I'm sorry. Couldn't disagree with you more. I live here. I live with people. I have friends of mine who I disagree with politically you but our Justus patriotic as you just his patriotic is me. They just have a different view. Now I'm not talking about the the teeth of people who are out rioting in the streets of Portland. I'm not talking about the people who created the autonomous Zone in Seattle. I'm not talking about the guy that smashed the police officer, the police superintendent over the head with a baseball bat in the Brooklyn Bridge yesterday. They're criminals. They talk about them, because if you don't talk about them when I talk about Americans, they're not singing what we say. Okay, but you know who I talk about those people all the time. I just, You know, there are people out there who have so far to the right from you. The boogaloo people and all of that They're on the same side of the spectrum as you are. But you don't encompass the segregation is the racist. You're not a racist. You're not a segregationist. Oh, my gosh. All of you saying is that that they're not patriotic because they may be far right on some political spectrum, but they want to take us in in in a direction that none of us want to go into. I agree with that. But that's why we have to fight the world thing and Dan Are attacking sports. Listen, I was a big sports guy lied love baseball football. Doesn't who doesn't Right now they're making it political. They want to attack or, you know, we I used to sit and enjoy a football game on a Sunday afternoon. Now I gotta look at the jerseys with all these Different things on its political. This's what they should be Nothing on the NFL. Jersey says that there's nothing on the NFL jerseys. But what I'm saying is Dan America Wake up. All right, is a great country. You know, there's no doubt about that. There's no doubt about that. You weekend. That's one lit on that note of agreement. Lettuce and this conversation and come back soon, Okay. Hi, buddy. Thank you Have a great weekend. Goto. Joe is in Worcester. Joe, You're next on nights I go right ahead. Hi. Yes. I'm sorry. Uh, we certainly need to be culturally sensitive now in this 21st century, See it all around me. I even in Worcester now they like they like Questioning whether it should remove the statue of Christopher Columbus, because that's going to be offensive to people outside the unions. I don't understand why we're going to such extremes it it's like What are we to do next? We're going to start censoring textbooks. Any references to quote has must be removed because it is a contestant or of of of centuries ago. Are we gonna and then even in Rhode Island? You can't say V J Day in August because that is not culturally sensitive When you memory farming magazine. A rose, But I think by the way, correct me from raw a day, which is August 15th I booked. Uh, the only state in the union that still celebrates. I guess the end of World War two, which would be VJ day because Germany had been dispatched. Who is little Rhode Island, Rhode Island and remember what it was called V J Day in my youth, but now it's been renamed something else to be culturally sensitive way We are going to be extreme. Where? My God, what is next, But we're going to remove. I think I think we should. I think we should apologize for for for for inflation of apologize for the Of the expansionism of imperialism and Southeast Asia during during the 19 thirties. No, no, no, I think we should apologize for having been involved in World War two And saved saved the world on you. No way should have been suggested. When I say that while you say that you're out there, I want to rewrite history. You know, Go read Howard Zinn's history of America. The United States was always wrong. We did nothing other than you know, to try to plunder and loot. Look, the left is we don't know where we were aided our enemies by rebuilding their country know the Marshall plan never happened. Never have pegged. Actually, it's revisionist history. So really value way we are engaged in revisionism with we need to be very deliberate and what we say what we conceptually you. It's like It's like what is occurring now would never have occurred in the sixties and Mei Yue Pitts it's become. It's gone to an extreme and then we have these extremists. Bitter, bitter rioting and looting and not all of them. I mean, certainly if it's if it's an orderly civil formation, but I mean, when you when you Justify Breaking plate glass windows on corporate buildings and wounding Ah, How do you justify routing of even proprietorships here in western of the DC you center? How do you justify destruction of private property? Really, really, though it's justified by a concept called moral relativism. For what? Yeah, Whatever way we're going to become coach cultural relativists and be fearful of mentioning anything that may may offend someone because Because historically some event occurred so it must be removed from any any commemoration of those events way historians offensive in terms of how we refer to it. Their academic historians who will argue that the United States Lord Japan into the attack on pro so really the attack on Pearl Harbor, we were expanding our fleet defict and that was a threat..

"Show the very next day I get a call from NBC. Car from. CBS Fox News the BBC A. Values like Canadians in our I'm so series. This is all in one day the next day after. This is Monday morning in an interview after interview after interview I'm on radio. I'm on TV shows. I'm everywhere speaking about you. Know the dancing dead in his baby. You know Michael's the dance and ill at you are my. Paper The dancing dad is for his for his little boy to buy. It's unlike Oh, set by is is so cool on the Washington, Post. Everywhere was just. They were they in. It was out of nowhere. I went from Gaza followers to over fifty thousand followers within like a day in dislike, this is crazy. So that's when the ship actually happy in God, I said I get it. Doing this because it's making people feel. A different way in look at life from a different perspective right in all I was doing was being obedient, right? His will be happy understand. Obedience sometimes require sacrifice, but not all sacrifices obedient. We have to understand that right I'm a guy that was wanting to go dance for you know the biggest stages. Stadiums thirty thousand people here in near the guy was. Sitting there limiting you know my ability why Dan Sport thirty thousand people when I can have you dance and speak to millions of people across the world with this story? Sometimes we take our. Situation we look it as a as a Debbie Downer when really she looking at it as an opportunity to how we want to come out on the other side of. It was essay the solid time. Will we change the mind? We changed gay. Cheese the mind he cheese the gate. Seventy percent of illnesses start within the mind. Start within the mind that means, we can end with the mind, right. I all I was doing every day in the hospital was shifting the atmosphere shifting. Might my son's mentality like Hattab? Happy? Happy had only happy thoughts the whole time. Nothing angry nothing sad. None of that was answer. That's how everything started to shift in my life in now becoming one of the top motivational speakers in positive development as I've been wanting to ask you how you came up with shift. Makers the title and then also reading about your event. Would you share you out shifts makers? Yes, ship makers is something that was birthed from this entire situation with with Gobi Ninety. I pay attention to my audience, a lot in I pay attention to what I see when link nine and seeing how things play out and. A lot of people hit me up all the time for advice or whatever it is that they need to be gone through. For example there is a woman that was diagnosed with with cancer the same time Christian was which she added went into remission. In mid twenty eighteen, and then just a few weeks ago, she hit me up. That the kids have turned. So the doctors now deeper six months live is type of stories that I'm hearing in see. There's an another woman who her husband on. Takes Central, pretty hard with their daughter does he really has really accepted the fact that his daughters is different and special instant. A mental block from that like your son or daughter is not audible regular right? I mean what is that today? You know what is regular. were all different were on different beans? Each person has a different type of fingerprint. So therefore nobody is the actual seeing what the problem is that we cherish what we see the outside versus what we see when the inside right, we don't share it the organs. The heart is much as we cherished what we see in someone's face in what we're trying to in the world. So. What I saw with Kobe team a so people that were depressed. I seen that people were you know with people losing their jobs and people weren't about money and people weren't about how we're going to get to the next thing we'd say. We lost sixty five percent of our business. Assist Zuber income in twenty ninety right? And this is how your fate true is. A started digging digging into my. started reading on different things like leadership books on. The book that re now is the five levels of leadership by John, Maxwell. Educating myself on these different aspects of life to help make shift mentally. I exist the first thing to do. If we any type of income money whatever it is, you gotta be mentally prepared for this type stuff. So when I saw that people were you know divorce rates are going up. Domestic violence is going up turn culminating on the okay hold on. We need to make a little ship year in in people's mentality in. Let's be honest. The first half of twenty twenty has been who. The Forever. Thing they said. This is the Europe This is the year Asian will. The truth is truly current up. The truth is coming out from from from a pilot Romo, political standpoint to test truly are as as white as. As a as a child as as a worker, the truth is coming out how this has impacted the entire globe. Period right? So how do we make the shift for the second half of twenty twenty and then happens when twenty be better than the for separate twenty so? There's a ship that is actually happening. Assistance should take place I believe that we are taking the bull by the horns at this point right now, but we just need an extra push why we created shift leaks because we want people to take not on their story, right within tickets story in us the challenge. What the experience with Covid nineteen in how they over eighteen, but this is. Is Racing at the that they need. They don't need just the motivation is breaching, but they need someone like myself and my team to help them apply. The knowledge is well, too. Shouldn't make us just not a virtual environment. It's also going to be of course that we created. Within the course go through these three strategies because again we need a plan rate for the next thing that comes have to have a plan and we have to be ready so number one is said yet, Mister, which we spoke about earlier number two. Is the pillars of shrimp in a number three is using your give to make the ship right so with sitting me atmosphere. It's about weeding out all the negative or the drama identifying who is what you in who is not for you? Don't be afraid to tell some people this. You gotta go okay. This is all about making the shift here in. A lot of times, we're afraid to be a little rude, not really rude, but you're just being sure okay. We'll give route in industry confused this is you know you're not good for my spirit? You're not look good for my soul acute. Have you're my light because you know I'm protecting my personal Pete's. Because when I I I'm just individual. I'm not judge as a group. You such individually on what I do on this planet on this Earth interview are toxic toxic in my life. Keen happy here I got. Cut You off so.

"Cardinals baseball. Nice. Do I love cubs fan? But I'm used to get beat up by you guys. What's going on? Traffic and weather at the top of the hour. Right. I'm an AM guy. But I just sat through that. I didn't know what I've got you know, I started off tiger. But I'm listening to Mike Lee. And he's like he doesn't care about golf tiger. You know, I gotta look, Mike. This is all new to me your show. I love the the ads and flows. How you structure, so he probably got another listener the Mike you're missing. You're listening the ultimate the ultimate athlete the ultimate sport. You know, you'd be hard pressed to find what these guys with the purse was on Sunday unless you looked it up. You know, the the guy that drops in time to time or the spouse on a Thursday to like why is this? I played on Thursday. He's not playing on Saturday. How much are they paying for is it free? So, you know, one point eight million dollars, right? Or was it one eighteen and then the guy's swat fifty seven. He's gonna take all right around thirty K. But when I watched the NBA I look at a bunch of crybabies wanna go play with their frames for five year one twenty or even baseball even here in cardinal town cardinal nation. I mean, it's all about how much you make divided by how many years you're signed for your money money money. And that Sunday was something entirely different. Do thank you. Thanks for the call and Saint Louis, we love first time, callers, we love people to discover the show, and it's very cool view to say that you like the you dig or doing work hard at it. The guys doing amazing job and. I've reached age, man. Thank you for the call. It's a good point. And I'm not mad at people were making their money in this world like go out there and get it. I don't know how Steve's doing it. But otherwise, I go there yet it but yesterday it wasn't about cash dollars. It was about something those muscles in vigor and cooler and deeper. It was really I've found to be a really meaningful. Dan, sports that maybe the most meaningful that I've had as a fan watching the sport. While the Ron St Louis that's great eight five five two one two four CBS and stream radio dot com. You can have as anywhere, and if you're ever away from your incredible affiliate were off, the not always more off and on Sirius XM two oh, six sometimes. There's baseball trace gets mad and throws things. It's okay. Trace, Mike and Myrtle Beach. Appreciate you. Listen to the show here on CBS sports radio. Thanks for taking my call. I listen every day. I'm in my car twenty four seven and you have a great show. There's never a dull moment, but about tiger. I'm happy that he was he won. And he's a living legend. He's another Michael Jordan. He's another icon. I hope he wins more. He's he's awesome. But my point is that if it happened to someone like me that would set me back like years, I wouldn't be able to make money lose my apartment. I would lose a lot of things, and that's not fair to a a lot of us now common day, folks. But he belongs in golf and not to take away from him. But just how society works, and that that's my point pretty much. Thanks for taking my call. Yeah. Mike Frisia, man. No, you're right. A lot of us would be out be gone. Although. I think maybe more analogous would be. If I became physically unable to my job it had an addiction issue and had a DUI. I will lose my job. I'd like to think if that's part of the attraction tiger that. If I if I conquered that icon heard that addiction, and I got myself back to a good place that I be given a chance by somebody. And that I'd have an opportunity. To redeem my own career, my own memory of what I who. I used to be that's part of the appeal for me a tiger. What's thanks for the call at eight five five two one two four CBS. I thought it was cool. And I appreciate that perspective. We will circle back to in by the way, you know. Actually, I wanted to learn what Tiger Woods eight five five two two four CBS. I want to say what I said in the first hour. I know that wherever you're listening. You're busy going on to me. The magic of what happened yesterday is incredible about more than sports because in the fall on our last caller tiger was broken. He had an addiction issue. And addiction is and I'm lucky I got a lot of foibles, and I got a lot of weakness. But that's just not one of them. I can drink and stop drinking. I can go to Vegas and play poker. And then turn it off. I'm talking to a buddy of a neighbor, I should say who was talking about the sort of the psychology and what the brain does to to gamblers and and gambling addicts. I've and I'm not judging you do your thing. I've just never drugs have never been. My thing is not marijuana's legalized on a policy level. I've got no problem with it. It doesn't affect me. That's not I like to drink wine to drink beer, like drink bourbon, and I can stop doing it for three weeks. If I needed to lose weight, or whatever. But I have loved ones who have there's some addiction that runs in my family, and I have loved one to who who have been through that. And so I root for people to overcome that. I recognize that I've seen the damage it can do. I'm not going to give up on the human being because of that tiger head physically lost himself, that's spinal fusion surgery that experimental surgery that was a a prayer, man. And obviously his personal life that he he wrote that on himself, you do reboot yoursel, especially in your own personal life. And he did. And I'm not saying what he did was. Okay. As a husband. It's not it's wrong. I'm not saying that's my lifestyle. It's not. I I do the opposite. That's my goal to try to be a good father and husband, those that are fathers, husbands or anything. You know? Those things are easier said than done. So I'm not endorsing that approach to life. I must not route from will be miserable. Because he made a terrible mistake. I love what happened yesterday because it was a reminder in the most poignant sports way possible we are all capable of greatness. And we are all capable of making terrible mistakes have life kick our ass. And it's nice to see somebody who is both get back to the better version of himself. I'm rooting for tiger. Because it's like rooting for human beings in general to be a better version of ourselves. So we've all had moments we've all made mistakes. Luckily, my lows have never been Tigers lows. My eyes have never been remotely close to tiger size. But I'm a guy that's been in a car wreck and almost took his life. And when I was young, and I don't remember this, obviously almost died when I was one year old did a face her jumps right at my crib surgery. And my parents, you know, impacts my parents have a huge scar my head as a result of it. I've screwed up career opportunities. And somehow keep having these these weird goals that are Mike what I'm doing right now. And again, that's me. You know, Ryan got his personal stuff. He's gone through and stews gone through his stuff, and you've gone through yours or your family as for me and Tiger Woods. I'm I'm not for the guy because like Yay. He cheated on his wife with a Perkins waitress and fifty other people, and he did it. No, man. It's it is nice to see the ability of human beings to persevere not just in the face of unfairness. That's going to happen. Put his own mistakes and overcome them. I'm a fan of golf from fan. Tiger woods. I'm just a fan of what I just described. So good for that guy. That's my take eight five five two one two four CBS for your take Joan Indiana. Thank you for your time. Thank you for listening here on CBS sports radio. Thank you. Life is all about choices. Tiger made some horrible ones, and he has paid dearly. Why he did yesterday with a nominal? But it was also the fact that he has been there before and he knew exactly what to do. It's just I don't care what phase of life you on what job you're working life. It's about twice in the mid one. You make the better your life and your fantastic sticking point. Thank you. Joan. Thank you, Indiana. Appreciate you free your very much and by the way, shoutout to everybody. Listen, but also twelve forty AM in Saint Louis, Louis, Missouri. Newly on the air there, and I actually interned at the Saint Louis post dispatch newspaper when I was a junior in in college I worked at the newspaper. I worked on the news side metro east and Saint Louis lived on the hill. Mad at Saint Louis has got some incredible Italian food. That's my favorite restaurant. I was telling my three favorite restaurants in the world is a place Grosso's thinking. The city, but Michael Garozzo the owner and founder of girls is the one down or went to the one downtown learned how to do what he did on the hill of St Louis so great to be on the St Louis stop eating of my Cubbies to stop. I know I know a good view to stop it. Eight five five two one two four CBS is the phone number Jerry in Wisconsin. Thank you. For listening, buddy. You're on CBS sports radio. Hey, I just wanted to call first time caller. And I just wanted to say great show. I watched that whole tournament from beginning to end yesterday and understanding that he went through all these surgeries and everything else. No, one knows how anybody handles pain how they control pain and for him to do what he did yesterday. Put a little hope and all this whole guys that maybe we can do something that we talked. We couldn't do anymore. I love that Jerry. Thanks for the call, dude. That buddy. Thank you for being the first time caller, really appreciate listen. You're always welcome at eight five five two one two four CBS. It's a really interesting point to point and one normally I probably wouldn't be able to relate to but and again is not a thought thing every day. But the guys know stewing Ryan made fun deserve it. When I was moving out of my place in New York, we gave a lot of stuff away. And I threw my back out really aggressively. And I couldn't stand remember. And I could like sit in the chair was. Yeah, it was bad. And I'm literally he'll I mean, I don't know if I'm. I haven't played golf haven't played tennis. Haven't played hoops. I haven't gone for a run the guys could see on Skype in like three three weeks, and I'm gonna try tonight, and that's just a three week sort of VAT within and you're right. "And I hear this a second aniversary wedding. I loved it. I saw another one this weekend thought it was one of those cameo things. But it was just Antonio Brown. Telling Derek Carr, he was open. I'm not joking. He just comes out of the box with DC. I'm open. How do you think this is going to go friend Tonio and Oakland? Oh, he's gonna make a lot of money to go. Well. I think it's gonna go well in terms of production. I mean, he's got thirty million guaranteed to Dan sport. And then. Yeah. From a production standpoint, I think it'd be grazed not closer to the Super Bowl. But he got more guaranteed money on the other side of thirty. It's gonna go great because those checks are going to keep clearing. The raiders aren't going to go out of business before they go to vague vis a lot further away from the Super Bowl. But he's a lot closer to retirement. I mean, I mean, he's just closer to more money, which is what he wanted. Right. Yeah. Which at first it didn't seem that way. And then you realize that was a play here. No state taxes in Nevada which is where they're moving next year. It's just kinda hard for me to have faith at this will go well because it's the raiders for one. We have talked a number of different times with receivers like Steve Smith, Michael Irvin. Michael Irvin told that great store, you might have it. There of something that happened in the Super Bowl with him an Alvin Harper, but over the years, we have talked to all of the diva receivers, and in their most honest moments what you will get from them as I'd rather have the ten catches for one hundred thirty yards in. Loss than two catches for ten yards in a win. So stop making it about winning. And losing even though that might be the important thing to you the athlete winds when he cashes in in that sport with guaranteed money. But I'm not sure he's gonna get a catches. How am I supposed to reconcile what I saw with Mark Hooper? I thought Amari Cooper was washed because he just wasn't productive as a young player because because if it doesn't work there like it didn't work for Randy moss than two years from now, we'll have that same contract and he'll play somewhere else when Jon Gruden get blown out and may get blown out. He'll have the same contract and go somewhere else to play the end of a thirty three year old in the last year of a deal. But this was his time to cash in. It's why he did it with such deal. Like, it's what the reason that he did it is because of the way negotiations went with Ben Rothlisberger getting extended two years before they had to and they didn't do that for Antonio Brown. It was his absolute last chance ever to get thirty million plus guaranteed, and that's it took it in credit to the raiders because they were making some pretty confusing deals over there. Oakland. This is relatively low risk. They got him. If all the costs is money and a couple of food the productiveness of that guy is crazy. I can't believe the Steelers took this offer. I just can't. I'd rather Antonio Brown. Just sit than have a third and fifth round pick. I would he had to take the offer. He poisoned the well. And by certain reports, he wasn't exactly playing ball. With other offers that were out there. It's funny man with no real power. He had all the power, regardless. We'll leave it alone and come back to with Bill Barnwell in a second. But Jose Canseco, and I'm still waiting ESPN. Let's go thirty for thirty on just can take. Oh, he deserves it..
