"In his thoughts on the world of NFTs and crypto. Peter saputo, welcome to mint, long time coming. How are you doing? Thanks for being on. Yeah, I'm doing great. Thank you for having me. I'm excited to have you. I'm a collector of yours. I really enjoy music and I remember towards the end of season 6. We were just kicking it. I think at one of the LA creator houses and crypto, I forgot which one we should run an episode out of this project coming up and you sold me on this idea and really got to tap into the way you think. And I was like, wow, this kid really gets it. This kid. Not a kid. And I was like, all right, this is cool. We should run it. So I'm excited to have you on Peter. Peter, the 30 seconds. Who are you then? Give us a quick intro. Yo, Peter. Make a music produce out of my studio at home in Los Angeles and just been making music for as long as I can remember. And recently got into web three over the last year. is just living life, trying to make music and have fun. Let's go. Live in life. Live in life and web three, how did you get into web three? What is that story? I did. So I got into crypto. They started investing in crypto kind of beginning of quarantine. And kind of didn't experiment with any NFTs or anything, did not have the energy to pay attention to any of that stuff. I was going on. And I just randomly had a friend come over, kind of once we could socialize again. And he was, he was actually hyping me up on Daniel Allen's overstimulated project. And he's like, dude, I don't know if you've heard of music NFTs or dows or anything, but like you should really like, you know, get into this stuff like this, this could be a way that you could kind of fund your life essentially. And your music and whatever, and I was very skeptical to be completely honest. That was like, this is too good to be true and whatnot, but literally here we are. We made it through. So it's kind of wild. But yeah, I honestly hit up like a manager and asked them

"Stuff, right? Like I can't explain the rest of it to them. You know, and so until we're at a place where we can explain what they're even doing to our normie Friends, I just don't know that we're ready yet. All right, I'll counter it. I think music NFTs fall on a very similar category. Everybody understood art, but many people didn't understand the concept of collecting music. And it took a village of a few thousand collectors to prove other people wrong. And now we're seeing music NFTs as a collectible quote unquote asset class, doing really, really well. And artist, even though it's like 1.25 eth, but they're doing that in raising it on a consistent basis. You have like you have artists like Daniel Allen a real Cragen racking in a 110 eth in a matter of like a few days, you know, for their criteria drop and people starting to understand the value of collectible music, you know? And that took a village. It took a few companies. It took funds betting on entrepreneurs to create the platforms in the primitives to enable that energy. And then it took a bunch of ship posters to tweet music NFTs for it to appear on everybody's timeline to make it seem like something is going on here. That's worth paying attention to. So I don't see why we can't do that with content, why we can't do that with podcasts. I think we can. I think we can, but I think that that's what it's going to take. You know, it's going to take what you just said. It's going to take a village. It's going to take a few funds coming in and investing in podcasts. It's going to take all of those things. And none of that has happened yet. Shows you how early we are. Zoom out. It's still early. So what other things are on top of your mind that you think about as a creator in the web three landscape? Oh man.

"I know a lot of musicians since I was a kid and I love music right and I was on Spotify all the time. I think when you look at the difference of the culture of the sounds, like the art itself and the content itself, it's different. It's a counterculture within its counterculture already because it's like the under August of the new system. It's like, it's the new business model. It's the next generation of artists, the independents. But the sounds, the content that's coming out is also new, different. Cooler, the counterculture, right? Listen to Daniel Allen with Rio, gorgeous, right, listening to what real just dropped the frameworks and what Daniel did with glass house. Listen to Natasha out there. Listen to bloody white. The sounds they're making. Oh, this is that person over here. It's completely new sounds. It's completely new genres like the content because it's like it's such a new generation and the creative freedom. It's because of the way it works, they don't have to enter the existing system and be influenced by whatever agency. It's the full creative control. It's the full control of your content. It's the ownership. It's the upstream, that kind of not worrying about the upstream distribution and letting it come to you and it is changing the culture of the content we create and they can feel be more freely. Some of my favorite tweets are things that are like, I would never have created and put that to me that song out and it's my favorite song and I love it and I don't think I ever would have gotten to get to that point to make that song or do that if I didn't if I wasn't focusing on music NFTs. It's enabling is enabling an even better culture and environment to create it, which is like making the sounds and the content even better. What's up guys, thank you for listening. If you've gotten this far,

"Algorithms to build followers in a viral setting like that's a whole new market to tap into short form content. That's worth collecting. I think the most prevailing example is looking at memes memes that get virality and get a lot of views and a lot of attention to become one with culture, right? The memes of culture, those are probably worth collecting as well. But there aren't markets for that. The markets aren't yet completely ascribed just yet, right? So I'm trying to think about it comes down to education onboarding, maybe it comes down to more like successful case studies, right? I'd argue that seeing Daniel Allen kind of like take off in the music space, has motivated a lot of other musicians to enter the space, seeing what he did in 48 hours, right? Opened up the mines and creativity for many labels, many independent artists and everything in between. So kind of getting more of these case studies out there of like a successful short form content creator and a successful podcaster and a successful videographer and a successful cook, right? Like a chef that wants to create a cookbook and wants to sell ebooks via NFTs, right? I think it's documenting that through education and then providing the right pipelines for onboarding. That could stimulate. If you look at the way that quotes often happens, it comes from people replicating things that they've seen work elsewhere, whether it's the different models we saw with profile picture NFTs and identities mapping over to music NFTs and people experimenting with similar models around one O one versus multi print editions to people replicating successes of people that either autos that are doing similar things to them. I think sometimes that replication works and like a model that's proven to work in one context all in one form of media does map of it to another. But at the time, we need to find tweaks on the structure of the release and the NFT. It's maybe more suited to the kind of content being released. And I think that I still feel like the place to be looking in order to find the evolutions to how releases should look like for new forms of content and for new mediums. We should be looking at those underlying value propositions like reasons why people collect and why people get value out of collecting to help find what needs to evolve as we kind of spread to new mediums and new kinds of contents and relationships between collectors and their NFT base. What's up guys? Thank you for listening.

I had an internship. The summer my junior year in college at national review magazine nineteen ninety-two. That was the year that people were really starting to look at data on income inequality and i remember sitting in editorial meetings and people were work shopping. The data and i you know was kind of an effort to find a way for it not to be there. Obviously it was there And it's about what it meant and the take that was coming out of the meeting was that it was okay that income inequality was increasing as long as you could think that down the line. You know people's kids grandkids would would be okay that there were still mobility and that just seemed really wrong to me. As i was sitting in those meetings i thought it was really important for our political chutian to be focused on everybody's well being in the present. It wasn't enough of punch to the future. Washed a little post on YouTube last night from somebody interviewing Alan Dershowitz. And he said. Donald Trump is not guilty of anything to be impeached in the first place. He was not guilty of treason, bribery or any other high crimes and misdemeanors. There was no gathering of information. There was nothing of that This was purely political theater, and he said it was against the Constitution. And he also said that if they You a trial after he has left office. It is called a bill of attainder that is totally against the Constitution. 100% And he, uh It's my opinion. That we are so far from the Constitution that we can't see it with a 500 Power telescope. I mean, Yes, I don't know. I'm so frustrated with what has happened over the last month, two months, but I can hardly even speak. No, I get it. Dershowitz, Of course, a lifelong Democrat who happens to revere the Constitution, one of the few left And he's absolutely right. The Constitution don't forget. Impeachment is a political Tool. High crimes and misdemeanors have been vaguely defined. Um and Like I said they have topped the show. The Democrats are mainstreaming using impeachment instead of a tool of last resort. It's just gonna be commonplace. If you don't like the sitting president and you have control over the house. You're going to impeach And it will become a worthless mechanism. That's only going to be another tool to keep us at each other's throats. And you can thank the socialist for that, as you can thank all of the loss of decorum and civility in this country. To them because they are the ones who will blame us for daring to disagree with them when we used to call that debate, But Dershowitz is right on the the premise. Of that. And you know what? Now we're finding out. Harold, I don't know if you saw this last week, because if you were watching the mainstream press, they probably didn't report it. Catherine Herridge of CBS News reporting. The timeline doesn't match up the president Trump was speaking while the attacks in the Capitol and DNC and the RNC we're going on. Yeah, I thought I saw that. That really interesting He was. How could he be inciting a riot? It was the F B. I is now saying that they riot was planned and they had information intelligence that it was planned that the day before they had that intelligence. So how can President Trump be responsible for inciting a riot? It was planned out before. Well, That's what there's who had said he can't be. Convicted on something that he didn't say in the first place. Exactly Did you know that Nancy Pelosi, Nick and endless Cheney? They neglected to include the language, the specific language, which, by the way, incitement to riot requires that you articulate The specific language that was inciting. They didn't include that in the articles of impeachment. You know why It's not there because it's not There. This is a political move. And by the way, the folks in the press I would challenge anyone of you folks in the press to show me the inciting violence that inside inside of that riot. On on Capitol Hill. It's not there, and that's why the congressman didn't include it. They said he lied when he talked about all this stuff that was going on with the election, but I watched everything that was posted on were made on YouTube. I watched every legislative Committee hearings and all this stuff of all the six states. Trump was not lying. No, I didn't say he didn't lie. And if lying was impeachable, then why wasn't Barack Obama Hey, lied about shovel ready jobs. He lied about liking your doctor. Keeping your doctor liking your plan. Keeping your plan I mean, if if lying is impeachable and cause for removal than half of Washington would be out of work over half of Washington. Yeah, right..

"Companies that choose to profit from such catastrophe. Mm hmm. Thanks. How about the walls of waste of money? Garret? We heard that before, too. I'm here to say no to Trump's border wall that it is wrong that it is a waste of money. We should be investing in in public education funding. We should be investing in infrastructure. We should be investing in mobility and transit. Mobility. So and again. This is the double standard. That's there. Just like you know, Nancy can go get her hair done without wearing a mask. Even when nobody else could. And Gavin Newsom can go hang out with people that are related to him that I live in his household. We could have a dinner party with like 12 or 20 of them and go have a good time. I mean, the hypocrisy is all there, and that's what they were saying. Well, you know what I mean? The border wall is just a waste, but this wall is needed. Wait, wait. It's not just that. It's a waste of money. You It's also cleaning the walls. Not going toe work. Trump's supporters of the ones that are bad. They're the ones that are terrible s so therefore they're trying to make all of us out to be domestic terrorists. And that's why they need to do this. Of course again. Now that say, Keep domestic terrorist that you build the wall. But if you know the wall on the southern border to make sure terrorist, don't cross it. You're racist. Waste of money doesn't work. The 30 FT Wall won't work, but the 8 FT Wall that's fence. With razor wire on top that that'll do the trick. That'll do it. This is all to make us look like we're crazy people.
