UConn routs Gonzaga 82-54 for first Final Four in 9 years
"The Connecticut huskies are headed to the final four for the first time since 2014 after an 82 54 west regional final win over Gonzaga. Yukon scored the final three points of the first half and then started the second half on a 21 to 5 run. Huskies head coach Dan Hurley. Obviously we were just playing at a super high level, but we're not, I don't think we're obviously surprised by the margin of victory, but not surprised about where we're going next because this is who we've been for a large part of the season. Andrew Hawkins led the huskies with 20 points knocking down 6 three pointers while Alex caravan added 12. I'm Adam spelling.

Sean Davis: The Left Wants to Criminalize All Political Opponents
"Forget for a moment about Trump versus Santos versus Hailey Rama Swami I don't even want to get into any of that stuff right now because it's turned into I think primaries are good things but it's turned into kind of like a ridiculous food fight I think at this point this is about something a lot bigger than Donald Trump I don't care about anyone's feelings about him at this point This thing up in New York is an abomination I don't know any other word to describe it It's a law about a misdemeanor with a statute of limitations has already expired on this business records thing That was latched on to a felony that exists at the federal level because he was a federal candidate that they can't even prove happened and that the statute of limitations is expired on too I mean isn't this what the Soviets did Remember beria like show me the man I'll show you the crime What's the difference Yeah you actually stole that example right out of my mouth I was about to say that this is dozi level behavior And unfortunately it's become all too common on the left And what I like to remind people is it doesn't actually matter how you feel about Donald Trump whether you love him or hate him whether you want him to be president again or whether you want him to disappear Because the left isn't going to stop with Donald Trump here If they can go and they can de platformer president like Twitter and Facebook and Google and YouTube did sitting president of the United States If they can go in arrest whoever they want and throw them in prison for things that are crimes for example walking through an open door during business hours held open for you by police to a public building like happened to so many people in January 6th And then if they can go and arrest a potential a previous president in a potential future president for crimes that don't exist they're not stopping at Donald Trump Their goal is to criminalize all political opposition and it starts with him but it's not going to end there

Sean Davis: ATF Started Their Power Overreach Long Before Biden
"My fear is that this is a test case If they can just go randomly ban a gun accessory that was purchased legally for a decade with no problems right If they could just ban that and say okay we're not grandfathering this in Anyone who has these things is now in fact the felon if you don't destroy it or turn it in I mean what's next Sean you know trigger mechanisms glass sites what would they call them glasses at the top Well what's next Trijicon you know night sights I mean they can make anyone a felon if this is allowed to stand You're exactly right Unfortunately the bad news is this didn't start with the new guy with dental block or with Biden I actually think we started going down this road when Trump's DoJ did the bump stock band What you love bump stocks or hate him Personally I think they're stupid But what you had was bureaucracy go and say this inanimate object with no moving parts we are reclassifying this piece of plastic which under no universe satisfies the statutory definition of a machine gun which has a very specific definition if you have the thing you have a machine gun and sorry we're going to come after you and throw you in prison for having a legal machine gun That started this And I said at the time then if they can do it to that they can do it to say it Semi-automatic we're actually just going to classify that as a machine gun as a fully automatic as well because if you move your trigger finger fast enough you can make it fire fast So to me there is no difference between that between this awful pistol brace ruling It's a bunch of bureaucrats ignoring the law writing new laws themselves and criminalizing things which they explicitly said hey this is legal you can do this We give you our stamp of approval on it And then the next morning they say no actually you're all fellows That is not a representative democracy where rule of law exists That's peerage

Sean Davis: TikTok Should Be Banned
"Your thoughts on TikTok I'm torn on this I mean it's obviously a Chinese technological weapon for social destruction Get it Totally get it You don't have to sell me on it I'm in the tech space But I'm torn on it And the reason I'm torn on it is I think that the Democrats have linked shields with the Republicans here to get rid of TikTok not because they care about misinformation or foreign interference but if they can do that they want to go and start banning other platforms too Your thoughts after the hearing yesterday and what should be done about TikTok I think TikTok is an abomination It's poisoning our children's minds rewiring their brains doing so at the behest of the commies in China who by the way use a completely different algorithm and service among their own That's right You can't go and look up at this rot on Chinese TikTok It's all like learning and educational videos So there's the brain poisoning aspect There's the kami spying aspect where you are importing into your phone and into your life Chinese spyware So I think it absolutely should be banned It's a cancer Can you imagine during the Cold War if we were telling people hey you need to check out this great new device It's a Soviet radio It just happens to transmit stuff to the Soviets but don't worry we'll have really good radio program It would have been last out of the room But with TikTok it can't end with TikTok It has to end with us going acknowledging more with China spanning them from buying up our land buying up our farms preventing them from stealing all our IP And we need to stop making all our stuff over there Let's make stuff in America again and have a Manhattan Project for making stuff in America because if we don't do that we're cooked

Sean Davis: There Are Two Americas, the Right vs. The Left
"Heads I win tails you lose from the left So if you believe their whole theory of the crime which is that you can't be a candidate and engage in private legal settlements for whatever reason with other private citizens because that's basically your campaign doing it and it can't be your money because then it's basically the campaign money Well let's say you were to have done this out of campaign funds and he disclosed it That would have been illegal You can't spend campaign money on that And so what they've effectively said here is if you are a Republican you just don't get to do certain things that everyone else can do is just a matter of course You're no longer you're no longer allowed to have legal settlement You're not allowed to engage in private legal agreements That's just left for the left And the thing is they don't constrain this to campaigns They believe it about everything Remember peaceful protests during the summers of rage with BLM when they protest in air quotes and burn stuff down and shoot at cops and kill people that's just the language of the unheard It's the voice of the unheard But when Republicans and parents show up to a school board meeting to express their displeasure at the awful mild things that schools are forcing down the throat to their children the left wing Department of Justice goes and labels them domestic terrorists so they can spy on them and investigate them and open up criminal terrorism cases against them So we don't have rule of law anymore in this country We don't have due process anymore We have two standards and John Edwards total dirtbag total skis well But he was right when he said there are two Americas We a 100% have higher Americas and in one of them you get to have certain rights if you're a left winger and in another one if you were a right winger God help you

5 Years of Dems Saying the 'Walls Are Closing in' on Trump
"Here's a Montage This is worth every second About a minute and 20 seconds of what 5 years of the Democrats telling us the walls are definitely closing in The walls feel like they're closing in But as the world's closing around the president Donald Trump feels the walls closing in I think this is a guy who feels like the walls are closing in The walls are closing in on him because the walls are closing in The walls are closing in on the president Now the walls appear to be closing in the really kind of walls closing in on him Be the walls are closing in because the walls are indeed closing in I think at this point the walls are spinning The legal walls are closing in The walls are closing in on president Trump The walls mean while they're closing in on the president of the United States The walls closing in on president Donald Trump It appears that the walls are closing in on this president Feels that the walls are closing in on him of the walls closing in on him And the walls are closing in and the walls are closing in on that the walls are closing in on the president Are the walls closing in The walls are closing in on the presidency He says is the walls begin to close around him It's the political walls closing in on him This is a president that feels the walls closing in The walls are closing in on Donald Trump I think the walls are finally closing in The walls the walls of the walls The walls the walls walls walls and the walls the walls the walls the walls walls are closing closing in Closing Closing in Closing in on closing out The walls are closing in on president Donald Trump He's not looking forward to any of it He's horrified He's just talking big The walls are closing in As has been said before It's been said before schmo it's been said

Lisa Boothe: Will the Trump Indictment Go Forward?
"Lisa Boone first let's talk about Donald Trump So this is the second day now in a row The grand juries being sent home without an indictment You know you're pretty familiar with the legal process I mean that old line you can indict a ham sandwich is accurate It's not adversarial You walk into the grand jury room and you only tell one side of the story It is almost impossible to not indict someone There's no defense attorney there You could say almost anything Lisa as long as you don't lie What does it say to you that after two straight days now Two straight days There are apparently unable even in New York City to get an indictment issue I mean this is police state stuff at this point Well you know and we're talking about New York City right So we're talking about a left brain liberal city Right so it's not even indicting I mean it's even worse than that because it's New York City So I am praying this means that they're not going to move forward with an indictment against Donald Trump because I mean we know what that would mean for the country Dan I've really been thinking about this and thinking about just the basic question are we still constitutional republic And I don't know if we are Dan I mean we look more like an authoritarian nation than a country that believes in the rule of law that believes in freedom and liberty And so we know that this would set us down a really dangerous and dark path as a country

The Fed Has Two Options: Bank Failures or Inflation
"You combine this with our troubled economy how to listen during the break So Dan are you going to address the rate hike yesterday in the economy Yeah you're damn right aim because we're in a lot of trouble folks The fed right now our government we have two choices And we have only two choices The Federal Reserve and the Biden White House we have two choices right now The choices are a pick your poison No matter what the fed does you are either fighting against bank failures or you're fighting inflation You either going to get inflation or you're going to get bank failures coming up There's no option C I'm sure of it Remember this show and remember the date The fed rate raised their rates yesterday 25 basis points Not a huge hike They were doing 50 basis points before But real interest rates are still negative Meaning inflation is running at 6% the fed target rate now is about four and three quarters So effectively the real interest rate is still negative because four and three quarters is less than 6 which is the actual inflation rate which arguably is not arguably I believe but it's much higher I don't think the way the feds even calculate calculating inflation is accurate Here's the long and short of it The entire economy has been feasting on low interest rate money for a long time If this is complicated stop me in the audience send me a message and say you're born us too complicated I'm fascinated by this stuff But for years we have had zero or near zero interest rates So if you owned a company what would you do If you could borrow money where the real interest rate is negative on that money Think about what that means That means the money is effectively free That means you could borrow money to run your business and the value of what you borrowed goes down and down and down is real interest rates are negative It's effectively free money

"So I totally agree with you when it comes to the Republican primary in the Republican base And I think it could It could cinch the Republican primary for him Over who we all know to be the closest FrontRunner Ron DeSantis right I'm not making that call I'm just saying it could be the deciding factor right But here's the thing And I want to talk this out with you I don't know about the general Now here's why I say that Okay you're right about the stormy Daniel stuff That stuff's baked into the cake That ain't changing anybody's mind right I think that your challenge Dan bongino And my challenge will Cain is this Do we know that what this story is truly about is a two tiered justice system And I can go into the details of it and I can talk about the fact that no DA would ever pursue this including the previous DA or federal prosecutors that it's a misdemeanor that it's run past the statute of limitations And I can lay out the case about why this is so weak and therefore it's a political witch hunt I can lay that out right But the only people that are really going to take the time to listen to me on that are the people that care and know right away And that is the Republican base that sees the details is invested in understanding and sees that therefore the two tier justice system What my worry is Dan There's this other thing out there And I don't know what the better word for it than zeitgeist And it's just sort of the people who accept the news and it washes over them right And when it washes over you all you collect is a few details And you have to have these people to win an election You have to have some of these people in the general And again I don't think it's the stormy Daniels aspect I think it's going to be like this idea that Donald Trump broke the law period That's what they'll say right And what they're going to do by the way is run probably run the same play three times They may run it in Georgia and they may run it when it comes to Mar-a-Lago And you and it comes back to me and you and everyone out there to try to persuade those people who I don't think are dug in lefty Those people are lost right Don't worry

"Sunday Night Monday morning following the Thanksgiving holiday Hope you by the way have a great Thanksgiving holiday Talking about what is going in in Waukesha And there is a district attorney there And his name is John Chisholm And he is the DA and this is a guy who's quotes are coming back now to haunt him You know what he said back in 2007 and this is a guy who is setting the bail so low there in this part of Wisconsin He was quoted as saying you bet my bail reforms are going to kill people Well congratulations your predictions came true This guy it turns out if you pay any attention to this guy and he's getting a lot of attention as he should His quotes are now again coming back to haunt him He seems to be one of the leaders in this bail reform movement and he is one of the leaders out there who is a big proponent of wanting the bales to the bail to be set so low for guys like Darryl Brooks And so one of the big focuses of the conversation today as we go through all of this is going to be these district attorneys Not only in Waukesha but also in places like San Francisco and Los Angeles and Chicago as we look at this whole conversation regarding bell bail reform and see where the conversation goes next because I believe that this case is going to launch this topic into the spotlight and that's not going to be good for the Democrats The phone number is 8 6 6 90 redeye wanna say hello to this is Matt in North Carolina Matt you're on red eye radio hi Hello Dave nice to talk to you again I know I know Gary and Eric Let me tell you the thing about this guy and walk a shop and you're the only host that I've talked to today that pronounce it right I had a lady friend called me up today and say what is going on Nobody's freaking out about this guy I said she said nobody's talking about it Wait a minute Yes they are I've been on radio all afternoon and I wanted to say that the man needs the death penalty well proven guilty and that's not just my opinion Dan Right Well here's what I would say man No absolutely I agree with you wholeheartedly You know if the witnesses are correct and the witnesses say that he was driving his car into the parade he was zigzagging to hit people He was intentionally trying to hit people That's what witnesses say To me that is premeditated murder Now there might be some legal maneuvering there because I'm certainly not a lawyer I wouldn't be here in the middle of the night if I was but to me it does it sounds like premeditated murder and I very much appreciate your call Matt and the kind words as well When you talk about 8 year olds losing their lives needlessly at the hands of this guy Darryl Brooks who frankly should not have been out on the streets And you look at the anger that the American people are showing right now this is being discussed And it's being discussed in a way that is not going to be good for the Democrats And I really do hate to sound like I'm politicizing this but you know what In order for things to change you do need to talk about the politics of all of this My name is Dan man this is red eye radio.

"To go anywhere. Last cost that i went to a cannot remember all right. It's been sold all right. What do you got today. dan Right now Engineers in tokyo based company. Seven dreamers are creating a laundry folding robot called laundry. They started working on this in two thousand and five now. They finally have robot to show off an idea. Is you know it's an appliance. You dropped clean dry clothes in a box and pretty home appliance. Several hours later you collect the folded sorted island. It seems like an easy task. They say exactly hard. And that's why no one's ever done it before. Now go hand washing machines and dryers treat each items clothing the same but folding if you could have to require the plans to act identify garments able physically. Fold them folding towels. More complicated seemed and socks are almost impossible to the engineer. So how'd they fix it. Well they have three technologies image analysis artificial intelligence and robotics aven though there are multiple robot arms. Fold the clothes. They hidden inside a box that styled like italian luxury furniture got leather wood and glass on it. So i mean that's gonna make the is starting at five thousand dollars sixteen thousand dollars for the basal and that's why they do but they said even if you're grabbing socks and you grab two black socks idea to how many different textures shift some big grew. So you're saying this robot. Sixteen thousand dollars sixteen thousand. I would have never folded close ever in my life. Here's my question for you so dan. How often do you do laundry even with a pandemic and you're not changing your work clothes every day. How often do you do launch. Probably do folow two week. Four loads a week. How many outfits are you weren't dan. I've got a pair of pants every sunday afternoon. I'm like award. He's all week long. I i spend two in tiling. And i got all the way i gotcha molin lawns and different things. Like house pants and stuff. I always every time you come over. I'm always dressing. Whatever are worn all week that week. Yes so my house pants and my house shirt well. We have higher standards and monkey elliott in marshfield. It is we. Don't get a whole lot of people but yes sixteen thousand sixteen thousand dollars. I would pay someone an annual salary of sixteen thousand dollars if they could come over and just fold laundry and i have found out something that may may not be scientific but the sooner you take the clothes out of the dryer and fold them the easier they are. If you do it right away you go there and fold them get it over and done with in five minutes otherwise it sits there for. We can just doesn't matter all my closer jeans and t shirts t shirts like the low polo shirts. I don't have an office job now at the time you know when we were before the pandemic amy had to wear professional. I mean she had to wear dress pants dresses. Slacks high heel shoes blouses. All that stuff now. I always make fun of her because she's got like one of my old t shirts and she's got like food stuck to it. I called her daycare t shirt because he ever seen the kid when he comes back from dacre daycare. He's got shit all stuff to assure all right. What else kathy. Where's your nightgown. And then she puts a jacket over it so people think because address addressing. She goes out and does gardening. It's time his own. Alright what else. You got I don't know if you've ever heard of streams sniping stream sniping. Yeah as more people stay stream themselves. Playing games are you. Let me figure out what stream sniping is. yeah. I was thinking it was sniping. Salmon out of the waterways. Close very close okay. As more people they stream themselves to play a game and they stream themselves live on twitter. Youtube just like us. Yeah and people are watching the game. But when you're doing it and it's like you say you're in a competitive multiplayer game. They can see where you are and that allows the opponent to sneak up and flanked them simply watching this stream as they're playing it so someone could have two monitors and be watching the stream of their player in know where they are so they can attack him. That sounds like a lot of time on someone else's and you know some games like call of duty of introduced the ability to hide server names so you can't find them so it's not a big deal but some of these kids they're doing it and they're stream sniping and they are also when they do the stream sniping They can be banned. So but the worst part about it is when the st stream snipers can find out that the person they play against his thirty years old and still living in mother's basement and reading heinz mack cheese mac cheese and drinking the next bud light. No i i had a call of duty party when the call duty came out of my house and we were all in separate rooms. We had a big fifty inch. Tv at the time in in one room and a sixty inch tv in the other room and we would play against each other. And you would sit there because you've got the split screen to see where your opponent is people. I think there was eight and all eight could play. Yeah because they would have split screen with four characters on their screen. And then i would have split screen with our forecast our team on our and you would sit there if you saw your buddy in the bottom right hand corner die. Oh he's over there by the truck. I know where that trucks and then you walk on your screen walk over there and find a guy and all that stuff so yeah. It's almost the same thing in You know what. I'm talking about pictures out just thinking hollywood squares and you see all the people that can see charlie. We rippin the corner wavy. She got Just something else just something not to be morbid but before you die you have to decide who gets access to online counseling digital file. He will get through. They go through court. They go through all these different things because of that dan and somebody you know when somebody dies. I don't want people to you. Know my i have right now. I just have photos up on. Amazon dot com. But you know people are on facebook there on twitter. There are all these different instagram. All these different groups and what you really have to do is let people know someone that you trust at your to carry on. When you're gone you have to have a contact list. You have to let them know the passwords for these groups how to get on the facebook. There is a place you can go on in memoriam. It's called in your settings and you can set it up that this person is gonna tick caretake from my account and they can close it. They can add things to it. I was just going to say yeah. Facebook's got it all set up when you when you do the terms of agreement they literally ask you. What do you want to happen to your account when you die. Not if you if you're gonna die when you die big if you know but And but you people have stuff all different things. Banking counts and The bank accounts would be covered in. Your will power of attorney. Yeah but let's say your social media accounts is what you're saying. Yeah social media accounts. But you also i mean if you have a banking account and you have something. That's automatic payments taken out every month. you know. let's say it's life insurance and go home. Yeah i don't think a need some dead you need. Someone needs to get the passwords and have them someone you can trust or you that india will have all these things set out so those are released so person can vary if we actually had this exact thing happened now remember in the show. I said her father passed away my father-in-law pass away and she had everything taken care of and all the bills and everything were were. Shut off the one bill that we could not figure out or she could not figure out because it's her dad not anywhere related to them that way is the marshfield garbage. He was the money was coming out of that account on a regular basis. And she would have. She couldn't log in she could and it's small. I mean you know. It's like thirty dollars a month but it was. It was in his account. It was always coming out his account and then she said i've tried a million times tried to say stop shake off. Phone calls to phone calls emails all the stuff she said. You know what. I'm gonna just go pull all the money out and let that count. Just sit and be darned to have and then the money will come out. And they're gonna come looking for him will say it's not going to happen so she figured out that way. But i mean just something as simple as that when you talk about automatic payments. Yeah that is correct. How do you you've got more. What is the the terminology. I'm trying you have more technical stuff to take care of. When you're dead then your house and your car and your house you car and stuff if someone passes away or a family member pass away you automatically know where that's going to go. Yes your your technical.

"Stay tuned. There's more coming up on the peak financial freedom. Our with Jim and Dan Right. We have another mailbag question and this is from an and she's from Davis. She says. Hi, guys. I heard you on the radio talk about stress testing my portfolio Are you talking about? How stressed I am about my portfolio because they don't need a test for that. I am stressed out and worried. Every day makes it hard to sleep. What is a stress test for my portfolio? It sounds more like a mental or medical tests than a financial one. And how does it work? How can I get this done, and that's how you what kind of funny that we described that. But you're not the only one that stressed out about their portfolio. We see people every single day that come in and seek a second opinion, and they're totally anxiety all they worry about their portfolio constantly, particularly since we've been in such a large and long bull market run. They're afraid every day that what happens when the market research How much am I going to lose? And they haven't been given these answers. So your question is very timely is something that every single consumer listening to the show should have done under portfolio. It's have a stress test to determine how much risk you have right now. In detect correspond with your objectives likely It won't and what we do here at our firm. As we use outside third party firms, they do their research firms. They have developed software and systems for us to take your portfolio. We will take each position you have in your portfolio. We will entered into the system. This portfolio attracts every trade of every securities since 2004. They will go back to 2008 and nine and determine and estimate how much you would have lost based on how you can Really configured in position today, Then what they do is they do a projection based on how your portfolio is correlated to the general market and other volatility and statistical measurements. They will determine on an estimated basis. What you're likely LaDuke they lose in the next market crash. This is extremely extremely valuable information, because now it will tell you exactly what you've asked here. Is how much risk do I really have in my portfolio unless it's done scientifically, you just guessing not that when Jim made it sound very complicated and very scientific, but it's really easy. Basically, we're going to enter the data and we're going to show you one page is going to say if the market as well, Here's how much you would be projected to make that the market is terribly here's how much are projected to lose. It'll be that simple right at the end of the process, But Jim's right, there's so many pieces of data and so many calculations to go in. That it sounds like Oh my gosh. Are you going to be able to understand it? You'll definitely understand it because you will see what you have right now in your portfolio, and it's going to tell you good and bad. It's going to tell you the good meeting if the market goes up 30 plus percent like it did in 2013. How much would your portfolio globe? I just did analysis and the market went up. I think by 32% in 2000 and 13 had a client where her portfolio would have went up by 35%. So she was all Overjoyed. Then we did the risk analysis and it showed. If the stock market went through another financial crisis between 2007 and 2009, the stock market would have lost 53%. She would have lost 62%. So do we want to really be in that position? Not at all. But the position you're in right now, and is to make sure that you do have a stress test because you are concerned about it. You should be concerned about it. Everybody listening should be concerned about it. And she stressed out about it because she doesn't feel like she has any control over her money. She has no control. She's just leaving the money in. It goes up and down. And if you Get to decide and how much risk you want to take. And you tell us you want to take 5% risk or no more than 10% risk or 0% risk. As we help you define that we then create a portfolio that is projected to give you that type of risk level. Now you feel like you'll be back in control and you won't worry about your money as much. You'll still worry about it a little bit. But what if we can reduce your worries in your stress by 70 or 80% Think about how that would feel and how you could walk through life if you're listening out there and you have any questions. And want to talk to us about this topic or any other feel free. Just dial pound 2 50 on your cell phone and say the keyword money Pound 2 50 on your cell phone and say the keyword money. We look forward to him. If you've got an insurance question you could talk to your nana. But she'd probably just tell you how she insured her couch from stains by covering it with plastic..

We love the original music because we can't afford the other music we love the orgin. Abby lowell the smartest man in washington joins us now because two things of bubbled up in the last seventy two hours. Maybe a little bit more than that that involve athletes of tremendous consequence one and olympic sprinter and won the highest one year. Deal ever for a pitcher. I believe so the she carry richardson. a lot to be the favourite in one hundred meters in the olympics in tokyo. And trevor bauer is a big deal pitcher one these reigning cy young award winner in the national league and they are in a certain amount of trouble in terms of being able to pursue their craft. And we'll start. What you carry richardson she has been popped for using marijuana probably not to use it for any competitive advantage because it's sorta hard to believe it gives you a competitive advantage. She had already qualified for the olympics. As a sprinter she used it. She has said i did it. I knew the rule. I did it abby. A lot of people say that it's a bad rule but until you change the rule it is the rule. How do you look at her circumstance. Because she's accepted a one month suspension. That will keep her out of the individual races but may allow her to be on the relay races in tokyo so this is the complexity of having four different bodies of law and rules. Right you have yes The united states law. When you're in the united states you have a state law and for example on marijuana. There's not all fifty states that have the same you have the. Us olympic rules and you have the international was and the problem is. It's not wrong. In some theoretical way to have an athletic organization make rules that are different than what the law that non athletes us right. I mean you can all say yeah. That kind of makes sense. The problem is. How old are those rules. And who made them to begin with and do they carry with them. Sort of an archaic view of what the rules should be an and in terms of some of these rules. Who made them is like. Was it a bunch of like eleven white guys. Twenty five years ago making rules that are still in effect and so the problem is where is the line and in you're right i mean take take her. For example you know the rule says drugs can disqualify you want it's performance enhancing and another one is something. And then the third is like a you know cast aspersions on your sport or something like that. Well to begin with you're right. You know. Think about it i. I don't know this from first hand but my understanding of people who use marijuana is that it's not only not enhancing think about it like if she did it she probably wanted to go out and get fried food and donuts and it wasn't gonna make a run very fast so you know. I think one of the questions that people ask is well wait. Why does that make sense for rule. That doesn't conform on the other hand. You know sometimes. We want these athletics to have rules. Like i mean you know i. I don't know what would come to mind. But i mean think of tennis. For example i mean everybody can wear anything except the wimbledon where you can only wear white and when like rafa decided he would take his sleeves off that was probably the scandal of the united kingdom. So consequently there's the tension and let me show you where it goes before we get to the next example. I my partner in my firm has represented athletes against the ncaa in in the issues of whether you can you know they can raise funds or make funds for their name and likeness and whether they can have funds attributed to them so the rules make sense when you think about them at twenty five thousand feet but their archaic like the ncaa rules are and then they change but they change slowly. So for her for kerry. Richardson is it. Is it fair. People will come out on both sides of that issue and it does seem to me that when there is a rule that isn't connected immediately to performance and it doesn't have the immediate effect of it being something as vague as does it cast some aspersion the sports. That's where it gets tricky and that's where people should reconsider. Yeah so we have a situation where there there's reportedly An incident in her life that caused her great distress. The death of a loved one and then. She sought refuge for that for that pain by using marijuana. She has an. I can't stress this enough. She says i did this. I knew the rule. I did this. I accept the punishment what i'm asking now and i. I suspect i know the answer. But i think people would ask this the law. I mean does does she have legal recourse as we understand the law the law being written to affect the entire citizenry. You know the law of the land which is different than the law of athletics. Different than the law of the olympics certainly the international olympic committee. If she can she go to a court in the united states. I suspect she can't but i'm asking. Can she go to court in the united states and say. Get me relief from this. Well you know you. Just define as i started the conversation at various levels of law and rules the law can say something is okay to do but you as a club member as somebody who lives in a homeowners association as somebody who signs up to be an athlete for the olympic team sign agreement contract of you know orally or in writing that says i will abide by your rules which are more restrictive ryan the law of the state or the country and so the answer to your question straight on his no The other issue there is an here shows. The potential arbitrariness of the system is that so. She says i did it. It's not performance enhancing. She understands that she was doing something which she admits she knew was wrong. But they will be the the arbitrariness of like all right four weeks. Why not two weeks. Why not one week. Why not a reprimand. Don't do it again. And they are again lies the problem with rules that are not basically in hard concrete in in various laws because laws you know we do basically try to set out the parameters of the punishment here when you have institutions deciding what will be the punishment is it includes another level of potential arbitrariness. And so she could have for this offense for the reason she did. It admitted say she did it. But the institution the organization could have said okay. This is your first defense. You know we give people a second bite at the apple and it could have been a reprimand. You know what i mean. So there's another level it's not just broke the law or rule not law but rule rule. What happened what what happens with it. But she doesn't have any recourse in court if she kinda voluntarily decided to abide by more restrictive rules one more point on that in our history and you see it now like with voting rights right. The united states federal government can say thou shall have the right to vote And the states can say yes but i want you to show an idea. I want you to stand on your head and sing the star spangled banner and so when you start delegating how a law is interpreted or how a rule is interpreted you end up with this possibility that we all abide by on some level but olympic organizations clubs homeowner associations and states can do something with it that makes it more restrictive and at some point it does get to if it does violate a bigger law. It's due process. You know if it's equal protection. If for example i mean look at one of the other issues going on right on the swimming team. There's some weird rule being imposed that you can't wear certain Bathing cap which basically people of color used based on different hairstyles. That's where you start worrying about whether the rules do basically conflict with something that's bigger and broader like you know equal protection due process..

"Dan Ray until you BZ Boston's news radio. Okay, We're gonna get everybody in in this final segment this hour. Pam is in Boston. Hi, Pam. Welcome. Next on I said thanks for calling in. Hello, Kim. You've been racing is not an issue, but I've never heard of the press going to Dan Conley house. I think it's because she's a black woman that they thought You could just show about her home with her family. Inside. That report is lucky. She has a police officer to protect her that he didn't get shot reaching into a trunk. No. Well, he called. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go from. Why would the police officers shoot someone who's reaching into a trunk trunk? He's there to protect her. So, therefore anybody who looks suspicious the police should shoot. Think week into a trunk. Yeah. Home sweet and pulled out a camera when you went to when you went to up it, politician somewhere. You invited Oftentimes we showed up unannounced. Well, that's the point. Just inappropriate. There reminds to be drawn. The woman should be fired. You're obviously on one side. Well, I don't think so. I don't think the young, by the way happen to be a young woman who conducted herself. I thought her races you say, race doesn't matter. But yet you really want to know what the reporters race was. I got race. Didn't matter. The reporter and I just think it was totally inappropriate to show up with people. So maybe you think that point clear I hear your point. I disagree with you. The reporter was a white handle her again extremely well. I think it's my killed. You're in my home. OK, good. That's fine. I'm sure that if Rachel's listening she will be she will be happy to have your support in the history of Boston. I lived in Boston 54 years. I've never heard of them going to the district attorney Seoul Have you? Yes, sure. He's a black woman that they decided to go to her home questions. I'm not going to try to dissuade you of view misimpression weeks ago three weeks ago. Yeah, Yeah, You're right. E think that wasn't even major. We have serious problems in this city, and I don't think the media treats police Commissioner Any any better And it's terrible. And us is a community and boys. I think the police commissioner really gross if you get you do you know the commission to do? Do you know what we grasp it? All I know. No, they need the black man and that he's a wonderful commissioner and do me a favor When you see Willie Gross sometime the way he's been tough to have a conversation with her pimp when you see when you see Willie Gross sometime Tell them that I asked him how Dan Right has treated him over the years, which would be behind enough to do that for me. I'm not saying you didn't I'm thinking that I have witnessed him being treated. Differently than any other white male commissioner. Well, I got to tell you if I if I saw that I would criticize it because I think I think I know why not just say that my opinion is important. Not that my opinion is important, but I think Willie Grass is the best police commissioner is important in your shoe. In your opinion to be one sided. It's terrible. You're a news person. You should be. I'm a cop. I'm a talk show host, Pam. I was a news person. I'm a talk show host. And I'm I'm telling you, you know, I'm sorry, Pam. I really did try to have a conversation. So I'm gonna move on to someone who perhaps wants to talk with me about this. Expand. But if you see a really gross sometimes just ask him how Dan rate what he thinks about Dan. Right? Okay. Okay. Let's go next to Bob in California, Bobby, like you went to Maureen. Go right ahead, Bob. Yeah. Dan, honey. First of all, Happy New Year. Hey, Happy New Year to you as well. Thank you. With all due respect, I agree with pan and other collars. I think it was completely inappropriate. That reporter to show up like that at Rachel's house, where she has Children, and she said that was highly inappropriate. Number two, Rachel asked. You keep talking about the reporters. Good behaviors you're saying Yes, Rachel? Well, Rollins, she asked the reporter two or three times to get off for private property two or three times, she asked her. And the reporter kept pushing and did not initially honor that request to get off for private property. Okay, so kudos to Rachel Boy takeover overall. State behavior sell very well. I don't really see, with all due respect to you why this is such a big Issue for this hour because again the reporters on private property so reporter was asked two or three times to get off to private property. And she didn't she finally did. But Rachel's on the right on this, um, drop, with all due respect to you. I think that if if you listened Theo, do me a favor. Um, you're going on a computer. Did you listen to the entirety of the The reporter on Channel 25. No did then the point is, Don't let me just let me just let me just suggest something to you. And you can do it or you can't if you get a moment, um I think the entire conversation if you want to call it a conversation or confrontation. Lasted about three or four minutes. Uh, and it's it's there in its entirety in the story that channel 25 filed. I watched it in its entirety. Um, I do not believe that she asked. She did ask her. She had to take your plane. You played the tape 45 minutes ago, two or three times, Rachel said, get off my property and then three times, But it was at the end of the interview..

"To the calls. You got to get everybody and I promised we'd be there. Stay there. Here we go. We've got John in Boston, John. Next on nights, I'd go right ahead, Sir John. I'm Dan. You're John. I'm sorry Idea. I'm John. Hi, John. Okay, We've got that straight away. That's a very strong start to this conversation already. So I just I was looking at things with them differently. I think it all lit up. It was many years of this lead up to this. You know, there's this basically if you want to call it right, it wasn't really right. I just say it was an emotional attack on the council. And I think it was a riot. Don't you think it was a riot? I mean, I would say it was a right. It's all right. Describe. Just I don't want you quickly. How do you describe a right What I mean. E. What Try it is, uh, well, these guys were fighting for the truth. Let's be honest. That's what I wanted to get. It doesn't matter what you're fighting for. What I'm just saying is all I'm just saying this It was a riot. I mean that they What do you want to be? Oh, I don't see. Okay, let's let's call it an insurgency. We could call it that. Well, it's well, I say it differently because my nephew right now is training is actually He finished bugs training He gave my brother his shirt is brown shirt. He said that he's a Navy seal. He's going to be a Navy seal My nephew so good for him. Well, what I'm saying is this girl who got Killed. Unfortunately, I think in her own brain, she's a 17 year old veteran 17 year veteran I think You know, she really believed for the cause. I honest to God. I believe she believed in the cause. I'm sure does. There was emotion, emotion behind it, so there wasn't a hate filled Hate filled ride it like you saw over the summer with black lives matter. And as for you, that was a head filled it. AII American hate filled, right, Charles. All right, John. Let's get to the truth. John. Hold on. Hold on. Just for a second. Let's have a conversation. Okay? We're friends. We're not enemies. Okay? Both. Both sets of people in those causes. Both sets of people in those causes firmly believe that that they you know are fighting for Just cause OK now there was some people there who are good. Okay, So what I'm saying is, it's got the question always is gonna be. Does the ends justify the means and we live in a society in my opinion with this Sort of behavior is really damaging. That's all I'm saying. That's all I'm so hard right? But it comes down to the education in the actual facts behind the education. Now, let's be honest here. What's happening with this country if you allowed China by $17 Billion worth of land in Texas, Okay in two by 12 4015 you allow China Bye. 17 billion worth of land. Now let's get back on this. 2013 You allow China to buy Smithfield pork. Now you could you are controlling talks throughout the world. Now they're the biggest export. So with a superpower, Dan right, a superpower needs not only strength Not only strengthened military, but you need strength in the economy. You can't arrive. But what does this have? What does this have to do What I'm trying to get at Jonah's this You're going to say a lot of stuff they agree with. What does that have to do? What does it have to do with What we're talking about. It proved Dan. That's what it is. What's happened? Freeze! Yeah, so to take over land. Countries. Corporations drops and these people are not doing good for the country for the American working there, not the Democrats. Don't you get it? Are you paying attention? Look at what is happening. China is buying our country. They all were two trillion About debt. They own it. Okay. I know I am concerned, concerned about all of that, John, but that does not justify What happened on Wednesday. You on If you're allow it, then if you're allowing if you're allowing a foreign adversary to come in, basically sneaked into your country, Okay, Think about it. Okay, Johnny can't change your mind and I tried my best. But no, you can't because it's not true. Okay. All right. John enjoyed the conversation. I really did. Thanks very much. We'll try again next time. Okay. I don't know how you deal with That As a conversation John and Worcester, John and Worcester. How are you? And in Boston. Hi. Welcome back, Um Yeah, you. You I You have to give you a lot of praise for your diplomat. Well, what? I'm trying to what I'm trying to do. I'm probably not a diplomat, but what I'm really trying to do. To be honest with you is all I'm trying to do at this point is get people to talk with one another, as opposed to at one another. And as much as I tried to talk with John From Boston to China with him. I failed miserably E No on now they take off on something You said last year, the year before. I don't know sometime back, you said. You know it. If we can't get people to talk and listen That's how wars get started. That's one man. I've heard you say that. Uh, now as too okay. Why they didn't have enough Police. There was an interview on NPR earlier that might shed some light. They interviewed somebody down in D. C and they said that Because.
