"The Briana Taylor case, and there has been since the public first learned of what happened what went down at that apartment back in March. I'll just say this. You cannot trust the media one way or another on this thing because the media is leaving out. Facts of the case, Ignoring facts of the case, smothering facts of the case. I would just say, Find everything you can find out. In terms of your own fact finding missions and then come to your own opinion, even from places that you might not Usually go well, but this is the problem And it's a problem with politics to is. People find what speaks to them the narrative that they choose that they want to believe, and they don't They shut their eyes to everything else. As soon as they start reading something that they disagree with, or it doesn't fit what they have in their head. They ignore it because we're not listening to each other. I'm sorry. Say that again, exactly. You know, I was watching one network news source, and they were completely ignoring the huge bombshell that stuck out to me yesterday. Was that this was not a no knock warrant. We'll cover huge Harris yesterday. Tweeted. This is ours. After Daniel camera, the attorney general came out and said This was not a no knock warrant. She tweeted last night that you know our heart aches for Briana Taylor's family and that this is being you know, we have to continue to seek justice and including reworking how we do no knock warrants. Well, what? First of all, that's one of those things that you're so you're ignoring a major piece of the story that came out yesterday. And why I did it on Li come out yesterday. It would behoove them to put that out months ago, But But here's the other thing. Nobody's listening. Well, Salar have already made up their mind about this and and our Doug digging their heels in I think the big thing that came out of yesterday, which is the root of the problem was the warrant situation it despite the fact it was a no. No, it was not a no knock warrant right despite the fact that a witness saw That officer knock on the door, announce himself as police and all of that It's still a problem when it's in the middle of the night. Like I've said before, if it's the middle of the night and someone's banging on my door and I've got a weapon, I'm gonna grab that weapon. And even if they say it's the police, I still in skeptical in my mind. I just woke up. You know someone's banging on my door. They said, Please, I don't know. So I have my weapon in my hand. They burst in and just me holding my gun would be enough for them to shoot me, and that's a problem like that. Problem, and I understand the need for the police to have an element of surprise with some of these things, but that's still an issue. It's an issue for the officers as well S O The fact that the attorney general came out yesterday and said, We are going to put a task force together and just break down. How we do warrants and really look at a top to bottom review of this and find out with the best practices are I think that's a huge deal. Ah, huge. I want to say concession, but ah, great first step. Well, and it's an acknowledgement that this is a you know, it's a symptom of a Of what could be a systemic problem when it comes to warrants in general, how they're achieved, how they're how they're applied for how they're accepted how the judge approves, and I mean, that's sort of all of that, and that's what the attorney general's talking about. I also pointed out yesterday, and I tried to find out more information about it last night, the investigation into the actual warrant itself. Because, as the attorney general pointed out those three officers that were involved in the actual knocking on the door shooting Ian Briana Taylor's apartment. They are not the officers who Ah, who sought the warrant in the first place, which could be nothing. It could also mean that there were problems with the original warrant. So that's a different issue. Now. Last night, there were protests in all honesty. Was pretty amazed that they were not as violent as they could have been at about six o'clock. Our time was when the curfew hit in Louisville and for the most part all of the Louisville Curiel Juror Courier Journal or whatever the newspapers. The TV stations. They were all reporting within a few minutes of nine o'clock Louisville time that the streets were clearing out and there was a there was a shooting. There were two officers who were hit and the update from police chief Robert Trader came this morning, Mr Robinson, there's Roaches. Was shot in the abdomen last night, having to undergo surgery as a result of his injuries. He's in stable condition and expected to recover Major Aubrey Gregory. He was the commander of her. Special operations division and was leading efforts on the ground last night. I was treated and released from University Hospital for a gunshot wound to his hip, which is pretty amazing, considering the damage that could have been done. I mean, this is again a shooting of police officers that we've seen echoed. You know, just a couple of weeks ago in the ambush against the two deputies that they were able to survive was pretty crazy. Did you see what happened in Seattle? Soon. There were protesters there and police on on bikes and one of the police officers. On the bikes. Ah, it's slipped and fell off the bike or whatever, and he's getting back up and someone takes a baseball bat to his head. Miraculously. I mean, he was injured, obviously, but he was able to walk away from that situation. But so I guess my question is, what's What's your expectation at that point? If you're the guy with a bat, what do you expect to happen? You have to bet on the fact that you're going to be killed. Well, the officer responded by pepper spraying. The guy which I thought was That's an amazing show of restraint, either. Yeah. Mayor Greg Fischer of Louisville. Said. We have to watch ourselves any seed Briana Taylor's case as both the tragic death of a young woman in the continuation of a long pattern, a devaluation and violence. Black women and men face in our country, as they have historically, as for what's next, reject violence and join me and committing ourselves to the work of reform. For justice and for equity and do that Now we have to respond to what Dr King called the fierce urgency of now. Here in the wings, by the way, is the ongoing and potentially Mohr. Damaging trial against the officers accused of killing George Floyd. Because it's not a clear cut case. Because that guy had fentanyl in his system. He had underlying health conditions. Now the state of Minnesota says that you as a law enforcement officer, If you have anything to do to speed up that guy's death, you could be on the hook for murder. What if I'm pretty sure that the what would that what he did sped up the death, right? But I'm saying that there there are arguments and the trial itself is going to be tough to convict. It really is. It always is. Look at the numbers. Very few officers who go on trial for acting in the in the line of duty are convicted..

"His statement his complete synopsis of the announcement that he made today It's online. I'll be posted on social media here in a couple of minutes. But in it, he reiterates. That when officers run able to get anyone answer the door to the apartment, the decision was made to breach the door. Sergeant Manning leaves the first and only officer to enter the residence. Sergeant Mattingly identified two individuals standing beside one another. At the end of the hall note, he said, standing Said a male and a female. In his statement. He says the mail was holding a gun arms extended in a shooting stance. I've been trained. I'm I have a concealed carry. Shooting stance. I think you know, means arms extended as though you are Engaged in A gun fight. I mean, we're taught over and over again, where To put our hands. Howto have raised the weapon, how to extend your arms out in his shooting stance. Now those are the only terms he uses. But I'm that's the picture. I see in my mind from this. He said, Hey goes on to say In a statement In his statement, Kenneth Walker Ah Mattingly rather says that the male was holding a gun arms extended in a shooting stands. Mattingly said the man's gun fired heard a boom. Immediately knew he was shot as a result of feeling heat in his upper thigh. So that's the big question about Was it friendly fire for the officer, and there the The evidence presented to the grand jury, which, by the way, Steve Roll mines. Today with Mei said that all Daniel camera was doing was presenting his narrative to the grand jury, and they based their decision on his narrative. Well, this is what it issue can read it in detail for yourself. But note, he said, standing Both of them. However, Benjamin Crump, who is the civil rights attorney, issued a statement a joint statement actually with Sam Aguilar and LL. Anita Baker, who are Louisville co counsel's Ben Crump is a national figure. But he says in there that there are a lot of inconsistencies with what Daniel Cameron claimed. Ben Crump, the attorney. You have to remember he works on behalf of the Briana Taylor estate and would have likely been been taking a significant chunk of the $12 million settlement with the city of Louisville. We need to state that He says an illegal Warren obtained by perjury well. That issue was also addressed by Daniel Cameron today, and he said that the warrant details were not known to the police officers who are Executing the warrant. They're just told to do their jobs is what he said. They just go out. They get their orders and do it right. And remember, there were multiple warrants and other places, too, because they were trying to stop this. Drug operation. If not at this exact same moment, pretty close to some of each party can't contact the others and let them know what's up. So been Trump at odds with what was released today, he goes on to say in a statement and again, I should say they go on because it's technically a multi lawyer statement. However, the headline reads. National Civil rights Attorney Ben Crump responds to grand Jury Decision and Briana Taylor case. So trump if you will, says Um More than 30. Gunshots fired, many of which were aimed Briana while she was on the ground. If you heard any reference to anything like that, Haley before. Ah, no Unless were that we're assuming that once she was hit because she was hit six times on Ly one was fatally. But maybe one of them hit a leg and she fell, And then they shot her on the ground. But that was never brought up in Cameron's Ah, Why would you shoot her on the ground that that would be? My only logic from it is if she had fallen and they were still aiming at her and Kenneth Walker is upright and is not hit right, right. That that would only Yeah, that would be the on ly scenario I could think of. Well, either that or they're just firing blindly and that, you know, not really good. Yeah. Well, he uses that word blandly. Here's back to Ben Crump statement. Many others fired blindly into every room of her home. That seems correct, A documented and clear cover up and the death of an unarmed black woman who posed no threat and who was living her best life. That's just part of a statement. From attorney Ben Crump..

"Governor. Bashir didn't have a whole lot to say, Willy. When it came Teo the case with the Brown a tailor, he did mention that the National Guard is act is ready to act if necessary, if needed, Um, the guard and the Kentucky State police would engage in limited specific missions where they would be under their own command. That would be in support of L A. P D. I can't imagine. All the work that the different agencies are using to make sure that they have a coordinated effort to defend the buildings and protect lives. Homeland Security's going to protect the federal buildings. Willie as you pointed out, rightly there Earlier you got el NPD. You have little fire and rescue. You have Kentucky State police, which are apparently going to be there and support of l A, p D. And then the possibility of the National Guard. Has you heard of the governor? Talk about right there. So either way, um we've been hearing some stories about the different areas. Of hotel sightings and even staging, for example of a bill. You know, of all kinds of different officials with other homeland security, and I think they have a staging Um, situation there at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center from not mistaking. Have you heard that will I have not heard that, but he wouldn't surprise me. I mean, it's a Sizable area that you could use this kind of a command post area. Try me. I wouldn't rule that out. It's it's a spot that's outside of the the restricted area. If you will. It's The only other place I think that would be large enough to do something like that would be the International Convention Center, and that's obviously in the restricted area. So ah! I have not heard that but it again. Just putting two and two together. That kind of makes sense. I haven't been there, so I can't officially tell you that again, You know, um You hear a lot of things you see a lot of things and a lot of things that have not, um, panned out when it comes to Facebook and and other things that people have been put out there and they don't mean to Be mean or anything that they feel like they're updating people, but you've got to be careful with him. We have to be careful about it as well. But I have heard a number of people that indicated The you know, for example, that homeland security you know, they've seen vehicles around those kinds of things. So we're getting ready and we'll announce we come today. I don't know. I suspect That it could just given the nature of what some things we've seen The mayor, for example, for the first time in several what weeks or months, Scotty? I guess I had to cancel today's interview at 8 15, which we normally have. And so I guess everybody. Yeah, I kind of thought that was coming. I understand. I mean, there's just there's a lot that's going on. Right now. I'm bigger fish to fry than Come on for five minutes. Well, yeah, there's there's just a lot. It's about to get real in this city. Hopefully, it's for the better as Willie mentioned, you know, hopefully Ellen PDS plan for the worst hoping for the best, and it sounds like they've got a handle on it. We make it through this whole thing, and it may just be I'll have some violence, but it may turn out to not be as bad as what everybody thought it wass way. But we don't know The important thing to remember here is that there are only a handful of people who truly know what that decision's going to be. Attorney General Daniel Camera didn't even know he presented his investigation. The grand jury is the only group of people who knows how this is going to go and I don't I don't know the exact number off the top of my head who sits on the grand jury. It's obviously larger than the standard 12 for a criminal trial, but When you're talking about a grand jury. I mean, that's the utmost secrecy until they decide it's not a secret anymore. Soli. "One of the one of the primary purposes of Demonstrations in protest. is to reveal the hypocrisy. Of People in power. And the protests yesterday in Louisville the demonstration. That was led by our friends at until freedom, and please follow them across social media at until freedom we love and believe in their team. They are co founded by our friends to Meka Mallory My son Angelo Pinto and Linda Sarsour. They're doing some of the best most important civil rights work in the country right now. And they love the family of Brianna, Taylor and are fighting. To hold the officers who killed Brianna responsible. And their demonstration yesterday, which had nearly a hundred people from all over. Louisville even some people who came from out of state. Was a peaceful organized nonviolent protest. And over one hundred people were arrested and sent to the local jail there in Louisville. And after a few hours. After three or four hours turned into five or six hours, eight or nine hours ten or eleven hours. It was clear that Louisville was up to something. And it appears to me that what they were up to. was they were trying to search to find? An Obscure Law. To allow themselves. To basically intimidate. Not just those protesters, but all peaceful protesters. To intimidate them? By charging them with a felony. Mind you. These were one hundred peaceful protesters who broke no law. And they were charged with felonies. All one hundred of them. Men Women and children alike. People who were literally? Peaceful nonviolent demonstrators. Were charged in the middle of the night. With felonies! For their peaceful protest. Now obviously, we can hope and believe that eventually all of these felonies will be dismissed. But it's outrageous. And revealed the hypocrisy of the which was the purpose of the protests. It's outrageous. That the person who they were demonstrating protesting. Attorney General Kentucky Attorney General. Daniel Camera! That Louisville found it quick and easy. To. Arrest and charge a hundred protesters. Who literally sat on a yard. Criss Cross applesauce peaceful and did nothing. In you found a felony to charge them with. But it has now been months. In you just can't figure out. Can't can't figure out how to charge how to arrest. The men who barged into the home of any sensual worker while she was in bed a sleep. Just can't can't figure it out. Just can't work it out. Just can't find that low just can't find that policy. Yet in a matter of hours. You found a way to charge to charge a hundred people. Who was sitting on a? You found a way to charge a hundred people with felonies, and as I record. This have still kept dozens of them. In Jail! Refusing to release them. It's instructive. It's insightful. What it teaches us. Is that. This system! It can charge whoever it wants. It can find a felony. For whoever it wants imagine. Charging a hundred people, not four police officers, not three police officers, not one police officer, but you. You found a policy a law that would allow you to charge a hundred people who sat on your front yard. To charge them with felonies. Nobody threatened your safety. Nobody was physical or violent with a single soul. You found a felony. But all of a sudden. When the whole world is demanding that you hold the officers. Who Murdered Up a beautiful kind soul in the middle of the night to charge her with the felony. That, you can't figure that out. Shows us. That this system was not designed to provide families who experienced police brutality. It was not designed. To provide them with justice. It was designed to oppress them. And that's a lesson that I have to teach you on the breakdown over and over and over again. What Peaceful Demonstration in Louisville has taught us. Is that this system. Was designed with certain people and certain preferences and certain privileges was designed with all of that in mind. And any time. You try to squeeze and can. TORT THIS SYSTEM To force it to hold violent, brutal police officers accountable. All of a sudden, the system is slow. All of a sudden, the system can't find. Laws can't find policies. Can't find the courage to issue a charge. This is the system that arrest and charges over ten million people a year. quickly. But all of a sudden. When you needed to efficiently. Charge a police officer. It gives real slow. We're doing an investigation. Where was the investigation into the peaceful protests? There was no investigation. They charged him with felonies in a matter of hours. People are still in jail right now. Overnight over a peaceful protest. And so. You know I am. Incredibly frustrated. But I want to have US take a few action steps today. Steel. Many of you have gone here before, but for today's action step. I needed to do something that you.
