"Screen, Cody. This is bullshit. This one's pro you. I put one up making fun of this. But there is a little conclusion. Didn't raise his head to answer the question. That's a good one. But for people that are gambling on this stuff, like I feel like at some point in golf they're going to have to figure out rather than it being up to the competitors that don't really have that much better information. I feel like at some point we're going to have like three we're going to have radar going everywhere and it's going to be able to triangulate. It's like that Israeli technology that is really radar technology that they use in the NBA. Cody would love to tap you out on this one as well. Any words there? Thank God he went with the MBA. I thought we were going to trap draw our conversations here. I was like, I don't know if this is a platform for that. It is interesting that David has ended up in this situation a couple of times, which if I have any bias here, it stores Joel who I would consider a friend and who's been a guest on this show many times. I have no relationship with Daniel Berger, but Joel is also, you know, Joel doesn't think that grandstands are a problem. Yeah, Joel is the watcher on the wall. Do not try to take a bad job. I don't know. Could be justice for son Kang. If Joel's proven to be incorrect, I believe. We had sunk. We had sung wrong all the whole time. Exactly. I don't know. It makes you think is all. That seems unlikely. What else we gotta say? I mentioned it briefly, but kisner is round was a complete cash machine as well. I think that was, he was in the he was in the money booth. Just grab it shit off the walls. Which I know everyone has one of these holes at sawgrass. Everyone has one disaster haul. He made what a triple bogey on 17 on, I thought he did. No, he made a he made a big number earlier in this week that was double on 5. He made a double. I thought he made a triple in 17. I mean, I have that wrong. He made a double on 5 early in the week, but yeah, okay, my take is nullified them. That's where I thought he went in the water on 17 and cost himself a lot of money, but yeah, he has one of the few players that has a pretty consistent track record. And I think kisner is game similar to cam's. Yes. I agree. They're both very good iron players can be spotty off the tee. But maximize their games around the greens. I just like looking at his scorecard because it is very sawgrass is a little Augusta ish on that back 9, right, where it's like, he gets through, he bogeys 11, which is a totally gettable hole that he should have buried. But then you just know that, okay, now I'm on 12 T, I absolutely can run downhill and I can just go grab a ton of cash and maybe something weird will happen to put myself in contention. I think that's what makes it obviously let me be the 8000th person to say that. Bernie, I think that's what makes it so fun to watch. I mean, like 14, you can run downhill really 11, 12, 13, and then you can get caught sleeping on four. 14, 15 is like a little heat check there. A little bit like 14 at Augusta, where it doesn't look like much. 14 and 17 at Augusta, a little bit. 15 was the second hardest hole today. Only 6 birdies on that one. I mean, 7 had to be hard as shit today too. 7, 8 was that was a tough little stretch. Straight back into the wind. 7 was 6 tardis in the 8th was the hardest hole today. And it was all the best players. I think they got it in the hardest conditions coming in the last few groups, but the wind was really starting to pick up a little bit of that footage. Rommel also probably pulled a pulled up for scoring average on four. Rom had a buoy on this. On four. There was a coast guard helicopter coming in, flying above as he was making his 9 on four, which we were out there watching. First of all, on three, he blocks a probably an 8 or 7 iron way right, doesn't yell for the it's just a note. It's got to be fair. We got to get on the European guys just as we get on the American guys. Absolutely brain to that guy. Hit a dude in the dome. But then it was great. Did a whole song and dance. Yeah, and made the joke. Hug, very public headbutted onto the green next time for me. That whole bit. That was good. And then it got dark out. And then he hits it right on for and he's in the fairway bunker, and I remember thinking like, God, I would hit this in the water for sure, but I can not wait to watch him just hit the middle of the green. He chunks it right in the water, and gets up, takes a weird drop DJ to your credit, you were like, yeah, I know he's number one player in the world, but I don't know about 90 yards out on a downslope, ball above your feet. And I was like, oh no, he's gonna hit this right now. He basically took it as far back as he possibly could, still in the fairway, downhill live, but somehow above his feet as well. Super weird. Very, very weird place. Chunk that into the water. So now he's hitting 6, hits another bad one onto the front of the green, then three parts of her 9. Maybe worse than the ones that win the water. Yeah. Tough, tough, tough. And JT hit it to like what two feet and then Doc Redman. JT and Doc Redman had 6 combined strokes on the whole ram had 9 strokes on the whole. JT hit it to like two inches and then romp hit it 5 times and took two penalty shots before JT got to tap it. Doc Redman though, not a real doctor. Which we learned today. That was news. Yeah, he's a PhD. Yeah. Sorry, I had to get that off. We had way too much fun with that. For about four holes there. JT's shot in a medicine woman. That was the next best shot I saw to cams. Well, I was like, oh my God, we're probably not going to see anything better into three than that and then cam puts it pin high. Just right at the pin, but very, very tough, tough placement there today. God, I had a blast watching JT this week. I kind of said it on the show the other night. I know it wasn't the finish that he was looking for the weekend. He was looking for, but what did he do today? Even part kind of stuck in stuck in neutral a little bit. Eagle 16 though, but then that's right he doubled 17. Triple, sorry, triple 17. But this week, and a lot of obviously most of it was the conditions, but we said this the other night that I think there's a misconception I'm sure that I'm very guilty of this as well, especially when you start getting a little jolly on the show and your mouth starts moving a little faster than your brain. But I think there's a misconception about like, oh, technology and conditions, and these guys, they can't hit any shots, man. These guys don't, you know, they don't have what it can't do with the players of your used to do. And then you watch JT and you watch a bunch of other guys have to, we just don't get to see them hit the shots. 100% absolutely can hit the shots. We just don't ever get to see him, which both made me so happy this week that we did get to see it. And it made me so bummed that we don't get to see it more. Well, that's JT rose miles in my book this week of like, God, I didn't realize I don't think just how fun that guy is to watch..

"PGA Tour? Was it like ten? Yeah, 2005 and I lost my card in 2012 and 13. Got back on 14. And I still had full card in 2017. So I was out, I went straight from Hooters to the tour, didn't do back the old Q school. So I went straight there and a real Q school bro, the real Q school. 2005 to 2012, maybe. And or 11, and then 1213 a web, and then 14, 15, 60, 17, on tour. And then I had another injury and I have not been the same since. Are you still getting into it? Are you getting into stuff or are you having to go to Q school if you wanted to play corn fair or whatever? You still sneaking into some stuff or what are you up to now? Yeah, I'm pretty much done. I'm so far back now. That yeah, I mean, I looked at, I just looked before I got along with you guys at the Puerto Rico, Puerto Rico's opposite of payoffs. So, and I think I was like 18 out. So I'm still like, I'm so far out. But I honestly want to go to one of these so I can make the cut because what happened was I got injured, I came back to the web dot com playoffs, thinking I could come back, but I shouldn't have. I should have, I should be sitting up, I should be collecting a medical right now, but I'm so stupid, financially, that I just, I want to come back as quick as possible, and my career is kind of going down the drain since. Well, I mean, let's be honest. If anybody could take a decade off and then come back and win on the PGA Tour right after that, I think you're the guy dude. For sure. He's number one pick. Age is just kept caught up to you. You know, I mean, I'm so my body's just fudged, man. I don't even know if I can get in the best. I don't know if I'm getting good shape anymore. Everything's messed up. Willie Mack, this is what it sounds like to me, okay? This is what it sounds like to me. And I like it, give me some live advice. It sounds like exactly, I mean, I'm younger than you by, I don't know what 8 or 9 years probably. But there's it sounds like exactly what I'm going through right now too, dude. I don't want to play golf anymore. I don't even want to do it competitively anymore. But everybody outside of me, my circle, my immediate circle, my family, my kids, my wife, my parents, they all want me to play. So they're always asking, when are you going to play again? When are you going to play again? Why aren't you playing right now? And I always tell them like, I don't like to play golf anymore. It's not what I do. It's not who I am. My life's not defined by golf. And they look at me like I'm insane. Like, I've done it forever. That's why you've done it. What are you telling me this far? I'm like, look, I don't even enjoy it anymore. And I think it took me a while to accept that as kind of a reality for myself. And that's kind of, I mean, I'm trying to say that's similar to what I'm hearing from you, but you're just not saying it to me. And that's kind of what Steve was saying. Steve Marino was saying, you know, a couple of weeks ago, he's like, man, but I don't know how he is. Mad, but I don't really know how long, much longer I can do this. I'm like, yeah, I mean, the gravy train is for everybody, at some point, right? And you have to prepare for it the best you can. Absolutely. Yeah, there's been, like I said, the decision and not like sit on a medical and let myself heal properly. When I had that injury, I finished, in 2017, I was chopping, classic me, no chop and I made, you know, not enough money. Maybe a couple hundred or so thousand and I was just like, going to lose my card, probably. And I was at Hartford. And I was, it was the year that Daniel Berger that Jordan Spieth pulled out on her, and I finished 17, which you know, for us, is a good finish. You know, so it was nice and I was flying back with Bert. You know, he had his private little gig going sick plane. And it was good. It was good. I was gaining on it in spades, 75 grand. I was like, you know, I got 300 grand. I obviously need to make a ton more, but you know how golf is? Sure. All I gotta do is see a couple putts go in for me like you know you and me and dude at that week I was probably the claw and I had it Ford pressed foot. I remember that. Dude, I'm gonna kill him next week. The kiln next week with this rig, this little Jerry rig I got going 'cause you're always searching if you suck at button. So I had a nice little thing going and dude, I literally like flew back with book. And I was like, sorry about the chip. He's like, he didn't even care. You know? Yeah, such a good player. And I went, I ran my buddy's bug, me and him. We ran over The Bahamas, and we were spearfishing, and I pulled back a spear gun, and I freaking drop fired, it accidentally and I ripped this freaking middle finger of my left hand, almost ripped it off. I thought I ripped it off in the water. I thought I was gonna see it freaking shot out there like the spear. And I like tried to heal up from it. It was like, nah, I don't think you want to do surgery on that. It's called the radial collateral ligament. You blown up this joint capsule and I was like, all right, man, I'll just let it sit. And marinate and I sit, ice plunge it, and when I started coming back, my hand felt real shitty on it. And I tried to mess around with my grip a little bit. Y'all know, it you're on a wormhole or death hole if you start fondling with this. It just gets ugly. And I couldn't, I could not feel good anymore. As finally, I finally feel fine after maybe a year, like two years. I started hitting it well again, but then I lost my putter even worse and when you lose the putter, you don't want to play golf. So you're like, fuck it. I ain't playing golf. If I'm gonna put it like shit, I'm gonna hit it up there to 8 feet from one 90. And I'm gonna miss that bitch every time. You're pissed. I mean, I don't accept poor golf. I don't like it. I don't like anything about it. Like, my son plays pretty poor golf maverick. And I'm like, I'm like, dude, why are you even doing? Dude, no, you're right, dude, because you know you know what the good shit is. That's what sucks about getting hurt too, especially with golf, more than any other sport. Like you'll sit at home and you're like, all right, I'm gonna, you know, I'm hurt, I'm on a medical, whatever, you're gonna play every day or practice every day. And then you start firing a few low res in a row. Yeah. And then you're like, oh shit, my game's ready. I'm gonna go back once I go back, see you later, I can't do.

"And then Netflix <Speech_Male> shows up and he's wearing <Speech_Male> like <Speech_Male> Jean jacket <Speech_Male> shirts and <Speech_Male> like $2000 <Speech_Male> balenciaga shirts, <Speech_Male> so <SpeakerChange> I don't know. <Speech_Male> Well, so <Speech_Male> we had a huge discussion <Speech_Male> about this. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> I was talking with Colin <Speech_Male> before <Speech_Male> the <Speech_Male> Northern Trust, and we came <Speech_Male> up with this idea that <Speech_Male> he should <Speech_Male> wear suit <Speech_Male> to the Northern <Speech_Male> Trust because he was taking the <Silence> ferry over. And I was like, <Speech_Male> man, <Speech_Male> these other sports <Speech_Male> like MBA are <Speech_Male> able to show off their personality <Speech_Male> a little bit more, and I <Speech_Male> know that you guys are golfers, <Speech_Male> but your generation of <Speech_Male> golfers are the ones that <Speech_Male> we like. You guys are regular <Speech_Male> dudes, like you just said, <Speech_Male> you like to just <Speech_Male> chill and put the clubs away <Speech_Male> and you're a real <Speech_Male> person. You're <Speech_Male> not like, you're not the prototypical <Speech_Male> stereotypical <Speech_Male> golfer. And <Speech_Male> he ended up doing it <Speech_Male> mister cut. <SpeakerChange> So <Speech_Male> maybe the idea was bad. <Speech_Male> He did end up doing <Speech_Male> that. I did see that <Speech_Male> actually. So <Speech_Male> I think that there's this <Speech_Male> trend that maybe <Speech_Male> I started and <Speech_Male> I'm not going to I'm not fishing <Speech_Male> for compliments, but <Speech_Male> is that something <Speech_Male> that you would like <SpeakerChange> participate <Speech_Male> in, where it's <Speech_Male> like, I think <Speech_Male> it's weird that you wear <Speech_Male> the same thing <Speech_Male> from your living <Speech_Male> room to the coffee <Speech_Male> shop and then to the first <Speech_Male> tee. <Speech_Male> That's strange. If I <Speech_Male> saw you before you were around on <Speech_Male> Sunday, you're going <SpeakerChange> to be wearing the <Speech_Male> same outfit that I see you on <Speech_Male> TV. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> I would be about <Speech_Male> I think I own like <Speech_Male> one suit that I bought <Speech_Male> like 12 years <Speech_Male> ago, so I wouldn't go <Silence> suit, but <SpeakerChange> I'd probably <Speech_Male> go like, <Silence> you know, <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> sweater <Speech_Male> and I <Speech_Male> mean, I'm more of a chill, so <Speech_Male> probably like <SpeakerChange> sweater and <Speech_Male> sweatpants before <Speech_Male> they're out. And that would be <Speech_Male> awesome. We'd be like, look at Daniel <Speech_Male> Berger just showing <Speech_Male> up like this <Speech_Male> is just a whole home <Speech_Male> Sunday and then you go out and win <Speech_Male> the fucking golf tournament. <Speech_Male> That'd be amazing. <Speech_Male> And also, you'd actually <Speech_Male> be able to utilize these <Speech_Male> locker rooms that these <Speech_Male> PGA Tour venues <Speech_Male> built for you guys. <Speech_Male> What else is you <Speech_Male> guys going there and what? <Speech_Male> You give each other high <Speech_Male> 5s and you leave. You don't even <Speech_Male> get dressed. <SpeakerChange> There's no locker <Speech_Male> room aspect. Come on. <Speech_Male> The locker room is kind <Speech_Male> of a joke. There's usually <Speech_Male> like golf balls <SpeakerChange> and gloves <Speech_Male> in your locker. That's about <Speech_Male> it. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> We're trying to get this <Speech_Male> culture just <Speech_Male> a little bit more vibrant. <Speech_Male> Come on. <Silence> I like <SpeakerChange> the idea. <Speech_Male> Yeah. <Speech_Male> I like it. <Speech_Male> I think you show a little bit <Speech_Male> more. Frankie, you're trying <Speech_Male> to get this thing spread, <Speech_Male> and I respect <Speech_Male> it. <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> So <Speech_Male> just keep <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> all right, Daniel, well <Speech_Male> look, we appreciate it. We <Speech_Male> appreciate the time, defending <Speech_Male> champ, so <Speech_Male> big week, no pressure out <Speech_Male> there. You've defended <SpeakerChange> before, <Speech_Male> right? FedEx? <Speech_Male> FedEx. <Speech_Male> Won that <Speech_Male> one. So <Speech_Male> that would be a cool <Speech_Male> cool thing to do <Speech_Male> here this week. <Speech_Male> That'd be real cool. Well, <Speech_Male> good luck this week. <Silence> Play well. Thanks, boys. Appreciate it. Thanks, Dan. Thanks, man.

"Like the biggest thing that happens is Patrick Reed taking a bad drop, you know, or stuff like that. You know, there's not there's not like guys going out and getting arrested or taking the shirts off and leaving the golf course, mid round. But you should try that though. Give it a go. I could, I could. What he has planned, and that's why the producers are like, this guy's gonna be a fucking superstar. Dirt off at AT&T. No, I think you know overall though I think golf and this is our buddy Chad was telling us off the records we're gonna give you stories, but you know he was basically saying like, what's gonna make golf change and a lot of people's minds who are big golf fans, hopefully, is like normalizing people that are in people's brains like above being normal, right? And like you said, you fly in, you don't really do anything, you probably pretty normal. Do you like to be out on your boat in Florida, which pretty much everyone on earth likes to be out on a boat, in Florida? I think normalizing people and then all of a sudden you're inside the robes at iconic pebble beach, knocking down flag sticks on the smallest greens in the world. I think that juxtaposition to people with all the other contexts will be really cool. Yeah, I think you nailed it. I think that's what they're going for. And I think it's going to be I think it's going to be amazing for the game and golf. And a lot of people that maybe not haven't been golf fans are going to get into the game because of it, which I think is going to be awesome. What's like the biggest shot at pebble that intimidates you or that you think about it's got to be the 18th two shot. It's just so easy to sit there and hit one and just re T if you started too far left. But actually hit one last year I hit one out of bounds right. So I've done both. I've hit them left and I put them right there. But the hardest part is getting up the next day and hitting one after doing that. Yeah. It's such an awkward tee shot. It's really awkward. It's because like you said, you think the intimidation is on the left, but if you push one a little bit right, there's card path over there. There's OB quickly over there. It's a little dicey as a course with such small greens in the wind going. Do you do anything gearing up for this week or really focus on iron places? This is such a second shot kind of course. Yeah, I mean, I'm always bringing out. I've got this little GC quad. It's called the foresight. It's like a mini trackman that we take out there and all hit a ton of shots out on the golf course with actual practice rounds playing with it just to see how far my ball is going and I think that's made a big difference in the last year or so is being able to know how far I'm hitting it all the time, you know, because with track man it was a little tougher to set up behind the ball. Now you just take the foresight turn it on and put it next to your ball and you go. And I just think knowing how far you're hitting it all the time makes a big difference, especially with the conditions and the cold..

"By Cisco. For charity, no less. They are playing on the 17th hole at pebble beach. Ever heard of it? So you think art holds? Tread buried it. Tread burden in real life. It would take place on 7 nope, Cisco is making someone really hit a good golf shot here and we attempted it. And it's very difficult. And if someone, if someone succeeds on this all in one, I mean, it's a 181 185 yards shot into the wind going towards the ocean. Winds coming off the ocean. It's a tough golf shot. At the end of the day, if someone succeeds on this, they deserve $1 million for charity. And that's going to be awesome to watch. I love the fact that we're going to see real golf shots into this tool. Seven's a flip wedge, and anyone can get lucky with that. You're going to need to be a golfer and you need to you're going to need to hit a golf shot to win the $1 million Cisco for charity, hole in one challenge. Is it the 17th or the 7th? 17th, I'm pretty sure. That's what we played on. We attempted on the 17th. So if they gave us 17, and everyone else is on 7, then someone needs to pay because I hit a 150 shots on 17 simulator. And my arms are still reeling from the pain. 17 makes a lot more sense because that is an extremely difficult goal shop. So hard. Extremely difficult golf shot. Hey, tune in to CBS on Saturday. If it's 7, there we go. We're going to get a whole one. If it's 17, it's going to be tough. And also, if it's 7, someone needs to pay for us having to play on 17 for two hours. I don't think it's 7. I just heard you say 7 earlier, so I was confused. 17th hole, most likely. Tune in, 12 p.m. eastern standard time, CBS, February 5th, the $1 million hole in one for charity, presented by Cisco. How we doing?.

"What are you talking about Tiger Woods? People can go back and watch this on the Cisco WebEx. I was starting to tear up. I don't know why. You just, the way you described how he shapes his shot. Something was going on with my right eye, where it started to well, and I actually let it keep going 'cause I wanted one drop to fall. It would have been phenomenal podcasting. But you have such a way you described it. The imagery was amazing. I was picturing a slight breeze coming in and him going with it. Felt like a Pokémon. It is majestic. Like the way he talks about it is the majestic. You can paint that picture in your head and Tiger just like whistling that shot in there and just the most beautiful form. Keep that picture at you too on 12 stepping up be like, okay, a low cut 7 here we go just like spinning one up into the got it. Oh, I had no chance. I mean, so here's the funny thing. I'm walking off number 11. And he's gone first on every single hole, okay? And I tell Joey the color's like, I'm gonna take this damn tea back from you guys eventually. And so then on 12 he hits that shot, I'm like, yeah, I'm never gonna take this tea back. It's happening like maybe 14. I made birdie. And that was maybe a boogie that Tiger made. And I hit the T and hit never saw teed off first. And Joey's like, congrats on Tia. I wish it didn't happen that way, though. Didn't even give me. He made bogey. He didn't really earn it. You didn't really. Right. Something impressive young, young buck. Wow. Ah, that's awesome. I'm with Frankie, man. I got like, I'm getting the chills and where you're kind of talking about Tiger. No offense. He's the best. He's the best. You've played with Tiger Woods, which is awesome. And then now you're going to you're going to have to face the four man scramble at some point here. We here on this Cisco WebEx. These four faces here that you're seeing, we're a problem when we were put together. And how do you think that you would do in a match against us? We're three you know at all times? Is that what it is? Three O all time against Tor pros? Yeah. Kids Joel and pat. Kids Joel and pat, we absolutely put them to bed. Wow. And those guys are the three best shit talkers on tour. No doubt. And so clearly that's not going to be a factor. It's like against you guys. So the only factor is actually good play, apparently, or maybe is where adviser you'll throw your own self off. So maybe that's the handicap. Is everyone wearing this? I won't be able to hit golf ball. I think we might have to. I like that. I think it's visor for Pfizer. We have to make our own visor, you come in with your adviser, and we just, it's a battle to the death. I was going to say to be fair, pat took us to 18 kids took us to 18 and Joel just didn't have a great day. I don't even remember how far anyone. But it's not like an 80. We thought it was his brother like Dan Damon. Pretty much every single match. So we don't blow people out of the water. I know Frank he's trying to sell to you like we're the evil empire, but we're it comes down to the end usually..

"Eastern, and Frankie tried this. They came extremely close, simulated track, extremely close. How many feet? 5? Yeah, I probably was 5. I think there was something wrong with the simulator. It looked like it was like a foot and a half. But yeah, it was 5. And simulator, it was basically. Yeah, we were doing the gimmes. It was within the give me range. So that's all that matters on the sim. Yeah, so yeah, I'm a real big fan of Cisco. I wonder what Cisco stands for. And I don't know that I think Cisco stands for, or is that just the name? They based out of San Francisco. Oh, headquarters. Wow. I don't know that's correct, but I really like that your brain went that direction. You say that quarter San Jose Frankie? Yeah. You might be onto something. Oh, Jake, just put it in there. Cisco is short for San Francisco, Cisco is short. The city where Stanford computer scientists Leonard bosak and sandy learner founded the company in 1984. That's why Cisco in the early days both second learner insisted on branding products with the lower case Cisco. Wow, trek. Ryan. Good work. That is amazing. It's done. Yeah, they're that brand name that you just know. You know what I mean? And when it comes to their technology, their Silicon Valley, they're very much just they're the reason why these companies take it to the next level. And we are happy to be on Cisco products since Cisco WebEx is a delightful little video terminal, whatever we're going to as an official part of the USGA Cisco created the first ever connected course to keep fans connected and use WebEx by Cisco, which is what we are using to revolutionize how media connect with fans. Again, tune in for the $1 million hole in one for charity, presented by Cisco on Saturday, February 5th, CBS, 12 p.m. eastern standard time. When you played Cyprus, these boys have been able to experience it and we always, that's one of those courses for us. You just look online and you look at the pictures and you can't believe that that place exists. Riggs alerts were lucky enough to play it, but we always hear about that 16th hole of that long par three and everyone talks about how it's like the hardest hole on the planet. And how do you attack that hole? Are you really trying to, you know, is that an important hole for you to get Duncan so iconic? Are you really trying to what club are you using on that? Because I know rig says he could use a driver and still not make it there. Well, I thought about this yesterday, we're on 16. It reminds me of a hoopy where if that was a par four, it would people wouldn't think it was that hard, right? Because you could just hit a 7 iron over the side, chip it up on the green, or you could go for it, and then two plot for birdie. But since it says par three, it's like this is the hardest hole in the world. Because you're using it relative to par. But all you're trying to do is make the low score on the hole. It doesn't matter those apart 6 or 7. You're just trying to make the low score. So that is a great example of what I hope he does so well is that it just takes par out of the equation, right? Just who makes a lot of score. But I'm not saying 16 shouldn't have a par..

"Foreplay, presented by barstool sports, we have two guests on this show two great interviews with golfers, PGA Tour winners. We have Keith Mitchell first, and then we have Daniel Berger who's the defending champion at pebble beach this week. So boom, we're just cranking interviews lately to be honest with you. I think coming up very soon next week, we're gonna have a expert, a doctor in the art of basically the yips and neurological issues that translate to sports, which I don't know why we would have that on. I don't know if that's relevant. To anyone or anything here, but point as we get too big interviews here, colt was awesome on Tuesday's show. If you haven't seen that, go check it out. And then we got Keith Mitchell and Daniel Berger on this show, interview interview interview. Reminder to go subscribe to our YouTube channel. We're putting all of our hard work, our sweat, our tears, we got ebook, Jake bass, working really hard. Everybody's working really hard, putting these videos together, putting them out, putting them on YouTube, so if you subscribe, please subscribe to our YouTube channel for play golf, and then you're gonna get hit all the time with really cool videos that you're going to enjoy. Yeah, and something happened with the last one where it didn't get into the algorithm. It was like a copyright claim because of some sort of language that I use or something. I don't know. I think I said something about squirting and it stopped basically the final episode. The algorithm stream got stopped for a second. There was like a claim on the video and now it's been cleared. So now it's back into wherever it goes on YouTube. YouTube algorithm is a fucking crazy place. I don't know how it works. I don't know how it operates, but if you fuck it up for one second, you lose your stream. We're at like a 100,000 views. That video at band and dunes should have 400,000 views. That's how good of a match it is. That's how good of a golf course it is. Go watch it. If you haven't seen it pop up on your next suggested videos that's because something happened to the video. It happens every now and again. And then again, I'm going to plug the Disney episode is a fantastic fantastic episode. Wholesome. It's just wholesome. It's funny. It's great. It's us off the golf, of course, it's stuff that we want to start doing more. When we do the travel series, we want to start doing more stuff off the golf course and incorporate all the things you can do in the towns and the cities and we're starting to do that a lot. Disney was like everything encapsulated with that. So yeah, the YouTube page is in a good place and then keep an eye open Trent and I have not forgotten about it. We've been traveling a lot. We are going to do the hole in one challenge on PGA Tour two K. We're going to need all the money that goes into the super chat on YouTube..

"Strokes is he gonna win, James? Well, you're saying the Shawn sock, methodology of major champions. He's going to win by at least three strokes. I'm going to say he wins by four on Sunday with a birdie on the 18th. I'll take that, therefore, count as multiple majors. I believe that's still one major under the under the sock method. I'm not a 100% certain on that. But just one major for Daniel burger, but it comes at a gust of national. It comes by three strokes or more. Okay. Now it feels like it is maybe medium, you know, if we're on the spicy take a meter or there's mild, maybe barbecue somewhere in there. Then there's medium. All right, well, medium, medium to hot. Let me give some defensive my take right now. I think if you lined up ten ten golf amps on the street, ask them to name 20 PGA Tour players. Daniel Berger isn't one of them. I think that's fair. I know that's a new argument, Jay. No, no, no. It's not hurting my argument because this is about a prediction that people aren't thinking about. It's about zagging while others are zigging, all right? And that's exactly what I'm trying to do in this argument. Also in defense of his game at Augusta national, I would argue it's far more important to be a ball striker than to have the specific type of shot shape that he plays. I know that that is not Daniel's regular game and yeah, angles are important at Augusta and all of that. I'm completely sympathetic to that argument. But ultimately, you have to execute the shots irrespective of where you are. I don't think that his shot shape is going to be the thing that stands in the way of his winning. I really can't see that being the case, actually. I mean, look, you can come after me, all you want for this. I said, he's going to be the next first time major winner. I want you to take a look at the list of players who have not won a major currently on the PGA Tour. We're talking about, I'm putting them right over your boys, zander schauffele. I'm having him hop a few guys in the line, but I think it's I think it's perfectly reasonable. He's at the point in his career right now where he's ready to take that next step. But nobody is considering him to take that next step. So that's where I come in on this. You can argue with me about the Scoville unit of my take all you want. I'm happy to, you know, I'm happy to make an argument about it, but look, that's where I'm coming in. You ask for a bold prediction, and that's it. It would be fun. I mean, holy cow, if you could, if you had the opportunity to watch Daniel Berger come down the stretch, hitting those kind of low stingers all over the place. Start dreaming about Daniel Berger, straight vibing with his green jacket on his yacht. What he might serve as a masters champion, you know, for the 2023 dinner..

Us team didn't screwed up yet. This part sean It seems like they got it right. That's my first impression. All the picks made sense a lot of people including myself got swept up. Kevin nov fever for a moment but scotty chef is why did you allow yourself to swept up in kevin fever. That was that was remarkable absolutely crazy. Everyone gulf twitter was like this guy is going to be different. He's going to be the one who makes the clutch putts. Explain yourself. i issued a retraction before the picks came out that said i was in on shuffler out. Nah so i would just you know blame it on just a fever dream and you know. Kevin is very convincing. That he will be a pain in the ass matchplay when he's like walking in these pots on people when he's playing well down the stretch. He's played pretty well. The last couple of weeks played very well at the tour championship. So i think we overstate the value of walking in pots. Big maybe true but you know if someone else had won the tour championship or say even if the tour championship had been different format. Everyone started from zero and kevin won the tournament. I wonder if anyone would think about it any differently because that is effectively. What happened. I think a lot of people. Just give him credit for the way that he occasionally walks in putz. He's eighty seven seventh on tour. This past season in strokes gained putting barely above average. Why does he get so much credit for for making putts. You just said it. You know exactly why he was pesky at At the matchplay and then be just walks in all these cuts. And he's going he's going. He does seem like a guy. That's particularly streaky. With the putter. Hard for me to back that up with stats right now but again. That's either just the impression he gives off or it's reality and it's hard to say which one Well let's let's. Let's talk about the picks man we to tell the we ought to tell the people who are actually picked up. Okay okay okay. Three minutes into the podcast. And if you're listening to this without actually hearing the news apologies for that and the order from least to most surprising jordan speed. Yup least surprising. Four scher zander. Schlafly next time female. After that yes harris. English after that And then the final two. I would say the least surprising would be daniel berger being selected and then maybe the most surprising being scottish shuffler is that fair And he was probably the favorite to still get picked..

As i always show up his kennedy. Put the ball in the fairway. So that's something to look for this week doesn't sound like there's crazy rough out there. I know there's some Is knee-high rough. If you really get off but for the most part you can. You can't play from there but finished tied twelfth In twenty nine thousand nine so a little bit of course history there and then one other thing to look at is just that. Jd you turned it. On for the fedex cup playoffs. He's finished in the top seven. In the facts cup's final standings. The last four years going back to when you won the whole thing in two thousand seventeen so for me. He's a pass this week. I'd like to see a little more. Recent going to this like we talked about hasn't really shown too much since the players but will move right into the next guy. Yep yeah over to daniel berger at twenty one and he's been one of my favorite guys to bet on here in the last four weeks simply put together an unbelievable season. We talked about it a lot before. A saint jude. A couple of weeks ago We had that burger over decian ticket that cash on his way to a t five finished in your now. He's finished top ten and three of his last four events so as we look in specific how he's gone around liberty national in the past and going back to that presents come two thousand seventeen. He was another guy Well actually the only guy we've talked about so far. The last one was was was dj. Who went four zero one. One burger actually went undefeated That week at the two thousand seventeen presidents cup so this is gonna lead me right into my first head to head. Pick of the week with daniel. Berger over justin thomas at minus one oh five You know just thomas's reminded me kind of a lot of roy here over the past eight events. He has putted at times horrendous. Almost losing He's lost two shots to total shots field In to his last five events so odd still in his favor as far as putting goes. But i just think we talked about it with jt. In the favorites just a little too inconsistent So my i had the head is going to be daniel. Berger over just thomas minus one. Oh five onto my second Northern trust head to head of the week. i'm taking books kapka over pricey shambo at minus one. Oh five you know regardless that. These haven't played well enough in the same event to have a true notch. Plastic dual down the stretch of golf tournament. We get the opportunity here at the northern trust this week to take sides. I'm going with team brooks A lot of you will glance at some of the overall statistics between the two this year and see the bryson seventh in the fedex. Cup standings brooks's fifteen while no big deal The fact of the matter is in brooks's last six events he has four top ten finishes in three of which in majors So did have a terrible week at the fedex. St jude a couple of weeks ago actually lost me a ticket there. But you have to think that brooks checks his matchup every week just takes a quick quick glance at the books you know. We know. He loves his. Nfl nfl. picks his practice round gambling. Action with phil so seeing that he's up against bryson you know. I think the give should meet turns up for brooks and he brings it this week. As far as you know going against bryson finished outside the top twenty five in years last five events. So you know brooks was at the two thousand. Seventeen presidents cup went to in one Bryson doesn't have that experienced fall back on. And you know. I think brooks are gonna win us. This ticket this week in the disappoint us with some cheesy instagram video. Dissing bryson while he drinks a godawful. Nick global tra. Yeah i'm also going team brooks's while i'm doing brooks kept over zander. Shaath fleet in my head. That's plus one twenty five and you know not now Get too complicated to see these two players really at the same level so the fact that i'm getting lost one. Twenty five is a little bit of value even if they were going to a play off. Eight the tide in this tournament. they're going into sudden death playoff. I feel like brooks would be would be favored. The only reason. I feel like brooks is. We're getting that positive number. At plus twenty five is brooks's kind of a up and down year. It's like either finishes top five. Or mrs tutt so in terms of this head to head. It's kinda nice knowing Use really kind of in control of this thing. And i think we'll know pretty early brooks brooks each has a first round. He's normally in it till the end. So that's my first one brooks over zander. Plus one twenty five and then for my second one. I'm doing destined johnson over. Jon rahm plus one sixty. I just feel like they are completely disrespecting. Dj with this line. He's defending champion. Yes it's a different golf course. But i'm sure they got the same t markers in your walk into this. It was pretty good vibes. Obviously after winning by eleven last year and in terms of you know he's really playing wellness. Part of the country doesn't have a ton of wins of in the northeast of of the us year. At honestly i don't think dj should really be much of a dog to anyone but plus a plus one sixty like we're talking about ton of value there and like you talked about you know with the course history went for on one back in twenty seventeen always gotta beat his john rama. I think he can do it. Yes so onto. Our northern trust trust picks to place This week i'll start off.

I think he would basically injured back. Injury results mean a lot better recently on on the side of that answer. He's one of sixty nine. This building strokes gained on links courses.
