"Who really do like the grass The fair what i would say is good. Looks good in limited sample size. If someone's good on grass courts it's just gonna look good and felix his game. Frigging works on grass courts. I you gave you could tell the first year. He played grass court events but he made a final and this year he backed all of those results out. Seats passes for faa for fa. You know it's going to work for felix when it works. It works and his works for someone who doesn't work. You need the repetitions. you need to take your lumps. And so. I think it's more valuable for medvedev to take lumps on clay than it is for you know. Fa to continue to be good on grass courts. It's like we. I just think this was a good season for him and then to have that final result at the french open. I think that bodes well for surface versatility. Nevertheless this is not. Us open related. There's the tangent we were looking for of course again in the final four four and four worked and you'll medvedev able to get over the finish line. You look at the final numbers for him again. Thirty winter against thirty one unforced errors ones eighty percent of his first-serve points. Sixteen aces against nine. Double-faults a fifty eight percent win percentage During this his second serve points you look for novak djokovic wins eighty percent of his first-serve points and makes only fifty four percent of those first serves twenty seven winners. Against thirty eight unforced airs. Forty percent win percentage on seconds or points. Thirty one of forty seven at the net. I guess this would be my final thing from the match. And you sort of alluded to it in. I wanted to put a pin in the thoughts. I'm glad we're getting back to it. Man danilo medvedev's to shop passing shots. I know joke which was thirty. One of forty seven at the net according to the statistics my eyes tell me otherwise. Every time to kneel medvedev needed to dip a service return at the feet. Or i passing shot it. It just felt like he found the low backhand volley of novak djokovic every time and increasingly as the match went on. That was the case. 'cause jovic was actually eight for nine at the net in the first set From there the efficiency fell off a cliff and actually the frequency went up so it was a weird thing. We're joke which was going to now or and more and it was working less and less and Part of it was. He was getting in tight enough because he wasn't closing that then the other part of that was meant says. Oh you're only getting the service line where well that's where my balls can bounce so it was. It was completely a dynamic that worked in favour medvedev and.

Hawks Erase 26-Point Deficit to Beat Sixers in Game 5

"Semi finals. This sixes and hawks pivotal Game five. Philadelphia is where we go here. They were high Steppin monster mashing. 26 point lead at home. 26 point lead at home. And then it vanished into thin air. It went away. Where did it go? Why didn't they win? They had all the momentum. I keep hearing momentum's all that they had a whole uncle Mo on their side. They had this big lead Uncle Mo in Brooklyn. They had the big lead, and they gave it all the way. Presto! Oh, Abracadabra, said Trae Young 39 points, but it was other guys. It was Mo Chicken Chicken Wing Williams there The honey Pepper Chicken wings. They're knocking down a bunch of big shots. Danilo Gallinari made some plays as well for the Atlanta Hawks. They stormed back all the way back from 26 point down and they beat the Sixers. They beat the Sixers. They took their lunch money 19216. And so it is Atlanta's NBA team, the Hawks who have a 3 to 2 in the Eastern Conference semis, They are now one win away from punching their ticket to the coverage files. And finally, things are lining up for Nate McMillan, the much maligned Nate McMillan. The coach in Atlanta. You look around. You know. Nate McMillan great regular season coach seems over achieved in the playoffs didn't work out well, finally met his equal in a doc Rivers here in the second round. He did beat the Knicks, but that was the next just happy to be in the playoffs. That kind of thing. But my goodness. One win away from punching their ticket. The Atlanta Hawks One man band with Trey Young and they are a win away and all those people that if if Atlanta finishes this, and it's still Points. You still see a scenario? They don't but it with Doc Rivers? Oh, my God. How do you not if you're Atlanta win this thing in in six games, but The Hawks comeback was historic. It's one of the top three comebacks in NBA postseason history.

Atlanta Hawks reportedly agree to contract with Danilo Gallinari

"Well when you look at the hawks signing danilo gallinari who at some point people thought was going to be. The biggest name moved as a free agent for three years in sixty one point. Five million dollars twenty million dollars a year for a guy who's thirty plus now. It looks like a lot on paper. I guess because gallinari has been around for a long time. And you know. Technically past his brian. But he's a very very solid guy. And i likened it to paul millsap being signed by the nuggets a few years ago getting a vet while you have lots and lots and lots of capitalism and crippling yourself too long in the future. I think it'll be totally fine on their books trash. Thanks very good at that with the hawks. Oh three years twenty her effort danilo gallinari. Who is a maker and will make shots when trae young gives him the ball. I think it just fits on the court really really well. They needed a guy who he could. Just pass it to now. It's will you talk about. The wolves really really crowded backward. The hawks frontcourt is now crowded. Gone are is afford these days. He's not playing the three. John collins also four Anita they just draft five. They have clean cappella the five. That's a lot of bodies for sure. But i think just like the wolves. Everybody's on the table you know. They have contracts at every range. I think that's sort of why the wolves beasley to that number. They've got contracts that they can throw in as an asset as a dollar value. Whenever and so. The hawks are ready to deal. I don't think gallinari. Like paul millsap in denver is a part of the championship. Ross envisioned years down the road but when you got money and you got a guy who can make shots I think it just it makes sense again. Not crippling your your Your number in the future

There you go. Danilo fits the roster better by the way the power to play sports poll question if you just joined us who rather have drew holiday Victor Oladipo or Danila Gallon art now again, you're GONNA have to lose somebody to get the first to mention guys Danilo would be a free agent but you still have you might have to cut cut some bate anywhere anyway to make sense of the contract Pill. Dan says, Danila fits the roster better I prefer the Morris Murray Combo, either of the other two interests and see I like Monty Morris a lot. He's an underrated guard. and. That to be honest with you is. Is. My main reason for kind of hesitating before I throw. Gary Harris. Out. To, get a drew holiday before I throw Gary Harris. Will Barton probably a draft pick or Monte Morris because I do like Monty Morris? but I I think I need to I need to have him take another step though he's a take another step. Danilo gives you veteran presence size rebounds and threes. Not sure they need another off the dribble playmaker. Hassi Gallo again gala was there when it started. He was there when it started after the mellow days and then he was kind of their right when joker got in. And and moved on, but still put together some great years in fact he's. Change in Dominican Republic as opposition wins presidency

"Let's go to the Dominican Republic now where the victory by the opposition part in this weekend's elections has marked the end of sixteen years of rule by the Dominican Liberation Party. The P. L. D.. The newly elected president Louis Shabina dare managed to capture fifty two point fifty three percent of the vote, well earlier I was joined on the line from the Dominican Republic's. Republic's capital not Sunday Domingo by bridget wooding, who's the director of the think tank, Obi m I, see a or center for immigration, observation and social, development in the Caribbean bridget started by giving us a bit of context and explaining just how significant the results are very significant, because we're talking about change after sixteen years of ruling party and we're talking. Talking about an almost exact reversal of what happened in the elections for years ago when the President Danilo Medina got in with sixty one percent of the vote against thirty four percent of our be now there, and as you mentioned now I've been there has with the fifty percent needed and Danilov menace stouffer. His candidate from the ruling party got only thirty four percent. percent or so of the vote, so if we're looking at something, which is which is very significant, all the way along President Medina had sought to transfer his popularity to his chosen candidate on solid casteel, but in fact council steel was probably the weakest candidates that he had because unsubtle casteel was involved with public works, which has been notorious for different corruption scandals. But then the President Danilo Medina thought that with Kobe nineteen. He would have things in his favor. There would be a kind of swath vote for the way. He was dating with things, but that was not to be because. Since January two, thousand, seventeen, this being the Green March movement against corruption, and the fact that disparities between rich and poor had been rolling, and there were a number of journalists who actually lost their jobs trying to denounce this, so this became a big issue, the government, totally of note, the evidence and the president. Medina also took further actions to control the judiciary, but what also happened was that the former president Leonel Fernandez split from the ruling party, and that divided what had been a pretty Monolithic party up over the last sixteen years, and he did it by suggesting that certain casteel the nominee President Medina had been put in by false means. But there was a thought that were things to go to a second round up. The ex-president learn finance might have gone in with with consol. But what was the most decisive thing that happened this year was that on the sixteen to February nineteen elections, there was a glitch and e-voting could not take place, and so, what happened then was that the elections were. Left right and center, but this was corruption. And especially, the millennials who had begun to take to the streets along with other you know in many Latin, American capitals so in recent months, really caught a bit between their teeth and the middle class, which had kept the ruling party in power for sixteen years, suddenly began to feel that they've been robbed up the wrong way. The things were things were unraveling now. The government you know is the country's largest employer, but even those that it was keeping in their pay when along a satisfied. Feeling change had to happen, and that was the ticket on which the new president has got in and posted to surprise then I mean it was clear that the tide was turning, but did you ever think that actually he would overturn the sixteen years of Monolithic rule I think all the more recent polls have shown that he's definitely in the lead. I think what was worrying. was that at the last minute that Kobe number? would be used as a cover to dissuade more middle class voters perhaps from going to vote, and also the usual tactics of paying people to vote or giving people handouts prior to elections this time it didn't work with the with the exception perhaps of the government in some of the poorest province near the border, but it didn't work the because people were determined the change and I think this is. Of what's happening in a number of Latin America where people do feel the need for change, and corruption is a big issue, and people feel that it should be tackled also covid nineteen demonstrated again the dispatch between rich and poor because those people who. Are Not documented migrants people have been nationalized. He had don't have access to government programs, and this doesn't look good in the face of the sustainable development goals. It doesn't look good in the face of the international community, so something was going to break I think, but nevertheless I think. People woke up. Fight surprised that it had happened so smoothly and things didn't go to a second round. This Sunday. Do you think that people would just then voting against the status quo, or was there something specific that abner was offering? What made his campaign so successful? I think he was really offering to clean things up, and so if you the bar next to my house today after elections happen, it was saying the whites have gone got in his Richmond from the cradle. They don't need to rob. So, there was the sense that. That These were people who have. had a different kind of agenda, and all walks of life seeing that. that there have been just too much of a monolithic hold on every aspect of society and under change was necessary, but I think the corruption thing was important, and then the fact that normally elections happen on the no glitches, but this glitch that happened in February with the elections and the feeling that there was something going on under. Probably the think was more likely with the incumbent party. I think those were the two decisive things that make people think. Yeah, we do need a change and finally bridget. What can we expect from his presidency? What will apart obviously from corruption be the main issues on the agenda? Well, obviously we have a big health crisis on our hands, and as you can see the Dominican probably is one of the worst countries in the insular. Caribbean and the election mobilization hasn't held so I think we're going to have to go back to the state of a state of emergency. The new governor will also be slightly tied in terms of how far it can go in more imaginative on policy, more imaginative domestic policy because it did do a deal in this S- i Brown with some of the more ultra nationalist sectors of society, and so they're going to have to reckon with that. I think trying to was cleaning up corruption, trying to create more jobs and trying to ensure the disparities between rich and poor are not sensu it'd such that in this pandemic. All can be served healthwise and in future crisis, people are not going to be discriminated one way or another. And that was bridget. Lots of background birdsong on the line from Santa Domingo.

President Trump President Medina Bridget Wooding Dominican Republic Dominican Liberation Party Kobe Domingo Caribbean Santa Domingo P. L. D Casteel Louis Shabina Leonel Fernandez Danilov Abner Latin America Director Richmond

"Generation dot com. We are back with Danilo Papageorgiou and we're talking about life schooling and how to integrate that into our home schooling and so we were talking about God giving gifts and how how we can have the opportunity as home schoolers life scores to be able to to take notice of those things in our kids how I would love to know. Just how practically you have done that with your children. How have you recognized and discovered those gifts in them? And then how have you gone about? Fostering those gifts in in them in order for them to be able to use those God's glory will you know it's a funny thing because a lot of MOMS will say that to me like how do I find my kids gifts or I don't know what they are. They don't seem to have any gifts or they just WanNa play computer games all day. Long and You know I really believe that first of all this might be a bit of a tangent but get rid of the computer games or at least cut them way back. You gotTa have limits on that because it really stifles their imagination and it really prevents them from from being creative and figuring out who is God created them to be but besides that you know. I think it's really a funny thing because they will just sort of come to the surface. There's no real magic formula as with anything in life really. There's there's no magic formula that okay step one. You do this. Step two and again. That's because it's a faith walk and a lawyer wants us to trust in him and so you just have to pay attention to your kids and one of the things that I recently created that that I really love I use it. Myself IS A who is this child journal and so every day I can write down the little things that I noticed the questions that you know right. Now it's core. He's my youngest smiled or to. You know they've got their path in their direction but Nic gifts in my youngest one already. But it's been really fun to write down the different questions to ask during the day or then there's another section for what I call sparks so anything that I that really kind of captures his attention. I'll just Just write that down and that this is something that maybe we need to explore a little mourn and so that's been a lot of fun in that the bottom. I just have a place where you can write a prayer so every day. Just kind of Right out this prayer of of You know just I don't know just whatever comes to your heart as a mom and and as you're watching your child develop and so it's just been a really fun resource for me to kind of learn more about my son because I think a lot of it does go back to simple observation at sometimes. We're just really were so caught up in the business of every day and and checking off the boxes and doing all the things that we have to get done as MOMS in homeschooling moms and wise and so we can just kind of forget to pay attention and so. I think it's important to be intentional. I know that's really popular word but you know sometimes we really do have to just try to be more intentional about that and it is amazing. I remember my friend Barbara I don't know maybe four or five years ago it was like I don't know what's going to happen with my kids. You know what direction nuts really leading them. Or how how? They're going to use these gas. What is GonNa do with them and I might Barbara? You know. It's amazing because the Lord will spring people into your path and he'll just open these doors that you never would have expected and then here we are and her son. Matthew just finished up a movie a short film that my kids were involved with by sons. Actually the lead in it and it was accepted to the Christian worldview film festival as contestant and so it's just so cool to see that and then have the Lord used her daughter's gift of sewing 'cause she was. I don't know you know how that's going to be used in. And so she sewed all the costumes for it. So it's just when we just again just in him and trust in the process and don't get so worried because really is it's not up to us. I think we carry that weight and it. So needless. Because we're not the home. Schoolteacher got it or just the dietrich resistant you know so. We need to just trust. That process entrusted him. Yeah because if we're doing our best to how is he going to be unfaithful to that? Yeah you know. He's a faithful God and all he asks for is our best in. It's usually very imperfect I will be the first to tell I end the world's worst at scheduling. And you know I just. It's always been a struggle for me and so but the Lord still works through that somehow you know and so it's it always amazes me to see that. Yeah I love that and I love that you do talk about being intentional and like you said you know. That's a word that we kind of toss. It really is an issue being intentional with our kids and also being flexible in that fitting into our idea of what we think that they should be or how we think they should act or you know what career they want to pursue. Whatever that is. It's not up to us. It is what has gone. Call them to not exactly you want them to do and and so I think it's one of the great blessings of being a homeschool parent is that we get. We know our kids better than anyone else knows them. There are teachers all over the world. Who genuinely in love their students? They really do they they. Most of them don't teach because they make China Money. They teach because they love kids and they want to have some kind of influence in their lives. Unfortunately many of them have really terrible influence but there are generally loved the kids. But when you've got a classroom full of twenty thirty forty kids you cannot individually take each one of those children under your wing and nurture their talents in their abilities and their gifts that God has blessed them with and help them develop those things and homeschool parents in his life schooling parents. We have such a great opportunity to do that. And it's not easy. It's not easy sometimes. It's incredibly inconvenient. You know when my daughter wants to Take out the glue gun and cardboard and founded paints and make you know. I'm like I'm like okay. What what are you? What are you going to do here? And she something amazing and beautiful. You know she. She's my oldest is very artistic and she loves to paint. She loves to draw but she also likes to create things and so she got these boxes for Christmas and she made for her little sister as a Christmas gift. She made these little kind of. It's hard explain. But she made doll houses out of them but they open she and so they can travel with them in a it was so cool and it was just such a special gift that she gave it her sister and she worked for days and days in day. Week on these two portable dollhouses. And what a privilege and so she would go into her little craft area and she would listen to an audio book and she would make these creations and what a joy you know. How Fun was for her to be able to do that. So.

"The Memphis. Grizzlies have been a pleasant surprise this year but they don't make sense either. They don't have anybody who makes as much as Stephen or Dil who they'd be willing to try. The Houston. Rockets are interested in everybody all the time but Oklahoma City's made a trade with them recently. So I'm GonNa Cross them off the list as well. The Dallas Mavericks our team to watch now doubtless doesn't exactly have the assets to pull off a trade that maybe the thunder fan base would be excited about but are fused across them off entirely because Danilo would be a great match next kristaps the Utah Jazz or standing pat. They don't have any players. They're willing to trade. That could match. The salaries did allow Nari or Stephen Adams Denver Nuggets. Will they already have a center? They've already made a chair with Oklahoma City recently and they have too many good players as there are no Los Angeles Clippers. Also little intriguing Danilo Gallinari but since he played their last season. I'M GONNA go ahead and write them off as a nose well. The Los Angeles Lakers don't have enough salaries to match either one. So they're off the list. The Atlanta Hawks obviously have had an interest in steam ams all season now. Truthfully I don't see what the framework of that trade looks like were Oklahoma City would say yes in Atlanta would feel comfortable with that. They gave up the Cleveland Cavaliers. No New York Knicks no the Charlotte Hornets. No The Washington Wizards no the Detroit Pistons. Now the Chicago Bulls. Here's what I will say is the Bulls are awkwardly trying to win now with a horrible team. Trust me I watch. Every game the Bulls have their center of the future and window. Carter Stephen Adams is off the list but Danilo Gallinari is interesting not necessarily from a could play for the Chicago Bulls standpoint what she absolutely could but Chicago signed thaddeus young to a long term deal this summer and rumor is they want to get out from underneath that contract with the bowl swap. Did Ilagan Narayan Thaddeus. Young and Senate asset-backed Oklahoma City possibly so they're on the list the Brooklyn Nets. They need help. It's clear well at least Kyrie irving things so but they don't make sense either to me the Orlando Magic. I'M GONNA put them on the list because they are complete wildcard. It's hard to differentiate what their actual plan is now. They just signed Nikolov. Lusa vitual long-term contracts with Stephen Adams is not a target of theirs but Danilo Gallinari might make sense because the only like playing power forwards Philadelphia Seventy sixers. They would love to have either one of these players but it's hard to imagine a way. Philadelphia could get acquire either one without First Trading Josh. Richardson which the sixers have said. Time and again just isn't possible so there are no the Indiana Pacers. Actually an interesting team Danilo Gallinari. Not Stephen Adams did know next to demonise. Bonus is actually an intriguing lineup. Now would they be willing to give up miles turner for it? I don't think so I'll put them on is a possibility but they also feel like a long shot. The Boston Celtics have been looking for a center all season. Now to get Stephen Adams they likely would have to trade someone of significant value to them. And I'm GonNa Assume Gordon Hayward is off the table so the other names on that list Marcus Smart. That doesn't feel right so while they are at a position of need I'll put them on the list because they might get creative with a thirteen. That also feels like a long shot the Toronto Raptors. No the Miami Heat are also a team that would make sense for Danilo Gallon but Miami season it's hard capped. Don't have any assets. They're willing to trade meaning tyler here. Obama bio or any draft picks because Oklahoma City. Own them already. So there are no the Milwaukee Bucks actually a little interesting as well for either player but more importantly for digital Gallinari Milwaukee's assurance. They're not gonNA try Eric. Bledsoe seems like a mistake to me but also eliminates them from these trade conversations so here it is the entire list of teams and I would tell you. Watch over the next week when it comes to delegate. Our Stephen Adams the Boston Celtics Indiana Pacers the New Orleans. Pelicans the Mavericks Hawks the and the magic all other teams aren't likely to pull off the deal. I've seen the rumors of Philadelphia. I get it. It's not going to happen. So there you go. There's your trade primer list heading into next week. Have you ever met someone who just thought they were an incredible liar? Well I usually was that person. I always thought that whenever it came down to it I could convince you something that wasn't entirely true and I was good at it or at least I thought I was. I could convince my mother of anything. My father visiting my friends of anything today on Thursday. Turn day we tell you about a book written by. Malcolm glad well. It's called talking. Strangers in. The premise of the book is looking at historical context of deceiving and deciphering lies. What I learned by reading this book in about three quarters of the way through is not that I'm agree liar. You're bad at telling me when I'm lying. Fifty four percent of people can't tell the difference between a liar and someone who tells the truth there are outliers but they are few few far between so if you're someone who prides themselves on lying. I'd recommend you read this book because first off you'll be a better liar second off you'll find out that your not a good liar. Your friends just are paying attention. This has been Thursday. "Alright let's get to the sport this morning on Oklahoma's first use hi Randy Renner will just like in several other games so far this season the thunder were old so close to getting a win last night this time against Paul George and the clippers Danilo Gallinari tied the game with a three pointer in the closing seconds but P. G. answered right back with one of his own the clippers ended up winning at ninety the eighty eight Chris Paul led the thunder with twenty two points yeah ten of eleven free throws Gallinari have fourteen but was just to parade on threes and three for thirteen overall thunder helpfull George just eighteen point that's about half what he's average his first two games back from shoulder surgeries although the city shot thirty seven percent overall but held the clippers to just forty percent the big difference montrezl Harrell scored twenty eight points off the clipper bench fourteen of those in the fourth quarter you also had twelve rebounds understate in LA the play the Lakers tonight at nine thirty you can see it on foxsports Oklahoma then the Lakers will be here on Friday night so a pretty tough three game stretch for a woman city the Oklahoma Sooners football team hoping to capitalize on their incredible come from way behind win over Baylor we develop some some toughness think of come together and maybe a little bit different way as a team over the over the last several weeks and I mean it it it it sets the stage to to go play well here at them but but we still have to go do it and this Saturday the lab to do it against you see you agian with one of the better defenses in the big twelve and so Riley knows you will have to be much better from start to finish against the frogs than they were against Baylor the momentum of winning the game like that is great but it's not gonna be enough to be to see you I mean you gotta you gotta go you gotta go put it action the mentality of the team that's you want that to continue to grow within and then some of the things that we didn't do well that causes to be a hole in the first place we're certainly going to have to do better so that's exciting but we got to go we got to go do something with it the servers and Jeez you kick off at seven Saturday night in Norman you can see that game on fox the O. U. cowboys with the early call again on Saturday this time on the road and West Virginia my god he says quarterback Spencer Sanders practiced on Sunday night with a brace or his throwing hand Sanders at least right now is expected to play against the mountaineers and Gundy says Sanders has gotten steadily better this season he's been successful at that what I'm hurt him in our team in the middle for the year was football ground and we worked hard on it he's starting to settle in in its position as plain as a better feel and his ability to make decisions and then make adjustments on the sideline is getting better each week writing about your barber gaining some momentum and Heisman Trophy talk at least that he would be included in the group of players invited to New York one thing that might help is getting more involved in the passing game and get the agrees that all happened but he explained his reasons for not throwing much the Hubbard this season yeah we should tell the ball more time I don't know what is yours for catches was pretty good that's a different way for running back to approach the game you're looking this way getting the ball you take kids different things so I'm a little concerned about that that's why we don't though the ball to him as much as we should that may change your toward the end of the season cowboys amount nears kick off eleven Saturday morning on.

"Clip set clip set clips sells like that. James? Oracle with a chance to close out the series. The warriors win down to the mighty clips that it was a great game. Lou Williams, mantras Herro gala Nari got some buckets, Jalen rose. I really thought the words we close this series last night. They did not what did you think about this performance the clippers? I thought they were going to close out this series as well. And I wanna make sure I give proper credit words do when I looked at this rock construction. The first thing I said of Jerry, West did a great job of tainting seasoned savvy, vets that know, exactly who they are whether they're in a locker room on the airplane on the bus when they get in uniform. They're gonna show up on the court and do exactly what's kept him in the league for really longtime. Doc Rivers continues to prove he's a top level coach. He's already won a championship. Danilo Gallinari injury-plagued. Denver chance plagued everywhere. No doubt about it. He had twenty six big points. Okay. What about Patrick Beverley, and it proved three point shooter as five? Yeah. Okay. That ain't why he got in the league, and they left them open for those. Okay. Any not only has seventy points, fourteen rebounds. Okay. So they played with a level of too nasty. That's refreshing for me as a fan to watch. And then you go skill. Where's louisville? Okay. He's a professional score. You'll wanted about this game is the warriors didn't lose the game. The clippers won the the word play. That bet we'd take him into rain head Forty-five Steph curry had twenty four Klay Thompson had twenty two. The warriors didn't play that bad the clippers just played really well to be and also this is a classic of as a series gets longer and longer you develop different personalities within how you need to play to win that game explained. At home, the clippers could rely near young fellas. Shamet Alexander Robinson. They all have big games in the staple center. But when his Dur dial we going back to Golden State and trying to win the second game in a series versus the three-time champions in the last four years. It's all about the vets will. And when you watch Lou will play its version of what we see from Dame dollar don't underestimate it. And here's what I mean. Guy that when you give him the basketball, you'll your hips, unlike Dame, he shoot from thirty five feet. And so it looks a little different today's game. Why a guy on a perimeter score thirty points, not been Simmons only making one three. How does he do it? He got a handle. He could play an off phases. Him in mantras Herro. Doug Collins, always talks about this effort needs to be a statistic, in some way, shape or form explained..

"Mason and Ireland show, I'm John airland in for Mesa's. Andy cabinet ski. Somebody's somebody tweeted us. Hey, the clippers the cap space to do that. Yes, they do especially if they were to move Danilo Gallinari Danilo Gallinari is scheduled to make twenty two million next year if they were able to move off of that contract right now even with Gallo, they have fifty nine million in cap space. So it would just require those guys to take a bit of a haircut. But if you can manage to move gala Nari, yeah. Which wouldn't be that difficult because is coming off a good season. It's just one year left. Then like you said they have gobs of cap space. Right. And and, you know, creative cap people can all of a sudden move some people around, and yes, yes, they can't. I remember one of the one of the reasons why why the small owners were so against the Chris Paul Lakers. Trade was not only were the Lakers. Getting Chris Paul. They were saving twenty million in caps. Yes. So that's what scared every, but this is also why I mean, not to take it all the way back to Lakers. But why I I have been frustrated with a lot of their probe towards cap space because I think they end up there. So single minded and never wanting to dip into it at all I feel like they limit their lack of options through a lack of creativity like, for example, signing Julius Randle would have made sense this year because if you really needed to create that cap space, he would assuming he played the way he did last year and this year, he's easily movable and also you have then at that point the type of contract on your books that you often need in order to make a trade for say an Anthony Davis to so you can make sure all the salaries match, but they tend to just horde the space and not be creative and flexible about the way, they use it. Well, something's happened in this summer. I'll tell you that. I don't know what it is. But something's happened in this summer. All right. So earlier in the show we debated before we had Roger Cossack, and we talked about the Luke Walton case we debated whether or not in Mason. And I spend a lot of time on this normally. There is a shadow consultant. There is some type of a person that is out there that the Lakers are checking with before rob makes moves now ever since Magic Johnson step down people like Mason, and Sam amick, and others have suggested that this is a real person that this person exists that he is currently out there working for another team..

"Fish, my thoughts. I had before buzz Williams came on talking about use of Newark itch in that devastating injuries suffered last night. And I said that if you have not seen it, and you're watching CBS sports network right now, I'm not showing it to you. It's it's terrible. It's horrific. It's hard to see even when you know, it's coming. It's still hard to watch the audio was bad enough and those were on the floor on both sides were definitely. Definitely moved by what they saw affected by what they saw. And Kanter, quote, I'm going to go home and pray for him because this is way bigger than basketball, we clinched a playoff spot, and we're not even celebrating. He was a big part of our family, not our team our family, and I don't know what to say. The opposing coach nets coach Kenny Atkinson, quote, that's what our guys are talking about in the locker room not the game or the loss. You're talking about a player who was having a great game. And a heck of a player. See you just pray. It's not a long term thing. And he can palace back. It just takes the wind out of your sails, and quote, that's the opposing coach who said that. He said that they weren't even talking about the game. And that takes the wind out of your sails, and it wasn't just in the blazers and nets locker rooms. It was all over the NBA Dylan Danilo Gallinari, the clippers tweeted never never give up. My man Yousef Nurkic. I know it's hard but you'll come back to play. I'll wait for you. Donovan Mitchell quote, prayers up for Norwich. Victor Oladipo quote prayers up for which you will be back stronger than ever. So he was immediately taken to the hospital diagnosed with compound fractures to his left tibia and fibula. I mean, it is awful that is terrible. Like, I don't know if injuries like this are happening more and more than they did in the past or for just more aware of them. Now, then we weren't in the past. But it feels like in the past few years. There have been so many more injuries that are horrifying beyond words. It's always horrible to see something like that happened. But even worse when Newark was having a monster game inside of a monster season, thirty two points, sixteen boards, and he was coming into his own as a player. And now he's got deal with coming back from a riff injury. And no, I'm not really interested in hearing anything about how the blazers or cursed or the fact that it ruins a great season for the blazers. Because his Kanter said it's way bigger than basketball. It's way bigger than just at team network. Has a really long road back. But he's obviously got to help a lot of people pulling for him. And again, I don't know if that's just me, or if that's a fact, but just seems like there's more and more of those truly horrific injuries, and you can put out when right near a top of the list, you think of any horrible injury that you've seen. Especially in the NBA put that one right there. That's right up there with Paul George Gordon Hayward. Kevin ware Depp ad. So if you go looking for that understand what you're going to see something that bad. Right. In addition to Kelvin Sampson, which is coming up next Michael Abernathy, solely a matter of time before that guy showed up in a sports story. Right. Well, he did. And he had himself a day, and I'm gonna try and get to that Nike might be right in the middle of it gotten updated. Bob Kraft story for you too. And I wanna talk about Eric burns for a moment. Eric burns made it into the program yesterday via text. I'm so glad he did all of that still ahead and your phone calls, but first a conversation with Houston Cougars head coach Kelvin Sampson in Quebec to Conor McGregor is anybody anywhere who buys, but.

"That's dole these job. So if Danilo can play the part of good teammate by taking some of Lorenzo's attention off of racing while dole the is going about his business can act to distract someone who could potentially be one of Andrea and Dukan. Audis main rivals. Now, that's probably going a little bit deeper. Right. But it would be brilliant bit of mind games. That would be even more effective. If Pacheco can, you know, share few podiums get into a few press conferences with Lorenzo and take a couple of subtle jabs. They're just kind of, you know, stir the pod a little bit more. And of course, being friends with the master of head games in Valentino Rossi. I'm sure that Danilo can pick up at least a few subtle pointers to take into the media room with them. So we'll see how that all plays out. My guess is that we haven't heard the end of it for the off season. But once the year starts Lorenzo was gonna turn more of his attention to Honda, and unfortunately that means probably tomorrow Marquette as well. And then we'll really find out if there's going to be any fireworks to talk about let's chat about Valentino Rossi. Could he be in the dicara rally in twenty twenty twenty nineteen races going on right now and Nasser Al Attiya who was on the verge of his third overall victory in the car rally? Driving factory Toyota. It would be as I in the Toyota in addition to being a six time Olympian and bronze medalist in skeet shooting. Who knew I certainly didn't not typically watch a lot of the Olympics. But Nassar says that he's been talking with Valentino Rossi. And that the doctor is seriously interested in racing in the twenty twenty two car rally now, apparently he has the doctor's phone number. Even though Yamaha won't give it to me. No matter how many times I ask which is about once a week buddy says that Valentino has asked him some serious questions about it and really is considering competing in the car rally, despite the fact that it happens on an entirely different continent, then to car is actually located on and even invited him to drive for his manufacturer until Yoda because when you've got to car wins and you're about to take a third title. You you pretty much have that kinda pull. Now, it might sound cheesy saying oh Valentino wants to go. Do this thing that is so unusual in different. But I think it's awesome. And. While I'm pretty certain he wouldn't win. I mean, this is not the type of racing where you just counted decide to show up and then and the walking away with the trophy any rally racing tends to be a lifelong labor of love to finally gained success, especially car, but I think that he could definitely compete without embarrassing himself. And I hope that he doesn't I really do because it would kind of be like a throwback to abide gone era when the best racers were not only capable but willing to take on any challenge. I mean, you think about guys like Mario Andretti or John Surtees and even Kenny Roberts. You know, those people wouldn't limit themselves to one type of discipline. Of course, back then it was just as much about making a living as anything now. Guys, get paid so much that there's really very little incentive to branch out into different series and different sports and their teams that are paying all that money. Don't want them the risk getting hurt. But I would love to see someone like Rossi do it. And with his repeated success at the Maharashtra show it wouldn't boil down simply publicity stunt. I mean, he really does have. Skill in that style of car, and based on the fact that LT is forty eight and still competitive and still on the verge of winning is proof that Rossi could actually dedicate himself to that kind of racing and find success if he really wanted to and it will bring more attention to the car to so good all the way around as far as I'm concerned. I don't know if I'll actually do it or not. But I kind of hope he does..

So common right now that some teams are taking advantage of it, even if they don't need to he said there are teams out there that already have a sponsor, and this is his exact quote, actually said, quote, even if teams have a budget, and by that he means, you know, already have the money to go racing. Even if the teams have the budget, they're still charging riders that need the pay they can because people will pay. But then you're not getting the best of the best end of quote now. Obviously the suggestion there is that he couldn't find a spot emoji P for two thousand nineteen because of this practice. I believe that now obviously not when it comes to apprecia- because Andrea known as in pay. Paying for that seat? Am reading lost it because of a lack of overall performance, but I'm pretty certain that the reason that he couldn't pick up one of the final remaining bikes in the garage is because he wasn't bringing a sponsor or he wasn't willing to put his own money on the table and the shocking part about this though is that he said, it's also the reason why he's not Emoto to this year, and he decided to go back to be SP because the only Motoo rides. He could find they were asking for them to pay money or to bring a sponsor his response quote on never ride for free because it's my job. And I definitely ain't gonna pay and in he went on to say and ain't gonna pay two hundred thousand or three hundred thousand to ride for a season or two seasons. It's ludicrous. It's insane. But there's someone that will come along. And do it. And I mean think about that for a second two to three hundred thousand assuming euros or pounds for Emoto to rive versus Nur to. Let's assume that that's for two seasons that if Scott reading have wanted to that he could have leased a spot on a Moto two team for the next two years for say three hundred thousand euros. Danilo Petrosky who is writing the factory do khadi this year when he was at pre MacIntosh eighteen made three hundred thousand euros. And there is a very very good chance that that's all he's making to be a factory do khadi rider in two thousand nineteen or very little more than that. So even Danilo Patricia who is on a factory do khadi. This year is a factory rider emoji p he would have had to have given up his entire salary from two thousand eighteen just for two seasons on what's very likely a mediocre motorbike. Now, if that's the case, and I don't see any reason why reading would be lying about this. I mean, he just went through this whole process. I'm assuming is probably pretty darn close to the real numbers. If that's the case writings, right? It is insane. And this is something we've talked about before on the show. We all know that paying for rods is something that happens on a regular. Basis racing in an ideal world, it wouldn't. I mean, everything would be based on performance or merit. But that's not how it works is it wrong. Yeah. Pretty much. I mean, I always think about it this way if we were talking about a top level professional baseball team or basketball team in the United States or football team. American international, your choice doesn't matter which and you're watching your favorite team.

NBA is Taking A Stance Against Mental Health Stigma

"Turn our attention back to Jackie McMullan's five part series or mental health in the NBA in the final foam ejaculates the future mental health and efforts league is making racist stigma associated with seeking help. One part is particular struck me guys when Jackie writes about how players will open a helping other players, but here's who won't be the former all-star, whose mental health struggles remain unchecked and untreated his agent frets about his client has begged him to get help. But the player declines saying he can't bring himself to see himself as a bone person agent explains because it doesn't match up with the invincibility of the player that he wants was I don't care who it is, but just in general, that feeling of generation of guys that still aren't opening Danilo Ellie. What do you? How do you have to this is an especially to have battled for all professional athletes because. There is this mythology we build around and we do look at them as invincible invincible, and it's people who don't have own abilities. And so a lot of times they're playing to a persona and they're afraid to seek help, which puts them in a particularly grueling kind of prison. And then if you add on top of that, if they're man of color, because in this -ociety especially being a black man in particular, there's no safe-space. There's no way you can be vulnerable without facing some level of scrutiny or attack. And so you add all those factors and it just is really heartbreaking to see. That's why I'm so glad that so many players are now openly voicing the fact that they struggle with certain things. People in this country feel like if you have money, if you have fame, you have everything figured out. And a lot of times those things bring on more problems and more trauma and more tragedy than most people can possibly fathom or deal with.
