We saw the impact and what he did to the Patriots. Well, you played for three teams, The Raiders, the Dolphins, the Chargers tell us what the reputation within the league was of The Patriots of People believe that hey, played there were played against them. The Patriots organization was really smart and really ahead of the game, or did they believe? Yeah, they're just winning all this because Tom Brady's Tom Brady No, I've never got that I never. That's funny that you say that because I've come across different players. I've had different coaches Rob Ryan, who spent some time with the Patriots, He ended up being my coach and with writers And I think it's a part of selling them a speak right. Um Telling this, You know this brand, right? Even when you leave your still you've been brainwashed. So hung inside of the program inside of the Matrix that when you get out, you just start saying some of the same stuff. Everyone. No one wants to tamper with the Polish New England Patriots, and this doesn't take away from what the painters to be able to do like winning on them. Super Bowls like that's for real. The Patriots did that They did it with Tom Brady. So I'm not going to just you know, Pooh pooh the pages because that's not what this is. I'm just saying that Tom Brady was a huge I mean, he was in the middle of all of that Ahkbar Bajor be. Miller joins us this morning on the show. You had a really solid football career. "Able to get the volunteers playmaker's hands and he very well could come out of this thing with a W n the M V P trophy. Here comes the number one. We're gonna split this. It was to split for the defense of front for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and coach top Bulls. You gotta get at patch Mahomes, much like you have to get it, Tom Brady. But you gotta make sure that you're getting things done like he did against Aaron Rodgers. Jpp Shack. Beer. All of the defense of front. The linebackers. They've gotta go in harass patch from home. Don't just hover around him. Make him pay. When you get an opportunity to now, I know What That sounds like. It sounds easier said than done. But in this case in this situation if you take care of business up front, your secondary can hold up against the Tyree Kills of the world. And if not, then you potentially could get run out of building much like you did in the regular season. Jpp knows a little something about Russian Tom Brady in the Super Bowl. Keyshawn jails even presented by progressive insurance, J. What do you make of keys? Seven spots? Eight guys, Those guys a question Key. Who do you give the coaching edge to do you give it to Bruce areas or do you give it to And to read Probably gonna lead toward Andy Reid in this situation because he's been there done it. And from the sounds of things, it's more Tom Brady coaching teams. Nowadays it is Bruce areas I've just said All I'm saying is gonna help yourself. Danny Amendola said it It's all about time. I'm just Stating the facts, that's all Then Danny said. Everybody's talking about what this means for Brady. What this would mean for Mahomes. That's our poll question. We're gonna get to it at the top of the hour, but But let's be honest with the amount of people just dumping on Bruce Arians because, you know, he's a guy that's always spoken his mind when he was TV analyst for CBS. He wasn't very long. They called him. Uncle Bruce. Could you come out? Come out there and say some crazy things. But at the end of the day, this would be all unbelievable validation for him. There's a lot on the line for him here, too, and he got the Super Bowl Tom and Patrick's Bonified. They're there. But for Bruce areas, this is absolutely gigantic on the way. Brady is an old guy in the homes of the young guy. More impressive your calls next. Hey, Good.

Jason Pierre Paul is going to have an absolutely monster effort on Sunday, and it's going to lead to a bucket Ears championship. And J. P P. And the rest of this emboldened Buccaneers team that keeps getting more and more belief in itself with every week and every victory is going to look back and say, And we will look back and say the injuries on the Chiefs offensive line was another reason. That this was the bucket here season that this was just a buck's magic carpet. Ride it. I am leaning that way to picking the bucks this season. We're in this game rather because it has felt like this year. Things have just continually broken their way or opened up or they just had a change in their dynamic. And this is another one where the injury Eric Fisher. One of best offensive line on the Chiefs. Offensive linemen of the chief's happened to the A F C title game on a season where they've already lost two other players on the offensive line. Two other starters of the offensive line. Leaving the chief's very vulnerable to a very good pass rush for the Buccaneers. And now to take over. Eric Fisher's place in the line is gonna be Mike Rammer. She's gonna move up from the right side. The left side Well, J P. P was asked about this and says I've never heard of him. I don't even know who my grammars is, and it doesn't really matter. This is the freaking Super Bowl. I don't care who they throw at me. Send me three sent me. Two or three people to block me. I'm just doing what I doing. That's a you problem. You figure it out. I'm coming to play football game. And had some trash talk about how it just doesn't matter what the Chiefs do. He's just gonna come and destroy things and it's either going to go that way. Where we go. Wow. You know what? Is everything broke the The way of the bucket ears. You know that pass interference at the end of the NFC championship game and true breezes armed, basically disintegrating in the divisional round and the NFC East winner being a garbage winner at seven and nine. And then the Super Bowl. It just so happened that this was the season The chief's lost three starters of the offensive line. It just might be that type of thing or the flipside is J P p is gonna get embarrassed or the flip side is that J p p is gonna be completely silenced by backups and no names. And we're gonna be laughing in his face on Sunday, right? That's kind of the only two ways this king go. There is no way that J P P has like a sack and a half in a chief's win. That just will not be the way that this will Either. He's gonna have a sack and a half and a forced fumble. And the Buccaneers defense will be lauded as one of the big reasons that they've got the Vince Lombardi Trophy or Jpp will be held without a tackle and a no name. Unsung bunch of backups totally silenced that pass rush. That's the only two ways of this thing. Can go when we come back here on the show, Danny Amendola..

But when you were talking about the best coaches in the sport when Urban Meyer was still coaching before he retired in air quotes because you know, he was never done with that. The guy that was always after Nick Saban was urban Meyer. That was the conversation because of the longevity. The success. Multiple stops that Nick Saban and you know what I should be Urban Meyer had That was always where people compared each other. Who's the better coach? Saving her is admire. Personally, I think it's saving. But if you are in the camp of Urban Meyer, you may be able to look at this. If this move does end up resulting in a Super Bowl or ends up, resulting in a success. That is something that urban Meyer could put a little feather in his cap. What you get in this game of Pettiness and splitting hairs. People could look at her. But it was not that long ago that the Jaguars were actually a good team, and some thought the Jag was gonna be a good team for a long time. What was their problem? What was their demise? Get a very strong defense. And unfortunately even though you had some pieces on offense, you're QB was so bad. It ended up destroying what that run could have been. It's kind of very similar. To the Bears. And I've made this comparison before and you saw that play out this year, The Bears had a good defense Bears had a really good defense. The defense wasn't put in a good enough position, though, because of the problems and just how anemic that offenses Led by mixture Boesky or Nick Foles and someone that is not an offensive genius in that Maggie and the guy that was putting all the players on the field. And Ryan Pace, So that was a as you know my thoughts on the Bears. That is a disaster situation. And kind of I see similarities were with Jacksonville in the Bears, where it would not surprise me in a few years, and I think you already know that there's a lot of bears players that are clearly livid. With how they're producing on defense. But the offense isn't producing. It would not surprise me in a year or two are now actually expected where a lot of those bears defense suppliers are gonna want out because their efforts and their good defense supply is being wasted. But let me just get back to urban Let me get back to that Jacksonville situation. It is not a putrid situation as it's being painted. You have a lot of money to spend. I don't know how much clout urban will have in free agents wanting to go play for Urban Meyer that is UN unknown. But anyone that he coached in college, he may be interested. You know, they may be interested in going and reuniting with her been depending on where the relationship is and just cause you coach someone in college. And you had success doesn't mean that they like you like I always go back at Stanford, Richard Sherman and Jim Harbaugh. They had a lot of success together at Stanford, and Sherman was originally wide receiver then flipped over the cornerback, and they had a bunch of back and forth and look at that played out in the NFL stage when Jim Harbaugh was with the 40 Niners. And Richard term should be. I am Richard Sherman's with Seattle Seahawks. Now you look at Richard Sherman. He's on the 40 Niners. That's why there was a little hesitation there. But that was like an ugly picture and an ugly situation If you even remember that one game Where every remembers that. Don't try this Sorry ass wide receiver on me like Crabtree, the undersea championship game where Sherman makes a stop. But there's another game when Sherman was running off the field, always chasing after Harbaugh and chairman like Slapped a hardball on the on the butt and Harvard turned around. He's like, Who the heck just hit me. So you had a fun for you there, so just cause you coach someone in college doesn't mean because how much someone could be a drill Sergeant and that perception in college and now it's my way or the highway in college. Where in the NFL, you gotta realize You're dealing with grown men. You can't have that. I don't know if dictator type approach works, but that really authoritative approach were. Yeah. You're the coach. Yeah. You got the power, But you gotta know how to communicate Just cause you coach. Someone in college doesn't necessarily mean and there will be a high state guys. They're going to go join, join our urban, But it doesn't mean that everyone's gonna like you and everyone wants to then go join that party. So, yes, they have a lot of money to spend in free agency. When I just look at that roster, though. Right now you got a few defensive pieces that you could work with. But more so on the offensive side of the ball. Yes. I think you need another wide receiver. I think you need a number one because DJ Shark is kind of like that 1.5, you know, Wide receiver. Sometimes he looks like you could be a one. Another time. She looks like he could be a two. We don't really know, though, what he is because of and I'm not gonna hold this year against him because of who was throwing the football. Gardner Menchu and also Mike Glennon, at times like Yikes, Ugly. But you do have some things to work with What they love. Escutia know you had a nice rookie season. DJ Shark has been in league for a little bit. And James Robinson, who was an absolute stud this year and came out of nowhere. Remember, they got rid of four net and Rockwell Armstead, actually from Temple was supposed to be their starting back. And he was never able to get on the field this year because he was in the hospital. I think two or three times because the cove it But unfortunately you know from that, and that's an unfortunate situation. It's all Robinson get on the field and you have some pieces to work with, as you are about to welcome in someone that is supposed to change your franchise. At the quarterback position, and Trevor Laurence, who is the most high prospect. Since Andrew luck a bunch of years ago. So that Jacksonville situation I think it has potential will have to wait and see what urban Meyer does from college to the pros. But I think it's a good move for urban And obviously the college jobs weren't coming. His wife Texas did whatever the reasons where he rejected that he didn't think it was a fit. He wanted to go to USC. The USC president said No, and you were looking at the field for Urban Meyer. Notre Dame's on opening up anytime soon, and if he wasn't taken Texas And if Auburn wasn't able to bring him in, and if you don't want to go to Auburn, what was going to be the job in the next few years? That was going to be attractive to urban Meyer. So for him, I like this move going to the NFL. I think it's a fun story line..

Patriots To Adjust Tom Brady's Contract; Add $5M In Incentives
"Years and speaking of Jimmy Garoppolo who is now the second highest paid quarterback in football behind Kirk, cousins Tom Brady's got a new. Contract some additions on. There it's a five million dollars in incentives to go on with that fourteen million dollar based. Salary why the hell do you have to give Tom Brady incentives as this is stuff that drives me nuts about football. Visible that's. Awesome with the, cap you can Manipulated by doing by, putting. An incentives like this is ridiculous I'm, sorry I mean you've, got to figure out a way to not do this this, guy has been here almost twenty years I think. You kind of know what he's done and what he's going to continue to, do what I know but died yesterday floated the story that in practice it was shaking his arm that maybe he's not quite right hasn't looked great in training camp and maybe. By not, appearing at the voluntary OTA's it's catching up to him and practice has been kind of disjointed right two days off a day on Brady gets his birthday off so they're not up. To the, speed that they normally are but. This guy you have to give him. Incentives you're looking at like it's a slap in the face to Brady were really it's a way to manipulate the cap is not a slap, in the face of this is. A way to manipulate. The castle is so is the incentives you don't have to I I this is why I. Also think that you should almost take the quarterback salaries out of the salary cap because they're going to make so much. Money and. You have to, pay quarterbacks Get the best quarterback the Brady white sign it because I'm sure it's fine I'm just looking at it to someone that admires the guy when I. See incentives, for player like that I'm like that's what's wrong with football okay but it's a way to manipulate that's all it is yes I've heard that a couple times already you're trying to Federal case again into making a federal case because here's a guy again I remember, remember when Joe. Torre left the New York Yankees they said okay we're going to we're going to give you. A contract but we're. Going to, have some incentives in there you'll make a half a million dollars. If you win the American League east you'll, make. Another half a million if you. Win the American League and he's. Pretty, much said, damn, all, set, I've, earned, my right that. I don't need to have incentives incentives for people that aren't motivated this guy is, motivated God forbid the, patriots do something that's smart for the rest of the. Team they after just all bowed out Tom Brady whatever Tom Brady them for seventeen years Basim bow down. To them, recently well it's no no. No. No no no that's not true. You know this job. Because, of their west Welker contract and he's. Taken pay cuts Yeah so they should do, its best to the teams Except for Tom Brady and not give him things that help the cap and just give him the guaranteed money and then tied. To the cat because they realize what they should. Do they. Didn't keep his one of his favorite receivers Danny amendola he's. Bringing in, wide receivers that looked like they were. Retired I mean Eric decker looked like, he? Was retired he was hanging out with his wife right and now he's coming back and they're going to try. To see if he can make something out of himself teams that screw, themselves over are the teams that do whatever the hell the players all the, time and give them all the money that. They. Want and that don't care about is not true The Vikings done that and giving Kirk. Cousins biking's aren't aren't gonna win a championship
