"A couple of furlongs in trip will suit him here. He's around about 8 or 9 to one. He looks a handicapped project to me and I thought he was a decent bit of value in a trappy little race. I covered that race on talks for the run in the last day. And I was quite bullish about him winning it. I really liked that debut and has just a little bit disappointed with him, but I've watched that race back several times. Doyen star was really good. Real and full credit to Tony McCormick, he put him up on the day at ten to one. And he still got shot the entries and Evan Williams apparently thinks an awful lot of them. So that race might actually be worth an awful lot more than it looked at the time. And I wouldn't be dismissive at all of Julie smoke. That being said, colonel Harry was who I landed on, took advantage of a big drop in class after finishing fourth in the Talbot hurdle in grade one company when winning at Newcastle at the end of January, under a penalty, the negative firm in my mind is he likes to dominate and there's going to be competition for the lead. Made all the last day and looked pretty damn good there and there was plenty more to come at the line Jamie Snowden's got a 38% strike rate at the track, Gavin Sheehan, again, having a terrific season 28% of Kelso, I thought he could run a big race. So we're all going in different directions there. Carla Harry for myself. For Kerry Lee for Chester and Ho chili smoke for Mark Milligan. We've got the try cast lads. We've got to try guest sorted. The 3 o'clock is a handicap hurdle over two miles and 5 furlongs Santos blue heads the bedding just about for that man Dan skeleton, having won his last two. He's a blue brezel and he's four to one with beta. Dance with the wind. 5 to one shot, Nelson, having his first run after a wind up is 6s and man's glory for The Good Doctor, a 7 to one shot Chester, who do you like? I found this is a really hard to judge. There are a lot of forces that have won worst races as well. Four or 5 horses that won the worst races last time out and actually they're stepping up and now you're putting together like a lot of horses that are a lower level. I didn't particularly think there was an obvious bet, but if I had to go down by colors to one, it would probably be no sun. He won the premiere of his hurdle on the meeting at the meeting last year and it's been touched sporting this season, but he ran he ran well in the last run in a good handicap and cheltenham. No, he has been dropped two pounds. That is now four pounds below his best mark. And I just think he obviously had was the track well. He obviously handles the conditions well. Two more four won't be a problem for him. So he's proven up as good enough for this level. Whereas there aren't many horses in here that are proven speaking enough to this level. So he would be the one for me, but there wasn't an obvious back for me in this race. Yeah, there wasn't an obvious bit for me either. I like jewel course when her dance with the wind, but it was a tentative selection. It wouldn't be bullish. Mark, what about you? Yeah, I was exactly the same as two to be honest. I wasn't overly enamored with anything in the race from a betting point of view and did come down on Santos blue just because he's only a 6 year old, he's lightly raced, he's progressive. He gets on well with his amateur rider as well, but certain who's written him to his last two wins to be honest when I was going through the race earlier, I wasn't expecting him to be a joint favorite because he's up in grade and that kind of just throws me off a little bit, but tentatively, I'm going to stick with Santos blue, even though I don't think there's massive amounts of mileage in his price at the moment. Tricky always that one. We're going to have a grand national contender lining up in the three 35 and each way options will be gone because zanzi is due to run at newbury so unless something really weird happens here he's declared for this, but his preferred engagement is newbury and we all know he absolutely loves that track. So we'll talk about him in a few minutes. Let me Los is the 15 to 8 favorite for the premier listed chase with beta and it's all roads to the grand national of the shunter winner on this card two years ago. Hundreds of 30 for Emmett Mullins and Dunham Milo. Wishing and hoping for melroy, Alex Edwards 13 years young now at 8 to one shot and empire steel for sandy Thompson is an 11 to one shot with bed deck as we record Chester leaders off again. Is this going to be a winning step to the grand national for the Hennessy winner let me Los? I thought it's a really sharply little race to not actually rolling into the bar. To their bark will probably be enough to win. If any horse is able to even do that, it would be lost as being very good since his story that I've done scouted and now he obviously won the gold cup and that was that was really good for you mastered who's once. But I would just fear that the grand national was very much the aim and they would have left plenty to work on so I'm sure all of that the question definitely and I don't think they'll have the ready to peek and at the 72 or 7 and a half for him, which is on the short side is what banger and some of the new brilliant and that was super nice too. I just feared that he'll find it all a bit sharp and I think really the center is the one to go for in this race.

"Park in the eider at Newcastle. That is the bed deck multiple for me. Mark's giving you trouble. I've given you a treble. Hopefully, we'll be swimming in gravy. Have you had a look at the grand national bayonet jans? I haven't looked in any great depth. I will be doing in the next week or two because I'll have a column R two terrain. But I understand you have taken a bit of a look. Yeah. But that was one of the things we discussed before in the world. But again, no selections were shared off air. I was looking at it for talks too today. And let me last as mark of one 5 two is pretty fair. Especially when I consider interviewing Dan skeleton and Harry skelton. On the final for a long and for talk sport, they both sound very, very bullish about them. But just look at what he did in the Hennessy. He beats remastered, who absolutely bolts up at kempton in his next art. Jericho rock, who finished third, had been runner up in the ultimate Shelton and is now out for the season. Caric rambler and obviously is the ultima winner. He's 9 links behind. And they're sounding confident about him at Sheldon. Bustleton, a Cary grand national winner, well held in 5th, and some favorite of the weekend are now second favorite. Bolted up in a handicap in January and ask a release. When a grade two novice chase last weekend, I don't trust Oscar Lee to back that up, by the way. But that form is damn good. And quotes of 20 to one, 25s, in fact, about let me loss look very fair. But the one that I'm really keen on having been very keen on gay art the menil. Only to look at the excellent poll Ferguson, whether these children festival betting guide and go down through the stats and be reminded of what a horrible record 7 year olds have in the race. And yes, noble yeats is a 7 year old. And was a great winner of it last year. But you got to go back to 19 diggity do. Literally, we're not just joking this time, 1940s. For the last 7 year old to win prior to noble yeats. I don't think the floodgates have now suddenly opened and that the 7 year olds are just going to start sweeping the grand national to glory. For all the care de menils got a great profile for it, placed in the Irish grand national. One, a grade one, over three miles, the Neville hotels, a better mention that for Karl and trace, hello Kyle and trace. And congratulations to both of you, by the way. I'll just say that. But the level of hotels chase Garrett Manuel won really well. That race fell apart. And it's a difficult one to watch back, given what happens if we're three straight life. But to be fair, chuck charts don't worry about it the other day. But he's a 7 year old. And so is the other horse that I would have had on my mind, mister incredible. They just have a horrible record in the race. So I've come down in fury road. Who's a very, very classy horse in this day, as Dennis Regan said the other day, third in the potato race to monkfish and latest exhibition with time hill and Janet Dillon behind and look at these last 5 starts. He ran a blinder at entry last year when second in a grade one novice chase to a hoist in your, we know what he's done this season, third to cappadona in a great one novice chase that punches down. He's won a down royal at the beginning of the season. He's been third in two grade ones in his last two starts to conflate it at Christmas time and to the superstar chaser in the game. Gallup on deschamps at the Dublin racing festival. Three of the last 6 winners owned by Michael Ely's gigant. Make it four of the last 7. 33 to one fury road. Let's go. And there's no point in even talking about the waste because as Paul said, it's irrelevant these days. With that compressed handicap, the weight just is no longer a thing to feature on. Up until 2014, you'd be knocking horses with 11 stone out, you'd just go, no chance. Absolutely 11 stone ten good night and good luck you're gone. No chance of winning. Even 11 stone

"Also in ride a horse at doncaster. I can't think it was. And he was getting absolutely crucified. And he gave the horse a good ride. He said, oh, he's gone in front too soon. But you know what? All the way up the street. There was no horse going better than him. And the horses took him to the front. Sometimes it happens. It happens to the best of us. And he's just got caught and then everyone will know, he shouldn't have rode that shouldn't have rode out and that just give him a break. He's well capable of doing the job and yeah, I mean, he's not riding that also, I don't know, there might be a reason for that, but listen he can do the job and it's interesting to go back to Barbados box that he's had a wind up as well when he's come back and he sort of shown a bit of form again as well. So the wind ups certainly looks like he's done the job. Yeah, he's had the two runs since then, but this ground will help him. Good ground is what he would prefer. He was pulled out on soft ground at linfield back in November. So he's an interesting one as well, but we will take the piss out of David Maxwell when it suits us, but overall I think the hatred of him and the stick that he gets online is way over the top. The good news is he's never said they make it out of their mouth must be honest. Give it time. Give it welcome to the world of the final furlong. Maxwell. He's a fellow jockey. I'm not doing it. Oh, the jockeys union is in season. Mark, the jockeys unions in season, you better hold your criticism of any of the jockeys or Marty will be taking his task. Just go for it. Go to war, boys. Mark, who do you like? Yeah, well I thought Barbados books had probably the best form claims, but he's not being missed in the market, is his favorite. West of the bridge interested me here, although he's into the veteran stage now, he really hit form about this time last year, didn't he racked up a four time and the final win of that four timer came off a mark of a 136. He's now down to a 132, so he's four pounds below that last winning mark. An interestingly, he's been dropped into the pound since his last run, which I think was his best run of the season. He was second that new talks. He made the running there. Now they've been holding him up this season prior to that. They went back to making the running that you've talked to last time, and that was how he went his four races last season. And when his four races from the front. So they've corrected the tactics now. They've gone back to the tactics that suit this horse best four pound below his last winning mark. I think he's hovering around the 7 to one Mark, something like that. There's plenty of value there about west of the bridge. Mo, do you think you'd want a little bit of dig in the ground though? Yeah, that was a little concern for me. When I had a look through all those four wins last season on easy ground, didn't they? That would that would be my one concern, but the same time, 7 to one, so I'm thinking the price is kind of offsetting those concerns. Yeah. As you say, and it's sort of the racers cut up a bit. There's a few non runners that there was a few early entries that are sort of looked at and fancy, but now when you were invictus, I mean, when I first looked at it, I knew invictus was like a 8 9 to one shot. Now he's 92. So it's definitely cut up. So yeah, on that basis alone, you'd give him the chance. He has a number of horses came out of this race. Yeah, walking on air is worse, we've talked about quite a few times. Apple rock, they came out. I think Gary Moore's yet. There was a few to come out. That even caught me up. You mentioned in glimpse of gold in the bloody horse was gone from the race. Thanks for hitting the old refresh button on the safari up there. Oh, dear. So Philip's Tom O'Brien for Maddie and it is west to the bridge. For a Dan skeleton, my hopes were taken out of this race. So I'll go with the two boys. The Bedford denman chase, Paul Nichols and Harry cobbs and team up with hitman. 7 to four favorite with beta as we record El Dorado island for Brendan Powell, spoke to him today. You'll get to hear from Brendan Powell tomorrow. In fact, we're releasing a special edition of the final forum tomorrow. You'll hear from Darrell Jacob Brendan Powell and Harry carbine. Yes, finally, it's going to be released. It's an interview from two weeks ago, but there's a lot of gold inside there. I spoke to Brendan Paul today, Daryl Jacob yesterday. It's about an hour long, there's some really, really interesting stuff there. That's going to be available to you in the morning. And he was quite bullish about El Dorado island. First time cheek pieces for him at 11 to four shot, fanny and Detroit for venetia Williams for horses are still a little bit. Kind of the faster, a little bit way, a little bit wow, a little bit. Four is Charlie deutsch on board. Does he know? Goes well fresh was really good at cheltenham the last day, 7 to one could be big. David bass for Kim Bailey about him Maddie, who are you going to side with in the Bedford denman chase? Does hitman get back on track here? Not for me. I

"This time this year and saw was plug tag for that similar winning performance in the back road chair last year. And if he can remember plutarch ensuring he came to the rest of the last year and not being equal in the below power performance in comparison to his goal Copeland and Bedford chairs when I could see the same with that particular protractor. These are in case of stars. Just make sure it just shows you how good kettle star was really. To come back and be unbelievable. Secondly, it was extraordinary. I watched back protectorates entry win, which is when he burst onto the scene as a gold cup contender. And I watched back his bed for a chase win today. Because back in November, I was being very sarcastic about his chances in the bed for a chase. And then had to eat humble pie on the Monday. When he comes out and wins. Joking and having the crack. But then I was listening to what people were saying. And I allowed my brain to get overhauled and overwhelmed by people who were telling me last year or this fellow is the goal a couple for us. This fellow is a serious grade one chaser. And just looking back, first of all, the goal cup. 17 and a half lengths he was beaten into third that day. That's the second biggest margin defeat for a third place finish on the gold cup in the last 20 years. Mon mon was beaten 30 lengths by imperial commander in 2010. And the only other horse to be beaten by that kind of a distance is protectorate. Don polio think was beaten 14 and a half lengths. That's not great. And this is going to be a deeper goal cup. You've got gallop under sharp, conflated. Brave man's game is coming in as well as these horses. You look back at the entry win, the second horse that day was sent off 5 to two was trailing in his wake. He was rising 12 years of age, his next start was the Welsh grand national, he was pretty much on fancy for that, a 16 to one shot. And he's now been retired. I was native river. Tiger roll was in the race he was pulled up. I love both of those horses. They're legends. They were nowhere near. Grade one level chasers that time last year. When he did that, the better fair chase he beats El Dorado island by 11 lengths. He's got form with him already. Brave man's game beats him by twice that twice that distance in the king George. A plutarch bummed out of the race and hasn't been seen since. Bristol dame just didn't seem to fire and hasn't run since, Frodo was beaten 18 and a half lengths, that's the same distance he was beaten by brave man's game, and he was thumped 20 links by a hoist in your the other day. I don't think the form is worth the whole lot with him. What the hell is this saying tennis? When you say that and protector was very ready very early to win the I presume when a horse is as ready as that in November, partly because has to ease off the gas. Around December and early January, obviously you can't keep them going all the way to my actual. So it's kind of a possibility he may have needed that wrong. Yeah, well, look, Dan skeleton trains the arts. And he comes in. That's no problem, but he's come from the parliament camp. And everyone knows all nickels gives our sister a few blacks in January and they just lose form to start falling over the back of the television. Everyone knows that. Brand you still have a couple of winners make them zero there and so are skeletons, but they do. You can't keep turning the screw on a horse. Concept from October November all the way through to the shelter and goal cook. You have to prepare them to be at their best or one day. Or two days. You can not have the method best every single day to go to war because grade ones are so difficult. They really leave America on a horse to really do. And you got to set their stall out T-shirt to win the back purchase. And if they did it in very impressively. Now look, he is the first concerns meta noise. I'm not fully convinced these days to go up a trip. Actually. The last two foreign writing catch him up the hill. And that's why I always liked him as an entry horse, to me, nearly preferably just didn't go to the goal and went straight to entry. Yes, I think he was a bit below the other day. Because I think no one wants to get these horrors to get Harris in January with the ball club and merge. And I think I'm not saying that the trainers are enough having them fit in well. They probably are having them fit in well, but do they have them. The school turned the way it would be for March? I don't think so. Well, see what we've got Harry skeleton on the show next week. So we can ask him in more detail then. Yeah. He's not going to tell you the truth, though. But the flu jab he does defeat was in the trouble. Exactly under a recent development. But the flu chat thing is a very interesting aspect. Because there was a couple of weeks there in January where gun sources were, there were a bit iffy. He was trained in winners, but there was a number of short priced

"Here. Look, I think there's every chance he just bumped into on last time with harder. I think had a really good horse and it just goes back to what we were saying, doesn't it about Willie Mullins and his strength in depth in literally every department. I don't think there was any disgrace in losing out to that one by 11 lens. He was 36 minutes clear of the third horse marveled their cere, who's probably a decent animal in his own right and is probably better than he could show there. Golden Elliott has got a really good record when he comes over to this country's he's running a clip at Warwick on Saturday. Interestingly, this one, the Gopher as the highest official racing of all these and yet of complete and Galileo and himself. He's the biggest prize of the three. So for me, it was just a bit of a no brainer to try and snapple a little bit of value in a four and a race. And he had Manila crooner in this. But he's taking vanilla crooner to punches ten. And so the Gopher golfer, whichever pronunciation you want to go for. This ends up being the selected one to go and look, Gordon's got a great record coming over to the UK. It is remarkable the amount of money that's come in for that horse, I suppose it's just a virtue of how many non runners there are. And at one point state star was in this race. I was inclined to go with Dan skeleton source as well. Or I should say against you and go for Dan skelton's horse. Her record going right handed is zero from three. Now, is that what went against her at kempton? And if it is, why did they do that in the first place? Because she'd already been beaten twice. So they might have just felt that race fitted into the calendar and she would be a little bit more mature now. She's now 7 should have been 6. That maybe she had grown up and matured. And she had been a hugely impressive winner at banger, but she made two bad errors in that race as well. And if you forgive her those and you factor in that she was going right handed and she's now returning to left handed. Then she would be very interesting. But she did make two bad mistakes. And if you're going to do that here, you might get away with one. You won't get away with two. So I like her, but I don't like the price. So I'll skip and the golfer golfer. Give her, could be the one to follow. As Mark Milligan says, two or 5 at kempton is the sylvania Conti chase. It's great too. We get 6 runners. Soft ground, pick Dory for Paul Nichols, obviously he wants to win this race and Victoria is a terrific record at 6 to four with beta as we record. Fergal O'Brien's paint the dream is a 5 to two shots and calvados, a second gone for a Paul Nichols here, but again, you've got David Maxwell and I'm sorry, David, but that was an awful ride at Asuka. When beaten at 72 on, but the horse is definitely capable of popping up and if David gets things right, then that 92 could be big. Angel's breath on first run for Sam Thomas, having switched from Nikki Henderson is a 12 to one shot with bed tack and Sam Tristan Davis will ride. Who do you like in the southern yaku kanti? Yeah, keen on pick Dory in here. I think there's a strong argument to say that he's better than ever at the age of 8. Now he'd had a second wind up before his comeback at Newton now, but and then I thought he was really impressive he only won by two lens, but the way he jumped and traveled in the peterborough at Huntington last time, he took everything out of the comfort zone really with his really quick jumping around there and if he jumps us fluently here as he did in the peterborough hunting them, he's going to have a lot of these in trouble a long way out. I think a nightly say that Paul Nichols is obviously keen to win this the race named after solving our country I've been really want to be with saint calvados and David Maxwell. I think pig dough is the correct favorite in here. He's not going to be a massive price platform. He was by far the most likely winner. Yeah, I love that Peter for a run as well. And he is two from two since the wind up over the summer. And that seems to have just about done the job for him. If he builds on the Huntington performance, if he's better than he was that day, then good luck. And he's banker material in my mind. He's definitely a contender for the bed deck double. For shower. Two 25 as we go back to Warwick is the ballymore leamington novices hurdle great too. And we've got a three to one favorite from Paul Nichols. It's a big weekend for Paul Nichols, knows the road lock and Williams on board three to one with beta, as we record, Jeannie's destiny, Tom Lacey Stan shepherd, 72, same price, but done skeletons, great donning who won on boxing day, impressively in the closing handicap on the king George card. And then there's Gary and Jimmy Moore's geva. And look no further in my mind, also one unboxing day, but in lesser a company, it was a novice hurdle, but did so very, very impressively. He is going to have to carry 11 stone two, but guess what? Everything is carrying 11 stone two. I like his prospects at novel off here, and I particularly like that price. Who are you leaning on here? Oh, I think. Do you understand the century? We've got a difference of opinion, Jeffrey. Back in the 1990s. I know the reference. I know the reference. But can't say that I watched the show. I have a feeling we could well have two naps going up against each other here. What? You're obviously very, very keen on de Vega, and I know that you're keen on giving it because we've spoken about this horse before. Haven't we? I really like noseley road in here. I really like him. I was impressed with his run at chapter last time I was impressed by the way he traveled. I was impressed by how fluently jumped. For me, he looked a great one winner in waiting there the way he went through that race. I think it's interesting that he's now stepping up to grade two company, I think it's a good race for him. It's not an easy race by any means. I think 5 of the field are boast in the time form and P but for me, knows the road is the most impressive of the 5 that have all got the time form P and I was very, very keen on him in here. There's very little between all of these, like Mexico has a rating of one 25. Which is

"Isn't he? But I echo what you say was a tough watch. This wasn't it. And not a race you want to go back and watch again. He wasn't left really with much to beat in the end, was he did what he had to do, comprehensively enough. He's a tourist there, isn't he? So the national chase will be right up his alley and I can see why he's a short price for that because he's a likeable type stairs really, really well. Let's take plenty of beating in that race. Yeah, he will. I keep the faith in Jericho rock. Again, this is a little bit like with LA Tom. Ile top is my 5 star handicap bit for children. As long as Willie Mullins is playing ball and decides what Willie Mullins bingo that that's the race to go for because he's actually qualified as he's one of the few novel settlers that we know can run in a handicap at the Shelton first of all. So I really like you later time for that race. I don't want to take even money 6 to four about the menil for the national launches for all that he's going to take the beating. And I'll be honest, I haven't watched the race back. I can't bring myself to do it. I don't want to. That was a horrible, horrible sight. But look, if you're with the best of luck to you, he's not my price. So I'll leave him alone and Jericho rock is 20, so I'll keep the faith with him for now. Time hill. Now this is a race I've watched back I've watched it back a few times. Jesus fell apart. Completely well done to Phillips. Because we were we were saying in the preview shows with Dennis and with patty asphalt that really what they should have been doing. Why is he not staying over hurdles? This is a fellow who would have a massive chance in the long walk. Oh wait, he's gone and won the great one called a star novice chase. But he's one of Jelena Bello naked mistakes, plundering, and then coming down. The Dan skeleton horse who came in for a huge amount of support, she ended up being pulled up and Mac fabulous finish lame. So was time hill's 15 length victory, a stunning performance that now puts him in with a major chance of winning more grade one novices for the rest of the season, or was this a race to just fell into his lap? It was a

"Little bit more about Ireland in a bit. We'll begin with doncaster and cheltenham, and we're just going to combine two races because who knows how this is going to go. The 1205 at cheltenham on Saturday is going to be on racing TV sky have the one 30 at Dunkirk through the summer juvenile hurdle. That'll be live on ITV four as well. And we've got a lot of forces who are cross entered. So we're going to get these horses running and the question is, do they turn up a Shelton? Or do they turn up a doncaster? So we'll just merge them all into one. Nusrat, who could have gone to ferry house of the weekend, Joseph Ryan chose not to. He comes here. Isaac Sweden, someone here had the favorites are at the brave, who finished second, and he is currently favorite for the race at doncaster. Script writer for Milton Harris, who obviously tore things up last year with night salut, seems to have a ready made replacement in the juvenile division in the X 8 no brain trained runner. Paddy Brennan on board again, 5 to two, made if, who I spoke to Dan skeleton about today, surprisingly bullish about that horse. I have to say, and he also has the option of going to cheltenham or taking up the engagement at doncaster. They're all due to run. It's just a matter of preferences for cheltenham. If that doesn't go ahead, they could be a doncaster. Mark Milligan, what's your take on these juveniles? And what impacts it could or not have on the anti post budding for the festival? Yeah, it's interesting, isn't it? Because obviously over the weekend, we saw moxie mouse, didn't we? He was really, really impressive. And jumped, jumped to the head of the triumph fertile market. She's basically at the head of the triumvir market. Anyway, it wasn't she, but she's gone a really short price. Now, do I think any of these are in that league potentially one or two of them could be I'd be keen to be with nusrat depending on which race he goes for. I'd be within children, I'd probably be with him at doncaster as well. I was really impressed by that hurdling debut at punches down. He was a fair flat performer, wasn't he? He had a peak rating of 91 on the flat. We know Jersey for O'Brien has done really well with this type in the past scriptwriter obviously looks like he could be a really good recruit as well. And he was a better horse. If you take ratings into account, he was a better horse on the flat than I think he had a rating of a 102. So he's obviously well respected as well, but depending on look, I would say we're more likely to get Charlton about this stage than doncaster. As you know, I live in the north of England. I'm about 60 miles northeast of doncaster and it is Baltic here. The ground has not fought out all day, where I live, if there have been similar doncaster that will be really, really, I would say, cheltenham, we know they've got the covers down. They've covered the entire track. I think, haven't they? So I would say cheltenham's more likely to go ahead than doncaster at this stage. Whichever race turns up in, I think I want to be with him. I'm in agreement. I would have liked him at fairy house. I would have certainly preferred him to zarak the brave.

"So we've got Mac fabulous, fusel ruffles, scaramanga, and indefatigable well named sources. As in, well known horses, but betting in the dark, what's your take? I think my father should win this. He didn't run badly at the entry last time, I was with chief pieces on for the first time. And I think he's been waiting for this kind of opportunity. He's not quite a grid one horse over hurdles. Potentially, as I said, last season. Absolutely smashing chess during the making, but he had a setback earlier in the season and Paul Nichols decided to keep over hurdles. This year, and he's not had an ideal campaign. He ran up all of himself on his reappearance on bride that was too soft from the real keel. And then he was probably a sick horse when he ran next time. Bounce back to form to run respectively. Behind epitomes and the entry hurdle, but he's not quite up to that level, but this is a lot easier for you. I even conceding weird to his rivals. A few rounds of the chess of these days doesn't appeal on quick grind going back over. Over hurdles, scaramanga, we haven't seen him since running in the Cesaro, which and I'm not sure, again, his last run was in the handicap hurdle. At this meeting last year, when he won a mark of one four four, he'd have half a chance of that, but his absence is definitely worth and writes them. And you can decide that that's a pointer, but I just think that lorcan Williams was on board with McLaughlin's last MI that makes a bit of sense to allow him to me and Tim that partnership. It decided a little bit of a big chance on our best form. She's not been at her best this season. Not since a very good second, and I had the capital at Shelton in December. And she took a pretty nasty fall in the mayor's hurdle. Last month, I just wondered whether that will, that will impinge on her enthusiasm, which looked to be winning a newbery. In November, she ran very well to win the to win the west Yorkshire hurdle on her reappearance, which given a good ride by Donald J staying wide on the battlegrounds. Using her tactical speed rather than rather than her stamina to win that female contest, she didn't really want to start at newbury next time. And that was the first sign that she was maybe thinking twice about the racing game. It should look very tough and genuine before them, but she didn't really want to set off. She was about to form a cheltenham, as I said, when Lucy waldens mayor, I just got the better offer and a tight finish. But again, she didn't want her wrist when she was favorite at Warwick for that mayor's contest. The Warwick mayor's hurdle. I thought she looked a little bit reluctant to exhaust herself for all that it turned out to be good for him because the marriage would do whatever he wanted. And you can kind of look through that again all that's better for him than it looks at the time. But I don't think so she put up not much of a fight there and of course we don't know what she would have done in the marital itself because it was just beginning to take shape when she found heavy fall at the top of the hill. So she's been a real fan of a real fun one. It's been a real overhead over the years. It'll be the final point. Every morning. That's what I first. I've been a fan of hers, but I'm just I'm a little concerned about a couple of things I've seen this season since she won on a return and I'm against her for that. I've been, I've been vaguely promising to be able to look at the start of this season, but he hasn't had his conditions and 90 doors under the faster. The front of the ground, the better for him. He needs to be giving width lesser horses rather than running against grade one horses over hurdles. He gets that set up here, and I think you should win. Okay. Should win, love that. So our final race is the four 40. It's the Josh Gifford novices handicapped chase present in counting for Brian Hughes and Donald McCain, Harry skelton and Dan skeleton. We've got beach town, a flick of oil, for Paul Nichols and Harry cobden and Jack Maher for the back Milton Harris after a tremendous season as well in Fargo Bryan had a great season to brief ambition done again. We'll look back in the season with great fondness imagine and can he go out with a winner or is there something else in here that you're looking at a 153 winners is we're currently recording for Donald McCain. This present and counting going to add to that or is there something else here that takes a 153 winners and only one of them in a grid event? Bonkers isn't it? Yeah bonkers. They won the old car and I was a chess. I'd hate up in February and was a pretty moderate contest. That was with Manila. Vanilla times. Hello. Vanilla drama. Spend all the time. Because I would have both thought about that, but maybe not. Maybe not another times this season. Vanilla drama wanted, yes. President Klein is an interesting one here. Again, the faster the grind, the better for him. DOM came a song about him being potentially his only runner at the chart on the vessel, but he didn't go in the end. And it was the grime of soft enough for him when he fell in the race one by big time they are the last time. He's two points lower, which is an interesting..

"Grade one novice harder than reentry last year. Behind Belfast banter. That's right. Yeah, you know, it wouldn't be beyond if he rocked up an entry. It wouldn't be a big surprise to me. Be cheeky. But hey, there is a trainer's title to be won. That's the thing at the end of the day. There is indeed Jeff. They're all coming for it. At Dan skeleton, speaking of trainers titled, must have been saying to himself, here's 34 K in this actual oops as Ana brewing comes through for John McConnell. Delighted for ja McConnell. He just seems to be a really an incredibly talented trainer, but a very easygoing real gentleman, perfect guy to talk to about racing and Sean bong gave and a terrific ride in that. He never let her give up. You know, she was being pushed along and just when it looked as though it was cork's race to win somehow Sean Bond manages to get up. Yeah, letting it again came down to west and obviously being trained entirely for the race. John McCann loves civic home after the sky champion hard last year. With Anna Buena and set out about common back this year to win the race. And that is a sign of a very, very good trainer. And back in here with a beautiful wave. Was given an excellent ride by Sean Bourne avatar. And when I hit the front last year and just pulled up on the run in and got caught and they're all, they learned their lessons accordingly and Sean Bourne deliver with a devastating punch down the outside to just get up and call her west car and one more for the road. It was called probably if you hadn't run a shelter, would have worn this hands down. He traveled to the race very well. And I could just see that even though he stayed cold well at the end there is you could see that the element taken it's toll on him. He just got tired in the last hundred yards. You know, he just got like, you could see that he was just a small bit of the territory. And you know, he's obviously an exciting prospect as well. And one more after all, another nice another nice run from him, Neil king is a nice horse in his hands, but terrific training performance by John McConnell. He also won the last lap restaurant on the day as well. Yeah. He's great for him. He's having winners, seems to have a lot of winners and no ones need to talk much about him, actually. And but at all, I thought Sean Bourne could walk away from the two days today or this year with his head with his head held high. I thought he wrote some very, very, very good races, he wrote a very good winter on a Cornelius platinum carrot on the Friday. And I reckon he gave this a superb right a future which had been kind of right. Very good neat and tidy, very good, very strongly finished. And tactically cute enough to make sure that he didn't get there too soon. Atlanta Buena and timed his run very neatly down the outside and I thought it was a top class ride now to be honest. I know that jockeys have retainers and there's relationships. But he only it was amazing to me that he only had three rides. But he proved everybody wrong because two of them won. And he did his best on the bolt Nicholas, but was just wasn't good enough on the day. And as for I think a lot of that image is the way a race has gone nowadays, you know? If you go back ten, 15 years ago, you had a lot of very, very good jockeys. And then, you know, there was at least 5 absolutely outstanding jockeys riding at the time. And then he would have some very, very good jockeys coming true. And they would be trying to ride to the level of the top 5 jockeys. And that level was extremely high. And if one made the breakthrough, you know, then he got, he got a lot of chances from a lot of different trainers. You'd often see it in a clamor. You'd see a lot of strange jockey bookings, but did win trainers use the claim or whatnot. But now it seems to be a case of, you know, maybe it's true to staffing crisis, whatever it in board Irish and English. You see a lot of jockeys riding out for different yards. And they were right for them. And they won't have any other rights. And whereas in the past, you would, if you were a top jockey, a good jockey, matching it with the big boys, you know, you would pick up two or three more outside good rides. You would be joking off other people, but it all came down to write an ability. Best jockey available on my hearth and so on. So now it's just a case of a lot of transfers using the job is that right out in the yards. And there is no scope. There is no opportunity for jockeys, say, for example, I'd like to Sean Bond. There's very little opportunity for John Bond. All he can do is turn up every time he gets an opportunity and takes it with bought hands. For me, they like to be right in a lot of particles. All sorts because I think he's a top top writer. And there's no doubt about it. He can match it, pound a pound for pound, with only Joffrey writing in the UK at present. I couldn't agree with you more. And particularly when jockeys are restricted to one meeting. It's a no brainer really. They should be used in a more regular basis. Winner for the podcast, do your job. Bigger one was to come. But the Jordan electrics limited future champions, novices, chase grade two, goes to do your job. Do your job. Bill.

"Glory to Scotland and all that. But there are defending their honor. They take this very, very seriously. They want to win as much as they possibly can. And all these southern trainers coming up here taking our prize money is like, no. And also there's been a massive revival of northern trainers in recent times as well. There's a very good quality force within the Russell obviously has been doing exceptionally well, but that's just the name one. So the likes of Dan skeleton, mug in for a bit of a surprise here this week. Yeah, this is going to be very competitive. Through the two days, this meeting at our there will be plenty of challengers from the southern yards from Somerset and from lambourne, and you'll also have golden Elliott sending a few across as well. So it's going to be pretty tough. It's been hard for a northern trainer for a while, but it's good to see both in Scotland. This into Russell having one of our strongest ever teams. And Donald McKeon, talking about northern trainers doing so well this season in terms of race as one McDonald's is kicking ass this season, but he's doing it generally at the northern tracks. So it tends not to be getting the attention that it does when Paul Nichols and Nicki Henderson are getting winners, but Donald McCain is having numerically probably his best season. Having had his yard torn apart, essentially 5 or 6 years ago. So he's rebuild himself tremendously well. Brian Hughes obviously kind of stopped writing winners. And, you know, there was a lot of doom Clement by northern racing. We had the go north series finals last week, which is an opportunity for the smaller ERs to shine as well. And there were some promising results from that race is really well supported. So hopefully the glory days are too far away for the north again. And if you haven't listened to our interview with Donald McCain, when we went over to banker stable, I strongly recommend you do. It's there on Spotify, Apple podcasts, wherever it is you like to listen to the final for long. He speaks very plainly. Very frankly, he's got some strong views on the grand national and I did ask him about his stable as Rory put it being ripped apart and he said, look, I'm not going to, I'm not going to talk about that. It hurts, but I'm not going to start throwing stones because it's not, I want to be better than that. And I really admired him for how he handled it. He also said he'll never speak to the racing post again. Ever. So if a quote from Donald McCain appears in the racing post, it's not from Donald McCain. Right, who's going to win the one 15? Rory, let's start with you. Yes. Dennis was talking about how air tends to suit frontrunners. It puts more emphasis on jumping than it does on stamina and if you go back to course specialists and days of your lot of forces who were effective at two three miles here at air, are liking for the track is more important than whether you've got an abundance of stamina or not. And there aren't an awful lot of forward goers in this race. And that might be, that might be the key. The right side are there across will go forward and he's in good form, but he steps up markedly in class here. He was winning off a mark of 92 on heavy grinding here in January. He will effectively racing off a 119 here because he's a student in 5 out of the way. And that puts his chance in perspective. He'd normally make the run over whether he's got the tool to get to the front here in a classier race. I don't know. And that suggests that ballistic might get the runner things from the front. The other one who Islam was looking forward is called des bois. And that pair, because most of these are sort of hold up horses, including sebastopol, who's been pretty frustrating. He doesn't appeal enormously as favorite. I thought he had plenty to be a very captain last time. I put him up as a bet there. Before that he had a real habit of finishing second, often unreasonably good races. And he would have won a kempton in November, but for falling late on. That track seems to suit him. You could say air is a little bit like Kent and the other way rhymes in that speed and jumping ability kind of for plenty. But I thought he was short enough in the betting. And I'm excited to take a chance on realistic prices here in the betting. And ballistic with kaluki as we speak has been just cut to 5s. I had nothing to do with that. It's a horse did well over fences as a novice last season and he was second in the grid to novice at this meeting last year. He's only raced once since he made his reappearance in the mansion ice chest. The version bet handicap was won by band over two miles of doncaster in early March and he was going along quite happily when he unseated his rider with about four or 5 to jump. It looked like he would have figured in the finish that day, but he would have won, I don't know. He might have just needed to run after a break. But he did essentially get a run on that will have brought him on. And that was four weeks ago. I think Peter never will have him where he wants him. The booking of Brian Hughes, again, looks significant brands be known for the horses two wins and win fences last season. And again, when he was when he was second will mankind, I'm here last year. That form has worked out well even though he was beaten quite a lot, but in 19 lengths I think by all mankind that day, but he beat some decent swords behind him. That was in good grind. I don't think we're expecting an awful lot of rear there. So it's going to be sort of good, good to soft. A mixture of that. So the grind should be absolutely fine for ballistic. He doesn't need to lead, but I think he probably will go up there. And then it's just a case of what the corner of fire wants to go that little bit faster and we'll take. But I think Brian Hughes will slot ballistic in towards the head of affairs. If there isn't any person he will go on, if there is a bit of pierce then he doesn't he may well sit in second. But he won't be far off the pierce. Who hasn't had an awful lot of racing should be absolutely cherry ripe for this. And I think he's probably overpriced. It sort of tells its own story that he hasn't run since this meeting last year. And his best form does come when he either presses or leads. And as you said, Brian Hughes has a fantastic relationship with him. So Dennis, what's your thoughts on the race? I think Rory is on that of absolutely superb to be honest. I see Dubai days, I fancy him. If he wasn't the whole past, but he appears to be his peers to be all of our with the lightweight I feel are now going to make use of that. It's very important when you're getting away from horses that you're in front of the hearts that you're getting the way from there's no point in getting wet and giving them ground as well. You've.

"Well, I think she seems the most likely winner that I wouldn't be rushing to advise people to back him up four to 7 at this time. At the margin say, if Nikki's fold those continue out of this and that likes a constitutional and John Bond done. On the opening day, he's going to address the alarm only as the other day. So that's just all hypothetical at this stage, isn't it? So we'll come on to the right and actually shortly of the three odds on shots we will talk about. I think our hose got leased to be some would be the most would be the best bet for anyone willing to take short price in my opinion. So whilst the things shishkin's the most likely winner would be. Russians to tell people to back him up for 7. Come work out of themselves. You know what? If anyone's looking for a best elsewhere, no reason to say I just think the race will be wrong to really do no ground. I'll see my NP quite well enough to win it. I think you'll run through beaten or sunny will they prefer him. I also wonder what the field says. So this is going to end up being, but even if it is of the current 18. Bear in mind it's a max field of 20, but there's only 18 injured. If it cuts up. An origami is just too good not to be in the first three in my view. So he's kind of the scumbag each one. Really? Is this going back each way play? And I'm more than happy to do this. In the race, if you're putting them in a multiple of some kind at looking 15, lucky 63, each way double. So that's probably how I'm going to look at it. You alluded to allaho being the most likely winner or the best of the odds on favorites. That's certainly what came out there was this late surge of support for honeysuckle as we said in the poll that we did, but yeah, 50% of funnel from podcast listeners from 4000. 506 votes with 8 hours left on it going for alejo. And he is currently a best price. 6 to four on with kaluki is the best you can get. An argument on a runner you would think. It would seem counterintuitive to run here. A number of horses who were interested in this race, I'm using alts checker. No. I can first of all, no. So you're looking then at Shan blue. 8 conflated 9s, Janet L tens, tornado Florida, goes with the gold cup. If I could do three, how does he turn the form around? He's tens. And melon, good old, reliable melon who always runs his race when it comes to cheltenham. It was back in the winters and closure. Last time out is around about an 11 to one, 12 tons. Isn't that right? I think you can get 14s, possibly. If you ask nicely with kluki. So there's a lot of forces entered here who are not going to turn up. Full stop. Favored isn't running here, Shaq and persuasion not going here. Conflated, there's still a bit of a debate going on between as far as I understand it between Gordon and the O'Leary's, but which race you should go for, the alias wanted to go for the Ryanair, Gordon very much wants him to go for the gold cup. Not your tell its own story. What's your take, my man? A la hole just a case of how far for me. Yeah, I think so, I think he's the best collaboration in the near last year. Obviously won the John dick and this season as opposed to the last season. A bit more convincing again and Ken lock gray last time I thought that he was last year. His records since he's gone back to the Cincinnati chip is really good indeed. Obviously they shot them a couple of times. I would offer the hope and that he would develop into a world called pause but I think he's found his niche now. And this really is a strict last year's performance was the performance of the festival and probably one of the best performances we've seen in recent years at the meeting and as I said, just being comparison to the other champions with and on the ground as well, but certainly in comparison to the champion cheesy faces a lot. Less of a challenge, I think, as you already alluded to, and there means second favorite Apple talk there, favor those books, check them both for conflated is that about next in the market which can be a good chance to deal to end up in the golf course. You have a chance of running there obviously an improvement for me in terms of winning the race. I think it's all about solar hole and I think you'll be mighty odd speed. Are we both an agreement that of the favorites? He's the banker. Maybe we're on the first preview. I'd done last week for other beats. I wasn't willing to put nods on the shuttle for as new bank a couple G man, then I'd know hesitations, but I was there. So of course you didn't. That's the way, Jane. That's the way. If I had been asked, again, if the question would have been which of the show price ones? Do you think is most solid? I certainly would have said I hope. Yeah. I think I just think I just think you'll be ready really difficult to be. He's, he has to go in, you're lucky 63. You're double your travel, whatever it is you're doing. He's just going to let us. It's as simple as that. And. The way you're looking at the market, they would say, obviously, some people don't want to backwards on, which is completely understandable. With the children festival, or any Sean blue 8 O one, surely he's going to go upset and favors, especially if conflated doesn't want to see anyone go off and lead to one. So if you are interested in Parkinson's instead or in still only raising a 148, they've been looking at the gas piercing, but I can see I can completely understand why Dan skeleton is going to run in here because if you look at the top of the market, that's the other side. Don't be scared of one horse or if something goes wrong with a lot of them. He's needed a favor to win the next you know? So I can completely understand them going down issues, having worn, are they still looking at whether the M1, what were they probably gone up ten, 12 pounds or one 60? So if you want to be near me. Next best. I think arriving fresh is a positive in his regard that he had other difficulties by the time he goes fairly long campaign by the time he got to tell them an ancient last year. I think written with a more restraint, obviously be quite positively written with a shape, more restraint. I do like in general. We don't like the horses. Not being on show throughout the season. As much as they were, several years with Dan skeleton, I do like his when he keeps forces on the right to almost have a good record of course when the fresh both are chilled no matter. So I could see him run another race, don't think he's got enough to beat out the valve runs his race but he's probably next best, so say eggs couldn't eat so on the margin he probably got off for 5 seconds. Yeah. If you're interested in trading out, then that could be the way of playing it. You could also back conflated non runner no bet and then trade out because he could easily be second favorite if that's the way this race is going to develop if they if the allergies get their way in. And he runs here, but if your trainer is telling you, I want to run the gold cup. There's a reason for that. And maybe you should listen. He was right about the Irish coach. Maybe he's going to be right about this as well. There's a reason he wants to go. That brings us to the boodles cheltenham gold cup. I'm not interested in the big price source for the runner. I just think it's a case of as long as poll gets around. He goes and wins. So a plutarch for Henry du bromhead and Rachel blackmore is your favorite for the gold cup. Runner up last year, click here going threes and galvin. Who Katie young who works for Gordon Elliot was on the.

"Spirit hurdle was the big risk the day on front wheels, big day of the year. And when you're looking for the picture to become clearer for the leading UK hurdlers, you're not really expecting a reasonable jobs task. Wins. But it was a great result for the more fun. I think they had a four timer on the day. George Moore, who took a very bad fourth in Botox and Australian season. And needed that spinal surgery, which he had a weird for as well. It was great to see him and that horse get the big win the big race the season that their local track as well. Tremendous ride, tremendous avatar from the winner as well, headed, looked beaten. On the run in, but fought back to win by head. And it's worth pointing out I thought George gibbons tremendous writing movies written them in behind and he's come to sort of swept past them to get to the lead. In the street with a move that looks briefly loop decides to then brew up the storm, got himself back in front and both of Sansa Saturn really battled against the far real there. Which isn't always the ideal place to be. And has won it by a head with Gardner dreams, a decent third, but the form makes a lot of sense. Can't your dreams supposed to be running in all the great two hurdles this season since the asker heard will really onwards won the international and he was back to form here after being a little bit disappointed over two miles of sand down behind goshen, but really disappointing runs from mon miran than mommy. I'll travel best of all. I think each tree must have traded also on on the wrist as well. Travel very well find absolutely zip off the bridle. Dara Starr came over for captain criminal. The government was another yard whose horses are not running as well as you would expect. Would suggest either he sent a couple over. The one on the opening range run well enough. Railway hurricane finished second. So the diarrhea was off the bag of a long way. He's just a hard horse to handle on these days and he falls between two stools, both in terms of trip and in terms of plants as well. And all mankind who was making a slightly surprising reappearance overheard was given what his spring tires would be. I thought he would run well, but he was bitterly disappointing he has been miles from home and pulled up on the end. So that's a big concern for the downscaled and yarn. All mankind is a deliberately kept fresh for re injury, looking to miss out Sheldon, but you'd like to think when you bring somebody for a risk like this, that he would at least show panty aspire. But that was bitterly disappointing, disappointed from all mankind. And you'd be a little concerned to say the brain is. Yeah, a 100%. We're in a storm has run a very, very game race has just held brilliant for Josh Moore. Join tubi and celebrating black history month with the largest free collection of black cinema streaming every day of the year, including exclusive to the originals Howard high and past the mic. Tubi, watch free. It was seriously a risk that man might never walk again. He did an interview with Lee McKenzie on talks for two, which we played at a couple of weeks ago. And it was a brutal fault. So to be back on him and to give him such a confident ride, it's terrific for the more family. And well done to all of them. But again, the Paul Nichols stable not exactly advertising the reform. There, yes, I know the headwind is that's brutally disappointing. Dan skeleton, not exactly advertising the form. And Gavin Cromwell is a really interesting one to highlight it as well. And I'm glad that you did, because Gavin's going to have horses that you would be interested in for cheltenham, particularly the likes of vanilla. Who are massive fan of for the national launch chase. We're supposed to call it now. But they're not just getting beaten. They're getting sums. Darva star gave brewing up a storm at race. Last time out. Here you just drops away. And you got a list of his runners. Hurricane has run a fine race in a 4Runner race to finish second, beaten two and a quarter lengths, but of course the horse behind him at Paul Nichols is so yeah. How much do you read into that? And the fourth was a million to one shot. Yeah, which is a very good point because then how disappointing are the nickel sources running and how this is winding or these chromo horses running. But they're not just getting beaten. They're getting beaten 48 legs, 46 lengths, 52 lengths, 22. It's not good. And Sheldon is coming. It's just around the corner. So you want your trainers to be particularly if you're supporting big name trainers or you've got a target in mind. You want the horses to be running well. And these trainers, you have to have a red flag beside their name right now. I'll say what I'm doing. I'm looking at Gavin Cromwell's record last season because it seems to me that Gavin turned up a chart on them. With his horses struggling perform as well, I can tell you that since Christmas last year as a year before last season, he had 61 runners in Ireland in January and February 2021 and two winners. And then he went on to grab a couple of winners at the Charleston festival. There is hope. It might have been more. There is hope. So maybe the time you want to start looking at stable form is the first purchase I can make in March. Rather than rather than January and February. Similar thing, I don't think. I don't think go ahead and do bromhead was firing into minimum interest until he got the chance neither. And then he ends up shattering all records, but march is literally choosing. Yes. There is that, but that's the thing. Look at these yards who appear to be able to form and the key there. I mean, I had pushed him coming into the weekend with a couple of horses who haven't shown enough a lot. Suddenly improving during the week in a couple of winners on the board and he's saying, oh, hold on a second. This show is just beginning to fire again. And sometimes it just takes. It's hard to put your finger on what it is that's wrong, but it's remarkably easy to fix. And it's rarely that the horses are desperately sick. It's just you speak demonstrate where we're going through power and punches and they'll say, you know, I can't put my finger on it. They seem really healthy. I wouldn't be sending them out to run unless I thought they were well. They looked terrific. They're just not winning races. And then they'll do something slightly different and suddenly, but can't stop the winners. No, that's a very good point. And we need to bear that in mind as we build to the Shelton festival. That being out.

"Winning off one 17 last time. That is not, you know, I mean, he wasn't running in a particularly high quality risk. He won that one easily, but he ends up being quite highly racist here. I don't really like backing horses from handicaps into integrated races, especially when they're winning off that kind of Mark. All right, he looked different class to his rivals last time, right? He's just to get a little bit of time to get his act together. He was pleased in a listed bumper. So he's always had plenty of ability. That handicap was remarkably lenient. One behind time for a fortune. Yeah, yeah. So yeah, it's unusual to get into handicaps off to run, but he won the second started bumped and he was he was handicapped on that and even on that bear form. He was well treated. So he's done a demolition job on them last time, but this is going to be a different kind of fish. We haven't touched on fair time. Yes. I think it's probably behind open risk of what I've seen. But you can be positive about a few of these and there's enough niggling worries about others. Just not be getting too heavily involved. So does this mean that we just automatically by default, come down to shell, we have one more. It makes it difficult for me to point at these sort of prices. My gut feeling is that shall we have one more is sitting on a much bigger effort. But when the market manages your gut feeling, then you're not getting an awful lot of value for us. You kind of have to walk away. Maybe he will drift. On Saturday morning, maybe it'll be simple. 72 on that was turned over to do it. That never happens. Yeah, it's a case of the fancy stables might come in for support like Dan skeleton, Paul Nichols. They can understand. But we've warned you about their form. So I quite like, shall we have one more, but I'm completely in agreement with you. The 9 to four, 15 to 8, 13 days. Even, that was appealing, evens. "I'm hi everyone, the activity back. Great to have you back. Particularly given the fact that you have written out for Richard Faye, one of the best trainers in the UK and Ireland, also the fact that you are retraining a racehorse so that will all come into play a little bit later on with a certain topic, but we'll begin with goshen. The enigma that is goshen, but is worried that argue said on the show on Thursday, but he's not on anything we go in right handed. Jamie Moore said to said on racing TV that he turned to Tom scooter more two out, which proves jockeys do talk to each other during races. You've got me. And yet Gaussian managed to rally and get the job done. What did you make of his performance overall? And for that matter, of adagio. Yeah, well, first of all, goshen was superb again, wasn't he. He's come out and one again. And he's come out and want to get encrypted session because it wasn't that long ago that he won at sand down and got back on the store sheet. So delighted for the Moors and delighted for everybody involved this horse because I think whilst they're winning, they can hopefully carry on and I think that's the momentum that he's got now goes in. I mean, he won this race and he last year by 22 lengths obviously a bit of a shorter margin. This time around, but I mean, he dictated, didn't he and he jumped, he jumped pretty well on the whole and he was just able to make all the running and yeah, never seen another rival, although the horse back in second, as you mentioned there, Tom skewed them all. Pretty confident. And he wasn't beating that far. David pike talks and I think all roads now lead to cheltenham for that horse and they seem pretty confident about his chances. So that's quite an interesting sort of thing to take from the race I thought, but yeah, I got him back on someone once again and it was great to see. Yeah. I mean, we have to put into context adagio is coming into this on the back of a 97 day break where he finished second under a welterweight in the great wood. And I believe that the stables Lake horses out for races all the time. But it was a brilliant training performance from Dan skeleton to win that race. And it had been the plan. They were working west cork to that race for quite some time. So we know what adagio is. I don't think there's any issue with what he's done. The intriguing thing about all of this is that he was 7 to one without. For the champion hurdle. He closed to 5 to one, after we talked about him on the final furlong. And Rory said, the best thing to do really is it look ocean is going to win this. So when adagio gets beaten, they'll drift them, then back. He closed the force. It's further proof. We know you're the colloquy team always listen, but we know you're listening on its compilers. And do you think that his champion hurdle claims were enhanced on the back of this virtue? Well, yeah, I mean, well, I'll say yes, because bearing in mind, I think he's pretty short price and enough as it isn't he for the champion hurdle. So he certainly sorted in price so people would think that it has enhanced his credentials and what you'd have to think of is how confident the team have come on the back of his second place behind goshen here. I mean, David parks come out, hasn't he and spoken about how all these children, they're very, very positive. I mean, all being well, he's also got to get there in one piece. And I think the fact that he has had that injury or something that held him up in the past, they are obviously mindful of how, well, he's going to go into chat and obviously monitor his training up until then. But yeah, I think for me, I get the impression that the team are very, very confident and perhaps people have taken that on board as well because his price is short enough, I'd have thought in the champion hurdle market. Yeah, best price you can get now is 16. He was 33 is not that long ago. And I've said it all along all this season that I think he's the each way back in the race. And I'm very intrigued by goshen is what goshen is. Steve pakman said that the gelding could go up in distance again next time. And possibly be switched to fences next season? Sure, Jamie Moore can't waste. Obviously he's going to be keeping to write on the tracks. And it's nice that the ability is there that the ability remains intact because sometimes you'll know this very well when horses go through phases of being hammered, you're being beaten. They'll start to down tools, or they'll start to get a little bit depressed at the fact that that's what's going on. Like you were conquering all. And now you're not. But now we know that this is always who just does not want to go left handed. It's as simple as that. He doesn't want to do that. So as you said, he beats on for someone 22 lengths in this race last year. After that they went to cheltenham, you'll remember he took the white course. It was like watching Jack recoup corn park. But the wrong rail that came over to punch us down, that didn't work. Which should have. He was tried up and trip. They've dropped him in trip and he ended up getting beaten both times at ascot 11 lengths in 18 links, respectively. He was beaten in a three runner race, but it was a lot more like it behind Bruno for storm. And then he bowls up in the stupid contenders hurdle. But this is much more like it, I think. This is a stronger race, a more solid race. And I'm delighted for them. It's great for them that he's back in the winters enclosure, but intriguing that there are two graduates of the triumph fertile goshen won't go for the champion adagio will, and I think him coming in fresh, this was his second run after a wind off. I think he's a player. I think he's a big player. And clearly, Gordon Elliott feels the same thing about Tia poo. Now we have to get his pronunciation. Somewhat right, because it varies from country to country. But I believe it's tipu. So we'll go with that. He ends up winning the red mills trial by 11 lengths. Real talk disappointed appreciated didn't line up here? I thought that he might and considering that appreciated it is the four to one second favorite for the champion hurdle. And Willie Mullins has come out and said, well, we're just going to get them ready at home. Willy's a genius. He trained penhill to win the stairs hurdle first time out. He tried Cova to win 5 mayors hurdles first time out. The first one she won had she had a prep. So 6 in total but 5 first time out. No horses ever won the champion hurdle on their season of appearance. And he was meant to go and that was chasing and that had to be aborted. So I don't like his prep and I don't like his prize. I like the horse. But in this instance, don't like his prep, don't like the way things are. Tipu was the one who got the plot. It's the best price you can get about him. Is tens. It would very few. It's there, but it's with very few. He's generally 8s. How impressed were you with tipu? And bear in mind, this is a race where hardy eustace finished second beaten ash the shortest of short heads,.

"Then when you get plenty of re in there, a lot of people are the same bolt on as those horses are fit in the first place. So the question about the traffic profiles, whether he is a 100% for this return, whereas it comes at a time when Willie is pretty much committed to running him. But I would be surprised if he's a 100% mind wind up. The best of his one wins this race anyway. He's putting new biennial grown as players at a punches time. He wasn't as I'm sure I mentioned this on the ten to follow preview of people said he had no excuses at cheltenham, but in the blending, obviously it's just a chance that they just have used them enough. It's best for them. In Ireland has been forcing the past when getting off those when using his jumping, which is very good. I'm putting others on the back foot and just going faster than they can gallop. And that's what they should have done at Charlotte and didn't. And Willie held the signs up afterwards and pajamas had the same thing. We got this. We got that wrong tactically. We sat just off the pierce of a very modest piece. And I thought it looks like he was going to win easily jump in the last I wouldn't say he didn't come up the hill. I mean, the fight that they were all sprinting at the end of it, he just isn't the type to sprint away at the end of a slowly run race. They wrote him wrong and others. Yeah, they ruled him wrong. And essentially, they got a right amount of attacking style. The site worrying was on, again, if you've got a background short order, you know, if they think he's not quite fit, then you're then caught between two stills. You don't want to be going eyeballs out in front with him. And riding them as if he's a 110% fit and explores in the others, you're thinking I need to hold on to something here. So it's difficult right for Patrick. He knows the account afford to get caught in a tactical race, but he also probably knows that the horse will be fitter next time out. And he doesn't want to be asking too many questions. So that's quite a quite a hard tactical ride for me. Or maybe just say, you know, you got on from the front and if he gets really tired later on, you just use him off. But I think that's not easy. I mean, I think shopping poison is still the best humanity yesterday on these islands. That's what timeform think is what the British handicapper thinks of the Irish handicap of things. He's a little bit older now than maybe one or two coming through to challenge this season. But the balance of his form, he's very much the one to beat. It might be though that I'd probably want bigger bigger answer to back him here. And it might be new to the Negro's chance to get one over on him. Given that he's proven fitness, his jumping is very, very good, very neat. He was very good in the desert Orchard last year in Nubia. I didn't think chatman would sit on my daily, but he's run two cracking races at cheltenham as well. So the questions I had against me being there are kind of being answered. He doesn't want one particularly deep grind either. He's not going to get at the grounds good at stand down at the moment. Yeah. You know, even been thrown a bit of water at it. So there's a little bit of random forecast for tomorrow and a little bit on Saturday. But it seems to be no more than three mils either day. So I don't think the crime is going to get worse than good to soft. Probably sitting in a better than shotgun. So while I would say it according to me for a second, for example, to put a new Niagara in the ten to follow. And this is a bonus race as well. And I put shock and Bruce wine. Never occurred to me. Never caught me for a second that if they met on this race that nobody might win. But now they come to it. You might just have a little bit of an advantage both tactically and fitness wise. So this could be his one chance this season to be shotgun Poisson. I think Dan's got a little bit about the thing he's got more than one chance of being shotgun for as well, but this looks his best one. And I have a niggling feeling that he might be the one to be with here. We should surprises me. That intrigues me. I didn't think I didn't think I would think I didn't expect you to say that. Yeah, I'm not sure I'm not sure I'm going to back him to do it, but I'm pretty certain I'm not going to buy Shaq and bourgeois short odds. I've got a bit of skin in the game pretending that I've got half a chance as well in the skip 6 and that's good things. They tend to fall. But in reality, that's probably dead already. So yeah, if I had to bet on the race, I think I'd probably go newborn at the prices, especially if you're getting fired too. I think you struggle to get factor too. I think 94 is probably going to be the general price. Shock and I don't see him getting any shorter than sort of 11 to ten. And I can see him on the drift. I can see him hitting 6 to four. And he turns up on the pad looking big and potentially needed a little bit of good drift more. And I have seen Willie I've seen far internally at that ask looking at him out of a field. Looking absolutely huge and win the ask it hurdle. So Willie has turned out before we talked last quarter. Clearly not clearly in need of a little bit more conditioning, but they can still win the race as they've got their classes as bohemian showed and as full ones. And Shaka and bourgeois has all the class to do that as well. But I can see him drifting if his paddock condition doesn't impress everyone which is a fair chance that will happen because really doesn't. He doesn't do either his way to win best under prices or make them look like they're in a peak of physio condition. He just, you know, he just trains good horses and rocks up to the races with them. And if they look well, that's grand. And if people don't particularly like how they look last round as well, look at hurricane fly. Never never took the eye before in the image races really in terms of panic appearance. But it didn't stop on winning those races. So I could see, as I said, Jack and Porto are turning up and people are going, oh, he doesn't look great as compared to when I saw him at cheltenham last year when he could beat. And therefore the beam alien movement. We also asked it wouldn't be my biggest betting rest of the weekend in that I probably don't have a bet on it. But I'm coming around to the idea that maybe this is Dan skeleton's chance to get a little bit of something to cruel bite over with. I got you with the gotcha. You know, that's fascinating. Nothing you know, a little bit of crawling. As long as you don't mind, you know? Digging up. Didn't I open this show with saying thank you very much for making this one forum podcast. "We couldn't have timed this better. All these horses that are coming out. I know you timed it perfectly. It's almost like I looked at the program and saw, hey, David's got a lot of runners this weekend. Let's get him on the show on Wednesday. I'd love to say, by the way, for the last month. The poor team upon that was like, where's where's this interview? Where's Kennedy? So thank you again for the kind words at the start of the show. There's very, very nice of you. It wasn't recording. So there's no record of it, but again, appreciate it. New age dawning has got form with kaluki who again run at the weekend and if you'd want clicky would have given free bets out. So fair play. But his form reads quite well too. He's second that link field. I know he was beaten 5 links, but then he's bounced back with a win at chepstow. That was though in 2019. So how has he been coming along and what is the hold up been? Yeah, we pick up picked up the tendon injury and then last year he picked up another injury when very near a run. He's back in good form. If he stays in one piece, I think you'll develop into a lovely three mile chaser. Like soft ground, it's by stellar a great sire. So I'm just hoping he stays in one piece, but he's getting nearer and which is great. Looks a $1 million, so he could be a nice one of offenses this season. He has the making of a really nice staying chaser as well if he can be kept together. So yeah, some of these Midlands nationals, things like that. I could see that name right. With that into the tracker, put that into the racing TV tracker, Midlands national because we know you have a good record on that. So that can be the bounce back. Hopefully we'll have a great shelter. And then we can have an even better Saturday celebration. Panic attack. I interviewed Richard Johnson have his Richard brand ambassador for to be very kindly came on after he retired and he said that it got so bad at cheltenham that by the Thursday, whenever a British horse was just hitting the frame for prize money as in, like, finishing third or fourth. The British jockeys were like, yeah. We should not miss just brilliant. And there's a man who will be missed what a great character. Yeah. Brilliant. Panic attack. X Irish, how has she been doing for you this season? We've seen her once at cheltenham showing a massive race behind Kansas City chief. What kind of plans do you have in mind for? Yes, let's try it three mile. And yes, she got the trip. Well, unfortunately she's a really nasty cut and she's just going back on the horse walker since then. It's healing up nicely now, but it's just taken a long time. So she'll probably stick to hurdles two and a half to three miles. She's always seemed as if she's wanted a bit of a trip. So yeah, we'll get her back on track and hopefully she'll be willing some races for us. Later on in the season. And she's still young. She's still only 5. So there's, yeah, that's right. It should be a nice chaser as well. She jumps very well. She'll be okay over fences. Okay. Speaking of being good of offenses, red line lad, I would imagine will be a horse that is another of these potentially nice staying chasers for you. The question is, how has he come out of his window? Yes. No, he's all good. What another one has been waiting to run for a while, just entered in for detox for next week, actually. Yeah. Related to mastermind and that one is Irish point to point over hurdles. I think the wind up will have helped him during the summer. He's a big horse, not the most athletic. So hurdles, God in his way a bit. He's been jumping better over offenses. And yeah, another one that will, yeah, I would imagine, will develop into a nice strange chaser. Romain, the Ming. So you picked him up for 45 K, which sounds like a lot of money, but in racing isn't from Dan skeleton's yard back in May. And you're still waiting for the right opportunity for the horse to run. I suppose, given his age, we know what he's capable of, but we also know he's a money spider. Yeah. Yeah, he is, when he comes down to the right market, he wins, again, doesn't he? Unfortunately, he picked up an injury recently, and so hopefully we'll get him back for the back end of the season, but prior to that, he'd been going nicely and moving we were placed with what he was showing us. Commentators nightmare, sexy lot. Yeah, sexy not probably will miss the season, unfortunately. She picked up an injury and she had a tremendous year last year. Time off when do any harm and hopefully there's still lots more to come from. By Camelot, good so yeah, you know. We'll look after and look forward to next season. Sir delac only the two runs for you came from Nick Williams was unseated on first start and then did get around the open meeting not the opportunity the October meeting. What's the current thinking with him? Yeah. He is in a very good horse, isn't he? And we ran him over hurdles in October, cheltenham, just as a prep before the party power, unfortunately picked up a slight injury which meant he missed the party pub, but hopefully he goes to the Castro and Caviar. A week Saturday. Be the right distance or at the right race for him. He's back in good form and we hope he can he's dropped. Talked a few pounds in the handicap and we hope he can take advantage of that. And the lovable warthog who, unfortunately, you lost one that race fee in 2019 as a race that you've had a great record in as well. So it seems like the idea is from he's a lot of back class. I know that you still have mentioned for the king George as well. And he wouldn't be yeah, look. Look, he's a very good horse. Unfortunately he's in a very good horse for Nick Williams and I haven't done quite so well with him. So we're hoping to put that right. He got unseated last season in the paddy power picked up stupid injury, but a serious injury behind which kept him off the rest of the season and touched with that's been fine since, but he's yeah he's a little bit fragile man he's got a bit older. You are being very, very hard on yourself there. He's only run twice for you. And he did pick up an injury. So you can give yourself a pretty decent excuse, I think, but the fact that he's still engaged in the petty power I think in the king George tells an awful lot, but the fact that he's going to be gone for the Caspian Caviar is something that we should be keeping a very, very close eye on. And he's going to be of great interest. Thanks for the help. Owned by JP, only four. So this is what you run very well in a hot bumper for the time of year. And he's the kind of horse who looks as though you'd be hoping he'll develop into a nice harder. Yeah, I think he will. Brad, he's a lot stronger this year. He's been even better again. Next year. It was a good bumper that Iran in forums working out nicely. And you can obviously in good size, so hopefully he'll still take a bit of the time. He's a big role quite long. This is still needs to strengthen up, but decent work also at home. So hopefully he can go on and win some other source. And what does it mean having JP become more involved in the art? Well, it's brilliant..
