"On 7 20 wg, and it's news in sports today, the just out with release after its meeting today, and Kevin, can you decipher it? Ah, well, really, not a whole lot of details. I mean, the guy just releasing this statement, saying that they are inviting members and representatives from Governor Prince Sir's office. November 19th that was there originally scheduled meeting. They held this one today, just to kind of figure things out because under the guidance of the essay, which is essentially defying the governors, Recommendations on what they should be doing. Practices can begin in five days. November 16th. So the board announced that schools who do who do still plan to begin basketball practice on the 16th should adhere to level one mitigations from the I, D. P H, which is essentially Very limited noncontact. Just some training of things like that. Not your typical basketball practice. Um, they should adhere to level one mitigations beginning November 16th until at least November, 19th, which is when the I'd just say, hopes to have a more thorough conversation with the governor's office and the I d pH. I'm not laughing at it. I'm just kind of it's just that they're pulling back the throttle a little bit until this next meeting a little. They really just want to have another thorough conversation is you know you had Craig Anderson on was that Week or two ago, And he said, Look, the decision they made to go against the guidance of the governor wasn't meant to be adversarial. Lt's more of kind of given a hard date for some of these schools decide what they want to do. The I just said board did say that among the 546 schools who responded to the survey about participating starting November 16th. Nearly 300 of those schools do not plan to start on the 16th. Another 212 schools remain unsure of this status. So really, no clarity from the eye to say. But maybe we will on November 19th if they do get representatives from governor, producer's office and the idea pH. Maybe a little bit more clarity there. Alright, Kevin Paul is on that. Thanks for it. We need to say hello now to Senate Minority Leader Dan McConkie of Hawthorn Woods. Just recently reelected, elected the Republican leader in the Senate senator Welcome Good to be on with you today. I appreciate it. Congratulations on your selection. Thank you very much. It's a big room responsibility, especially in our current times. Yeah, you know, I'm just thinking of past Senate presidents and the guy's like pate, Philip in Phil Rock, and you know, on and on and and you. You've got quite a history there to fulfill. Some other care of some others. Not so much, but yeah. So we had some restaurant owners on earlier and they had data from the city of Chicago is a freedom of information request. And they said, according to the city's data Now we haven't heard from the city on this. The restaurants have spoken. Of the city's data there have been 75. They're about 70,000 restaurant employees only 300 or so of tested positive for covert 19. They say there have been about 8000 contact traced cases sit during a period of I think it was made of June. Ah, and only 585. So about 7% had been to a restaurant in the two weeks prior Illinois, according to Open table is the only state in the country that is allowing no indoor dining. Do you think that's a question that needs to be revisited? Absolutely, You know, I spoke to Health department officials up in my area here in the Northwest suburbs. And they said the same thing you know, one of the things that they said, is that when the governor first put in Place Koven restrictions that he said he would work with local health departments in order to ensure that the mitigation efforts that were done or in response to the data and the local help of health officials up here are saying that restaurants do not appear to be a problem. It appears to be private gatherings. You know, baby showers people piling in their basement to watch football. Things like that. There's other stuff, but that restaurant's really are not the problem and local health officials the Astra governor to allow for You know restaurants to be able to operate at least somewhat more than what the governor is currently allowing, and that it's so far they're not allowing him to see if I can argue for the governor. I don't know that this would be his argument, but he can't do much about the bridal showers or the football gatherings in the basement. You know that's kind of aside from advising beyond his control. At least this is something he can control. How would you counter that? Well, The issue is that even if he's doing it in order to try to help, the problem is is that the data doesn't show that it would make any sort of difference. There was an article in the Chicago Tribune today that indicated that allowing restaurants to operate a 20% capacity would be appears to be perfectly safe. And that that would allow for actually practice less. I mean, if you if you're hiring people in some limited capacity to go into a local restaurant and be ableto social distance from other groups. It probably makes it less likely that then people are going to go and have parties and do other things on their own, where there's no controls the weather, and so how do you get the governor? Because I mean, I think the governor sincere in this I mean, I think he's trying to do what he thinks is right. So how do you get him to come around in a way that Isn't terribly embarrassing. I mean, it looks like he's caved in me that took it that it's sort of tricky there..
