"Halter, since January of 2019, and that was Turner also, who had 8 saves against Morocco. This game today is why for me he's the number one keeper, because a 100%. Because even back in qualifying JJ, even when the U.S. were getting results, it was one nils. You know, it was like games that were tight. This U.S. team, I think we know enough by now. If they go to the World Cup, if they show up there and they're winning games four one, we're all gonna be pretty surprised because that's not, that's not what we've seen. So it's hard for us to expect something different. So if they're gonna win games, it's gonna be tight draws, narrow victories, things like that. So with that being the case, I need to keep her who's gonna make 6 or 8 saves. Who will allow this game in the 80th minute to just be a one zero deficit as opposed to another keeper who's not as good of a shot stopper and the score is now two nil and there's no way back. So like just I know that there were a couple moments where him playing with his playing out from the back with his feet came under concern. I get it. It's not the strength in his game, but it's not what I want from our keeper right now. I thought there was one sequence in the second half where we actually played out a trouble. Played through their press, and he received it on the, not the goal line, but the end line. And I thought his feet were really good. He kept the ball moving. Andrew, he's head and shoulders are best goalkeeper now. I think so too. And you know, they made a good point. Something that I had not considered. During the broadcast, John champion Taylor 12 and they brought up the fact that with the congested fixture schedule and arsenal in the Europa League and met Turner being the goalkeeper for arsenal in the Europa League, everyone who's been saying he's not he's not playing leading up to this tournament, that's not good. Arsenal have a Europa Europa League match every week between now and the start of the tournament. And he's the goalkeeper. He's got 5 games. It's the same as pretty much every other goalkeeper in a normal cycle, so like even that, I've kind of eased up on this idea that he's not playing because he will be. I think it's 5 Europa League fixtures and one League Cup fixture. So it's either 5 or 6 games that he'll play. It's enough. It's enough. Right. It definitely is enough. Before we move on to the next thing, because I know people, they always want to hear my opinion on pitches. How in the name of God and all that is glorious is that field in that condition in late September. I mean, you are so, this is so on brand. I'll be honest with you. I didn't even notice. Oh, come on, Andrew. I didn't notice. You didn't notice. I asked you something else. Moments like this, I love you. This is so you. It was really bad, and it was, I mean, a lot of the animals were also chiming in to mention and hoping they get some pitch reaction. The only thing I can say is that maybe there's been heavy rainfall in dusseldorf or I would think that both sides have trained trend on the field. At some point in the last 48 hours, because it was cutting up so easily, it was caught up before the game started. One other thing of note before we get back to the grim tactical breakdown, there were very few people in the stadium. There was a lot of men, women, children, families, on the Japanese side, who in the Japanese community in dusseldorf are not German in that region of Germany. And there were a few American fans in there who I'm presuming you heard them as well. Yeah, they were noisy all throughout. They were, at one point, I wanted them just to just be quiet because I don't mind them sharing for their site. That's the stuff I want to hear. The stuff that they were going on was pretty unedifying for that kind of that kind of a game. So when Daniel Schmidt came on who was a U.S. citizen as well as a Japanese citizen, they started chanting Adam first of all that he was a W, repeatedly kept saying it. Oh, I couldn't on here it once it started. It irritated me so much. And then started chanting at him that he was actually an American. Now, apart from the silliness and the inane Ness of the whole thing. You know, read the room. It's not that kind of game. It's not like Schmidt. In the papers before the kid, Schmidt launches broadside at U.S.. You know, you're not my country, or made some kind of, you know, he assaulted a bald eagle or something to get upset about. Like to act like that in the game, you guys, whoever you were, I don't care that it's October fest. Just wise up, you annoyed me. Also, we are not the nation to be laying into dual nationals. For their choices, like the U.S. squad is kind of kind of littered with those players. Of course. Of course. Yeah, but you just don't do it anyway, but also this was not the intensity level of, you know what? Maybe they were trying to inspire some intensity out of the ranks of the U.S. team. For them cheering throughout. I didn't have a problem with that. I did not realize that it was like vitriol. No, but once I heard it, I was like, stop. Jeez, guys. Um, interesting. I'll tell you what, let me think on that for a moment. And let me sit with that. Gather my thoughts. We'll come back. We'll wrap up here with a few other things that we want to talk about from this game. And I did watch the figo documentary on your recommendation and it might be your best recommendation to date. So I have a quick couple of thoughts on that as well. Still a little bit more to do here on a cold Friday. In New York City on caught off side. Don't go anywhere. Oh, back again, you know,

"Follow me on Twitter at real D Schmidt much more to come on my promise Please folks go visit that website and follow this young man on his social media account Daniel how did this happen I mean most of us are so accustomed to censorship on college campuses This is not a dumb question I really I've been out of college When I was in college it wasn't like this at all I mean they were lefties obviously but I don't remember ever being afraid to tell people that I was a conservative I don't even remember it being a big deal It was kind of like yeah whatever The guy next to me is sat next to me in stony brook was a big conservative too How did you guys get in there and get to ask a question repeatedly It wasn't just one You got an apple bob you got Brian stelter in there I think Evita was in there too I'm actually let you guys in How did this happen Well yeah I mean we're making a big joke we're like if we can go through a three times because we've got three questions that that's going to be like a miracle by God So maybe God will then who knows No I just came out there we were confident We rose our hands There was a Q&A session I guess you know we did an app and I'm glad we did because if we were not there I mean not to Twitter or in some really no one else who got in critical questions The thing that these events is easily if they go to the events knowing not to be cancer going to ask me to have questions knowing they're going to get a big check I mean they can come to these events pretty much hungover and sound smarter and Goldberg was actually there today afterward And he called me out He said you know the kid they before had a very posterous assumption that if the hunter by laptop combat had to know the election what it had changed So clearly he was upset by my question He still is apparently on Twitter Hopefully I really do hope that this might change things Motivate either kid that other top schools to really ask these questions because there are a lot of these events These people are not going to concern the schools You won't see them go to university of Alabama They go to these top liberal schools because it's an easy way for them to do very brag on Twitter how I spoke to the future leaders And hopefully we're going to chase that because it's ridiculous how much they get away with We're talking to Daniel Schmidt from the Chicago thinker He was the young man who asked Ann app Obama the Atlantic the question about Hunter Biden that went viral Him and his friends also asked Brian stelter questions and they turned this whole conference into basically a rallying cry for freedom of speech and honesty in the media By the way Daniel you don't have to comment on this but don't worry about Jonah The Cheetos weren't next to him He was you don't have to comment on it I'm just saying Jonah is a 95% Cheeto 5% red blood cell white pleasant The Cheetos are running low He was upset Don't blame Jon But moving on what do you say being a conservative on today's college campus It's got to be hard It has to be difficult I don't know I'm not on a college campus but I did my MBA not that long ago And there were a lot of liberals there I mean this class was about 80 people in about 70 or more leftists And it's not easy being a conservative So what is your message out there to other conservatives on college campuses How do you tell them to do these I mean it took a lot of bravery to do that man It really did your surrounded by ideological opponents who probably think you're crazy even though you were the most sensible person there What do you say to them Yeah I mean of course there's a tough yeah but you have to go into lose Friends You may not be the most popular guy at how you might not get every girlfriend after you You know whatever but I think in this day you know we have such a focus on truth I mean if people are working there are some brilliant things passed into people I know We don't get paid for this We do it at just the goodness of our hearts because we really believe in the best it's really feeling like the world right now is just a terrible stage There's so much censorship and the kids are just you know they're wearing masks all day every day on the really unexpected and fairs And so I think more and more young people are just waking up in this thing how the hell did we get here So if any other people are listening I would really just say you know believe in yourself be confident if you're religious you know pretty God It just realized that we're really fighting a culture about it I mean this is up and this is going to exist past generation But knowing that you know look I'm a college kid and I was able to get all these headlines You can do the same by just asking a simple question And then who knows from there you might inspire somebody And so this is just a hope that all candidates have a better life I mean that's really what it's all about I think that's the only thing I should just conservatism It's not really just about our lifetime It's about future generations And it's really up to the youth to hopefully fix things So yeah any young people be confident believe in yourself fight for you know what aside from what you believe is right It's really just what is all that's what it's all about You are You are way ahead of your chronological age You are very a very mature young man I'll leave you with this question without going to Daniel Schmidt from the Chicago thinker who fired up the world with his viral video question of fake news journalist Anne applebaum at the Atlantic So Daniel you know when I was younger and I was when I was in school you know the sexy thing to do was to question authority I mean I used to love a band called Rage Against the Machine and it's ironic because now they love the machine Now the band's name should be worship and genuflect in front of the machine I mean they became like far leftist Morello and all these but when we were younger it was like cool to question authority even at a bumper sticker on my car Isn't it kind of strange how all that's changed and now people like yourself conservatives on college campuses you now are the misfits and the renegades and the real rebels I got to imagine your parents might tell you stuff like that Like it's so weird how you guys are the real misfits now Yeah no I talk about it I think about that all the time how rebel salad is we like to conservative Trump supporters I mean we are the rebels against.

"Putrid swamp you're listening to the Dan bongino show Here he is Dan bongino And giving us all hope that there is a future for this great country despite all the wokeness I'm trying to sexualize kids and doctrine 8 kids Teach him to be racist through CRT You know you may think all is lost but it's not Some videos emerged last week from a disinformation conference at the University of Chicago which was really a left wing conference full of left wing media nuts who went there to basically bash conservatives and call for censorship And what happened is a group of very brave young men and women showed up at the conference and started asking questions And if there's one thing the left hates worse than anything folks it's asking questions One of those young men was named Daniel Schmidt Daniel joins us today Daniel welcome to the show Thanks for having me Dan It's a pleasure Thank you Yeah man you guys you and Evita and others you just did amazing work You essentially want to a conference which in my opinion was designed to attack conservative thought and push for censorship and taras is disinformation specialist And you turn the conference into an international narrative on media malfeasance itself Now you asked Anne applebaum of the Atlantic a very specific question You asked her about the Hunter Biden laptop in the role in the election And the answer she gave you was stunning calling it largely irrelevant The president's son and all this damning information As you're asking this question and getting this answer back what's going through your head You've got to be stunned that she's so candid or so silly I mean of course of course at the same time I mean this is what we wrote and so used to over the years These journalists do not give a damn about being fair about representing a fair narrative They tossed over this information around like it's a political tool The funniest part is I think Jack is so they actually did this He actually dug up old tweets from an apple boxer in the Trump years and she tweeted constantly about how much she hated how the Trump kids were using the Trump name to do all these partnerships So she's out of that to be interesting But she didn't find a laptop of a son of a president whose contents found that he was in the board of a Ukrainian energy company with no expertise which found that 10% of the salaries go into the big man I mean clear evidence of corruption she didn't find it to be interesting And the starting point on top if I could just say this in a few days afterward she blocked us on Twitter I write for the accounts I think you're Chicago on Twitter She totally blocked us She blogged a bunch of college students to request it So yeah that's where we're at Oh my gosh Daniel I was so eager to get you on the show I asked producer Jim I said go find this young man immediately and get him on the show You really you guys give me hope I know if Vita and full disclosure I know her and her mom well Evita's wonderful too Vita Duffy Daughter of Sean and Rachel Campo selfie But you're right I did see those tweets We highlighted them on the show This is a person who you know she claims to be a journalist It's not a mystery We're not defaming her She says she's a journalist And the essence of journalism is to give people facts and then let them formulate an opinion on an independent series of facts And you confronted her about this laptop which is a fact that exists which now confirmed it's Hunter Biden's laptop And she just exposed the whole corrupt thing and you basically shifted what was supposed to be a positive for the left A conference designed to start a narrative about how they should censor conservatives into this is what media bias really looks like How did you feel afterwards when you started getting calls by media people like us to appear You know I was happy to do it I mean that wasn't my goal I literally just went there I was like look I'm going to ask a question because frankly every advocate there was just asking you know why are you so great What are you going to do Why are you so great Yeah why are you so free Like a big worshiping ceremony you know that president Obama there so it was a big ceremonies event I'm sure our school said that's crazy amounts of money on this And it is funny how now the only media attention is how terrible it was I mean if I'm proud of myself of course but I think it just shows how college kids you know you don't need to be some fancy powerful person You know I think the basic question and just it's just how incompetent how unimpressive they are We think it's people are some of the smartest in the world They're really not They just got there because they're very arrogant they're very elitist and they think they're the best in the world which clearly they're not My gosh you're a light years ahead of your chronological age Daniel Schmidt from the Chicago thinker right Is that right I don't want to get that wrong Yes You can go to the Chicago secret dot com or English Chicago You can also.

"Hi, thank you for coming. My name is Christopher Phillips. I'm a first year at the college. My question is for mister selzer. You've all spoken extensively about Fox News being a purveyor of disinformation. But CNN is right up there with them. They push the Russian collusion hoax. They push the Jussie Smollett hoax. They smear justice Kavanaugh as a rapist and they also smeared Nick salmon as a white supremacist. And yes, they dismissed the Hunter Biden laptop affair as pure Russian disinformation. With mainstream corporate journalists becoming little more than apologists and cheerleaders for the regime, is it time to finally declare that the canon of journalistic ethics is dead or no longer operative. All the mistakes of the mainstream media and CNN in particular seem to magically all go in one direction. Are we expected to believe that this is all just some sort of random coincidence? Or is there something else behind it? It's too bad it's time for lunch. You have 30 seconds. No, there's a clock that says 30 seconds, but I think my honest answer to you, and I will come over and talk in more detail after this. Is that I think you're describing a different channel than the one that I watch. But I understand that that is a popular right wing narrative about CNN. I think it's important. When we talk about shared reality and democracy, all these networks, all these news outlets have to defend democracy. And when they screw up, admit it. But when Benjamin hall, the fox correspondent, was wounded in Ukraine. The news crews at CNN and The New York Times stopped what they were doing, and they tried to help. They tried to help him get out of the country. They tried to find the dead crew members. That's what news outlets do. That's how they actually do work together to your question about sharing those kinds of connections and trust. We don't talk about it enough though. We don't share that reality about how that happens. And with regards to the regime, I think you mean the President Biden. We yelled at each other. So that's the reality of the news business, the people don't see the people don't hear. They imagine that it's a situation that simply is not. But I think your question, it speaks to the failure of journalism to show our work and show the reality of how our profession operates. We have a lot of work to do, I think. So can I just say this about Brian stelter? What a sleaze ball. He actually uses the depths of two Fox journalists and another who is gravely injured. He inserted them in the answer to deflect. What a sleazeball that guy is. So look, we're going to be talking with Daniel Schmidt. That college student coming up after the break 8 four four 747 88 68 that's a toll free telephone number, 8 four four 747 88 68. This is the Todd stern show. Thank you. Thank you for doing those really appreciated on Daniel Schmidt. I'm a freshman at the University of Chicago. My question is for miss applebaum. So in 2020 you wrote, those who live outside the Fox News bubble do not, of course, need to learn any of this stuff about Hunter Biden, referring to his laptop of curse. A poll later after that found that if voters knew about the content of the laptop 16% of Joe Biden voters would have acted differently. Now, of course, we know a few weeks ago, The New York Times confirmed that the content is real. Do you think the media acted inappropriately when they instantly dismissed Hunter Biden's laptop as Russian disinformation and what can we learn from that and ensuring that what we label as this information is truly this information and not reality? My problem with Hunter Biden's laptop is I think totally irrelevant. I mean, it's not whether it's disinformation or I mean, I didn't think the Hunter Biden's business relationships have anything to do with who should be president of the United States. So I don't find it to be interesting. I mean, that would be my problem with that as a major news story. All right, so that was just one snippet of a conversation at the University of Chicago's disinformation conference called the name of the conference by the way, disinformation of the erosion of democracy. Just a few moments ago, the Chicago thinker. And by the way, the voice you heard that the individual asking that question, Daniel Schmidt, a senior editor with the Chicago thinker, which is an independent student newspaper. They've been asking questions that a lot of people are just afraid to ask of the media and now the Chicago Tribune or I'm sorry now the Atlantic's editor in chief is calling the Chicago thinkers reporting a disinformation campaign. Unbelievable. Well, I want to go to the patriot mobile newsmaker line and the brave individual who asked that question joins us Daniel Schmidt, who is a freshman at the University of Chicago. Daniel, what an honor to have you with us today. Hey Todd, thank you for having me. It's an honor to be on.

"Now, you can have an argument and a debate over the transgender movement, but no one has yet to explain how do you protect the rights of biological women? Are they supposed to just surrender and no longer compete or should they just be satisfied with always coming in second place or third place depending on how many men who identify as women are on the women's team? And that is an argument that needs to be had and it is only going to be had when people with the courage of miss gaines Riley gaines of the university of Kentucky stand up and speak out. She's not being mean spirited here. She simply stating the facts. And if the female athletes would follow her lead, the NCAA and I would say that sports across America would have to have a come to reckoning to come to Jesus moment here and figure all of this out, because right now, the only people that are getting shut out are in fact the biological women. Hey, we got to take a break here, folks. The Hunter Biden scandal, you don't want to always stick around for the next hour. We'll be right back. Life from the Liberty University studio in Memphis, Tennessee. It's America's conservative blowtorch. That's right. I love this American ride Todd. All right folks, wow, we've got a lot going on. This hour of the program, and we're spending a good chunk of the time on Hunter Biden and this crazy, this crazy information that's been coming out from all sorts of news agencies now that have finally jumped on board and have been now following up on the work, the incredible work of the New York Post, which broke the story in the first place. But I want to, I want to play some audio from a conference that just occurred, it's still ongoing at the University of Chicago. And ample bomb is a journalist. She is a far leftist, and she's complete sleazoid. She is, she is a reporter with the Atlantic magazine, which is folks. It's one of the sleaziest publications out there. I mean, just far left, they flat outright lies about anybody, including yours truly. It's just an evil organization. But I you need to hear this because it is a brilliant thing that happened this woman, the Atlantic journalist, and applebaum was brought down, smacked around. During a Q&A session at the University of Chicago by a freshman journalist. As a matter of fact, grace, we're going to try to get this guy on the show tomorrow. Daniel Schmidt is his name. He's the editor in chief 21 years old, editor in chief of the independent school newspaper. You know they identified him in the original reporting as the editor of the school newspaper. And I thought, well, that can't be right. Because this kid actually asked a legitimate question and sure enough, yours truly never trusting the mainstream media did some journalism did some investigating. Because we knew journalism here on this program. And it turns out that he's the editor of the independent student newspaper. So this kid got up and he asked a very important question about Hunter Biden's laptop and why the mainstream media failed and the reason he asked this question. And I know that our engineer Kyle is just his finger is on the trigger waiting just waiting to play that audio but Kyle hold your horses because I have more to say. The whole point of this conference at the University of Chicago was to discuss disinformation and the erosion of democracy. And it was as boring as all get out. It was like watching paint dry. Until the freshman journalist, Daniel Schmidt, rose from his seat, approached the microphone and said the following words. Thank you. Thank you for doing this really appreciate it. I'm Daniel Schmidt. I'm a freshman at the University of Chicago..

"Much hotter world It ain't never So the next time you hear someone sight the United Nations climate change report don't take it as gospel For me it's personally very important that we take what we call the precautionary principle If we don't know how bad something can become let's avoid it My name is Daniel Schmidt I'm a professor in the school of our sciences at the university of Bristol Daniela contributed to the most recent UN report otherwise she spends much of her time looking at mud samples drawn from the bottom of the sea And we're going hundreds of meters deep and pull out things which look a little bit like a syringe These are filled with sediments and we cut them open like a book and then layer by layer can read the history of the ocean But that book makes for disturbing reading The change we are currently seeing is the fastest we think we have seen since the extinction of the dinosaurs There's no evidence of anything which was even just a tenth as quick And it's the same for organisms than for us If change has happened gradually then we can adapt We can change our behaviors If things happen from one day to the next the losses are much larger Nearly a third of all the carbon we humans are dumping in the air gets absorbed into the surface layer of the ocean CO2 is a mild asset And so the uptake of CO2 makes the surface ocean more acidic Those organisms living in the ocean and which are growing skeletons and shells it goes out of what they have experienced in the entire evolutionary history The acidity makes it chemically much harder for those organisms to grow their shells And we're not just talking about clams and crabs here but also coral and microscopic plankton These organisms sit right at the base of the food chain that all ocean life depends on You have an algae being eaten by a little plant that will be eaten by fish that will be eaten by bigger fish And every life in the ocean below the light flood its own depends on that food being produced in the top of the surface layer So our deep ocean is incredibly fragile dependent on what happens in the surface ocean Daniela says it is very hard to predict what all this will do to ocean life But some of the most biologically rich areas like coral reefs seem pretty doomed What worries me that they are really important ecosystems which are already at the brink of collapsing If you were to take your snorkels and you go into the water you see beautiful diverse ecosystems colorful.
