Slap fighting: The next big thing, or unsporting stupidity?
"Fighters take turns hitting each other in the face with an open hand. UFC's Dana White is selling slap fighting as the next big thing in combat sports. The numbers don't lie. We have over a billion views on social media, a billion. The Nevada athletic commission has sanctioned the power slap league for competitions in Las Vegas, but there are safety concerns, and the risk of brain injuries. Chris nowinski cofounder and CEO of the concussion legacy foundation doesn't think there's anything fun or interesting about slap fighting. He says they're trying to dress up a really stupid activity to try to make money. Dana White says slap fighting is safer than boxing or mixed martial arts. I'm Ed Donahue.

I feel like I've said these things before and I'm like, did I do a podcast on this before? I went and I looked at the titles and I don't think I did exactly. And I definitely have some new things to save and if I did. But along with last week's episode about hoarding creativity, which I've gotten. A lot of feedback on. I mean, I get feedback pretty regularly, but that one hits some nerves for people. By the way, it's not called hoarding creativity. I actually had it named that at first and then I went, wait a minute, that sounds like being creative in how you're hoarding things. That maybe that's not what it is about. Anyway, that one was about holding on holding back on creativity with this idea that I'm going to run out and then in reality that stifles the creativity. Anyway, y'all go listen to that one, but it made me think about this as I was like, oh, I want to talk about this. And then I thought, have I talked about this? Wait, have I said all this before? Yes, probably in some way. But y'all, my podcast is the example of don't hoard your creativity. Don't hold back on your creativity because if you would have told me,

I mean, I never got to listen to it because my computer ate it. And then it wasn't able to be recovered. At least with my knowledge of how to recover things. But it was a really, really coherent and great podcast. So we'll see what happens this time as I share with you 5 small actions to do right now that will change your next year. So I do not love, I'm not going to say, I hate them, but I really don't love lists that imply, oh, do these couple of things in your house is going to be perfect or your house is going to be easy or whatever. Because as someone who was completely overwhelmed in my home, years ago, before I started this process, I knew, and I still know. I'm like, it's not that simple for a lot of people, because we may be talking about different things from different perspectives. You know, I talk about my layers of a clean house. That is one of the communication issues between naturally organized people and naturally disorganized people. What I am picturing as the person who is completely overwhelmed and whose house is out of control because the daily stuff has all piled up and hasn't been done daily because I didn't know it was supposed to be done daily.

Oh my goodness, y'all, seriously. No, I mean, somebody had asked me to participate in something, this was in September. Random story. And I was like, yeah, great, and they said, okay, well, we're going to send you the staff and the date is, I don't know, like, may something. And y'all thought that went through my brain was, wow, they're really pushing it. That's really getting up to the deadline. It was September, and they were talking about May. They were really far ahead, and that is how messed up my sense of time is right now. Anyway, after that, rabbit trail, let's get back to what we were talking about, which today we are talking about helping others declutter. It's something that I've been thinking a lot about lately. I know I've talked about focus on what you can do as opposed to the big project. And this is just one of those things going through my mind. And so as I was working on something today, I just started thinking about this and I thought, well, I'm going to record a podcast about that because that's what I do, right? That's what I share with you all. So ultimately, this comes down to trying to fight my natural tendency towards procrastination, okay? I remember, and I think I've done a podcast on this at some point where somebody had asked one time, which probably they've asked many times. But do you think this has anything to do with procrastination? And I was like, yep, yes. Yep, totally does. Anyway, so I always knew I was the queen of procrastination, although I'm guessing some of y'all would call yourselves the queen of procrastination. But I always knew that that was part of my problem that I could put things off. I could come up with great reasons why I shouldn't do such and such thing that I don't want to do right now, like right this second. And I should wait until later till it's a better time. And so so many of the things that I've talked about over the years of talking about this stuff ultimately comes down to how

So we have in this podcast, we are talking with Sarah. And I had to double check make sure she said it was okay to use her name. Anyway, and it was such a fun conversation. She's moved recently, she's got 7 kids, ages 9 and under, including three month old twins, and has just moved. And she has MS. So such great conversations, she's got things that are working amazingly well for her. She is seeing huge progress in her home. And then we talked about some of the challenges that she's having, which some of those talent well, the challenges primarily are adjusting for a new situation. So like this used to work, but now I'm in a new situation. How do I take what worked and make it fit and work into this new situation? So great conversation, I do want to tell you ahead of time. Because as a mom, I have to stand up for other moms and I know sometimes people are like, what? How come there's kids banging on the door? Y'all. She's got 7 kids, 9 and under. And it's just toward the end, but the kids were like, we're done. We're done with mom, being in there. So her husband, her kind, sweet husband, had come home and was taking care of the kids, and then the three month old newborn twins needed to be fed and so he's feeding the twins and then the kids decided that this was the time that they desperately desperately needed mommy.

Hulu Pisses Off Mike Tyson
"So here comes the streaming service, Hulu, who is now on Mike's bad side for pushing forward this upcoming series on Mike's life's in a series called Mike. Makes sense. And since they never asked Mike, there's no love lost between he and the streamer. So recently Hulu has this trailer for the upcoming mini series, which follows Mike's journey from troubled teen to a sports icon, but however what happens when Tyson himself hasn't granted his approval to the series, I just wonder why this streaming service did this. I admit, the whole list series was a welcome surprise. Most fans were expecting a Tyson related film in the future, but it was for the much anticipated Jamie Foxx movie. He's doing a biopic where he plays Mike, but I gotta tell ya. The whole series looks good. It looks very promising. Trevante Rhodes looks great in the promotional footage that was released the other day. But Mike himself made it known publicly for the first time since the launch of that trailer. That he in fact did not approve this series. And he did that by thanking one of his friends who refused to take money from Hulu and promote the series that friend being UFC president Dana White.

So I am going to be answering questions from a form that I put out over on YouTube. I can link to it here to where I will do live Q&A's over there, but I thought I would answer some of these questions. Here, on our last podcast before, the summer break. So just a reminder, please make sure that you subscribe to the podcast on whatever podcast app or platform that you like to listen. You can also subscribe to my newsletter at a slab cams clean dot com slash newsletter. And that's the one thing that does continue to go out over the summer. So because I'm scheduling it before the summer. Anyway, all right. Here we go, first question. I have four kids ages 9 to 15. We have an endless collection of owner's manuals for their massive stuff. Simple question, do you keep them? And if so, how do you store? I feel like the answer should be no, don't keep them, but I'm thinking forward to when I want to sell or pass the item on. Okay, so a lot of these questions that I'm answering today, the people kind of answered them themselves, which I think is really interesting. That, you know, that's why I'm calling this overthinking because there are so many times where you're like, I have a question. I'm pretty sure I know the answer. But I'm not doing anything because I'm stuck because I don't trust my answer because I'm thinking of all these other possibilities. So I'm going to ask a lady on the Internet. Anyway, so I'm not making fun. I'm saying I get it. I get the whole overthinking thing. So let's talk about how to break through this overthinking thing. Simple question, do I keep them? Generally, no, I don't. But I'm also don't have this hard and fast rule you better throw away every owner's manual that comes into our House. I just find myself in the middle of a decluttering project going eh, I'm just gonna throw it this way..

"The podcast, I am Dana K white. I am the author of several books, including organizing for the rest of us, my most recent book, decluttering at the speed of life and how to manage your home without losing your mind. As I figure out ways to keep my own home under control, I share the truth about cleaning and organizing strategies that actually work in real life for real people. People who don't love, cleaning and organizing. Thanks for joining me today. This is podcast number three 36. I think I'm going to call it adjusting your home routines for health changes. Or something like that. So I'm talking to Amy, who is a personal friend of mine. We became friends through the whole blogging world and we'll talk about that. How we met and everything. But I've been watching Amy go through changes in her health and she's always kind of had that tackle it personality. And as she's gone through these changes, she's just made changes in other areas to then be able to compensate or help her be able to manage her home and the things that she wants to do. Even as she's her health has changed. And so we talk about that, we talk about some of the aspects of that that are grief related. Like, oh, okay, this is how things are now. This is not how I picture things we're going to go. But we also talk about we're talking about a book at one point. But we do talk about a lot of stuff with that. And I think you're really going to enjoy this conversation. Even if you are not facing your own health challenges, all of these things apply. Simplifying things, identifying what's important. All those things apply. Now, I do want to tell you, and I was going to say Warren, but it's not really a warning. But Amy is someone who is more naturally tidy and organized, okay? But in hearing her story, it reminded me of stories I have heard from many of you, and that is it used to be something that I felt like I was good at. And then this fill in the blank happened in my life, and now it's a challenge like it didn't used to be. And so I've had to both adjust my expectations. Adjust my tactics, my approach to how I do things. And so before we get into that too, I am going to let you know that if you are listening to this on the day that it comes out, take your house back. Is still in the middle of its flash sale, okay?.

And also before we get started, I just wanted to make sure you know that take your house back. The course that I do with dawn from minimal mom and cast from clutterbug is open for registration. So if you've missed it before, this is a great time to jump on in and get involved in the course. I'll talk more a little bit about it at the end of the podcast. So a couple of years ago, I actually have no idea how long ago. I did a podcast where I talked about what I learned about decluttering when I went to an archeological dig. So my family and I, I won't go into all that because it's a whole podcast. And there's a post about it. But my family and I went to do an archeology dig for a week, like we were the grunt workers, and it was literally within a week after I had finished writing decluttering at the speed of life. And so decluttering was top of mind for me, and we were scraping dirt and all that. So it just had a lot of parallels that it made me think about, and people responded well to that. And one of the reasons I'd hesitated sometimes on that kind of thing and the reason I hesitate on the gardening thing is I'm like, not everybody gardens. But people seem to like people meeting you. Y'all seem to like the archeology one. And I'm guessing that less than 7% of my audience is made up of archeologists. I'm just kidding. There might be three of y'all at the very most anyway. That was a joke. I hope it came across, but whatever. Anyway, so I'm talking about gardening because I'm learning about gardening. The Eric Metaxas Show
'The Silencing of the Lambs' With Author Michael Brown
"Michael Brown, my friend, welcome. Great to be with you, Eric. Thanks for the memories. You've got a great story, which we're not going to get into today. We've talked about that many times on the program before, but you have a new book out, and unfortunately it's very important. The book is titled the silencing of the lambs, the ominous rise of cancel culture, and how we can overcome it. So what do you say in the book, roughly speaking? There really is an attempt to shut us up to silence us to cancel us to marginalize us and to put us in a place where we can not speak up and get our message out. When I say us, I mean followers of Jesus with conservative biblically based values, I'm not paranoid about this. In fact, a large part of the book is strategies as to how we can overcome. But this is real. I mean, we're in a situation today where it's not just a matter of we disagree with you. But we have to cancel you out. You know, in China, we'll talk about someone with disappeared. They use it as a vowel. They were disappeared. They suddenly, they're not there anymore, or under Soviet Union. Some of this disappearance, they're blanked out. They're blotted out. That's what's happening in a different way. Barry Weiss has spoken up about this. She was in New York Times journalist, a liberal feminist quote, married to another woman and she found the atmosphere in New York Times for her to be so toxic that if you raise a narrative, you are not just criticized but you would cancel she called it social murder and it's so extreme now that you have voices like the irreverent atheist Bill Maher or reverend Jewish comedian Sarah Silverman or actors like Alec Baldwin or sports personalities like Dana White and they're all raising their voice against this Nick Cave singer songwriter in Australia said that cancel culture is mercy's antithesis. I share the truth about cleaning and organizing strategies that actually work in real life for real people, people who don't love, cleaning and organizing. Thanks for joining me today. This is podcast number three 27. And I am calling it the truth about checklists. There was a really big reason this morning why I thought, oh, I need to talk about that. The problem is I can't remember what the reason was. Maybe I should have written it down on a checklist. Anyway, but it is. I mean, it's just something I honestly think about a lot. I think about checklists because, okay, actually, I do remember what it was. And it was seeing a super crazy detailed checklist. And I think it was an ad for somebody else's product that they put out. And that's great because it obviously helps a lot of people. There's a lot of people who love that. But my initial reaction was, that's all for my problems. And then I thought, wait, I've tried that before, and it never has solved all my problems. So I need to go back to what I have learned really does work and actually solving problems. I'm not going to say all my problems, but solving problems. So anyway, just there is a magic feeling around checklist that checklists are the answer to all of the frustrations that people like me have felt in our homes. But then they often turn into kind of like, oh, well, okay, that didn't work. I thought it was going to be a magical solution. It didn't work. Oh, there's no hope for me. Oh, there's totally hope. There is absolutely hope. You don't need to feel like a failure when big checklists don't work for you. But let's talk about what does and doesn't work. So we're going to talk about the pros and cons of checklists like a pros and cons list about checklists. So what are some pros? Well, it is extremely helpful to get thoughts out of my head. I have things that swirl around in my brain. I have things that randomly come into my brain at sometimes the most inopportune times because I'm like, yeah, I can't stop and do that right now. Instead, I'm going to have to remember it, and then it weighs on me as there was something I was supposed to remember. There was something I was supposed to remember. And instead, tends to backfire. But we're talking about pros right here. So the pro is for me to get that thought out of my head and onto paper..

"The more space <Speech_Female> I have, <Speech_Female> it will never solve my <Speech_Female> clutter issues. <Speech_Female> I just realized, <Speech_Female> well, this is the space I <Speech_Female> have and <Speech_Female> there's too much <Speech_Female> stuff in it. <Speech_Female> I'm going to start <Speech_Female> getting rid of stuff. And <Speech_Female> then as I got rid <Speech_Female> of stuff, <Speech_Female> it became <Speech_Female> easier to live in my <Speech_Female> house, my house looked <Speech_Female> better. It felt better <Speech_Music_Female> at functioned <SpeakerChange> better, <Speech_Female> and I went, <Speech_Female> oh, <Silence> wait a minute. <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> The solution <Speech_Female> was never a bigger <Speech_Female> house. <Speech_Female> The solution was <Speech_Female> just I needed to get rid of stuff, <Speech_Female> but I didn't realize <Speech_Female> that until <Speech_Female> stuff was gone. <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> Because as long as I had more <Speech_Female> stuff than I could fit in my <Speech_Female> house, you couldn't <Speech_Female> have convinced me. <Speech_Female> So <Speech_Female> work on <Speech_Female> your own stuff and <Speech_Female> neutral stuff, your <Speech_Female> house will improve. <Speech_Female> It'll be easier <Speech_Female> to manage. <Speech_Female> You'll <Speech_Female> experience that, oh, <Speech_Female> wait, maybe we don't <Speech_Female> actually need <Speech_Female> as much more space <Speech_Female> as we thought. We <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> just needed to get rid of stuff, <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> and now that stuff is <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> gone. And our House <Speech_Female> is much more comfortable, <Speech_Female> and we <Speech_Female> like it more and it <Speech_Female> fits more <Speech_Female> with the vision that we <Speech_Female> had for it when we originally <Speech_Female> moved into this <Speech_Female> space. <Speech_Female> And then <Speech_Female> the perspective on <Speech_Female> stuff will change <Speech_Female> the perspective <Speech_Female> on how much you need <Speech_Female> because you'll live with less <Speech_Female> stuff. You'll experience living <Speech_Female> with less stuff. <Speech_Female> You'll enjoy your <Speech_Female> house more. And <Silence> that eventually, <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> I can't promise <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> it, but will <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> probably <Speech_Female> likely <Speech_Female> can almost <Speech_Female> promise, but I won't promise. <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> Change how he views <Speech_Female> stuff. <Speech_Female> And how he views this <Speech_Female> idea of oh, <Speech_Female> maybe <Speech_Female> it does make <Speech_Female> sense to get rid of stuff. <Speech_Female> I can't <Speech_Female> guarantee it and yet <Speech_Female> it happened for my <Speech_Female> family, and <Speech_Female> it has happened for <Speech_Female> so many <Speech_Female> other <Speech_Female> people's families. <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> They <Speech_Female> worried about their own stuff <Speech_Female> first so that people didn't <Speech_Female> feel threatened <Silence> as they were decluttering. <Speech_Female> They <Speech_Female> didn't feel threatened <Speech_Female> or judged or <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> you're throwing my stuff <Speech_Female> away and leaving your own stuff. <Speech_Female> No, they were getting into their own stuff. <Speech_Female> People started to <Speech_Female> experience what it was like to <Speech_Female> live with less stuff <Speech_Female> and how much <Speech_Female> nicer and easier <Silence> it was to keep a house under <Speech_Female> control <Speech_Female> and then they <Speech_Female> changed their perspective on <Speech_Female> their own stuff. So don't <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> try to talk him into <Speech_Female> getting on board <Speech_Female> before you actually start <Speech_Male> doing it, just start <Speech_Female> doing it. Does <Speech_Music_Female> <Advertisement> that make sense? Okay. <Speech_Female> <Advertisement> All right. <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> I think I'm gonna quit <Silence> there. <Speech_Female> <Speech_Female> A couple of things. <Speech_Female> I did just want <Speech_Female> to <Speech_Female> remind you that my <Speech_Female> new book is out organizing <Speech_Female> for the rest of us. So you don't <Speech_Female> even have to wait. <Speech_Female> If you want a digital <Speech_Female> copy, either <Speech_Female> audio or <Speech_Female> ebook, you can get <Speech_Female> those wherever books are <Speech_Female> sold. If <Speech_Female> you want to order <Speech_Female> the <Speech_Female> physical book, <Speech_Female> you can do that, just <Speech_Female> search Dana K white <Speech_Female> on <Speech_Female> any place <Speech_Female> where you'd like to buy <Speech_Female> books. "Welcome to a slab chem's clean, the podcast. I'm Dana Kay white. I share my personal diesel a process. And as I figure out ways to keep my own home under control, I share the truth about cleaning and organizing strategies that actually work in real life for real people. People who don't love cleaning and organizing. Thanks for joining me today. This is podcast number three O 7. I'm calling it your project brain is a gift. Planning a move. Yeah, that's what we're talking about. Basically we're talking about what I'm doing right now, which is getting ready to move. Which is crazy, because y'all know, I've talked before about moving and I've always said, but I haven't been through this in my own dislocation process. And so, you know, anyway, but now as we get into the nitty Gritty of what actually is involved. And I think there's stuff to talk about and learn for those of you who have no intention of moving anytime soon. But really, it comes down to project brain and when we get to use it to our benefit. Instead of it being a negative thing for those of us who struggle in our homes. But anyway, so we'll talk about that. But before we get started, I want to tell you about our sponsor for this podcast who is prepped ish. I want you to think through your day. What are the pain points? The hectic daily moments that you absolutely dread. Well, for many of us, it's 5 o'clock when you realize that somehow the dinner hour has snuck up on you again. Naturally, this is the time when young kiddos start losing it. With older kiddos, it's also the time when you have to be running all over the place and you seriously just don't have time to be in the kitchen for an hour and a half. Trying to throw together a healthy meal emits that chaos is just plain hard. Enter?.

Will McGregor's Recent Time Off From Fighting Hurt Him Against Poirier?
"Arena. Poor Yea versus McGregor three. Tony, You had a question before I went to the break. All right, Jim, you gave us an extremely in depth analysis of the previous fights. Uh, my question is whatever an athlete in any sport, but, you know, particularly fighters. Um, when they when they have an extended period of time off it either really serves them well, or it really ends up being, you know the detriment of them losing losing the match. So in Connor McGregor's case, the time off that he's had do you think this time off has served him really well? Is he Is he going to come back 110% and absolutely fit. Or do you think the time off maybe was is not going to be good to him The time off before the Korea fight was the That was where he really fell off a little bit, and he was Like I said, great in that first round boxing lives, but he was speaking about boxing pack. Yeah, and, you know, fell in love more with boxing, And it's not boxing martial arts. I mean, you put Jake Paul in the octagon. He gets his head kicked off pillows on his hands to do you put the seller on your hands. You know, it's not necessarily about the violence and the knockout that can be, But when you're dealing with kicks and knees and takedowns and guys who can snap your arms and legs off, But you did, too. And my tie it. It's just a whole different ballgame. So for Connor McGregor to get back in and focus completely on Emma guys, the one thing that, he said this week that stood out to me the most is This is my full attention. I'm not thinking at all about boxing. He finally got back to what got him here and by that I mean training, mixed martial arts and focusing exclusively on beating dust in Korea. And winning back the UFC Championship Belt, which Dana White said today Connor wins this fight The next fight. He's an all time. Great. He's already a legend. He's already one of the most famous over live but to be an all time great. Win these to fight this time off from the last Tory. A fight till now. Guys

Esports Network Podcast
Esports Engine's New CEO On Building Storylines in Esports
"Storylines perspective. How could be sports do a better job at and how can use Sports engine in particular use the company's role at the center of Esports to help build those story lines as well? Yeah. It's a good question. It's worth highlighting a little bit when I was being robbed. Rooted from the UFC to go to Activision. I remember the chief strategy officer who had a relationship with previously and we were speaking and he said, you know, there are so many similarities with what the US seem to overcome to where to where e Sports is and and those similarities are as I mentioned in one case in the UFC everyone thought these were just bar room Brawlers. They weren't skilled Fighters found in these Sports everyone believes. These are Gamers who are sitting in someone's basement with mushrooms growing under their feet and they're not really dedicated committed people. And so and neither one of those things are true. But how do you convince people that they're not true and and it is through storytelling. The other thing that was similar is as I mentioned the outset there's this really impassioned community and fan base that become the profitability proselytizers for you and the initiative and you've gotta stay true to that fan base to grow and sort of create that Network effect. And that's a very similar thing because if you're a gamer and you want to suck Better or be entertained a great way to get that entertainment or education is by watching Esports. So you've got those people but how do you expand it to the question that you asked and I do believe is driven through personal stories and those stories are generated through creative people. They everybody's got a compelling story. This is what we always believe that in a in the old UFC. You would hear Dana White's say these are the fighters. We have to promote them where the promoters we need to make people care about them everybody. Even if you think they're boring or they don't speak English, whatever it is. It's our job to find a way to make them interesting. I think that sort of myopia in terms of what our objective is and I think Publishers think about this I think platforms think about this long and it's just how do you execute on the stories? Cuz everyone will tell you oh, it's storytelling. Oh we have to, you know, make the players more relatable and make people care about them, but the magic and doing that is get off. Really creative people who know the right questions to ask who know what's happening within culture to try to drive connectivity. So, you know, my son is a sneaker head, you know sneakerheads are a thing down one's interested in this and you might find the most boring athlete who all of a sudden has a sneaker collection that you can find a way to expand that and I think what makes us unique at home. It's engine is one we have real passion from top to bottom within the company of people who live and breathe gaming they live and breathe not only the game and often the strategy in the competition related to the play. But also they understand what the community is interested in what they like. So with that applying that to them bringing in really creative people who have that same passion and giving them the freedom to to dream and create and ultimately then the next step is to execute on the vision is really what Esports. Yep. as we've got the creative minds we've got the passion talent that understands the community and we've got the resources in terms of how to get the full story and the message over the line and in our space we are really you know an extra set of fingers or hands you know to help the Publishers and the platforms who wants to create content we help them achieve their goals that's our job we don't win unless they win and when they come to us with an idea and if they want to drive more interest in their game in terms of Engagement you know activating their current fan base when they want to expand their fan base and use any of the content we create to grow their fan base we have the kind of resources and creative people that can sit down and work with them and help them to see the world in a way where they can invest in these stories it's always dead A bit of

UFC featherweight champ defends title in split decision
"I Will Fight Island was officially christened tonight for the UFC in Abu. Dhabi there was no baptism to be had in the main event of UFC two fifty one. What's going on everybody? Welcome to the official. You have to fifty one post fight. Show here on, May, finding dot com I'm Mike Heck location this week from Boston Massachusetts visiting the parents this weekend. That is Jose Jose. Main Event Kamara, who's been retains a welterweight title against Whore Mazal. Challenger looked pretty darn good in that first round. I'm pretty surprised that judges gave in that first round, but it was the much fresher champion that was able to sort of chip away at the always game, or hey mazda throughout the fire Ab. Fresher champion but Komo. Zeman was basically been in camps since beginning of this year, despite was like Ben Booked and booked in both supposed to fight earlier this by giving burns, and also muzzle steps in, so yes, he's finally fresher because he he's had the full camp and everything but I think Kamara wasn't one hundred percent in that fight, either considering this long extended, Feick at Ala, similar to twenty Ferguson with all these these these fights falling apart, but Kamara who's been one nonetheless, might not have been the most exciting fight. I saw a couple of tweets complaining about the fight and I really take that. I felt it was a lot of fans that were on this very muzzle hype train. He's on the video game cover on this baptism round the resurrection Super Necessary Punches bef tile, and that they were expecting violence, even mice I myself said fight between WHO's minimize well probably has a higher chance of ending in a violent way, but it did not come out who's been one I had them winning all five rounds the first round I guess. Didn't really matter to me. Who won that? I still come who's been what at least four of the rounds comfortably? The people complain about. The foot stopped the wrestling the headbutts. That stuff will come out. Who's been did what he had to do to win. That's exactly why I thought he would. Take, her might as well because all the time Mazal taking this fight on short notice. Kamara also took this fire. On short notice gets an extra a completely different fighter between Gilbert Burns as well. It's completely rechange leftist camp Had his new trevor wittman is corn for the first time fighting the guy all this bad blood is in the air all the pressures on him, and perform a like we ourselves, said all the pressures on who's Madonna not not a whole lot on Mazal, but at the end of the day. Who's been doing what he had to do? I didn't have a problem with the way fought. Might not have been the most exciting, but if I was going to pick up, predict away whose men would pull this off. This is exactly how I thought he would do it. Yeah, when you get a fight like this and you have a guy as hot as MAS. Bat brings in a lot of the casual fan base. Does your watch? As many events as we watch, and some of the hardcore fans watch everything so most people expected this fight to go exactly that way I thought the first row was going to be the most interesting round, obviously, because of Mazda was going to get it done. He's probably going to have to do it in the first five minutes, and this is the fire. We got like Mara. Who's been defends his title. For the second time. It was another classic who's been like performance and he gets a one-sided win and highly anticipated main event so in the end. We like to talk about the overall letter grade, but it felt like just kind of looking at the time slot when we're all said and done. We're getting ready to hit record here. We're just like man this is this is super late like I feel like the card and the whole night in a weird way. Wet Kinda slow did it not. started off really really quickly. Might just. Like I feel like the first few flew by and all of a sudden I had been watching fights for two and a half three hours and I'm like wow, this fight is cars going quickly I like this pace, and then we the main card and Amanda he boss comes in, and just submits patriots immediately i. wish went exactly as I expected, but then there was decision with Rosen on drugs, and then even Yawn Aldo finish, but it was in the fifth round, so there's still basically fought for twenty five minutes, and then we get twenty five minutes, Vulcanology Holloway and then we get twenty five minutes of in Mazda, also of these we've seen. We saw that graphic on the screen like. All the cards are three title fights, and like we used to fourteen had like Woodley Maya in Jones, a cormet and Cyborg Abinger, and then to seventeen to five those had some bangers like like two to seventeen had three epic fights three like violent, like just three of the craziest finishes you'll see. And then, of course to a five, the CONOR McGregor show, and then to seventeen had the DC Jones trilogy, so I think we're a little maybe. We'll. We'll spoiled on these three. These three title fight cars while we're expecting something like that and I loved all all great fights off spectacular fights, but I think a lot of fans are tuning in to see fight island. In the Mazar strain, all these title-fights might have been. A limited. I could see why they might have been little disappointed. I didn't have a problem with it, but probably was the night Dana White wanted in terms of finishes. Yeah, the main event may have disappointed some people but for. The Sake, this is like the best thing that could have happened for the welterweight division like if you're burns. Edwards these guys are pretty happy right now. Especially Gilbert Burns. One hundred percent I mean we. We set it on count after it was on what the heck or or post eyesore produce. All kind of blend together at this point in the summer, but we. We said if Moslem Dole wins. That's going to be a problem for the US's pockets the welterweight division I mean. We were talking about him fighting the bringing the both belts so that the Conor McGregor. The table and all this. Kamara who's been one and it's? It's a no brainer that Gobert burn gets three matches. Suppose he should've been fighting tonight. before covid nineteen October, nineteen. That's applaud the car, so yeah, for all the way division, and the the the martial art fans of the world that don't like quote unquote. Holding divisions I think that's a good thing, but I. Honestly I love chaos at Moscow had one I. Think I, think it would have been fun time in the world of May. And Mazda all. Let's be clear. We all know this. He was the a side heading into this fight. He's the reason. There was a lot of buzz and a lot of fanfare when you had a guy like game bread in the street that he's on. That's what happens, but a lot of people wanNA know where he goes from here. Because despite losing the fight tonight, he still has a ton of options moving forward. Chaos can still rain in some way Jose. Can you say that again? You cut off quick second. Chaos can rain. For horny Mas at all got about it because he's got so many options moving forward despite the loss tonight. Yeah, I mean Hoy Mazdas. All I'm Kamara. WHO's been himself set like he's GonNa. He's like. He's like he's GonNa. Lose all these like excuses. Bill didn't talk the finance days notice flu costs. The country doesn't have was coach in the gym, covert nineteen this and that so like I. Don't think I of course I think Mazda obviously cooled anytime. You lose. You cool a little bit Conor McGregor and Nadir's, and it's such an insane finish that they run it back, and you have another epic fight like that, but for Mazda all you're obviously going to a little bit but he himself said. Let me, get a couple of wins and they'll run back. I'm sure he want. He would love to five full camp but the Colby College. Is there I? Think that is going to drum up a whole lot of interest I. think people might even be more interested in that fight in the dynamic between those two fires, oarsmen and I think that Kobe Covington already Moslems? Fight does not need a title online. That's just two guys. They hate each other I wanNA break brick on each other's faces. WHO'S MCCANN? Fight Gillard. Leeann, Edwards of course out there, wonder boy thompsons, working his way up Santana, positive I think has covered to so he somewhere out there, so the welterweight division will move, but for now Mazda all. Of course cooled, but he's still I think still the hottest commodity hundred seventy pounds.

UFC 251: Kamaru Usman vs. Jorge Masvidal
"Island becomes a reality. Well, I guess it's already a reality. But there will actually be fights there, and it's actually Gosh! Maybe one of the best certainly form in my opinion, the best card they've had since they've come back the UFC But really good card. A lot of big names. And then, of course, the main event of the evening is a fight that Probably should have been on the card anyway. What We ended up plucking out, I suppose. With Moscow it all being put in against Guzman. So I wantto talk a little UFC 2 51 Maybe Look at some of these potential wagers and get Ah Someone who used to frequent this show. It needs to come on on Maura, and that's on me. Scott Kanevsky joins me now, Scott. Good to catch up, man. How are you? I feel like a first time long time been awhile. It has been a long time. And how are you? How's the family? How's everything going doing well, and I appreciate you having me on thinking about me and things were going well, and things are only gonna get better tomorrow night. Yeah, absolutely. Did you laugh at Dana White when he said when he first brought up Fight Island? Yes. And no. Because you know you crazy enough that he was probably speaking the truth. You figured, you know, maybe he has something going and he's crazy enough and has the money the backing toe pull something off like that, And sure enough, here we are. I mentioned at the beginning How good this card in is and it's not just mustered all versus Guzman by it. Man. Did we luck out? Right? I mean, my you know, I feel bad for the dude who had to pull out and it doesn't get a fight Guzman tomorrow but as a card, it's so much better now that master dolls on it, don't you think? Agreed. Gilbert Burn, We'll get another shot at some point. I mean, hopefully next in line for whoever wins tomorrow night. But this is a fight Everybody wanted. You know, already. Mas Vidal inducement aren't exactly the best of friends. They've been talking for a while. They had that the altercation back in the states. It was Super Bowl on radio row. So this is something everyone's been wanting to see. And now with Byrnes Contracting Cove it we're going to get it on. I think that's just made a already really intriguing AA fight cars that much better. Now I got burned by Justin GHT because I was all in on Tony Ferguson in that fight like it's not gonna happen. It's not gonna happen twice, right? I mean hospital is not gonna win. This thing is he Okay. From a mm a standpoint, I have to say no. And I would agree with you. But if you're going to talk, betting going all in and you've seen what's happened over the last 24 36 hours. Money is just money and tickets are pouring in on Mas Vidal. He's he's gone from about a plus 2 25 plus 35 to a plus 1 85 last I saw earlier today. I believe there would be MGM believe put out there that they're taken 81 ticket being booked for Mas Vidal. And you know, you know what they say. You gotta follow the money. So it just Somebody knows something, or is it just It's obviously not just big bets that are coming in on Mas Vidal, but there's no number of that's coming on him. And that just makes you wonder if someone I'll be just like you know where agree like you. It was all set up for Tony Tow. Go in there and handle him and take him to the ground and didn't but You know, maybe he'll learn from that. Now. What's what's mobs but all going to be able to do to be Guzman. That's the big question. You know, he's better on the feet, obviously, but you know who's going to try and take him down and out wrestling? So How? How does Ma's little battle that and managed to Ah, toe? Hold him off? I don't know. I think I'm right there with you. And I just looked at Fanduel and they have mustered all that plus 200 right now. So even though that's a little bit longer odds, then maybe MGM has that still down as you said Scott from 2 25 or something like that just a couple of days ago, and I guess oh, so let me ask you this if we do the betting thing I I have Guzman minus 2 45 or mosque it all plus 200 Or and then of course, you could get into it. Um, I took in my parlay. I took Guzman just straight up because I got enough other stuff in my parlay that I'm going to get pretty good odds out of it. But if you were laying down, Abed, would you would you do it smarter, Would you Dumas fit all Okay, so I would I would wait until about 15 to 30 minutes before fight and see where those odds are because of who's come down to, like, minus 200. I think you jump on him because they're getting more value for him. And firstly, I think he does come through with the wind, and he's just going to grind it out. But if that money starts about bounce backto mas Vidal, you know, I think, and you're looking to take a shot. You're willing, you know, maybe you had a good night on the earlier fight. Maybe maybe you going on and on and you take that shot. Just hope he comes with that flying me. He landed on aspirin
