"Would have won a breeder's cup mile, had it not been for the brutal injury that suffered the lancer suffered. And perhaps making on overdoing the waiting tactics just a little bit for all the canon was an absolute legend. That was not one of his finest hours. And even with that, if he'd gone sooner, it could have been an absolute disaster, because lancer, when he broke down, he might have been completely wiped out by him. And it could have been an even worse tragedy. But you look back at that. I mean, he should have, he should have been, he was a better horse than don't drive her and he should have won that race. Bred by Aden and Marie and Marie's father Joe Crowley. And a damn good stallion. Like a really you could sleep on them, but he was a really good stallion, 16 group one winners, mount Nelson society rock. And I don't think it's a coincidence that suddenly blackbeard is retired. Basically the day rocket Gibraltar dies because blackbeard is a dual group one winning two year old. And the point on the cool more brochure about George Washington. Was that like rock of Gibraltar, George Washington retiring to stud was a dual group one winning two year old by Dane hill. And he proved to be infertile, so they whipped Holy Roman Emperor out of training and in the brain was devastated about that because he was in full training for the guineas. And suddenly a horse box turned up. With George Washington in it, right, you've got George back, but we're taking Holy Roman Emperor. And Aiden did not want that. But commercial interests are always going to take precedent. And so Holy Roman Emperor was retired. It wasn't retired as a two year old, was retired when in full work as a three year old, to replace George Washington, and to give the breeders the option of choosing him instead. And I wonder this injury the blackbeard has suffered. It's a chip bone which would take him out for a good few months, but it wasn't career threatening. And he ends up retiring to study and I just wonder if the reason for that is, first of all, Luxembourg is not going to retire. He comes back next year. And BlackBerry was obviously a very, very different type, but he is a dual group one winning two year old. Do you think that that has had the real effect as to why blackbeard was retired to replace rock of Gibraltar? Very possibly a consideration, isn't it? There's also, suppose the consideration that blackbeard had a lot of racing as a two year old and as a really, really good two year old. And I just wonder if I think it will actually could he go on as a three year old? Could he achieve much more? As an early type and early developing type, he maybe wouldn't have as much scope as one or two others in the yard so that's maybe a consideration as well, essentially retiring him when he's kind of at least two year old. Peak, just touching back on a rock of Gibraltar. You know, I can still see him finishing like a train at Arlington park in that rediscover mile. What power racing has to evoke memories of things and places you were and things that you've done. That's one of the reasons that I love racing so much because nearly all the top horses that have won top races, I can equate them to something that was happening in my life and it's really only racing that kind of as the power to bring back those memories and I realized I'm going off on a little bit of a tangent here but when rock of Gibraltar won that epic battle against hawkwing in the 2000 guineas, my son was just turned two years old and we were on our very first family holiday to the Sunni climbs of great yammer. And I broke away from the joys of the fun fair on the sea from the great arm of to watch the 2000 guineas in a coral shop great yarmouth and that epic battle when rock of Gibraltar was on one side of the track, wasn't he? And hawkwing was on the other and did Jamie Spencer overdo the waiting tactics. Everyone came out of that race thinking all Queen was the better horse and yet rock of Gibraltar he just became he almost became the second iron horse, didn't he? After giants causeway. And he's one of the horses that he just brings to mind certain memories, and that's what I love about racing. The fact that racing has the power to look these memories that you've got sold away somewhere at the back of your head and you've not thought about. And I haven't thought about this family holiday to great now with for years. And then we start talking about rocket Gibraltar and that 2000 guineas win and suddenly everything's thrown to the fall from like it was yesterday and that's why I love racing and the top horses in the top races. I distinctly remember being I was working in a bar and it was my final year in school.

"Sweeten the pot for you, play Golden Gate fields today and get ten times points. No need to opt in just bet and get ten rewards points for every dollar you bet with your nyra bets account on the online selected races or how about this and are tomorrow's breeders cup prep bankroll builder earn a $20 bonus per race win or lose by betting exactly a $50 X ACTA in any or all of the selected races online, of course you can watch all the action this weekend on FS two. It's on tomorrow 1230 to four 30, then back from 6 to 6 30. And then on Sunday from 9 30 to ten 30 in the morning, they have special Arc de Triomphe coverage. That should be fun, full field of 20, I believe, entered in Europe's most prestigious race. All right, Dave. There were so many graded stakes this weekend that we couldn't cover them all, but we're getting most of them in, including three graded stakes on the Sunday aqueduct card, the 7th raised Sunday is the $200,000 grade three wire for Phillies and mayors going a mile and three eighths on the turf. We've got a field of 8 going to post here where jammed up. I think it's a good race. I think there are several ways you can go. I ended up with sheree devoe's Costa number 6. One big fig, last race is terrific, a third place effort behind Virginia joy and warlike goddess in the flower bowl. I think a repeat of that wins here. I like the trainer a great deal. I like the jockey. I think this is well placed. But if Costa runs any of the first 6 races of her career, probably not good enough. And I think Chad brown's capital structure for stables on the rail is very viable in here, has some top things, though they came a year or so ago is stepping back up in class, but has beaten Costa and I think fits nicely in here, flirting bridge for Brendan Walsh. Last two, I don't love a second and third place efforts at parks and woodbine, but I think the win at Churchill downs in May was terrific and I think flirting bridge fits nicely in here. And if you're looking for a dart toss Chad's other horse, you get a nice price on rocky sky 5 to one who should be closing if there's tempo. All right, so your top pick again is which one? 6 Costa. All right. Three to one for cheri devoe and Jose lescano. I went to the favorite flirting bridge. It was a little bit surprised that she was two to one on the morning line. I thought it was kind of a wide open event. Maybe it's just the fact that flavian Pratt is a board and she did run third and agreed to event last time out. I don't really think she's any better or worse than some of the others in this field and there is a question mark with her going the myelin three eighths as she's never been this far. She's bred to run forever. Being by Camelot out of a Dane hill dancer mayor, but so far, she's been more of a mile to a mile in an 8th type, closing at a mile in an 8th last time, it doesn't necessarily mean she's going to love a mile in three eighths. I picked her on top at two to one. It's not somewhere that I would be a heavy player on. I do think she is certainly one of the ones to beat in the grade three wire. 8th race on Sunday is the grade one $400,000 frozen for two year old Phillies going a one turn mile on the main track. We've got a good field of 7 here, Dave. And the morning line favorite is number four chocolate gelato boy, a repeat of her last race figure wise certainly makes her the one to beat. Yeah, I told myself I wanted four to one a number 6 the great maybe and morning line is 7 to two. So I'm going to be watching as they load into the gate to see what the price is. But if I don't get four to one on the great maybe, it's going to be chocolate gelato. It's sort of stunning that this is not a Bobby Frey horse. This is a Todd pletcher Mike polley, horse $475,000 daughter of practical joke. The debut at Saratoga going 5 and a half in July, went off as a heavy favored ran so, so, but that race has come back pretty good, and then last time was just a monster winner by over 8 lengths at Saratoga. Everybody except number 5, the Dario stretching out in here. And I see no reason that chocolate gelato shouldn't stretch out. I do like the great maybe for shari Devo, who I thought was a terrific debut winner at Saratoga. Didn't get out of the gate well and just absolutely rolled by what I think at this point is a jury is still out on how good that field was, but posted a good fig, not nearly as good as chocolate gelato. It's those two to me. Though I'm a little interested, I'm not going to bet, but a little interested to watch, leave no trace number one for Phil SERP, who's two for two and won the grade one spin away last time, but neither race is overly impressive. They're not particularly fast races, but the work on September 25th is a bullet variety and a leave no trace might be able to run a little bit. Okay, I'm going to pick chocolate gelato as well. Listen, her last race is better than these doesn't necessarily mean she's going to run that well again. But being out of a candy ride mayor, I think that she may be more than a few of the others in this field are bred to handle a little bit longer distance than what she's been running thus far. And she's going to have to deal with that, although one turned mile a lot of people don't look at it as a route. They look at it more of a longer sprint. Either way, if chocolate gelato runs close to the way she did last time out, somebody's going to really have to improve the beater. I don't know if I want to take a short price. 9 to 5 seems fair. I have a feeling she's going to be closer to even money when the figs come back. And even money, I don't know if I want to take a big shot on her. She's good. But that's a pretty low price to take. Probably not going to have any even money shots in the 9th race on the card Sunday. It is the grade two $200,000 pilgrim for two year olds going a mile and a 16th on the outer turf. Now there is a heavy favorite on the morning line day, which surprised me a little

"$2 prices here, exact a $35, the tri 82 20 and the super $277 and 20 cents. Before we go to break, we're going to get one more live racing. Horses are on the track and warming up for the 9th race on the card at Saratoga. By the way, they have ten races on the card at Saratoga today. So we won't be able to get you there tenth race, but this 9th race is a 5 and a half furlong turf sprint for New York bread made in Phillies and mayors in for a $40,000 tag. There were 15 entered in this race 5 of them have come out so quick math. That sounds like ten to me. I did complete at least preschool. So I'm pretty good with those. Oh, I'm just kidding. Actually, this is a sick way of telling people that I'm good at math, but I'm very good at staring at tote boards and telling you within about 20 seconds what horses will play will pay to place and show if you need me to do it. So like a human calculator when it comes to degeneracy is what it is. I don't know. I don't know if sharp will want to market me in that way. The way any of you have that horse racing, I don't know if they called him the horse racing calculator or something that sharper image used to sell. And it was, it was a stunk, really. But what it was was you would kind of enter all these statistical things for horses into it, and it was supposed to tell you who was going to win. But what it basically told you was it would average out whatever horse on average had the most earnings per start, that was the top pick according to the sharper image horse handicapper calculator, whatever. I don't know why I had one of these when I was a kid. Probably other kids are hoping that their parents buy them baseball gloves and things like that. I wanted the horse racing calculator from sharper image. I don't know. But I wouldn't go buy it. I'm sure you could find them on eBay right now. Anyway, ten of them going to go 5 and a half furlongs on the turf in this 9th race at Saratoga. Three of them vying for favoritism right now all between 5 to two and 7 to the one smoking hot kitty three cool cats and kittens and 5 Eli dancer all right there in that range of being the favorite Eli dancers, the slight favorite right now, she's trying the turf for the first time. She's by alpha out of a Dane hill dancer mayor. I would think a little bit more turf breeding on the damn side just out of that with Dane hill dancer there with she being an Irish bred herself. But not overwhelming turf breeding for Eli dancer who ran well in her debut at fairgrounds and not so good last time out at Belmont partner. She is getting Lasix for the first time today, so she could have bled in her last race. She really went from being up close to stopping very badly in the race and maybe that's what happened. Maybe she bled in the race and she'll run better today and it's something you can draw a line through. I would say this of those three I would prefer number one smoking hot kitty who has been she's coming out of a race going that one turn mile on the turf at Belmont and she finished third that day. When in the Christoph Clement barn, she was 9 to 5 actually the second choice in the race to Philly who finished just ahead of her hour Jessica already came back and got her maiden win in her very next start smoking hot kitty goes from Christoph Clement to Linda rice overall Clement a higher percentage trainer than Linda rice. But this is a spot where Linda rice excels these first off to claim type she's winning right at about a 20% clip. And in the money about 50% of the time. So I would think that smoking hot kitty has a big, big chance in here. Don't love the rail post going 5 and a half furlongs when it's a big field of ten like this. But I expect smoking hot kitty to drop back and try to close anyway, so maybe she can save ground and weave through traffic and find her way through on the turn. The other one is number three cool cats and kittens. That's the other one they're betting right now. She ran second against basically the same level of competition back in late May at Belmont park. Good enough that they tried her in a maiden special weight race against New York breads in her most recent start and she faded pretty badly in that race. So back down in for a tag and one of the old sayings and racing, the best hop is the drop and a lot of people think the best drop is going from maiden special to a maiden claiming event, even if it's as high as a maiden 40s. So cool cats and kittens probably facing a little bit softer today than what you saw in her last start. Right now, Eli dancer remains the favorite at two to one cool cats and kittens three to one and my top selection smoking hot kitty is right there at 7 to two on the board as these Phillies and mayors arrive at the starting gate and just a quick answer. By the way, a couple of rider changes here Javier castellano picks up the mount on number 6 Sarah's splendor. Trevor McCarthy writing number 7 ace up her sleeve big long shot there for trainer Steve places. They are double loading for this 5 and a half furlong affair. By the way, there was one of the also eligibles that drew in galley head who was a number 11 first of the AEs drew in for owner trainer Roy luhrmann Ricardo Santana junior aboard. By the way, there is a jock off one of these horses and trying to figure out I think it's Eric cancel the writer of number 9 one journey. In fact, it is. She's the first time starter. She went in very quickly, so Eric cancel will climb aboard inside the starting gate. Last few runners are going in. Up to the outside, we'll hand it off to John embryo. Here's race 9 at Saratoga.

"A noble style for Charlie appleby, you had Holloway boy for Karl Burke and commissioning for John colston. I like that. I like that a lot. I have three. The first of them is thornburg for Joseph O'Brien has had one start so far. It's very well entered up. That was a leopard stone. I really like that performance. One by a length and a quarter that day. She's beautifully bred. She's from the first crop of Saxon warrior out of a downhill dancer mayor. And Joseph is given her entries in the futurity stakes, the debutante, the Mueller stud and the Phillies mile. I'm very intrigued to see where she goes. You must really like this one because that's back to back podcasts, that horse has come out your mouth. That's right. That's right. Yeah, I've got to mention with Lena as well. No, I really like that performance. I was very taken with it. And I think she's going to go far. Cue her getting beaten 50 links down her next start. Let's see how that plays out. His brother has got proud and regal for cool more. A Galileo out of a Dane hill mayor. Obviously we were talking about the fact that Galileo is currently 44th on the size list, which is not exactly what you would be expecting of Galileo, but it just, I think he's on 3 million in prize money, but the performances aren't really there. Yeah, it's a bit nuts to see him down that far. I remember looking at it on TDN on the Cyrus list and going hang on a second if I click something else here. Have I missed him? Was he there in the top ten, and I didn't see it? There he was at 44. You just don't expect that with Galileo. But proud and regal has won, he was a surprise winner at the Cora, 16 to one shot, and then Gavin Roman was on board when he beat helsing. On his second start and there didn't seem to be an awful lot of market confidence in him that day either. That was a group three company. He'd be the source helsing, I know the jure lines, things quite a bit of him. I was paying a lot of attention to that race because I was very intrigued in age of kings. And again, he came up short. And I wonder if it's just the case of pride and regal is so much better. And I haven't seen a whole lot said about him. And he's incredibly well entered up for security stakes. That group two juvenile race and Irish champions weekend, the Vincent de Bruyne national stakes, the royal large and the dewhurst as well. So he's got all the right entries. He's also got a Darby entry, but that doesn't count. And speaking of horses who may very well be Derby prospects, I mean, this one is blatantly obvious. He costs €440,000 as a yearling and absolutely bolted up on debut and then buried Ryan Moore. Into the turf, as he was trying to pull him up and that's Denmark who also has got all the right entries and they've put him in that race on our champions weekend as well. The KPMG champions juvenile rice wasn't always a race that cool more interested in, but there certainly are these days. The royal lodge and the Jews as well as the futurity stakes as well. And he has an entry in the national stakes for all that will be unlikely he will take that engagement up. He's a Camelot out of board meeting, beautifully bred, that performance. He did wear a tongue tie on debut, which was a bit of a concern to me, but that performance was really breathtaking. And Denmark is very just a little one on Denmark. He's a big strapping horse, but he was very green but first time out and I was reading the post race comments. You could tell it was it was first day of school for him almost. They'll be playing the long game with him. He looks good Derby horse. I've just like to see him stick his head down next time. Even more was just head up into the air. I'd like to see him really, really run through the line. It was an unusual head courage to see on a horse that would be given they won't have, as you said, they want the gun won't have been to his head, but it was unusual to see him he kind of switched the tail a little bit as well. But he

"I hadn't realized that if I did that it was so far down the table, but he's given he's given the racing world so much. You know, there was a kind of progeny countless group on winners that he's given us so yeah, it's interesting, but I couldn't put it down to an exact and exact point. Yeah, neither could I, but I think it's an interesting thing to explore. And perhaps perhaps in racing, we just take things a little bit for granted. I know it's something that can be quite easily done that you're focused on from my perspective, we're focused on race to race as we're previewing races on the final for long and indeed on racing love and talks for you as well. I've always been fascinated by stallions. I think the breeding industry was something that really captured my imagination at a young age and perhaps that's another reason why I became such a big fan of this sport. And started this, thankfully, which God will continue to go well. But it is incredible to look at his recording just looking at the TDN database. No one in ever is just behind Galileo for the season and we were just talking about how great none had ever. So maybe we should give Galileo a little bit of slack. Given the fact that we've only got a two years of racing left, we've got a crop next year in the crop. The next season, and that's it. They don't make them like that in the Galileo. So yes, it's quite extraordinary. But just using the TDN database, so we've got Nathaniel. From the Galileo line in tallow, Glenn eagles, Australia, Churchill, obviously he's going to be hugely important going forward. You would imagine we're going to miss out on a couple here. And obviously the king of them is frankl. But as I say, he's the king of them. He's currently 6th overall dark angel leading the way kodiak. So is that an indication that we were talking on the final for long earlier in the season about how the surprise Darby winner who was sold to Lloyd Williams to go for the Melbourne cup has been gilded. I was like, a Darby winner? Gelded, and it does start to raise a few eyebrows and ask questions, but he used to be honest godolphin Johnson will just continue to call him that. Good old John on Twitter. Who's surprisingly works for godolphin? He made the point to me that, well, there's just too many sons of Galileo at start. And looking at the list here, this is the top 50. Obviously Galileo is still hugely important, but clearly the industry as you alluded to given his fee have started to look elsewhere. And you're now looking at an acclamation in dark angel, a Dane hill and kodiak, a Chamberlain Los de Vega, a Dubai millennium in Dubai. There are the top 5 currently that I'm looking at on TDN for leading stars in Europe. I should stress, by the way, that's leading stars in Europe when you start to factor in North America. It gets it gets a little bit more tricky and expands a bit more. But for the purposes of this and the fact that our citizenship is mostly Europe, that's intriguing that the industry seems to be moving away from that particular northern dancer line and looking elsewhere. And I guess that's the story of breeding. You have to either you adapt or you die. And it's to the advantage of those who have dark angels, kodiaks, love to Vegas. Going into the sales that they'll be loving life right now. Yeah, definitely. You know, I think I also, you know, obviously they've got on the mayor's side as well. You do have look because Galileo is such a great brood Marissa as well. And obviously, you know, Dan hill is a fantasy brand where I saw and there's all these things that you've got to factor as well as it's not just sorry that you use, but it's what's on the downside and you kind of have to find the neck there and obviously you don't one thing that I was always taught was to breed physical physics to fit your marriage to your son as in like if she's incorrect in any way you try and counteract that with a very correct style and you know if you've got a small mayor that's not particularly pretty then you'd send them to a solid who's could put a bit of looks into it into a fold and things like that. So that was always something that was kind of drilled into me was not just breeding nicks, but also creating suit your mayor. Also, I think, you know, as well, while Galileo was a fantastic song of two year olds, you know, they weren't, you know, not necessarily they weren't always the most precocious. Obviously, there were horses that were very precocious, the two year old I got a Leo, but you know the kodiaks. I mean, he's known as the sorrow of two year olds. Dark angel again and there's a number of Cyrus there that we're known to kind of give you the precocity. So there was a few years there were people who were really breeding to suit the two year old market. So that's why we know the factor as well. Finding the perfect project manager isn't easy. But at upwork, we found him.

"Amounts of rain on the dirt track, the truck can be what we call washed away, which means that the majority of the dirt actually washes away and the horses have got no real cushion to run on. And by all accounts, that's what happened at Monmouth that evening that most of the top layer of the dirt had been washed away and there was barely an inch off to down to The Rock hard surface underneath and horses were currently going through it and pearl George Washington. He broke down, didn't he and unfortunately that was the last we saw, but the conditions were absolutely horrendous that night at Monmouth and as I say the dirt track, it was hard enough for horses that were bred to go on that kind of surface. But when you take a horse on its first try there, never run on the surface before not bread to go on the surface and appeared the ultimate price in the end. Yeah, it was pretty brutal. He was what a horse may son of Dane hill. To be a dual group one winner at two, and then a classic winner, like he had everything that you could have wanted as a pedigree and I remember O'Brien was extremely annoyed at what happened because they were getting Holy Roman Emperor ready for the guineas. And the next thing the truck arrived. And it was George Washington getting off and give us Holy Roman Emperor because they needed a dual group one winning juvenile who was a son of Dane hill to replace him. And that's what they did. They swapped out the two. So George went back into training. And. Holy Roman Emperor went to stud. And the plan was to eventually a little bit like with. Star-Spangled Banner, bringing him back into training. And then retiring him. The idea of just trying to freshen him up hopefully then the fertility will sort itself out and you can come back, but it didn't work out. He was at least we have one, at least the bloodline continues in some way because he really was a champion. You were going to say something but Guinea's day? Yeah, I thought he was tremendous on Guinea's day. I really was, I mean, you wouldn't hear of defeat for him that day, would you? And he was superb that day. And as I say, it's just a massive, massive shame the way it ended up with him but just going back to classic here. Classic could. He could be very well named, couldn't he? Looking at that. Now that you mentioned it, you know, because the breeders could plastic. You know, Kevin rang me that night. And he was out drinking with Jamie heffernan. Obviously, she wasn't drinking because he couldn't. And they didn't know. And he was asking to find out what had happened with George. Where had he finished? And I had to look up the race would have been a broadband router that you have to connect to your laptop because there wasn't Wi-Fi that we have to do that back in 2006. It can be quite remember. But I think we're probably just a 2007. It probably was like a landline connected to it. And I got that line out to Kevin. Oh my goodness, he's died. They had to put him down. I managed to get that out and hung up the phone and after effectively I was telling shame heaven, which was just insane. And after that, I just bold. I burst into tears. Because you develop a connection with these horses. And look, if you don't, not everybody's going to be like that. But I love a bet. Did my conquerors and adamantly chosen today? We live and we move on, but horses like George Washington give you an end to the sport that you just don't get in anything else. I love Liverpool and the Dallas Cowboys fan. I've had some incredible memories from those teams. Some incredible experience is from those teams. There is nothing that compares to watching a horse like cause of causes going win at the cheltenham festival for the fourth time, watching hurricane fly and

"Will have his best cross, so let me think. His best bread crop of yearlings this year that we're two year olds next year is probably beta breath. He went to a career high after he had 6 stakes winners in 2019, including Capri logistics group two winter space traveler. He also had the Albany and group two and her dad here. So he'll have gotten better mayors off that. Wounds with their best friend, two roles this year. You keep an eye out for bundling the jungle, he had his most expensive crop of 12 grand off the back of rumble in the jungle who won the Malcolm. The next year he had living in the past, won the low. So he'll have then his best year length will be this year or a good quality bunch year lengths will be this year as well. Do you think aesop's fables that one there on Monday? Low code and she is from no they never is first two year olds spread off a hundred grand. So that's when he made such a great starter stored then like these stallions always take a bit of a depth because, you know, there may have been well supported in their first year than they become a bit risky for a couple of years, you know, in case they flock breeders might not want to send the mayors. They want to see how they do. On the track. So no one I never in 2018, he had 50% winners to runners. So like aesop's table is out of actress. So now he has those top class mayors. Meditate was northern one she was impressive first time out of the car. So it'll be exciting to see how it's always exciting to see how they deal with the better mayors. Do they keep upgrading them or is it just kind of the same thing? And they hear it's not all about Italian, you know, it's a lot to do with the mayor. Tim mayors don't really get enough credit. I love my new looking at a catalog page and you see some mayor who keeps producing winners by most people would not consider very good science, you know? You're always looking for a page like that because no matter what it's buy, it'll be decent. Yeah. You are right there. We do get very obsessed with the stallions and this is about first season stars. It's the most extent, but you're a 100% right. There are plenty of mayors who are more than capable of upgrading Italian. Yeah. And just speaking of the reverse of that, that was one of the things that I loved about Dane hill dancer. I don't know if you ever met him. I'd come more stood. So I didn't know. He needed 5 handlers. And he had to be housed away from every other stallion. Because he was a bastard. I can say that. They would never, but he was a proper naughty boy. And I think he started. His progeny are very honest, so. Oh yeah, that was the thing, is that I went over to touch him and they went down to don't do that. Do not do that. He's being prepped to be shuttled to Australia, and even though we're prepping him to shut the office, obviously a horse would be being eased down, even though we're doing that, don't. You don't want to do that song. But yeah, he was being housed away from everything else. And he started off really is a kind of we'll try him for four grand. I think it was punched back in those days. And he got to arrange in 2010 where he was private. The last actual public fee was a 115,000. But we'll say for Euro sake in 2003, it was 30 grand. And he upgraded at his mayor so much that then they started giving him the good mares, which obviously resulted in even more quality than the private fee was slapped on. The Galileo type fee. So he was, he was a huge player. And it's going to be interesting to see where cool more find their next superstar. It may very well be. Saint mark's basilica, they have the facilities, and they have the ability to be able to go and breed to him. It could be Caravaggio. It remains to be seen. But actually, one very good example of growing in favor is actually in the national home. So you remember some of the boy. Yes. Years ago, one, two grade ones and the same year, block off one of grade one, and they're both by a statin called San mason. Who covered over 200 mayors off the back of that. In 2018, the previous year he covered warn mayor. What? On the year before that zero. Oh no, all those ads you take it out of the racing post and no one comes. Oh dear. That's tough. So that's. Probably the biggest rise in numbers ever. It has to be pardoned upon as well. From Amy. In 2020, if you mentioned rise and stallions, well then what do you think is going to happen? So you want the hard work is from the family slip anchor. Jew would have thought he would be in some bit of demand. His last listed fee was private. I think he might be retired now. He is old and off he's washed. 25? Yeah, he was born in 97. So yeah, he'd be right. But he's producing the goods. But the crop of from over 200 mayors. There are three roles now. So they'll be at the store sales this year. She'll be interesting to see what they go on and do. What's going to happen with the Galileo's? Because it's not like they've disappeared. So obviously we've lost him, which is terrible. But there are Galileo's who will be does the full share situation. So do cool more just keep everything. You're talking to the wrong person. I've never been in touch with the Galileo. You've been at a race course and you've seen one. I wouldn't have a clue what they do with any that are left. Would you because this is why, instead of having horses and training with dermot weld, now have horses with Aiden. It's a false share situation. So you pay half a million..

"Walked into that. Oh God. And Lars vendor says, he left his last season in Ireland was 2017. He stands in in Australia now. The other thing with him is he, like he was never fashionable, but he did upgrade as mayors because and is out of hurdle winner. Chanel? Yeah. She did win on the flat as well, but she wasn't great. And I suppose he's one of the reasons that those three I mentioned were sheep buys like laws of indices was by germ of frankton as a yearning for just 8 grand. Hell the dream Peter don't above for 12. Sunny boy liston was bought back by his breeder. He was syndicated on so there's plenty of doing themselves as short. Yeah. Another one, I think, was very good start, but he's no longer covering. He stopped covering in 2017. It was harbor watch. I view look at horses, the percentage rated a 115 and over. He's number two, which wouldn't expect. Wow. So he we've got the three time group one winner waikuku. He has carnation states winner, piledriver. And then Joseph has a globetrotter by around 70. So, you know, like, he's finished that, but I don't think people were hearing off for his progeny either, but so for all I can talk about who we think are going to make it and all that. I suppose we're all in this game for the horses and the stallions and everything that I do themselves go against the odds I was just looking at cool Australia page because obviously Caravaggio was moved to America for commercial reasons because he's the fastest son of scat that ease stallion of stallions. To which when asked the quote from Ryan Moore was after he won the country as the fastest two year old ever sat on. Now that looks good on the brochure. But I wonder how many of their stallions have had that said. I think they learned their lesson after there was the and we love you cool more. But it was the best take about he has the speed to win the July cup and the class to win the ascot gold cup. I know it's the gold cup. I'm just saying, I'm differentiating between jumps. But yeah, I think they learned pretty quickly after that or probably better not say that. Too many more times. But you are right. I mean, it's part of the part of the fun of this. Maybe it's not so much fun for people like yourself who have to make decisions in terms of me should I buy this or is just trying to figure out are these stallions going to cut it? Are they going to make it? And of course, there's a hype campaign behind them. Of course, there's going to be a campaign, whether it's darly slash godolphin, whatever it is they want to call themselves now. Or the IRS national installed or cool more of course, you're going to pick up your stallion because that's the name of the game. And the more people that you get to talk about, how great your horse is. The more intriguing they are. But you can play back that video of plenty of experts talking about how time form wanted to race. Thanks for the reminder there. Siri, about how time form wanted to write hawkwing the greatest flat horse of all time. Based on his lock engine win, I lock and join the I would ask you to go back and watch and be breathtaking by, but if you really look at the start, Mick and Ann cotton something, you realize that the horse is going to make the lead doesn't load. And everybody else didn't. So he switched tactics, made the running. And set a blistering pace. He finally came of age that day, but that was it. We went to royal last card called an injury and ended up his studying career was spent in India. Glen eagles, you were talking about didn't exactly sort of dropped off the map a little bit. Are there any stallions that stud farms are now looking at and going, oh, crap, we really pulled the trigger way too early there in terms of selling that horse or would they have buyback clauses and clauses that they can bring that horse back if needs be? Because Dane hill dancers is to me a fascinating story and for those who don't know, I'll just sum it up very quickly. Then eagles is still a cool more, by the way. And availability in Ireland for the low low price of 15,000 jurors this year. But that statistic that Amy read out is a very, very interesting one. So if we're if we're going to start breeding after I win the lotto tonight, maybe Glen eagles is where we're gone. John magner will have lunch with you soon. Is there a particular stallion that you can think of? That has just gone on the cold list that you think they're going to regret that. That horse is going to have a big season. I don't know, like there are so many things our underrated or good value. I don't know of one. And the ones that get asked for it for all the, like, say, power, acceleration that I mentioned. I still don't know if they'd be commercial. At the sale. I'm realistically breeders have to get paid. Yeah. So I don't know that they would still have succeeded but I wouldn't overlook their progeny if they did become available. Or I would take a gamble on something by an unfashionable supplier. Because if you're trying to look for value, you're going to have to forgo something. There are some though that will have covert laws. There are stallions who are still here that once they do have their standard performer or their breakthrough year or whatever, they're going to get the better mayors. And more is going to come from them. We had champers elysees, one or group one in 2020. So that was towards the end of the year. They would have been he's going to have his best, but bread, crop of folds. You would think this year. He also has that patty toomey is good Philly limited aggression. Yes. There's a two year old and she's entered in the guineas and older group ones this year. Like he wouldn't have gotten the best mayors. And he's upgraded them, which is always good to see one that.

"Who have thought us? Oh my goodness. Oh. I wonder why. What? Who would have sunk it? 200 K 200 K he's gonna cost next year. If you have that kind of money lying around and you would like to send your merits at banstead mount new market. But I was blown away by frankl as a race horse. I was a little bit suspect about him as a stallion. Because of his temperament and because of the amazing job that the late great so Henry Cecil did with him, I thought I wonder is he going to take to a life that start? I wonder, is that kind of streak of madness that you almost want good horses to have? Is he going to pass that down? And I'll be honest, this first generation I wasn't overly impressed with. But my goodness, it just got better and better and better. And if he's not champion stallion in the southern hemisphere, he's close enough to it. And he is obviously champions in the northern hemisphere. And he's produced classic winners for the day are and hurricane lane amongst a number of others. And we know that coolmore have since forces to frankl. We know that they're sending horses to Dubai as well. So he's obviously had a phenomenal season. Worth talking about him, first of all, because we've lost Galileo. And that's a terrible tragedy for racing. It's a real shock to cool more. I did hear and this is not taking anything away from his greatness. But there were a lot of people that I saw afterward saying, although they'll never be another one like him. Well, his dad was pretty good. And people thought they would never be another one like Sadler as well. And for that matter, people thought they'd never be another one like Dane hill. They come around. It's rare, but they do. And for that matter, the granddad was influential in the world of racing all over in northern dancer. So, yeah. We do have a number of stallions who are either have Galileo on the mayor's side on the dam side or they have Galileo in their blood as sons of Galileo. And of course, frankel is the one who leads the way right now. But what is your overall reaction to frankel's season, which was incredible, but also to the tragic loss of Galileo and the impact that that's going to have on raising. Yeah, well, I think there's no doubt that Frank will really it's been the year Franco. And deservedly so, you know, I remember when he first retired a store and when his first crawl kind of came through and people were saying, do you think he's a good style? And I said, yeah, he has a good stallion. I think the problem was frankly, he went and stood with such a huge expectation. Yeah. And I think everyone assumed that he, like, you know, he was a term being race for everyone loved him. He captured the imagination world worldwide the story of him and Ben sir Henry Cecil was just uplifting and heartbreaking at the same time. You know, so he went up with huge expectations, but I think people were very quick to judge and really wanted to judge him. You know, I don't really think that people I.
