Hulu Pisses Off Mike Tyson

"So here comes the streaming service, Hulu, who is now on Mike's bad side for pushing forward this upcoming series on Mike's life's in a series called Mike. Makes sense. And since they never asked Mike, there's no love lost between he and the streamer. So recently Hulu has this trailer for the upcoming mini series, which follows Mike's journey from troubled teen to a sports icon, but however what happens when Tyson himself hasn't granted his approval to the series, I just wonder why this streaming service did this. I admit, the whole list series was a welcome surprise. Most fans were expecting a Tyson related film in the future, but it was for the much anticipated Jamie Foxx movie. He's doing a biopic where he plays Mike, but I gotta tell ya. The whole series looks good. It looks very promising. Trevante Rhodes looks great in the promotional footage that was released the other day. But Mike himself made it known publicly for the first time since the launch of that trailer. That he in fact did not approve this series. And he did that by thanking one of his friends who refused to take money from Hulu and promote the series that friend being UFC president Dana White.

'The Silencing of the Lambs' With Author Michael Brown

"Michael Brown, my friend, welcome. Great to be with you, Eric. Thanks for the memories. You've got a great story, which we're not going to get into today. We've talked about that many times on the program before, but you have a new book out, and unfortunately it's very important. The book is titled the silencing of the lambs, the ominous rise of cancel culture, and how we can overcome it. So what do you say in the book, roughly speaking? There really is an attempt to shut us up to silence us to cancel us to marginalize us and to put us in a place where we can not speak up and get our message out. When I say us, I mean followers of Jesus with conservative biblically based values, I'm not paranoid about this. In fact, a large part of the book is strategies as to how we can overcome. But this is real. I mean, we're in a situation today where it's not just a matter of we disagree with you. But we have to cancel you out. You know, in China, we'll talk about someone with disappeared. They use it as a vowel. They were disappeared. They suddenly, they're not there anymore, or under Soviet Union. Some of this disappearance, they're blanked out. They're blotted out. That's what's happening in a different way. Barry Weiss has spoken up about this. She was in New York Times journalist, a liberal feminist quote, married to another woman and she found the atmosphere in New York Times for her to be so toxic that if you raise a narrative, you are not just criticized but you would cancel she called it social murder and it's so extreme now that you have voices like the irreverent atheist Bill Maher or reverend Jewish comedian Sarah Silverman or actors like Alec Baldwin or sports personalities like Dana White and they're all raising their voice against this Nick Cave singer songwriter in Australia said that cancel culture is mercy's antithesis. So you do one wrong thing. 15 years ago, something in your useful days. It comes out today. You can lose your

"To get to this Dana White Dana White is the UFC president We've had him on my show before He is a fantastic I love the UFC I'm obsessed with mixed martial arts He's been there from the beginning I believe from U.S. UFC one I have two cuts So here's what you play up for me cut one first Jim Excuse me cut 7 but you get the point Dana White is of course they have to ask data because Dana White took Ivermectin when he was sick with coronavirus And monoclonal antibodies So of course although Dana White's the UFC president they have to make everything political and they have to ask Dana White of course about Ivermectin They're not concerned about Jorge Masvidal or Conor McGregor They want to know about Dana White and Ivermectin So here's how this thing starts out in Dana White is taking absolutely no guff from these guys Play cut 7 Check this out I was wondering what your thoughts were with the 200 plus doctors trying to put pressure on Spotify saying that Joe's menace to are they really Yeah How about this Ever since I came out and said what I did it's almost impossible now to get monoclonal antibodies They're like they're making it so you can't get them You know medicine that absolutely works They're keeping from it I don't want to get too political and start getting into all this But Ivermectin and monoclonal antibodies have been around for a long time Now all of a sudden you can't dig them up to save your life the doctors won't give them to you And even when I did it when I did it here in Vegas which was however many weeks ago that I had it right before Christmas I think or something I made one phone call and was able to get to get it done That's not like some rich famous guy Like anybody could have called because that's what everybody always throws in Yeah of course you can make a phone call and get it Bull everybody could have got it back then Lyne had it When they did monoclonal antibodies and did all that stuff everybody could get it Now Rogan's been talking about it that I went crazy talking about it You can't get those things to save your life now literally He talked about it on my show on Fox and it was a great interview It was one of our most listened to watched interviews We've ever done on my show Here's where it gets really good This is the shorter segment You up for me cutting the second part of this So there's some wise S in the audience media guy Not the first guy but the second guy who are you a doctor You keep in mind this is from a probably in 19 year old kid who went to school for journalism but in undergraduate degree in basket weaving who probably got about a one out of ten on a chemistry entrance exam Figured out he'd go into media blogging for a living and he's asking Dana White who actually took these substances and found that beneficial to him He's asking Dana White to be his doctor But there's something interesting about this When data asks the media guy okay we'll make your case against it He gets suspiciously quiet And I want to bring up something else If you'll notice that I'm reasonably sure the guy asking him his question is it a doctor either He totally misses the irony here check out part two of this There's a lot of bleeps I'm from New York so I sometimes I have to self bleep myself too but here check this out Are you surprised at the backlash that people don't even want to allow you to discuss options and pretreatment It's disgusting It's disgusting Yeah it's one of the craziest things that I've ever witnessed in my life You know We're talking about talking about experimental drugs or things that the stuff's been around And Ivermectin the other doctor the guy won the Nobel Peace Prize You're a doctor No but there's plenty of doctors There you go Here he comes I just asked a question Are you a doctor No But I took him and they both worked for me So why shouldn't I be able to take him again Or other people I won't answer No no come on die then We do have a question You want to know what's scary But I could get some pain pills quicker than I could get monoclonal antibodies No not maybe That's a fact That's a fact They hand out pain pills like they're tic tacs So just to be clear something like 20 year old blogger who couldn't hack it in like a hard science who found himself a journalism blogging for the daily nut sack or whatever Yes Dana White Are you a doctor So to be clear folks if you have a cholesterol problem right And they prescribe to you fed a fibrate or blood pressure they provide or whatever it is unless you're a doctor you should never comment on these things ever If your neighbor says to you hey Charlie I noticed you had a cholesterol problem Yes Mary I did My cholesterol was a two 40 I took this drug though and crazy my cholesterol is down to a two ten Mary's first response according to the guy who writes for the daily nut sack should be Charlie Are you a doctor Well no Mary I'm not but this drug may have worked for me because it had some positive therapeutic effect Well Charlie I've got high cholesterol and I'd rather die than I have a cholesterol of three 40 because at the nutsack every day all we eat are whoppers and you know what 'cause you are not a doctor Charlie I am not going to take that drug nor am I going to ask about it And I'm going to demand you be censored and I'm going to write an article in the daily not talk about it to make sure Charlie that if you speak of it you are banned from the Internet because you are not a doctor Don't live That's the left That's who we live with now The daily nut sack on the left Every single day That's who we live with Media buffoons who are as smart enough to decipher a Charlie Brown's encyclopedia asking Dana White who built a multi-billion dollar organization who actually took a drug if he's the doctor There it is folks the daily nut sack Every single day I'll be right back You know Jerry and Larry's family.

"You know, live my life is doing my thing. And then long story short one day, I got a phone call at my house and the basically like you owe the money by tomorrow 1 o'clock. I said, what? Are you gonna find out? So I literally hung up the phone. I'll tell you. Exactly what I did. I hung up picking back up and got a one way flight in Vegas. The crazy thing is it wasn't even about the 1500 if it was $25. It's still once you give it to them, you're given all the time. 100% 100%. For people who don't know back in the 8 70s and 80s in Charleston and south Boston they had to like series of unsolved murders where guys would walk into a bar full of people, shoot someone dead, the cops show up ask 200 people in the bar. What happened in every single person says they were in the bathroom. And it was like the unsolved murders like the big highest per CAPiTA murder in the country at the time. It was like all Irish gangland slayings where no one would ever say that a fear of like these people. So when they say that you owe the money, you better run pay or scram. And then you knew you couldn't call the police. You know, it was like it was the unwritten law that you couldn't call the police. And then you end up finding out later that whitey was in with the FBI and knew anybody that would call the police on him. That's right. Yeah, exactly. Pretty isn't it funny thing of how life you know has those twists and turns out fate can be decided by something like that. Who would have thought that by forcing you to go to Vegas that it would turn your life around and create what it created? And the timing, everything in life is about timing. I was eventually going to go back to Vegas, but I definitely wasn't going back to Vegas that soon. And if I didn't go back at the time that I went, you know, none of this shit would have lined up the way that it did. You're absolutely right. It's incredible. It really is. Do you ever sit back and think to yourself because I'm sure there's a part of you like everyone where you think I'm just a regular guy and things just went together and now if you like Dana White you speaking at the Republican convention, your Friends with the president, regardless of your politics, it's still unbelievable that you're on speed dial with a president of the United States. Does it ever, do you ever sit back and think to yourself like holy shit I did this and like take a minute to soak it all in and enjoy it? Yeah, you know what, every once in a while, Lorenzo fertitta and I, whether we're drinking or whatever it'll be, we'll end up calling each other and going when you start lining up everything the way that it laid out it's fascinating. Fascinating unbelievable. Yeah, super happy to see super happy to see someone from Boston. It's almost very relatable where I'm like, you're a couple I think you're a couple years older than me. I just turned 50, but I look at you and I'm like, man, that guy just took the took the opportunity and kicked out all the way to the top. It's awesome. I'm really happy for you. So I don't want to be in too much of an ass kisser, but congratulations. You know what? That's Boston, baby. That's fucking Boston. You know, you know who of all people. You know who called me and tells me shit like that all the time is bob Kraft. Bob craft. Yeah. I love the fact that you're a boss a guy and you did this and you did that. I got bob craft telling me that. I'm like, you've done pretty well yourself too. You know what I mean? Yeah, no, that's Boston, man. That's how Boston people treat Boston people. Half of them will celebrate the other half will wish death on you. Pretty standard. For that Dana since there was a certain name that was mentioned a couple minutes ago in the middle of that conversation. I obviously don't know you. Well, make you a couple times and know who you are. But you have a trait that I did have. I believe you have that I do admire. I think it's one of the most important trades actually for a person. It's the trade of loyalty. And early on with the UFC's infancy there, there wasn't a lot of places that would allow you in. Into a venue with the UFC. And quite frankly, you won't allow the commissions in New York would allow the fights. I remember when I was going on and different places. And Donald Trump allowed you into if my memory serves me right into the Taj Mahal. And you never forgot that. I mean, you obviously was very helpful to you. To bring you in, when other people were closing their doors to the UFC product. And you wound up obviously campaigning for them in 2016 and then later on when he bid again for the reelection and you've been loyal to him since. Talk about that. Yeah. So, you know, when we first bought this thing, this thing had such a bad stigma attached to it, that venues didn't even want.

"In boxing Hall of Famer teddy Atlas and the great today's special guest the leader of the UFC, the great Dana White Dana how you doing man? I'm awesome. How are you guys? Good, Dana. Dana, thank you for coming on the show. Appreciate it. Thanks for having me. Merry Christmas, happy holidays to you and your family. Same to you, brother. Yeah. And for happy new year, I'll get right to it. Well, first of all, before I get right to it, I'd like to. Thank my partner here for not using the opening that he's been using. And omitting that for this one time at least a way he usually says the voice of MMA. So he usually says teddy Atlas the voice of MMA and I'm just Danny, you'll appreciate this. You can imagine the responses we get in the comments when I go ahead and now join us always by the voice of MMA teddy as the fans, the hardcore fans, they go crazy. They can't get the they can't accept the joke. They're like, is this guy crazy? Is he a moron? And I'm like, deal with it, dude. We're taking over. Teddy's taken over. Anyway. I love it. I'm glad he admitted that. Listen, as I said, thanks for coming on. And congratulations for the last 20 years of building the brand of the UFC to level that you have. Thanks. I appreciate it, brother. Man, it's pretty extraordinary. Pretty extraordinary to be honest with you. And you've done something that quite frankly, I didn't think it was possible to do. You've surpassed boxing in the ratings and you know I get a lot of people that get kind of crazy with me. People like some of the some of the network heads like the guy over at showtime, whatever his name is. And he's a jackass. I mean, you know, they get all kinds of bent out of shape. Oh, no. It's not accurate. Is that that he shouldn't be saying that? And it is accurate, because I say it within the realm that is the proper realm. I say it on a week to week basis. You have surpassed the UFC as the past ratings for regular bugsy shows. Now, look, I'm not talking about the universe where a Canelo fight a triple G what are those fights? Or if the fight never happened, but a few he had for Joshua. That's at the universe. But as far as and you guys do pretty damn big, beautiful versus when you go on those big pay per view cards. But I'm talking about on a week to week basis. You have you have leap as boxing with the rates, listen, the people that get mad shouldn't get mad at me for tone what I see because it's a simple formula. It's not that freaking complicated. You're putting on competitive fights. Every week you know you're going to get a good competitive fight with a favor. Could easily lose. And it's on a regular basis where a guy with 5 laws of 6 laws. It's not a dead sentence. Like it is in boxing. Those guys have learned how to fight. And what it means is they can compete with anybody in a freaking world. And they do. And the problem would the problem with boxing is that these networks with their promoters, the promoters really the network is like a sugar daddy for the promoter. It's kind of I ate to talk that plane in that honest about it. And that rural about it. I'm sorry. And I know people are going to be all pissed off at me. And that's okay. Won't be the first time getting line. But they go and they sell what themselves in a way that they connect with the promoter and the promoters put on a's versus B's. The house fighter would the opponent. And most of the time you know how that's going to end. Not only the house fight is going to win, but it's not going to be competitive. And people get tired of that. People don't want to go to a movie when they know what the end is going to be before the movie starts. So they get tired of it. And what do they do? They go to the UFC. So I just wanted, I was just wondering if you agree with that and what your thoughts were. Yeah, you're a 100% right. And listen, at the end of the day, you and I both love the sport of boxing. But you and I are both brutally honest about all the problems with the sport of boxing. And everything that you're saying is reality and these guys don't want to hear reality. The truth of the matter is we have the largest pay per view provider on earth. And when you talk about showtime, showtime is a very, very small universe. You know what I mean? Those guys, showtime, and all these cord cutters now, not a lot of people have showtime. So when these flights happen, they're on a lot of people that are watching them. I'm on ESPN. You know? And there's a big difference. And you're absolutely right. Every week we put on fights with the best versus the best in the world. And many times, the massive underdogs in this sport win, which means a Pena. Fun. Exciting. You know, you get these holy shit moments. And more importantly, it makes it very fun to bet on too. So I agree with everything you're saying without sounding like we're smashing the sport of boxing. We all love it. David, bugs in my life. I've been in almost, you know, sometimes I hesitate to say it, but almost 50 years of my life. I don't know what hesitate because I'm embarrassed by it. It's been good to my family. It's been good to me. I love boxing. It's my life. But you have to, you have to tell the truth. And you know what? All these problems, teddy are why we've been able to overcome boxing and beatboxing. I saw this shit over 20 years ago. I saw all the problems. And I wanted to change, you know, everything that I thought they were doing wrong in boxing with the way that we ran the UFC. You know, for the years that I had the platform and ESPN, I'm not putting a metal on myself. I got paid to do a job. But at the end of the day, I had a choice to make. Do the job get my paycheck. Get the figure out of there. Or, you know, once in a while, try to help to support it because you're in that position where you can do it. A little bit, a little bit, no hero stuff over here. But I went to Congress and I interviewed, I went to Senate and Congress I interviewed senator McCain to try to get a national commission. Where all the other majors have. To get some accountability with these promoters. To be able to just make things a little better for the fighters and for the fans where you wouldn't just have one or two power brokers in a position where now it's probably three or four. But in a position where not really caring about the sport, they only came about their little piece of territory. Not to support all. Now you listen, you're in an advantageous position. You know, I've called you a dictator before. Not a bad dictator. You know, not a guy that chops heads off or anything like that. But sometimes we need a dictator. Not literally probably not. But I get it. I get it. But at the end of the day, you know, you could call parents dictators. If they're a good parent, at a certain point, they're going to be a dictator. I mean, there's got to be somebody who's in charge. And what you do is you do it obviously for yourself, but you do it for the benefit of the sport. And everyone benefits. You want the brand to that sport to be the best again. And it has become the best because you're formula because your philosophy. Because you're in charge, because you say, hey, listen. These are the fights we'll put on. We're not putting fights on that really quite frankly. Shouldn't even be sanctioned because you get those fights too often in boxing. And because of that the brand has grown. And there's so many situations in boxing where azar a national commission would be needed to just put the sport on attract that it really belongs if it's going to be the greatest sport, which I think is the greatest sport.

Will McGregor's Recent Time Off From Fighting Hurt Him Against Poirier?

"Arena. Poor Yea versus McGregor three. Tony, You had a question before I went to the break. All right, Jim, you gave us an extremely in depth analysis of the previous fights. Uh, my question is whatever an athlete in any sport, but, you know, particularly fighters. Um, when they when they have an extended period of time off it either really serves them well, or it really ends up being, you know the detriment of them losing losing the match. So in Connor McGregor's case, the time off that he's had do you think this time off has served him really well? Is he Is he going to come back 110% and absolutely fit. Or do you think the time off maybe was is not going to be good to him The time off before the Korea fight was the That was where he really fell off a little bit, and he was Like I said, great in that first round boxing lives, but he was speaking about boxing pack. Yeah, and, you know, fell in love more with boxing, And it's not boxing martial arts. I mean, you put Jake Paul in the octagon. He gets his head kicked off pillows on his hands to do you put the seller on your hands. You know, it's not necessarily about the violence and the knockout that can be, But when you're dealing with kicks and knees and takedowns and guys who can snap your arms and legs off, But you did, too. And my tie it. It's just a whole different ballgame. So for Connor McGregor to get back in and focus completely on Emma guys, the one thing that, he said this week that stood out to me the most is This is my full attention. I'm not thinking at all about boxing. He finally got back to what got him here and by that I mean training, mixed martial arts and focusing exclusively on beating dust in Korea. And winning back the UFC Championship Belt, which Dana White said today Connor wins this fight The next fight. He's an all time. Great. He's already a legend. He's already one of the most famous over live but to be an all time great. Win these to fight this time off from the last Tory. A fight till now. Guys

Esports Engine's New CEO On Building Storylines in Esports

"Storylines perspective. How could be sports do a better job at and how can use Sports engine in particular use the company's role at the center of Esports to help build those story lines as well? Yeah. It's a good question. It's worth highlighting a little bit when I was being robbed. Rooted from the UFC to go to Activision. I remember the chief strategy officer who had a relationship with previously and we were speaking and he said, you know, there are so many similarities with what the US seem to overcome to where to where e Sports is and and those similarities are as I mentioned in one case in the UFC everyone thought these were just bar room Brawlers. They weren't skilled Fighters found in these Sports everyone believes. These are Gamers who are sitting in someone's basement with mushrooms growing under their feet and they're not really dedicated committed people. And so and neither one of those things are true. But how do you convince people that they're not true and and it is through storytelling. The other thing that was similar is as I mentioned the outset there's this really impassioned community and fan base that become the profitability proselytizers for you and the initiative and you've gotta stay true to that fan base to grow and sort of create that Network effect. And that's a very similar thing because if you're a gamer and you want to suck Better or be entertained a great way to get that entertainment or education is by watching Esports. So you've got those people but how do you expand it to the question that you asked and I do believe is driven through personal stories and those stories are generated through creative people. They everybody's got a compelling story. This is what we always believe that in a in the old UFC. You would hear Dana White's say these are the fighters. We have to promote them where the promoters we need to make people care about them everybody. Even if you think they're boring or they don't speak English, whatever it is. It's our job to find a way to make them interesting. I think that sort of myopia in terms of what our objective is and I think Publishers think about this I think platforms think about this long and it's just how do you execute on the stories? Cuz everyone will tell you oh, it's storytelling. Oh we have to, you know, make the players more relatable and make people care about them, but the magic and doing that is get off. Really creative people who know the right questions to ask who know what's happening within culture to try to drive connectivity. So, you know, my son is a sneaker head, you know sneakerheads are a thing down one's interested in this and you might find the most boring athlete who all of a sudden has a sneaker collection that you can find a way to expand that and I think what makes us unique at home. It's engine is one we have real passion from top to bottom within the company of people who live and breathe gaming they live and breathe not only the game and often the strategy in the competition related to the play. But also they understand what the community is interested in what they like. So with that applying that to them bringing in really creative people who have that same passion and giving them the freedom to to dream and create and ultimately then the next step is to execute on the vision is really what Esports. Yep. as we've got the creative minds we've got the passion talent that understands the community and we've got the resources in terms of how to get the full story and the message over the line and in our space we are really you know an extra set of fingers or hands you know to help the Publishers and the platforms who wants to create content we help them achieve their goals that's our job we don't win unless they win and when they come to us with an idea and if they want to drive more interest in their game in terms of Engagement you know activating their current fan base when they want to expand their fan base and use any of the content we create to grow their fan base we have the kind of resources and creative people that can sit down and work with them and help them to see the world in a way where they can invest in these stories it's always dead A bit of

I'm pretty surprised that judges gave in that first round, but it was the much fresher champion that was able to sort of chip away at the always game, or hey mazda throughout the fire Ab. Fresher champion but Komo. Zeman was basically been in camps since beginning of this year, despite was like Ben Booked and booked in both supposed to fight earlier this by giving burns, and also muzzle steps in, so yes, he's finally fresher because he he's had the full camp and everything but I think Kamara wasn't one hundred percent in that fight, either considering this long extended, Feick at Ala, similar to twenty Ferguson with all these these these fights falling apart, but Kamara who's been one nonetheless, might not have been the most exciting fight. I saw a couple of tweets complaining about the fight and I really take that. I felt it was a lot of fans that were on this very muzzle hype train. He's on the video game cover on this baptism round the resurrection Super Necessary Punches bef tile, and that they were expecting violence, even mice I myself said fight between WHO's minimize well probably has a higher chance of ending in a violent way, but it did not come out who's been one I had them winning all five rounds the first round I guess. Didn't really matter to me. Who won that? I still come who's been what at least four of the rounds comfortably? The people complain about. The foot stopped the wrestling the headbutts. That stuff will come out. Who's been did what he had to do to win. That's exactly why I thought he would. Take, her might as well because all the time Mazal taking this fight on short notice. Kamara also took this fire. On short notice gets an extra a completely different fighter between Gilbert Burns as well. It's completely rechange leftist camp Had his new trevor wittman is corn for the first time fighting the guy all this bad blood is in the air all the pressures on him, and perform a like we ourselves, said all the pressures on who's Madonna not not a whole lot on Mazal, but at the end of the day. Who's been doing what he had to do? I didn't have a problem with the way fought. Might not have been the most exciting, but if I was going to pick up, predict away whose men would pull this off. This is exactly how I thought he would do it. Yeah, when you get a fight like this and you have a guy as hot as MAS. Bat brings in a lot of the casual fan base. Does your watch? As many events as we watch, and some of the hardcore fans watch everything so most people expected this fight to go exactly that way I thought the first row was going to be the most interesting round, obviously, because of Mazda was going to get it done. He's probably going to have to do it in the first five minutes, and this is the fire. We got like Mara. Who's been defends his title. For the second time. It was another classic who's been like performance and he gets a one-sided win and highly anticipated main event so in the end. We like to talk about the overall letter grade, but it felt like just kind of looking at the time slot when we're all said and done. We're getting ready to hit record here. We're just like man this is this is super late like I feel like the card and the whole night in a weird way. Wet Kinda slow did it not. started off really really quickly. Might just. Like I feel like the first few flew by and all of a sudden I had been watching fights for two and a half three hours and I'm like wow, this fight is cars going quickly I like this pace, and then we the main card and Amanda he boss comes in, and just submits patriots immediately i. wish went exactly as I expected, but then there was decision with Rosen on drugs, and then even Yawn Aldo finish, but it was in the fifth round, so there's still basically fought for twenty five minutes, and then we get twenty five minutes, Vulcanology Holloway and then we get twenty five minutes of in Mazda, also of these we've seen. We saw that graphic on the screen like. All the cards are three title fights, and like we used to fourteen had like Woodley Maya in Jones, a cormet and Cyborg Abinger, and then to seventeen to five those had some bangers like like two to seventeen had three epic fights three like violent, like just three of the craziest finishes you'll see. And then, of course to a five, the CONOR McGregor show, and then to seventeen had the DC Jones trilogy, so I think we're a little maybe. We'll. We'll spoiled on these three. These three title fight cars while we're expecting something like that and I loved all all great fights off spectacular fights, but I think a lot of fans are tuning in to see fight island. In the Mazar strain, all these title-fights might have been. A limited. I could see why they might have been little disappointed. I didn't have a problem with it, but probably was the night Dana White wanted in terms of finishes. Yeah, the main event may have disappointed some people but for. The Sake, this is like the best thing that could have happened for the welterweight division like if you're burns. Edwards these guys are pretty happy right now. Especially Gilbert Burns. One hundred percent I mean we. We set it on count after it was on what the heck or or post eyesore produce. All kind of blend together at this point in the summer, but we. We said if Moslem Dole wins. That's going to be a problem for the US's pockets the welterweight division I mean. We were talking about him fighting the bringing the both belts so that the Conor McGregor. The table and all this. Kamara who's been one and it's? It's a no brainer that Gobert burn gets three matches. Suppose he should've been fighting tonight. before covid nineteen October, nineteen. That's applaud the car, so yeah, for all the way division, and the the the martial art fans of the world that don't like quote unquote. Holding divisions I think that's a good thing, but I. Honestly I love chaos at Moscow had one I. Think I, think it would have been fun time in the world of May. And Mazda all. Let's be clear. We all know this. He was the a side heading into this fight. He's the reason. There was a lot of buzz and a lot of fanfare when you had a guy like game bread in the street that he's on. That's what happens, but a lot of people wanNA know where he goes from here. Because despite losing the fight tonight, he still has a ton of options moving forward. Chaos can still rain in some way Jose. Can you say that again? You cut off quick second. Chaos can rain. For horny Mas at all got about it because he's got so many options moving forward despite the loss tonight. Yeah, I mean Hoy Mazdas. All I'm Kamara. WHO's been himself set like he's GonNa. He's like. He's like he's GonNa. Lose all these like excuses. Bill didn't talk the finance days notice flu costs. The country doesn't have was coach in the gym, covert nineteen this and that so like I. Don't think I of course I think Mazda obviously cooled anytime. You lose. You cool a little bit Conor McGregor and Nadir's, and it's such an insane finish that they run it back, and you have another epic fight like that, but for Mazda all you're obviously going to a little bit but he himself said. Let me, get a couple of wins and they'll run back. I'm sure he want. He would love to five full camp but the Colby College. Is there I? Think that is going to drum up a whole lot of interest I. think people might even be more interested in that fight in the dynamic between those two fires, oarsmen and I think that Kobe Covington already Moslems? Fight does not need a title online. That's just two guys. They hate each other I wanNA break brick on each other's faces. WHO'S MCCANN? Fight Gillard. Leeann, Edwards of course out there, wonder boy thompsons, working his way up Santana, positive I think has covered to so he somewhere out there, so the welterweight division will move, but for now Mazda all. Of course cooled, but he's still I think still the hottest commodity hundred seventy pounds.

"Island becomes a reality. Well, I guess it's already a reality. But there will actually be fights there, and it's actually Gosh! Maybe one of the best certainly form in my opinion, the best card they've had since they've come back the UFC But really good card. A lot of big names. And then, of course, the main event of the evening is a fight that Probably should have been on the card anyway. What We ended up plucking out, I suppose. With Moscow it all being put in against Guzman. So I wantto talk a little UFC 2 51 Maybe Look at some of these potential wagers and get Ah Someone who used to frequent this show. It needs to come on on Maura, and that's on me. Scott Kanevsky joins me now, Scott. Good to catch up, man. How are you? I feel like a first time long time been awhile. It has been a long time. And how are you? How's the family? How's everything going doing well, and I appreciate you having me on thinking about me and things were going well, and things are only gonna get better tomorrow night. Yeah, absolutely. Did you laugh at Dana White when he said when he first brought up Fight Island? Yes. And no. Because you know you crazy enough that he was probably speaking the truth. You figured, you know, maybe he has something going and he's crazy enough and has the money the backing toe pull something off like that, And sure enough, here we are. I mentioned at the beginning How good this card in is and it's not just mustered all versus Guzman by it. Man. Did we luck out? Right? I mean, my you know, I feel bad for the dude who had to pull out and it doesn't get a fight Guzman tomorrow but as a card, it's so much better now that master dolls on it, don't you think? Agreed. Gilbert Burn, We'll get another shot at some point. I mean, hopefully next in line for whoever wins tomorrow night. But this is a fight Everybody wanted. You know, already. Mas Vidal inducement aren't exactly the best of friends. They've been talking for a while. They had that the altercation back in the states. It was Super Bowl on radio row. So this is something everyone's been wanting to see. And now with Byrnes Contracting Cove it we're going to get it on. I think that's just made a already really intriguing AA fight cars that much better. Now I got burned by Justin GHT because I was all in on Tony Ferguson in that fight like it's not gonna happen. It's not gonna happen twice, right? I mean hospital is not gonna win. This thing is he Okay. From a mm a standpoint, I have to say no. And I would agree with you. But if you're going to talk, betting going all in and you've seen what's happened over the last 24 36 hours. Money is just money and tickets are pouring in on Mas Vidal. He's he's gone from about a plus 2 25 plus 35 to a plus 1 85 last I saw earlier today. I believe there would be MGM believe put out there that they're taken 81 ticket being booked for Mas Vidal. And you know, you know what they say. You gotta follow the money. So it just Somebody knows something, or is it just It's obviously not just big bets that are coming in on Mas Vidal, but there's no number of that's coming on him. And that just makes you wonder if someone I'll be just like you know where agree like you. It was all set up for Tony Tow. Go in there and handle him and take him to the ground and didn't but You know, maybe he'll learn from that. Now. What's what's mobs but all going to be able to do to be Guzman. That's the big question. You know, he's better on the feet, obviously, but you know who's going to try and take him down and out wrestling? So How? How does Ma's little battle that and managed to Ah, toe? Hold him off? I don't know. I think I'm right there with you. And I just looked at Fanduel and they have mustered all that plus 200 right now. So even though that's a little bit longer odds, then maybe MGM has that still down as you said Scott from 2 25 or something like that just a couple of days ago, and I guess oh, so let me ask you this if we do the betting thing I I have Guzman minus 2 45 or mosque it all plus 200 Or and then of course, you could get into it. Um, I took in my parlay. I took Guzman just straight up because I got enough other stuff in my parlay that I'm going to get pretty good odds out of it. But if you were laying down, Abed, would you would you do it smarter, Would you Dumas fit all Okay, so I would I would wait until about 15 to 30 minutes before fight and see where those odds are because of who's come down to, like, minus 200. I think you jump on him because they're getting more value for him. And firstly, I think he does come through with the wind, and he's just going to grind it out. But if that money starts about bounce backto mas Vidal, you know, I think, and you're looking to take a shot. You're willing, you know, maybe you had a good night on the earlier fight. Maybe maybe you going on and on and you take that shot. Just hope he comes with that flying me. He landed on aspirin

"Slash heard so the UFC is gonNA. Fight this weekend Dana White and I have had our disagreements through the years a couple of years ago. I had some comments on him, and he fired back in and swore and stuff but what I made a point to go back to a couple of UFC fights in person. And I walked up to him and said listen man you know you and I disagree, but sports need you and one of the reasons I just saw Dana White. Boxing Match Vegas he stopped by our table. And Dana and I don't always agree, but I respect the hell out of him, and he's a maverick and Mavericks. pushback and Mavericks don't worry about twitter and mavericks are strong and their Alpha's and we need them, and the UFC is going to host a fight this week. I've always thought the UFC Disney. Marriage is very interesting because Disney is very corporate very concerned about his image. Its stock price has tumbled. And there are very much a family brand, and the Lion King, and I always thought Fox. In UFC really good fit because Fox's, the Simpsons Family Guy, a little dead pool. You know we're. We're a little edgier at Fox and I think UFC is a real classic maverick brand. That's why I think. The wwe works on Fox because the wwe in Vince McMahon. They don't care what you think and they're coming back and UFC. They're coming back. People often ask me. What do you think a Barstool sports and I'm like well? Thank God for him. I don't have to agree with all their content, but hey, they do a lot of good content and be there mavericks they push back and this is why I think the NFL flourishes Adam Silver's got to tip toe around. Everything in baseball has got a tip toe around their unions and the NFL's like hey. We're GONNA survive the blow back from twitter. We're going to hold free agency Homerun. We're going to deal with the blow back on twitter about the draft homerun if you can deal with the initial blowback from social media and most corporations don't WanNa, do that big corporations. They've got a lot to lose. And they get very timid about this stuff and I think there's a big space in America for wwe. A NASCAR is always a little rebel. To it of the NFL is unique. It's big and corporate, and has a little rebel to it, not a ton, but enough to withstand the blowback on the draft, and so these kind of people people that challenge the status quo are important. That's where you get innovation from leaders, not followers from people willing to push the envelope and roll the dice, and so I disagree a lot with. Dana White on things through the years, but I respect the hell out of him, and he said California. There's a story out. Today is like all right. We understand Disney had a bad week. We're going back and doing this thing and I thank God that we have these Mavericks in Sports. Thank God. All of our governors don't act the same way you know to me. Whether. It's federalism. I like the opportunity to states to do their own thing and sports to do their own thing, and it there used to be newspapers TV, that was it now you've got this massive tyranny of the mob, social media component, and it scares corporations and everybody's petrified to get ripped, and you need strong people like Dana. White and Vince McMahon to say hell with you. Would just move it where we can do it. We're going on with this thing so all. Watch the fight this weekend. Just engage. He's a very good fighter. He's on the car this weekend and he talked about fighting during this virus. Bring a sense of normalcy. The people in you know proud to be a part of it. You know the the the opportunity to inspire. People need to be inspired right now. They need to not let themselves you know become depressed. Emotional because they can't control. What's going on right now you have to. We got write it through, and now they need to be inspired it away and we can do that opportunity. Yeah, they're going for it. And I? I like living in a place or not. Everybody has to act the same and think the same even during ugly crisis. UFC. Tip of the CAP is is i. do think there are sports like golf like tennis like boxing UFC like Nascar where you have one component or two cents fighting no fans one referee. They wear a mask. Let let's not pretend basketball where you're share. A basketball and UFC are the same thing. They're not joy news. On the news, this is the third line. Well, the jets have a big opportunity to step up in the AFC east, the season without Tom Brady in their way, but that does not mean that Sam. darnold is overlooking the New England Patriots with the group player Tom Brady. You know obviously leaving. It's a big deal. It's headlines. For us, every single game in the NFL is tough, one and I. Think any player to that, so we're gonNA. Take any one. Lightly just because you, even though you know one of the greatest players, if not the greatest player of all time left organization. We're not gonNA. Take them anymore lightly. Well they lost. The jets lost to the Patriots twice last year. Luke Falk was the quarterback for one of those losses and then Sam, Darnold lost thirty three nothing in threw four interceptions, so that might be why he has a little bit of lingering. Anxiety about how bad the Patriots are going to be just because Tom, Brady isn't there, but again I'm very interested to see what happens with AFC east this year and I think on the both both on the same page that we don't have a lot of faith that the Patriots are going. Atop the AFC east, although everyone keeps and insisting that they are all I could hear about last year was how had no weapons? And they let go of all these players and Brady couldn't get it done, but I'm supposed to believe that just because bill is still there. The jarret Stidham is supposed to do with Tom Brady couldn't do. I I don't get it, but the future of the AFC East is. Is Interesting for the first time very long time we've always known who was GONNA come out of the AFC East for the last twenty years nineteen one year, the Tom Brady was injured so. Beckham junior is looking to bounce back from a disappointing first year with the browns. He was dealing with some injuries during last season, and he revealed just how bad it got. He said my third week of training camp. I, take a little piece of ADB. So before the season I kind of had the hernia thing going on spurts, sports hernia is what they call it. I really didn't try and say anything about it. Probably one of the worst surgeries I've ever had. Recovery's going well. Guess I'm really just trying to put my body back together. Yeah, he's been dinged up more than once in his career. I mean I like his health is now. A little bit of the narrative of him is can be healthy well in two thousand. Fourteen is the four I four games with hamstring injury. Two dozen seventeen ankle fracture only played four games dozen eighteen. He had a quad injury. Miss Four Games. He said most of last year he was injured. His last full season was two thousand and sixteen, one hundred one receptions in one, thousand, three, hundred, sixty, seven, receiving yards and ten touchdowns, so yes, a healthy. Oh, Dow would be a revelation, but. Even, if he is one hundred percent healthy as we talked about extensively, they have a lot of weapons so even if he is one hundred percent healthy is going to get the ball enough to get the production that he wants regardless. Obviously, he's going to feel better. Sports is an awful experience can't speak for myself, but I heard much about it is not A. A pleasant experience, certainly when you're out there, trying to play through it so I commend him for that. Obviously, you're gonNA play through injuries, and that's a rough one to play through, but even if he is one hundred percent healthy. There's a lot of a lot.

"UFC though returns may night pay per view in Florida more courts plant in a white telling RT Brett Okamoto and this is what he added the major key takeaways from our conversation with Dana white on Friday first and foremost is that you see two forty nine is happening when he started talking to me about this event last week it was met with a lot of skepticism unless something goes drastically changes between now and may ninth this fight this sporting event is going to happen with no live audience another thing that stuck out to me is that it's not just this one is may ninth is may thirteenth to may sixteenth today no one wants to put on three events in a span of eight weeks and I think the reason you want to do that is a of course he sees the opportunity to capture the attention of the sports world be any sort of the only show in town but he also knows his fighters fight they put time and effort into preparing themselves for a fight and they want to compete and they want to get paid may ninth may thirteenth may sixteenth in Jacksonville Florida that's the take away the first court of course as you mentioned you have C. two forty

"The Cape Cod league has announced cancellation to twenty twenty season did over the summer X. games in Minneapolis UFC though returns may night pay per view in Florida more courts plan Dana white telling RT Brett Okamoto and this is what he added the major key takeaways from our conversation with Dana white on Friday first and foremost is that you see two forty nine is happening when he started talking to me about this event last week it was met with a lot of skepticism unless something goes drastically changes between now and may ninth this fight this sporting event is going to happen with no live audience another thing that stuck out to me is that it's not just this one is may ninth is may thirteenth to may sixteenth today no one wants to put on three events in a span of eight weeks and I think the reason you want to do that is a of course you seize the opportunity to capture the attention of the sports world be any sort of the only show in town but he also owes his fighters Pfizer put time and effort into preparing themselves for a fight and they want to compete and they want to get paid may ninth may thirteenth may sixteenth in Jacksonville Florida the that's the take away the first court of course as you mentioned you have C. two forty

How Queer Eye Star Karamo Brown Deals With Thirsty DMs

"Welcome to just SIP. I am Justin Sylvester and today we have one of the FINEST BLACK MEN ON TV. Joining us for this podcast. This conversation was it was jeep. I found out a lot about myself. I found out a lot about the queer eye. Cast I mean there were some nuggets in this interview and I'm just so happy to have one of the most enlightenment join me today. On this podcast. Please welcome Kerama Brown. Thank you for coming. I'm so glad to be here. We are at just a SIP with the one Kerama Brown. Everybody thank you. I'm calling this episode sex drugs and Maury Povich book. If you guys have not gotten this book right now get it and do yourself a favor. Do not. Just get the book the Audio Book because you can hear it in his own words. I am audio book person. I listen to them all the time. Never have I heard so much heart so much love so much pain behind one person telling a story. I appreciate that Boo at all. So all we can you texting me saying. Oh my gosh that part this part and that made me so happy you have no idea because I put a lot of people when they write memoirs they say they're going to be open transparent about everything but then they don't and I was open and transparent about every single thing for sure I was like I'm not hiding anything I don't want you were giving me. Yama for two hours on the treadmill because we're so open and transparent. Who was the one person you were scared to read this manuscript because you? Kinda just laid out there. Yeah nobody to be honest with you because before I started read everyone knows that I live my life. One hundred percent on one hundred percent open. Because that's the only way I feel like other people can grow if I'm an example of the growth and so I let everyone know completely before I was writing this book. I'm writing it and I would like to include your you being a part of my life in this and if you're okay with it let me know right now. If you're not then I'm going to have to figure out a way to still sell your story switching. Yeah and every single person was like we already figured you'd be honest about it so I wasn't worried about anyone to be honest about it and good and there was one subject in there that you decided that you needed to pull back on so I didn't talk about my mother being abused in detail because my father used to hit her because she still healing and so as I was writing. I was noticing that it was bringing up a lot of emotion that she hadn't healed from yet so I was like you know what I'm not trying to trigger my mother. I love my mother's roll back and help her with the you know the tool so that she could support herself and then when my suicide attempt I figured I don't need to go into detail about that because if someone else's reading it I don't them to say Oh this is how I can do it. Yeah I wanted to instead. Stop at a certain point. And then say if you're having these feelings or if you know some of these feelings here our resources you can use. Yeah because a lot of times people don't do that. Yeah and I'm like if you pick up this book here's a way you can get the hell yeah. Was there something that happened while you were writing where you thought you were over something and you had worked through something but then writing this book you almost had to reactivate it and re re confronted you talk about a lot of things in the book about your name and being gay all these things? Sometimes we don't take on you know we don't take it on fully. Yes we kind of brush over it. Yes they we're fine but we're not anything in this book where you were writing so yes but not really because I do the work myself. I mean like career wise. That's I think I'm so good on. Queer is because having a background in psychotherapy social work. I can do the digging and digging on myself. The one thing I would say that kind of triggered me a little bit was when I got to the color. Ism Chapter in 'cause I talked about how my skin tone my grandmother used to say to me. Don't talk it up a family anymore. Which you know. She comes from a certain time. Where you to be lighter meant that you could have attained more success and so when I was writing that it brought up these feelings again because through Social Media. I get these comments because I'm engaged to a white man. Yeah that somehow me being engaged to a white man has somehow diminished my experience as a black man in this world and it bothers me like people say. Oh You Dana White Guy so you all of a sudden have lost part of your blackness and I'm like when I walk out the world people don't see me with a White Man. They see a black man and when the police stopped me they don't say oh you're dating a white guy we'll let you we'll let you go. You're good yeah. Don't have Kiki somewhere and a drink. No they say you still black band. And that's what gets on my nerves and so when I was writing that I realized that there are still issues with my color that it's a different former Colorado but there's parts of it that still bother me because it didn't erase yeah raise yes completely you know. It's funny because when I first came out. I think people had a problem being gate but now that I've come out and in the past dated a white guy when I go home with a guy they now look at me because I'm an interracial relationship you're from Houston Texas. That probably still happens to you. Oh my gosh are you kidding me everywhere? I go like the minute we pop up. This was really gets me people. Somehow he put me on like back up back you up. My man is successful but my had no hand in giving me the career the success the money in my bank account and it bothers me when we go out and people assume my career is somehow because of something. He's that yeah I'm like have lost. Meanwhile he's like a doctor somewhere else talked about this. You know what I'm saying. DoN'T COME FROM MR. Calhoun exactly well. Let's remind people where you started? Yes because rule. Philadelphia was everything. Yeah you were the first black openly gay man on television. What was that experience reality? Reality mother ru father who was the first. Let's let's be very real but in reality television and when that title came out I didn't even know that also people's right in there and I was like what are you talking. About Ruben around forever and then I was like oh reality television got it and what was it like It's it's it's sad and it's also exciting because I was on the real world in two thousand and four two thousand five. Why in the hell has there never been an openly? Gay Black Man cast before me. Yeah that's a problem for sure because we have been around. Let me take some I go to Atlanta. I go to Chicago New York. Texas Tennessee and black gay men are around thriving doing the most amazing setting culture setting trends yet. I was the first so it kind of disappointed me because I was like there should have been twenty before me before me but then on the same rate I was like well. I'm glad that I could kick open the door so that now there could be more people and then I'm going to continue. Kick Open that door and also gonNA continue that every other brother. That is Gay I'm going to say come up with me. Let's let's do together. I let me applaud. You let me celebrate you. Let's let's do this. We don't do that very often was many. Don't but many do you do I do. And I think it's important that we encourage those who on their journey to loving themselves and to love others to know that we support them in that they'll get there. Yeah no in. Two Thousand and four people weren't living that loud. We were still kind of in the closet. You Know Oprah said. We was in the closet. Let me tell you I was out in the club. Run IN THE STREET. Oh do it in. Oversized Shala John Jeans and Timberlands and then each outfit sounds happy. I need you ought to put together like a collage when you go on TV and you live your life like that and then the reality stops and you're back in your real reality. Yes what was the? What was I guess? What was the backlash because you know with my family? It's like you can be gay. You can be you. We support you but the minute you put it out there. It's a little bit harder. Yes that and that's exactly it. I had family members who immediately were turned off from speaking to me my father and I we already had a rocky relationship because he couldn't reconcile our relationship with his religion and so because he he believed his God was teaching him that somehow I was not perfectly designed and not made in his eyes. He figured I can't talk to you but then on top of that me putting it on television embarrassed him and so he didn't WanNa talk to me. We got into physical altercations. It was bad and there was other family members. Come from Jamaica in house so it's like the Black Culture Jamaican Culture Cuban culture which unfortunately there are members subscribed to this sort of ideal of what it is to be a man. Yeah and then me being proud and well-spoken on national television somehow didn't define me as a man because of the fact that I had intimate relationships with other men and your only son and I'm the only son and so you know it was. It was hard but then on the flip side which I tried to do was focus on all the people who love me like I will just showered with so much love beginning letters and letters and letters from people saying Oh my Gosh I love you. You're amazing mice messages. Dmz ENDS. It was good. It was good but I'm not GONNA lie it. I took a dark path quickly because I felt like I lost myself because trying to battle the family and the good of here trying to be something more at Age. Twenty three was a lot. Yeah and so it got it got rough real quick she black Jamaican and Cuban. Sx is good. You better you show up with a PPO per somebody. Did it. Better be an ambulance late nights. I just can't even imagine it would add. Top passed already clear the room you were living your best life. Look my favorite line. In this whole book I found. It is when you said molly you in danger girl. Okay when your I'm not having an explainer people I'm GonNa let you explain it to them because it was one of the most profound things that I've read. What was that moment like for you when I found my drug of choice. Yes Oh my gosh. Tell me you history. Yes so I mean my father being rastafarian Jamaican Us We'd he recreationally and so it was always in my house shot. Okay I loved it. I loved trying. We'd because it made me feel social when I got it first time from him so it was a weird experience of like not having to go to a corner to get we'd just being able to say. Let Me Walk. My Dad's room and get weed and but then I realized I didn't like the feeling of it. I didn't like being lethargic. I didn't like it was down. It was a downer. I didn't like it so then I started trying to know you weren't going in your dad's closet to get some weed. He had a basketball side. Oh yeah he well he did okay he did he did. He had won by his bed but he also had like a basketball in the freezer. This yeah like big of weed in the freezer and so I'll just opened up the bag and I'd be like with my friends be like oh how much we need today and I would just take it out the bag and so it was easy for me to access it but I didn't like the Downer feeling of it and then I stopped that because I never had addictive personality towards that but though I had an addictive personality So then I started molly and ecstasy and that was cute for like the first couple of times I was like yes. I like someone rub up on me and I was like yes. We are living. Ooh And then as I would have to take three pills to have that same feeling. I was a you're sweaty. You're growth cute and then I got introduced to cocaine and that's what I said you in danger girl. And how old were you when you got introduced twenty five? And who was the bitch because at this point? Let's remind people if you read this book. He is now on the. You're in the press tour. You're in the Club appearances. Best Life as Kerama. Oh for real world yes and you start out on this dirty your sixty three you in between one hundred ninety three and two hundred and ten pounds and you get introduced to cocaine yes. What's at first feeling like

"It is my honor and privilege to have my next guest my buddy the commissioner extraordinary the boss of the UFC somebody out which was overseeing boxer by the way all pugilist exports data white was overseeing it all that way we get the fights. We wanted to see when we wanted to see them like we usually do with the UFC the one and only Dana White Boston. UFC right here with Steven. ESPN RADIO ESPN news. What's what's going on big time? How are you sir? Good Buddy how are you. I'm doing all right. How would you feel about this? You Have Ben Talk to me about how excited you are for tomorrow night's caught. Aw on Saturday. Always good out conor McGregor back you know he is one of the big I was just saying. That's the other one of the biggest superstars in the history of combat sports not just UFC. He is at the level of Mike. Tyson evanger Holyfield Sugar Ray Leonard. He's one of those guys got the all time number one highest pay per view. You and he's got most of the top ten Is Pay per views of all time. you know. He brings a different type of energy to fight week and he's never never ever not an exciting so it's always good to have him back. You know. I always take your words very seriously when you talk about these fighters because you've been unapologetic and not shy at all about `bout calling out guys in terms of win it's their time and their over there just done and they need to walk away from the sport including glass that you've had genuine love for. You've said they need to go. You've never said that about conor McGregor. But he hasn't won a fight in the octagon in the last three years. How concerned are you about him for this particular fight because cowboys voice Aronie does know how to fight? He's lost two straight but he's a veteran and he doesn't know how to fight. Well not no I mean if you look at Congress to say he has one in the octagon. It makes it sound like he doesn't want to. He lost to Habib who is undefeated twenty-seven and no one of the greatest greatest. Ever do it. He he lost by him. That's it before that he went into knocked out Eddie Alvarez in the first round in a fight that many people believe connor couldn't wouldn't win not only did he win. He won easily. And in the first round. So conor McGregor still one of the best fighters on planet Earth Live. You saw the press conference yesterday. He seems like he's in a really good place right now. Mentally physically and emotionally the one thing about despite in. That's crazy to me is the disrespected that has been shown to cowboys. Rony by the media the oddsmakers all this stuff. First of all this guy's broke almost every record in the UFC including most head kick knockouts right and he's ranked number five in the world. You know what it is to break into the top five in a UFC you have number four versus number five live this fight. Is that one hundred. Seventy pounds. McGregor has fought at one hundred seventy pounds two times. He won one any lost one against. Yeah so yeah I mean this is going to be a much tougher fight than the oddsmakers are saying. Let's ARRONI's no joke. I mean I was at as a couple of years ago when he knocked out some young kid. He was beaten living crap out of him. The kid is demand skilled but he asked what excuse me sport forty five times len losses the last two. How concerned about you Offer him in this particular fight. Yeah his last two losses to number one and number three to the absolute best guys in the world where his last. I have to laugh so it's not like he walked some flouting. Some guy who's ranked number eleven beat them number one and number three beat them so this this is a very very very good fight. What the Surani have to do to win this? Fight in your estimation by what does he need to do do different things. If they're standing up Sironi needs to stay on the outside uses leg. Kicks US his knees those elbows that he throws. And if this thing goes to the ground around cowboys Rony v most underrated ground game in the entire sport. Here's Youtube is sick. He has many ways to win this white. What about conor McGregor because obviously he's a knockout artist? That's what we remember most about him. Obviously him stepping into the boxing ring and joking about that from time to time even since the loss to money mayweather where he made a pretty damn good showing by the way we know his boxing skills. Striking skills cannot be denied but what other elements of his game. Does he need to bring to the table. Folks in order to beat surrounding one hundred percent surrounding US loaf star McGregor needs to go out and just use that unbelievable. We'll head movement. He asked he's very good with range. In distance he puts together unbelievable combinations. And the one thing about conor McGregor when he hits you he hurts you so I think the connor needs to go out put together those combinations go after cowboy back before cowboy starts to get warmed up and gets rolling why is connor fighting at one. Seventy as opposed to make it Soroti come down. Because he's clearly the bigger man even at one seventy. He's clearly the bigger man then conor McGregor. How come Conor McGregor in trying to get him to come down a little bit? 'cause he's an absolute maniac and doesn't listen to anybody and you know at one hundred happy cowboys. Aronie has to be taken this fight. One hundred seventy pounds doesn't have too much weight You know probably it's going to feel really strong. Have a lot of energy and on everybody this way. He's very comfortable. With his way. Conor McGregor was the hundred and forty five pound champion. When he moved the fifty? Five people body couldn't win that by now you're fighting seventy. I think it's insane but it's one of the many reasons why we love Conor McGregor Degrade Dana White the boss of the AFC right here with Steven Espn Radio Espn News Walla. Go just a few more questions Dana. We watched a press conference. That you know the state Alma Conor McGregor and cowboys aronie. You know we've seen. We saw a mild-mannered Conor McGregor. Especially compared to what. We're accustomed to see him how he tries to get inside an opponent's opponent's head how he antagonized us and insults them and all of that other stuff. We saw nothing but respect for cowboys Aronie yesterday when they talk to one another talk to me about that. How prized prized? How surprised were you to see that version of Conor McGregor and knowing him the way you do talking to him as many times as you have spoken to him? What does it's all of that needs to you where he's concerned seeing version of McGregor yeah? I wasn't surprised as much as I was happy. I was happy to see him. You know he looks looks like he's loving you know this week. He's happy to be back here. He's in great spirits. And you know especially a guy that works as hard hard as you do. Steven A. Your everywhere doing everything right now. If your personal life isn't together nothing else works right right. You have to have your your your personal life together to be able to do the things that we do conor McGregor seems like he's in a good place personally which is making him an amazing amazing place professionally so it was really good to see. But what about the argument that you know what when you're him and he talked about how he made one hundred million for me whether he made about Out You know over fifty million against the mega medoff a year expects to make about eighty million for this particular fight when you take into account global sales and things of that nature coach. What about the argument? That when people look at pugilists sometimes they get civilized. Civilized mentality comes with the success and that takes a little something away from them when they get into the ring or the octagon per se in order I if for combat what about that notion when it comes to Conor McGregor. What can you say to us us about that? Based on your experiences of watching what you watched over the years I agree with you. One hundred percent that when a fighter becomes extremely wealthy it is hard to stay at the level they were at when they were hungry. That is an absolute fact and It's a great question to raise and that question. We'll be answered on Saturday night by conner. Only he knows the answer to that. And we're GONNA find out Dana White before I let you go on out of here. WHO's the next conor? McGregor your estimated and I'm not talking about fighters because there's a lot of great great fighters in the US. There's no doubt but I'm talking about somebody who is magnetic and charismatic. Who Commands ends attention? Whose box office? Somebody like. Mas Vidal believes. He could be that guy who can throw out a few names that you believe has the potential to to be as magnetic as Conor McGregor if there is anybody in your estimation yeah. I believe that will have that and I liked basketball early on in his career I I thought that he had that type of potential Another guy is Israel out of Sonya out of signing. Who's our middleweight champions right? Now guys extremely talented willing to fight everybody. Everybody wants to stay active and as personality for days. Dana White Good Luck. You don't need it though. This event is going to be mesmerizing. I can't wait to be in Vegas this Saturday night for this event. Thank you so much for joining the show. I'll see you in a couple and a few hours. Actually thank you my friend travel all right buddy the one and only Dana white the boss of the UFC right here with Steven A.. ESPN RADIO ESPN news. Editor eight say. ESPN eight eight seven nine. Three seven seven six. Let's just call it what it is. All of us can't wait to see what Connor McGregor has. We're hoping that he has a cessation of performance. We're not trying to disrespect of cowboys. Aronie in any stretch of the imagination. I remember asking a question yesterday about potential retirement based off the fact that you know. He's about thirty six years of age. He's thirty four and eleven in this career. Had Forty five fights lost the last two by won by knockout attitude was excuse me you've been around for a long long time. If you lose this it'll be three in a row. Is Potential retirement down horizon. He said Hell L.. No laughed about it felt disrespected I meant no disrespect the cowboys to rony whatsoever animals under normal circumstances. I certainly wouldn't be rooting against him. But I have to admit if have Conor McGregor losers and loses convincingly here whether he submitted and this forced to tap out or dare I say he gets knocked out. Then you're going to be looking at Conor McGregor in in an entirely different light you're GonNa talk about what might have been or what was as opposed to what isn't what will be. But if he wins and he wins in convincing fashion you you and I both know we will be talking about conor McGregor. Going up against the mega medoff in a rematch. which I think everybody will want to see? So that's what I'm rooting for conor..

"Dana White is grateful for the return of Conor McGregor Thank you for being on with us in terms of moneymakers for you. Guys who set the ratings bar among Ronda Rousey brock listener and McGregor who is best assed and is there anyone in their company. Yeah I mean when you when you think about when you talk about McGregor being a huge superstar. He's one of the biggest superstars. I stars in Combat Sports History. And that's what Tyson Mayweather Holyfield Sugar Ray Leonard. He's at that level and when you look at it he you have the number one biggest pay per view of all time right handed mayweather. Then he's he's I don't know how many of the top ten the guys global massive superstar superstar one of the biggest ever. Did you see I've heard and read about you. Being interested in becoming a boxing promoter legit. And I'm sure you've been in this particular job for a long time so I'm sure you crave new challenges all the time. I'm curious though. If you're dealing with making McGregor Mayweather happen. Is the thing thing that has led you to say. Hey I can do this too. I WANNA be a boxing promoter. No I mean originally. I was getting into the business my partner. Lorenzo we'RE GONNA get into boxing that's what we were going to do and then this whole You know we started taking Ju Jitsu fell in love with the sport started to meet some of the athletes and then this whole thing happened and we fell in love with it and we were always going to get involved in Boston and so wins. That is going to happen. And what's IT GONNA look like when Dana White is doing boxing promoting. Well I have no You Know Grand Delusions that I that I'm Dive right in and fix sport and change it. This kid became exactly exactly who we thought he was GONNA be. You know. Six years ago. He He told us last time he was through here that on his last fight he got a cut of pay per view in a way. That didn't sound like it had a lot of precedent. You're good negotiator. What happened there to make that so because I would assume that you don't like to do that very often? One hundred forty five pounds world championship right. Then when he moved up to one hundred and fifty five pounds. Everybody was like. Yeah Eddie Alvarez. It's too big too strong. He hits too hard and he's what much better wrestler than Connor. Connor knocked him out easily. Made it look easy and the first round now. Two hundred seventy pounds Carter has won one and lost one way discrepancy between one hundred and forty five. See to forty six this Saturday night. You can stream the fight live on. ESPN plus You've worried about some of your guys before whether it's Ladele or Bj Penn and you've developed a relationship with McGregor. His life outside the octagon has been a bit of a mess Do you see a changed person in front of you. Seems a lot more humble. When when he's talking a lot happier he seems like a happy guy you know? "It's captured America's attention thank like. I'm sitting here. Dan years ago if someone left before the age of thirty he he was quitting on his team. He was quitting the sport and now people are plotting. leuke cly I am. I'm sitting here saying hey great decision hope others follow suit up still going to watch the game regardless of locking about capturing attention anything these guys do captures our attention. 'cause they're famous football players and we care about them capturing attention is is not what I'm asking you about. I'm asking you does their reach a point of any kind where the ethics dilute your attention. I know you're interested interested. I know I am too. I'm interested in the Games too. I'm sitting here profiting off the games the same way everybody. ESPN and everyone who gets into the football business profits off off the game. I'm not asking you whether or not it's got your attention. I'm asking you what needs to happen for your attention to vanish and the answer is nothing. Nothing there is nothing. There's nothing you're except perhaps a quarterback kneeling in front of the flag lay tarred. What would you say God? I feel like you misrepresent me all the time. You've been doing this show with me for a long time. What is my viewpoint about coaches? Because I feel like they don't matter at all misrepresentation Stugatz I don't even know. Why bother asking you these live with our show with his two guys on on? Espn Radio Scott Van Pelt with a checkout S. VP's new PODCAST SV pod. Wherever you get your podcast it'll be weekly? It'll have long-form interviews. You can can hear the grumbling. Jealousy of Stu Gods in the background. It'll have commentary expanded. Takes the one big thing that's so popular. It will never have me. Well maybe maybe we can negotiate that maybe you can chummy. Scott Van Pelt here and see if you could be a third guest one of his podcasts but one of the things that people might not know were understand because it looks. It's like a glamor job. That Scott Van Pelt has built a sports center around him it's popular. He's great but midnight and Bristol as a lifestyle is not the best S. thing in the world at the height of the sports entertainment ladder. So I was really excited the other day when I heard it's going to be midnight in Washington. When is that going to happen? Scott thank you for joining us. When is it gonNA happen? How did it happen? Why did it happen First of all thank you for that. Thanks for having me back in It'll be football season some of the next year and it happened. Oddly enough I was. I was at the emmys in New York City and I saw Eric ride home. Yeah well he was air. PTI was nominated and they won for best. Whatever that cut category studio daily whether show? Anyway I still ride home and and I literally thought to myself. I've been to that studio in Washington. Why couldn't why couldn't I do the show from there and out of that sort of hypothetical? Well I just started kicking it around in my head and brought it back to the people here and asked him if there was any possibility that would work and I reached out to Tony. And and their producers. There's just ask if we did that in any way. Would we be in their way. Would we be hat. Would be a hassle for them. Because I didn't want to mess what they've got going and everybody was really you know gracious about the thought and welcoming of the idea and fast forward a few months and I'm sitting in Jimmy. Petar Office are Austria's. Pin and explain. Explain why I wanted to go home. Because that's where my mom is. That's where my family is and And they you know we figured out a way to make it all work out so in August of this year. We'll we'll we'll bring our act back home and I couldn't be more excited about the possibility I feel like you're underplaying the emotional elements of this. I mean I know because as I was working with my father late in life. It's the greatest professional blessing I've ever known I got I got magic going back and being like you love Maryland so much much going back to this place. I mean you're a conquering hero on the Maryland campus. Aren't you well. I mean I I I. I don't know it's hard for me to say it that way. I mean I think I know this. They appreciate shape because they don't have one of them and they know that I'm not afraid to to wave that flag proudly and of course yes I mean to go home. Mom's going to be eighty this summer. her sister. My aunt is like a one eight. My mom like we're this sort of very title fist. we've been through Lawson life. We've lost a bunch. We've always really been close and so the idea that we could be together at this stage of the game For her to be around grandchildren. It's I mean it is a massive massive thing I'm I'm really I'm overjoyed. There's no understanding that at all. What however I can say it sounds sleeping more than overjoyed sleeping diamond at midnight midnight? All right well I you know you work late at night in Bristol you know. Don't be still don't sleep on it. You know things can get goofy up here. We can get things can get sideways late. Gets it gets early late or late early. I think what Scott is underplaying. What a great man Jimmy? But Taro's boss me make yeah man. He's invention he got. He got the appeal of what family was was that that's what it was. That's what it was did tiger. Give you the good stuff for your I. pod Like you came out of the box strong it was a bit of a show off. Move like here. We go gonNA open with Tiger Woods. Did he know it's Goof. I think that this could be our Jimmy. Kimmel thing I I mean look like you. You've done this for a while and and you could get a few people you know to call in. But I mean we just made aided goof and Mitch McConnell Hey and tiger telling me why they couldn't come on the podcast and so I think this could be. The group is to show to show our massive reach. would be to get the people to actually phone in and tell us why they can't come on so no it was. It was a You know there's just shows that you didn't take twenty minutes to list which I wouldn't I don't listen to your. I'm so tired of the industry. You're getting kind of link I wanted to do this. I I was forced to do it. I'm doing it. Otherwise dupatta the outright now new episodes fix got I only heard it was what I was on it. So I've been on years one and you'll come online. Why would you invite your life? He's so close with tiger. Woods that when he went tiger answered he called called of TWA own sufficient. And I haven't been invited by the way I would gladly come on your pockets. We've only had one negative. Yes week in fact expected numerous access. Did you get maximum Kornheiser Weirdo on this one. Because he's an unusual creature a a close friend of mine but he's unusual is that I mean I didn't really pro the depths of the soul but I did ask him. Why are you the way you are? Just the sit. I'm old and I've been tampered. My whole life You know he's he's a different guy. He hates everybody but the people who likes. I think we're on that list. I mean we're we're lucky it'd be on that list without question. What is What's your problem with? Pumpkin Pie I don't know it's kind of a texture consistency like it's the And when I was little I used to like to help make it. 'cause I mean I thought this is GonNa be good then I ate it and I'm like no I didn't know one bite that was it. I I read something. The ringer did the other day. Bryan Curtis does a good job writing about some of the ESPN stuff. And he was remembering Stuart Scott and and it was an oral history. It was very it was very well done. I just do find interesting. As you know this company everyone celebrates the life of Stuart. Scott I I find interesting man after his death. We were a lot nicer to him than we were during his life. Like that. Dude had it rougher than just about any of you guys in terms of acceptance in fighting being against the norms without question. Dan and and that's and part of that just to be real. Frank pisses me off. Because he was my friend and we worked worked together and I saw the stuff that he had to deal with. And just the let's call it what it is. I mean you'd have to tiptoe around the people who are racist people. People didn't like the fact that his black guy I think black in your face and the people that didn't WanNa like it or did He's talking that talk or whatever his his references didn't resonate with you were something and so now it becomes this. You know he's canonized in these ways where you know. It'd be nice if people were kinder to them in life. I agree Scott revisionist like he i. Don't he enjoyed himself and he was defiantly himself but it's revisionist like there. Were plenty of people people who liked him but the constituency that didn't like him disliked him more than anyone. I think in the history of the network and some of them were in the building jury he for he. He fought uphill In many regards but I mean I think it's the same time though I mean I understand what you're saying I'm not disagreeing but Stewart was a superstar and and he was a superstar who enjoyed the perks of being a superstar. You went to all the big things. Because he was that guy he was as big a star as we had I don't I don't think I mean it wasn't like he was sort of sequestered way and the kids table. I mean he was still you know. He had the big the biggest table at the biggest biggest share the biggest table. I think But I understand. Yeah what you're saying in terms of the way It gets sort of told down the line now You know I I don't know the thing and I said at the time like Stewart would ah obviously I wish he was still here he would have wished he was still here. He loved to have Mellon that it was that that that on the past that they were moments of silence is around You know every venue at playoff games on on boards video boards those games because he resonated across the country in that way I mean I think he would have been blown away to know that the His loss would be fell in that way. But you're right to say that you know after the fact it is revisionist history. It is one of the best ever do it at ESPN checkout SBP's new podcast. SV pod wherever.

"dana white" Discussed on The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz

"Dana White is making his return earned the show at noon. Eastern has conor McGregor makes his return to 'em a this weekend. We will talk to Dana in an hour and as Gods just told you Scott Van Pelt GonNa join us in half an hour I wanted to ask you guys this question because we glanced it The other day. Hey when Luke keithly retired in something that felt like a sad hostage video You know with his suit sort of crumpled up on him. Twenty eight years old seven cautions done with football and I know there are some people noticing the Chris Borland's of the world and saying saying more and more before thirty the gladiators the warriors are saying. Never mind but what I wanted to ask you specifically is what what do you make of the fact that whether it's Gronk or Andrew Lock or keithly what are they going through in their private time when three guys that we all associate with loving football like loving it not liking it not suffering nyet not sort of joy football joy Andrew Luck Rob Gronkowski. Luke keithly those three guys that you look at and you think those. Those guys really liked doing that for a living. What do you make of the fact that they're choosing imagine we all love what we're doing here? Right what kind of the pain would we have to be in to just before thirty before thirty I. I know I can't do this for the next fifty years. I might not even be able to do it for the next x ten but this thing we love. I can't do it anymore at all. Never I can't get a taken away from me in a few years anyway because my body's not gonNA hold up. How much pain muscle guys be? Nothing matters by the way because all the bodies are disposable. The bodies don't matter there's a new crop of famous people coming through the bodies. Do not matter or maybe we didn't talk very much about Andrew Luck. Football moved on without him fast. We didn't spend. It's the titans titans roll. We'll get the titans. We didn't talk about the cold this year. Just move it. Andrew luck was in the news stream for ten days and then gone never to be spoken about again but to answer your question. I can't imagine the physical pain that they are and maybe some mental. The pain is well where the thing that they love the most especially keithly. That was hard to watch. It looks like rocks at least having some fun out there in the year that he has taken off and we'll see if he ever comes back but he even gave voice to the brain stuff saying there was swelling in his head that didn't allow him to sleep at night so I find a positive that not that what he's going through that's obviously a negative but if leuke clearly is going to make the decision because of the people around them are telling him. Hey Luke you don't really have a choice here what's going to happen to you later in life. If you play another four or five years is is GonNa be horrific and leuke cly of all peoples deciding here to retire before the age of thirty. I think that's a positive thing because I think and I hope more players will follow suit because who loves the game within Luke Kuechley honestly I think they're probably plenty of people who do. But he played through a lot of different pain and gave save off a lot of join his work. In fact. If you've read about leuke clear at all he could bring very few conversations versus outside of football he had a hard time not returning conversationally at every point bringing any conversation to football. It's what he cares about most. It's what defines Luke equally now. The thing that defines him has gone at the age of twenty eight. And that's hard well but the part that I want to ask you guys in the part that I want you guys to explore as football is bigger than ever ratings bigger than ever. The debauchery is his headed here. The carnival of blood sport is about to celebrate itself and our city for the next few weeks in an enormous way that is all excess. All profitable notable. If I can't get your attention on the ethics with the junior CEOS of the world killing themselves and you know brains being donated into science and I can't get your attention with leuke. Cleon Andrew Lock and Rob Gronkowski legitimate stars who are joyous about playing football warriors. Who We'll have very high pain? Thresholds telling you hey paying too much. It's too much. I don't care how much you pay me. I don't care how much you how much glory you give me remember. We've had the conversation a number of times about a million years ago during the gladiator days. What ended up happening was it was just the prisoners and slaves who were sent to the Coliseum to fight for sport for entertainment and then it became such an honorable noble bowl testosterone filled thing with glory that they started getting volunteers that the baddest among us roaming the planet became became gladiator volunteers and now the most joyous volunteers are saying no thanks? I'm gone the most joyous ones it's weird yep and we have have no idea like we don't know what we're watching and when I say I usually say that as regards to predictions and everything else but we have no idea what these guys actually feel. Feel like week fifteen a Monday morning after all those car crash. I know you're hoping and asking the question what's GonNa grab your attention and for many people in the audience. Nothing has for me. It has my attention. But I'm just cool with this new normal of okay maybe careers gets to order now. And I can't wait for this weekend's games because I wanNA WANNA see Rogers in the super bowl I wanna see Rogers versus Mahomes and I love the game of football and I. "Prove it's the same money and checking serial numbers? What if Joe Bro has hundreds of dollars in his backpack for some reason? No I didn't know that that came from O B J just explore like how official that statement sounded initial reports suggested that it might be faked but then we reviewed the tape. Yeah review the tape to. I started on twitter timeline and also those players look like it was a new thing for them they were. They were well aware of how the money a handshake work. The money handshakes been around for a while. Now I remember Was So long ago. But it's wonderful it really is when we're GonNa Bring Down Your program again. I guess when you go up to national prominence of the kind that LSU reaches this week There was is it time and University of Miami Football. What I'm about to say is not in any way made up? It's all true That a famous rapper was a betting on the Games uh-huh and he was betting on the University of Miami and he. He missed rapper. That was a Miami Fan. He was sharing some. I think vanilla ice. He was sharing some of his winnings with the players when he would win. Obviously that's a little more dangerous than this when you get into the gambling elements elements of it but also he was putting out bounties. This was pre bountygate. This is twenty years before bountygate bounties on anyone one who injured Notre Dame's players and that money was being held by the team priests. How were our standards so much better thirty years ago than they are today? That's pretty good. This isn't even like the old l.. Beckham scandal that I'm interested in Odell smacked a cop on the but according to like someone's instagram live. I also reviewed that film but you like the scandals back in the eighties at night. And he's like what are we talking about here ear. What Guy Odell Beckham is very rich whether he does it in front of the cameras are dozen private? Who cares but that was a fresh scandal? The first of its kind of wrapper on the the sidelines. Money with the priest bounties Notre Dame players. They've got me in trouble and people hated me and a beer bottle broken over my chin and sports illustrated called for the disbanding. Spending of the program coincidentally has dick by called for the end of the Miami program because Odell Beckham Junior started handing LSU players money. I know we have a persecution complex but this is the kind of stuff that makes me feel like. It's it's earned. Can you guys explain to me though how this stuff becomes what it is today. It's a talking point today on a slower day because this happened three days ago it happened in front of everybody wasn't being hidden was spreading in fact if I had to guess it's only an issue because social media made it an issue because my guess is that some some people notice it before the NCAA Lsu and SEC and anybody else. I think it really became an issue when Joe Borrow said that he actually took real cash. Right that's what it really right has the doors for the explanation that it was fake money. we all brushed our hands of it and said Oh would never do that. No they said it was fake money. Odell Beckham engine. Why why would he walk around with a bunch of fake? Why would you lie about that? WHO's objecting to this in all honestly who who object Clemson I'm saying the IRS? The Nation persecuted Miami. Fans may take my towel. Maybe those Rick Pitino something to do with the group of people you guys WanNa that'd be aligned with a look at that list again the IRS. Look at the Group of people you guys just put him from gains fans which I believe. It's the worst of the group. I mean you don't WanNa mess with the IRS. Trust me data. Do you know how much money was made that day by everyone. The people that Odell Beckham was giving money to by my count the players at least one hundred and fifty bucks east. So he's giving away a few hundred dollar bills as I want you to think about how many networks ESPN devoted to cashing in on all that injustice is there is there is all kinds of coaches people getting bonuses companies in a suit on the field waving giving away one hundred thousand dollars to somebody. The President of our company gave away a hundred thousand dollars. It's not one Odell Beckham was giving out to get a job at a Jimmy. Tara.

"So it took us a couple of days unfortunately to get to the story because because we don't react well to breaking news around here and so we are late to the story of Odell Beckham Junior after Lsu won the national championship handing out money on the field money that LSU originally said was novelty money fake money and now they've had to walk that back but nick right tweets of Fox sports. Of course it was real money Odell was handing out who in the world thought. It wasn't good for him to his damn money and he could do with it. Whatever pleases excited for my immediate colleagues to give this roughly one thousand times? The coverage agent scorn they gave elements arrest. Why is it always about race with you? Nick right Jesus I mean what. Well a player apologised. This guy is honestly every Taliban because at this is nick rights thing nowadays like that. It's the reverse dog whistle where you point out doing this harmless thing where he's just drinking and dancing on someone's car having fun. Granting it up and Odell Giving money away players who are going to be rich soon because Lsu only has pros. Yeah you know what. It's a crutch crunch nicorette uses. It's a crutch Odell Beckham is always making it about himself. He's always on the field. He's always getting in the middle middle of every story as the second best receiver on a six and ten team. My kinda guy and he finds himself your please as with that one where you still got when you move away from the microphone like that. It's because you're pleased with yourself. Nope I was reaching for something in my pocket so nick. Reid is out out here telling people that Odell Beckham. This is an argument. He's making that Odell Beckham should just be on the field breaking the rules breaking the rules of amateurism. Even though giving Joe Borough money isn't breaking the rules because as soon as that game is over he no longer had any eligibility. Call me naive but I bought. LSU statement that it was fake money that seems like something that would do. And I was appalled to find. Find out that this was indeed real money that Joe Borough admitted to taking it was a shocking affair so originally an LSU athletic official official told the advocate on Tuesday morning. And I really do think we should start thinking about asterisks for Lsu and vacated titles and stripping everything everything from them ignoring everything we just saw but an LSU athletic official told the advocate. On Tuesday morning. The money was not real. The school was still looking into the matter. The official said later later Tuesday because although novelty bills were found on the field during the post game celebration it was unclear whether those were. The bills. Beckham was handing out. Now there's case close but now they've got a new statement a we are aware of the situation regarding Odell Beckham junior interacting with LSU student athletes and others unaffiliated with the team following the championship. Game Monday night initial information suggested bills. That were exchanged Renamo novelty builds information and footage reviewed since shows apparent cash may have also been given to LSU student athletes we were in contact with the NCAA and the immediately upon learning of this situation in which some of our student athletes may have been placed in a compromising position by that Odell Beckham. We are working with our student athletes the NCAA okay and the SEC. In order to rectify the situation which means probably taking back all that cat and putting it in their own pockets and paying ordure on with Joe Borrow I liked it. He.
